This is AP News. I'm Rita Folle. Mother Nature's letting much of the nation have it. Severe weather in several states. Dear lord, that'll, that'll scare you. Mindy Broton on Facebook. There were tornado watches from parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania to areas of Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Wisconsin was getting snow. An earthquake in Taiwan has killed at least nine people. The US Geological Survey says it was a 7.4 magnitude. Violent rain and hail storms have killed seven people in China this week. Americans here at home were divided on many issues, but a new AP poll finds that we still agree on most core American values. The poll conducted by the Associated Press and the North Center for Public Affairs Research found that nine out of ten adults surveyed believe that the right to vote, the right to equal protection under the law, and the right to privacy are extremely important or very important to the United States as identity as a nation. And 84% who answered the survey say they feel the same way about freedom of religion. The results of the poll have only small variances between Republicans and Democrats, except for the right to bear arms, which Republicans are more likely to see as core to the nation's identity. But only 30% of Americans who took part in the poll say the nation's democracy is functioning well. Donna Warder, Washington. This is AP News. Now to Donald Trump and a lawsuit the AP's Norman Hall has this. Donald Trump is suing two co-founders of Trump Media and Technology Group, the newly public parent company of his truth social platform. The lawsuit contends that the two should forfeit their stock in the company because they set it up improperly. The suit filed March 24th in Florida State Court follows a complaint filed in February by those two co-founders, Andy Latinsky and West Moss. Both were contestants on Trump's reality TV show The Apprentice. Their lawsuit filed in Delaware sought to prevent Trump from taking steps the two said would sharply reduce their combined 8.6% stake in Trump Media. I Norman Hall, a fire that spread through an Istanbul Turkey nightclub during renovations killing 29 people, was likely caused by welding sparks, igniting combustible material.
