In response to the collapse of the Baltimore Key Bridge earlier this week, International Long Shores Men's Association, Local 333 President Scott Cohen says the union is doing what they can to secure benefits and healthcare locally with international workers. You know, they're going to collect unemployment and we're going to see what we can do about getting some pandemic relief, money that we had up at our international, trying to help us out with that so we can bridge the gap for many of our members and put food on the table for their families. House Republicans are asking President Biden to testify before Congress about his family's business dealings. A.P. correspondent Jackie Quinn reports. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has sent the president an invitation to answer questions directly from members of Congress. Comer alleged there's a quote yawning gap between the president's public denials of any wrongdoing and evidence assembled by his committee. Comer has been alleging an influence peddling scheme based on some phone calls and dinner meetings between Joe Biden before he was president and his son Hunter and Hunter Biden's business associates. Biden is expected to decline. Republicans have yet to produce any evidence that shows the president was directly involved or benefited from his family's businesses while he's in public office. I'm Jackie Quinn. Authorities in Russia have detained six journalists across the country this month, including a journalist who covered the trial of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Navalny died in an Arctic penal colony in February. The detentions were revealed by media freedom organization Reporters Without Borders. Antonio Favera Skya was reportedly detained and accused by Russian authorities of taking part in an extremist organization for her social media post. Two other journalists were temporarily detained after they came to meet Favera Skya and the detention center where she was being held by Norman Hall. This is AP News. It's a bittersweet Easter for chocolate lovers around the world as cocoa prizes rise due to changing weather patterns. AP correspondent Karen Shamas has more. At the famous Labombronier chocolate shop in Geneva, visitors rushed to buy chocolate bunnies and eggs ahead of Easter, the shop's development director, Chantalu Bi, admits the low harvest in West Africa has had an effect on prices. The ArneƱo phenomenon, which has caused teeth and a lack of rain, indeed caused the price of cocoa to rise, mainly in Ghana and the Ivory Coast. Although her shop doesn't use African cocoa beans, about three-quarter of the world cocoa production comes from West Africa with a shortfall in production and high fertilizer costs.
