The family that vacations together stays together. At least that was the plan. Except now the dastardly desk clerk is saying he can't confirm your connecting rooms. Oh, wait, what? That's right, ma'am, you have rooms 201 and 709. No, we cannot be five floors away from our kids. Ugh, the doors of double locks, they'll be fine. When you want your connecting rooms confirmed before you arrive, it matters where you stay. Welcome to Hilton. I see your connecting rooms are already confirmed. Hilton, for this day. Hello, good evening and welcome to the Talking Cup on Gav. And back with me is the man that wears beautiful, beautiful tracksuits. It is a cars Joe Weyman, the Leeds fan Joe Weyman, delighted to have him back on. This is a member's chat, so it is a safe space, you can say whatever you want and the general public won't be giving out here and having breakdowns and just being overall snowflakes. But I have to say, Garamak, one of the four comments of the news is, even though, has anyone watched the Brian Cox's show about the solar system, Unreal, Garam, would you ever go and fuck off? Right? No. Actually, you know, Garbrine. That's Garamak. Not Garbrine. Oh, damn. Why don't you tell me Garbrine if you want, though? Okay. So, I owe Garbrine a massive apology, right, because Garbrine, a few years back now, probably when I was on the show with Gar, he battered Melier, and I said he was wrong. However, it's transpired that he was right on Melier and he's a rubbish goalkeeper. He's still in my football club, he's still there, but he needs replacements. Is he still in the game? If you're watching. Yeah, he's our only, yeah, comp... The other one's Carl Daller, and he's rubbish, but... Oh, the ex... New Castle Goldhill. Yeah, yeah. He's... Yeah. I know. The only... I presume that Strada broke the camel's back there, was the incident that's on the land, because it's just... Bad, wasn't it? Mental, isn't it? Oh, man. We could talk about that for an hour, but we won't. But we'll definitely talk about leads later on. So, of course, this is a member show, if you're a member and you're in here watching, hit the like button. Let us know you're here. Any questions you have for Joe? Trow them in. Gar Mack makes an attempt to say Joe the proper football man, but spells proper P or double OE, or... I don't know why he's done that, but listen, we all have a cross to bear. Joe, this show is the weekend rewind, and we look back at the Premier League over the weekend, talking points, this, that and stuff. Where do we start? Do you know what? I'm going to start with something today where Eddie will leave an arsenal, right? And apparently he's gone to work for the owner of Notland Forest. Not in that case, yeah. Yeah, who owns Notland Forest, Olympia, Akos, and as it was put to me earlier, and some crowd in Portugal. So having a look up, is this a weird one, Joe? And the other thing is, how can he... How am I asked to let this guy resign and walk straight into another job that's associated with the Premier League club? Do you know what the mad thing is? Well, I think it does as well. I think it could signal the end of Michel soon. Like, I think... I've always maintained... Is that just what you want now, or a whole... No! No, no, I don't mind Michel. Me, I think he's going to go f***ing... Oh, do you? Oh, really? Okay. This boy isn't, yeah. I think he's doing a good job, contrary to a lot of Arsenal fans think, but I always said that he'll never get sacked, because then to a repair, they come one and the same. So the fact that one's gone, if the season continues to go as it is for Arsenal, which is not what anyone expected, really, then I think he could get the boot at the end of the year. It depends who they bring in, I guess, don't it? But yeah, that shocked me today, God, I can't buy it, really shocked with it. It's a strange one, because, like, he's there since 2019. I think the other comes in just before or just after Michel Artette, you know, and we've listened to Arsenal fans over the years going, "Look, what a great job they've done, bringing these players in." They're probably the only slight, they probably get thrown at them, is they haven't brought in and out, and they'll go all together in that time. But he's overseeing, you know, probably not a 500 million quid word of talent brought in. They still sit there with an FA Cup, the one in May 2020, as they're only retouring on it. But you know what, you know, do you know what Kat Moyoy today, when he said he was gone, it brought me back to the Man City Agnes, with the Premier League a couple of weeks, go over sponsorships and things like that. And one of the big arguments in it was clubs, not a restriction to be put in place, but with clubs getting basically interest-free loans from shareholders and having no kind of length of deal on it. So it's just an open-ended loan. So when it comes down to, you know, if Liverpool got a loan off FSG for $250 million and it's over five years, that's 50 million a year off your books because you have to pay it. Whereas Arsenal's name come up because it was like, Arsenal could be in trouble here because these actually have some of these open-ended. So they just reduced the amount, they put on their books, to declare, to suit them. You know what I mean? They just go, "No, this is an open-ended thing." And they're in the income up a couple of weeks ago in that Man City thing and I thought, "That's interesting. I wonder what way that will affect the Arsenal going forward with regards to their sport and director or at head themselves or their ability to bring in players, you know, of the looks of Royce, $140 million wherever it might be." And that's just why, that's just why they kind of got me to the time. But it's not the best timing, is it? You know, don't get me wrong, there's no way I would have primarily race or anything like that. They just don't look as, I don't think they look as quick, as strong as you were in that period. I think as well, Gav, the transfer window that they had now looks like it's got gaping holes in it as well, done it after, you know, Califiori, and who else did the Britain? They still needed that striker and now, like, that's what a lot of Arsenal fans wanted and they haven't got and, yeah, like them losing games now and obviously they're lots of elder guards, massive, but other teams are able to lose players and still continue, so I don't know, I genuinely didn't expect it to go like this. And now, like you said, they're not at the title race, but I'm really, really surprised that, what a weekend for City to lose Arsenal to get beat and then, you know, Liverpool there, what you say. Come on, slot, ah, new slot. I get on, I get on to them in a bit because I've said it from the very start of the season, on multiple trials here and anyone that listened to me, which is not an awful lot of people will listen to me, but I've said there's not a lot of deferring this league this season. I think, just looking at the lack of business that you've done and I think it's so hard, when you're winning and winning and winning, even if you're cheating, it's hard to keep going unless you bring new faces in and, you know, it's a constant challenge for people. I looked at Arsenal, I taught Lanceys and took an awful lot out. I think, you know, you're not either a mess. I think Chelsea have so many players that will take them away to really walk out who they are and what they're trying to do. I think to go to sports is an absolute spover, a really, really deal. And I just thought Liverpool aren't the finished product, but, you know, they don't have to finish the article whatsoever, but there's enough holes in others there that Liverpool might have a chance because they finished touring the league last season and possibly denied themselves the title because of the last seven or eight games where they just, they fell apart. You know what I mean? Everything went down. It's your emotional, you know, club was leaving, so it's in, look, I'm not saying Liverpool will win the title, but I'm not telling you they won't, you know, that sort of way. And just the time that this were wrestling is a bit, I feel like I said it last week, I feel like they're on a noise edge, every game you play, every post-match reaction is on a noise edge from Arsenal media or fan media, does not look it straight for our games. Every decision against them is a conspiracy, it just feels like, you know, when, when, when then things started to happen, you feel like people are clutching and when your manager is telling out now lawyers during the week up to coming up to a Liverpool game about injuries and post-match saying I'm so proud of them considering the situation that they're in, the situation they were in is they had the same amount of injuries as Liverpool. You know, it's, it feels a bit like that and then, well, like, they must have planned all that summer, done all that work, and then nine league games, in 10 league games, he's ill. Yeah. It's, it's just weird job. I'm not saying, it's not a conspiracy theory, there's way more to this, it's just a weird meal, I think. Yeah. Yeah, it is. I don't, to go to forest, I can marinaki, so he's a bit of a bad one, I don't get that move unless he's getting the big bucks, like, that can, yeah, he's getting big, big money and he'll be overlooking a couple of the clubs, you know, it won't be just our forest, he'll be overlooking coin of everything with regards to player movement and stuff like that, but maybe it is just the case of, listen, he's offering me fucking scandalous money here, you know, and there's probably enough people within that organization that if it goes wrong, he can coin the dolew, it's impact on it and go somewhere else and do something else, but very nice words out of it, they will even, you know, ask them in my heart, such a hard decision to make, and I was like, yeah, that was really mighty, buddy, you know what do you think the Arsenal fans will be rejoicing, I think a lot of them will actually, because a lot of them will, well, God only knows, because they're fucking schizophrenic, and you are the absolute need intervention, like, it's phenomenal to carry on, and I don't know, I think, look, if Eddie was real or to go and torn down this group of clubs to overlook, they'd be saying, look at Eddie, he's amazing, he's this time, Eddie was gone and all of a sudden, you know, it's all Eddie's fault, because we have one, you know, this sort of thing, but that's the way people are, I know there's Joe, like, it's just one extreme to do that, there's no flat line anywhere, there's no common ground, it's just madness, but I just thought I'd bring that up with the start, because it's something that happened today, and over the weekend though, some cracking games on in fairness, I'll go back to a team we've just mentioned, Man City, they don't look that formidable, they look, I think they look soft, if they don't have rotary on the side, and they've been beaten there by Barmer and I know it's till one, but by all accounts, Barmer should have had four or four if, and they go away to Brighton next, listen, the grando going on, I'm in the league, Joe, you know, we know how this works, we know this game at this stage, but they do look, look just frail, these there, and the squad isn't massively deep, and their best players over the season, and their second best player, they can't go on the pitch, because he's not fit, that's where I keep going back to, I think it's a real chance for a couple of clubs around them, they don't look at their imperious best duty. No, definitely not, I think Harlan's seriously gone off the boil as well, I thought we were getting sort of him back after he scored a couple, was it in the Champions League where he got a brace, yeah, that was it, and I was thinking, all right, okay, hello, here we go, and then obviously they play Southampton, I think he, did he get the solitary goal in that one, I think he did, didn't he after about four minutes, and then they only win that one, or one nil, weren't it, and then, yeah, they are, they're just not clicking Foden's not turned up to go from the player of the year last season, to just, I don't know what's going off there, like you say, De Bruyne isn't being injured, he is in and out, no rotary, Kyle Walker's in and out, because they're playing Rico Lewis some weeks and stuff, so I think, you know, Gavadiol's having a good season, I really rate him, but I don't know what's gone off at City Light, you said it's, I remember like Gary Neville, I know probably not the best person that spoke about on a, yeah, but yeah, no, but when he, when he spoke about, it's always difficult to lift yourself off to the treble, and they managed to do it to get a fourth, but that's like the record, and it's like you said it's had, maybe it's just hard to go again, and they didn't have a great transfer window, Savino's look good, don't get me wrong, but yeah, Dokku being out is a massive, not Dokku sorry, Oscar Bob, because my mate actually was mentioning Oscar Bob a couple of seasons back for a long for Leeds, and he was raving about him then, so then obviously this season, he started the season pretty well, and then he gets a leg break, Tony I think he would have been a real ace in the pack for him this season as well, so yeah, it's just, it's just not working out there, and for him to lose, I mean, Bob, I've got a good side under Iriola, don't get me wrong, and I think Iriola will end up getting a big job soon, not soon, but in the future if he continues in this trajectory, but yeah, man, it did surprise me, I can't lie, it did surprise me, and then when you hear wow, you know, I was watching the Leeds game at the time, but I have Twitter notifications and that, and it was like, they should have had a third, and it was like, oh my God, they're absolutely getting pumped, so quite surprised me in all honesty, be interesting to see how they bounce back, yeah, look, a couple of comments on Garris' faulting has been very poor this season, Chris reckons he needs a midfield rebuild, Kieran says that Gondigan is being well off, you know, I thought that signing, you know, Garth, I thought that was one of them, I went, ah, that is a real issue, bringing him back, look how impiverly was the year they won the treble, all that sort of stuff, and like he says, just not, he's not been nowhere near when the player that he left, and he's only been gone a season, you know, yeah, how much is it, because sometimes he says here, it's telling that he went back for Gondigan, when he would never have done that, maybe before they would sign, before they would sign the next Gondigan and spend over 100 million, and someone else mentions there, it's actually Sam as well, it says the player has no peppers off next summer in his opinion, how much is that in their head, because there is, I think he's, I think he's on the under contract, the next summer, um, 20/25, you have all these charges hanging over them, it was a big hullabaloo made over it, you know, city won a case there a couple weeks ago when you actually read it and nobody won, city pointed out all the stuff, a minimal amount of stuff have to be changed with the Premier League, and it's not going to change anything with regards to sponsorship and stuff like that, but how much do you think it's hanging on them, where, as it gets closer to D-Day, because I think I want to say that that hearing is probably just about over, um, six weeks after the middle of September, and it's looking like February the result will come out, and then there'll be a, there'll be some sort of, um, you know, some of the poor protesting against that are, they'll appeal it, but we'll have to be done by the start of May I think, because there's huge ramifications possibly here to not only the Premier League, but the Championship League won League tier one, possibly an extra team from each division having to be moved up in order to get CE in if you were to go to League tier one, that's where I want them to be, um, just for the record, but how much do you think it's playing on them, you know, playing on these we've won four, you know, we've won a Champions League, the manager's possibly gone, the broing that looks like he's fucked, you know, Rodriguez out for the season, and we've brought up a gun with a great player, but that's, that's in the past, you know, and they have this hanging over and where they could get to the end of the season, and they're League tier players. Yeah, imagine, imagine, I don't think we'll do it in England, you know, we're not like Italy, you know, like Italy, they've just been them off, remember what happened with you being stuff, I don't know, I think the English Premier League, we're too worried about city and court cases and all that sort of stuff, I don't know how they're gonna, they're gonna deal with it tonight, but yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see in it, and if they are found guilty, then all them titles will be tarnished and all that sort of stuff, it's just gonna be a bit mad, but I think they'll get off, like they'll come to an amicable agreement that both won't want the nosers put out of join, I don't see how, I think Arsene Bengid said it a couple of weeks back, you just don't see how, that you know. You see, my argument to this job is, and I'm definitely repeating myself to the people that watched this show, but I'm not repeating myself to you because I haven't spoken to you very, my argument here is that, you know, they won't want to know those that were joined, I get all that, you know, but my argument here is, there's 19 other stakeholders involved in this, and actually, there's no, there's probably up to 20 stakeholders involved in this, if you go across the seasons, where C were in this division, okay, between 2011-2018, and plus they made the, if they're found to be guilty, they made the foundation in those years to go on and do what they've done in the preceding years from 2018 to 2024, which is, I, it is the most successful period, right? So, so even if, like, Leads could hold on, we were competing in a league against them, and we got relegated, and these are doing this, because, after the back of what they've done here, they were able to go and stay in this league, it's not really, so I, I kind of, I get where you're coming from with regards to, you don't want to know those that were joined, but there's other stakeholders there, massive ones, right, that will turn around and go, "Well, hold on, you charge them with this, you charge one of these charges, we fucking know they've done it," and they've walked away with this sort of punishment, like a 50 million pound fine, which is nothing, it's like finding me a yield for it, for doing this, you know, to start the way, and other clubs will have to turn and go, "This, this is no longer tenable, this Premier League is no longer, if they're found guilty, you know, it's no longer tenable for us to play in it," and then I think that the Super League comes back onto the table, because why should, like, I'm not a fan of the Super League because I think it kills domestic football, right, but why would any of these teams keep playing millions and millions and millions into their teams, their infrastructure, everything else to know that this crowd over here can do this, and we just keep playing one, like, not in the box, so, I think if they're found guilty of anywhere north of 40% of these charges, they shouldn't be in the Premier League. The family that vacations together stays together, at least that was the plan, except now the dastardly desk clerk is saying he can't confirm your connecting rooms. Oh, wait, what? That's right, ma'am, you have rooms 201 and 709. No, we cannot be five floors away from our kids. Uh, the doors of double locks, they'll be fine. They're one of America's largest financial services companies. Like how I'm more than just quarterback, Peyton Manning, I'm also meditate Manning. For your insurance and financial needs, Nationwide is on your side. Nationwide Investment Services Corporation and Brifindra Columbus, Ohio. Are you crazy? The only place you can go is League, too, because it's not fair to move teams down to facilitate them. That's what you just have to do. You have to move teams up to facilitate them. You have to put them at the bottom and move everyone up. So for the championship, you have the top two go up, all right, and the two winners of both semi-finals in the playoffs, both go true, there's no final, because they both go up, because far go up and far go down. You know they start the way. I just think it is a factor in C. I think they could still go on and win the league, but just by looking at them, they just look soft to me. They look like they're getting a bit tired, and they could be talking absolutely nonsense, but that's where I am with them. You know what in Chelsea drew one all? What a terrible game by the way. A awful game, and I think I have a bit of an opinion of Kyle Palmer doesn't turn up for Chelsea, I think Chelsea struggled a little bit, and I'm just thinking later off. What do you reckon twammering, Garvey, you're concerned about when you're not potentially being fat? I don't know enough about the job. The only thing I knew about him was that he was linked to the Liverpool job. It's a fact that he wasn't offered to Liverpool job. He was in the running for Liverpool job. It's been reported today by Paul Joyce, who's very, very, very, very, very reliable when it comes to Liverpool that there was one man offered to Liverpool job in the summer, and that was Aaron Asla. The only thing I know of him is, if you agree between the loins, apparently he was asking for colossal money at Liverpool, like, Martin, he's getting a Manchester United. Well, he tried to do that West Ham thing, didn't he? He talked up in London and twice to let Liverpool know he's gone to speak to West Ham when he's never gone to West Ham, and Liverpool just go, yeah, fair enough. And he goes back and has to make an apology to the sport in Lisbon. He's also come out with a call to now saying that this is the job he wanted Manchester United. Which is nonsense, because it's as much nonsense as it is that Gary Neville said that there was no stand-out candidates for the Manchester United job in the summer when he was in the middle of defending Erich Tanhag, because Ruben Amram was available in the summer openly. You know, he literally had a four-sales, so he still was fucking at it from also the summer. I don't know what to make. He's doing really well in Portugal, but I struggle to say how any manager gets the tune over at O'Rourke's squad, because then he does well. Well, I just think they're all about themselves, and I think once anything in the game goes wrong against them, it's just like they feel sorry for themselves. The motivation goes over, and that's it. Just one question on that game, though, the Sander Martinez is a tackle-and-call primer. Red, I know red. I don't think it's a red, because I get what they were saying when they were saying, "Oh, he's tried to do him and all that sort of stuff." I'm not too sure. Does the slip help him? That's what I'm saying, yeah, because it's like, if it had a connected full force, I'd probably be saying something different. I think he could have connected full force. Maybe I'm, and to be honest, he's got form for it, so I'm probably chatting rubbish, but I don't know. I didn't see the old pro that even afterwards when Jamie Redknap at them all going, "Yeah, he's tried to do him." I was like, "I'm not sure. I don't know. Is it a red for you?" I think the slip helps him, and I actually think the decision against Bruno Fernandez a couple of weeks ago, against sports, helps him as well, because Bruno Fernandez slips into that, and does Madison, and he gets a red, it's over-torn, and I think, no matter what people say to me, the PJ M.O.L. of the little chat show in the week, and if that happens again, we can't give a red. If they give a red for that, again, and it happens to be over-torn, then, you know, where he meant to turn. No, they're apart, the PJ M.O.L. I think the standard of officating is terrible, but I think the slip probably gets him away. If he plants his left foot, and he catches Carl Pan with his Roy Dalhoy up on the knee, it's a red cat, because he's planted himself there, and he's gone in. I think the fact that he slips, I think his other leg is actually trying to get down towards the ground, and I think it just happens to stay up there because of the slip, and it's probably a yellow. But, you know, I'm not going to argue with someone if they tell me it's a red, because the rules of the game and if you carry on out of referees every week, but that was a game where I drew one all. Spores be villa for a one. Spores are a mad team, right? They want me to focus on terrible, and the next week they can score for. Yeah, yeah, and they've got, do you know what, they've got hip switch next weekend as well, and I could see them absolutely battering it, switch. So, Lanky Getting Goals was important, mate, because there was talk, I mean, I don't even think he'd had shots on target in the last couple of games prior to the weekend, so it was big for him to get a couple of goals. I do like him. Yeah, Johnson involved as well, son getting back. It's going to be tough for Spurs in terms of top four, which I'll see having a decent season. We'll have to see what Amarin does, but that's what the rear must be, right? Or maybe even the Carabao Cup, I know users still in it, right? You stayed in the cup, didn't you? Yeah. But you know, I'd like to see, not so much Spurs, but I genuinely, I don't mind having me, so I would like to see him win a trophy. So, Carabao Cup for Spurs would be all right, I think. I think, but you see, my thing on him is, is that if you're going to manage in this league, I think you need to be able to adapt at certain times. Like, your club comes into the Liverpool, and it's all about running around fucking, like, the only things, you know, high pressure, pace to the game, you know, whatever. And then, as you go, as you watch as he goes along, he starts to, let's have more possession. Let's sit off the ball a little bit. Let's control, let's pin teams in, let's not make a game, a tennis sort of thing. And he goes on, I just don't see that in this field. I see this fellow going along on, and trying to be as outwardly nice as he can, will be in so pig headed behind the scenes, whereas, like, I'm playing fucking on the halfway line, I don't care, you know, but the day they get to send up against Chelsea, and he plays them all on the highway, asking Chelsea to play in behind them, like, you know, mad stuff, but... Do you know what? He's got shades of, he's got shades of my, my solo, and I'll be also in terms of my way, and I don't care about it. Yeah, maybe so, yeah, maybe so. But, but the thing is, like, when I, when I look at them, and you're saying care about Cup, I think you might be spot on, because I think that might be his limit there. I genuinely think that might be his limit there. I think that style of football without being able to change and adapt will haunt you. Like, if sports come around forced to January and they were three points out of the league, top of the league, I wouldn't be only worried about them, because you have to adapt to different games in the running, you have to be able to dig in at times, you have to be able to go a team, you have to be able to just type, put teams to the sword. And I don't think they can adapt. And I think that's, that's where he might fall down, but it was a good win for sports. I hold the villa a little bit, but there you have that in them, I think they have where they're really good, and they're winning in Europe, and then they just throw in a draw, they threw a barber last week, they've lost this one, so they dropped five in the last two games. And I think you're gonna get a little bit of that from villa this season, because of the European stuff, and I know the Europe last year, but this is a different kind of fish, this is... Do you think they can get top, top four again though? Villa, I think the Europil, yeah, I think, I think the moi, I think, you know, when you look at it... It's a good manager in a yembré. Yeah, he just goes really good. You don't go, you don't go winning, like the robo league every season and not be gold. Do you know what I mean? I think ours are too quick to get rid of them. I agree. But I think they moi, I think they moi get in there. I think new cars will be up there, I think new cars will improve. I predicted them on another show before season started and said they'll be up there because of the no European football, and they haven't started great, but they've started to pick up a few results, and they suck scoring again, so it wouldn't surprise me, you know? Yeah, if you keep him fit, and of course, I think Chelsea will be around there. I think the top three will be the top three. You know, what we think is the top three, I think the top three will be the top three. And I think it's the top three, I think it's the top three of them. New Castle, New Castle, Villa. Spores my show, but if interest, don't really, I've brillianted them. Bright my show, go around. What about forest? Well forest, Chris Ward, Chris Ward is just an authority, he's a farmer again, which is pretty mental, but look, there was all around, it was a brilliant weekend for Liverpool, with regards to results. Just going to the other end of the division, because, you know, what comes out of the championship last season is, um. Switch lessons. It was the lessons at Hampton. There's at Hampton have been just so naive, and I actually think, I hate to say, they remind me of late when late come up, when they were naive, and it was like, they stopped fucking trying to play like that, you know, the sort of way. And other teams have done it, where they come up with the thing. We just keep going, bonley last season, fuck me, you know what I mean, bonley. But, so time to get a win against everything. And to Hampton like to play that football out from the back, if switch can't how, hold on to a late, you know, and Leicester are kind of, you're calling the nearly forgetter there, unless you're playing them, Leicester. Yeah, yeah. Has any, has any of them surprised you in the way you started to league in terms of they're doing better than they taught, or their genes, they're doing terrible. I didn't think they would. To be honest, I thought Ipswich would have been better. I thought they'd have surprised a few people. They were a real surprise package in the championship. I thought they bought okay. Bought more so for the championship, but, but I thought they'd surprise a few. Southampton, I'm not big on him. I don't like the manager, to be honest. I don't like Russell Martin. He's another, he's another Frank Lampard to me, that guy. So I can't get on board with him. Leicester's interesting because obviously they had Mariska, and obviously he's moved on. So they'd have maybe potentially gone the same way as some of the others, because the level of player isn't nowhere near as good as Mariska's got at Chelsea. And it's a totally different ball game playing in the Premier League. But Cooper coming in there, I think Leicester might be all right. I think the other two will go down, and it'll be one other. I'm not sure, Leicester are in that conversation. But no, to be honest, nothing surprised me. I'm a little bit worried that maybe the gap now, he's getting too big between those that get promoted and the rest of the league, if I'm honest, because it seems to be the three that go up, the three come down, the three that go up. You might get one that stays, but then they normally serve. Yeah, but it's two, I would three miles a year. Yeah, yeah, but I'm just hoping, yeah. Do you think, I think Borley possibly done this, Sheffield United most certainly did, where they come up, and they, well, maybe not Borley because they spent a few years with it, but look, if you take Sheffield United, what do you do in the Premier League last season, they might have been? And do you wear it? Yeah, Sheffield United will match last year. Yeah, so but they come up, right, and spend the next four car. And if the deal was like, who the fuck is he? And it's nearly like clubs are coming up and going, listen, go up, get your 100 million. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fuck this four season, forget it. Drop back down, you get your parachute payment going back down. You have a top end championship, fucking squad, and anyway. And then go back up, which means in the space of two years, you're getting 200 million injected into the club. And then try and make it go over. It feels like championship clubs are starting to, well, they can't handle this a little bit. Yeah, yeah, I think they are doing that. And there's obviously with this regulator coming in, there's conversations about potentially doing away with them because it's creating a gap within the championship as well. If you're a parachute payment team, you should be going back up, or at least be at the top end. Obviously, Luton are having a stink of this season under Robert Woods. But normally that is the case, you're right. Like Lee Janite, or obviously, because they always as a fan base, the worry is, if you get to the third year parachute payments, you're in the shit. Because if you don't go up that year, then you've got all these players on big wages. And they're reduced now, Andy. And the parachute payments... Yeah, they're reduced every year. Yeah, they're reduced every year. There's only two payments now instead of three, isn't there? No, you get three. You get three, I think. Okay, I thought we'd do the two. Maybe it might be two, because I know for a fact we've got to go up this year, because obviously we lost a lot of players last season. He likes to sum a vellum, rudder and stuff, so yeah, we've got to go up. But if Lee gets to go up, right, we might as well go on to Lee, it's because you built him and stuff. And we call him the cover to Premier League. You tell me Liverpool are wearing the leg, and I'll call you happy with that job. Yeah, I like it. I'll get a serious answer after that before the end. But when you look at Lee, it is the hardest league in the world. And I said it before we come on. It's the sort of thing where I don't ever want to see Liverpool in it. But if someone said to me, listen, you must go and follow a team for the season in the championship and go home and away. I think it might be the best year of your life, because it's bananas, this league is. Yeah. Like, it's just every week, like, you go to put a bet on, and you go, I'm not picking anyone in that fucking championship unless, you know, because you just don't know what's going to happen. You know, that's all the way. Leads are looking well, sons are looking well. But I look around them and I kind of think it's a real marathon, not a sprint. You have to have the normal day. You have to be able to just torn over two points again. And that's what you need. You need 90 plus points now. And do leads feel like they're in that position? Yeah, man, massively. Like, we finished on 90 points last season, and obviously didn't go up, which is the first time in the event. Us and Sunderland did it a few years back, but normally 90 points gets you up. But last year, you add three teams on 90 and Southampton on 87. So then four teams just ran away with it. This season, it's more like a normal championship season. Anybody can take points off anybody. At this stage last season, less than 36 points. I think the top of the league's got 24. So you can see just how good they were last year. But yeah, look, the end of the day, Gav, we're dominating teams. Like when Rooney's Plymouth came the weekend, they didn't have one shot. We've conceded in the last four games, three shots on target. Like defensively, we're posting up crazy XG against numbers. And I know it's mad because we're not top. But a lot of that has been, you know, we had the error against Sunderland. If we win that game, we're top, you know, we had a penalty decision against Norwich. If we win that game, we're top. So, you know, I fully expect the United come game week 46 to be top of the league. And it might come across Oregon or whatever. And I get told that by all the champions, our same old leads. But the team, the squad, it's just too good for the division, Gav. Like we've got, I mean, even we're losing a guarantee, Gray, some of them will lose on them. You've still failed. I would argue the squad's more balanced this year because of that. Because we've got midfield five, right? If Ampedo and Groev, they're both injured. And then our second... Of course, Ampedo was playing a center back, wasn't he last season. Yeah, last season due to an injury at center back. But he's preferred positions midfield. But we then bring Joe Rothwell in, who was at Bournemouth, who got promoted with Southampton last season. We've got a guy mate called Al-Tanaka from the second division in Germany, Japanese international is absolutely phenomenal, genuinely. Like he, if we don't go up, he will go to a Premier League club anyway. I could see Bright and all over him. Um, Gullavorg is just coming as well. We got him on a free, who was at Aflatico Madrid, Volsberg. You know, I mean, he's at the twilight end of his career. But obviously he's coming, he got roared on at the back, Strouk, Jaden Bogle, Thirpo. Who by the way, Thirpo is all of a sudden grateful back. Brandon Aronson smashing it in the championship. Probably Maury's level. Joel Perro scores goals. So yeah, if we don't go up, go have it. It's not like, yeah, we've got to go up. We will go. No more. I'm back. I can't wait to be back, by the way. I cannot wait. Well, the same Jabaka will be asking about your manager and his inability to manage in the Premier League. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But, you know, we know me and you about all the conversations coming a long time. It will be, yeah, yeah. Um, but now look, it's, when it comes to me, it's, I do look around and I think to myself, even Sunderland, I don't know if Sunderland can last the pace. I just don't, right? And I kind of standing out to be there. Whereas last season, I think you're right. I think Southampton being there, Leicester being there from very early on, Ipswich were flying. It was kind of like, yeah, Leeds, a brilliant squad, but it was a toss-up because you felt like Leicester had that Premier League experience from the season before you had, and then you just had Ipswich, that seemed to come out in nowhere. And it was, and you were playing great football and they were digging in and winning games. And from watching the holidays last year, it was like Ipswich one week, we just tear the team apart. And then they go away, back to the wall, if they needed to, and get a one-nil and come away, and you're like, yeah, that's what you need. Um, but I do look around that league, the only thing to be said, yeah, Leeds are probably the, I understand they'll kind of, and then when they come up, if and when they come up, then they have to make that decision. Where did they go? Where the guys in silence, do they, do they, my argument, when the team's with the Premier League is, you don't have to dismantle the squad. If you add two good defenders, two good midfielders, and two good attackers, make six silence, okay? Keep the same numbers in, but the guy that was reserve is no longer there. The guy that was up front here is probably the reserve, but he wants to fight for his place. And I don't think you have to go mental. Well, and people will say, well, that's 12 players, but it's, it doesn't feel as much when you're moving the division, especially up that one. It's a huge, huge jump. Um, and it'll be interesting to see what they do when they come up. I, I agree with you. I think, I think September will go back down. Ipswich can't hold the lane. I just don't think the squad's big enough. And I actually think less will stay up, because I think less will just sit in amongst the pack there. And, you know, and just, like... The world goes down for you then. Um, if the world is right in any way, it's everything. [Laughing] Because how do you stay in the league is beyond me? I'm telling it. I, I don't know. I keep waiting on wolves to do something. I'm gonna quarrel the way into the season that he haven't. And... They feel like a club that could get picked off in January with a couple of players again. Wolves feel to me like they're on a demo progression fast. After all, the, you know, that age and boy was involved. Yeah, yeah. Bring a player on the other scene to be slowly, which will be disappearing, and I love carrying on him as a coach. I like him when he speaks. I like him because I think he's being. He's good. I think he's being very hard done, boy. With a lot of decisions, probably them the most of anybody, and I think statistically, they probably are. But wolves would be the worry for me. Everything would, everything failed to me that they'll just be the 17th best team of the day of the season. They'll get to the stadium and, you know, all of the roles in the Guardian, which I want, they're, they're, they're milked, they're, they're takeovers. Doesn't go true from what I can, from what I can make out. And, you know, they've such so much fucking debt, and the stadium is going to solve it. People think of will, but it won't. Like, Arsenal go to the Emirates, and it takes them 10 years to put themselves back on a phone to get themselves where they want to be. Yeah, it brings them our revenue, but it takes so long to get a fucking back. Do you know the sort of way? Um, well, I'd, if I was to pick one now, I think wars are in trouble. I think there's some goal players, but as on both sides of the chat, they're conceding way too many goals. I agree with that. And I don't think there's the fire power to keep up with that, unless there's a big sea change in what they're trying to do. Mm-hmm. Um, Ocean says... But they're still not scoring off goals, does he? And he's hoping to earn them. Yeah, yes, he just... Yeah, yes, yeah. Yes, yeah. But Ocean, yeah, Ocean says that there he says, "Woves need to wake up soon. Are they get that sinking feeling?" And that'll kick in, and they'll just go down. Um, but, yeah, at the moment, that's what I'm looking at. But, like, Palace have been terrible this season. But he beat sports, and he got a draw. They draw away to somebody yesterday. They draw away to Woves, actually, yesterday. And, but they all feel like, you know, when you look at a lot of teams, you think, "Ah, they'll just go on a run." It was a bit like barre material. He's already just voting with 10 games. Then he'll be in 7-0-8. And then he won't win for another fucking 10-0-12. But he won 7-0-8, so it doesn't matter. You know, the sort of way. Um, it's, it'll be very, very interesting as to who goes down. Yeah. If, if everything gets dragged in, though, if everything gets dragged in, I think they will go down, because I think the panic will absolutely set it. And even if that owner comes in, he's 30 days to affect things. Um, he's 30 days to affect things, and in January, and does he, does he risk it all to try to keep them up? Because if he, if he doubt, if he go down, then he's left with, but he's left with, like, he's left for a fucking 50,000, so he has to aid in brand Nilda in the championship. He's after a lot of players on big money, you know, the sort of way. I just think... Everything will hover around there, but everything happens in a point in the game at the minute. You know what I mean? It happens in a point in the game. Is it enough? I don't, it might be, actually. 28 points, might, might do it. But I just think if... The only way everything would go down is if they get dragged right into it. And, and in fairness, they hold on to Deutsch. Yeah, yeah. Which, do you think if that owner came in, he would bin him off? Yeah. I think so as well. Yeah. 100%. I think he'd be looking to come in and get his owner/manager bounce. And, you know, the two boys are in town here, the manager and the owner are going to do this. Um, because I just don't... Is it the owner, Roma owner? Yeah, yes. 'Cause, you know when Fenibachi played Man United, and then, uh, Mourinho gave it the all, oh, maybe I could go help someone at the bottom of the league. I was sitting, oh, ae up, roller on who comes in it ever, and then brings back Mourinho. Yeah, it is, it is the owner, Roma, from American Major League. Yeah, yeah. Um, 'cause the guy... I don't know if he's involved. Oh, you have Leon in your head. But I think that might be in someone else. But, um, but, yeah, with the bottom tree, I... It's Ipswich, it's Southampton, and... It's hard to argue against wolves. I know people send a long way to Global, or 10 games in here, you know what I mean? And you have to play with what you have to play with for another 10, at least before the window opens. You know what I mean? Um, so, yeah, it'll be, it'll be, uh... The interesting morning. It'll be interesting. Can I ask you before we go? Um... Yeah. Archie Gray. Hmm. I know someone will get his meal to West Ham. He's playing. Rotors getting the game and broiting, and they're playing really well. Archie Gray is going to be in a league at Spores, and maybe to be expected, is there an argument you should have went to Brownford? I mean, I'd have... As a fan of Legionatic, I'd have hated it. How do you go to Brentford? But you're probably right. 'Cause I thought he'd have featured more. Yeah. I genuinely thought he'd have featured more than he hasn't. Um... Yeah. Do you know what? There's probably a case for it, you know. I can probably see it here now in the cold light of day. Now that moverick is fucking, honestly, in the summer I was fuming. Um... But yeah, probably. And look at Bournemouth. I mean, they're lost tonight to Fulham, but they're a good side. They're really... Yeah, Brentford, sorry. Um, I really, really love Thomas Frank. I can't lie. I think he deserves a bit of a bigger job. I really like him. So I think he... Yeah. Yes. The answer is yes. He probably should have gone there because... When's he going to get that opportunity at Spores? Are they going to have to send him out alone? I don't know. You see, I don't know where he gets the opportunity. I know you feel like what happens, the cycle at Spores, what happens is, I think a lot of players get shoned up in Toronto when the, when the, when the, when the joining comes. A bit like Sessignon. Do you remember Sessignon got in front of the house? Yeah, of course, yeah. And it was like, where the fuck is he now? And then you, you get players that you come to know, what this player's going to be, this, this player's going to... And when it all settles down, the dust settles and another of Spores may him somewhere down the line, where he got rid of the managers and, you know, you've seen him with Conti and Mourinho and others. Yeah, yeah. It just feels like a lot of players got, you know, the other guy is the main one, the fullback. That was with Forrest. What was his name? Jed Spence, we had him on home last year. Yeah, yeah. Like he was the next big thing and then he goes into Spores next fall, he's not playing. And where is he now? You know, the start away and there you go. Like, and I just, when I looked at it, when I seen that happen and he's seen Brentford deal, except then obviously he was going to Spores. I was like, he could have done Brentford. He actually could have done Brentford a year or two and went and left Brentford for 40 or 50 million and went to, I don't know, a Spores or an Arsenal or a Liverpool Arsenal, you know, the start away. Just, it feels like he's taken too many steps at the one time, whereas if he just went from top of the championship to middle of the Premier League a year or two, he could have jumped up into a top six, top four. So when I say that, I mean, it's consistent, one of those, because he looks like an absolute player, to be fair. Yeah. See, I thought you'd have gone Liverpool, you know. I genuinely thought that was where he was going to end up, but... Yeah. Hey, how? You never know. I don't think that'll happen now on the other Spores. No, no. Listen, we could be talking about him in three years and he has gone to a Brentford from Spores and then he's looking to go back somewhere else because he's loads of time on the side. And he's a really, really good player. Well, he's still in the '18, isn't he? Yeah, yeah, yes, yes, yes. Loads and loads of time. Before we go though, serious question. The Premier League, who's impressed you the most, and who have literally you've gone? What has gone on? Well, well, Forrest have got me up there. Yeah. Forrest have got me up there. Didn't expect that. So yeah, and I'm happy for them because I like Forrest. Great thambes, huge club, you know. And so yeah, Forrest. I don't want to say I said that he... I didn't expect as much as this from Liverpool, but I never thought, you know, I think a lot of people just automatically correlated because he's bald and Dutch that he would be like 10 hard. Yeah. You know, that's it. That's as far as it went. And I... The way I looked at Slott, right, Lee United were linked to Slott for a period of time. Spurs were also linked to Slott for a period of time before they gave it to Nuno that time, I think. And then each time he's gone, no, no. And it shows me a man that he's well aware of his abilities, you know, and wanted to wait for that job. And he was right to do so because obviously he ends up rocking up at Liverpool. And I think the way that he's gone about it is fantastic. And it would... Can you imagine, like, I've had this conversation with Arsenal fans. On our setter, if Slott was to come in and win the league. Like, what does it say for the Arsenal project to five years, whatever it is now? He doesn't say a lot for it, does it? Because guess what? He hadn't even bought anyone either. Imagine you'd have got your Zubamendi or whatever. I've got a feeling he rocks up at City, by the way, which will absolutely be... That I imagine the booze he'll get when he's playing like, and rightly so. But yeah, I've been really impressed with him. Forest and... Palace surprised me without poor they were, but they've started to get results now. Because I was thinking, "Oh, and I'll tell you who." Which, to be honest, I did call Lopotege at West Am. I'm buzzing about it. I think it's hilarious. So, he was so hydrated in Spain. Yeah. Remember what happened at Wolves? And then, you know, are not good enough and then Gary O'Neill got... So, he's rubbish. Yeah, it just... It just feels to me like he's... Do you know what he feels like to me? He feels like 2004 Rafa Benite has in 2020, for our Premier League football. And that's where there was any fucking evidence. But it feels to me like he's trying to play a game where he's... He feels like he's so far behind him, what he's trying to do here. Or so... Out of the loop, you know, hasn't read the realm at all, where the guys are Premier League. Like, he's at Wolves. He's a fucking disaster. He goes away. And they get rid of David Moyers, right? Who's doing a fucking grand job. And they're like, "No, we want to be better. We want to be better." The same players that would have been great for David Moyers, right? That's what I don't understand. Like, from the crook and that. And then, this guy comes in and it's like, "These are awful. These are absolutely awful." And then, he beat Manchester City with a penalty. That's never a fucking penalty. And the lot of, you know, it misses one of the worst misses I've ever seen. You know, it should have been like, you know, over the hill and far away. And this is the annoyance so that we think are terrible. So I think that's a reflection of West Ham. They get beaten at the weekend, don't they, West Ham? They're beaten three by somebody at West Ham. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But we can't... Yeah, yeah, yeah. If they don't attend, don't they kind of remember who they get beaten by? But they are... Two of them. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But like, yeah, that's... I keep winding up my mirror. It was a West Ham fan scene. Is it time for Moyz in yet? Is it time for Moyz in yet? Actually, it's not. It's not too far from... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I don't understand what... If West Ham wanted to do something along these more of a football and football... Just go to Graham Potter and go here, the offensive, the job. Because he comes in, it's not like you're throwing the expectations right through the roof. He has primarily experienced a brilliant doing these sort of things that deserve it. And now this guy has taken on. And it would have been absolutely fun for us to course beat West Ham tree in the middle of the weekend. And it just made no... It's like West Ham are trying to be cosmopolitan. And it just doesn't fucking seem to... Yeah, yeah. Get yourself a good British manager that's going to want to play football. And there's more than a belt than it ever has been. And go and see where you go. But yeah, in which I'm not but hey, I just think it's... It's a mad scene. It's hilarious, Royce. Honestly, it's great. I think it's great. It's a mad scene. Yeah. I think that's us. I think we've done a great job, Joe. Fantastic job. Yeah, I enjoyed it, mate. It was great to chat to you again cos I'm a big fan of the trippers like in yourself. So yeah, it's good. Well, can I ask you one final question? Go on. Lasagna. Okay. Right. Yeah, no, don't really lose me. This is a serious question. Okay. So you're having lasagna, Joe. Do you like lasagna? Yeah, I love lasagna. Okay. So what do you have with it? Is it acceptable to have chips and cold slaw with lasagna? I don't have cold slaw now, cos my lasagna's warm, so I don't like cold with warming. Yeah, okay. But chips and lasagna are all day. Okay. Chips and lasagna. No, it's just a question that's open up. Do you know there's a thing where I live? I live in T-side. I'm originally from Yorkshire, but I live in the northeast now. Yeah. And there's a thing called a chicken parmour. Do you know what a chicken parmour is? No, it sounds. It's something but it's in your middle's breath, so I don't think it is. Yeah, no, so it's not. So but it's absolutely gorgeous, but it is exclusive to T-side. So what it is is a chicken, a grilled chicken like with breadcrumbs on, squashed out like this. And then what we do is- So a chicken breast with breadcrumbs on it? Yeah, yeah. So squashed, right? And then what we do, you know, a vegetable sauce off of lasagna? The cheese sauce. They put that on top of it. And then you normal cheese, and then you'll throw like toppings on. So like I had one the other day, a chicken taker, chicken parmour. Oh my God, they are unbelievable gap. Like they're unbelievable. Much check them out because in Ireland- In Ireland, in the recent past in Ireland, gregs have shown up in the local shops. So you can buy gregs, frozen sausage rolls and- Yeah, yeah, that's a nice- These are selling their wings and stuff in the shops now. So you never know, some of them tees would make it onto the shops in Ireland and go, listen, get on this. Because we love stuff like that. Like we did, we love stuff like that. Like, you know what I mean? Yeah. A chip, a chicken parmour, is that what's called? Chicken parmour, yeah. Chicken parmesan. But chicken parmour, yeah. A beautiful man. Okay, right. We should, if you're ever in tees with knock around to go and stick his new tracks you on. And you bring them for a chicken parmour. Where we're ever tapping you on. But he has spoken. Don't have calls lower, lasagna. Because boy, lasagna is hot and calls lower, is cold. So there you go. Yeah, man. So it's been an absolute pleasure. Everybody was so excited when I said, me friend who's a part of Leeds is coming on tonight. They were like, "Oh, big Joe, I love big Jack." So we've traded this in the next couple of weeks again, where me and you just have a chat about the Premier League. Thanks to Joe for joining us. Thanks to all the members for watching. Leave a comment afterwards for Joe. Say hello and view any questions. I'm sure you look at the comments afterwards. And answer you. That has been the Talking Cup. Talk to you soon. All right.
