AP News. I'm Ed Donahue. Prosecutors say they are open to delaying the upcoming start of Donald Trump's Hush Money trial in New York. To give the former president's lawyers time to review evidence that was only recently turned over. The Manhattan District Attorney's office said in a court filing that it's not opposed to adjourning the start of the trial for not more than 30 days. The jury selection in the trial is scheduled to begin March 25th. The judge has yet to rule on the request. Trump's lawyers are seeking a 90-day delay or the dismissal of charges against Trump. They allege violations of what's known as the discovery process where the sites exchange evidence. I'm Norman Hall. Donald Trump has been listening in court in Florida as lawyers argue over whether to dismiss his classified documents case. He's accused of illegally retaining classified documents after leaving the White House. Donald Trump's Treasury Secretary, Stephen Mnuchin, says he wants to put a group together to buy TikTok. He tells CNBC another tech company shouldn't buy it. I think there could be anti-trust issues on that. And this should be something that's independent so we have a real competitor. And users love it. So it shouldn't be shut down. The House passed a bill that would ban TikTok in the U.S. if it's China-based owner does not sell at stake. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says Israel should hold new elections saying he believes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has lost his way in the fighting with Hamas. SpaceX's mega rocket Starship blasted off on another test flight. Starship soared off the southern tip of Texas near the Mexican border and headed out over the Gulf of Mexico. 30 seconds into flight, we are feeling the rumble. We are seeing 33 out of 33 raptor engines ignited on the super-heavy booster. But the company says it lost contact with Starship as it neared its goal, a splashdown in the Indian Ocean. No people or satellites were on board. The Dow finished down 137 points. This is AP news. The U.N. says many countries have recovered from the coronavirus. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, development in some of the poorest countries around the world has stalled and some are getting worse according to the U.N. development program. The head of the agency said that for two decades, which in poor countries were coming closer in terms of development. Post-COVID-19, however, there's a clear sign they're drifting apart. It pointed to almost 40% of global trading goods concentrated in three or fewer countries. It also said the stock market value of Amazon, Apple and Microsoft surpassed the GDP of more than 90% of the 193 U.N. member nations in 2021. I'm Karen Shamas. Governor Dan McKee says a critical Rhode Island bridge that was partially shut down over safety concerns in December will need to be demolished and replaced.
