Today we're going to be having a fun day. I've been watching just my ex feed and everybody talking about this. It's been wild. We covered on the show this whole controversy surrounding the Trump rally at Madison Square Garden in this joke about Puerto Rico and trash and now we're going in a whole different direction because Biden has apparently called Trump supporters garbage so we're going to be unpacking that today, unpacking the media, confronting this, having a conversation about it. In some cases trying to cover up so we have a lot to discuss now before we get into all that of course we have Taylor and Nashville. For a bit of background here for those of you who are unfamiliar Trump posted a rally at Madison Square Garden. At this rally he invited a comedian Tony Hinchcliffe who if you're familiar with him he has a very popular podcast titled Kill Tony. He did a whole comedy set, I think it was about 11 or 12 minutes at this Madison Square Garden rally. Now one joke in particular ended up going viral and it was a joke about Puerto Rico will roll the clip. It is absolutely wild times. It really, really is and you know there's a lot going on like I don't know if you guys know this but there's literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. Yeah. I think it's called Puerto Rico. Woo. Okay. All right. Okay. Now everybody you know sort of recoils at that joke some people laugh whatever this joke ends up going viral. Every single media outlet is saying oh my gosh listen to this horrendous joke at the Trump rally. They're referring to Puerto Rico as garbage. They're saying it's an island full of garbage. What are Puerto Rican voters going to do about this? All these Puerto Rican people start coming out and saying that they're offended or they're defending the joke and saying it's okay I'm not offended by it. All these artists who have you know Latin and Hispanic music are coming out and saying this is absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe Trump would have somebody like this at his rally and instead of maybe attributing this as just like maybe a poorly written joke or a joke that didn't land they attributed it straight to the Trump campaign and every single left-leaning person was running this joke over and over and over again. This could lose him the Hispanic vote or the Latin vote. Now Joe Biden was asked about this comment in a recent interview and this is what he had to say about the joke and about Puerto Rican people or Puerto Rico where I'm in my home state of Delaware they're good decent honorable people. The only garbage I see floating out there is just supporters. Oh no. His demonization of things is unconstitutional and it's on America. Let's hear it. Yeah we were talking. Now this is me getting many different interpretations. I'm going to tell you mine. This is the way that I heard it. He's saying in his home state of Delaware the Puerto Rican people that he's seen there you know growing up these are great people you know by no means are they garbage by no means do they come from a place that is covered in garbage. I think that's what he was initially trying to say and then he says the only garbage that I see are his supporters which to me insinuates that all the Trump supporters that you see in Delaware you are now referring to them as garbage. That's the way that I took this Taylor. How did you take his initial comment? Well my initial reaction was kind of tainted because I saw the quote first appear on X because it was just lighting up the internet when it came on the scene last night. But when I first like listened to it myself I wasn't hearing that he was referring to like Trump supporters in his home state of Delaware as much as just Trump supporters generally but nowhere in my consciousness did it enter that he was not saying that Trump supporters are garbage and so I think that's the main takeaway just on a very natural listen of this. It's what you're going to it's what you hear and Alaska you guys in a poll if that's what you heard as well. Yeah let me know what you guys think and of course this is deplorable is all over again. They have this thing where they call themselves the party of unity and say that they're so tolerant and they want to bring everybody together and that we live in such a divisive time and then on the end of those statements they call Trump supporters evil deplorable garbage Nazi white supremacist white nationalist horrible racist human beings who are also homophobic and sexist and awful. So I'm not really sure how they put together these two statements in one paragraph but somehow they manage they are apparently the party of unity that is going to end divisiveness and unify all of America underneath these two parties and this is the way that they refer to Trump supporters and interestingly enough in Tony Hinchcliffe's original joke he wasn't even referring to Puerto Rican people as garbage he was just saying the island of Puerto Rico has a bit of a garbage problem a trash problem and this has been widely reported in the media in fact it's a big problem that the island of Puerto Rico faces is how they handle trash waste their whole landfill system it's been an issue for quite some time that the media has reported on. So to take that joke then flip it and refer to Trump supporters as garbage is just a whole another level even when bees upset about it you can hear him barking in the background. Now the media has been covering this and of course asking Kamala Harris and Tim Walls how they feel about this trying to walk back some of the statements of what Biden said and really distance themselves from the statements now this is somebody asking Tim Walls how he feels about what Biden said. I want to put it into a larger context of your recent comment comparing the Sunday Trump rally to a Nazi rally and I would also throw in there Obama's bitter clingers guns and religion comment from a while back the deplorable line from Hillary Clinton's campaign and the way the Democrats are seen by some voters as disrespecting them and I have to ask does that undercut this closing message of unity from your campaign? No I'll certainly not. I want to put it into a large. No I'll certainly not. Certainly not. I know we're not saying anything that's unifying whatsoever and we are using really divisive language really horrific insults in comparisons to refer to not only the Trump campaign but the entirety of his supporters which is about 50% of the US population but no absolutely not it does not undercut our message of unity and we see this all the time and what happens is you know you can try to you know run cover for yourself promote yourself as a unifying and tolerant candidate but at the end of the day that's not really the way they feel about Trump supporters and people who disagree with them. So what's going to end up bubbling to the surface is the actual disdain that they have for people who disagree with them and that's what we're dealing with here now there of course more clips from the media of them discussing this we actually have the man who originally was interviewing Biden when he made this comment and this is what he had to say about Biden referring to Trump supporters as garbage. Governor first off just what's your response to that comment from from President Biden where it sounds like he's calling Trump supporters there. Sorry this is actually Josh up here we're going to get to the clip of the guy who was interviewing him in just a bit of garbage. You know I had not heard that until now Caitlin so I'm kind of giving you my fresh reaction to it. I would never insult the good people of Pennsylvania or any Americans even if they chose to support a candidate that I didn't support. I want you to it's so awkward now that you have to like deal with this all the time now this guy Josh Shapiro sorry for the the slip on on his name and everything he was up for a possible like running mate position when it came to the Kamala Harris campaign so it's interesting to now hear him say you know I would never have said that in regard in regards to people and the supporters of Donald Trump what a twist what a turn. Yeah the governor of Pennsylvania that was passed over no less but I guess this happened in real time this was very quickly after the actual comments were said. And so you're getting the raw reaction from both Caitlin of CNN and Josh Shapiro who both are affirming this face value interpretation of what Biden said which was that Trump supporters are garbage and he's like I would have never said that so he's kind of just being honest but also maybe also possibly a kind of throwing the Kamala campaign under the bus a little bit because he wasn't chosen as as VP perhaps but yeah not a good look and it's going to undercut the narrative that you're going to see the media spin here in a second. Yeah absolutely and of course this is getting so much coverage that even Joe Biden himself had to come forward we say Joe Biden but it's just whoever is on his team running his his Twitter account says here earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump supporters at Madison Square Garden rally as garbage where which is the only word I can think of to describe it his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable as he repeats exactly what he said in the interview that's all I meant to say the comments at that rally don't reflect who we are as a nation and you can see Ashley St. Clair's response right under that I won't read that out loud but yeah so now he's trying to say I'm just referring to the rhetoric that Trump is using which Trump didn't even use it was literally a joke by a comedian that had no claim whatsoever about Puerto Rican people and about who they are especially as Americans and as voters and as our fellow citizens it's just absolutely ridiculous but you all know what happens when you put Biden out there you just have no idea what he's going to say now this does seem to be quite a bit of a lucid moment from Joe Biden he gave that out in a very clear statement and I think we have a very clear interpretation of what he meant by that but my goodness we know you weren't talking about his rhetoric now I know you're trying to walk it back or whatever because we've seen the face under the mask and you're trying to cover things up but it didn't quite work so now you have to grapple with the fact that not only did you go after the Trump campaign for no reason it was a joke by a comedian but in doing so you kind of stepped in shit by saying what you really think which is way worse than the initial infraction if we can call it that of the comedian of Tony so now Kamala of course is being asked about this we heard Tim Wall's he said this in a way impacts our message of unity let's hear from Kamala you sympathize with any voters you do feel offended by or insulted by the garbage comments I am running for president of the United States I will be traveling to three states today to do what I have been doing throughout which is talking with the American people about the fact that first of all I get it in terms of the concerns they have about challenges like the price of groceries he sympathized with any that wasn't exactly an answer that wasn't exactly an answer now they do press her further on this we do have a clip of her actual thoughts about what Biden said let's see if we can get her to say she disagrees with Joe Biden because so far she said there's nothing she would really do differently over the past you know three and a half four years that we've had Biden as president let's see if we can finally have Kamala Harris say there's at least one thing she would do differently listen I think that first of all he clarified his comments but let me be clear I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for it's that you heard my speech last night and continuously throughout my career I believe that the work that I do is about representing all the people whether they support me or not and as president of the United States I will be a president for all Americans whether you vote for me or not that is my responsibility and that's the kind of work that I've done my entire career and I take a very serious I don't know if I believe you Ms. Harris I don't know if I believe you whatsoever I mean she is one that is pretty prone to using divisive language she on more than one occasion has referred to Donald Trump as a threat to democracy she's even stated that he wants to essentially roll back the entire US Constitution and take everybody's rights away she's said that to black people essentially she was on a shin and sharp interview which we'll get to in a moment and she said you know he doesn't he wouldn't invite you over to dinner he wouldn't sit with you and hang out with you you're not part of his little club she is a fan of divisive language now she might not come straight out and say I hate Trump supporters and I think they're stupid deplorable and garbage but she's saying it in every statement that she makes about Donald Trump in every single divisive on unifying statement that she makes about Donald Trump so I mean she has to say what she has to say at this point with how far these comments have run away from her and of course the comments have run from Biden's mouth to Trump's ears this is Marco Rubio telling Donald Trump about what Biden had to say and we will get Trump's response all right well I wasn't going to say anything but I have breaking news for you mr president you may not have heard this just moments ago Joe Biden stated that our supporters are garbage oh Trump's face our garbage he's talking about the border patrol he's talking about nurses he's talking about teachers he's talking about everyday Americans who love their country and want to dream big again and support you mr president and I hope their campaign is about to apologize for what Joe Biden just said we are not garbage we are patriots who love America and thank you for running president wow wow you're telling me this for the first time i'm hearing this for the first time this is the sound of your ride home with dad after he caught you vaping okay please forgive him please forgive him for he not know it what he said this is exactly what you should do if you are Donald Trump just feel like you know what you know Joe Biden he is who he is you know he says something sometimes he's not so sure what's going on all the time that's okay just forgive him you know they've done it this time and this time and this time and this time and every single time we've we've forgiven and let it slide so just forgive again the best thing you could do is to turn the other cheek because you are not the divisive one they are the divisive one so he handled that so perfectly he not to know with what he said and what a contrast to i mean the the Harris campaign is notoriously so scripted and Trump just shines in these moments where he's getting new information for the very first time and you're getting his raw organic response and he just comes up with these quick little one liners that are perfect for the moment and they they stem from his authenticity i'm reminded of the you'd be in jail of comment about Hillary or the only Rosie O'Donnell he's just he's there he's present he's he doesn't need to bring in a comedian to his rally because he essentially is the stand-up comedian so it's very interesting that what started with what was probably a misstep on the part of his campaign by re-bringing Tony Enchcliffe who makes this off-color joke that doesn't land well that creates this media firestorm and then Biden just turns around and gives it right back to him and Trump handles it in the best possible way it's beautiful to see he does and then he even brought back as i said before the guy who interviewed Biden originally to give a statement about his comments now this is what that guy had to say a strong supporter running from goin or in Puerto Rico acknowledging that this will definitely cost Donald Trump President Biden spoke about the former president tonight's front of play a quick clip of that reporter Rico where i've been my home state of Delaware they're good decent honorable people the only garbage i see folk down there is his supporters his his his team and his aisling team is on console and it's on american i'm wondering what do you mean the president's choice of words there oh well listen again those were strong words and i don't agree that that we should call trump supporters the trash either um that's not right i do appreciate the president supporting our community and supporting Puerto Rico but obviously you know calling his supporter trash it's not it's not something that it should have been said um going back to the Puerto Rico situation i mean going back to let's just go back to something else let's go over this yeah i don't know that i've ever heard this technically not a Biden gaff i mean he sounded like you knew exactly what he was saying but i've never seen them actually run run cover on it like this and like they have been doing recently this is really hit the mark now do i think this is going to change literally anybody's vote no i don't think this is actually going to do anything people are saying this could be a devastating hit to the Kamala Harris campaign that uh that Biden said this out loud i don't think it is going to be at all we already know that's how a lot of left-leaning people feel about trump supporters i mean it's been made abundantly clear it's just very interesting to hear it sort of come from the horse's mouth because we hear all this rhetoric out on the street out in normal life on social media this is you know honestly pretty tame when it comes to how trump supporters are often referred to in all of these different spaces but to hear it actually come out of Biden's mouth is just something very different and that's why the media is trying to sort of talk about it either distance themselves or completely cover up what was done now this uh was in political political covered the story this is what they wrote about what Biden said says a comedian who appeared ahead of trump at a Madison Square Garden in New York City on sunday called the American territory in the island of garbage. Biden in a zoom call with the organization Voto Latino said the only garbage was the hatred of trump supporters who said such things about American citizens i feel like that's a misquote political i feel like you've messed up there i feel like that is not an accurate interpretation of what Biden said now underneath that they put another quote from Biden our diversity is our strength said Biden who also blasted trump's proposal to deport migrants many of whom are Latino when Biden refers to diversity apparently all he means is diversity of of skin color and background he doesn't mean diversity of political thought because there's i guess the clean political party and there is the garbage one you have it now a direct quote that we can use in perpetuity to discuss how Joe Biden feels about the American rights here is another article this is from the New York Times they write Biden appears to insult trump supporters as garbage but quickly tries to clarify quickly tries to clarify that statement apparently it's just amazing how the media can have a clip that you've just watched you've just taken in with your eyes and your ears and they will just try to lie straight to your face or just omit what was actually taking place and what you actually heard absolutely crazy they think you're stupid they think that you're just going to roll over that that you're not going to be able to decipher what was actually being said and that they can just walk back things or completely cover them in a different light to make you think that you've heard something else it's not working we heard what we heard and interestingly enough the divisive candidate that is donald trump has not said anything like that about his opposition and their supporters because it wouldn't quite make sense to insult half of the us population when you are vying for the position of being a representative of that population they're not a unifying party we knew this already but it's just interesting to hear it out loud now and you've got sorry real quick you have Biden himself has said that trump would be a dictator on day one yeah Kamala compared him to said he's fascist and just did the whole press conference like a week and a half ago where she could directly compared him to hitler you had msnbc playing those clips of hitler rallies comparing trumps rally in new york city of medicine square garden to this nazi rally so and who else do we have oh Kamala has also said that he's a wannabe dictator and a petty tyrant so we have in evidence everything that they've said about trump when it comes to all this stuff yeah so it's just like okay we already knew it's just kind of we've already knew that he felt this way which is very interesting to hear by it and say so now like i i just don't understand how they're going to run as the unity party i mean they'll continue to push the same rhetoric they have their list of talking points that they use all the time and you can't say anything else other than we are going to be the unifying party because obviously that's how you want to come off in in the heat of an election now luckily they only have a few days left of this election cycle because i don't think they would last much longer if they keep giving microphones to these people to speak out loud it just seems like one thing after the other these people are putting their their foots in their mouth but somehow they're maintaining a grasp on the american electorate now speaking of of putting a foot in your mouth and saying something that is by no means true uh we're going to move on to some other news whoopi goldberg of the view made a statement about donald trump and uh said that apparently he's going to get rid of interracial marriages and if you happen to be an immigrant in an interracial relationship with a white man apparently he is going to break up your relationship and deport you and give the white man to somebody else let's hear it all of you talking about you it's us he's not going to be so he's not going to you know say oh you're with a white guy i'm going to keep you from being deported no he's going to port you and put the white guy with someone else the man is out there he's also kind of what is going on he's if you're with a white guy you're not safe in the united states of america he is going to separate you from your white partner and give them over to somebody else what's a crazy thing to say first of all i'm in an interracial relationship on the product of an interracial relationship funnily enough my boyfriend is the immigrant of our relationship i don't know if they're going to separate him uh and and deport him back well luckily he's an american citizen so they can't do that at this moment but what is he talking about also i have to point out the obvious flaw in logic that donald trump is a white man who is married to an immigrant i don't think he's going to break up his own marriage and uh and deport melania but i guess that's what she thinks is going to happen it's like they use this absolutely crazy insane language to refer to trump and his campaign and then they're like so shocked when they hear somebody refer to them as garbage or deplorables or say that they're gonna be nazi white nationalists it's like you can't you can't have both of these things at the same time if you're saying he's gonna roll over everybody's rights and break up their interracial remarriages and take back the constitution and and flip it over and be a dictator on day one yeah people are going to think that these individuals are garbage i just don't know what else to tell you and of course whoopi is delusional and i don't know how where she got all this delusion from i mean trump used to appear on the view and be welcomed with open arms they loved him they say donald we love you so much you know you just know so much of courses when donald trump was registered as a democrat so maybe just changing the registry has has changed everything for them but somehow they're able to get away with the things that they're saying about donald trump and it is truly impacting how people feel about him in today's news we have a niki jam who if you don't know who he is he's a very popular american musical artist i think he's columbian as well so he's got like a latin hispanic influence in his his music now following the remarks that were made about portarico in that comedian set at the madison square garden rally niki says the reason i endorsed trump was because i thought he was best for the economy in the u.s where a lot of latinos live never thought a month later a comedian would speak bad about my country portarico uh and portarico deserves respect so there you go there you go so now he's uh revoking his endorsement retracting his in endorsement of of donald trump now he hasn't come out indoors kamala on the other end of it but there you go all over a singular joke in a set in a comedy set that had jokes about all different types of people for all different types of reason and i can only imagine that the reason that so many people are so taken aback by this joke and they're so upset about it is that it must have been a little bit true there must have been something truthful about it if you are this triggered by 20 seconds in a set at a rally triggered enough that you retract your initial endorsement meaning that you think trump is going to be good for the american economy you think he's going to be good for uh latinos your people you think that he's going to have them going home with more money in their pocket and that is what led to your endorsement but the fact that a comedian who is not donald trump made a joke about portarico is enough for you to retract your endorsement that's crazy like never mind the good things you think he's going to do for the economy which is far more important than some comedians joke that is enough for you so it must have hit like a sore spot for for this individual now of course he is followed by millions upon millions of people he's a super popular artist i don't know if this is going to flip anybody's vote um i i hope people are not voting based off of how their favorite artist votes but uh that is you know more often than i'd like to admit the case for for many so now this is what we're we're dealing with on the other end of a joke which really when i first covered the the uh tony hinchcliffe thing at his rally i was like okay i don't know how much of a difference is actually going to make but apparently it it it can make a difference but if you're voting in the same way that your favorite artist votes maybe just don't maybe just don't vote what so ever uh in other news we have other celebrities coming out with their endorsements Arnold watson agar has come out today with his endorsement and it is not an endorsement of donald trump it is an endorsement of kamala harris now he gave a lengthy explanation as to why starting off by saying i don't really do endorsements i'm not shy about sharing my views but i hate politics and i don't trust most politicians i also understand that people want to hear from me because i am not just a celebrity i'm a former republican governor now he talks about how his time as governor taught him a lot about politics that he doesn't like either party but that he is an american before he is a republican and essentially calls out donald trump for rejecting the results of an election he says i want to tune out but i can't because rejecting the results of an election isn't is as unamerican as it gets to someone like me who talks to people all over the world and no and still knows america is the shining city on a hill calling america is a trash can sorry calling america is a trash can for the world is so unpatriotic it makes me furious i will always be an american before i am a republican that's why this week i am voting for kamala harris and tim walls i'm sharing it with all of you because i think there are a lot of you who feel like i do you don't recognize our country and you are right to be furious so there we go that's his endorsement of of kamala harris and tim walls again i don't know who really cares about what Arnold watson eager has to say he has a past uh littered with controversial statements controversial choices and i mean maybe the reason he doesn't trust most politicians is because he's been there he's been one and he knows his own actions uh in what he's done in his time and you know he's come out in endorsed kamala we see these like switch-ups every now and then everybody goes up in arms oh liz janey the sarnell swanson eager that i mean whatever it's kind of part of the course every election cycle we get people who do this and trump is seen as a very divisive candidate and they've run the whole january six thing and the erect and the election fraud thing so i'm not shocked at all by Arnold and what sticks out to me there is Arnold is saying i can't vote for someone who calls america a trashcan for the world clearly if trump called america that it's because politicians were treating america like the world's trash can namely the politician who swanson eager is deciding to endorse kamala harris who under his leadership 10 million migrants what were allowed into the country with virtually no vetting including 14 000 murders and 16 000 rapists so i would say that she treated america like the trash can for the world so to specifically endorse her because of that phrasing of trump who was basically calling attention to truth about that policy is a wild thing to hone in on when considering whom to endorse it just goes to show like this is so much this this whole campaign this whole cycle is so much about rhetoric it's so much about fear mongering it's so much about orange man bad he's the nazi i just listened to clips from uh sam harris's debate against ben shapiro uh about about harris versus trump and of course it's just a lot of trump derangements and drum type stuff and it's wild to see that working for so many otherwise reasonable competent intelligent people like sam harris is obviously an intelligent guy uh swanson eager i think is an intelligent guy he's really interesting really accomplished but man just the the flippancy like this uh latina star that you mentioned a minute ago the flippancy with which people are just saying i've got a vote for comala because orange man bad is uh absolutely wild to me when the actual consequential facts are on the opposite side of the equation yeah and then he's like okay oh the the election denying the election denying is such a big thing for me this is a huge problem or whatever we already spoke about this on this show the democrats are the original electionars you can literally look up clips about uh the election with with hillary and and trump and you can see comala harris herself questioning the validity of the election so i'm just not sure what he's going off of if he says that's as unamerican as it gets then you need to take a look at the very candidate that you've chosen to endorse in this lengthy statement that you've made but you know it's just what happens this time of year i'm so over this and you know it's not going to be over by november 5th like we're all just going to be waiting around for more results and there's going to be controversy about whether or not there's fraud and what's going on and we're already watching all this strange stuff that's happening all over the place and no matter who wins i think this election there's going to be so much back and forth on the other end of this that we're never going to be able to just call it a day you see that abc chiron uh they're recovered they're like airing a formula formula one race or something and at the bottom they showed that harris one pennsylvania by five percent over trump and then they were like oh sorry that was just a test super sus so we're already getting started with this stuff we know the vote totals aren't going to be coming in on election height in multiple swing states and how do we not fix that by now i don't know but yeah really looking forward to all the drama that's coming in the coming days yeah and here's a photo of what taylor was just referring to yes this is during the the formula one night they are making these graphics to test out to see what the layout on screen is going to look like i don't know how uh intricate they get with those creations uh but yeah they did they did air most likely they're not going to do it but here is her on shannon sharp so i you know part of what we have to help people understand is don't think you're in donald trump's club you're not right he's not going to be thinking about you you think he's having you over for dinner so do you hear the black sent do you hear the it's back again one more time i you know part of what we have to help people to judge them off of it's a pretty diverse bunch of people so i would say if you're most likely to have a dinner with either of these candidates it actually is donald trump now i don't know what she's referring to when she says you're not you ain't gonna be part of the club what club what are you talking about we're in a presidential race if anything she's state the most separated from the american people she's the least likely candidate that you will ever you know rub shoulders with or have a normal time with she's always doing a pr stunt she's never being herself she's always putting on an accent for the different crowds that she's talking to donald trump at the very least is consistently his self is consistently talking to the american people we've all seen the clips of him out playing golf and you know people roll up on him and they say hey mr president you know well how's it going on the campaign and they're they're secretly filming him and you see him talking to the american people just a regular ass dude the other day uh he came across a tick-tock and i believe it was a young kid who is in the hospital with cancer right now and the kid was saying it's a dream of his to have dinner at the white house and donald trump responded to his tick-tock and was like hey get better as soon as you can and as soon as you're better you're gonna be able to you know have dinner with me at the white house and i cordially invite you to to do that whenever you're in the shape to do so have you ever seen common carrots do anything like that even if it's pr even if it's just to to win the race in and put on a good face she can't even fathom doing something like that for the american people she claims she worked even donalds what in the eighties we don't have any evidence of that even mcdonalds comes out and says we have no record of that donald trump shows up in his suit and tie puts on mcdonald's uniform and doesn't and of course it's pr or whatever but he is uniquely i think tapped in to what's the average american is going through uh what their lifestyle looks like he knows how to speak to them and that's been the major you know driving force of his campaign is the simplicity with which he addresses the american people and with just how much he is himself in it in a very authentic way now can you say the same at all for kamala harris whether or not you like either of these candidates you cannot say the same for kamala harris i don't know what she's talking about is like you're not in the club and he's not going to invite you over for dinner essentially what she's trying to say is that he is a racist elite and she's trying to tell black people through the shannon sharp interview that he might vie for your vote and say that he's going to do something for black america but you're never going to sit at the same table as a white man just just ridiculous i mean off the top of my head i can think of many black people who have uh actually literally sat down for dinner with donald trump i mean we just saw uh amber rose at edmar alago having dinner with donald trump and she is literally a former video vixen who was hosting slut walks and has face tattoos and she's rolling up tomorrow logo and having dinner with donald trump and also happens to be partially black so what is she meaning by by this she's just trying to otherwise people by claiming that donald trump is the other riser and it's not working but she has the same talking point she lands on all the time in fact this is another click from the shannon sharp interview where she uses the same phrase twice within literal moments of one another being able to see what is possible and not be burdened by other people's limited ability to see the same you cannot ever be burdened by other people's limited ability to understand who you are like don't let their limited ability burden you right about your own ability being able to see she loves the she loves the word burden and unverted she really does she she loves that word and i just know that they've got her in a room somewhere with press uh and pr training where they're just grilling her grilling her grilling her grilling her grilling her and that's very effective if you have like a one-time moment where you have to come out and really shine and shine in the face of donald trump and the media and the american people it's not so effective when you've grilled them to the point where they cannot divert from from what you've told them to say and that seems to be her problem consistently throughout this campaign and when she goes off script she says things like he's not gonna bite you over for dinner you ain't gonna be a part of his club and then she's like calm will shut your shut your mouth get go back to the script we gave you the script i know that you wrote the script on your hand before you went on the interview just go back to it because honestly the constant repeating of fed lines is better than her being able to give original thoughts because the original thoughts always land her into place where she does not want to be consistently i see some of y'all referring to the comment section here as well on that podcast which i'll read a couple in a second but someone tweeted out within four hours of the interview dropping with janin sharp uh it had 27 000 dislikes compared to 18 000 likes so immediately got ratio so that was interesting uh some of the top comments though are grocery prices need to be unburdened by what has been uh there was also uh the the children of the community there is a quote from kamala and 32 minutes in the children of the community are the children of the community and then this person says she's dropping her greatest hits today someone said tells me all about how she's christian she grew up into and was celebrating quanza so people are having a field day in the comments of this thing and apparently it was ratio to hell as well just thought i'd throw that in there i think she like really believes that every time she does an interview she is talking to like a unique audience that has never heard her before like she'll go to a latin audience and and speak to them in her little latin accent and she thinks that there's going to be no crossover from people who heard her do the black sent at her detroit ratley or the ones who heard her do the jamaican slash irish accent on on steven colbert she doesn't know that like these these moments exist outside of the very moment that you say them and people are going to fact check you on this and they're going to say hey there was an inconsistency from last week to today now i've one more clip from shannon sharp where again we get some wicked accusations against salam chump in the trump campaign we heard from whoopi goldberg who says apparently she he's going to break up your interracial marriages and deport your wives and then pair pair of the white men back with i don't know other white women presumably now kamala heris is saying that uh trump is going to take away your second amendment rights among others blacks for trump they feel that trump is better for the black community can you explain that donald trump's history with blacks where did this come that all the i mean it's it's been like this because a lot of people used to say uh i'm i'm donald trump with a ghetto because he would i mean for a lot of blacks not all but for some black people whether we want to admit it or not he's revered by some blacks but here's the thing the question for everybody should he be president of the united states okay right that's the question should he have the ability to to sit behind the seal of the president united states when he says he wants to terminate the constitution of the united states you know what that would mean in the constitution united states is your fourth amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure your fifth amendment right your sixth amendment right to an attorney well a lot of rights going to be gone the first amendment but but the first amendment the second amendment look i'm in favor of the second amendment i don't believe we should be taking anybody's guns away what are you talking about at what point will donald trump even if he wanted to have the capability to terminate the u.s constitution at what point he has either stated he wants to terminate the constitution in fact we have statements of kamala heris saying that she doesn't care that what she's doing is unconstitutional and specifically in reference to the second amendment himself itself we've spoke about her being on the presidential you know democratic nominee debate stage talking to joe biden and she had to grapple with the fact that she said through executive action she wants to be able to take away americans guns so at the end you just heard her say i'm not trying to take away anybody's guns i support the second amendment although we've heard her talk about assault weapons ban on that stage she said she wanted to take away people's guns through executive action uh joe biden at the time said kamala that's unconstitutional you're not going to be able to do that that actually flies in the face of our constitution and she looked at joe biden and said joe why can't you just say yes we can so what is she referring to in terms of the first amendment she is the one who's going after hate speech and misinformation she and tim wals have made that abundantly clear throughout the this entire process of of their campaign she wants to take away your first amendment right so it's so crazy to then levy that accusation against donald trump i just don't know what's going on here and i think this is her veering off script and i honestly part of me thinks that she did this not because she really wanted to give this accusation about donald trump but because she kind of wanted to prove that she knows what the different amendments are she like goes through each amendment and then just like says exactly what it is which is the same thing that you learned in like third grade civics class okay i think she just wanted to prove like i family of six going out seven living in a one bedroom apartment as the kids grow older that means we constantly have to adapt our environment to give them more means for privacy and extra space but outside our environment appears cluttered disorganized what have you but quite frankly i have to make you do for nearly three years now i have nothing but a grateful spirit for the roof over our head and only the instant judgment me and my husband receive well i have so many kids if you don't have enough space for them my perception is judgment comes from a place of not having the experience when you've experienced enough you generally don't judge people i can tell you after everything i've been through in the past three years i was very little i have to judge people i'd be lying if i said there wasn't a point in my life that i was so naive and i'm not a judge or a person based off their appearance and like i said i have learned a lot i generally look like i'm roughing it but that's this one-bedroom apartment not only that okay because she sounds all like lovely and nice and says oh don't judge our situation because you don't understand our situation or whatever she has a one-bedroom apartment her and her husband are sleeping in the master bedroom of this one bedroom apartment with a bed and everything while her kids right now the five or the four kids she has plus the one on the way they're sleeping on mattresses on the floor in the main entrance to this apartment this is not acceptable and you should engage in some form of contraception instead of bringing new children into this situation not only that her husband has a ps5 and a big flat screen in his in his bedroom and you know i don't even have to tell you who the husband is what you you know you know what this guy is like based on the situation and that they're in unacceptable and then to be farming out your children on tiktok which is what she does she films these these kids on on tiktok and films her her day in the life to generate views and and and to bring in money this is this is abuse that is my that is my hot take and you should be barred from having further children because you do not have the resources and the space for those children imagine these kids growing up and going through puberty right there in in their living room living next to to one another and these are boys and pretty old but it's a pretty authoritative book by a scholar out of new york university who is a medievalist and it's just uh the history of the middle ages starting from the the fall of the roman empire into the the late or the high middle ages i should say um and i'd never actually read that it's like a 600 page book so i'm i'm struggling along and i'm also reading a book called timeline by michael kriton at my wife's recommendation which is set in the medieval period and michael kriton is the guy who wrote Jurassic park he wrote the book that inspired the thirteenth warrior which is one of my favorite movies i think super underrated so my wife's got me on this reading kickman i've been reading a bunch lately she's a bookworm you can check out her book recommendations on instagram really see the man behind the curtain yeah you should know that that's not something that will probably ever happen given the current state of things and what's who's really pulling strings behind the also this time next week will be nutty um i mean yeah it's just like there's part of me that's like how much does the president have control over like anything really outside of like executive action and how they appear as as a figurehead of course there are going to be things within your control and in things outside of it we've seen executive actions on behalf of both of these administrations the trump and the Biden administration that have dramatically impacted the economy and then the way we respond to issues and crises goes on to impact our economy the covid pandemic is a is a great example of that and a lot of that rest than the hands of our presidents but you know uh in a multitude of other people as well so it's like a give and take you know yeah well we allow that has a big impact there's the administration and then there's congress and the budgets and things that are passed and that's all kind of intertwined and there's also global economic conditions and things like the pandemic that so it's a very complicated thing and when you talk about economics through the lens of politics and especially through the lens of elections you're not really likely to get a clear picture of things i think it's you're much better off taking a step back starting from the big picture of like read people like Milton Friedman or Thomas Sowell basic economics get a grasp of how basic economics works but how incentives work um i ran even with like people acting their rational self-interest things like that and that will give you a much better lens through which to interpret things because if you're just going on the whims of well the economy was good during my administration not good in theirs it's like it's it's much deeper and more complicated than that unfortunately but yeah also we need to be informed to make better choices and yeah it's it's easy to like say blame these people or promise right you know nice things that sound good but can ultimately be we're not like that dummy at all unfortunately even though i'm a veteran i can't vote for the president uh i would love to vote for president trump hey love to hear it yeah i just don't know like i i go back and forth i'm like okay maybe the comedian maybe tony should not have been at the rally just because it's a net net zero for the impact on positive or or negative on the trump campaign but also i don't see anything inherently wrong with the joke and i think what's really um catapulted this and catalyzed the the reaction to this further than it should have been is our ability to clip something out of context and i think even if you had like sandwiched 20 more seconds on to either end of the joke so that you could hear other things that he goes on to say it would not have nearly as much of the dramatic effect that it's had so far but when taking it out of context it's just like an off comment that he made about Puerto Rico it's like an insane thing to hear especially if you don't know the guy and all you're seeing is like a white man at this huge rally with trump vance in front of him taking that out of context really dramatizes the entire thing and makes it way worse than it would have ever been uh being there in person or seeing it in its entirety so it's just very unfortunate what the media is capable of doing with very simple like simply cutting out a clip uh way i did see um exactly by the guy i referenced earlier referred to them as the avengers which i will say can i say this now i think i can actually share this story now that he's come out probably as his rallies are crazy yeah you can just tell there's just like a feeling that you have like you can go state-to-state like even in the state of california there are these like huge like trump diners or like trump shops where you can go and get like all this trump paraphernalia and the flags and the hats and the garbage cans they're probably gonna be making soon because of this joe biden comment or whatever like do you ever see somebody who's that dedicated to Kamala Harris you ever seen a Kamala Harris store no like and even in this very very blue state i mean presumably you see all the clips and stuff like that because sometimes you'll like see a clip or and you'll hear and you're like oh well that's like a crazy clip but then you have to track down where it was originally said the context in which it was originally said like there's so much framing that happens depending on like the source of where you find something and like sometimes you'll hear a story and you'll take like that's insane we have to cover it and then you go like two articles down from it and you you see it covered in like a totally different light and it forces you to think about like your perspective and how you viewed something and just like you have to figure out how susceptible your brain is to certain narratives and how easily you can believe something before you like figure out what's actually happening so there's a lot of like okay let's cover this in its totality and try to figure everything out and trying to to navigate that and making sure you you do that right yeah it's being factual in good faith and like the rigor that that takes especially when you have to filter all information for yourself these days because there's not really reliable media that does it for you but i would say just constantly having to be looking at the news and what's happening and be on top of you know viral content and just what's what's going on out there uh i think it just kind of there's many moments where i'd just rather read a book or you know touch grass uh but i'm also but kind of because there's there's purpose in it and you know there's there's a payoff in knowing that we're you know doing a good service for people trying to give good commentary and trying to filter through it for you all and you know the feedback that we give from you all really makes it all worth it so it you know it's but it is like a little tiresome sometimes it's like oh my gosh here we go again let's see what the outrage is today on twitter you have to like sift through everything like we're really not supposed to for all of us like for all of you even watching right now what who are obviously on social media and engaging with social media we are not supposed to hear this many people's opinions and get this many stories at one time and if you think about how these things like physically manifest in you every single thing that you take in like the eyes or the window to the soul in one way it's posting pictures of herself and she's like you know i was in a very miserable abusive marriage and then you like move the slide over to the next picture and she's like and then i left my husband and started hosting exchange students at my house and like my life blossomed and i got to meet all these new people or whatever and you're going through the slides you get to like slide 10 and she's like and then i started taking these supplements NAD supplements and you realize this this emotional story that you're reading is an ad for fucking supplements and it's just like so and then you realize that not only did you just go through an emotional rollercoaster of perceiving something and thinking that it's an authentic story and sort of feeling and sympathy for the person you're reading about only to find out that it supplements on the other end of it you have to realize that the 800 000 people who have liked this tiktok do not realize that they were just taken on an emotional rollercoaster to be sold a supplement and they actually believe the thing that they've just read and they've taken that on in the comments are all like this is such a wonderful story i've experienced abuse myself and i i i've lived vicariously through your story i'm stuck in this abusive relationship and you're like holy shit this is not real people are falling for it it's just like it will ruin your brain it will black pill you so hard to experience yeah you know that the opportunity to gain fame or money through you know attention just brings out the worst in humanity and people will exploit it reminds me of like you know we watch that macy's manager who supposedly said something racist to an employee an elevator and finder on the spot and then come to find out that it was
