So how much do you really want to know about what I do to keep my skin in top shape? I mean, really, do you really want to know everything that I'm sort of giving you a download of all the things here? You really did, Lisa. I mean, we've all seen you on Instagram and you are extraordinary. You're like, to me, the fashion model of skincare because you do look fabulous and you do a lot. But I, like many other women, we aren't going to do everything you do. But we still kind of want to know if you do. There are some women. I know that some of you are listening and are going to go, no, I want to know. I want to do everything you do. That's right. Don't keep it a secret. So I'm not keeping anything a secret. I am giving you all my personal protocols. So enjoy the list. Yeah. If there's actually something you want us to drill down on even further, yeah, let us know. Send us a voice memo or a DM on Instagram or whatever. Because we could do that go even further. But yeah, I really thought it all through. And what is it that I really do to keep my skin looking so good? I mean, I'm really pleased. I'm happy. I'm happy that at 63, this is what I got. So I'm happy to share. You did a great job. I mean, you gave us your morning routine, your evening routine, but so much more. All the things that you use, all the devices. My lifestyle habits. Your lifestyle habits, what you do with your dermatologist. I just want everyone to know I do have fun. I have fun. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not all. It's not work. It's not heavy. And honestly, I was not shot because I've been listening to you for 10 seasons. Right. So I have, I have drunk the Kool-Aid basically. And I have a watered down version of your Kool-Aid. It's not as rich and cherry red as yours. But you're reaping benefits, but I'm reaping very many benefits. And I'm very grateful. So I'm really glad you're doing this because I think people do see you on the street and, you know, if we really do meet fashion models, we ask them, how do you stay so thin and honest to godly say they don't eat? Wouldn't that be a literal lead to not eat and none. Who's willing to do that? Not me. I don't care that I'm not willing to do that one. So yeah, I'm not saying you don't eat, but your skincare routine is a little. It's rich. It's rich. It's all show. Be sure that you listening, do listen all the way through because Linda gives great street wear style tips at the end. That was really cool too. I love that a lot. All right. We got a good one. If it's Tuesday, it's another episode of living visibly over 50 where we challenge the notion that beauty fades with age. We've just given up on our style. I'm Lisa and I'm Linda. Lisa and I talk about positive aging with beauty and style wisdom that keeps us looking and feeling confident and relevant in our second app. Lisa, what are we talking about today? I love that question. I mean, and literally, OK, yes, we are recording now, but a moment before when we weren't recording, you did really ask me that question. I do. We what? Yeah, because it has nothing to do with me. So, you know, you did all the work. It was great out. You just like two days ago, I have a topic. So here's the thing. So just the other day, I was asked by a few women who were younger who are younger than me by probably a couple of decades. Your skin looks so good. How what do you do? And I get this question on a fairly regular basis. You know, when I'm out and about or just I randomly I get this question. And I'm always sort of stumped by how to answer and serve them. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm not sure how deep do you go? Right. And I like, like you said earlier, you really want to know how much do you really want to know? Right. What's your real question? I mean, I really want to be able to serve and offer help. Sure. Because I have help, but I don't really know what they want to know. I mean, I feel like we're all human, right? We want the simple thing. They want like, I use this product. Right. Take this pill. Grand or do this. Yes. Take this pill. Do this one thing. And in fact, I just saw a series of ads on Instagram, of course. And it was just this. It was about a woman who was in her sixties and she had great skin. And they and the interviewer said, so how did you get such great skin in your sixties? And she said, well, I do this one thing. And I'm like, Oh, gag me. I mean, and I just scrolled by only give me a break, if only. So I thought I would, or those of you who really do want to know, I would share what I do. And it seems like a lot on paper or, I don't know, maybe it doesn't. To me, it kind of looks like a lot when I wrote it all out. But I don't feel it's a lot when I okay in my day to day life, because I've built it up over time. Right. I have it. Because I have it. And all of this, you know, let's be said to things could change as new science comes out or, you know, I change things will change, you know, so maybe I'll do it again in a couple of years and share what I do with that. So that's what we're talking about. Does that I love it? I love it. You told me you had a topic that you were really passionate about. And I get it when women ask you a question. That's the perfect topic, because that means people are wondering about it. I felt very inspired by it, because I was trying to think back, how could I have helped them better? How could I have answered their question even better? Okay. So here's, I'm just going to kind of go through this. Okay. And, and again, I would say everyone should just take it like a grocery store aisle and take what you want. Yeah. Oh, kind of like our series for up leveling and stepping into more confidence. Um, if you don't want to do something, maybe keep a list, put it on your master list and, and maybe you might want to circle back to it. All right. All that said, the foundation of everything is consistency. And I've said this before. Consistency is key. It's like the foundation, the backbone of anything you do. For example, I cannot go to sleep unless I wash my face and do my job, I literally cannot go to sleep. But I have to, I have to get back up. So I just have to wash my face as I can't sleep. So treating your skin every single morning and night without fail. It's crucial. It's so basic. It's so boring, but it really is. It is the backbone of everything. Know that cleansing your skin every evening and gently in the morning might sound boring and basic, like I said, but you got to trust me. It makes all the difference. And for those of us who still aren't consistent and I know you all are out there. I'm looking at you. We're here to help you stay on track. Just, I don't know, re-listen to this or something. Just remind yourself, create an affirmation. I will take care of myself because I love myself every day. Well, and we brush our teeth. See, to me, I link it with that. That's a perfect link. Yeah, morning and evening, at least. But it's something that I I think when we're younger, we can get away without taking away with a lot more when we think it's sexy, you know, to go to bed and have the mascara down our cheekbones, you know, very sexy. On occasion, that's right. But even those habits when we're younger do build up, but but you're right. We can get away with much more, but not so much, you know, we just can't. OK, sleep and skincare. Go hand in hand speaking of sleep. Consistency sleep is a game changer for your skin. I am like a sleep. I don't want to say I can't say that anymore. People used to say to sleep, not see. I'm not going to say that. I just like sleep guru. I am a sleep guru. I use the I got myself the aura ring. OK. And it helps me to track my sleep. The quality of my sleep and it helps it's helped me to learn how to better improve my sleep habits, like what works and what doesn't work because getting good consistent sleep isn't just about feeling rested. Your skin is going to thank you. You're it shows up in your skin. Now these two things we just talked about are really basic, right? Everybody knows this yada yada, but it's still really important. There's reminding lay the foundation. Yeah, OK, using the right products, of course, I'm going to talk about product, right? But it's super important to use good skincare products. You don't have to stick with everything in the same brand or in the same line. I'm a realist here, but if you mix and match too much, it's hard to track. If you're overusing an active product because you don't, if you're pulling from all different brands, you don't know the ingredients that it's in everything. Unless you're really, really good at that, unless you're really good at, you know, your knowledge, your total ingredient geek, then maybe you would, but it's tricky. You could also be missing something crucial if you're mixing brands. So using a cohesive routine can really help fill in those gaps. So, of course, I'm the owner and the founder of Simple Beauty Minerals. And I use my brand, I'm not going to use anything else. That said, I do experiment and test and try because I want to know what's out there. And I want to know what my customers are talking about when they say I use X brand. So I try to have firsthand knowledge, but my main, everything I do is my brand, because I know I've covered all the gaps. Right. So I'm going to go through what I do. This is just kind of a quick ritual of what I'm currently doing in the morning. I use my three and one, I use like a on a, when I first wake up on a cotton pad, I use a little bit of three in one wash away and a little bit of crisp cucumber toner, kind of a blend. And that's how I wash my face in the morning, because I don't like to splash with water and fuss with water first thing in the morning. I don't, I don't know. I don't know what to tell you about that, but this is what I've come as. That's my solution. So I do a good swipe to cleanse my skin and to pH, VPH balance my, my skin from active products that I'd used the night before. Then I go directly to my Nira, which is the Nira laser, which is the laser that helps its near infrared light, which has been proven to build collagen and elastin in the skin. Then when that's done, I follow that with my vitamin C serum and my bright on brightening serum to both brighten, build collagen and mitigate future dark spots and pigmentation. Okay, then my serums are done and then I use my buttercream to moisturize. And then I use my sunscreen, my Tizos sunscreen. And then I add my mineral powder foundation because it's an extra layer of protection. Even if I'm not going anywhere, I always put my foundation on YouTube. I also spot treat my nose with clear skin serum because it's a salicylic based acid serum and I struggle with clogged pores on my nose, always have. At night, I do the double cleanse. So I remove my makeup with the perfect balance cleansing oil. Then I use the mineral gel cleanser to actually cleanse my skin. Then I mist with the revived facial mist. I use my resveratrol peptide serum for firming. I use my behave 1% retinal cream and the soothing ceramide cream. That's the cream I'm using right now in conjunction and the pure bliss eye cream that's at night. And then two times weekly, approximately, I'll do a radiance reveal treatment where I just gently exfoliate my skin. Yeah. Okay. So that's just the skincare. You have a question. I can tell by the look on your face. Well, you are going through your routine and I'm kind of tracking because I use all your products also, but I do different things. So does it matter when we use resveratrol or I use the butter cream at night because I think it's so rich. Yeah, I want it to soak into my skin and really super moisturize. Right. So I don't do it in the day. I do it at night for the most part. It doesn't matter. OK, however, certain things like, so the behave, the retinoid cream, you want to use that at night because I do like mitigates the the retinoids in there. So you want to, you don't want to waste that. Everything else. Resveratrol is that better at night at morning or night. That doesn't matter. OK, most of the other items don't matter. Well, it was one of the radiance reveal, the gentle exfoliant, Levon exfoliant. I like using that at night because then I wake up in the morning and it's worked. Yeah, it just glows. So yes, you don't have to use it at night. You can use it in the morning, but I just like waking up to that new fresh skin. OK, there's a lot of episodes. I'm not going to go into too much depth around that. We have several skincare episodes. We'll link one or two of them in the show notes. We have a lot of skincare episodes. So what you had your favorite, you said, was the optimal skin. Yes, the gold standard, the gold standard, because that was like a very basic step by step how to take care of your skin. So we also have if we should link that. OK, and then we also have you can look up on your own. The mature skin protocol. That's a good one too. Right, right. We have we have a few and we just came out. We just last week, our last episode that came out was dark spots was on dark spots. Is it worth it? I can't even remember what we titled it. OK, let's go on now. This one we talk about a lot too. But of course, we have to bring it up again. Do you know what I'm going to talk about, Linda? I do sunscreen. OK, sunscreen, you all knew it was coming. I mean, I wear my sunscreen every single day of the year, even in the winter, even indoors because UV rays come through the windows when I'm driving for sure. And I wear it not just on my face, but I put it on my ears, my my neck, my chest, my hands. If I'm wearing short sleeves during the warmer months, it goes on my arms. If I wear shorts, warmer months, it goes on my legs. That said, if you're craving some natural vitamin D, get outside early in the morning. Yeah, the early light is actually beneficial and not harmful to us. So just a little early morning exposure without sunscreen is is great. And it's also great to get that light in your eyes because you'll sleep better. But the rest of the time, SPF all day, every day. I also do use my Neera laser in the morning because I OK, my face is washed on clean skin and I'm out in the sunlight the early morning and I use my Neera outside. You had a question? Well, do you find that you get a tan wearing the sunscreen even? OK, so sunscreen is called sunscreen for a reason. It is not a sunblock. Remember when sunscreen used to be called sunblock? Yeah, I do. And the FDA said, no, it's not a block. It's a screen. Meaning there is still some sun that will get through. OK. Two to three percent. Yeah, yeah, because I find my skin because I live at seven thousand feet. Obviously, I'm getting a lot more raise intense. I do my skin darkens a little bit. It really does. I get to even if you're wearing sunscreen, it you will get some color. Yeah, especially being outside all the time. OK, so there's not a lot you could do with that. I mean, and you're wearing your sunscreen and you're wearing your foundation. The mineral foundations, you've got that extra layer protection. So you get a little color, you get a little vitamin D. Absolutely. We need that and supplement to that I am a firm believer. So I do use devices. I'm a big believer in the devices that what has come out in these past few years, the science of it, the proof of that it works proof of concept. I mean, they do make a big difference. Now they're the long game. You may not see instant results, but know that years down the road, it's going to have you're going to see a difference. So besides the skincare products, I swear my by my red light therapy devices. I used to I use the light stem handheld wand, which is the red light and I use my Neera, which I mentioned, the infrared light. Though I use my Neera typically in the morning and at night after I've cleansed my skin before I do all my other treatments, I will sit down while we're watching a show and I will do my light stem wand to get the benefits of red light. They again help build collagen and elastin and keep they really do had they have kept my skin looking more youthful and I'm just going on faith that it's going to continue that way in the future if I continue using them. And what I do see immediately is more of a glow and a better texture. I do see that nice and heck, I'm not going to turn that down. No, so I also do there's been some studies that have talked about bringing blood flow to the surface of the skin will also help to build collagen. So blood circulation is key. I use a tool called a face blaster. It Ashley black fascia blasting, if you wanted to look that up. And I also will sometimes use a gouache. What knows what the gouache are. That's a great simple tool to use to to stimulate circulation and to massage the fascia. And these are amazing for collagen production and I'll do that a couple times a week again, sitting on my clean skin and then I will sit and watch my shows and I will put a like calm down facial oil on my skin and then I will do the massages while I'm watching my shows. It's it's pleasant. That's nice. That's great. So those are the devices that I use. Um, I am a firm believer in supplements. I mentioned vitamin D. I'm not going to go through all my supplements. We do have an episode on supplementation and it do in that episode. It's Linda and I sharing what we take and why we take what we take. But it's just personal antidotes. We're not. Yeah, we're not doctors. Exactly. But it's we were just sharing what we take. So they're a big part of my skincare game. I do take collagen and then I take a variety of additional supplements. Um, and I'm always keeping my eye on the research and I make sure to get plenty of protein and here's diet, right? Um, I eat mostly plants. I make sure I get berries every day and I also make sure I get a daily dose of cruciferous veggies. So, you know, your kale, your cauliflower, your broccoli cabbage. Um, all of that, it's so, so let me just stop right now for a moment. Does it sound like a lot at this point? No, okay. Okay. Because we've been listening to you for 10 seasons. And if anyone, if anyone hasn't been started at the very beginning, Lisa has not varied her message. And guess what, Lisa, it's working for me. Okay. I don't do nearly what you do, but I have the same foundational habits. I feel like I'm, I live a very healthy lifestyle. Um, I do have fun once in a while, uh, a little alcohol creeps in, but not, not as often, but my foundational habits are very similar to yours. But I did not have the skincare protocols before I met you. I think I met you in my sixties. Yes. That makes sense. And I was at least 10 of my fifties. Yeah. And the protocols that you set me out on, um, they have served me because I compare my skin to other women's skin who live here in Santa Fe, which is sunny over 300 days a year. It's sunny here. Let's face it and we're at 7,000 feet. So you're getting big blast of sun and the women that don't take care of their skin, they have deep, deep lines, dull skin, um, you know, everything that you don't want, the dark spots on their face. I don't have any of that. Yeah. Yeah. Linda, because you've worked hard at it. I do. That's so important to hear for everyone because, and I've said this a lot, 85 to 90 percent of the external signs of age is aging is lifestyle. It's environmental, environmental impact. It really is. Our lifestyle choices. It really is because, I mean, the women, you know, they say 50 percent is your genetics, but you have a whole other 50 percent. It's more than 50 percent. Is it more? Okay. Genetics is less. Okay. So it's up like only 15 to maybe 20 percent is genetics. Oh, wow. Now we're saying 10, okay, then that's huge. We can make, we can change things. We can turn genes off and on by our lifestyle habits. Yes. And the reason why I care about this, it's not vanity. Oh, it is. I'm just calling it vanity for. Oh, you are. I'm just calling it. Okay. Well, but you go ahead. I feel healthier. Right. Like when I see that those deep lines, um, I get it. She's been out. She's probably a horseback rider or a hiker or a runner. And she lives her life outside. But guess what? So do I. Right. And, but I just don't have those deep, deep wrinkles at this point in my life. And I'm in my 70s. Right. So that's when I think you may not be showing up. You may not get them. I don't know. I mean, we just, this is sort of a new generation going forward like this. So like you always say, Lisa, we have new technologies all the time. I, I think we all need to take advantage of that because these are all proven technologies. The one I haven't adopted yet is the red light therapy, but I'm close. Hey, I need to do it about it. You know, it's actually very pleasant. I like my light stem because I will sit in front of my show and watch a movie or something with my husband next to me. And he's like, do it. He has done it. Yes, he has. He was on a roll. He was doing it for a while and he kind of fell out of it. But he's a, for he dug into all the studies and he was like, Lisa, this is, this is spot on. Um, and it's kind of warming, especially in the winter. Oh, just bear ever so slightly, just ever so slightly. And it's just, I kind of enjoy it. But OK, there's that. OK, well, speaking of being outside movement is essential. I make my exercise a priority. It happens every single day. Even if it's just a walk, I know you go on walks every day. I do daily movement. And I would say, especially walking and strength training. Yeah, not only helps your body, but works wonders for your skin, too. So that's really crucial. And here you were mentioning treating yourself with a glass of wine here and there. Yes. Treat yourself. Absolutely. I, I want to come back to that. I, I jumped ahead. I want, let me, let me circle back first. I want to talk about treating yourself in a different way. Hi, Linda here, you know, closets don't organize themselves. In fact, most closets are cluttered, overfilled and confusing. I want you to imagine a more refined closet where everything in it is something special that you love to wear and everything fits and flatters, your shape and getting dressed every day is effortless. If you're ready to refine your closet and your life, I do virtual closet consultations where we meet on zoom and we weed out the clothes you're never where we create new outfits and bam. You're ready to effortlessly rock your style. Email me at Linda@lindawalden.com and we'll get started and say goodbye to the closet clutter. If you have the resources, treat yourself to a facial. OK, once a month or every other month or quarterly. I don't care. What's the year? It can make a difference. And if not, create your own spa experience at home. Give yourself masks and deep cleansing, hydrating masks, lick and put on the music and take a bubble bath. Do this once a month, once heck, once a week, if you could. But, you know, once a month, treat yourself. That's also super important. OK, now getting to those healthy habits and treating and treating yourself with treats. I stay away from smoking, which includes secondhand smoke. Linda, what do you do when you're somewhere and someone else is smoking? I mean, it doesn't happen very often anymore. No, I really can't recall. Oh, sure. Oh, and then they would have the back of the plane was for smoke. Yes. And they're like, what? Hello, we're in a closed tube. Yeah, didn't work. I remember flying to Europe one year. It was right before they outlawed it. And I was one row in front of the smokers. Right. Doesn't make any sense. No, a long flight. Oh, my God, that was miserable. Oh, I was really, I don't recall that. I have not been around it now that I think about it. It doesn't happen very often anymore, if at all, but it used to. But guess what, Lisa, and get up and walk away. What? Yeah, but I breathe it in and I go, ah, it reminds me of my youth. Did you smoke as when you? I did, I did interesting. So to me, you, you never lose that. It's, it's a bad habit. And boy, if you ladies are still smoking, please don't do that anymore. But I was in my early twenties, but I still have that craving a little bit. I had the curse or the blessing. I'm not sure of my father and my uncle both smoked and they would drive me around with the window in a car, with the windows rolled up and they would be smoking. And I would be like re gagging. I think that just I'd was never going to smoke. No, you got enough smoke when you were little. I got enough secondhand smoke. That's me a lifetime. Um, I don't drink to excess, but I enjoy a glass of wine with dinner on occasion. I, I absolutely do. I don't, I don't need excess sugar. However, I do like my treats and you know, I like my treats. Give me a chocolate birthday cake and I'm in heaven, but it's, it's occasional, 80, 20, right? 80, 20 rule, the 20% is the sugar. Yeah, not the 80, just to clarify, um, refined foods. Same thing. I don't, I don't partake in refined foods. Um, I don't do tanning beds. Please don't do tanning beds. Um, and I stay, I don't get hardly any sun exposure. I mean, I'm outside every day for my walks. I live in California. So obviously we have sun, um, but I really protect myself when I do get out in the sun. It is a rare, rare occasion when you would see me basking in the sun. I just don't want to do it. Um, so these are non-negotiables for keeping my skin at its best. And it takes conscious effort. Like it, but it now it's all become habit. Like I was saying, anything to add to that, that I don't have any dark spots. Well, I did. Do you get them zapped? I don't have to, I don't need to get rid of, um, I don't have to zap them anymore. So I got rid of my zap spot, zap spots, rid of my zapped, my dark spots. Probably 15 years ago. Wow. And then went through like a series of them because once you, you can have the surface spots removed, but there are more spots coming up to the surface. Okay. And then you have to go back three or six months and have those zapped. And I've pretty much gotten them all. And I'm so good with my sun protection and my skincare. Yeah. And the red light that they don't, I don't really get them anymore. That's fantastic. So I, I get their light. They're very, very light, like they, nice. So, um, partnering with professionals, professional speaking of zapping your dark spots. I see a dermatologist fairly regularly. Um, she's my partner in well aging. And she helped me with the maintenance, you know, the dark spots and treatments. Like I do get a little Botox and we have episodes that I taught. What I think, what we named it was early on. Um, don't judge me, something like that, that I, where I confess all the things that I have done. But I don't do a lot of Botox anymore. And I think it's because of all the devices that I'm doing. I agree. I don't have to do it very much anymore. And much like I don't have to treat the dark spots very much anymore. Yeah. Um, I am thinking about having a texturizing laser. I've never done that. I've never done microneedling or I've never done any of the lasers for skin texturizing, but at 63, I, I might do it. And actually it's because of the, the scar that I have on my nose from my skin cancer episode. Um, my dermatologist said, we, there's a laser that there's a laser for that. That would help, um, even out the scar tissue. So I might be doing that. So it's really just about balance and doing what works for you. So I mean, we've sort of talked about the basics, the foundational of being consistent and sunscreen, the right lifestyle habits of sleep and diet and moving your body using the right products, all the things. It's very holistic. And you do talk about this in the dark spot episode that if you go and spend money with a professional, take part in non-invasive treatments, right? You must take care of your skin all the other days of the year. Right. Because otherwise you're throwing money away. You would just, yes. And I thought that was so insightful and so importantly. So we can't just depend. It's not like taking a pill and it'll all go to go away. No, what they have to, yeah, we have to each take responsibility, form these habits. And I'm here to tell you, ladies, I am not a skincare geek, but I have followed the basic protocols that Lisa sets forward. I don't spend a ton of money. It's very minimal investment, very doable with her products, especially. And it's all working to keep me. It's like a maintenance right, right, like in life. We just have to do a very basic foundation of maintenance in our lives. And this is part of it. Good. Yeah. I don't. I think I got everything. I was running through my list earlier saying, no, did I? Is this everything I do? Did I miss anything? But if I did, we'll come back around. That's for sure. Well, and I think your natural glow also is it comes from some of your, your makeup products, too. And that's great. I do. Thank you for bringing that up. Yeah, I will say that I think the mineral foundations really do add a beautiful glow when they last all day. Um, so I feel like that has a lot to do with it, too, because even the other day when, when these women asked me that I did have my mineral foundation on and I wanted to say, well, it does help compliment everything. You know, so for sure. Yeah. And you can't just do one thing. It's everything. Right. It's everything. You can't just scare me, really. It's not bad. Good. Good to know. And I want before we go, we need a style tip. Oh, yes. And he says out there. Oh, yes. Well, I was thinking because I was downtown the other day. Um, and our tourists, I must say, are very stylish. Really? Especially the women. I love people watching, um, in Santa Fe. And so what I thought I would talk about is, um, being a stylish woman over 50 walking down the street is something that I strive for every time I go downtown. I want to have stylish streetwear. And there's just something about wearing stylish streetwear to just put a smile on your face and those who pass you on the street. So I thought I would share three things that everyone can do to master street style with elegance and confidence. Love it. Okay. Here we go. Number one, to master street style, wear comfortable shoes that make a statement and keep you safe when you're walking on uneven sidewalks or cobblestone like we have here in Santa Fe. You know, we've all seen women walking down the street wearing stilettos on wonky sidewalks, you know, and I'm holding my breath. They do not look comfortable or happy. No, so confident. They do not look confident. No, what about the fall at any moment? You know, anyone you see on the streets, let's say New York City or San Francisco, they are wearing very stylish, sensible, comfortable shoes. So these are things like, you can still be stylish. Mary Jane's with rubber soles, very stylish and cute shoes, boots with a platform lug sole, you know, the lug with the treads on them. Those are going to offer you a lot of traction. Like the sidewalk. Yeah, like a dog bar. Yeah. OK, sporty sandals. So I'm thinking Tiva or, you know, any of those sporty sandals, sorrel, that's the brand I wear. And they all have really thick rubber soles. And that's really going to grab the sidewalk and give you that cushion when you're walking down the street, trendy sneakers. Thank God. That's what I would choose. Oh, really in style. So they're all going to look stylish and offer you comfort and safety. So that's number one with street style. We're comfortable shoes. Number two, layering is synonymous with street style. You know, when you're in a big city, you never know what the weather will be from hour to hour. You're going to get a little rain. You're going to get some wind or lots of sunshine. So be prepared. So, for example, you know, and we think of street style when we're tourists in a maybe a foreign country. Yes, thinking layers, right? Because you just never know what the weather is going to be because you're out all day. So think about a pair of casual jeans and a t-shirt where maybe a crisp blouse over it and follow that with a lightweight blazer or a trench coat. And that's that perfect layered streetwear style. Now, if you want to look a little dressier in your streetwear for your lunch date, wear a Chanel type blazer with your jeans and t-shirt. That's very popular now, very popular and some simple jewelry layers and comfortable shoes and your set. So think layering and then the third way you can master your street style is incorporate different textures in your outfit. So street style is all about texture and unique pairings because we want to get noticed. So maybe pair a leather crop jacket with a flowy pleated skirt and lug sold boots or wear an oversized cable knit sweater over a lightweight cotton dress and cowboy boots. Oh, I love these looks or get just, you know, get creative. So think hard and soft, light and heavy, tight weave, loose weave. You get the picture. Be surprising. Oh, I love the textures and the be surprising. That's awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So the key to street style is to look comfortable, fashionable, but not fussy. No evening gowns, no fancy dresses. Your clothes need to look well loved on trend, but not too trendy. And most of all, they reflect a certain attitude that you know, you look good and you own this street. Oh, I love this. All right. Oh, no, that's my style tip. All right, we got it. Thank you for being here and listening to the entire episode of living visibly over 50.
