Mini Reviews, as well as early access to both movie chronicles and movie reviews. Now on with the show. Welcome everyone to The Powell Bros. Movie Chronicles, where we chronicle for you everything going on in the world of pop culture and entertainment and do so from a Christian biblical worldview because we see the world as it is and how it should be. And pop culture and entertainment and movies and film fall into that world and we want to see it in the right light. Be discerning and careful in how we interpret things, what we consume, what we watch, and the stories that we then tell. I am one of your hosts, Trent Powell. And with my other host, Dubai Paul, Dubai, how are you doing? Doing good. Yeah, I'm excited about this one. Yeah, yeah. It's always fun. It sure is. So do you have, do you have a, would you say you have a lot of stuff that you've found going on? Not really, actually. Yeah. I mean, we could talk, I could talk more about Agatha and Rings of Power and Well, I kind of want to talk, I want to kind of want to talk indie this time. There's actually a handful of indie movies in theaters right now. I don't know if you know that. I think there's, I think there's like at least five and I kind of want to run through them and just talk about why they just, most of them aren't good. Oh, okay, kind of just run through all that, but I did hear, speaking of acolyte. So what's with them lying, did they lie about their budget for the show or what? I don't know, I mean, you never know if it, like they lied about it, but the final kind of reporting on the budget after all is said and done. It comes out to be 250, 300 million, could possibly be 300 million, which is insane. So I guess they didn't, that's probably what they generally thought, but they might have been keeping some things under the table like all their money laundering and whatnot. Yeah. And then because they have to report these things for taxes, for shareholders, I think, but they have to report these things. So it was finally reported and guess what? They spent over 200 million dollars on a garbage TV show with, well, you know, what do they do? They hire Harvey Weinstein's former personal assistant, Leslie Hadlin, who has, who had done pretty much nothing of worth as far as or anything of good quality. I don't know, in film, she made a documentary, I think. She'd worked on a few projects here and there, but had never been like given this big of a project to do. And like, hey, here's over 200 million dollars. Have fun. And of course, she's a big activist for the LGBTQ rights and her, she's queer. So she wanted to wanted her queer identity to be in this show. And it was, it was the gayest Star Wars show ever. That's going to be stuck in my head forever, I swear. That's all. Anyways, the gayest, it, yeah. So 200, whatever million dollars and how much money do they give Obi-Wan Kenobi? It was 100 something, right? It was like 80, maybe it was like 80 to 100 million dollars. Yeah. For Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of, if not the most popular and most beloved characters in all of Star Wars. But because he's a white heterosexual cis-gendered man, I don't even know what cis-gendered means anymore. I think it just means, yeah, you're whatever you're born as. Anyways, because he's a white masculine character, man, that they had to, of course, butcher and ruin. Oh, and also Darth Vader, they had to completely ruin and butcher him and let little Weaver best him and show him who's boss and go behind his back and whatnot. I mean, he did beat her, sure. Oh, no, no, no, no, he stabbed her for the second time in his life. For the second time, he stabs her with a lightsaber through the gut and she survives where she is. It's black girl magic right there. Speaking of black girl magic, did you hear that Riri Williams is going to be confirmed as bisexual and Ironheart? Really? Oh, my gosh, the thing, I can't believe they're making that. I know. You know, it's funny. She was like 18 when they filmed it and I think she's going to be probably like in like her 30s by the time they found out. I know. What in the world? Yeah, for sure. She's going to weigh her characters bisexual? Yeah, of course, why not? Yeah. Well, I think she is like in the comics, but probably. A lot of the so many of the new Marvel characters and they're like, "Well, it's a character from the comics." It's like, "Okay, well, the comics can be gay, lame, and dumb as well." A lot of the newer Marvel comics are gay, lame, and dumb. Yeah. So, so you and I both found out what this week that, what's his name, the guy that directed the point dynamite? Jared Hess. Jared Hess is directing the Minecraft movie. Well, that's crazy. I know. It's like, "Okay, am I interested now?" Maybe. Yeah. But not really. I mean, he hasn't really done much of worth as of late, so I don't, I don't know. Yeah. Well, he hasn't really done anything, Hattie, for a little while. He's done a few projects here and there. A lot of stuff. But it kind of, kind of feel like he's selling out at that point where he, what's he doing in Minecraft? I don't know. I mean, it's the big studio. This indie film director got his start making indie films with their little budgets, is now making a multi-million dollar movie based on one of the biggest game franchises of all time. Like, okay. Yeah. I was, I was shocked. I was like, I, I didn't, yeah, I couldn't believe that. I think he did like a legendary entertainment. I don't know. Oh, okay. I don't know what else I've done. I feel like animated stuff. I think. Oh, okay. Yeah. Which makes sense. Dude, I, we need to watch Gentleman Broncos. Yeah. I mean, that's gonna be so good. I want to watch it. We need to review it. We need to review it on Chronicles. Yeah. Or at least talk about it on Chronicles. I mean, we gotta do it. Yeah. I mean, oh, it's so funny. It's just brilliant. Like the Bulling Dynamite Brilliant, but in like a different way and it's so good. Yeah. We'd had someone recommend that on one of our TikToks. Oh, really? Like you should, you should do Gentleman Broncos. It's like, that's funny. Maybe. Yeah. So we should definitely do that. Give light to one of Jared Hess's best films that's not very popular or well known. He's only done one. He's only done two other movies since Gentleman Broncos. Oh, wow. So he's done, Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre, Gentleman Broncos. Then he did Don Verdeen, which I'd never heard of that one. And then he did Master Minds that same year, which I've heard of that one, and I've seen Master Minds. Oh, yeah. It's a pretty funny movie. But then it's just been TV series and mini series and so probably just one or two help episodes. Oh, Gentleman Broncos Command 10 is nine. Okay. So that's more than he did. This year he did a movie, Thelma the Unicorn. Yeah. The Netflix movie, yeah. That's what's animated. Yeah. And then he's got three movies in the works right now. So he definitely took a break. I mean, he, Gentleman Broncos, he took six years before he did those other two movies. And then it was, I mean, just the TV series. I mean, his timeline is pretty scattered, so yeah, I don't know. It's interesting, very anyway. So yeah, a lot of these indie movies, in theaters, do you have anything else on that? Nah. Not really. Did you have anything else you want to talk about? Oh, a couple of small things. Let me just go over those. Well, so those guys, nice to see you. So you remember the Rugrats? Did you watch the Rugrats much? I watched it a little bit. Yeah. Not me a little bit. As a kid. I think our mom didn't want us watching it, which makes sense. I don't think I want my kids watching it. Yeah. I don't know. All those older cartoons are just better. They're still better than what we have today. They're doing a, so get, did you hear about this? I think I saw something about Rugrats, but those kind of skipped over. They're doing a live action Rugrats with CGI animated Rugrats in the film. So it's all live action, but the Rugrats are going to be CGI. That's so awful. Oh, the baby's. It's going to be nightmare fuel. It's going to be so weird. That's going to be worse than Minecraft. Way worse than Minecraft. Yeah. I'm just, I was waiting. You know how like SpongeBob animation is like progressed to what it is, which I absolutely abhor it, the new animation that they do, which is not what they used to do. I don't even know. It's like 3D animation now, I guess, which I kind of understand, but I just don't like it. They're probably going to like, well, it's just in the movies that they did that. No, I think they all, I think the TV bar, wait, well, did they stop doing the mainline TV show? I think so. But they have other shows and like, they do a lot of prequel series and like spin-offs and stuff. Interesting. But I think everything SpongeBob is now the 3D animation here. But sorry, my point is they're probably going to progress to like do live action SpongeBob. But with, wait, wait, wait, no, they did that with the SpongeBob movie. I forgot about that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, like interacting with live action things, which I guess in the show there's a lot of live action works, but when it's babies that's, yeah, no, like, are they going to see G.I. them to look like Rugrats or are they going to be like so? So it's going to be like the sponge, they're going to look like the SpongeBob characters kind of like that same kind of cause that's more animation than C.G.I. Well, no, I mean, it's going to be like, I guess that's probably, well, I'm trying to think what what modern examples would there be like, I'm thinking of the if the imaginary friends movie where it's like CGI, CGI characters interacting with human characters. Yeah, but they're not human characters. Well, no, they're babies, but the babies will interact with humans. Yeah, I know, but the babies, then they themselves are humans. So why are they interacting with other humans and not being humans themselves? Yeah, it's dumb. Just put real babies in, just make them look like real babies. How would that work? Just make them look like CGI them to look like real babies. What? Oh, what? I guess, so just be talking babies, yeah, I don't know. Oh, that'll work, but maybe yeah, the other thing, you see that Nicholas Cage has started filming his spider noir. Is it spider man noir or just spider noir TV show? That's cool. I'm excited about that. That's going to be fun. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. It'll probably be garbage, but we'll see. Well, it's going to be it's going to be the same animation as the show, the movies. Good question. I guess in my head, I was thinking live action, but I can't remember. For some reason, I think I've had live action in my head too, like it might have been, but I don't know. That seems too good to be true. Yeah, it's live action. Interesting. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that yeah, that's interesting. Yeah. Yeah, so it's I mean, Nicholas Cage as spider noir. So I wonder if they're going to if they're going to film it like an old, like, like Wanda vision, remember, like when they have the black and white, like I wonder if they're going to film it like that, like, as if it's it's it's going to be a noir. I know it's going to be in black and white, but I wonder if it's going to be like like this is like like they're going to model it after like the the way they take shots and all that like it's going to be modeled after how movies and stuff are filmed back then as well. I think so. Because like that's kind of what they did with the animated one where when he's at least when he's interacting and we have shots of his world. So it's it's yeah, it's kind of a feel. But I just saw that there's there was a a set photo leaked of Nicholas Cage in a trench coat. Oh, cool. So it's kind of cool. You'll you'll find that. That's super cool. Yeah. Yeah. Kind of wishes. Just a movie but whatever. Yeah. I don't know. Like Nicholas Cage in a TV show has he ever done a TV show? I mean, it's probably just like a mini series, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, probably it probably will be a mini series. It's like a huge hit. Yeah. I hope it's like a detective story to yeah, that'd be awesome. What I think it would be. I think that's what Spareman noir is like. I think that's his character. Like that's what he does. Yeah. It's he's a detective. Okay. I think you're right. But yeah. Cool. Yeah. That sounds fun. Yeah. So and then one more thing kind of continuing I guess, you know, piggybacking off of Spiderman talking about Spiderman. So they're the the purse, the actor for Noel, the villain of Venom three has supposedly leaked. Now, I don't know if this is true, if this is accurate, but there's been a lot of rumors like Daryl, what's a walking dead guy, Norman Reedus. I mean, that's his name, right? Norman Reedus. Is that who plays? Is that who's playing? No. No, no, no. So that was a rumor. Uh-huh. That one, uh, Keanu Reeves was another rumor of like, who's playing him? Yes. Because we don't know what you're talking about. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. Yeah. Because they've not like officially announced who's playing it. Yeah. Even in the movie coming up. Yeah. But supposedly and apparently and this actually makes a lot of sense in more more ways than than one. Supposedly. I don't know, like, I literally watched a YouTube video of this, of a guy who leaked it. And so I don't even know if it's legit, but it's from a legit source that does get a lot of things, right? Apparently, Andy Serkis is going to be playing, no. Makes sense because he directed the second one. He's obviously involved in this universe. He I don't know if he did mocap for Venom, I think so. Might have. Yeah. Um, he, he let it be a perfect villain because they probably do CGI sort of like, you know, like it was like snow cause for example, he played snow and he has the voice for it. He, you know, it where it's like very sinister and evil, you know, even think of snow, like say what you will about, about, about Snoke and that trilogy, which was absolutely awful. Um, Snoke was like a cool character, like he, like, they could have done a lot of good things with it, but they threw him, threw him in the garbage. They cut him off and threw him away. But the voice is like perfect. And everything. So I'm just thinking of like a sinister villain. I think that could be good as an all. So we'll find out. We have like two weeks, I think, until it ends up. Yeah. Two or three, by three, three weeks. Yeah. And end of October, three or four, um, yeah, whatever that is. Yeah. So, yeah, um, I, I would love it. If that's it, like, if there was anyone I would choose, I would definitely be guy to play like a big villain going forward. That'd be cool. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. Yeah. Yeah, I'm interested in seeing that. I'm very curious what their plans are, what their ideas are for this. Yeah. I just want to know what to do. Well, apparently he's going to be like the, oh, well, in the other rumors, Andrew Garfield is going to be in Spider-Man 4. So, um, interesting, and like play a big role. Well, yeah, and Venom's supposed to be like the villain, and he, you know, Spider-Man's going to get his black suit, is what's been talked about. Yeah. So we shall see. All right. Indie films and theaters. Yeah. Would you say it was, is Megalopolis on that list? That's kind of an indie film. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, indie just is in like, not attached to any universes or anything like that. So just working down the line with, so we got the animated movie, The Wild Robot, it's where pockets are stranded on an island and talks with animals and makes friends with animals. Also. But yeah. So. I don't know much about this one. So the director from what I've heard used to work for Disney and he was going to let go or left because of great differences and he went in and made this and it's gained a lot of hype and it's like, yeah, like on like an emotional level. It's like one of the best of people are saying one of the best anime movies. Once movies like this come out, people say that like people are saying, "Dune part two" was the greatest movie of all time. And that definitely died off after. But still like a good movie, you get a lot of hype. So this is like, people are saying, "This is the greatest animated film of all time." It's like, okay, well, let's give it a couple of months. I'm going to see it eventually. I just don't, whenever I can, I'm going to vacation. But when I can, I want to see it because I've heard a lot of good things about it. So. Yeah. An animation, which is cool. Mm-hmm. It's kind of like an iron giant level type of a film. I mean, it's kind of like iron giant, which we'll be reviewing on our movie reviews channel. Yep. So, I'm interested. Yeah. And yeah, keep an eye out for a mini review of the Wild Robot, a handful of the, well, not a handful of these, the, well, like Venom will probably do a mini review, Joker will do a mini review, Wild Robot probably. I think there's some others that are coming out, I can't remember what they are now that I want to see and I'll probably do reviews on. But yeah. Head over to our Patreon there to support us and, um, we have lots of mini reviews there. And if you ever want a movie that you, if there's ever a movie that you want us to review, we do that as well. Let's just let us know. Yeah. So the Wild Robot, that's one of the ones I didn't know much about, uh, Megalopolis. I'm pretty sure it's pretty much completely flopping. Um, it was a pretty high budget movie. This was made by the guy that made the Godfather. Yep. And those, um, but I know it's got nudity. So that's one reason it's not worth seeing and, yeah, I don't really know much about the story. It's kind of seems weird and confusing. Well, it's probably why a lot of other people weren't interested. The premise is what if the Roman Empire didn't fall? Mm. So what would the world be like? I don't know much about the plot, but I just know that's the premise. Yeah. I heard it's pretty awful. Yeah. It's just like terrible story and messy plot. Yeah. For sure. One that I'm wondering what you, if you've, uh, had an interest in seeing was speak no. I'll get to that one. I'll be pauses in a lot of things right now. She's in my office as well. Oh, really? Yeah. Sorry. We're, uh, speak no evil with, um, what's his name? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm gonna, I'm, I want to see that one. All right. That one looks good. I've been meaning to go see it. From what I've, I've not been, just not really anything bad that I've heard about it. Actually, I have to say that's what I'm seeing. So forget about that. I'll see. I'm gonna offer a little while, but yeah, but yeah, that one, that one actually does look good. Yeah. It did look good. Um, dang it. I wish I would have, I should have gone see it. It's fine. But Deadpool Wolverine is still my theater. Yeah, I know. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Uh, but yeah. My old ass, that one is in theaters. I really don't know what the plot is about. Kind of looks gay. Well, I saw a trailer for it months ago, and if I can remember properly, it, it's like a, um, it's a weird, like time travel premise where I think, yeah, yeah, cause the, the, her old self, the tagline is what would you ask your older self? Yeah. That's the premise. Yeah. Yeah. It works. So her older self has an opportunity to interact with her younger self. Yeah. There's that, which could be an interesting premise and I think could be, you could do it well, but I don't know how this movie is doing or anything about it, but yeah. Yeah. There's that. Yeah. Oh, the, the horror, another horror movie. It's all horror movies because of Halloween, but, uh, or I think it's just a thriller. The substance, it's got a Dennis Quaid in it. Yeah. But major nudity. Yeah. So definitely not worth seeing, I've not seen it, but yeah, what do you think of Dennis Quaid being in that, uh, it's weird, cause I, yeah, the whole, it's, it is a horror movie, but it's like a weird, it's a weird psychological horror movie where you wouldn't expect it to be horror, but it is, and yeah, it's, it's just weird premise. I don't know much about it other than that, but yeah, Dennis Quaid, he hasn't really done much I feel like in a while. So he's kind of just like popped up in like, yeah, Christian, Christian movies, just in like random roles. And like I'm sure he was in, he was probably in the, what was the, the one with Zachary Levi, which oh, we should talk about Zachary Levi in a second. Oh yeah. I totally forgot about that. Let's talk about that after. Okay. Um, so, uh, but the one with Zachary Levi, the football one where he's, who's he play? I know. Uh, the chargers or the Rams, it was the Rams. What? No, what character does he play? I don't know. I mean, it was a football player. Who's the football player? Who's the football player? No. Zachary Levi, I never played for any team. No, in the movie, he plays for a football team in the movie. I can't remember what it's called, so I can't look to where it is. Um, I know what, I know what you're talking about. I don't know. Um, whatever. I'm gonna look it up real quick. I got it. American underdog played for the Rams. Right. Number 13. Uh, oh, I'm an idiot. Uh, Kurt Warner. Kurt Warner. I'm an idiot because I'm a Cardinals fan and I love Kurt, Kurt Warner is one of my favorite quarterbacks ever. I mean, I was saying he's like the best ever, but he's just one of my favorites. Um, yeah, but yeah, it's about him. And yeah, you're right. Dennis Quaid is in it. Yeah. I pretty much look up any Christian movie and this played is kind of he in it. Yeah. Like, I think he had a really small role, but I'm pretty sure he was in it. Then you have the substance, but I think he's a coach. So, anyways, then you have the substance. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. That's so weird. Very odd. Like he's usually in pretty clean movies. So don't go see it just because Dennis Quaid's in it. That's, that's what we're saying. Yeah. Um, all right. And then last one worth noting because everything else is just way too old at this point is am I racist? That's still in theaters. Yeah. Interesting. When the first came out, it was like, it was supposed to be my theater for like five days. And I'm like, all right, I got five days to see this movie. And then those five days go by, I'm like, dang it, I missed it. But I look it up. I'm like, it's on there still. Oh, it's on there for a week now. That week goes by and I'm like, dang it, I didn't see it again. I need to see it. And then I look and sure enough, it's like over a week now that it's supposed to be him. So as people keep going to see this movie and it's you and I have both seen it, I've seen it now. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I saw it Monday. I saw it on Monday and yeah, which you're going to do. You, you already did your mini review. I'll be posting it. I'll be posting it this Wednesday and quick overall thoughts would you like it? Yeah. It was funny. Yeah. It's brilliant. My favorite part of that movie, well, there's a lot of favorite parts, but it is the end. It's with his uncle, Uncle Frank. He pulls it. The fact that he's in a wheelchair just made it so much better and then they all start drill. Well, he's like yelling at him, drilling it, drilling into him and then pause and the left is weirdo in the, in the last to start saying F you and just like tearing into him this old man. He did. And I also love you didn't say a word the whole time. I know. And, and, and then Matt Walsh, Matt, Matt Walsh, I have Tim walls in my head. So the bait this week, Matt Walsh, he, he, that's like, I think that was the only time we were he broke character. Yeah. He, he was like, he was like, or maybe what the, the Josie's so, the Smollett, um, inner thing. I think he did. But anyways, um, but I think I was a little tired, like he's like, he has his hand and I was mild. Like he's like, they do not expect them to just drill into him like that. I mean, custom out anyways, I'm sorry. Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah. So one thing I want to know about that movie is that it's, it's more, it's more than just a documentary because they set it up as an actual story. Like it's like, it's set up with a story as if you were writing a script, like, yeah, totally, it's very much, uh, it's definitely more than just a documentary. It's like, if you're like, I don't want to watch a documentary, documentaries are boring. No, this is, it's got a story. Like it's. Mm hmm. Yeah. It's funny. Yeah. Definitely. Oh, the, the bookstore scene right here in Seattle, I honestly feel so bad for that lady. I don't know. Was that that before? Was that the, like, oh, can I, can I say this one? Can I say the title? This one. The N word. So bad. All right. All right. All right. Anything else related to any films? No. Yeah, everything else is either just never even heard of it or there's a movie called Devara, part one, Telugu. I don't know what that is. If you know what that is, I'm sorry. I hope you enjoyed it. No, that's everything. Back to future part two, 35th anniversary on October 19th. Yeah. I'll be there. Sorry. Yep. I love they're doing these anniversaries, films. Yeah. John Wick, 10th anniversary. Dude, there was a whiplash 10th anniversary. Nice. Yeah. That'd be fun to see in theaters. That would be so fun. I didn't go, but it's fine. Yeah. Um, so Jack, yeah, back on Zachary Levi. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Did you want to bring him back? Oh, yeah. Yeah. So Zachary Levi endorses Trump and everyone loses their minds and everybody loses their minds. Yeah. No, it's interesting. Yeah. How? Yeah. Because he was a big RFK supporter. Yeah. I was going to vote for him and everything. And then since he endorsed Trump and partnering with Trump, he's like, no, this is what we need for our country. This is the right way forward. And, yeah, he's, oh, you know, police said he supports and he's voting for Trump, you know, because we need to, we need to save this nation from the direction it's going in and everyone. Yeah. And of course, everyone just completely loses his mind that an actor has an opinion about his political views. But the problem is that they didn't align with everyone else's political views. You know, you had, you had, and it's so funny, the same week you have Dave Batista driving around in his 300 or $500,000 Rolls Royce and saying, oh, I'm, I'm voting for Kamala here. Check this out. I'm going to post a video of me going to vote for her. Oh my gosh. Yeah. It's so I care about, I care about the people of America. Clearly. I don't care about those hurting in this nation, so drive my almost million dollar car around. Yeah. Yeah. It's crazy that, I mean, they, they hate, hate anybody that has a different opinion. And then them. And you can't, well, he's, he's like been completely boycotted and, and if we talked about JK rolling much, I think we did towards the beginning of our show around that. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I saw a post, um, she got like a little death threat. Oh, yeah. It was after. Oh man, there's, there was a lot that's happened this week, Maggie Smith passed away. This is McGonagall. Oh yeah. I don't know who that is. Harry Potter. Okay. Okay. Yeah, Professor McGonagall, Maggie Smith. Yeah, she's passed away. That was a, that was a hard one. And I'll explain it. And it was a parent, I don't know if this was true, but I didn't see that it was a year after. It was at least really close, but it was like the day, a year exactly to the day after the actor for Dumbledore passed away. So that was pretty wild. And but, um, oh yeah. And so the post was, um, you know, October or September, whatever date, uh, 2023, uh, the actor for Dumbledore, um, September, whatever 2024, Maggie Smith, and then it said September, whatever 2025 JK rolling, prayer emoji. Oh my gosh. That's insane. It is. And it's okay. And what's so ridiculous is it's because she has one opinion, one single opinion that is different than theirs. They literally hate people, like the people that are racist, but people that are racist by their perspective about racism through their, um, Marxist understanding of racism. Yes. And well, yeah, and, but they, they think being racist is, deserves a death sentence. Yeah. Which it doesn't, like that's too much, calm down. Yeah. But I, I don't know if anyone listened to our show. So I'll, I'll decide. I'll probably end up cutting it out, but yeah, okay. It's crazy. Yeah. That's, that's funny. Um, but yeah, I think we should kind of wrap up with some time, just, I don't know, talk a little more about indie films and we can just wrap it up. Yeah. But I think what's interesting with a lot of those indie films, um, and the reason none of them are worth anything is, well, they're all pretty much all of them, except for maybe the couple that we mentioned, which is speak, no evil and the wild robot, the wild robot. Um, they are trying to either be, uh, they're either trying to push some sort, they're trying to push some sort of narrative, which would be like a leftist narrative of, I mean, there's a lot of nudity in them or there's gay or something and I mean, that's just why these, or they're just don't know how to tell a story, both probably most of the time, both. Because when you are pushing stuff in something, you're not just letting a story be a story than a story that in a way that stories are meant to be told. And then you end up getting just a jumbled mess that just does not work. Um, you know, maybe these, maybe with the nudity ones, maybe these perverts are just wanting to be on set with naked women because their lives just suck and they just want to be perverts. And so they're like, well, how can I make a movie with some nudity? Well, I could do this and I don't care if it sucks because I'm rich. Um, yeah, I'll, I'll pay women to undress in front of me and I'll, I know, video it. Yeah. Yeah. Or you just have these other miserable people that are, you know, everybody's gay and, and you, you know, you yourself are gay and you want to make sure everybody knows that you're gay because you feel so depressed. So let's make a movie about depressed gay people and push that and maybe that'll make me feel better. Yeah. Um, and that's most of what indie movies are right now. And, um, but horror movies, I mean, like you're always going on about horror movies and how great they are. And, um, I, so I think there's some, some, say, yeah, I, what, who's the guy that plays, who's the guy that's in speak no evil? What's his name? Uh, um, uh, James McAvoy, but James McAvoy. Yeah. Yeah. MacAvoy? Mac? James McAvoy? That's all I'm going to say. I don't know. I've always said it. MacAvoy. Um, okay. Uh, anyway, he's a phenomenal actor and he looks like he does a phenomenal performance in that movie. Definitely. So that looks fun. Uh, also very creepy and like the premise is, is great and sc, seems scary. Uh huh. It's a movie. I want to see that movie. Yeah. And I don't know that I will in theaters, but yeah. And I'll kind of correct you a little bit. I, I don't, I wouldn't say that horror movies are, are usually great at, well, or horror movies are usually not great, um, but they're doing something that they don't, I don't think people realize what they're doing, which does is good and what, what it exposes and what it shows and then how we perceive it and take it. People use horror for, I think in wrong ways, um, and people indulge in it in, in, in, in moral ways, in a sense. And usually you find nudity in horror movies oftentimes. I don't watch the ones, um, mostly slasher films. I hate slasher films, but like the premise of every, of every slasher film is a woman gets undressed, has sex with man, monster or guy in mass comes and kills both of them. And you, the audience don't feel sorry for them because you know they're being promiscuous. You know what they're doing is wrong. But instead of saying it, it's showing and it's kind of like the elephant in the room. No one wants to talk about it. And that's the horror of it is that it's there. You know what's wrong because you just slept with your girlfriend last night. You just were promiscuous with your boyfriend and not, but you get to see them go in and die in your place, go and be sacrificed for your sins. You projected upon them and people don't realize that that's what's happening, but that's why often they're drawn to these horror movies. That's why there's a gazillion Halloween films, there's a, the Halloween series, a gazillion Friday the 13th and every, every generation gets a new Friday the 13th and new iteration and new type of new version, where it's basically the same story just from more modern audiences. And, and you have all the other slasher films that I don't like slasher films for those reasons. Other horror movies like the Conjuring films, which I do like and the first Conjuring movie actually had a lot of Christians on the writing team and, or in the production and, and stuff. And we can talk about that in a day, but yeah, like, but I would say like 90% of horror movies I watch, I actually, I don't think are, are good, but I am interested in the concept of horror and what horrors, the purpose of horror and what it meant, what it's meant for. And the, and for what it exposes, like the alien films, I love the alien films for a lot of reasons. Those are horror movies, but it was also written by, or the, the director and, and writer of the first one, I think he had a, had a really dark path, had a lot of messed up things in his past and he project that upon the characters that he wrote. Um, the, the newest alien movie has a lot of like, um, birthing imagery, I guess, um, like there, there's literally a, like literally an alien comes out of a, a female, uh, genitalia monster looking thing that, uh, it's like an egg kind of, or no, the, the egg comes out of it, uh, is literally just plopped into this, into this ship, getting completely off track, it's really weird. But anyways, there's this clear imagery that they put in the film, um, big, for a lot of weird reasons, but a lot of purposeful reasons and, um, there, like there's a lot of abortion symbolism, but it's the horror of abortion, it's, it's the guilt of abortion that is being projected and being seen, like, hey, we don't want to talk about it, but so we're going to make a movie about it and we're going to show, not tell and we're, and no one's going to talk about it, but it's going to be here and it's going to, you're going to feel that the horror of it. That's why aliens pop out of the chest. They pop out, they, they, they imp, are impregnating you and they pop out because the, the baby that, that is killed becomes a, is a monster, that's how they perceive it and, and everything and, and, and, and the, the monster is the thing that we don't want to talk about. It is the horror, it is, it is the, the, the other thing, the thing that is, um, that is terrifying to, to us, it's that monster that we create, it's the consequences of our sin and that's why there's a lot of so much death in, in horror movies, there's a lot of sacrifices in horror movies because there's a, there are sacrificial lamps essentially dying in the place of other people. There's, but, and most times horror is not done, I think rightly, horror can be done well. Um, there are horror stories in the Bible, there are, there, there are goblins, witches and ghouls, um, in the Bible, uh, there are dead zombies in the Bible, um, that there are things in the Bible that we don't even want to talk about oftentimes that are horrifying and there's a place for him in God's world, because we live in a horrifying, haunted world. Um, and, and so forth, but more than that on a future series that I'm working on, stay tuned. Cool. Yeah. You want to wrap up? Yeah. One, one question. And then we can go. Yeah. Okay. Sure. Anything else you want to talk about? No. All right. To buy. Well, just because we're talking about indie films, talking about movies and theaters. What, what was your single, the single best theater experience that you've ever had? Movie theater experience. Um, I think the first one that comes to mind is, uh, Star Wars Episode three, I remember the beginning where we see them flying in the ships and when they, they flip over into the battle scene. Yeah. I always remember that scene. Every time I'm watching that movie, I'm like, Oh, I remember sitting in the theater watching this. And it was like, like, cause the, the adrenaline was there cause we're like in the theater watching episode three, you know, uh, they tease like Darth Vader coming and like we're just super heights. And then it's like a pretty chill scene with them flying and then they flip over and then it's like a battle and it's just like that adrenaline rush right away. Yeah. Nice. I didn't, I didn't, I did not expect that. Uh, that's awesome. Yeah. Like, I, I wish I, I, I, I do remember seeing episode three. I don't, it's not as memorable as others experiences. Um, but that was cool. And like along with Star Wars, this wasn't my biggest, my best experience, but I think one of them was episode seven, Force Wakens. Okay. When it came out, I had hopes that this was the birth of, of, of, or the continuation of the Star Wars story in a, in a good way, it, that it's going to continue George Lucas's legacy and tell the story of these great characters that I've always, I grew up loving. Uh, I was so wrong. Um, but even seeing, of course, Wakens, I enjoyed it and I loved it. And being able to like after however many years go and see on opening night, I remember it was in our small town theater, we got a little specialty tickets, got to see it like at what six or seven o'clock on Thursday and sit and watch that one. That was awesome. But I'd say my favorite, my best experience was definitely Avengers end game and just the culmination of 10 plus years of storytelling and seeing all those, all the heroes brought to come together, you know, you had, uh, Captain America get Thor's hammer. You had, um, you know, on your left, uh, yeah, just the whole fight with, they actually got to fight Thanos. Um, so I mean, yeah, yeah, I guess, uh, yes, Spider-Man no way home town was no way home. Yes. Yeah. Yes. That was pretty, that was pretty incredible. That was. And it's like, in hindsight, yeah, both those movies have problems and game has a lot of problems and no way home has a lot of problems, uh, but in the moment, it, but Force Awakens have a lot of problems, but in the moment, the time that I got to experience in those theaters, watch those movies was awesome. Yeah. It was great. So it's cool. For sure. Yeah. Cool. All right. Well, you ready to sign off? Yeah. Yeah. Well, thank you guys for listening.
