AP news. I'm Ed Donahue. Prosecutors say they're open to delaying the start of Donald Trump's New York Hush Money criminal trial to give the former president's lawyers time to review evidence that was only recently turned over. The trial is supposed to start March 25th. Meantime in Florida, Donald Trump is in court as his lawyers are urging a federal judge to dismiss the criminal case, accusing the former president of illegally retaining classified documents after he left the White House. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an obstacle to peace, and the people of Israel should elect a new leader. Here's the AP, Sagar Magani. In an unusually direct appeal, Schumer called for new elections in Israel, saying Netanyahu has lost his way by allowing his political survival to take the precedence over the best interests of Israel, which are now being stifled by what Schumer says is a governing vision stuck in the past. Senate GOP counterpart Mitch McConnell immediately responded. Israel is not a colony of America and says the US can either respect Israel's decisions or disrespect its democracy at the White House and State Department. We know that your Schumer feels strongly about this and certainly let him speak to it into his comments. These are statements made by Senator Schumer, not by the Biden administration. spokesman John Kirby and Matthew Miller tried to stay out of it, noting the administration's focused on making sure Israel can both protect itself and Gaza's civilians, Sagar Magani Washington. They're counting snowfall totals in feet in parts of Colorado. Chad Gemestad is with the National Weather Service. There are some places that have had three or four feet of snow. And then even at the bottom of the foothills, places like Boulder and the western suburbs of Denver, there's been about a foot of snow so far. Flights have been canceled. Highways are closed. This is AP news. There is a push in Oklahoma to weaken penalties for cockfighting. Oklahoma outlawed cockfighting in 2002. A proposal to weaken penalties has cleared the state house backed by Anthony Dvor of the game foul commission. We have fentanyl, which is a misdemeanor and it killed 10,000 people in Oklahoma every year. And I think death by roosters is zero. There is even video with Governor Kevin Stitt backing the game foul commission. People that don't like me want to try to bring something up and that kind of stuff. Of course, I'm not for legalizing game cockfighting. Rooster fighting is illegal at the federal level. Former Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson says state lawmakers and police may just look the other way. It's a pretty easy call when 60, 70, 80 percent of their county voted no on the issue to soft pedal it.
