They've got to get much tougher. I'm going to go there in the next two weeks. I'm going to Springfield and I'm going to Aurora. That rally set for 1 p.m. on Friday. It'll be taking place at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center tickets limited to two per phone number. Joining us now on the Gayaway Commons Beard Health Hotline to talk more about it. As Aurora City Council Member Danielle Terensky. Council Member Terensky, thank you so much for your time as always. Well, this news coming across our desk yesterday afternoon. When were you first notified about the former President's visit? And do you have any other details on his agenda and his plans for Aurora and Friday? I mean, when he said he was going to come here, I didn't doubt it. I never doubted it. President Trump when he said he's going to do something, especially something like that. I think he's always followed through. So I never doubted that he was going to come. I started hearing real rumblings last week, and then I knew it was finalized this week before it was announced. You know, something like this though, and obviously with two attempted assassination attempts against President Trump. Secret Service is being very tight-lipped. It is very, very intense. And yeah, I have no idea. I have no idea what the agenda is. You know, the Gaylord is fairly close to the airport. I don't know if he's just coming in going to go to the airport and then, you know, going to head back out. I know he's watching the hurricane going on in Florida, and he's concerned about Marlago. He's concerned about the people of Florida. So I'm sure it may be a quick in and out for him. Well, I was going to go there, Councilwoman, because going to the Gaylord, it isn't the borders of Aurora's like saying you're going to Denver and sitting here where we sit in the Tech Center. I mean, is he really going to get to see Aurora if he's there at the Gaylord? I don't I don't know that that is his true intention. I mean, I think his intention is to come to have a rally and, you know, to bring people together. So yeah, pardon me interrupting, I apologize. So you don't think he wanted to see what has been said and what you have said. And I need to find out actually where you stand on this now, the Venezuelan gangs that he says in Aurora. He didn't want to come see them firsthand. I don't know that. I can't speak to whether or not he wanted to come see them firsthand or not. But here's what I can tell you and how this has just been so far misconstrued. Look, I moved the Romero's out on August 28. So we are now six weeks past that. They're not there. I mean, if you go and visit these complexes now, I mean, they are still in terrible condition. There is still no staff at any of the properties because they were effectively either beat up or run off of the property. You saw all of the arrests that started coming out. You just saw the 20 arrests made in San Antonio. You saw the arrests made out of El Paso with the hotel take over there. I think arrests were made out of the jewelry heist in Boulder, the jewelry heist in Denver. You are seeing a ton of arrests being made. And since this came out, since I moved the Romero's out on August 28, I mean, these apartment complexes have been so heavily flooded by the media. You know, just by people wanting to drive by, by police, by homeland security. It is a much different feel at these properties now than it was when folks like the Romero's were living there. So this narrative has really been misconstrued. You have people going out there today, yesterday, last week saying there's nothing. There's no gangs out here. There's no gate. Well, well, yeah, they've been, they've been chased off of the property. I mean, that that's what has happened. And there's been several arrests made as to whether or not President Trump wants to go see those areas. I mean, look, you're dealing with, first of all, for his entire motor, motorcade to go through Aurora and get to that part of the logistics that would come with that. Everything that would need to come with that. I have no idea. Is it a logistical issue? I'm sure. I'm sure he would like to visit parts of Aurora, but there is a hurricane coming that could directly impact him, his neighbors, the people of Florida. So I think he has that on his radar. You know, I'm thankful that he's coming at all to be quite honest with you with everything going on, but he made it. He's made it out to North Carolina. He's made. I don't know that the man is sleeping right now. Council member, all this really stemming from that viral video of the Venezuelan gang activity at Aurora apartment complex. It seems like they have confirmed some of the suspects in that video. You say now it's different. They've now all left the area. Do we know of any other arrests or updates have been made or if these people can be located in any way? Yeah, every single one of the men in that video have been identified. Homeland Security has positively identified every single one of them as Trende Aragla. And one of them, I believe, is in custody. I believe a second one. I'm waiting to hear of all of the arrests that were just made out of San Antonio. I'm waiting to hear if any of those are associated to arrest warrants out of Aurora. But I know for sure we do have at least one in custody. But from what I have been told by law enforcement is that they have all fled the state. So they are on the run. Who knows, you know, where they are, where they've gone, but they're being tracked. They are being, you know, there is a very solid effort to go after these gang members. And wrapping up with you, I know you have to run, but I wanted to ask, is the city going to get reimbursed for some of the detail when the former president comes in? Well, I haven't even been notified what the detail is. I don't know what the arrangement is that has been worked out with the Gaylord Hotel. Obviously, they're a private business. So I don't know what has been worked out with them. As far as any need for bringing in the Aurora police, you know, I have not been briefed on any of that thus far. So I will find that out. Again, former president Trump planning to visit Aurora on Friday. We'll have the latest and coverage of it throughout the week here on KOA Aurora City Council Member. It's Danielle Jorinsky.
