The fun weekend that's coming up in college football. For now though, we go to our text line that's brought to you by starter Heyman Jewelers. It's 402-464-5685. 3515 asks, "Is Nebraska really the team with something to prove? Which team is the one trying to make a statement in Nebraska or Indiana?" I don't think this isn't either or I think this is a both and. I think there are different statements available to be made for both programs. I think for Nebraska, the statement that can be made with a win is yeah, we're for real. Yeah, we lost Illinois, but we learned from it. We got better. We took our show on the road to a ranked team. Our style of play is translatable, is portable, and we're here. You know, we're honestly, we're back, right? Heaven's no, not back. But yeah, things are changing. That's the statement that Nebraska can make. On the flip side of that, if you're Indiana, the statement that you're going to make is, we're here. Hello, pay attention to us. Up to number 16 in the polls, and right, just like in college basketball, it's not necessarily, you know, the top 68 teams they get in, it's not going to be just teams one through 12 that get into the college football playoff. But if you're Indiana and you beat Nebraska, that's a team that's just one game below you in the conference standings. They are coming off a buy. You're coming off a buy. You beat Nebraska. It's Hey, this is the the stiffest test on Indiana's schedule to this point. They passed the test. They found a way to win it. Indiana probably jumps up into the top 13, but they have jumped up three spots with the win. Maybe just a couple spots. But regardless, it's the next step in the right direction for a program that has had quite a few missteps over the last few years. So the statement from Indiana is we're here. Hello, legit playoff contender over here, because right now the three big 10 playoff teams, Ohio State, Oregon, and Penn State. Okay. Penn State can still play its way out of the rankings. I want to believe that the nitney line. Your child's first step is a big step towards their future. With first step by college invest, every Colorado child born or adopted on or after January 1st, 2020 will receive a free $115 contribution to their college invest college savings account. Visit Colorado first step.org to get started and claim your $115 now. We'll take advantage of the 12 team playoff, sneak their way in somehow, but it's Penn State. You just don't know until they actually do it. Oregon beats Ohio State, but only by one point it was at home. Ohio State, the only team in that group with a loss. But if you're Indiana and stricken, I talked a little bit about, you know, who's the fourth SEC team that's on the outside looking in right now? Indiana is trying to make a case to be that fourth big 10 team. Do I think Indiana is in and has a legit shot of the playoff? I do not. But guess what? They get Ohio State and Michigan yet on the schedule. So if they beat Nebraska, they stay on pace. Ohio State, Michigan still on the schedule. Maybe crazier things have happened, but Indiana in the first 12 team playoff right there in front of him. And that's not the message from signeti to his guys. It's game at a time. It's process. It's focused on us. Absolutely. But a win over Nebraska would still be a statement for the Hoosiers to make. But again, we're focused on Nebraska since that's where we're at. Nebraska won't make a statement with an exclamation point on the end of it with a win over Indiana because to the neutral observer, yeah, Indiana might have the number by its name, but come on, it's still Indiana. If Nebraska wins, though, think about the different conversations that we are having on Monday. Nebraska went on the road and beat a ranked team first time since 2011, if Nebraska finds a way to pull it off. That's a long time ago. A long time ago. No, for coaching staffs. Okay. Well, the fourth coaching staff in that time is both Pauline. You have three coaches since then. So Nebraska still does have a lot to prove as does Indiana, which is why it's not either Nebraska or Indiana has something to prove. Both programs are trying to prove something similar, but maybe maybe phrase slightly different by by both head coaches. Old dad 34. That's a good question. Do you think Indiana is worthy of its ranking? How about this? Let's go to break. Let's bring in Chancellor Brewington for hour two of old school.
