And I had an epiphany when I was getting ready for this tournament, looking at the field and just realizing how poor the state of golf is right now. And these are the tournaments the best we can do. I mean, I was super excited to get Tom Kim and Tom give us those clouds. He's a great addition to the field. But then after Tom Kim and it's another watered down JV looking field. Which, you know, you can take it two ways. I think for a lot of people, people, a lot of people in DFS and gambling world like that. There's a lot of ways to get an edge. A lot of you are itching for some getting some of the stars back. We're going to have to get adjusted. This is the new norm outside of majors. I mean, not every tournament will be this week, but outside of the major. We're going to see a lot of things that look like this. So we've been having fun with it. We'll have some more fun this week. It's a home game for Spence in Vegas. They spend every time we come on this season since the turn. We've seen slow progression of the room. It's now starting to really come together nicely. Yeah, there's like I was telling Byron yesterday when we did our roto baller show together. My background is pretty much for the most part. There's a couple more pictures I need to get up there. But it's essentially me in a nutshell of all my interests. Like at the very top up there, very fitting with all the Jerry Tarkanian and UNLV stuff, that is going to be the home game for me this weekend, Las Vegas. Very excited to have this tournament here. Unfortunately, Joel, you are correct. This is when we've gotten the changes to the schedule to where now players are already qualified or trying to compete for two records or trying to get themselves inside of a certain range to qualify for the elevated tournaments. You're just not going to get as many of those star-studded players that we used to get at this event. It used to be a tournament where Cantley was here every year and Bryson DeChambeau before he left for Liv was a very big namestay that would come. Jason Day might not be here for a different reason. There may be reasons he doesn't want to come to this town. But at the end of the day, we've lost mostly everybody. And that's unfortunate because it's a fun tournament at a fun venue. And you're not going to get that at least for the time being. It is. I still am a firm believer that we're in a transition period and there's going to be major change, bringing a lot of excitement back. We might just have to wait a year or two for that to happen. But I don't think Liv's going to last forever at this point. And when it doesn't and the guys come back, I think there's going to be a ton of excitement around a lot of these tournaments. I do have a quick question for you though, Speds. I have to compliment your hanging skills. Everything looks very straight and level. What do you have a strategy? Do you hire someone? How did you get everything so perfectly hot? I have a girlfriend that is very efficient when it comes to handling these things. If I was to hang them myself, it would not have been done so efficiently. So shout out to her for being my better half in that process. Teamwork makes the dream work. I love it. And as we do on the draft, as we have similarities, David also moving this week. So a lot of similarities, David. I know you had some moving snap through this today as well, but I'm glad you made it on time for tonight. How are you doing, David? I'm good, mate. I'm good. Yeah, very exciting purchasing a house together, which we've settled on now, which is great. But as per you said, yeah, a few of your cups along the way, which is just those things that happen as you're purchasing a house and moving in. So it's all very exciting and obviously very excited to be heading to Spence's patch of the word Spence. And I actually met for the first time based on face in real life person, rather than in this draft cast metavirus that we've all winded up in. And yeah, we had a great time at the Shriners. We saw Sang Day M hit one of the most insane golf shots I've ever hit, either in real life or broadcast. It was a completely blind shot. It was down in one of these canyon ravines, desert areas, where you just don't want to be. I'm sure Spence will cover those in his expert course breakdown coming up. And we couldn't even see him. Like I mean, he was like so far below the edge of the green and hit it to absolute millimeters. Look like it was going to hold out for an absolute spectacular eagle. Not even a tap on tap and birdie. You could have blown it into the hole. So if you have a chance, go back. Look in Sang Day M 2022 Shriners open. You'll go find it millions of views on YouTube and Spence and I. We're fortunate enough to see it in real life as well as fortunate enough to catch up in person and have a good afternoon together in Las Vegas. And caught up with our mate Rick Gaiman at the same time as well from Rick Brankood. So a lot of fun all around. Good memories of this tournament. Hopefully it's another good week ahead this week. Spence, we've brought in the expert, the local, to tell us about the course. Give us the course breakdown. What are we looking for this week in Las Vegas? Yeah, so TPC Summerlin is this beautiful scenic course that's going to meander through a Royos and canyons. David just talked about that a little bit with what we saw with Sang Day M. But one of the things that it possesses outside of just those terribly difficult shots if you do miss into one of those areas is this is a layout that's going to present a lot of semi-blind T shots that players are going to need to maneuver through if they want to take advantage of what ends up becoming about a 14-year-old increase in driving distance from a standard stop on tour. A lot of that reason occurs because of the elevation and then the desert spirit that allows the ball to travel further off the tee. If you go and you look at this tournament and you try to figure out winning scores, you mostly get these 20 to 25 underpar outlooks most of these weeks. But the one thing I want to say to that and I'll let David touch on this in a second when he wants to talk about weather and we'll get into that is there have been iterations of this tournament that have gotten down into that single digit range. I've talked about this before for Vegas tournaments. Vegas is very deceptively windy and while we've had a warm summer, I did notice the other day we started to get this chill factor at night. Not I know people here Vegas and how cold could it really be. Well, we haven't gotten there yet, but it does get chillier during the nights than you would expect. And one of the things that is potentially going to come from that is there's wind in the forecast right now. So I would keep an eye on that because at the end of the day, the only thing that prevents this course from being just a complete birdie shootout would be weather and wind. I don't know how big of a factor it's going to play right now according to the forecast. We are getting into the 20 plus mile per hour range during certain portions of the day. So it's something to just keep an eye on right now. As always, weather and specifically wind can move in a very short a period of time. So, you know, I think for DFS builds, it would be one of those situations where I would like to see where we're at closer to the start of this. But I'll let David talk about right now where he believes there to be an edge. And I would agree with him as where we stand right now. Yeah, I mean, look, we were in Vegas and it was incredibly windy. And I think it's going to be even worse than that, particularly the Friday looks incredibly severe. And some of the gusts look to be getting up towards north of 50 miles per hour on that Friday. It's going to be pretty severe really. And I mean, honestly, if it kind of stays at this forecast, it might be like it's a fairly exposed golf course, really. And it may be a case that they might have to delay play at points if it is as windy as its forecast, because you might not be able to actually keep the balls on the greens when you're marking them. So particularly, I want to target those guys who are going off Thursday morning. I think there's going to be a very defined weather edge. It's been a while since we've had one. So that's quite exciting that we actually get ability to where there's a defined wave that we think is going to get the advantage here. Thursday morning just looks dead still. And I think there's really, we're a lot of these guys on the first two rounds are going to need to compile their score. The wind's going to just ramp up through the afternoon. It's going to get quite windy and gusty on Thursday afternoon. Friday is windy all day, although might take all off in the afternoon. But as I said, if you start getting into lays, we'll say that they looks a lot better. And if those afternoon guys get to play say nine holes on Saturday morning, well, they're going to get a real, real advantage on both ends of it. So I'm kind of going full Thursday a.m. I've wanted to do that all week. I've delayed my betting selections off the back of that in order to target those particular tee times. So I do think there is a real advantage this week if you if you can find those Thursday morning tee time players that you like who have good correlation this golf course. And other than that, it's going to be, I mean, it's already very reliant on part of here is Spencer mentioned. But I think that even more so with the wind, you are going to have more miscreins, more around the green play, more parts that are going to be need to be made, not just for the low scoring, but just to keep that momentum going, especially if tricky conditions do prevail on the Friday as they're suspected. All right, a lot of weather to keep in mind this week. That is why usually 100% if you're not already, be signed up for when daily because as of the week pro done, the weather forecast will get more accurate. We will update you in discord on the edge when it starts with more clarity. If you haven't already signed up now, in addition to that, you get all of our picks outright bets. So follow along. It's definitely worth the investment for today. We do have a draft and I have to say congratulations is in order for team audience for coming through with a big W last week team audience. You will be drafting first tonight, first overall pick. And then the rest of the draft works like your typical snake fantasy football draft. If you're new to the show, don't forget to log in on YouTube. If you log in on YouTube, you can participate in the chat and draft along the way it works is anyone can nominate a golfer. Once that golfer then is seconded, so a second person mentions that person's name, that is the audience's pick. And then it'll go for tonight. Spencer David and myself are I'm sorry, Spencer myself and David last. And then I'll have two in a row and then we'll go back on the snake. You do have to stay within your draft King salaries. You can't just take all the best golfers. You do need to make sure that you can afford each golfer within your lineup audience. You are up first start getting those nominations in. It looks like Andrew and Jack already got a few in. We're going to need one of those doubled with your first pick. While we wait for that first pick to be solidified, I'll start with you spent without giving anything away. We'll be going second. Is there a player out there that you are hoping or you are aiming to take with the first pick? There is one player that I would like to grab here. Well, the audience is taking coal. I hope it's not him. But the first pick is off the board. And I think it's a really good pick. We saw ups and downs from Eric Cole over the last couple of years. We saw Eric Cole come up as basically the rookie of the year, head of an outstanding year. Then we saw him cool off for a lot of last year and not as great a result. I think right now in these watered down fields and his game kind of on the rise is a really good spot for him. We know the upside he has when he is dialed in and only 9k. I think he is as much upside as anybody. So I really like Eric Cole pick first overall. Spence, you're up here with the second pick. Was coal on your radar? And who are you looking to take first? Cole is inside of the top 12 of all iterations of my model this week. This is kind of a standard answer with him. They're better and worse course fits. Before I give the selection, I just want to double check. Joel, did you want third or fourth? I did make that confusing. I wanted third, but then I did say I would get two, but you're right. We'll sleep and have it is. I will third, David, your last, got two in a row. Just wanted to make sure so we didn't have a scandal at the very beginning here. There's enough scandals that occur in Las Vegas. We don't need to add that one to the mix. There are to me, well, there is one name that I really wanted to take here just because I thought there was a mispricing. There are a handful of options to consider. I understand there's going to be a lot of popularity when it comes to Harry Hall and Harry Hall is going to be my selection here, but you take the UNLV and home course narrative. It's going to run rampant in the space. But one thing I have noticed and whether this ends up continuing or not, I see about 16% about inside the top 10 for ownership projections. This is a very similar answer in a lot of ways of what we got with Patrick Fishburn last week and Fishburn burned the industry. So I don't know what we're going to have happen over the next couple days as David has alluded to. The morning wave does look to be the better one at this time. Harry Hall drew the right end of the wave. If that ends up being the case, there were a couple things with Harry Hall's profile that I really liked. One of those is there are three proximity buckets for me that there was an increase in expectation of birdie making potential. That's 100 to 125, 125 to 150, and then 200 plus. Harry Hall was the only golfer in this field who landed inside of the top 25 of all three of those ranges per birdie or better percentage. And the reason why I think that's as critical as it is is because this is a golfer that inside of my model ranks 80th for overall proximity when you throw them on any generic course. So what that ends up highlighting there is the reason why he jumps into the top five at easy scoring courses in birdie or better percentage is because of these ranges. And specifically here, there's a lot of rollover predictability at this course, more so than most venues. So I thought this was a mispricing where a lot of people see Harry Hall and think he should be in the low 7,000s. And you're going to have some people that want to play him and some people that think he's too high. But I think this is a really prime spot for Harry Hall to continue this desert success that he has found quite often and specifically at this venue over the last couple of years. I like Harry Hall this week as well. It was definitely someone that was on my radar. My only question for you is what are you seeing in terms of older chip brand? Right now I have 16.72%, which would put him as the seventh most popular player. In reality, Joel, I actually thought and we'll see if it goes in this direction. I thought he might be the most popular name on the board. We saw some of his movement in the market. I got him at 55 to one. He immediately dropped into that 40, 45 to one range. If you have bet rivers inside of the enhanced market, he's still 55 to one there. But most other shops move 10 to 15 points immediately. Wow. All right. I thought he'd be pretty high. I think 16% doesn't scare me off. You know, it's a little high, but I think it's certainly planned. But wouldn't be something I would be shy at all from, and it'd be 400. I agree. I think it's a great value pick there. With my first pick, I'm going to go with the guy who I think is one of the best golfers in this field. I think he's underpriced. You know, he's still pretty expensive, but I thought he would have been in the 10K range. So to get him now here at only what's the price? Like 8800 Cameron Davis. And these are the types of tournaments we see him as kind of spike at. I think he can club down a lot if he has trouble with his driver. We've seen him, you know, get some really good results. And the last time he went out, he's been and he got T5 at the BMW. So in a watered down field, he's an elite talent with plenty of upside. So the ownership with him will also be pretty high, probably in a similar range, maybe not quite as high as Hall, but probably similar. But I like the upside you're going to get with Davis in this field. David, you got two in a row here. Why open? Who are you targeting here early in this draft? Yes, I'm going to keep my faith in Seamus Power, who I took last week at the Black Desert Championship. He ended up finishing 11th off the back of the first round 72. Now he was the only player in the top 20 who had a round of 72 all worse on his scorecard. So after a sluggish start, he really actually came back pretty strong and played really, really well over his next three rounds. He gets the ideal morning tea time, which I think is very important this week. And he's also a Las Vegas resident. So he's got that going for him. I think that he's probably seen this golf course a few times more than a number in this field. And overall, I think that his week last week was actually a lot better than perhaps people would give it credit for gained a lot on approach. He gained 1.28 strokes per round. And he's that ideal mix for me of driving distance, but also accuracy. And I think that's the key around here. The fairways are a little bit narrower than what we saw while on TV. Anyway, what we saw in Utah, the fairways do narrow up pretty quick. And if you do get into the desert, as Spence mentioned, you can get into real trouble very quickly. It's probably not as penal as the black lava rocks that we saw in Utah. And Seamus Power's got that ideal mix of both, as well as gaining just consistently with the product, gaining consistently around the green. I think he's a superb value at 9300 for me. And then I'm going to stick towards the top end of the board. And I'm going to go and take Telepenrith at 10200. Again, another morning tea time food here last year. I think it's interesting that he's added this to the schedule because he just, he's simply basically, he doesn't need to play this tournament. He's ranked 46 in the world. He's 14th on the FedEx Cup. Tons of driving distance. Approach play's looking really good for a moment. He's just on a very, very consistent run. But most importantly, he's a very, very good putter. I mean, he's in the top two of this field in terms of the last trailing six months in terms of putting acumen. So I think that that's going to be a real positive on this course, especially given the windy conditions where you may need to make some putts, not only to make booty, but to keep them into going within your round. So have a stick towards the top of the board and take the two morning tea times up there. Shopify is the global commerce platform that helps you sell at every stage of your business. Yep, switching and saving with Geico feels just like that. Get more with Geico. Hi, I love the power and pendant. The power pees with his first two pick, David. I can't let another pick go without Tom Kim come out before. There's no way I can allow that to happen. So Tom Kim in this tournament, it feels to me similar to Scotty Schaffler playing, being priced at 11K and just being played way better than everyone. He's the best player. At 10-8, price is right. If anything, it could have priced him higher. I think it's a fair pricing, but he's definitely the best player in this field by a good margin. So to go get the best player at 10-8, you can still afford, you're not going to be too handy after this field of building on a lineup by taking him. So you can still afford to go without and build a pretty balanced line, even with him at the first pick. But it's pretty clear. In my opinion, he's adding shoulders and best player in the field. Spence, would love your take on the last few picks and then you're up with your second. Tom Kim, I mean, I don't know if this is an obvious statement. He is the number one player in my model, which you would expect. But the one thing I will say is it was very close between Tom Kim and maybe this is more of an outright answer than we even get for anything else, but Taylor Pendreth was very close to him in my sheet. I think from an outright, you can find him at 27-1 over at that 365. That was one of the first tickets that I punched this week. I really liked that 10th Pendreth pick. That was the next selection I was going to make myself. So a definite steal there from David and I think the power explanation makes a ton of sense. That was a golfer I was on last week too. He's won over with round one. He finishes in 11th place on a tournament. That's very difficult to make up ground because of how easy it is. So impressive performance. He's going to know the facility. I'm going to jump into the afternoon wave here just with the way that this has kind of pushed me on the board. There's essentially a handful of names that I have that we'll see how the weather plays out and maybe in 24 hours we have this conversation and something has just changed even more dramatically to where it's almost the morning only. But I am going to go with Bull Hossler here. I've told this story on every single podcast that I've done so far this week. I also wrote about it in my Rotoballer article. But when I got started in this space in 2017, I was writing for my own website T off Sports dot com and then eventually land at Rotoballer, wind daily action network and everything kind of came in the place. But what I wrote in this Vegas article when I wrote about The Shriners is I talked about Bull Hossler and I noted that I think Bull Hossler's best chance to get his first PGA tour victory is very likely to come in this tournament. It's kind of that ideal setup that you would be looking for. You look at the 2017 iteration of that tournament. First round leader fires a 73 on Sunday, falls the seventh. Last year, first round leader with J.T. Posten ends up slipping down the board also. I just think that with what we're getting with him right now from a statistical perspective, my model thought he should have won at the Sanderson Farms. Last week, I didn't even love him for that event. And he ends up coming in 11th place. So I think all the boxes are being checked. The only negative would be the weather right now with it. But I really like Bull Hossler's upside and I really like his potential to find success on this course. Bull Hossler. And it's correctly even wrong, but Spencer, are you a Bull Hossler guy? I feel like you've gotten him a few times. I'll tell a funny story very quickly. I don't know if I've talked about it directly on this show, but when I went out to the Vegas tournament, I walked alongside Hideki Matsuyama and there was just this unspoken thing between us where it was just nodding between us. In 2017, when I went out to the event and I watched Hossler play because he was to the three followers I had at the time, and it felt like a big deal that if Hossler could win and might gain me some traction in the space, I followed Hossler throughout that entire Thursday round. And we walked side by side through a lot of that portion of the day afterwards. He came up to me and was like, "Thank you for watching." And I was like, "Yes." And I've liked them for that reason. I mean, anybody who's gracious enough to at least approach a fan and say, "Thanks for being out there. It's good in my book." Wow, a nice guy, Bull Hossler. There you have it. Spence. I like it. Good story. Audience. He looks like he got one of the two in Tom Hoggi. It was just a good pick. Someone was on my radar for today as well. Unless it was the same person that said him twice, it was, actually. So one nomination is not confirmed. I apologize. But you have plenty of nominations out there. We need two audiences. You got two picks. Don't forget, we need more nominations, more doubles to get both in. While we wait, David, I would love your take on the last you picks. I mean, first, fair play to Andrew, who put Tom Hoggi. And then Tom Hoggi liked the sandwich, just to really confuse Joel and make it look like he was going to get selected across the sneaky, but it nearly works. So great fair play, fair play. Yeah, look, I've tipped Bull Hossler at this tournament. I believe last year, I agree with Spence. I do think it's a good fit on paper from. I do have concerns with the weather wave, as I mentioned. But I mean, look, we're in a unique situation here where 24 players are going to go off the board and we can't basically, just with price ranges, we'll end up with an entire wave of Thursday warning guys, just because it's not going to be realistic. So yeah, look, I mean, there's that that I guess, that element. And there's always one or two who come out of an alternate wave who managed to make their way up the leaderboard. And on paper looks a really good fit for Bullhoss. I'm definitely not one of the naysayers who think that he's never going to win on the PGA Tour. I do think he's got the ability to do so. And I think that he's the kind of player who once he gets that monkey off his back, you could actually see a couple wins come in bunches because he has got the ability in terms of the driving distance, the putter, there's a approach player can fire up at the right times as well. And when he gets all of those things going and he gets through their mental head or getting his best PGA Tour victory, it wouldn't surprise me to see him get a Seeker one in the six months kind of following either. Well, there you have it. Audience, David Thompson, first pick, lock it in, and it is official. Now, Tom Hoggi with the second pick locked in two very solid picks in terms of roster construction, you went out there, you got now three, I would say at the top, safely 15 to maybe 20 to be safe golfers in the field, easily probably higher than that. So I mean, in terms of going out there and is getting three high upside guys, you've done that. Now, the issue is, you only got seven caper golfer left. You're going to figure out around this out in a competitive way. But certainly a solid start from the audience spends would love your take on Thompson and Hogg and then you're up with your third. Yeah, Thompson's the number one player in my model when you look at these easy scoring venues where birdies come in bunches, he has the prerequisite that you would want to see off the tee. There's a really nice course fit for him. For Hoggi, one of the safer players in my model, negative trajectory for upside, but number one in weighted proximity, it's going to come down to how many putsy can make in my mind for where he lands on the leaderboard. But there's a reason why he's found success at this tournament. I think he's a very safe cut maker that potentially with the right enough putts dropping, all of a sudden works himself up the leaderboard. I am going to go back to a golfer that I seem to have been on maybe both weeks of the last two events that have been played. And we have seen this just very consistently become less enticing to people. You look at the Sanderson, he comes outside the top 40. Last week at the Black Desert, everybody wants to play Patrick Fishburn and he burns the industry with a miscut. But I think the one thing I want to note is this is not like when you move from a regular tournament to a major championship. It's a very similar field as Joel has kind of alluded to. It's watered down with the addition of Tom Kim, Taylor Pendreth, Davis Thompson, Cameron Davis, a handful of players. But for this price to move, and I don't even know exactly where it was at the Black Desert, but for it to move from, we'll call it $9,600, which is where I think it was, to $7,200. A $2400 price drop is way too substantial in my mind. He's 7% projected on right now in my sheet because of that miscut, which is kind of what we're always trying to find as people jumping off of players. And then if you want to at least look at the positive end of this, I run something in my model that looks for par or better streaks. And that's just anybody who obviously shoots par or better during a round. Once you don't do it, the number resets for me inside of my model. Patrick Fishburne is six rounds better than anybody else in this tournament with 20 consecutive rounds of shooting par or better. So while we are looking at a miscut at the Black Desert in the 48th at the Sanderson Farms, a lot of that has been because of his inability around the greens, his inability to score on the par fives. I do think this is a really nice core setup for him to where we can jump back on Patrick Fishburne at very minimal ownership from the 25%, $9,600 price range we had a week ago. I think that's spot on. We've said this on the show often. Typically, there is an overreaction to someone having a bad week. That does not mean that person has drastically changed so much in one week. And if you've played golf, and don't take my advice on this because I actually are really bad and real golf. But if you play golf, you know, you can go out one day and just be terrible. Go out the next day and play your best round, right? So not that much will have changed. And I think to expense this point, the pricing seems like an overreaction to begin with, the ownership as well. There is certainly still plenty of upside this week at Patrick Fishburne. So I love that pick there by Spence. For me, I'm going to go back here. This is, I would probably say, pretty confident. This is definitely one of my guys I'm going with here. And that's Daniel Berger, right? I think we saw Daniel Berger come back. And now he's now two tournaments in a row, gain strokes putting, not a lot. But if you remember, our issue with Berger was how bad he was with the putter. He was losing three, four strokes a week putting. He couldn't. He was shooting himself in the foot. The fact that it's had two positive putting treats in a row again, not a lot gained. But if we know what he's going to bring with his ball tricking, that has been consistent. That's the strength of his game. A neutral putter out of Daniel Berger in this field, I think gives him the opposite of what win this tournament at 7200. I wouldn't have been surprised if Daniel Berger's price was nine cases. Similar to what you're saying, this just seems white under price to me for a guy who I think is as talented or any golfer in this field. And with him making putts the way he strikes the ball, the results are going to improve, right? If he's going to make putts, he is not. He's going to start finishing top 20s. Those are going to be on their way, especially in his watered down field. So, mispricing for me on Berger, I love that I'm the fault to me here in the three spot. David, we'd love your take on the last few picks this round and then you got two. Yeah, I think big is interesting because if I recall correctly, last week he was priced around 7700 and he's dropped down $500 here and it's a mildly stronger field than what we saw last week, like mildly. But I mean, he didn't have a terrible week. He finished 35th and so it wasn't a dreadful performance room and somehow he's dropped $500 in a like outside of Tom Kim, a pretty similar strength of field really. So, I do think that's interesting. I just, I want the points around Fishburn with you guys. We constantly see over reactions to one single week of golf from these players and anytime that you can get about an alternative and go against your instinct, which is, oh, that guy let me down so I won't play him this week, it's generally going to work in the positive. So, Fishburn was definitely on my radar in that regard. So, I think fair play to both of you on your last selections. Tom Hokey's interesting, obviously he's got a great course record. He's not typically the strongest putter and that surprises me just given his performance at this golf course and the correlation between strokes and putting in success. It's in the top 10 on the regular course rotation where putting is a predictive factor. But he has found really good success here. So, that's interesting in that regard and obviously we just know what how you can do on approach. So, I think he's an interesting name as well. I'm going to go ahead and take Harris English here, obviously a really good performance last week, six in Utah, just a couple hours drive away. And, with his putting, with his around the green acumen, I think that that's going to be a real benefit in the weather. Said some good performances here, previously finished fourth here back in 2017, 16th back in 2015 and 28th last year. Obviously he's got that correlation playing at attitude in the desert last week as well, but also a TPC Scot style. Now, Matt McCarty, who won, also grew up in Scot style, went to high school there, wasn't really that much of a surprise to see him go out and complete victory in Utah therefore, given those correlations. And he's had a good record in Scot style, Harris English. He's had a 17th last, earlier this season, an elevated signature event, 2020, finished 16th there as well. So, I think there's a lot going for him. And again, he gets the favorable side of the draw this week. And then I'm going to need to drop down, I think a little bit further into the kind of the six K range, because just looking where your guys salary, and particularly the audience are located, I feel that's going to be a bit of a wise move. So, I'm going to go ahead and take a Las Vegas guy in Justin Sir. He is going to be a little conchirian. He's only getting about 2% ownership, but he's got that right combination for me in terms of his planning acumen, as well as being long enough ends straight enough with the driver to get the job done around here. He has found a 6C who's eighth on debut here back in 2021. So, he has found a success at this golf course. And bear in mind, he was only just really starting out on the PGA tour when he managed to compile that result of eighth, and sort of burst onto the scene that week. So, I think there's a lot of correlation there. And again, signature event earlier this year, TPC Scot style, he managed to finish 22nd in a much, much stronger field than this. So, I think there's a little bit of value there at 6800. Not terrible last week when he's 46 over in Utah either. So, some positive signs I think a bit about you may be at the top of the 6K range. Oh, all right. Harris English, Justin Sir, off the clock. David's got four now. I like those two picks. You know, I think you're going to, I think you're especially for GPP, you know, Carolina ownership where there's plenty of ups, especially with English. We've seen, you know, what he's been able to do. With my fourth pick here, I was debating with you guys. I'm really trying to be strategic on who I think will actually last to me. So, I'm going to go ahead here and take... Yeah, I got to go with my guy Andrew Novak. I can't get away from him. And you know what? He also gives me my withdraw equity because he withdrew last week. There's got to have a chance to get a withdrawal. And in all seriousness, obviously I'm not taking him, but I think he's going to withdraw. It sounds like he was not going to make the cut and he just kind of left. I don't think he's actually has an injury. So, I'm not all that concerned. Obviously, he did withdraw. So, there's always a little bit of concern. But I don't think there's an injury there. I think he just wasn't making the cut and decided to pack it up. So, it said to me 200. This is another one in this field. I just feel like he is underpriced. If you look at Zoom in a little bit on... Forget about that. But dating back to even July, he's gained over three strokes in the last three tournaments he's played on an approach. He's gained strokes in these tournaments playing off the tee. He's been good around the green. The issue had more recently has been putting, which he's historically a good putter. So if there's one thing I expect him to turn around, it's the putting. I think this is a good spot for him to get right. Last week, early, got right. We'll come back this week, ready to roll. So I think there's plenty of upside with an underpriced $7200 and you know that this week. Spence will love your take on the last few pigs and then your upper their fourth. So I think the subplay is interesting from David. Somebody that inside of my model also graded as a value and was actually one of the better leverage options on the board because of that very minimal ownership that David just alluded to. Like I have them at sub 1% right now. So as a name that's going to have a connection to this course and a connection to the West Coast from being a USC player and just the ability to make putts. And I've talked about this on the show before. His USC coach actually compared him to Jordan's speed like with the flat sticks. So that's somebody who has the potential to get hot at any moment in that area of his game. I'm going to jump back into the afternoon wave here. I kind of have a hodgepodge of where this build is going. But I've talked about JJ spawn a lot during the last couple of months and I made this statement during the pro-core championship to where I think you could make an argument that the FedEx cup playoffs hit him at a really wrong time to where he ended up sitting out when he caught absolute fire with his game. And since the restart here we've seen two top 26 finishes. The withdrawal that ended up being a very slow start that he pulled himself out of the tournament. But you know I think spawns ability for this particular course whether it's the easy scoring nature of it or if you just look at the last 24 rounds and as I always talk about on this show or any show that I do I run my data from a lot a lot longer perspective than most people. But when I do subtract it in and I run a weighted strokes gain total perspective for this course and I do it over the last 24 rounds JJ spawn is actually the best player from a statistical perspective during that period of time. So I about 7900 was far too cheap for him and I see about 15 and a half percent ownership right now. I'm fine with that percentage that's just outside of the top 10 for me in ownership. I think if you would have looked at this two weeks ago and you would have given JJ spawn this price he's probably 30% owned. I totally agree it's a similar similar discussion you had with Fishburn where his overreaction to him and at 8k you know what we've seen it as a recent result has been playing some of his best golf and this watered down field. JJ spawn can go out there with plenty of outside the top five if not women tournament. So I love that pick their great value. It's definitely someone that was on my radar audience. We need two from you so get those nominations in we got to lock into um now that's from last one I was gonna say is it possible there's a pick in but that's from a few minutes ago so we need that we'll wait for the two to come in while we wait David we'll go back to you we'll love your take on the last couple picks this round. Yeah they might be there with Rico Hoey I think the audience. Um yeah JJ spawn's interesting I don't think we've really got much information out about the WD I don't know if you guys saw any info come out about the sort of sudden withdrawal when he was quite popular but kind of similar narrative to Patrick Fishburn there from Spence in terms of well if it was something quite minor that caused him to withdraw and he's fully recovered so a couple weeks later maybe you see some drop on ownership of the people who are afraid of the the WD equity that comes with JJ spawn. Um engine Novak definitely withdrew because he had a tantrum. Um he was definitely gonna miss the cut. Uh he had about 58 feet for um a bogey and um was already outside the cut line so he just picked out the ball and walked away and was definitely gonna make a double bogey or worse so um just decided to have a tantrum instead so um so yeah he should be healthy and yeah look we've seen great upside with um Novak over the last um kind of three months you've been playing really really good golf. Again concerns about the tee times but um I you know I can hark on about that um the the entire drive pass I do really think that Thursday a.m. is gonna get the best of us. There you have it. All right audience great job getting one. The first place locked in it is Rico Hoey but you're gonna need a second there's a few nominations in I saw Jack nominated hometown hero Ryan Moore from UNLV oh yeah while we wait we're gonna need a second so keep those coming. Do you think I'll go to the free tee you on this one Spencer there is an edge in drafting any of the guys who have Vegas as their hometown this might be at home course advantage if you will. I don't know Joel I feel like we played this game quite frequently and more so what ends up occurring from it is if there is an edge it's usually accounted for in the ownership percentage that you end up seeing to begin with so whatever you win or gain on one end you'll probably lose on the opposite end there. That's a fair point unless you can somehow it's I don't think there's a big one man unless you can somehow find a sneaky one maybe it's you're not as obvious and everyone knows that they're from that area so you kind of sneak it in but I think it's a very fair point that you made that you know what edge you think you're getting it's probably made up for it and a little bit of bumping ownership. Second pick locked in with Silverman interesting pick their audience you know doing their best to salvage some value played with the money they have left spend would love your take on Hoey and Silverman to the better values that I had inside my model then Silverman surprisingly which I was not anticipating when I started this week was a top 20 player for me and every single way that I built my sheet so I thought at 7400 you get a really safe golfer that has a low ownership percentage and maybe a little bit more upside than than meets the eye with it so I like the selection of both of those two names there from the audience and unfortunately Silverman was probably most likely going to be my next pick so I'll let you kick it to David for to have him answer the question just so I can get a second here to figure out where I'm going to go now. All right we'll give spent a minute David would love your take on the audience to fix here. He's rattled audience he's rattled you've got him on the ropes we'd love to see it love a good steal on the PJ draft cast yeah I think Silverman is definitely on my radar I mean it's interesting throughout that middle kind of 7k range because he runs that sort of similar ownership and it almost comes a case of just pick your poison I mean I always advocate in these weaker fields as soon as you start getting below even say 9k there really just isn't that much difference between someone who's like 8.5 and 7.5 like they're really just a pretty similar golfer and so feel free to leave tons of money on the table this week there is absolutely no harm in doing that it's all last week the optimal was like 47 46k I mean you would have had to leave about 3k on the table and and have Kevin Strelman in your lineup so I mean that was incredibly unlikely that you were going to do that but just saying that you can get away with leaving more money on the table at this type of event then say a signature event where you've got the sheathlers in the shelf ways of the world where you probably are going to want to go and spend up all use hello to get some of those studs so um look I don't mind that that's trading at all interest to see where the audience is going to dive down in that 6k range because this field gets real real weak real real quick that's that is true it will get interesting all right spent you're on the clock here with your fifth you got 85 inches spent so plenty of money left so you're looking for here I'm going to throw a curve ball from where I plan to go initially with this um I am going to take Matthew McCarty at 9100 and I know we have three tournaments of information to be pulling from and one of those is a victory so when you can throw a victory into the mix you're going to grade as a top five six player just naturally based off of that but it's kind of the answer that you and I Joel always give to where that unknown variable is very enticing to me that unknown of what the upside is where we look back two years from now and figure out that McCarty was every bit this good if not better he sixth for me in my model there's a handful of players that are in that 9,000 and up section that were tech technically a value I know there's going to be some ownership around him I see 16 and a half percent but a positive leverage at that number very so slightly positive value at that number very so slightly I'll kind of bet on a little bit of the unknown with him here and go a different route after the audience definitely did take Silverman from underneath me when it comes back to me there is another route that I want to talk about that I did consider going which is just the boomer bust route with it but that's something we can discuss in a second so is did you lock the paper in McCarty McCarty it is okay all right McCarty listen coming off and do you have any concern of him repeating look I mean that obviously gets built into the equation a little bit in the outright market I think if you look at what we have from him and and this is a spot where I'm going to trust books being very smart from this when he played his first tournament he was one of the 10 or 12 favorites on the board the second week he was one of the whatever favorites last week he slipped a little bit in odds I think books knew what they were getting from him it's a corn fairy standout that won multiple times to get himself into this position winning is hard winning in back-to-back starts in four tournaments would be a legendary performance but I think this is a golfer that from a statistical perspective does look to be the real deal even if he's not he's certainly playing it right now right I think one thing I'll reference is Garakago if we remember when he came up he was hot to the beginning he was winning tournaments he was you know top 10ing he looked great we thought he was gonna be the next star he's since fallen off right we haven't seen Hegel competing the tournament in years but it wasn't like he had one showing that first year disappeared it was consistent that first year it was coming you know over and over and then he disappeared McCarty's in that you know hot streak right now he's just playing good golf he knows how to win even coming off win I think just by the way he's playing you probably get a good result either way so I like that pick for sure and then I'm up here with my fifth I also have to be a little strategic knowing David's got two we're in a similar price range so I've got to think who I think he's gonna take and and how I can maybe work around him there as I'm gonna start off by taking Ben Griffin here with my fifth pick Ben Griffin looked really good last week the ball striking was really strong he's very strong scrambling which I think is something you're gonna need this week you can make pots you know the one thing you're concerned about Ben Griffin's driver which I think should be neutralized on this course I think that shouldn't be a big issue for him so I think Ben Griffin both has upside but I think he's also pretty safe in this field it only came 200 David would love your take on the last couple of fix and then you have two to round out your draft Ben Griffin's definitely on my radar wasn't an official steal there's another golfer in that range that I am about to take but but yeah Ben Griffin would have been definitely on the cards had you taken that other golfer. Ben McCard is really interesting right because he does it all with the putter driving actually he's really high he's not the longest off the tee I don't think that's all that detrimental in Las Vegas it doesn't rain there all that much it gets pretty firm stays pretty firm and his driving distance will be absolutely fine for this golf course so as long as he keeps it in play and the the putter just looks phenomenal so yeah maybe you can keep that that hot streak going I mean when Gary Keggo burst onto the scene on PGA tour bear in mind he'd also won a couple of times in the DP will tour leading up to that as well and just got on an incredible win streak and McCarty's links to Scottsdale just won it altitude as well like all of those links there as well so I'm not too afraid about going back to the tour bear although I think that he might like a lot of people might just think that he's the second coming at the stage and he might get a lot of ownership at that that's what levels so kind of alluded to it it's probably not that it's probably pretty obvious who I'm going to go with it's not being Griffin it is JT Posten who I think in this field just carries a bit of class above all of those kind of surrounding him he's had very good record here actually he's finished third 20th 27th in recent years fourth if you want to go all the way back to 2018 we all know that he's a fabulous putter we haven't seen him since the BMW Championship in the in the FedEx Cup playoffs and he's ranked 41st in the the FedEx Cup at the moment so that again just tells me this guy does not need to be playing this golf tournament whatsoever maybe once going a few of the casinos or maybe he just thinks that this is actually a golf course that really suits his game really well and for me I can see why he's a very good putter he's very good around the Greens as pro players excellent as well and I think that he has got the upside to just really go and kind of surpass all those other guys in the okay range he's one of my favorite players at 8100 and then I kind of tossed tossed in turn between two golfers at this because one's in the afternoon wave and for me is probably the better golfer of the two but I'm going to stick to my all am narrative here and just hope that the weather wave ends up absolutely horrific for those afternoon guys and I'll take Chen Kim who's been a very popular selection over the last few weeks um 46 last week of the Blake Desert Championship the main thing for me with Chen Kim is he does rate negatively for putting acumen but he has been putting at or above field average for a long run of tournaments now and it really seems that he's starting to find something with his putter he's long and straight off the tee which I do really like and if we're looking at like a comparative desert putting contest the American Express you know we all know what John Rahm said about that tournament right it was a something putting contest well he finished 14th there gaining a ton of strokes putting so he has shown these abilities to pop occasionally with the putter and the fact that he's now on a run of I think eight tournaments where he's basically been at field average or above I think that he is perhaps turning the corner with his putter the approach base saw there the off the tee going still there and um the fact he gets that morning wave was what kind of made me lean his way over Eric van Royan who I think if he had had a morning tea time I would have been all over him at that price. Oh I love it I love Chen Kim and like you said he's been popular as of late but for a good reason the metrics say so I think this is a good spot for him especially now that people might be looking elsewhere I think this is a good spot for him to pop. I am pleased by the way this has turned out for me I was hoping that for my last pick Pat and Kazar would fall to me and he has and I really like what Pat and Kazar has done over the last three tournaments so since September where he won at the Pro Corps he got to 11th this areas and farms and the black guys are 43rds and not the best result but while he lost less than a stroke off the tee he gained on approach around the grain and putt. Not a lot but he's still game where he's playing good golf is one of his strengths is over his scrambling which is going to be something you need to do here um again he's been pretty consistent on his approach shots that's been a strength of his I think the way he's playing there's plenty of upside for Pat in this week in this field and like David En spends a little to do earlier um I'm leaving 500 at the table which in this field is nothing you feel free like you have to leave guys you can leave 1500 2kms table you don't need to spend all of your money I had no desire to go up and try and fit on my salary and I was fine with dropping down here probably could have dropped down further if there was someone there that I wanted spends you got one left got 7900 budget um who how are you rounding out your draft? so I alluded to this when I made my last selection there were in general two routes I was considering there's a handful of players that slide in in each direction but it would be McCarty and then one of Kazir Chan Kim or Matty Schmidt and naturally Matty Schmidt is the only one that's left so I will be taking Matty Schmidt with this selection the other route that I was considering and this is the volatile one for me this is the Boomer bust ignore past form um kind of take on that triumvirate that this player brings to the mix of desert Gulf West Coast TPC similar green complexes where he finds success that would be Maverick McMealy and Maverick McMealy and Ben Griffin was the the Boomer bust route that I was considering taking but with McCarty being the selection and all those other names off the board I will take Matty Schmidt here. Matty Schmidt I like the big thing he's playing well he was the one I was looking at for this pick as well at least one of my finalists so we're aligned there um before we go audience you got one left so we need a nomination and a second to finish the draft 66 expense you're going to have to value find a value play while we wait David would love to get your take this week on Matty Schmidt. Yeah look I've always had a lot of time for Matty Schmidt um especially given my um experience on the DP World Tour and um covering that tour very extensively I haven't worked a few tournaments there previously as well obviously he's the product of the DP World Tour that's made his way across the PGA Tour and he's he was absolutely dominant on the the DP World Tour he was he really was one of the best players on the tour at the time and haven't necessarily seen that translated across um in full to the PGA Tour but he's a golfer with tons of driving distance we know there's a great way to find success in the States and then the fact that he can get hold of the putters repository as well I think last week was really positive for him and obviously being at altitude again I think there's a lot of similarities actually from what we saw last week to what we can expect at TPC someone so it was definitely on my radar um again gets the morning t-times interesting I do think the McNealy Griffin route would have been really interesting although Spencer would have been interested in if you were to take in Griffin first or McNealy first because I think if you'd take a McNealy first you would have ended up a little stuck because Joel or myself would have ended up with Griffin at the tune it's easy to say at this moment I would have taken Ben Griffin first only for the reason I see 12 13% ownership Maverick McNealy looks to be about 6% I did see his name pop into the chat I think Ed had mentioned McNealy a couple times and you know he's a very savvy upside pick for all those reasons I talked about but it would have worked out in that regard with it but that was kind of the dangerous game that you always play when you push yourself or back yourself into a corner where if the name is off the board then all of a sudden you have to rework everything so it was simpler for me to go McCarty and then one of the others and I kind of be guaranteed that I was going to get one of those names to follow and you guys made it simple for me when you guys went Shann Kim and Kazayar Schmidt's the only one left at that point yeah that certainly makes sense and audience untouched you're going with my namesake for your final pick in Joel Domin not that it's a good pick I don't really think it's a good pick but I do like bebby has my name so that is the audience roundup I actually thought the audience was having a good draft until here the last pick is I don't want to make Joel Domin but that is a wrap for the draft tonight let us know who you think is gonna win we're gonna no-brainer sign up get involved you also get outright plays and things that we don't get out on the show in there as well as we pull the draft board down like I said we will get into the first round leader play sometimes we'll give out a few matchup bets as well we'll start with you David who are you looking at in the first round leader market yes I've got five this week and and I think that yeah this this could be fairly predictable for a first round and I mean I I'd say there with a lot of caution but just given that the the wind does look to pick up so much in the afternoon you kind of confined to a few names really in my mind in terms of those morning tea times which I do just think are going to get the best of it I mean hitting that is Taylor Pendreth you can get him at 40 to 1 in the first round leader market with six places over at uni bet now he has been 11th of the better after the first round in five of his last seven starts and he was third here last year as well so I think he's great value at 40 to 1 going off in the morning Seamus Powell who I mentioned and draft on the show as well over at William Hill get him at six places 45 to 1 again he's had a bunch of very good first rounds other than last week which really kind of ruined his entire tournament I expect him to get it as fast to start here being the Las Vegas resident now he's finished 18th or better in the first round in six of his last 11 starts JT Poston could get absolutely hot with the putter you can get him at 66th is over at uni bet he was 10th after the last round last time we saw him but we know they can absolutely get very very hot with the putter we've seen that at other tournaments like John Deere where he can absolutely just light up and shoot out an eight under or nine under on occasion being Griffin at 66th also with uni bet in six places he has been in the top nine or better first round in five of his last nine starts and Harry Hall rounds it out another Las Vegas guy 66th for him over at uni bet as well now he was six after the first round last week and I think having that local knowledge as well as getting the morning two time is another very good value so five guys 40s or longer three of them at 66th and so there's been some good value especially on that Harry Hall number is speeds mentioned he got beat in very very quickly at the 40th but that first round leader market has been sluggish to adjust and um 66th is a very very good number there on Harry Hall oh there you have it love that car David Spence we love to learn from you do you have any first round leader plays for us today or match our pets I like the first round leader market and there are a lot of similarities between David's card and my card took Harry Hall at 66 to one I took Taylor Pendreth at 45 to one if you don't have access to each way that's over at bet online I took Patrick Fishburn at 70 to one Ben Silverman at 75 to one Sheamus Power at 50 to one that's a bet online number also there and then Ben Griffin 66 to one so quite a few names that overlap there between David and I I love it I actually have some overlap with these guys which is going to make this interesting I have four first round leader plays the big overlap Ben Griffin we all are playing Ben Griffin teeing off early it certainly seems like a good spot for him there spends my second one student's a project roll for my one home run and they're talking about him in the chat Ryan Moore right the hometown hero you know he can't really make putts but if he gets off for just one round with the putter he might have a chance to give you a first round play the way I'm looking for a homework in this field that 100 to one anything get happen I do have one play not in the morning but I'm just going to take the best call for him and that's Tom Kim it's going up in the afternoon but it's Tom Kim and I think Tom Kim to anyone can do it you know remember that one tournament what was it two years ago was it the the PGA championship but it was a horrible weather and Justin Thomas went out when like 11 under and the horrible wind didn't beat everybody so it's like it's possible the best player can he go out there and have and have a day so at 28 to one I think that's still a pretty strong number for Tom Kim and my last one is Daniel Berger who was also 16-1 and going out pretty early on Thursday morning that's a wrap for our first round leader plays right I'm down good luck this week it's going to be a lot of fun in Vegas I can't wait for another strong week and then again like I said we'll come back next week and we'll do it again did I forget anything I don't think so no just Viva Viva Las Vegas I've got all my Shriners moonshine I'm excited for the tournament looking forward to see what happens and we have already discussed that we all need a weekend in Vegas together so we have to arrange that at some point probably on my timetable no offense but given that I'm the furthest away from all of you and from Las Vegas for the audience to have a laugh that Viva is not in the US obviously isn't not sure exactly the geography he thought last week Spencer who lives in Las Vegas and me who lives in New Jersey would have a similar commute to Las Vegas I mean it could actually be comparative by the time that you get all your transfer risk and get all the security and everything that you have to do in the States that yeah could comparatively be the same from New Jersey yes it was from New Zealand to get to Las Vegas but even needs to happen when we do it we'll let everyone know in the wind daily discord so we can have a great meet-up and and have a bit fun Las Vegas eventually my favorite holiday destination we would be in there six times now and looking forward to adding a lucky seven and looking forward to adding some winners to the card this week it'll be a good one of course as always sports how do you feel when you switch to Geico and save on your car insurance it's like going to work on one Thursday morning and thinking to yourself just one more day until Friday but then somebody in the elevator says happy Friday then you check your phone
