When The Impossible Becomes Possible - Pastor Sampson
and got a little thought on my heart for tonight. And I, it's been a while since I preached twice on Sunday. Hallelujah praise the Lord. And how many don't feel like I can do it? Hallelujah. I haven't done it yet, Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Well, we talked about desperate situations this morning. And how many knows that not only is there desperate situations, but there is situations that seem impossible. Amen. Sometimes the wall looks like it can't be penetrated. It can't be climbed over. It can't, but the one writer said, by my God, by my God, I can run through a troop and jump over a wall. One preacher got excited and said, I can run through a wall and jump over a troop, Hallelujah. That's possible to with this God that I serve, amen. Hallelujah praise the Lord. I'm going to Matthew the 17th chapter and the 14th verse. And we're going to read here about, oh, maybe about six verses. Then you can be seated. Hallelujah praise the Lord. How many's got Matthew 17 verse 14 through 20? And when they were come to the multitude, there came to a certain man kneeling down to him and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son. He's a lunatic and sore vexed for off times. He falleth into the fire and off into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. And then Jesus answered and said, oh, faithless and perverse generation. How many can say tonight, God help my faith? Help me to believe, God. Help my unbelief tonight, God. Oh, faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bringing hither to me, hallelujah. How many knows that you can bring your impossible situations to God, hallelujah? Praise the Lord. And all of a sudden that which seemed impossible, it becomes impossible, it becomes possible. He said, how long shall I suffer you? Bring him unto me. Jesus rebuked the devil, and he departed out of him. And the child was cured from that very hour. Hallelujah. You could be seated tonight just for a little while. I want to talk to you when the impossible becomes possible. Hallelujah. And some of the hindrances that might stand between you and the possibility of you getting the miracle that you're needing, the healing that you're needing. It doesn't matter what the diagnosis with my God. There's hope after the diagnosis. Hallelujah. Sometimes we have a tendency to come home. We come home in a tizzy. We come home fearful. We come home afraid. We come home full of uncertainty because of the diagnosis. But I'm here to tell you today that with my God, there is nothing that's impot. You're not hearing me. There is nothing that's impossible. Impossible simply means not possible beyond the bounds of possibility. Out of the question, not worth considering, it's unthinkable. It's inconceivable. It's unattainable. It's unachievable. It's hopeless. It's hopeless. It just sums it up in a nutshell. Any way you want to word it, it's hopeless. It ain't going to happen. There's no way that it can happen. But my Bible tells me if you got faith as the grain of a mustard seed, you could say the on-mountain can be cast into the sea and the mountain will be gone. I'm telling you with God, all things are possible. With man, it's impossible. But with God, it is possible. Let's define possible. Being within the limits of ability, capacity, or realization, a possible but difficult task, it may be hard. It may be a long time coming. It may not seem like it can. It may look like a difficult task. And sometimes it is the worst possible circumstance. Is this ring a bell with anybody yet? Have you ever had situations that look like this? A possible difficult task, the worst possible circumstance. Being what may be conceived, that word conceived means to think up, think of, come up with, or devise, hallelujah. My Bible tells me if you can think of it, it's possible. If you can think it up, if you can think of it, you can come up with it, or you can devise. If you can imagine, if you can envision, if you can picture in one's mind, if you can visualize it, it's possible. If you can drive a perception, it's possible. Oh, God, I'm not going to be long here tonight, so you better get with me. Mark 10, 27, Jesus said with man, it's impossible. But with God, in parenthesis, I got there. But with God, with you, it looks impossible. But with God, all things are impossible. Luke 1 and 37, it said for with God, nothing shall be impossible. I'm telling you something tonight. All my situation is hopeless. I'm telling you something. I'm compassionate about it. In this book that I read, I'm compassionate about it with a great cloud of witnesses. This one says it can't. This one says it can. This one says it can. This one said I've already seen it happen. I'm telling you something. I don't care what man's report is. I don't care what man's input is. I'm talking about a man with him, and all things are possible. I'm going to a visions, Ephesians 3 and verse 20. And I'm not far from closing right now. But I want to tell you something. Sometimes we let the devil beat us over the head. Sometimes we let him discourage us. Sometimes we let him pull us down. He gets into our mind. I said he gets into our mind. He's not going to physically come and block you. I don't feel like he's got the nerve to get in the face of a child of God. But I'll tell you what he does. The Bible said as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. And we begin to think. I'm telling you what he does. He begins to work on the thinking. What if it does it? What if it does what if it doesn't what if it does what if it does what if it does what if it did it's already happened with my God. There's a possibility that nothing can be restrained. Nothing can hold us down. Nothing can be impossible. [APPLAUSE] Oh, God, let me get this scripture before I start here. Ephesians 3 and verse 20, very familiar. I quote it all the time in the prayer room. I quote it in pre-service prayer. Sometimes it's a sherry. I just quote it to myself because I need it. You just a little uplift. Sometimes you got to encourage yourself. Well, I don't feel like I got any friends. Well, we got a witness for that, too. We got King David when everybody was against him. He was in air to the throne. He was anointed King, but he's going through life. And he's got a lot of trouble. I want to tell you something in this life. There's obstacles to the crown. Oh, we get up and we testify about it. We talk about the crown of life. We talk about being an overcomer. But sometimes when we just have to face reality, I'm telling you something. There's a lot of obstacles to the crown. There's a lot of hell between here and the glory world. But I want to tell you something. I can do all things through Christ. That strengthens me with him. Nothing is impossible. I'm getting ready to wind this thing up. Now unto him, that is able to do what exceedingly? Let's break it down unto him that is able to do exceedingly. That word means great. Very great. Exceptional, tremendous, extreme, supreme. That's what exceeding is. I'm telling you, we could stop right there and shout the rest of the night over just exceedingly. But it doesn't stop there with exceeding. He goes on because that's not the limits of my God, of him that is able to do exceeding. Not only is he exceeding, but he's abundantly, abundantly means plentiful, in quiet, in great quantity, in large quantity, everywhere, all over the place, exceedingly, abundantly. Above all, all means everyone, everybody, their totality in its entirety. Oh, Brother Bob, Carol, and John, you should say, all means all. There ain't no one when you say all, that means all of it. That means wholeheartedly. That means everything in its entirety. Above all, that we could ask, we, it's still again, the totality in its entirety. We, that's everyone, don't sit here tonight, I'll catch down, don't feel like tonight setting in this place that this is for somebody else, and you take your little spiritual pitchfork and fork it over your back to somebody else, that means we, that's the total congregation. That's everybody that could believe. Above all, exceedingly, abundantly, above all, that we could ask, that we could request, demand, appeal to, petition, call on, beg, urge, pray, plead with, seek, put in for, call for, to crave, that's what ask is included there. I'm telling you something tonight, we're nearly down to where there is no reason that God can't move in a desperate situation in our life. Above all, you can ask, or request, or demand, or appeal, or petition, or call on, above. You can ask, or thank, think, sometimes I'm a thinker, I like to think, I like to contemplate, I like to try to find solutions to things. If it don't work, I like to figure out why it don't work. If I can't figure out why it don't work, I'll get by the Zach Coddry, he can figure out why it don't work, but I got somebody I can go to, and in the spirit world tonight I got somebody when I can't figure it out on my own, and a lot of times we fight it with everything we got, but my Bible tells me when you've done all you can do to stand, you stand there for, stand there for, stand right where you're at, cause God's fixing to move, God's fixing to come on this scene. Think, think, believe, be under the impression, expect, imagine, anticipate, guess, conclude, determine, reason, whatever you can come up with tonight, it's above that, it's beyond that. Everybody say it's beyond me, but it's up to God. What you can think, according to the power, here's the snag, it's been fun up to now, been a lot of definitions, a lot of coverage up to this point, but according, let me just see if I still got this, what I had here tonight. The power that worketh went thinnest, but the Charlie Wickliffe used to say, some people don't have enough anointing, enough power to cast a mosquito off the end of your nose. I want to tell you something when it comes to getting my petition granted, exceedingly abundantly above measure, more than we could think, or more than we could ask, I want to tell you something, I want to finish and touch to this, I want that power that worketh in us. I'm telling you something the Bible said, he didn't, I didn't quote it, if you could say to that mountain, but I want to tell you something, you can't mamsie pamsie around and play with the world and love the world, I'm telling you something, you got to separate yourself, you got to fast, you got to pray, that's what my Bible told me, and that you had said, these things come by fasting and by prayer, that's what enhances the power that's working within you to fast, to pray, to separate yourself. The word works also translated as working, worketh is to be made to work, to accomplish active force and et cetera, or what are you talking about by the Samson, the Holy Spirit in us, is the power source given for us to be able to do miracles and good works, I want to tell you something tonight, you need the power, I'm telling you something, you need the attention of God, I'm telling you something, it don't matter what your problem is tonight, but Charlie would say, you know one thing, let me tell you one thing, nothing is impossible, but with my God, it's exceeding, it's abundantly as you stand your feet tonight, I'm telling you something above measure, what you could think, what could you ask, I'm telling you something, you know what gets the attention of God, it's worship, that gets the mind of God, it's purity, it's cleansing, in the soul, in the mind, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he, if you think you're down, you're down, but if you think I can do all things through Christ, I ain't face nothing yet, that's not impossible with my God, he's a healer, he's a financial advisor, he's a supplier of every need, according to his riches in glory, above and above and beyond, the power that works within us, put your hands together as they think, give God the praise. Nothing's too...
