I saw a person levitate during an exorcism. How much was the levitation? The person rose about a foot out of the chair they were in, because I'm looking at this in disbelief, and Father Carmine is praying the right of the church. The prayer is in his glancing over and looking, and he looks back at his book. He looks back at the person. He looks back at his book. Then he takes his hand, puts it on the head of the person, and pushes him back down into the chair without ever pausing for even one moment in the prayer. You're not going to want to miss this. ♪♪ ♪♪ Demonic possession. A fear and fascination that continues to arrest our imaginations. In 2023 alone, there were over a half-dozen exorcist movies that came out revealing that modern America remains intrigued by this ancient practice. But according to the tradition, demonic possession is not limited to an individual human soul. Possession can affect entire regions, indeed entire nations. It's what's technically known as territorial possession, where spirits, either benevolent or malevolent, exercise inordinate influence over a regional population. Meet Montz Sr. Stephen Rossetti, a Catholic priest who's the author of the book Diary of an American Exorcist. Their father Rossetti details why he believes that our nation is indeed under extreme demonic influence. Well, first of all, let me say this. I'm a veteran of the Air Force. I love America. And I think this country, greatest country in the world, and history of the world, has a real special calling. I believe that. I believe God's given us a special calling to promote human dignity and freedom and democracy in the world. We haven't always done that. And sometimes we've done that badly. But I think we need to be a bastion from all those wonderful Christian values. Excuse me. But, you know, doing this ministry, you know, you get a sense of Satan's footprints. When Satan's particularly effective or powerful in a place, what do you see? Discord. That's the first sign. Discord. Violence. Hatred. That's the first sign that we've done. It's the first sign that we've done. That's the first sign that we've done. Judgementalism. And what do we see in this country? The division is unbelievable. It wasn't like that when I was a kid. The terrorism. People didn't go into schools and shoot kids and innocent people. It's going on all the time. Why? Why? That's clearly Satan's footprints. The way we speak to each other now. Clearly violence and discord. The anger. My gosh, I drive down the street. The anger on the streets is just palpable. And by the way, I say the Leo of 13th Exorcism prayers every day for this country. And I think we need it. Again, I love America, but there are clear footprints of Satan these days. And we need to marshal our spiritual forces and pray. Now, to that list, interestingly, we can add something called echophobia, which is a hatred of one's own. It comes from the Greek echos, which means house or home. Echophobia, which of course refers to fear or aversion. Echophobia, the aversion or the hatred of our own Western culture, is a bizarre and unique inclination and disposition that's overwhelmed our cultural elite today. And the reason why that's so significant is because exorcists have observed that demons suffer from a horrific self-loathing and that they hate what God had originally created them for as angelic beings. That self-loathing, that self-hatred appears to have completely infected our nation in our grievance politics, our cultural Marxist universities, our CRT curriculum, the BLM riots in our cities and in our entertainment industries. It does certainly appear that our nation has come under horrific demonic influence. The question then is, what do we do about it? One of the things that we're going to have to contend with is the fact that so much of the rest of the world, the non-Western world, actually recognizes precisely this kind of demonic influence over our nation. In other words, we have to recognize it's not just Iran that thinks we're the Great Satan. Much of the non-Western world is talking the same way. They actually commonly refer to it as West Toxification, which they see as the cultural and political imperialism of the woke secular West that hates everything conservative, patriotic, and traditionalist. Indeed, the Russian geopolitical theorist Alexander Dugan actually sees Russian foreign policy as a form of spiritual warfare, and he's not alone. The Moscow Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church believes that Russia and the non-Western world are indeed in a holy war against the satanic tendencies of the West. Now, just to be clear, I'm not endorsing this or claiming they're right, I'm just pointing out here that world population see precisely what this exorcist sees for right or for wrong. And they're translating that perception, that perception of demonic influence into a foreign policy that's increasingly hostile towards the United States and the collective West as a whole. And I think given what exorcists are saying here in the United States, I do think we need to reconsider interpreting that foreign policy hostility as an animosity solely towards democracy and freedom. No, it's an animosity towards the fact that they think we've gone nuts. At least our leaders have gone nuts, and non-Western nations are not afraid to ascribe that insanity to nefarious spiritual forces. Besides recognizing that, all exorcists know that the ultimate cure to the malevolence that's infested our cultural institutions is prayer. In prayer, we realize we manifest once again who and what we were originally created to be, mediators between heaven and earth. This is the biblical vision of what it means to be human. We were given minds to think like the angels and bodies akin to the animals, and thus humanity bridges the place between the spiritual and the material. In the fall however, in humanity coming under the dominion of Satan, we lost that mediatorship and found ourselves under the dominion of the demons. Rather than being mediators between heaven and earth, we became subservient to the world, worshiping power, money, politics and career. We've collectively forsaken our calling to love and desire the creator in whose image we were made, and instead we lusted after images that we believed we could control and dominate, and yet they dominate us. And this is where the incarnation comes in. It's in the incarnation, God becoming man, that restores precisely this right vision of our humanity. Christ, being fully God and fully man, becomes the mediator of heaven and earth that we were always meant to be, and in uniting Himself to us, He restores that mediatorship to us, and thus enables us to once again become truly human. That is the way out of this demonic shadow that has been cast over our nation. It's always been the way, precisely because He is the way, the truth, and the life.
