Rozhovor Lucie Müllerové. Pro řadu lidí je symbolem sametové revoluce, i když ona sama se tak nevnímá. Nepokládá se ani za žádnou velkou bojovnici proti komunistickému režimu. Marta Kubišová se považuje za zpěvačku, velkou milovnici zvířat a milující mámu. Přesto jsme si povídaly nejen o němých tvářích, ale i o tom, jak je jí v důchodu, jak to měla a má s muži a jak hodnotí svůj život.

Její píseň Modlitba pro Martu se stala jakousi hymnou sametové revoluce. Oslavuje svobodu a její text ani po více než 50 letech od svého vzniku nezestárl. Ačkoli je pro většinu lidí Marta Kubišová především odvážná žena, která se dokázala postavit režimu a kvůli tomu musela na dvacet let přerušit pěveckou kariéru, ona to vidí jinak. Jak jsem z povídání s ní pochopila, sama sebe jako hrdinku nevnímá, ani jako bojovnici, život bere takový, jaký je. A žádnou „zlobu, závist ani zášť“ necítí a prý ani nikdy necítila.
