the blame is painful. People say, I told you so. That's painful. I have to go through this in order to be prepared for the next time. Anytime, if you want to go higher, you're going to have to face your giant. You're going to have to face your demons. You're going to have to face your obstacles. You're going to have to face your biggest fears. You're going to live with the decision you made. That's why I was so unsure. Yeah, you've got to live with it. What you're doing is you miss the opportunity to find a way. Now, even if you don't have a experience, but you get the knowledge, true, man, you're still dangerous. Because now you've got the knowledge to do what now you know what to do. Now you're just waiting for the opportunity to do it. Let's chill. Hello, Ola Bonjour. Sunny Bonane. Namaste. What up, chapter? Yes, it's your boy, Coach LJ. I'm with my awesomeness, my best friend, my business partner. My better half. Yes, my better half. The one and only lady sees us here in the building. Yes, yes. So, are you ready for another transformative and pounding episode of chilling with the chaplainists? You know where we are. Elevate the lives and power and businesses, United coaches, and yes, yes, yes, yes, and funerals that says not just our Africa, but Africa and the world. So, we bridging the gap from American to the rest of the world and the rest of the world to America. You know, we, you know, because we, in America, we had the disadvantages because we may learn war history. So, you know, American get the opportunity to learn war history from our channel. So, you know, and we talk about everything from business to empowerment to self-improvement, you know, because my wife is a health perspective with a leadership background and I'm a business marketing and management background and about to be on my way to be a peace team. We're about to have a doctor in the office. Yes, doctor in the house. My next five years, right? Five, four, five. Yeah, five years. I'm trying to get it done as soon as possible. I'm sure. I know the class has been done like in four years. Four years. And, and, please. There's no chance. So, please don't be going around claiming that you're doctors. Yeah, exactly. You ain't going to be in the no dissertation. You know, do no work. You know, come on, in, no papers. If you listen to the assignments, assignments are for high schoolers. Yes. Because even even masters level, you do papers. Yes, you do. Yes, you do that thesis. Yes, you do the thesis. So, don't tell me. Oh, I don't, I got a thesis. No, you're not a doctor. Yeah, Ernie. Yeah. No. Ask, ask, ask Dr. Vernon Hill tell you because he doesn't like these people claiming for PhD. Yeah, yeah. No, yeah, Ernie. We have to go and, and, you got, you got, you must go and defend. Defend. Yes, you got to defend that to the teacher. Yes. And there's a lot of work, you with the research. Yes. A lot of work. So, yeah. So, that's our session. So, today we are diving deep into, this is actually one of my favorites, breaking barriers, shifting mindset to overcome excuses and procrastination. And we both can speak on that because, you know, I think we all forecast today, but you know, we, we definitely, I know one. I say I'm a recovery procrastination. You actually, I'm master of procrastination. Yes. Yes. You need the pack. Yes, I need the pack. Yes. So, the question is, we basically speak from experience. Yeah. Yeah. We definitely speak from experience. So, the question is, have you ever wondered why, despite knowing what you need to do, you still find yourself trapped in a cycle of excuses and delay? I'm asking you that question before the chill is answered. Yes. Yes. Why? Why? Why don't you just do things? And when you know that you have to do them and they important, then you wait for last minute. I'm wondering though, no. But what causes that? Do you know what causes it? Yes. I always say this. And do we even want to be procrastinating? Everyone procrastinating. A lot of it is not in the top of it. Yeah. My priority is something that I really want to do. I'll wait till the last minute. So, this is why, you know, when, when the stop procrastinating, one of the, one of the things that you can implement right away, if you can, is delegation. You know, and I like this because- But what if it's something that you must do? If it's like the Texas, I'm a tax preparer, but he has to work with me to work on our taxes. Yes. He's procrastinating. I am, I am, I am procrastinating. Yes. Yes. But, but here's the thing too. So now this, this is, this is a book, right? But this, this is a thing called Eisenhower Matrix. So it's for, it's for, on quantum's, right? Full quantum's. And one of the problems is non-important, urgent, um, delegate. So, all the different things, you gotta, you gotta put in the things, you know, knowing what, what to do now, what to do later, what you need to dedicate, whatever. So you, once you understand need for a program and you map out the list, okay, I need to do this right now. You do that now. That's very important. And that's, and that's time sensitive. So I need to do that right now. And the one that's not important, um, and not urgent, you're gonna, you're gonna either delegate it or not do it or like, put it into a later task. So there's something that, these are tricks and, and things that you're gonna learn. To get, to get, to be able to, to get things done. Yes, to get things done. So let's get ready to transform now our view and your view, actually, on how to actually navigate these challenges, um, and how the cycle of overthinking, because that's a big one. I think most procrastinators are big overthinking. Yes, I know. They will think something over. Like they just in their heads. Yes, I'm always in my head. Yes, I'm always in my head. And this thing off in your head, I landed in America. This time in my head. And then we can also help to dismantle those financial and knowledge barriers that keep us from achieving our dreams. Because, you know, we, we make excuses about finances. We make excuses about where we were born. We make excuses about where are we currently and that holds us back in achieving what we, what we, we supposed to achieve. I agree. And here's another thing too that I want to bring a window. It took about blind spots. And these things, a lot of these things is blind spots. And if you don't, if you don't understand your blind spots, you don't know, then you're, you're going to procrastinate. Then you're going to, you're going to continue to fall in the vicious cycles. Why? Because you're not dealing with the blind spots. And this was just episodes about, it's about helping you to understand these blind spots so that you're going to begin to put things in front and begin to, you know, push some things into place. So yeah, and perspective and so that you could begin to get things done and know what you need to get done. Yeah. So let's get started and turn those obstacles into stepping stones. If you put in the work today, guess what? 2025 might look a whole lot different. You can actually do a 360 turn just by not procrastinating and not overthinking. Because we want 2025 to be even bigger and better. So 2024, we were still starting a display chance. But let's prepare even better for 2025. Yeah, because here's the thing too, because, you know, 2024, you should have started last year. 2023, you shouldn't boom. It's because you should be hitting around one hour already in 2024, boom. So that now this year for those that didn't prepare last year and they wanted better life. Now you got to start doing things today for the next year. You know, Let's get the habits going to get it, you know, to get to get the balls rolling. But I always still say that it's never too late. It's never too late. Yes, it's never too late. But you got to start. That's what we're saying. We got to start now and you start. The main thing is to get started. Yeah, they get started. All the different episodes. And we've been on a roll for the last couple weeks with these series mindset. Yeah, we've been rolling. I think mindset is like the key thing to anything. That's what holds most of us in achieving our goals. But we just, we, you know, before people even talk down to us, we talk down on ourselves, we'd be telling yourself in your mind, you might not even spit it out. I'm too overqualified or I'm underqualified or I don't belong in that room or, you know, whatever, you speak yourself out of things, which some people think, but I see doing it. And you'd be like, no, not me. You know, I speak for myself with that because most people have seen me as this really successful public speaker. But for some reason, I sometimes look at myself and think I don't probably, I can't do what these people are doing. And when I'm sitting in front of the speakers, I'm like, I can do that. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. But I just haven't thrown myself out there enough to be able to get the opportunities because of course, you've got to throw yourself out there. Yes, you have to throw yourself out. Because opportunities are not just going to come to you. They have to, you have to put yourself out there. Yes. So you would say mindset malice. It matters. It matters. Mine said matters. I mean, like I was making an example of myself, I need to stop, stop overthinking and just, just do it. Just like Nike, just do it. So understanding the power now of the growth mindset and the fixed mindset, because that's where the biggest challenge is, because a person with a growth mindset, things very differently from a person with a fixed mindset. Some examples of this is, okay, so before we go there. So the importance of seeing obstacles for growth, because that's how the growth mindset and the limited, I like to say limited, or fixed mindset think is when they see opportunities as growth or as obstacles. Yeah. And I would say this too, because the scripture is a powerful scripture to say, as a man, think it's so easy. And so it's very important how we see our stuff, how we see obstacles. Because one person is seeing an obstacle as a challenge. And it's one person, a child, or even a learning. A learning, yeah. You know, like even in songs in 119 saying, you know, it was good that I would afflict it so I could learn. That person was afflicted, but it changed. It changed. So instead instead of seeing as, but that's, and that's a person with a growth mindset. And if you welcome, we can cover you too. There's a book after the core mindset by our doc, the white, the, you'll see the link will be in the scriptures. Well, if you want to purchase the book, but that's a good book to read. But one, and so now that person seen a challenge as a learner opportunity, like David, another one, David, I love that scripture. We quoted all the times. Yay, I walk through the valley of the shadow of the death. I will fear no evil. So guess what? David, then seeing his challenge, his valley as doom and gloom, seeing his challenge, his valley as I'm coming out of this situation. I know I'm in this right now, but guess what? I'm not going to, I'm not going to stay here. And this is why David is he, because he went through a lot and seen a lot. He, this is why he would see when he said I was once young and I'm old and I've never seen the rights of physique and no disease, begging breath. Why? Because any day that he went through, he knew he was coming out. He, he just seen. He knew that it was just a temporary situation. He knew that. Yeah, it was a temporary and this storm is just going to make me better. It just, it just wasn't a step or stone to prepare me for the next, for the next job, for the next level. I have to go through this in order to be prepared for the next level. And anytime, if you want to go higher, you're going to have to face your giant. You're going to have to face your demons. You're going to have to face your obstacles. You're going to have to face your, your, your, your biggest fears, order to go to the next level. You're, whatever you're afraid of, oh, thank you. Joe even said it. The thing I was most afraid of is what came upon me. And until you overcome your fears, you're going to keep bumping against your fears. You're going to keep going, well, and, and so this is why you're going to see every challenge as an opportunity to grow and not be doomed because you're going to still be the same site, richest cycle. I've never overcome a never going to the next level, never going higher because you're not, you're not seeing it. You got to see it. So yeah, we got to, we got to begin to adapt that growth mindset and say, you know what, I can do this. I can overcome because it's easy to have this perfect mindset when things are going right. When everything is going, yes. But what happens when things start going south, what happens when things start? It's a fit. When, when, when the SHIT, it's the fact. It's a fit, yes. How do we respond to that? You know, and most of us don't respond very well. Myself included, you know, I had to make a decision today and I call the whole world. Okay. I call literally the whole world to help me make a decision because I knew the answer, but I just needed people to help me validate me and make me see what that my answer was the right way or whatever. But I was just panicking and yeah. So it helped me to get views from people that I trust to help me decide. You can do that instead of just thinking it in your head because it can make you go crazy. It's easy when things are going good, you know, easy to make decisions. But when boy, when life happens, and that's most most time, when life happens, when you got to go through, man, let's see where you still have to say attitude. Are you able to now see obstacles? Or you'd be like, oh, not big again. Instead of making these barriers look like things that are already you can overcome, you know. So let's try and I think this episode, what we're trying to achieve is to move from that fixed mindset to a growth mindset and seeing every situation as an opportunity to learn more to grow. Right. That's what this is about. So let's look at learning in a nutshell. Okay. Just learning as a new skill because most people are afraid to learn. Yes. Yes. Because like we're saying earlier, even when you go through stuff, it's a learning opportunity. Even when we do jobs or do tasks that we do not enjoy or do not like, if the season calls for that, then maybe you're supposed to go through that because you will learn something out of that. Yes. Yeah. So fixed mindset, a person with the fixed manager will be saying, maybe, for example, in a code and you want to learn code, right? If you want to learn like a new skill, like coding, like accountancy, in my case, like taxes in my case, like I could have easily said, this is tough. You know, I can't do this. I mean, you know, I'm not a maths person. I'm not a numbers person. I like to say this. And that's why I'm so proud of myself that I actually overcame that by just going ahead and doing these taxes. And not just my taxes, but people taxes that I did not know because you don't mess with people's money. That's one thing you never do. So I developed a growth mindset by doing that by saying, you know, I'm a good numbers. Like I'm really struggling with my accountancy, but because I'm using a growth mindset, I'm going to throw myself in the ocean and just learn this thing and do it. And I've already mentioned before, guess what? I was one of the top people in my class in the office who was doing great. Closing racial was phenomenal, was even above, you know, the managers, I won't say the managers, but above the required rate, you know. And I did great when the hours started going down, guess what? I still was maintaining the office versus other people, which meant that I was adding value to the office, you know. So me making an example of myself is that it's possible to move from a fixed mindset into a growth mindset. A growth mindset. I'm looking at you to help me out, because this name is not coming out. Yeah, I'm sorry. But even like for myself, you know, I had to fix myself for a long time with my speaking. Yes. Yes. Yes. And look at you now is one of the best facilitators. Yes. So with my speaking, I used to might, I had to fit my, oh man, I can't talk. I enjoy facilitation. I enjoy facilitation. I love, I love helping people. I do. I love helping people. I love speaking. I love to impart information. So I know I have to develop this growth mindset because if I stay up my head, then I won't be doing what I'm doing today. You know, and so I had to develop the growth mindset. So you know, I can learn, you know, I can get better. I can, you know, slow things down. I can practice of speaking. And, and I know entire if I, if I step out there, like I said, step in the ocean, like the scripture said, launch out of the deep. If I launch out of the deep, eventually days will get better. The album begins again, I mean, use the sports analogy on a football and football. They say, you know, when they talk about, you know, the game, because the game move fast. And so they always said, you got to slow the game down. And once you're slow, the game get much, just slow the day, once you're slow, the game get up, the game will catch up to your abilities. So if you, if you never slow the game down, then it will always continue to move fast. And this is why a lot of people don't make it because the game never slow down to them. And so I understood if I, if I want to impact people, if I want to make a difference, if I want to get this bootcamp out, because I want to build a school, the goal is to get my own, one of my wants to go is to build a school. Yeah, we put it in a university, it's to build a school. And so for me to build a school, I had to put myself out there to get started with the mentorship program, in the community, in the podcast, all this is step of stones. Every challenge is a step of stone to that's going to lead to something else, you know, to the bigger goal, the bigger goal is to, you know, one of my dreams that I have when I first got saved is I knew the law was showing me is I'm going to have two corporate buildings, one for ministry and one for court and secular. I knew that. So I'm like, okay, but I had to go through different phases in my life when I got saved, was school, was this, and I had to be willing to step out. And regardless of my infirmities, my weakness, I had to still step, I said, you know what, I can learn, I can get better, you know, and when I came up with a challenge, because I came up with a lot of challenges, we got to remember when I first started school, I would tell my grandma was terrible. Oh, I don't know how I passed up with class, but I made it through, but I prayed, I asked the Lord, but and the next time I took my class, my, I think I had to say professor too, because I noticed the difference, right. I know because when I went in that class the second time for the, for the different class, a light bulb came on and I said, oh, I had another spirit. I was like, oh, I got it, I stayed and got it, got clever. And even with the professor, she said, like, yeah, you're writing, did it prove. And so, yeah, but I had to develop this growth mindset and say, I can run, I can get better. If I'm going to, if I'm going to achieve my goals and achieve the dream that God will show me that the Lord will show me, then I had to develop this growth mindset and say, you know what, I got, I think we all need to develop a growth mindset. If we want to be successful, another example would be somebody facing criticism at work in their workplace. They would, some would say, I can't do this job. This is too hard for me, whatever. But a person with a growth mindset would say, you know, I appreciate this feedback. Yeah, I suffered. Yeah, because it's going to make me do better and be better. Yeah, yeah, you know, yeah, like they see that they see feedback as a feedback loop and not criticism. They don't see the feedback as criticism. Because a lot of times, when you're on the job, you see as criticism, oh, they're coming down with me. They're talking about me. They don't like me or all this kind of stuff. Yeah. And another example with the overcoming financial setback. So a person with a fixed mindset would say, I'm doomed financially. Or they will just speak negatively. Oh, these bills out. I'm tired of paying Peter and paying off. Yeah, you just talk for both of us. You call yourself broke and all that. Yeah. Of course, you creating it. You're putting it out there. Yeah. You know, some people would say, instead of saying that, say, I'm financially overstretched, you know, because at least you're not saying you're broke. You just financially overstretched, you know, or you're, you're, you're, you know, just find ways around it instead of using these negative words. And a growth mindset also could say, I'll use this this this period to learn better budgeting, you know, and not focus on what you don't have, but focusing on what you could have. Yes. At the end of the day, to any situation that we may go through and we come across, you know, it figure out about, you just got to figure something out. Any situation we go through, it figure out about, you know, if you with mindset, even if you're going through a challenge right now, if you think hard enough, if you, if you'll come up with a strategy, my strategy, if I'm, if I'm going through a situation, my goal to is prayer. I'm going to pray. I'm going to pray about I'm at the Lord, you know, help me out. Just like you say, if you pray about it, don't don't worry about it. Yeah, you're going to worry about it. Don't pray about it. So, you know, so in, in here's the thing too, right? My thing is prayer. And right now, even like right now, if I'm in a tough situation, I'm like, Lord, I need, I need your guidance, you know, one of my things is I'm like, okay, Lord, you know, my, one of my prayers helped me to be a better steward of my finances. I'm going to be a better steward of my relationships. I'm going to be a better steward of different things. So, I want to be a good steward, you know, so because the worst and much is given, mustn't require. And so, if I want to do much, then I had, it's going to require more of me. And so, you know, and, and, and, and I want more, and I want to overcome, and I want to achieve all the things, but also had to be a good steward because he gave those more when you, he certainly see that you are faithful. When you, when you're able to handle the things that he has given, the little bit, the little bit, if you're, if you're in a manner of certain things, then you're able to, then he give you more. Right. Yeah. And so, let's talk about the overthinking trap, because that that's the biggest loop, no, not even trap trap, you know, for, for most people, because when we overthink, it leads to paralysis. Something happens in the mind, you know, and, Notices, paralysis, paralysis by analysis. Yeah, you just keep on, like, especially people who are, like, and a little completely, we say the seeds and the success. Oh, they're the worst. Yes. Because you'll be going through it again and again, like, and we got back to you. We good. We need the seeds. I'm a, I'm a, I'm a high C when I'm under pressure. So this, this means I, I can owe it. I'm, I'm a overthinking. So this is who I am. Yes. And I, I, I overthink, but also, once I make the decision, I mean, yeah, she made it. Yes. Your, your, your idea. I don't turn back. Your teeth. That's right. But it's just sometimes, if it's a hard decision, just, just getting that affirmation as well. I saw it from today that I need that, you know, that affirmation that you're doing the right thing. Okay. So that, because I think one of the few. That wasn't a seed, though. That wasn't a seed. That was the eye. That came up today. Yeah, that was the eye. That wasn't a seed. You didn't need an affirmation. I needed an affirmation. You need an affirmation. You need an agreement. That, that was the eye. That wasn't a seed. That was the eye. I think, I think that I came up because, you know, me just wanting that affirmation or that confirmation from others is that I don't want people saying, why, why did you miss that opportunity? You, you, you should be, I just didn't want the blame. The blame is painful. People say, I told you so. That's painful. You know, so for me, I think that's why I called key people, people that I usually talk to to say, Hey, what you think? I'm stuck, you know, because these are the same people that I, I go to when I need advice as well. Yeah. Yeah. And we, and we want to let you know, we, if we do offer the disassessment. And so if you want, you want to know yourself better and, and where you stay in that, we say, take the disassessment. So you begin to understand if you are seeing, if you are I, if you are s, if you are D, and it's important, it's very important to know this to know that because if you, if you are high C and you, over the, and, and a little cool person, then you can adapt strategies, you know, to, in your life, because you know, you got to know, okay, you know what, because when you are high C, you got to say, okay, you know what, enough is enough. I got all the data I need. And now I got to take action. Yeah. Now that's enough. That's the thing. When you, you're overtaking, because you got, sometimes you got too much data. I think that's what it is. It's all around you. And so now you want to, you want to, you want to simplify, simplify to amplify action. You want to simplify to amplify action. So, so you do got to get started. Okay, data is great, but you have to get started. You got it. Like, you know what, it's tough. It's go time. It's go time. And, and, and another thing to live with the decision you made. That's why I was so unsure. Yeah, you got to live with it. Even if I know, because a lot of times you might make a lot of bad decisions and that, like you said, when people are, you shouldn't take the edge, you know, it's okay. It was your decision. And you have to live with it. And you have to live with it. Okay. If you made a mistake, so why? It's okay. You learning. No, go back. Just go back. By all four options. Yes. Yeah, you're right. You're all two, but here's the thing, book, John Master wrote a book. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you learn. So, you never lose. You're always learning. And so even if you, even you overthink again, because you're like, oh man, if I'm making a decision, what people are going to say? What's, what's going to happen next? This is like, no, make a decision and live with it. And stick by it. And so if it, whatever, how it's such a false. Yeah. If whatever happened happened, yo, yo, I'm telling you, I said, it's tough, yo, I had to jump into me one time. And when the job went to me, I had to be there, right? And so I made the decision to help my cousin out because he wanted me to go with them to New York because we're going to help somebody else out. I had to interview, I told him, I had to interview, I had to be there. And I'm like, I can't go because I'm, I don't want to be late for the interview. But you know what, I helped them anywhere. I helped them out anyway, right? I went to the interview and helped them out. That's what we was there in New York. See, that's the one in New York. I didn't know because New York is no joke. So we went there, and we were there for a long time. And I got back, I was late for my interview. I missed that opportunity for somebody who would never help you. Yeah. So guess what happened? Right? Okay, I'm disappointed. I was hurt. I'm like, man, I should never win. But guess what? I said, I live with it. I made the decision to go help them. And I cried too. I went, I cried to the Lord. I'll tell you, I went to the Lord cry, and I went home, I cried, and then I said, you know what, it's okay. I live with that decision. It is what it is. And God opened up another door for me. And it wasn't more money, but it was better. Because God knew what was about to happen. He knew I was about to start school. And I needed that part time get while I was in school. Because if I were working for that job, a full time, it probably would have been a lot harder to get to school if I would have had that full-time job. But because I had a part time get, I was able to get to school. So God knows, see, that's what God knows these days. And sometimes, and that's why you got seeped in that opportunity, because sometimes you don't know your aim. You don't know what's down the road. But when you, me as a child of God, I don't know. And so I depend on the holding goals in them to direct me and show me the way. So, language of decision, you know, and make the decision, you know, yeah, get the information, but make the decision eventually. So let's just talk briefly about how to simplify decision-making as well in choices. You know, an example would be if you want to start a fitness routine like I have, overthinking, or when do I start? How will it fit in my work schedule? I don't have gym gear, all that. You go through so much and you just end up not starting, instead of just taking what you have and just going with the flow. And things will unravel themselves as they go. And then, like for me, I started off without any gym clothing and slowly but surely I'm buying some gym clothing. So I'm able to enjoy even more my exercise routines. Writing a report, you know, overthinking of where to start. This was before the CHET GPT. Where you can just tell AIs, I want to write about this and they write for you, you know, eliminate the blocks as an author myself before the CHET GPT era. Oh my God, I would sit and think, how do I start? I just don't know how to start it. And I remember the last book that we wrote, oh my God, it was so hard, I would sit there thinking, I don't know how to say it. I don't know what to say but how do I start it? So yeah, thank God for the official intent of this now, or putting my hand on a stall thinking about the details, just getting started and focus on things that matter, quality of the coffee or whatever, quality of the food and coldsiness. Think about that, just find that one thing and don't think about all the details because what's going to happen if you think about all the details, it never gets done. If you think, oh, I got to do this, I got to do this and never get done and go back to that. Analysis about paralysis, you get paralyzed because you think about too much at one time and it's never get done. Let's talk about our favorite one, Money Matters. Yes, financial fears. And navigating the Money Barriers. With creativity, that's king. How do we overcome these financial barriers that we have? How do we create civics? How do creativity meaning like, how do we come out of it? How do you find ways to come out of it? One would be somebody saying, the most common excuse, I don't have enough money, I don't have the money to do that. That's the copper too. I don't have enough, I don't have the money yet. Instead of just finding a way to do it. They always say, when there's a will, there's a way. Absolutely. When there's a will, there's a way. Another one that they always say, oh, there's always a ram in the bush. And so, yes, if there's a will in the way, because it goes back to mindset, as a man, think it's always easy. And if you say, I don't have, I don't have the money, what you're doing is, you miss the opportunity to find a way. You're missing opportunities. And also, that financial barrier or that financial situation could actually be a catalyst to become a business person, to come out of it in even a better way than you are in. But you just have to find a way. Find a way. And just got to sit down and think a little bit. Just sit down and come up with different strategies. Like, again, creativity. Crowd funding. Crowd funding, yeah. Use the crowd funding. Put it out there and take your ego and sit on top of your ego and just put it out there and say, hey, present family, I need your help. I want to start a project. Of course, I'm not coming out. I said, some of some might not. But that's okay, because you might find a few who will say, hey, we know she's a dreamer. He's a dreamer. Let's help him out. $25 or $10 won't hurt in our budget. So, yeah. Some people are using crowd funding more and more now. More and more now, yes. You see it all the time now. And crowd funding has been around for a long time. But yeah, that's one. This is how a lot of tech companies got up and running. They crowd funding. Businesses like tech, it costs a lot of money to design. And yeah, it's for banks. If you don't have the what you call the collateral, they won't give you nothing. Yeah, like even like when you when you go on to register, you know, you need that down payment. So you got to find creativity to get that down payment. You got to find ways to get that down payment. You got to be resourceful. You know, a lot of times you got to sell strategies. You know, you got no capital. You got to farm ways. You know, what's in your home? What's in your house? What's in your hands? Sell stuff. Sell things. You know, a lot of we all got stuff in our house that we can sell. You know, they call it arbitrage. When you when you go in your house and you start selling things to get to get what you need, you know, it's all. Taking it back to the barter system. Yeah, I'm taking it back to the barter system. So it's very important to do these things. And like, you know, whatever you want to do, these are different strategies that you that you just got implemented to your life. They choose is on the layer way, you know, don't forget about the layer way. I grew up on the layer way. I grew up on the layer way then. Especially if you got to get a layer way where they don't give you a limit. Yes. Yeah. I came for you because I didn't have the money in the first one. But also I like the limit in a way because it pushes you to pay. To get into pay. Yeah. Pay it off. Sometimes when you have no limit, you can lie or whatever. I look at other bills and I'll see that whenever you come around to it. But they're not losing up in any ways because they have the furniture or the clothing in their store. Anyways, if you don't come and get it, they're not losing anything. Yeah. So I don't know why they could pressure you. Yeah. Your budget for it. You save up for it. These different things that you could do. So you definitely want to save up and yeah. Definitely. So and in an actual knowledge is power. Not it's just power. You know, after everything that we've mentioned, you know, it's important just to go out and do your own due diligence. I always say this because overcoming the I don't know hurdle is a big one. If you don't know, then listen, click on Google. Yes. We've got we've got YouTube university. Yes. We got chat GPT. We've got AI apps. I mean, we have a ton of stuff over there. Especially now. We got more information now. Absolutely. But it goes. I've seen here's a thing the knowledge the knowledge is power overcoming the hurdle. I don't know. One thing I must say this to because one thing that I picked up when I when I first gave my life to. Yes, I must say I don't know. But in these is revelation. These are nuggets that I picked up though that it's all I've seen eat the word. Eat the word. Eat the word. Spend time in the world. And so now I'm going to take your father because we get spit. I'm using the practical sense because we not just eat the word but in the lesson in whatever you like. I have to go back to school and and dive in and eat them eat the lesson and really get get acquainted with my lessons get acquainted with my my field get acquainted with those textbooks get acquainted. Eat the word. Eat the textbook. Eat the textbook. And so even with the U2 university, I had to get acquainted with U2 University of the school and get acquainted with whatever I'm trying to learn what I don't know. And so I'm in a book club that we've done. I love this. And in the book club, we've reached that book for that. One thing I've seen that I love, he said if it's something that he don't know, if it's something that he don't know and he want to be in something or get involved with something, he goes for a course, he go for a course, he go, he take a training, join a webinar, a lunch and whatever it is, some type of training so that he can know what he want to get involved in. So now it's just power. But if so, if you don't know something, if you want to start a business and you don't know how right now to eliminate that because again, if we don't, we're gonna we're gonna procrastinate. We're not gonna get going. We're gonna make excuses. It's not for me. No, overcome them. We eliminate the blind spots. These are blind spots that we have. The knowledge, the money, all the different things in blind spots. And so if you have a knowledge problem, then guess what? You learn. You do what you gotta do. Me, I went back to school. For you now, you don't, you don't, we got this since my minutes to book him, you want to start a business where you don't have to go back to school and pay $30,000 a year for four years. You could, for a fraction of course, you could join the six-month mentorship who can return, to turn your ideas or a sustainable schedule of business. If you learn, if you want to learn tech, guess what happened? You don't have to go to, um, college, go to, go to, go to course careers. You know, so they got different things that you could do to take a course, join a mentorship program, you know, workshops, much of those webinars, all these different things, um, podcast, you listen to podcast, you keep listening to it. If you remember, eat the word. If you got to listen to that podcast over and over and over again to something, click. I'm telling you, if you keep going, you keep listening, something is going to click, something is going to break. And this is why I'm, I'm for knowledge and for education, because if I don't know something, in fact, if I, if I don't know something eventually, something is going to click, something is going to click, something like, something like, oh, I see it now. And even if you don't have a spirit, but you get the knowledge, true, man, you're still dangerous, because now you got the knowledge to do what now you know what to do. Now you're just waiting for the opportunity to do it. It's powerful. When you know what to do, you know, you might not have their spirits. This is why I said, oh, I don't have the spirit. You might not have their spirits, but you got the knowledge. You should wait for the opportunity to get it to do it. Yeah. So let's look at the actionable steps to overcome procrastination, right? We've spoken about a lot already. So how do we build a blueprint for success? Start it small, get started, get started. Having these achievable goals, we always talk about small goals, you know, Pacific, magical, achievable, revenue or realistic in town now. And also just getting an accountability or accountability between person. Yeah, join the community. Yeah, that's opportunity, one of the community, join the community. Yes, community as well. Yeah, when we had workshops, you're learning, we're learning in the community. We get lunch and lunch, book clubs, masterminds, you know, and then also you being coach, you know, only law trainers on these workshops. You're being coach. We take your action. There's accountability. You networking with other like money individuals. So there's a lot. I mean, I'm telling you, so it's a lot too. It's a lot that you learn, but get into that accountability partner. Get that accountability part. Yes. Yeah, because I made a good example with myself as well. I had to, I knew that I wanted one of my goals for 2024 was to share to some weight, not some action, a lot of weight. A lot of weight. And because things were getting out of hand. But as you can see, I'm a little trimmer today. And I really did not want to use medication, especially in the beginning, because I really wanted my body to use to really do what it naturally naturally, you know. And I've always said, once I'm actually kind of, you know, my body is there and understanding in my, you know, I'm making a lifestyle, I could look into speeding up the process, maybe for a month or two, not for long term as well. Because some of these medications have really bad assign effects, but just to help, because I'm over 40. So it's harder to break down fat and speed up my metabolism, the natural wave. But I've done this for 30 days already where I was doing it naturally. And I've seen great results. And now it's just maintaining and trying just to continue the momentum. So though my point is been making in this example is that I had to start somewhere and I needed an accountability group to help me to be courageous, motivation, to motivate me. And I told myself, I just need that accountability group for two months. This month is my second month. They don't know that this is my last month. Because I really don't need them because it takes 21 days to pull the habit. Yes. And I'm now enjoying this healthy lifestyle. But I knew that I need an extra month to just drill it in. And I believe it's almost drilled in now. Because I can now say no to jump when I see it. I'm not as tempted because for me food was a comfort. So it's like I go to food when I'm upset, I go to food when I'm happy, I go to food when it's past time. But now I don't know, I don't know my meter because I understand that I am messing up the only body that I have. So the decision is really up to you how you want to overcome certain things in your life. Start small. Start small. And slowly, you know, the never ever come. The next step will come. You want to write a book, you know, like, you know, start out by writing two to three hundred, two to three hundred words a day, you know, until you accomplish that, until you accomplish writing that book and be able to publish it. Because each more time that you make in man, it feels it's manageable, you know, I'm mad at you. Like we said as well, if it's tough for you to do what I know, find someone with the same goals and, you know, and push together. Because two is better than one. If you are lazy that day, they're gonna push you, come, say, let's do this. You can't do it. And if they lazy the next day, you the one who's going to be pushing them to encourage them and say, Hey, you've got this. Remember, we've come too far. Because last week, I only lost a pound and I wasn't too excited. And of course, I'm in an accountability group and I'm forced to submit my way in every week. And I told them I'm disappointed that I only lost a pound because I'm putting in the work. I'm getting up every morning. I'm going, I'm exercising. I'm drinking what I'm supposed to drink. I'm eating what I'm supposed to eat. Maybe here and there, I still have some snacks, you know, after six, you know, but it's not like major snacks. And, and then comes back, a pound was like, what? But then the beauty of the accountability group, they will tell you, even little accomplishments are better than that. Yeah, you're moving towards the right direction. You started, don't look bad. And sometimes you just need to hear that. Yes. And like I said, accountability and coach, you know, these different things that you want to you want to have, because the coach, you don't don't have to be in the same goal. The coach's job is to help you still and try. You know, so you get a higher coach and whatever as well. But it's reasonable if you're going to accountability part, if you can grab your friend, you grab your friend and just like my accountability group is not even expensive. Like I've been like, I think $10. Yeah. So even like with that, you can stay in things like that to keep you up and but in a thing too, even like with the community, you find that accountability partner, someone that you can network where talk to, you know, so that you go, always have that, that kind of ability to stick to your goals.
