[SOUND] [MUSIC] >> So this game was the 24th, so it's just last Thursday. We do not have a game this coming Thursday. There's something called Halloween, I guess. I don't know why they would not have a game for that. But so at least I get to see- >> This is not the NHL. >> Yeah, well, at least I get to see the predators play. So we'll get to that a little bit later. But it actually was pretty good for us. We never trailed in this game. We ended up winning eight to five even though it wasn't even that close. It was pretty much a blowout. I gave up some late goals in the third period. Basically the team pretty much stopped playing the last couple of minutes because we had such a big lead and the other team didn't really quit. They just kept going at us and. But anyway, it's one of those games where five goals against, but I played really good. I made some huge stops early. I didn't give up any goals in the second period, so that's a good, that's a really good sign for me because usually I'd give up at least one in each period. But that's about it for this, for that. Yeah, so I played really good in this game. And it's kind of like a sort of like the predators. They had it back to back. This week I got Chicago and they were at Chicago. And then they had a home game to back. Yeah, well, there's enough home. And then they had a home game against Columbus and then they're at Tampa Bay. First is Chicago. An interesting thing about these, oh, the Chicago Columbus and Tampa Bay game. Really didn't get to see much of them. I did see bits and pieces. One of these days I actually see the whole, actually get to see the whole game. But in all three of these games and it's like a recurring theme and they got to stop that. They fell behind two to nothing against Chicago, Columbus and Tampa Bay. They ended up coming back and winning, beating Chicago and Columbus. But they end up losing in overtime to Tampa Bay even when they came back to tie it. But that just shows you that you can't always fall behind. And try to expect to come back and win the games because especially against team like Tampa Bay, who's really, really doing good this year as well, you know, mentioned I'll you know, bring later on the show to be getting a lot of shots on goal. It feels like, you know, as I watched a little bit of the game, it's just they're putting pucks on net. It's not like they don't have a, I mean, I'm just pulling up here in the Chicago game. They had 34 shots on goal and they won 58% of the face offs. Yeah. And, and then, and the, the Columbus game, they had 33 shots. So, you know, they're, they're at least, you know, they're pucks on the net, which is a good sign because eventually, you know, they're going to go in, you know, like the Stankos and Marchesos and it is a lot of averages and Tampa Bay game, they had 37 shots. They also gave up 27. So face off or said, it was equal in that game. So, you know, I keep harping on it and you just, you can't follow me. It's like the start. So I don't know if, you know, they got, they got to be better in the start of the games. But, you know, you can't, you can't fall behind to nothing because eventually, I mean, yeah, they lost, they stood at a point against Tampa Bay and Tampa Bay and, you know, they lost it over time, but, you know, they fall, they get behind two nothing games and eventually they're going to end up, you know, they're not going to come back and it's going to end up being a five, six-goal game. And you just think, God, that Saros is playing really well right now despite, you know, I'll get into that a little bit later and we talk about actually, you know what, we're talking about the prep. I'll just jump right into that. Saros, you know, in the seven games, he's two and four and the one overtime loss, which just was Tampa Bay, and he's allowed 19 goals against, but his goal is against two points on five, which in today's game really isn't all that bad. It starts getting alarming once you hit probably 3.5, maybe, maybe even three, but, you know, with today's scoring, two points on five goals against isn't, I mean, yeah, you don't want that, you want to be in the ones, but in a long season, if you can keep it, if you can keep it at two points on five or around there, obviously, the more games he's played, the average, depending on, you know, the goals against, you know, it's going to, it probably drop a bit, so it's just, I just want to mention, you know, just mention that he's playing really good right now, you'd display the goals against, and then, you know, with the back of Wedge, which he's been two games, one was the first game of the season, he's one and one with a 3.5, four, so that's a little, not that great, seven goals against two games, that's not all that great, you know, yeah, I'm sure he'll get more opportunities to try to fix that, but, you know, it all comes down to the lack of offense by the predators, and this jumps in to, you know, what I'm about to mention, you know, the leader, Forsberg, you know, and you think, you know, you got Stankos and Marcheso and all that, and your goals leader is foot full of fourth, yeah, he probably, he is the predators, pretty much and he did lead the last, at least last year, he went even the last couple years in goals for the predators, but, you know, when he's got four goals and he points, you know, you really have to start looking at some of these other guys, like, O'Reilly, he's starting to, he's got three goals, Marcheso's only got two in Stankos, just the one goal, and that came against Detroit, I believe, but yeah, just the one, the thing that's really bugging me in all these is the starts, you know, falling behind and, you know, three, three games in a row. Yeah, it makes it very hard to win games when you're always trailing. Yeah, it puts a lot of pressure, yeah, and, you know, that's, you know, that's pretty much all I got for this week's games, you know, just, that's pretty much the only thing that really stuck out at me. I mean, it was nice for something to keep, you know, keep battling back and not, you know, falling behind and they do, they don't quit, they keep going. I did have to mention that Seros was one of the NHL three stars going, I believe it was a great game. I don't believe it was, it was last week, I believe, so it didn't include the Chicago or Columbus games. So, and he was, you know, they had that little streak going before Tampa Bay. So, it was nice to see him dig out of this, you know, they lost lot, the first flag games and, and, and starting to find a way. So, but, you know, how's, how's it looking for the wings? Well, not, not incredible. I mean, we started this, this three games stint, if you will, and we started out okay. I mean, we played New Jersey. You know, they've got Sheldon Keefe behind the bench. So, he's got a little bit of fire behind him. Don't know if I liked that move. I kind of liked what Lindy was doing, but that's besides the point. But the game was a little rough. There was some scoring. Detroit was able to, you know, and I talked about this last show. Now, Detroit scored five goals. Okay. Now, the reason I'm saying that is because total, they only got 20 shots. So, that means again, one in every four shots, they're scoring a goal. So, they've got guys, I mean, I'm, I'm, I feel that we have guys that know how to score goals. We just need to get more opportunities to do that. And that's again, where we struggle and we're not back checking and, you know, we're not going to get into the whole rant again. But we gave up another first goal to Nico Hersher, Christian Fisher. I thought he had a good game. And I want to talk about him just for a second. I mean, to bring it got his third of the season. I just want to highlight some of that Larkin got his fourth on the power play. And Rasmussen got an empty netter at the end of the game. Detroit did give up two more power play goals or penalty skills. That's an issue. That's an issue that I feel we've been seeing game in and game out. So far this year, we have to button up the special teams. I mean, you can't give up those types of goals. I mean, you just, you can't, but getting back to Fisher, I thought this was a great breakout game for Christian Fisher, because he got scrappy. He wasn't afraid to throw his body. He put himself in positions to score goals in those dirty areas. I thought he had a really good game. And, you know, if we can get that kind of production over a third and fourth line, I brought this up from previous shows, it's going to help us to win games. Getting that third and fourth line production is so important in the NHL as you're building these teams out. But Detroit sneaks away with a goal or a win here. Let's see. I think, I just want to look at the, yeah, Larkin got a questionable elbowing. I mean, questionable, like, should he be in more trouble kind of elbowing? I don't know. I mean, it was, it was an accident. It was purely an accident, but it happened and you know how the NHL looks at everything. So that's why I'm saying questionable. It was totally, you know, just part of the hockey play. But Fisher got a fighting. Lucas Raymond was getting a little crazy in there, Ben Shirat fought. So it was, it was a fun game. I mean, this is not your typical Red Wings. I kind of felt like I was watching a 1990s early to mid. We'll go even late Red Wings team. So, yeah, that was, that was a pretty decent game. But now we got to start getting into all the fun and excitement. So Detroit played in Buffalo. I was actually offered some tickets by a good friend of mine. And luckily, I chose to turn those down. Thompson, Paige Thompson had a great game. We're making them look like an all star again. He had two goals. Detroit dropped another easy one five to two. And again, I'm sorry, five to three. So Detroit had another not so great shots game. I mean, they had 25 shots in this game. And Buffalo had 39. I mean, we did well in the face off circle. We had 67% in the face off top. But the issue is D law is what we were having a really hard time defensively. We all know that all the fans know it. You read it on all the social media pages. It's on acts, all the experts, even players, Christian Fisher, even said, you know, we need to be better defensively when they were interviewing him in between periods. I mean, this is a known issue. And you've got guys like more cider who I think siders having a pretty decent year. Last year, he made me nervous. This point in the season, just some of the plays he was making. I think he's matured and he's much better this year. But I just think we need to have forwards who want to play back. And one of the guys who has not been mentioned here so far tonight is Marco Casper. I think he's got a very good game. I think he's really trying to prove that he's going to crack this lineup and stay here because his two way game is good. I think it's very good for where he's at in the season. I also think this Simon Eddinson is playing well on defense as well and he had some time up with cider. And it's not that I don't like the other guys. It's not that I don't like, you know, Shirat and Gustafson, P tree and you know, howl's not that great. But I do have a problem with howl. Because one of the goals that was allowed was where all was actually had pretty good coverage down the slot. All he had to do to prevent the goal was lift the stick. That's it. And he didn't even, I mean, it looked like a train wreck when he went to go do it. And I'm sure he's going to get called out for it in his defense. So I know a lot of players, you know, I don't know if it's in the back of their mind. When they go to stick lift a lot of times, they get a little too forceful or I guess whatever. And the stick goes up and catches the guy in the visor and the head and the face and then there's a penalty and the high stick and felony. And it's going to be four minutes. So I don't know if it's a hesitation. It costs us the game. If I mean, if that makes any, I think you take that penalty that that deep in the zone with that type of an opportunity, I think you take a potential accidental penalty. I think you have to. But yeah, and this kind of leads into, you know, ties into you mentioned about the defensive aspect. Does that is that like starting with the pound, the with their PK and, and then this, this little ties into that, you know, about not taking penalties because Detroit is Detroit is 31st in penalty killing at 66.7% terrible, terrible. Right down in the first period, right off the bat, power play goal. I mean, they're right down there. I mean, Edmonton is 32nd at 62%. So and I mean, these are teams, I mean, well, Edmonton, but even Detroit, I'm not saying they should be elite. Yeah, you know, top five, but the penalty killing does it, you know, it changes the game to be buttoned up and, and the flow said it. I just want to briefly, you know, I'm not trying to brag or anything, but Nashville, surprisingly, is got the first, they're actually tied for number one pelican with Dallas at 93%. They, but they, you know, so I guess what I'm trying to say on a penalty killing just comes on to defense and that spills over into five on five plays. So I don't know as far as Detroit, how they fix their defense, you know, obviously, if they can concert in their defensive game first, it might fix the pelican or do you fix the pelican and then that'll spill over, right? Because I don't know which one is, you know, I'm not sure as far as they're taking ponies, they're good penalties, bad ponies, you know, obviously prime principles. Yeah, I mean, I mean, the penalties are taken. They're not like, they're not like flagrant or blatant, you know, you got there. I mean, it could be more disciplined, obviously, because you're getting penalties on it. But like Larkin got a hooking penalty when McDavid gave the old chicken wing on the on the stick. I hate that call in any capacity. I hate it even more when it's my team being affected by it. But, you know, at the end of the day, you're right, they got to cut down in the penalties. I mean, that's that's Detroit took four penalties and they gave up a penalty or a power play goal. And it's just they needed to take care of that. You know, it was nice to see Raymond get a nice shorthand of goal. I talked about him, you know, a couple episodes ago where he's just maturing. And I know he's only got one goal this season, but he's playing he's playing good hockey. And, you know, we need to recognize that as we watch him progress. And again, I know it's only one goal the season is still young. We're not going to hit the panic button. He got his nice payday. I think he's going to do well. I think this is the beginning tipping point for for Lucas Raymond. But yeah, to try drop this one five to three, you know, it's it wasn't it just what again, it wasn't a good game. They just defensively broke down on every aspect of it. But I'm not gonna sit here and beat that to death because we've got another game to go over. And, you know, this is the the second of the back to back for Detroit. And that was against Edmonton. And this one, I actually thought to try played a pretty decent game. I think that, you know, again, they still haven't broken that 30 shots on goal in the last, you know, several games or 26 this game. But, you know, I think Detroit played a pretty good game. I mean, McDavid didn't even he didn't even have a shot on goal for the first period and a half. I think Larkin just he shut him down. And that's why the frustration that chicken wing and stuff like that, you know, I just, I think that Detroit played a good game against, you know, arguably a very good team. I know Edmonton is having their struggles, but it's Edmonton. They're not going anywhere. They've got two of the best hockey players on the earth on their team. And they're just going to get started. I mean, they're their team, you got to kind of watch out for it. But I was I was impressed. He tried kept up with them. They skated with them. They played with them. You know, they met, you know, Corey Perry decided to drop the gloves against Joe Valeno. I think, you know, Valeno held his own. Valeno laid a big hit. And it was one of those like it was a legal hit. No penalty. No league hearings. Nothing. It was a good, good solid hit. And Corey Perry took exception to it the next time they were on the ice and Joe answered the bell. And I thought he did okay. But again, you know, Detroit got a point out of this game. So we got to be happy about that. It just thinks that the overtime goal happened so quick. And it was on dry side of his birthday and dry side. The, you know, he gets the victory on that. But you know, put a fork in him. The game was over. Detroit's got to find a way to, you know, they got to dig down. I mean, now it's about passion with these teams. And you know, I know, I know it's an early season. And we've, we've talked about this D law. But at some point, when you're, when you're having a mediocre at best season to date, you got to have some kind of a gut check at some point because the fundamental parts of hockey are just not happening. And I said this last year, several times that they just look sloppy. The fundamentals aren't there. And I've seen a lot of that. And I haven't commented too much because I don't want to be too critical and alone and get into the whole coaching problem thing. And I'm not going to now either. That's, you know, we'll see what happens because it's too early. But these guys need a gut check. They need to come out and play. I mean, if they play like they did against Edmonton, I'm okay with that. I'm okay. They're not going to win 82 games. Like that just doesn't happen. This is a game that I want to lose if I'm going to lose one. But no offense losing to Buffalo the way that they lost the Buffalo. Not good. They looked terrible out there. And, you know, they, they played well against Nashville. Nashville's still trying to find their groove. But now it's all about the mentality. It's about getting that mental fortitude and just going out and doing the fundamentals of hockey and creating more opportunities for yourself. No more turnovers. I mean, Ed Vinson had had a perfect opportunity to shoot a couple of times in the last few games. And he goes and looks for the past. Like we just have to make smarter decisions. We're scoring when we're putting the puck on net. So put the puck on net. We're making it happen. But we'll move on. I just, you know, with with Detroit, I just think that, you know, we just, we got to see what happens the next next few weeks before we can really place any type of real judgment on the team. And you mentioned, you know, Nashville, they're starting to find their way. And I think, you know, they're as far as they're, they're, I guess, they're getting back their identity. This is the last year as far as the relentless aspect of it. And, you know, they'll just, you know, get in the loose pucks for us and hitting and just, you know, relentless. And, and I guess, you know, falling behind two nothing and, and, and, and coming back, you know, in games, you know, that's, you know, showing their relentless. And, and I think once they clean up the first part of their games where they don't fall behind and connect to get leads, I think you'll really start to see them come out and, and be the team that we all, at least I thought was going to be in the first part of this season. And I, we, we just talked about the penalty killing, you know, got to take that on a flip side. And as far as the power play, you know, the preds, they have the fourth most opportunities. So that's, that's, that, you know, take that into account. They are 18th at 18.2%. So they're struggling a little bit. They got six power play goals and 33 opportunities, which is the fourth most. I mean, I guess that tells you right there. They're calling a lot of penalties. O'Reilly's only got two, and then you got fours, Bert Marge, so Shay and Stan called each with one. Please, Sam Coas, I think was that obviously that he's only got the one goal. So that, that was in the Detroit game. And then Shay just scored. I believe it was Chicago game. I think it was one of those, well, it was just recently. So, um, and as far as Detroit, they are 17th at 18.5%. They are the 20th most. And they had the 20th most opportunities and they got 27 opportunities on the power play. So, I mean, 33 opportunities for Nashville 27. That's really not that close. But from then, then, you know, Nashville's fourth most, Detroit's 20 most. So I would say there's a lot of penalties being called so far as here. I don't know just really any, any, you know, rules as far as, you know, I think they're, maybe they're just calling it closer. The only one really that would affect was the delay game. I believe that was different on the noon, the newest rule. And I haven't seen that at all. So I just seems like they're calling a lot more penalties so far in this early part of the season. Yeah, I mean, that, you know, I personally haven't seen, like when you say the stats, I hear it, but I haven't really seen a change in like game flow of the games. Um, you know, like, it's not like football, I feel, where every other play sometimes back-to-back plays are being flagged. But yeah, I mean, overall, our two teams need to figure that out regardless of what the numbers are, like they just have to figure that out. Yeah, but if you're always killing a penalty or on the power play, you know, it's, it doesn't leave any flow. Like if you, if you're playing, you know, getting the more, you know, the even falls, even five on five, and it gets all, you know, all four lines in because obviously, power plant, you know, it's the top be usually the top two lines or, or, or pellet killers. So there's players in our, I don't know. It's very different. I don't know how Nashville does it, but Detroit does not have like, oh, the first line goes out for the power play. They have an actual power play. Yeah. Well, the Prettas power play line is basically, you know, Marcheso and Stan Colis and Shay, I don't think she's on that one. You'll see Forzberg O'Reilly. And so you got the top five. Well, they did. Forzberg O'Reilly and Nyquist been a line now for last three games. But I mean, it's, they're top players. And I mean, you got, you know, the Prettas, third and fourth lines, I mentioned last show that they're the ones who scored up until the Columbus game and, and Tampa Bay game. So, you know, those third, when you're killing penalties or, or on the par play, those third and fourth lines typically aren't on the power play. So, you know, they're sitting at the bench, depending on, you know, really, like I mentioned, oh, they got the Prettas. I didn't get to stand on how many times they've been short-handed, but I don't think they've really been short that often. But when you're at their penalties, but, you know, they just, yeah, you just, you can't, and this goes for both teams. You can't get into a flow when, when there's a lot of penalties being called. But yeah, that's all I wanted to cover on that one. Okay. But, you know, the, uh, I, you know, you had mentioned Nico Heesher had scored against the treble. He was, well, he's leading, he's leading the inch out with nine goals. So, I mean, you know, he's on fire. And, you know, and Alex Iron is fourth in the league and goes against at two or five. So, you know, that's, you know, right there that's showing you that they're relying on him. Like I mentioned, the last show that, you know, they need to really help clean it up a little bit and not rely on him so much. I mean, I know he's on a high streak right now, but he's, you know, eventually kind of cool. And not nothing gets him or the wettering red wings, but, you know, he's eventually got a little cool down a little bit. And if they don't clean up their act, you know, they're going to end up, you know, couldn't be in a losing streak, you know, but so right now is the time to fix it. But it looks like there really hasn't been much news, uh, seem to cave from the lease. He signed a five year, 22 and a half million dollar deal. I don't like it. You know how I feel about those. I don't like it. And I'm here in rumors, uh, stamp or not stankos. Just Durkin wants what, uh, like more than $12 million a year. I don't, that's what it amounts to. I can't remember the exact figures, but as far as that's like McDavid money. And I just don't think that he, you know, he should get that $12 million. So I mean, a year, I mean, he may be a good goaltender, but I don't think he's as good as Lundquist. Maybe he is, but, you know, that's the Rangers and I'm sure the range will give them the money. So we'll see how that deal with how that goes during the season. You know, if they, you know, when they went and if they signed them could, you know, they might wait till the end of the season, who knows, but well, it's, they're ongoing negotiations. So I've actually had a couple goals tonight against the Rangers as we speak. And he, so that puts him at eight, uh, eight 57. He's somebody has, yeah, those kind of those two goals tonight. So maybe that would give him sparked. I don't think they were part of my goals, even strength goals. Yeah, they were, they were not part of my goals. So they're even sort of goals. So we'll see if he can, you know, get hot and start scoring some goals and maybe he can break the season. Who knows, because I don't think he's got too many years left. Ellen, be surprised to see him retire. If, if you, when he breaks it, I haven't heard if, you know, if he is any retirement talks, it was going to be, you know, this year or next year, I really, you're heard anything. So I'm thinking he's kind of waiting to see where he stands with the record, which I know he's done everything else. He's got cops and he's got how many other records. So, yeah, who knows? I mean, only time will tell. Uh, his first five. Do it. Yeah, if he gets high, he might even do it this year. He's what? 37 now behind the record. So what I say last, last show, he had 30. What do you have last year? I said last, last show, what he had last year, 32 or so like that or 42, maybe he's going down, but you know, 37. And he's only got what four goals and I was a season or three, four probably. So I'm not sure. So he's, so you know, 37 goals is very attainable for him, especially if he can get hot. So as far as there's no suspensions. The only one is that's new is Darlene from the Savers. He was fined for high city, not suspended, just fine. $5,000 seems like the, the, the, the fine, the going, the going fine for, for these now, because I think the, the fine we talked about last show was $5,000. So seems like that's the magical number this season. It was I sticking against Anton Lundau on Monday night. That was last night is recording. And it was a accessibility for slashing, but it was a high sticking gold figure. I don't know. I can't understand these NFL or NHL penalty was for slashing, but it was a high sticking fine. So I don't, well, I wasn't a high sink penalty. I don't know. I, I guess it doesn't mean all comes down to a penalty. Doesn't matter what it's called. It's, they're both are all two minutes. That's it for the fine just suspensions. There is, there is a big injury as far as all I think there was really one. So that could be, I don't know how long he's going to be out. Connor McDavid. I saw this video just a few minutes ago. Happened against Columbus. It didn't look all that bad, really. I mean, he kind of fell on the boards, but it didn't look like he really, I think it might have been as far, um, look, maybe think his foot kind of turned as he went down. He didn't, he didn't get pushed or nothing. That I could see. So it really didn't look all that harmless. And as it shows you that anyone can get injured at any play, he didn't have to get hit. And I just, and I only, I can think of his, his foot must have turned and because he got up and he was skating around and then all of a sudden he left his foot and he couldn't put any weight on it. And that was early in the game of fractions for the first chef. So I don't know how long he's going to be out. Um, it's good news for the predators because he just said that, I mean, what I've, what I've read and what I've followed with it so far is just that it's, uh, looks like it's probably just like a sprained ankle. So it's good, it's good news for, for Nashville because I mean, I'll be seeing in this case that people I won't miss much time. Um, and it just, it's, it's good news for Nashville that it just happened, uh, now because he could be playing Thursday night. Uh, but, you know, the National Cup play Edmonton and Thursday will be getting into a few minutes, uh, with our picks. But, um, so, you know, if he's not playing that, it makes it that much easier for, for Nashville. He's, uh, he's not going to be out long. Yeah, I, that's why I don't think, I mean, he might not be out, uh, because you know, this happened Monday night, I believe was the last night's game Monday night. And Tuesday, Wednesday, two days of rest, I don't think they're playing. They are not playing ones. Yeah. So the next game is against Nashville. So he, you know, a couple days off. I mean, obviously he, you know, was he didn't, he didn't come back in that game last night. He could very well play in that game Thursday. Maybe the old roster, you know, they, you know, I, you know, being early in the season. Um, they might just pull, hold them out for a game just for classroom reasons. So it, so it just so he doesn't injure it worse and then lose two or three weeks or more. So, I mean, then again, me, you know, maybe I don't want to speculate, but I just, you know, well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see on Thursday what he plays or not. Um, so it's one of those probably game time decisions. You got a couple that didn't look that bad. So I, I don't think it's, it's not, you know, not, not serious. And the guy, that's the only injury that I really see seen. So I don't think he'll be fine. So, you know, it's kind of, kind of, uh, it's been kind of slow as far as that, which, which is good. You know, not seeing a lot of injuries and that's, that's a good sign for the league, that there's not a lot of injuries. I mean, obviously it's early to, you know, as this great season ramps up, I think it's more physical and having, you know, you might start seeing more injuries in February and March. So, you know, it happens at any time, just wait and see. And so that's, you know, that's pretty much all the news I got, you know, we're now what 10 games. Well, we're about, uh, yeah, 10, 10, 11 games and Detroit's nine games in, predators are nine games in. So this is, you know, most teams 10, 10 levels all kind of get a good feel. I think we can, you know, I know the NHL, they've, they've been doing their super 16 stuff pretty much since the start. So I think this would be a good time to just to kick up our pred wings 10. Um, I got, you know, I mean, I was just probably going to change week to week. Um, but my, I have a hard time giving 10. I mean, we're, how many games in? We're 10 about this this afternoon, 10 games in. I mean, it's out of 82. To me, it's still so early to tell because right now I would have the predators not like non-existent. But we just don't think that's fair. Well, we're, you know, we're, we're starting to see things develop and and stuff like that. And so, you know, I got, you know, I got one of Peggy on top because they're, you know, they've kind of slowed down a little bit. They just lost. Um, there was Toronto, I believe was a game. The first they were on a game wing streak. Yeah. I mean, they're number one. So, you know, I had to be up there too, right? Florida has been struggling, but I got them at two, just because they're, you know, they're, they're sitting at, uh, you know, top of the Easter Cup was at 15 points. Uh, they're, they're coming out of 13 and winning streak. So they're, they're starting to find their identity back and, and then I got New Jersey. They've been, they've been off to a hot start. Uh, they're, they're leading their division, which I believe last year they were telling at the bottom, I think. And then I got Tampa Bay. There's, there's starting to kick it up. Uh, they're right behind Florida coming off that one against Nashville. And then they got Vegas at fifth. They're okay. I mean, they're, they're sitting on top of their division, but all seven of their wins are at home. And they haven't went able to win on a row. So they're a home team. So, you know, as, as they go on the road was, they went dry, you know, they, they might be one of these home, home teams. So, uh, and then they got Dallas. They're, they're always at the top. Um, they, you know, they got two losses and they didn't look all that good in those two losses, but you know, they, they're, they're in our team. They're, they're five and all in their home building. Um, and the thing with the Jets is they're four and all on the road and a lot of teams, you know, a lot of teams aren't able to win on the road yet. I think Minnesota and Carolina are the only other teams. They're like over five wins on the road, other, you know, Florida as well. But, and then I got, uh, the Kings Carolina. Uh, I got, I had to put Minnesota in there and, you know, they're, as you mentioned, they're, they're one of the teams or, or a road team, which, you know, you got to win on the road. That's why I'm thinking Vegas were playing or dropping unless they could start winning on the road. And then I did put Utah 10th. I would have had them higher, but they, you know, they had a high start, then they, you know, they, they're dropped to, there are 500 right now, four and four. As far as I, you know, they're 10th right now, but they would have been higher if they didn't drop. And I didn't put, you know, but the team of the week is Colorado, otherwise they would be in there. They had, but because they had the own four start and, you know, since, since that old four star, they've won five games now. So they're, you know, they're finding their way and, you know, that's, that's just why I, I did my, my 10 this week because all those, most of those teams that I put in, they're fighting their way. They struggled. I mean, Utah's going the opposite way, but as far as, I mean, Winnipeg just, I don't, you know, they just got the one loss. But, you know, like Florida, they kind of struggled a little bit early. And the Kings and Carolina. I think, see, if I'm going, I'm, I'm just going to go by what their standings are right now. Because like I said, it's too early. You haven't had enough injuries. I mean, right now Edmonton, what are they ranked? So they're 26. Now, if this injury to McDavid, like hypothetical, last, you know, months, or he's placed on long term IR, you know, that could, that's going to change my thoughts about Edmonton, even if they were the first number one team in the league. But, you know, I'm just, I'm looking at the standings and, you know, that's, that's what I can base on at this point in the juncture. So I'm going to go Winnipeg, Vegas, Florida, Dallas, you know, those are, you know, Minnesota. New Jersey jumping in their surprises me a little bit, the Rangers, capitals, Carolina and Tampa Bay. I mean, these are all teams that I would have figured would have been doing a good season. And this is going to change for me as the season progresses. Just for me personally, I'm, I don't like to jump the gun. I'm not a person that likes to, you know, like I'll, I'll make some predictions. But I don't like to, I'm not ready to start, you know, giving teams ranks on where we're at at this point in the season. I mean, there's just too much to go. Because like I said, Nashville is going to find their way, but when? But, you know, how about, I'll do this next week, I will have a wholehearted, I will actually, you know, try to dig deep and look at every angle and come up with something different. But I mean, how can you not have Winnipeg at the top? I just, you know, they're playing incredible hockey right now. And will it continue? Who knows? But we're, you know, they're nine games in, and they've only lost once. That's pretty darn good. But yeah, this is going to be a rotating list. There's no doubt about it. But that's, that's where I'm at right now. I'm staying put with that. I'm following just the standings at this point until things start to develop. Yeah, I think even last year's predatory setup was pretty much rotating. There was tour, probably two or three teams who are pretty much in there solidly, you know, the top teams. But I think for the most part, I didn't really keep a close tab on it, but I bet there's almost, I'd say probably half the half the league was in our 10 at one time, other in the bottom. So it's always going to be rotating in and out, except for those couple two or three teams. So, you know, and we'll just, it's just a gauge to see, you know, pretty much week to week is basically what it's, you know, who's hot this week or whatever, or two weeks. So, but as far as our weekly picks, let's see. The, was it Chicago? Chicago, we both, we both got my, just first in Nashville, we both got Chicago, right? And we both got Columbus, right? And I got the same egg, right? And you got that wrong, because I, I had picked a loss. So I got a three game wing street going for them. It's on the wing side. I have a six game wins. Well, I guess you can go six. I got a streak of six going after the fall and three. New Jersey, we were both right at home. We're both right at New Jersey, Buffalo and Edmonton. So you're four in a row right on the wings and I'm six in a row. So we're back to it. We're tied on the wings at six and three. You're edged me on the predator side, six, three, and I'm five and four. So that leads us into coming games. So like I mentioned, predators have Edmonton coming. I think they're going to win. I picked, I picked a win. I'm still going to go to win. Even, even if McDavid does come back, it does play. It's in Nashville. I'm just going to go with a win. And then Colorado is, I'm going to go with a loss, Colorado's playing different. Like I said, they started bad and a five game win streak and Nashville's as a blade, really playing Colorado, bad, tough. And then let's see. I think they can win that game. I'm going to the win on that one. And then I guess the Kings is the fourth. So the Kings. I'm going on the wind as well. And I think that's, that's it. We should be recording next week if everything goes right. So then that moves us over to Detroit, I believe 1030 game. When a peg, it's got Winnipeg. I know last show, you said that you felt that that was going to be a game that Detroit could just, you know, they were going to pull off and shock the world. And I'm, I'm going opposite of that. I'm going with, with a loss. I think they're going to lose to Minnesota. I don't think it's even going to be worse. I'm going to go with a win, like I mentioned, just because, you know, I know when the pegs, they just lost the game, gets Toronto, but, you know, they're seven and all. And, you know, I, and they're, they're in Detroit and Detroit had, you know, they're, like I said, they might have to rely on line again in this game. But I think, well, they had a few days off. So I wouldn't be, out, I would have to go, well, I don't know who their number one is or do they have not, they don't really have a clear cut number one. No, they don't. I would say light is in their moment right now. It's what you've been playing. It's playing. Well, I mean, Talbot. Yeah, I mean, we also have, you know, coming up, we've got Buffalo into Detroit. So I am going with a win on that one. We just lost a Buffalo. I think this is redemption. I think we're going to, you know, write the right, the ship, circle the wagons. But I think I think Buffalo likes to circle the wagons, I guess. I said that. I don't know where they came. Oh, I think that was the guy from ESPN, the start of that. But I'm going to go with a loss just because I don't know. They just don't seem to, it's like, it's like Nashville is Colorado. Detroit and Buffalo, they just don't seem that, you know, right now, Buffalo seems to have their way with them until they can figure that out. And I think, so you only have two games this coming week. Yeah, boring week for me, you know. And that's about it for the picks for this week. And that's about it for the show. I don't have anything more. No, like I said, the season's still ramping up. We don't have too many injuries that are playing a factor in different games. We don't have, you know, a lot of suspensions or fines that we can talk about and break down. So yeah, it's just, you know, we're watching his casual fans right now with a little bit of extra passion.
