AP news, I'm Haya Pajwani. During a press briefing, Maryland Secretary of State Police Roland L. Butler Jr. announced what he called a "tragic discovery" in the surge in recovery mission from the collapse of the Baltimore, France's Scott Key Bridge. Shortly before 10 a.m., divers located at Red Pickup Truck submerged in approximately 25 feet of water in the area of the middle span of the bridge. Visitors recovered two victims of this tragedy trapped within the vehicle. The victims were identified as Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, 35 years old of Baltimore, and Dorlyn Ranial Castillo Caboeira, 26 years old of Dundalk. Their family members were notified just over an hour ago in person. The audio is courtesy of WMAR. Former U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut has died according to a statement issued by his family. He nearly won the vice presidency on the Democratic ticket with Al Gore in the disputed 2000 election and almost became Republican John McCain's running mate eight years later. Lieberman died in New York City on Wednesday due to complications from a fall. He was 82. The NBA's Washington Wizards and NHL's Washington Capitals are staying in the District of Columbia. In his statement, Alexandria, Virginia Mayor Justin Wilson says the city wants economic development, but the proposal to build a new arena for Washington area sports teams will not move forward. We have come to the conclusion that the general assembly process is not going to produce a proposal that protects our financial responsibilities and respects our community's values. The S&P 500 was 0.6 percent higher earlier today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 257 points and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.3 percent. This is AP News. President Joe Biden's two Democratic predecessors will join him in New York tomorrow in a show of force aimed at rallying Democratic voters to give him a second term. From Clinton pitching voters on a second Obama term, if you will renew the president's contract, you will feel it. To Obama, honoring Clinton with the Medal of Freedom, his foundation and global initiative have helped to save or improve the lives of literally hundreds of millions of people. And Biden welcoming his former boss here to the White House. There are few people I've ever known with more integrity, decency, and moral courage than Barack Obama. It's all in stark contrast to Donald Trump, whose owned former vice president isn't willing to endorse him. Leon Panetta, who worked for both Obama and Clinton, says they were reelected because they connected with the American people. And Biden should pick up some pointers. Sagar Magony at the White House.
