The Broncos getting a nice win over the Carolina Panthers 28-14 and Bonix having a great game in the process. And joining us now on the KW comment spirit health hotline is Bronco's sideline reporter Susie Wargent. Susie, thank you so much for your time as always. I was at the game yesterday and let me tell you, the Corgie halftime show was actually my favorite. No, just kidding. It was adorable. And that was a huge highlight of the game. No. The win was amazing, even though it was a little sloppy in the beginning, a little sloppy at the end, but we'll take it a win to win. You're absolutely. Yeah, kind of interesting to think about it, that they scored Carolina did on the first drive and the last drive, both of them off of turnovers, but then, you know, in between those bookends was 28 on an answer point. So we'll take that and like Sean Payton said afterwards, get a figure out, you know, little Jordan Humphrey Courtland, something they can't get rid of those balls. So got to keep hold of those. But otherwise, I mean, really, it was great. We got tight ends involved. Everybody got involved. It was good to see Courtland get back in the box score because he was missing and we were in New Orleans. So there was a lot of good they came out of yesterday yesterday, I guess was national tight end day as well. At least I heard the timing of it at the symmetry in the old days, maybe previous to Sean Payton. I wonder what the mood like would have been on the sideline when you give up that first drive and they score off a turnover. What was the mood like after that happened when Carolina got the ball and drove down the field? Yeah, I mean, I think it was so early in the game, Marty, it was hard to get a beat on what was going on because it was still, you know, it was the beginning of the game and you go, okay, well, hopefully this is not an indicator of what's to come and it was not thankfully. But I mean, a little bit of air out of the sales from the get go, which you don't want to see because it was a great crowd. I think there were 6,000 no shows maybe, but lots of orange, not as many Halloween costumes in the stadium as I thought that there might be because Halloween is, you know, coming up this week. But everybody was very into it. And then really as the game got going and the offense got going, the crowd got very much back into it, especially on defense on those third downs. They were very loud yesterday. So it got better. That's for sure. I agree, Susie. I expected to see a lot more Halloween costumes too. But there was a lot of masks for the Vamos Broncos team that they had, which I really enjoyed as well. Susie, I don't know if you were nearby if you saw this happen. I mean, it's the talk of social media right now. Was that interaction that we saw between Coach Payton and JC Horn following the game? Did you hear kind of what went down on the field? So not really. So I was very, very close to that because as one of the PR folks, Megan, we were walking to go find Nate Atkins because he was going to be my on the field interview. So as we're trying to find Nate and we've got the line on it all of a sudden, I see I'm like, whoa, Shawn's yelling at someone and someone's yelling back. And then I didn't see Horn yelling at him. I saw another guy that was kind of yelling, then Garrett Bull starts yelling and Megan and I are, you know, all of five feet, a few inches, these huge guys yelling. And I'm like, whoa, I've been in this situation before and it's not good. I do not want to be around if there are blows that are coming and there weren't thankfully, which was good. So kind of waited for that, but I was telling A.J. our producer, I'm like, there's some stuff going on right now. Because he's like, you're ready? I'm like, Oh, no, no, no, I don't have a nowhere near Nate right now. So it didn't last very long and I couldn't really tell what was happening because I've got an IFB in one ear and it's hard to hear out the other one when all that's going on. But, you know, it cooled down very quickly. We found Nate got my interview, but there was a lot of yelling and confusion right there at the, at the end. Well, and again, more of that odd symmetry, J.C.'s dad Joe was coached by Peyton at New Orleans. So it's not like J.C. isn't familiar with Peyton and maybe vice versa though, not in this kind of role or necessarily atmosphere, but we've, I found that very interesting though. It is a little curious and interesting coach, Peyton, doing some trick plays towards the end of the game when things were wrapped up and I'm sure that's what J.C. took Umbridge too. Oh, yeah. And that's, you know, basically what you're seeing, everybody that's been, you know, mentioning it and what it was and I mean, you know, it's one of those things and Marty, you've been around the game for a long time where, you know, when that happens, is it showmanship or are you just going to go say, Hey, let's see if we can make this work and try some things. We've got some games that are coming up that are going to be a lot more competitive and everybody, I think that's pretty obvious thing to say. So do you try some things just to see if they might work or is it you show boating, you know, and you can take two sides to that and, you know, make your argument either way probably. So like you mentioned, tough stretch with Ravens and Chiefs back-to-back weeks. What do you think really needs to be buttoned up, fixed and adjusted ahead of those two big games? Oh, the turnovers cannot have the turnovers. If there are turnovers against those teams, the Broncos will not be able to recover most likely. I mean, I shouldn't say not, but it's going to be very difficult to recover if you do it against teams like that because they'll just take advantage of it and you have to win that turnover battle. Be nice to see some more sacks. The defense had a couple more yesterday. Still just, I think, one behind the Giants, but the Giants played a night, so we'll see what happens. You know, defense has to be on top of their game and just cannot give that football up. It's going to be tough next couple weeks, especially on the road. We'll get you out of here on this. It is a social media question. We thought we'd ask, are you surprised as we approached the halfway part of the season at Denver Success, being five and three, being second place in the AFC West? Are you surprised by that? Never, Marty. You know what? I always think we're going to win, you know, 14, 15 games. So of course, I thought we'd be here. No. I mean, you know what? I'd hoped. You look at some of these and until the season gets going, you don't know how things are going to shake out. But I am very happy. I thought that five and a half, you know, that's what there were before in pre-season as far as an over-under. I thought they'd get the over on that. So now here we are, five and three. We'll take it. And the Broncos take on the Ravens in Baltimore this upcoming Sunday. RKOA coverage begins at 7 a.m., kickoff at 11 a.m., Broncos sideline reporter at Susie Wargin. Thanks, Susie. All right. You bet guys, talk to you next week.
