A. P. News. I'm Ed Donahue, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has lost his way in the war with Hamas. He's calling for new elections in Israel. That is for the Israeli public to decide. A public that I believe understands better than anybody that Israel cannot hope to succeed as a pariah opposed by the rest of the world. President Biden has been increasing public pressure on Netanyahu's government, arguing he needs to pay more attention to the civilian death toll. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says Israel deserves an ally that acts like one. It is grotesque and hypocritical for Americans who hyperventilate about foreign interference in our own democracy to call for the removal of the democratically elected leader of Israel. But again, just it's incredible to see how much further we got this time around. SpaceX is Don Hewitt says they lost contact with Starship. Federal officials are investigating after an American Airlines plane flying from Dallas to L.A. suffered a tire problem. Just a week after United Airlines jetliner lost a tire during takeoff. American says their flight landed safely and taxi to the gate under its own power. The 87-year-old Francis made the comments in an autobiography which is being published next week. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs' staff is visiting weapons factories in Oklahoma and Arkansas, as the Pentagon frames the $95 billion aid package hanging in the balance on Capitol Hill as not only vital to Ukraine's survival, but also critical to the economy. This is AP News. Russia State Media reports Yemen's Houthi rebels have a new hypersonic missile. The report by Russian news agency RIA Novosti provided no evidence for the claim, only citing an unnamed official as the source. A new hypersonic missile would, however, potentially raise the stakes as the rebels continue to attack ships in the Red Sea since November. So far, the U.S. and others have been able to down any missiles or drones that come near their warships in mid-east waters. However, hypersonic weapons could pose crucial challenges to missile defence systems because of their speed and maneuverability. The Houthis say the attacks sort of force Israel to end the war in Gaza. I'm Karen Shamas. Police near Hartford, Connecticut say a one-year-old boy died after being bitten several times by a dog. The death is under investigation. Police also say two dogs were removed from the home. I'm Ed Donahue, AP News. Hello, Saver!
