Kday, friends, this blister guy and for Thursday the 31st of October, maybe actually, yes, I think it is the 31st of October, 31st of October, 31st of October, ooh, ooh, ooh, it's episode 1379 of Walk to a Commobile Hearthstone podcast. The pre-release Tevnbrol thing is live, it's been live for a day now actually, and like, well, but when I say a day, it's been a day now, and when you hear this, it'll be almost a day and a half, I don't like that aspect of this, but I mean, it's just silly to expect like, most podcasts are recorded some amount of time before they get into a feed, and sometimes it's like a day or more, depending on how long it takes them to edit it, right? I'm pretty quick, you're going to get it within 12 hours, anyway, I used to be within like three or four hours, and 12 hours, like at three or four hours got it, so people would get it in the evening, but most people don't listen to a podcast in the evening, they just do it while at work or on the way to work and where, and work and stuff, so like having a bit more delayed was fine, because that's when most people would get to listen to it anyway, and a bit I wasn't carrying a second laptop in my bag, which has probably contributed to my back pain going away, but also level of fitness has probably helped there as well, but that's a different story, anyway, yes, look at the previous brought, so yes, the patch that brings us the great dark beyond is here, it officially goes live on the fifth next week, nothing else happening on that day in the world, sweat, eyebrow emoji thing, but until then we have the previous brought, which is where you can open your packs ahead of you can build decks using whiz bangs workshop and perils and paradise, and anything you've opened from the great dark beyond and into the brawl, and the brawl costs two arena tickets to enter, that's officially 300 gold worth, which is not nothing, but the prizes are pretty heavily favourable, if you get three wins out of a maximum of six, you can get up to six wins and once you lose three times you're out, then three wins you get three packs, now for some people those three packs aren't necessarily worth it because two of the packs are great dark beyond, nice, one of the packs is perils and paradise, oh, not so sure about that, but if you get four wins I think you do get three great dark beyond packs, if you get six wins you get like four packs and extra stuff, it's nice, but it's pretty generous as far as the pack goes, but it's not free, well first entry is free, even though if it doesn't look like it, so everyone should get to go, the good news for free to play players, people haven't been able to get the pre-orders with me, one there from other people, or just haven't been able to spend money themselves, which is totally fine and nobody ever gets judged for that, like whatever anyone's financial circumstances are, you can't afford to buy the bundles, totally okay, no one's judging for that, it's quite alright, the brawl, some of the best decks in the brawl don't really include any great dark beyond cards, now this might be a bit of a pain point for the dev team, like obviously they want people to be excited to play new cards, they don't want people to be playing new cards and to lose to people who aren't playing new cards, that doesn't feel very good, but then the opposite is also true, they don't want the new cards to be so overpowered that, you know, people who weren't able to pre-order, or get very many packs via spectating people, or even just not open the cards you want, they don't want those people to feel bad either, like kind of a difficult line to toe, the language that we're seeing so far is generally, we would like to do this again, but you know, we're going to pay attention to how this falls out, so there's no guarantee that this does happen next expansion, so we shall see right, but so far so good I think, the day one meta game looks like it was, well it started off with Blood Death Knight, Blood Blood and Holy because of the, is it Alek Reach spell, the one that says, it's like six, six gold, summoner 55 with taunt, give you hero plus five health, and spins six corpses or something to do it again, and for six mana two, five, five with torts is good and gains in health, excellent obviously, so you get about spins of corpses, you've got to be in Blood Blood and Holy, that looked like the best deck day one, because it's a rare spell, so people who pre-order generally got that, but then as the day progressed, obviously Pirate Demon Hunter with basically no new cards, was also incredibly good, it turned out that testing dummy warrior, mech warrior was excellent as well with no cards, and I would go as far as to say that mech warrior and demon hunter are the best decks right now, and they're getting people the most packs, but not the ones that are getting the most fun, so before we talk about what I've been playing, and while you might see a preponderance of six-win screenshots across social media and discord and things, not everyone's getting that, they're only sharing the six wins, nobody shares a screenshot when they didn't get six wins, so it seems like a lot of people get that, but a lot of people get regular things, for example, my first run, I tried a hunter list that I saw, that's not one of the best decks, so I went three and three, which is fine, my second run, I tried the mech hunter that Mr. Yegut had used, which is far from the optimal mech hunter list, and I ran into mirror matches, which showcased why my list was not as good or Mr. Yegut's list was not as good, I actually took well one card, and I say take one card out, spoiler alert for what's coming up, I didn't open a season's expanse, so I couldn't run a season's expanse, because I did open kill jadon, so I was running kill jadon, which has been fun, I took that out and I only went four three with that, which is better than nothing, last night I tried the druid deck that we're playing today, and went zero three, now we will talk about that in a moment, because I'm playing it again, which you know, maybe like you're keen, but yeah I am, fun deck, we'll talk about how I went zero three soon, but those might result so far, and they're not spectacular, but they're fun, I'm having fun, and a lot of people have a build up of arena tickets, so the entry being to arena tickets after the first one being free, it means a lot of people are still just effectively paying this for free, it's not really free because those tickets can be used for arena runs, which can give you packs too, but I know arena's not for everyone, so you know, as you can see, worksite stuff coming off the bridge after dropping mongas at school, you know, if arena's not your thing, you might have a buttload of tickets, and getting to spend those buttload of tickets on something now seems pretty cool, now before we get too carried away, let's do a patreon thank you, patreon.com/prescribe, you can afford to support the work we do, today we're thanking Kemel, Kemel is a very long-term supporter and/or patron, I think, was here before I even had a patron, I believe, patreon, I believe, and would just hang out, when I got to stream at lunchtime, so which doesn't really happen very much anymore, but it might happen again one day, you never know, Kemel would hang out and chat a lot, so long-term friend, and thank you to Kemel and all the other patrons for their support, because it really does go a long way to help me do what I'm doing, if you can't afford to support, I totally understand, tell a friend, leave a review, all that stuff helps, now where should we start? I've talked briefly about them in a game, there are lots of other decks, if someone has to say to you, well, I mean, I saw someone coming to Discord late last night growing to bed, in other words, when they were getting up, they were going, "Oh, is it all just like blood death night and demon hunting now?" Like, just stay in his day one, and I was like, "Well, no, it's not." They're still demon under, obviously, because it's very good, but the death nights have sort of fallen beside the way, and you know, that's important, where's the screenshot here? Someone uploaded, I think, in the coin-conceived Discord, a whole bunch of decklists that I think get six wins, things like Turtle Druid, which is the deck I'm playing today, I believe, and I'll explain more about why that's Turtle Druid soon. Egg Hunter, which is the one I talked about, yes, that I played first, that didn't work for me, but it may still be quite good, big Charmin. So we're talking like the Cliff Dive Charmin kind of thing, isn't necessarily Cliff Dive related, and there are some non-Cliff Dive lists, but that kind of thing. Asteroid Charmin is doing all right, Wheel Warlock, especially good when you can play Kill Jaden, or even Ceaseless Expanse. I think deck tech, Nick Weiss, one of the people at Blizzard, I bet he's the editor, so when you see Patch Notes, it's written by him, if there are any jokes in there, probably his humor, he's great, we love him. He played a Wheel Warlock, Pain Warlock is obviously doing all right, Goat Warrior, which is Draenei Warrior, I believe, which is pretty cool, because the original joke when Draenei releases, they let go, it's because the legs do the backwards goat thing, so they're called goat people. Anyway, so Goat Warrior is quite a good name, and so there actually have been Draenei Warrior lists floating around, I think Cantalou played one. Anyway, let's talk about my pack opening. Now I opened my Golden Packs, and what I got was, let's see if I can find the name of it, not that card, I made some screenshots, it's not very good. Talgaath, that's the Rogue Legendary 4-4-4, I think it might be a demon. Undamaged enemy minions take double damage, combo, get a backstab, that's not a terrific card, it might be useful in some Rogue lists, but I suspect it isn't. I got that in my Golden Packs, all right, it's cool, I don't mind, like I know some people might be like, ah wasted the Golden Pack on a bad card, didn't get any signatures now, I'm sure I will, once I get to the fifth and I start opening some Golden Packs, I'll get some signatures and stuff, because some of the signatures in this expansion are nice, but Golden Tangath was not what I wanted to open, Talgaath is a magic card, Talgaath was not what I wanted to open from the Golden Packs, but it is what it is, clearly what I wanted to open this time was playable cards. Now, usual pack opening rules apply, right, when you open your first 10 packs you guarantee to get a Legendary, which is why I got a Talgaath in my 10 Legendary, my 10 Golden Packs, sorry, first 10 packs you get a Legendary, then after that the ceiling is 40, so you won't go more than 40 packs without getting a Legendary, the average is around 20, so you're probably looking at 1 in 5 packs for the first Legendary and then 1 in 20 packs after that. My, I did the Mass Pack opening thing, because it's so much faster and obviously I was still working yesterday, so I couldn't play as much as I would have liked, but opening the packs I could do and then I could start gathering decklists across the internet and seeing what I could play and couldn't play. The first, my first 40 packs, where's the screenshot, here it is, here, my first 40 packs, I think is it this one, must be, must be, I just realized my screenshots missed up, there we go, this one, of course the first 40 packs, so that's the first 10, and let's assume it went to 10, and then the next 30 packs, there were only a total of two Legendary's, which meant my first time I went over at least 30, if not higher, and I got the eight hands from beyond, which apparently is actually quite good in the Death Knight deck, not that I've played the Death Knight deck yet, but quite good in it, I know no hands game was having some success with that, and the other one I got was Velon Leader of the Exile, which is the neutral 7 out of 7, 7, Death Rattle, Repeatery, Draenei Death Rattle, and Belacry, so that's quite cool, I don't know if it's seeing a lot of play yet or will, but I got that, so timer's a little long, but that's okay, the next lot of 40 packs, sunlight screen means I can't see what I'm doing, this one, so now we're at Pack, I guess 41 through 70, I got Exarch Melodar, that's it, so that means my first two pack timers went quite long, in the first 10 packs I got one Legendary, obviously, and then the next 70 packs I got two Legendary's, so we're talking about two max timers there, it's not great, classic, classic Blistic Eye Pack opening, usually don't really mind, it's fine, it'll all bounce out in the long run, but in this case I need more Legendary's to play with in the brawl, anyway, the next 40, thankfully, had Kill Jaden Farsia, Nobundo, and Kyure, the Light Beyond, now not with Standing Kyure, the Light Beyond, not particularly playable card, really, it's still good in the 40 packs, have gotten three Legendary's, which mean like, you know, see, the timer's an evening out, which is nice, getting Kill Jaden was good, I wouldn't say Kill Jaden is a meta breaker right now or anything, but it is a reasonable card, and everyone's playing like a control-ish meta, having a Kill Jaden in your deck can help, if between, we're talking about the Ceaseless Expanse and Kill Jaden, and I still have not talked about the Ceaseless Expanse in the podcast, I've referenced it by name, but not talked about it, I think most people would probably prefer to open the Ceaseless Expanse, but I opened Kill Jaden, and I have one games with it, I've played it and lost games still, so it's not perfect, Farsia, Nobundo, seems like a fun shaman card, I haven't played it yet, but I might get to, anyway, the last 22 packs I got just a single Legendary, which is Sarun, which is the Mage Elemental Legendary that gives all your Elementals +1 spell damage, some people did play Elemental Mage early on, no idea whether it's still competitive as of today, but you know, sweet haul, but no Ceaseless Expanse, now Ceaseless Expanse is a 15-15 neutral Legendary, which is, that's pretty big, I hope it costs at least 10 mana, well generally it costs 0 mana, well not generally, but it costs 100 mana actually, is what it says in the card, it costs 100 mana, then for every card destroyed, drawn, played, I think, on either side reduces it costs by 1, so it's not going to be 100 forever, I discovered some off of Marin's Zarg's Crown or whatever it is, and they were 9 mana at that point, so that's a lot less than 100, and that seemed fine, put two 15-15s in play, great, I had another one hand, this is going to be really good, my opponent conceded because I had two 15-15s in play, it's fine, anyway that's a solid performer of the card, I haven't got it yet, every time I see someone posted this, that has one, I'm like, oh I'm clearly teeth, I wish I had that, but I don't, anyway that's the peculiarities of this brawl, is that, you know, they're flashing new Legendary's, you want to play them, you haven't opened them, you can't, you can't craft them, all you can do is play more and hope to win more packs and hope to open more, I kind of like that, but I know not everyone does, but of course, not everyone has to even play this, technically you can take your free entry, just play to three losses, however you do that, it's up to you, and get two packs for it, like you might as well get two packs for doing very little, but you know, play a little more, it's fun, I'm enjoying it, anyway, I'm going to do gameplay today, I know it's been a while, I think the last episode was like 80 episodes ago, because obviously reveal season, we're going to play today, we're going to play this druid dick, and so I kind of want to talk about that before we play, because it's not as obvious looking at it, how it works, and I've played a bunch of games, as I said I went 0-3 with it, but I did understand a lot about the deck pretty quickly, the reason I went 0-3, my third loss was to a pirate demon hunter now, that's a great deck in the brawl, it's always good against druid, and they had the perfect draw, so they went turn one the 2-4 priest brain resources, turn two sigil skydiving, can't interact with that, turn three, what's the 3-2-4 pirate thing that says when a pirate takes it, like the dream draw out of a pirate DH, and I was druid on the draw, like I had the coin, like yeah sometimes you don't beat that, but at least two more losses, what would they do, they were both two spectral cutless rogue, now I don't think spectral cutless rogue is particularly good, this is the only time I've seen them in the brawl, and this was after the kids had gone to bed last night, and so I'm playing it, and I'm like has somebody broken it with this deck, because this deck's suddenly good, you know I lost, they had 8 attack spectral cutlasses with like 4 or 5 durability, 6 durability, like it was hard to get through, but it wasn't entirely impossible, the first one I almost beat, but I played mr vista, and brazenly, getting close to the end of my deck, I had played a sleep under the stars under mr vista, and then in that final turn what happened was mr vista replayed the sleep under the stars, and just went draw two cards, draw two cards, draw two cards, if any of the options had not been draw two cards, I was still alive, was about to play kill jaden, and would never die to fatigue, and would win, but it did all three draw two cards, and so I lost fatigue, so that was one loss, the second loss was to another one of those decks, and they got to better draw that time, and I just could not keep up, it was kind of tough, like I think maybe their spectral cutlass had even more attack, I don't remember, but it was certainly like 8 attack with almost infinite durability is a lot to contend with, so that's how I went 0-3 with the draw deck that we are playing today, and I can't remember where I am with it today, but let's talk about the deck first, which means I have to bring up the deck list, which means I have to be able to read with sunlight on the screen, which isn't always easy, but we can do it, we've done worse, do this in the rain, okay. So the reason I want to play this deck, if you've seen the picture already or the text, you know full well, is because it has star grazer in it. Now not all drew a deck to running star grazer, but this one was, and that's why I wanted to play it. If you don't remember, star grazer of one of our reveal cards, the eight mana, eight, rare, has taunts and elusive, or should I say elusive, because that's how it's like saying it in the reveal, and spell burst, the spell burst is if you play spell, you get plus eight attack to need to turn and plus eight armour, so clearly you want to be able to play a spell, oh, someone just did a U turn in front of a car coming through, and of course the, it was like a council worker, it was like gave them the evils. Anyway, you want to be able to play a cheat spell after getting star grazer down, so you can just gain eight health and quack something, because otherwise your opponent's going to kill it, but anyway, solid performer. The reason this deck is called turtle druid, I would say, the person who posted it originally, and this is not exactly the same version, I think they maybe had a ceaseless expansion there, grumble grumble, but I put a kill jade in there, whether that's optimal, I don't know, but I've had fun with it, it only has two starship pieces, and they are the neutral one, the Arcanite Defense Crystal, that's the three minor three four taunt death rebel gains six armour, and those are the only minions at four cost lists, so we're running open summons, which means generally we are getting one of these in play on turn four, either via open summons or just by playing it, and then the idea, of course, is that you get the other one, because you're running two of them, and two open summons, so you get them both, and they both die, and they both become a six eight airship spaceship, sorry, six eight spaceship when it dies, it gains you twelve armour, now the key thing here, of course, is the hydration station, we'll bring back your three highest cost taunts, but I've definitely played hydration station several times after going open summons into Arcanite Defense Crystal into spectral, so why don't we call it star grazer, and to hydration station, after having launched the six eight starship, and then what the hydration station brings back is an Arcanite Defense Crystal, and the starship, because it had taunt, which is six eight, it brings the six eight that gains eight twelve armour, back and you know, this is our grazer, so a lot of gains like, oh, I have 30 armour, that's a lot, and of course, because you're playing hydration station, you're doing it in other things, now the problem here, of course, is that Mac Warrior is also playing hydration station, and so they can do quite well on this front as well, I've seen people running things like, what's it called, the tide pool pupil, can't really do that in the stick if we're running open summons, but in warrior, I mean, you shouldn't really do that either, but if you're worried about the mirror, maybe, so you can get eight, sorry, four hydration stations, you want to try try four people, but it's not as simple as setting it up, but anyway, like, those late game strategies, I do think having killed Jaden, they will help, and I certainly have, in this current run, beaten the deck because I was running killed Jaden, so the turtle thing is the whole star piece armour gaining lots of armour, and star grazer, the rest of it is pretty straightforward, like lots of ramp, obviously, marin the manager of a drawing stuff, this deck draws a lot of cards, it's got burned down, like, you'll draw through to the tee pretty frequently, which is why I'm happy to put killed Jaden in here, and obviously, the Unkili X isn't here because it's great with the hydration station for taking things down, double trail mix just for ramping and getting stuff out quickly, double burn down for drawing through lots, new heights, thought it was called New Horizons, apparently it's New Heights, I've always called it New Horizons, but it says heights here, anyway, a whole expansion goes by to get chronic New Horizons the whole time, why did nobody tell me, because everyone else probably assumes it was too, also rising waves and swipe, you know, just to help with those early aggressive pushes from Pirate Demon Hunter, won't stop all of them, but it stops some of them and innovates and stuff, so pretty straightforward deck, quite good fun, I've enjoyed it, the first round of this deck ended up 0-3, but the second one, I'm doing a little bit of it, how much better, I can't remember, let's open the game for the first time in a while and go play a game of this, I'm right to have a bit of a burp there, my breakfast repeating on me probably because talking so much and walking so much and certainly getting to that time of year where things are a bit humid, I think tomorrow is November, all right, I missed you half, I did, like, because when I play Hearthstone at home I'm not playing with the sound on, so the only times I hear half is when I'm recording the podcast, which, as we all know, I do a lot, but as we all know it's been a real season so I haven't heard half very much. Anyway, ten rule, let's go there, we're gonna have to, play some more games because I start in the next round, after my 0-3, just boldly wincing again, yeah, we're at three and one, that's pretty good, if I lose the next two, I technically break even by having three packs, but you know, one of those Apparels pack I don't really need that, but like between you and me, I'm gonna open enough packs in general, that at some point the packs are just dust anyway, so it doesn't really worry me whether it's Apparels pack or a great deck beyond pack, but ideally we want at least one more win here, so that we're getting three great deck beyond packs, to get me closer to that, that C6 Expanse, spoiler alert on that, I bet I don't get a C6 Expanse before the fifth of November, but still it's nice to have goals, so anyway let's queue up this Turpin Druid, we're currently at 3-1, which means we will be getting paired with other people who are at three wins, which probably means good decks, sometimes when you queue into this brawl the first opponent might not actually be a very good deck, and that could be quite easy, well, I mean you can also be a spectra couple of sort of unit 0-3, okay, back button's gone, we'll have it appointed any moment, oh it's a worthy opponent, I thought it was an inspired champion, or anyway, it's always a brilliant opponent, so we are a Druid and they are a Death Knight, so probably Blood Death Knight, I think we are favored here, but you never know, I wrote me how to Stargrazor, sleep under the stars and swipe, you know the rules of Druid, hard mulligan from Malfurion's gift or new heights, why do I think it was New Horizons, we won't ramp, we will draw those things when we need them, sunlight in the screen, looks like their kit cards three and four, we've got back New Horizons, we've got back Kill Dragon, we've got back Rising Waves, I mean at least we'll have something to help deal with their early swarm maybe, first car we drew was Marin, the manager, I mean look, I'm not thrilled with this opening hand, clearly we don't want to kill Jayden early, but I know maybe that's how we win, fun thing to do is if you still have an open summons after you play Kill Dragon, you can use open summons to just randomly pull out a demon that might be quite big by now, we're just drawing a new height, oh my god, I'm still, which is great because it means we play new heights on turn three, we're here up out in turn two, I can't believe it's called new heights, why did I have, anyway, so that on turn three puts us up to five mana on turn four, we're probably going to be harboring over winter, okay so Frost Death Knight, probably has very few new cards, great, we've just drawn an open summon, so next time we're going to get an Arcanite defense crystal, that's all coming together, so let's start with new heights, we don't have to get the Arcanite defense crystal next turn, we can of course play rising waves, if the board presented is worth it, but let's see what the death knight does on their three mana turn, it's your fallen Baron, I mean, I don't need to rush to play the open summons, all right, they're drawing a swipe, I can play rising waves right now, take both minions of the board, sure they'll draw a regular card, and they'll draw a frost spell, but there'll be nothing in play, and I can just play the open summons next turn, you might be like, don't you want to play open summons before you draw one of the Arcanite defense crystals, not really, I want to draw two of them, because then I get a six-eight spaceship, and it's going to be awesome, so we're just going to rising waves this turn, two mana left so we hear a pass, we're going back up to 29, oh I keep forgetting this hero by the way, which we want to use to legend both down and wild, it's like failing I think, wouldn't he attack, he goes, "Lochta Odir", instead of "Lochta Odir", which is what the warrior attack thing is, like, your match, I love it, so every time I hear a parent attack with the sound on, I'm like "Lochta Odir", because each time I got legend I record screen record while listening to the game playing that one, there's natural talent from them, great, great, we love a natural talent in format, it cost it the coin natural talent into what is this thing, vicious slither spear from the natural talent, and then, and a horn of wind, what's that spell, our agency espionage created by natural talent, okay, and then, so they've got a 33 vicious slither spear and a two, two, three, another harpinger of winter, pretty good, we've just drawn a arcanite revelation, arcanite revelation is a new spell, one mana draw card, if it's a spell, it costs one less, pretty good, do I want to play that this turn, or do I want to hero power this turn, I mean hero power is nice, next turn we have seven mana, next turn we're probably playing sleep under the stars, so I think when we're making decisions on sleep under stars it's going to be better if we've played arcanite defense crystal, I think we want the odds of arcanite, sorry, arcanite revelation to maybe draw us a second defense crystal, so we play that first, also it's unknown that drawers can innovate, ooh that's nice, the innovator now costs one less, now we play, oh can summon so many as an arcanite defense crystal, so that's a 3/4 taunt, therefore it'll gain us some armor, the slither spear is back to a 1/3, so they have a 3/2 and a 1/3, they play any spells, obviously it'll get bigger, there are some good spells, they, like they're playing natural talent, they're playing buttons, they're playing buttons, they're playing magma thing, there's a horizon's edge, that's four, they're five mana, the first use of the horizon's edge hits it, the crystal for three, the slither spear trades into it, again six armor going up to 13 armor on my 28 health, and then they get to use the thing again putting me down to 10 armor, and then the harbinger winter attacks me down to 28 and 7, oh great, we're drawing a trail mix, so we've got six cards in hand, if we play the sleep under the stars, we have five cards in hand, which means we can only technically draw four over drawing, so we could innovate first if we want to draw six, if we do that we've got one left mana left over, it doesn't really do very much, I don't think we're going to draw six, we're probably going to refresh three mana crystals to play something we find, but I'd, so because I said I don't think we need to innovate first, we could also just play marin this turn, because then we at least have a six six in play, that seems pretty good, and we'll obviously we'll take the draw three and reduce the cost by three spell, I think marin is probably better than sleep under the stars here, because we can always sleep under the stars next turn and we'll have a six six in play at that point, so let's say marin, we're going to play, take what's it called, what kind of I remember marin cards, I'd say wondrous one, we'll take wondrous one, so next turn we'll have eight mana, innovate gives us nine if we need it, and we can play wondrous one, drawing three cards through to the next cost by three, which means if we draw into ziliax we can play it, so we're feeling pretty good, we have a stash of underwear, oh there's a dread hound handler, that's the two mana two two deathrattle summoner one one with reborn, they're using, oh they're playing second horizon's edge, gosh first one is doing some pings, two of them hit, marin one on my face, the handler traded in, I know one on marin, two on my face, and they get to use the things again, marin's got two health left, they're using the second horizon's edge, so they've got a horizon's edge with three durability and the horizon's edge with two durability, ha, they missed marin, I've got a six one marin, they went faced with their harpinger of winter instead of trading, which is fine by me, we've got a hydration station, currently the only thing that's going to bring back is a single arcanite twin crystal, so we don't want to do that, we've got seven cards in hand, which means we can draw four cards with a sleep on the stats if we want, or more, do, I think what we're going to do here is we're probably going to do a sleep on the stats to draw two cards then refresh refresh and then play the, what's it's called, this thing the wonders wand, it might be safe if it just wonders wand just to him, but if we wonders wand and we miss anything good then we probably waste a lot of money, but then we can also just trail mix if we do that, that will set spent some mana, I think we start with the wonders wand, there's a four mana sleep under the stars, a zero mana new heights and a zero mana, what's this one called again arcanite, arcanite revelation, which is the drawing thing, that's nice, this is perfect, so we've got nine cards in hand, so let's start with the new heights, eight cards in hand, let's now play a sleep under the stars, this is my rope, oh dear, we'll draw two cards, we're going to refresh three mana crystals and gain five I think, I'm up here in this gift, refresh three mana crystals and there's an innovate off that, it's nice, my ropes almost went out, gain five armor, we're going to do the trail mix, we're going to go, we're going to trade into that thing, we can hear a power and but we ran around, because we hear a power, we didn't get to attack into one one, we did trade our six one marin for their three two hybrid or winter, I think it drew no spells, which means they probably have full hand of frost spells, so that's another horn of winter, there's a marin manipulator, I'm currently on 20, 32, which means I'm currently on 22 now, and they've got two horizons, edges with some durability, so I'm going to take another six, that'll put me on like 16, and then the dreadhound will attack me for one, putting me to 15, yeah that's what it is, we're on 15, a lot of damage taken, they've got zero corpses left, that's good, we've drawn a Zaraog's crown, we have 12 mana to play with this turn, we can hydration station doesn't seem necessary yet, we can swipe, swipe, swipe one on the marin manipulator, swipe one on the face, that clears their board, it kills both the one ones, the horizons edges will be open again, and I threatened to go down to nine, but they're almost empty, I just want to be able to gain some health and armour, so maybe we need to also start with a sleep under the stars, let's first start with a arcanite revelation, open summons, oh my gosh perfect, three mana open summons, we do want to play that, it's going to pull out the arcanite fence crystal number two, that buys us defence, we have a malfurions gift, no it pulled out the golden monkey, which is not the arcanite defense crystal, but it's also a six six taunt, so that's fine, so let's see, it's my rope again, we only got one swipe, we use them, yeah okay swipe, we're going to do the double swipe, which means malfurions gift, I'm running out of time here, swipe on face, that clears their board, innovate, Zaraog's crown, two legionaries in play, let's go, that ceaseless expanse nailed it, so the ceaseless expanse in hand is down to 35 mana, but I have two 15-15s in play and a six six with taunt, they have two horizons edge, one with two durability, one with one durability, they're on 23, I'm on 15 health with six armour, thanks to that open summons, and I can launch a starship with a second with just a three fourth, the horizons edging, that's it, one of my ceaseless expanse and me, they're using the second horizons edge, that same ceaseless expanse, two on my face, summoning a ghoul, let's attack into the one with the using horizons edge again, I mean even if all horizons edges went face I don't die, now they're playing molten magma, even if they all went face I still don't die, they're playing a corpseacle, takes out the gold and monkey, they're playing a stitch giant, it's an eight eight, they're playing a war song trainer created by something and then they're conceding because they still have two 15 attack menus in play, that turn where I went from like, was it 32 health down to 15, that didn't feel good, like that's what frost death knight does, right, they're like well I've got horizons edges, I mean they don't usually have two, I've got horizons edges and a maria manipulator dealing 10 to your face, like that's generally pretty good, it's a good matchup from their point of view, we didn't even have to play the what it called, the hydration station and even if we did it would only bring back a single arc knight defense crystal, which to be fair is not bad because then it would add to the first one and then we'd launch a six eight starship the game in 12 armor when it died, but I'd rather have that and bring back that to gain a lot of armor, but we did get the marin, we did I guess sort of use swipes to clear the board, the turn where we did two swipes, one on the face, one on the marin manipulator to clear out the reborn dreadhound and the marin manipulator, that felt pretty good because those minions can demonstrate a lot of damage if allowed to stay in play and I think sometimes just putting them back to having nothing in play is where you're going to win and then you have time to gain armor out of that, now the rest of it of course was we were limited on mana, that turn where I played the open summons pulling out the golden monkey did feel nice and then of course but I always had the option of like playing sleep under the stars and just gaining 15 armor there, which would have been nice too, but I didn't do that, but I was running out of time, then of course the icing the cake was having two mana left going innovate Zoro's crown, discovering a ceaseless expanse, putting two 15 thrifties in play, you don't need to survive long after that, you just need to be able to attack with the ceaseless expanse's, now you might be thinking when you're playing as the rainbow death knight there are some ways that can fall apart right, they can run rescue into one of the things, no, rescue is from the badlands, so risk is not in this brawl, so at this point those 15, 15s, or a 15, 10 or whatever it was by the time we got to the end of the turn, they were still surviving and then being on 26 was not great for them, anyway we got the win, which means I'm now at four in one with this brawl, will it turn into a six win run, I don't know, the odds are not high, but I certainly better than the zero three I did with it, we're now four and four with this deck, which is not as bad, but happy with that, if I get no more runs on this run it's a first equal best run for me, so a couple of four threes, but still overall I'm at a negative win rate, no, no, no, no, I'm at four and four, three and three, so seven and seven I'm at eight and seven so far in the brawl, which means a positive win rate, which is not terrific, but it's also better than bad, which is, it's fine, it's good even, so happy with where we're at there and how things are going, so I'm enjoying this brawl, I mean one of the downsides is that I have a job in a family, like you are, you get to jam a lot of games on the weekend, no, no, no I do not, on the weekend I spend time with the kids, like my wife is largely self-employed, she's doing some consultancy for a friend at the moment who runs like a business and they've gone overseas for six months, basically her husband had a health scare that I think is past but they were like we need to do things with our life instead of working hard, so they've gone overseas six months, they've asked my wife to mind the business for six months, which has been very stressful for my wife in a lot of ways, obviously I won't go into, but she talks to her friend from overseas regularly to keep up dates with what's going on, but it means that you know Saturday, Sunday, I'm spending a lot of time with the kids, my wife will spend some time with us if she can, but she's probably also doing some work stuff, as well as also the other solo work stuff that she does, what do we call it, the self-employed stuff, like trying to do copywriting for people and writing, working on her manuscripts for books and things like that, like so a lot of these things, so weekend, no, weekend I'm playing with the kids, I'm taking to the park, I'm running around with them, I'm reading books, well reading books is a little one, the big one can read books to herself, thankfully, but yeah, no, I don't have a lot of time on the weekend, so the time I get to play in this, my lunch breaks at work and in the evenings, I will, I'll probably use up all the arena tickets I have, I think I had nine coming into this, I know some people had like 20 or 30, I will undoubtedly use all nine of my tickets on runs and then probably spend some gold, but not all of the gold I had banked, but I really love this as a way to spend time before the expansion launches, we know all the cards and can't play with them yet, well now I get to play with some of them maybe, it's like how we have arena with the cards usually, I love that in previous expansions, would I rather play arena or this, I don't actually know, because I really quite enjoy arena with the new cards as well, it's the time I get to play arena, maybe I'll do some of that before the 5th of November rolls around, but I am really enjoying the brawl, it's just I guess that the middle stagnates into something that's uninteresting, like everyone has to have ceased this expansion, I don't open it, it's fine, I'll just go do a arena or whatever, I'll just wait for the 5th and then we'll play a lot of standards, all good, it's a lot of fun, anyway, I'm on the train platform, I'm sweating, it's not even summer, it's the 31st of October, tomorrow is the 1st of November, summer doesn't even start until the 1st of December here in Australia and let me tell you, if I'm feeling like this now and it's not even summer yet, I'm not happy, not happy Jan, only those of you who have been in Australia for a long time will understand that reference, I didn't understand it when I got here, but people were like I'm not happy Jan, I'm like who's Jan, I actually work with Jan, but at that point I didn't know Jan, and they're like oh there was, don't you remember the ad on TV for the yellow pages, you know like the phone book thing for the businesses, I was like what do you mean, I haven't lived here that long, I haven't now lived here almost 16 years, but at the time I hadn't, but an ad from long before I moved here, there was an ad where someone had asked their employee, undoubtedly called Jan, to get their business into the yellow pages, and when the person opened it in the yellow pages, apparently Jan had like transcribed an error that the person had said when she was dictating it to them, and she's like throws the yellow pages out the window and yells I'm not happy Jan, so a lot of Australians from a long time ago understand I'm not happy Jan, whereas you probably don't, and I didn't until it was told me, anyway there's a train coming, let's get on this, so follow me on Twitch, Twitter and YouTube Atlas to go, follow the podcast, walk to workaches on Twitter, if you just want to see the episode goes live, see the deck import code like this turtle druid, who knows it'll be good in standard, but it's fine in the brawl, and of course come hang out discord, discord.me/bistagai it is always a pleasure to have you join me for my walk to work, good luck everyone, and everything you do with it, it's opening packs, entering the brawl or just playing or just chilling, or living in a country is about to have an election, I'm so sorry to you all, and for the rest of us really, it's about to see stuff, because you're all absolute bloody legends and I love you all, I do, I really do, regardless of what happens I love you all, a train's not too full, you like to see that, it's not usual for a Thursday, I only choose that should be worse but 36 minutes could be worse, nice to play gaming game, nice to win it [Music]
