If there's ever a time that he can make it, this is it, friend. He's not gonna get many more chances. - Is that, is that statement true if your quarterback's healthy and you feel like you're at your best and playing Ohio State, rather than-- - Compromised. - Compromised and having an out and an excuse. - I think he's done with the excuses. I think there, well, that is a legitimate excuse. - Especially 'cause allers been playing well. - Yeah, and they've changed their offense to philosophy. - And it doesn't end a lot. This is a rare season. They play Washington at Purdue, that's a scrimmage. At Minnesota, it'll be tough sledding, then they'll pull away late, then they play Maryland. - No, so this is it. - No, I mean, you know-- - For him personally, not for Penn State. - Washington's the real one, right? - That's gonna be it. You can't, if you happen to lose this game, I'm pretty, my pick is Ohio State. If he happens to lose this game, you can't have a hangover against Washington. - Wouldn't that be absolutely the most James Franklin thing is to beat Ohio State finally? - And then the press conference would be legendary. - And then burp against Washington. - Yeah. - Oh perfect, perfect. - And then lose the Maryland and Mike Locksley buys all the last bustles of the Maryland blue crab. - It gives itself another three years. - Yeah, another three years. I'm picking Ohio State, who you guys got? - I am, I have wavered on this because a part of me wants all of them at one loss to create some end-of-season chaos. I don't want any, but like I want Oregon to take one too. So the thing is to root for Ohio State to that Penn State. - Has one. - Has one, and it validates Nebraska. - Yeah. - It validates Nebraska saying, okay, it wasn't just luck. You didn't catch the lightning in a bottle. You didn't, you actually played up to the level of a playoff caliber team late in the season. Like I think that matters. So I'm gonna say Buckeyes just because they look the part. Austin? - I'm gonna say Ohio State because I can't trust Penn State. They haven't done it, they haven't done it since 2016. 2016 is the last time I did it. I would love to pick Penn State because that defense is legit. If Al is healthy, he's good enough to win them the game. It would be the reason, no, but he'll avoid mistakes, I think, for the most part. I see this one being pretty low scoring. I don't think this gets into Bama, Georgia territory. I think these two defenses are legit right now. I think Ohio State, maybe searching a little bit more than Penn State is still a lot of athletes, a lot of good players out there. I want to pick Penn State because I would love to see the first 12 team playoff have Ohio State go on the road. I just don't think it happens. I can't pick against Ohio State when Penn State hasn't proven it recently. - Guys, let me ask you this, 'cause it is a part, right? That some of these first round playoff games are gonna be on campus. And Captain Chaos and me is fully intrigued by the idea of all of those being terrible weather cities. Like I kind of want, right? Making them play at the horseshoe and brutal weather. Oh, whoever it is, right? Just going. - Send them to Columbus, to Ames. I'm going to pick Illinois. - I'm seeing Minnesota by three. - Yeah, they're favored. - Well, how is Minnesota favored on the road at Illinois? - Well, that's why I'm saying that. - I'm surprised that Minnesota's finest went immediately to Illinois. - Because of Illinois wins, that's better for Nebraska. - Okay. - But I'm picking Illinois for that reason. - Okay. - It's kind of weird. - I'm fully expecting Minnesota to probably end up beating them by like 10 points somehow some way and it'd be the ugliest 10 point victory. It's going to be a PJ Flick victory. - It's kind of weird to not have Minnesota on the Nebraska schedule and be pre-mad about how that game goes. (laughing) - This is a, this is the type, this is the time of year. This is the time of year that Illinois, when, remember when they were-- - They fade. - Right. And it's always at home. Remember when, it was a metal tucker they had, they just got in a fight with Michigan, right? Michigan State's defense is pretty salty. They're tough. They're just off at Michigan State. Yep, he's right. What's yet? I'm just going to go out. You know what? I'm picking Iowa just because it's a day at home. I'm picking Wisconsin because I'm never going to pick up. I'm going to pick out. I'm never picking out. I don't know. I always got a real good running attack. I don't know how they've been going on this point in a meaningful game. I'm never picking the whole game. I mean, Iowa scored 40 points, 32 points, 40 against Washington or 20, excuse me, Michigan State. This is a tip. I'm going to like you up Monday, one. I'm going to I'm going to pick Iowa. I probably should I'm picking. I will hope in Wisconsin way. I probably should pick Iowa. But give me Wisconsin on the road. I I would didn't gain anything after Northwestern. They didn't show you anything. The way they lost to Michigan State is not. It was not good. It was not great. Not good at all. Wisconsin was one point shy of Penn State through three quarters. Bad fourth quarter. It's part of the game. I get it. But 52 to 6, 42 to 7, 23, 3 against Purdue, Rutgers Northwestern. Bad teams. Wisconsin looks good in them. But I think Michigan is going to take them to a class of nine on seven that they have not seen before. So the game will not be 15 points. Oregon will win because they have too much firepower. Michigan's got a heck of a defense, but it's not enough defense. Oregon will win Michigan will cover. This is where the. But I would not be mad if Oregon just just accidentally won by 27 points. So the spread is 14 and a half. Yeah. The over under is 44 and a half. So the math says that you would expect a 30 14 Oregon win to cover the over and the spread. Right. That's how that math math that if the over under is 45 and you expect Oregon to win by more than two touchdowns, 14 and a half points. Yeah. That somewhere around that Oregon is going to hold Michigan to two touchdowns and put up 30 points. I'm okay with that. I'm okay with the 16 point win. I would rather have it be 17 plus. So 31 14 is my target. Will Johnson still out? Yeah, that's going to be tough. But they play a good deal up there. They do. Couple. And I think, and I think they'll just run the ball to kind of, you know, kind of the condensed the game. Yeah. But I think eventually Oregon will blow them out hopefully. So I'm going to, I think Oregon comes out. If Oregon comes out and scores two touchdowns in the first quarter, it's over. If Michigan can drag them into the mud, I do think Michigan still has enough that championship DNA and strength that if it's a rock fight, you know, up through halftime, Michigan can lean on Oregon. Yeah. So Oregon, I have to get too fast start. They, they, I like to say, I always play with the, with the overunder and the, you know, because when Nebraska six and a half, the over under 39 and a half, you're telling me the Huskers win at 23 17. I was thinking it's going to be 31 13. Yeah. That's my prediction. You played UCLA, right? No, I don't think no, that wasn't before I got there. They always got talent. They got dudes. So there are two ways for this Nebraska game to go either it goes like Purdue two years ago or Colorado this year UCLA makes no effort to run the ball. If Nebraska can keep them one dimensional, obviously that's a help. But if UCLA comes out of nowhere with a Devon Maccabee performance, oh boy, no, it can't happen. Can't have right? Right. Right. Amen. I think that's just when 31 13, what are the game? 27 10. 27 10. This is, this is my favorite game right here.
