Your morning ray of sunshine, ba anan sivkumar, we can't be he or she, a math and runner in his 20s can run 30 kilometers at a trot and feel like it has a walk in the park. A 50-year-old dealing with the vicaries of age-related health issues might do just 7 kilometers and that would be as fantastic or more. In this meta-world, where we spend half our time counting other people's social media likes, we end up constantly comparing our accomplishments with others and disparaging ourselves. But that's idiotic. Can one compare the readership of an exquisitely worded poem to that of a smart novel? Point is, each of us is a snowflake utterly unique. As are our life situations, our challenges, our journeys, how then can we compare someone else's achievements to us and feel like we are not good enough. In fact, even the word achievement is subjective. For the marathon runner, 30 kilometers is in the milestone. For the older gent, seven is phenomenal. We are not here to compete with or be like anyone else. Our only job is to keep being a better version of ourselves. And that is defined by who we are, not by what anyone else has done, or on the world's likes and assets. When a heart tells us we fought a heart out and did well, that's quite enough reason to feel happy. Sunshine in your day. (dramatic music) [MUSIC PLAYING]
