This is AP News, I'm Rita Falle. As the sun rose this morning, you could see a big crane at the site of that collapsed bridge in Baltimore. It's going to help to remove the wreckage of the bridge, and that will allow the search for four construction workers to continue, although they are believed to be dead now after a cargo ship plowed into the bridge. The AP's Sagar Maganee, with what Maryland Governor Westmore is saying, "This is an incredibly complex job." Overspoke last night, as the Coast Guard was moving a crane toward Baltimore. "The largest crane in the eastern seaboard," one of two, the Governor says, will be used to clear both the bridge's remains and the cargo ship that hit it, part of the overall effort to rebuild the bridge and reopen Baltimore's vital port. More says none of it will happen fast. "We have a very long road ahead of us," Sagar Maganee, Washington. How do you feel about immigrants coming to the US? The AP's Donna Warder, with the new Associated Press poll. About 40 percent of Americans surveyed say that when immigrants come to the US legally, it's a major benefit for American companies to get the expertise of skilled workers. And 38 percent say legal immigrants enrich American culture and values. 32 percent surveyed say there's a major risk that legal immigrants will commit crimes in the US. That figure was 19 percent in 2017. Donna Warder, Washington. Russia's targeting electric power plants in Ukraine say officials there. Ukraine's armed forces say Moscow's launched a large-scale attack on energy infrastructure, with a massive barrage of 99 drones and missiles hitting regions across the country. The state-owned grid operator says Friday's attack deliberately targeted thermal and hydroelectric power plants across central and western regions, while DTEK, Ukraine's largest private electricity operator and three of its thermal plants had been damaged in the attack. Russia has escalated its war on Ukraine in recent days, launching several missile barrages on the capital Kief and hitting installations in apparent retaliation for recent Ukrainian aerial attacks on the Russian border region of Buildarot.
