But joining me on this episode per usual, my humble co-host student of the game, Young Terence Minifil Terry. How are we doing? And I am doing great. How is everybody doing out there? Glad you tuned in for another episode of the football function. Glad you guys are letting us come with you throughout your day. Hope you guys are just relaxing as you tune in to another mock draft, mock draft 2.0 here at football function. Yes, and we're going to be joined. It's not going to be just a typical mock draft. And because first thing first, it's episode 500. Like this more so feels like this feels like the last day of school almost. I don't know why, if it's accurate, if it's just because, you know, we're getting towards the end of spring, end of the summer, and you kind of have that vibe, you know, we're getting to the NFL draft, which is why we're doing these mock drafts. And the first one that we did was just you and I, see him as put one out as well. Shout out to him. But this is a very special time of year given that April is officially here. And because it's the first week of April, typically, at least for the last handful of years, WrestleMania is right around the corner. And we are lucky enough to be joined by not only patron of the year, contributor of the show, plum crazy, crazy takes, obviously you guys already know. But Howard Poole is going to WrestleMania in Philadelphia, WrestleMania XL. Like this is WrestleMania 40. And I've been on record multiple times saying that WrestleMania 20 was my favorite WrestleMania of all time. So the fact that now we're 20 years from WrestleMania 20, we're old, it makes you feel old, but also I just have a feeling that this is going to be a really, really special one. So we have a loaded episode we're joined like I just mentioned by Howard Poole. So before we introduce our other guests, Howard, how are you doing, but Howard? I am feeling great. We we head out to WrestleMania tomorrow. So definitely stoked to be doing that. And yeah, I'm excited to be here, man. Episode 500. It is wild that we're at that point. And I couldn't be asked for anywhere better to be than with you guys. Yeah, we couldn't ask for a better collection of voices here on the show right now for this episode because not only are we lucky enough to be joined by Howard Poole, but it's episode 500. And when it comes to the football function podcast, there's definitely some pillars that have been here from day one, people who came in along the way and they just have been a massive impact to the show. So obviously we wouldn't be able to do episode 500. It wouldn't feel right without having the host of the college football function. Cm cousin Mike joining us here on the show. So Cm, thank you so much for hopping on here and joining us for this monumental episode here on the podcast. So it's you. Hell yeah, man. I mean, it's it's only fitting, right? You know, been in been around, you know, pretty much from the start, you know, I kind of got grandfathered into this, you know, football function thing based, you know, of course, make sure that's the end of the fall. And so I'm happy to be here, man. Like I said, I was kind of disappointed, you know, that, you know, 500 was going to get, you know, recorded last night, you know, on my Boeing night, you know, that's Wednesday, but you know, things happen so on and so forth. But I'm kind of glad, you know, things got changed around so I could jump on this episode because, you know, I want to be a part of it, you know, I know I know I've done my due diligence and I've, you know, put in a lot of episodes for course, the college football function. But you know, it started with us, you know, collabing, you know, doing a lot of NFL stuff. So I am super happy to be here. And like I said, here's the 500 and then here's the 500 more. So I hope I'm here when we do episode 1000. So here's two of boys. Let's get into it. Yeah. I mean, because of the contributions that you've made and guys like double J goose, obviously grim reefer, Howard pool contributing, we've had people like Cameron Melendez, my cousin Thomas Philin, John Carrasco come on the show. I mean, I can literally go on and on for all the people that have that have contributed taking the time off the Caleb Grant weekly, sending in the flash drive, you know, weekly listener, not just someone who contributes to the show, but he actually downloads it as well. And that's helping the show out. So we thank him a lot. But you know, I mean, I tried not to you once the episode started rolling in at a really rapid rate. I started to not get too worked up over like the monumental episode. You know, like I really wasn't too psyched for 300 350 or even 400 200. I remember thinking, okay, that's pretty cool. Same thing with 100. Yeah, 100 was pretty awesome. But I was going to for sure get get excited for 500 to that's just that's a special number. Would want to be doing it any other way on any other day with you guys, you know, so thank you guys so much for joining. But like we said, you know, it's WrestleMania season. So we're going to change up the theme of this mock draft. We are going to go tag team style. We want to a little bit of a dueling mock draft. You're getting multiple opinions and not only that, but you're getting possibly like conversations about the pick between two people who might not agree, but they have to kind of come to terms on a certain player. So you're more so getting like a head coach general manager or just like, you know, a war room type of fail here. So hopefully, it's going to be a fun exercise. I don't think we've done anything like this. I was trying to think this is the first time in the past. So I'm really looking forward to doing that. And just because I picked evens last time whenever we had our mock draft, right, I want to go ahead and get us on the odd side. I know you picked odds, but that just adds to your familiarity with these team. So we're going to roll with the odds here. And it's going to be a layup. It's not even really a draft pick. The draft starts with number two with CM and Howard Poole. So we're going to go and start it off here. Number one overall, Caleb Williams quarterback at a USC. Pretty easy. I mean, it's not even there already going out to dinner with him. And then, you know, the trading of Justin still pretty much cemented. That was a huge factor of it. Any doubt, any people that did this was more pretty much, you know, when he gets a pretty easy pickable picks that was, you know, pretty pickable here in the draft. That was really not a lot of since wasting time on this one. Caleb Williams is going to be the next quarterback of the Bears. Yeah, it's easy to pick man. They've been alluding to this for a long time. So why not just slot that pick in and let's move on. Well, that leaves our buddies over here up at number two overall with the Washington commanders. Now I was kind of thinking about trades. I don't say no trades, but I don't think we need to because of, you know, we're just going to kind of roll through here and, you know, see what we can do with the board as it is and we'll let it kind of fall and, you know, let these guys put their stamp on this first round. So take it away, boys. Number two overall with the Washington commanders. Go ahead. See him. I'll go ahead. See him. You jump off and then we'll roll with it together, bro. Okay. Well, I mean, I think it's a, you know, cemented in stone. Washington is going to go ahead and get their quarterback of the future. But, you know, this is this is where it kind of gets kind of hairy in my honest opinion. You know, it was, you know, last year it was always Caleb Williams and Drake May. But now there is a new face jumping into the top five talking about quarterback play at least and Jayden Daniels, of course, the Heisman winner from LSU. So I'm thinking with the offensive coordinator in Cliff Kingsbury, the kind of wide open offense, you know, spread offense. I think Jayden Daniels fits that a little more of what Mr. Cliff Kingsbury is wanting to run. But I think this is a home run hit regardless if you take Jayden Daniels or Drake May. What do you think? Oh, yeah. See, I mean, this is why they paired us up. Great minds think alike. Yeah, I think this is Jayden Daniels. It's all the way. I like what he offers, you know, versatile quarterback, course, Cliff was working with Kyler Murray, you know, but he gets Jayden, who's a much larger quarterback, but can still do the running and the passing. I think him and Jayden are going to do something really special with Washington. They've got the wide receiver room to kind of set him up for success. So yeah, Jayden Daniels all the way here. Early in the process, I mean, because I'm a Drake May guy, like I do, I really do like Drake May, you know, just the prospect that he is. Now, I agree with you guys. I think that the pick is going to be Jayden Daniels, just from what I've heard since the combine and all that, all that good stuff, you kind of want your backup quarterback to resemble your starter, and they signed Marcus Mariota. So I kind of tipped their hand a little bit and obviously you never know what could happen. But I think you guys nailed it on the head. I think that it is going to be Jayden Daniels. And I think he's going to add new little dynamic to that offense that they really haven't had since RG3. And you just hope that RG3 and the way his story ended is not the same way. And it's not what happens to Jayden Daniels, obviously, Heisman Wooder, the comparisons are there, you know, and you just you just hope that things go differently for Jayden Daniels. Obviously, you know, they got weapons there. So I think that'd be a great situation for him to land in. Now here we go. Number three overall, you're New England Patriots. I'm going to let you kind of take it away here. What do you think they're going to do? Yeah, well, looking at our drafts, if it simulates anything, how it's going to happen, I think it plays in our favor. I think the guy that we want is is Drake May, you know, he resembles a person that we've had in our locker room for a long time. I mean, you know, he oozes, you know, you know, Tom Brady a little bit. So, you know, he has the just every throw that you can imagine every blade of grass could be hit by this kid. So I think he's got the NFL, you know, awareness of everything around him to lead a group of guys like the New England Patriots. So, you know, let's take him here at number three. So Drake May, I think that's pretty easy pick. If he's there at three overall trade calls, like phones are going to be ringing. I promise you the Viking, the Broncos, probably some sleeper teams, maybe like the repeaters would try to make a swing to go. I think we're going to hear a lot of a lot of phone calls for this pick. That's not a consolation prize either. You can get me. Not at all. I'm right there with you. I've had to defend Drake May at this point. It's damn near taking me back to my Matt Ryan days and I have no affiliation with Drake May. Do I think he's a perfect prospect? No. But I've just seen so many people just immediately say, well, North Carolina, he's going to be just like Trubisky or this is someone I'm like, dude, that's just telling me that you haven't watched this guy play because there's a big, big day front with, you know, what he brings. Obviously, there's some consistency things that need to be worked out a little bit. Yeah, little thing, little minor thing. No one's saying he's going to come and it just tear the league up from day one. But if he gets the right coaching, maybe lens in a situation where he doesn't have to start from day one, which could be a pretty good quarterback to start quote unquote week one, and then slowly you kind of ease Drake May into the start. It's definitely a pro to emulate your game from every day, just, you know, from life and then into game mode. Number four overall, Arizona Cardinals, we turn it to the tag team over there. I was trying to give him a tag team name, but you know, it's kind of hard, you know, and you got a dumber, just kidding. Oh, that's damn that. That's a little bit because obviously you got, you know, you got Howard pool, but we've been calling CMC and funk. And I was trying to think of someone that maybe could be like an ally of CM funk, but he's kind of, you know, a little bit of a drifter, a little bit of like a lone wolf. So it's kind of tough to paint it there. But anyways, I'll just go ahead and leave that aside. And I'll turn it back to you guys and we'll be going overall with the park. All right, cool. You're cool. Oh, yeah, I mean, easy. This is a slam dunk, right? So we're going Marvin Harrison, Jr. We're getting that that true elite wide receiver to go with Kyler Murray. And we're we're going to tell Kyler Murray, hey, you're running out excuses, brother, like, we're going to get you that elite wide receiver. You better you better start putting up the numbers. That's right. Yes, sir. You nailed it on the head. That's exactly what I was going on. Kind of similar to Caleb Williams. I mean, this isn't as easy of a pick as you could possibly make. I mean, if it wasn't for Caleb Williams in this draft class, and Marvin Harrison would probably be number one overall, and that's something that we haven't seen a wide receiver do. Excuse me, since what? Kishan Johnson, I think back in the 90s. So he's been a very, very long time. Another thing that hasn't happened in a very, very long time is the Chargers having legitimate success. And what I mean by that is actually winning in the playoffs. I remember like 2007, they went to the AFC Championship game obviously lost to the New England Patriots who were on the Super Bowl and ultimately lost to the Giants, but they ran in to a buzz off there. But the football, whoever was going to talk, or an ace in the factory, and he was aggressive at that point. They're a long way from that version of the Chargers. In fact, they're not even playing in the same city that they were playing in back then. So you've got a four way to point damage. Jim Harbaugh, they're still in a little spot when you look at your position. They're big as me. They're in a spot to win a wide receiver like Malik neighbors obviously talked about this time to provide. I think them along that Justin Herbert can provide a little bit of that. I want to be careful saying this. But the last LSU wide receiver that came in was drafted in the top five was Jamar Chase and he landed with Joe Barrow. And I think that Malik neighbors landing with Justin Herbert could really, I mean, I don't want to put the pressure on these guys, but you could really expect it's like catapult. The Chargers expectations, despite their own division with obviously the defending Super Bowl champions and playing in a conference that isn't getting any weaker when you look at what the AFC North brings having three teams go to the playoffs. So yeah, the Chargers are, they're in an uphill battle. They're trying to rebuild on the fly, especially when you have a franchise quarterback. You pretty much, you know that you can win any game and you want to surround them with playmakers, getting Malik neighbors, would do just that. Do you, are you with me here on this? Yeah, if it wasn't for them, emptying Haas in there, wide receiver room, this would be a defensive pick in my mind. They got ran over all last year, they got the ball thrown around on the ball. Their secondary was just piss poor, more than half of the fucking year. So if it wasn't for them losing Mike Williams and Keenan Allen or Tregna Malay or whatever, I would definitely pick one of these, these highly touted corners right here at number five. But since they did, then Malik neighbors is a homerun for these kids. So was Mike Williams the one that went to the Jets? Yes. Okay, I was just making sure that Keenan went to the bars, that MetLife turf. That's what I was saying on Mike Williams. Yeah. That's like oil and water. That's what I was trying to tell young LeFone. I'm curious though, what the boys have in store for the other New York, New York Giants picking here number six overall, they have an interesting decision and I'm curious to see what they handle or how they handle it. Yeah, this one. Yeah, Mr. Paul. I, you know, I predict, you know, the Chargers, they don't pass up on Joe Alt. You know, you got to secure, you know, you have to protect, you know, your money bag behind, you know, the center. So I'm thinking, I'm thinking Alt here, or they could go play maker here as well. So I'm going Alt or, you know, one of the best, next best receivers, which you think cool. Yeah, man, I tell you, part of me thinks they're going to be, they're going to, they're going to do something real dumb and maybe go JJ McCarthy. But I don't, I don't want to put that energy out there. Oh, man, I, I tell you, I really think they're going to go with Romeo Dunes. I think Joe Alt, I think it's a safe pick. But I think they, I really think they want to splash. Yeah, and they need, they need receiver help bad. There's no one there that gives me confidence. So yep, I agree. Yeah. So all right, we're going, we're going, Romay, we're going with the Dunes. I mean, I completely agree with that too, because this is a loss say, corn, they're going to find, they're going to want to find somebody to try to replace what he had in the game. So, you know, I like this pick Titans fans right now are putting in a, they're putting out a hit for Howard pool because they were crossing their fingers and praying that Romay Dunes to seven overall, but he swung in there and shifting. So now they're going to have to take who the New York Giants were going to take their offensive line. I mean, you know, you talk about what the Titans have a wide receiver. They just signed Calvin really to a pretty good extension. Obviously, they already have Trelon Burks there. DeAndre Hopkins is coming back. You don't need to spend a top 10 pick on a wide receiver whenever your offensive line looks the way that it does. Joe Walt is a safe pick here. And I think that it's going to give the Titans really what they need. You put him next to Peter Skoronsky, who they drafted in the first round. What was it last year? I sure am. Now the left side of your offensive line. Also, they bring in cushion Barry. I believe they signed old cushion Barry too. So they're quickly rebuilding this offensive line. And, you know, you can take the Detroit Lions approach and it seemed to lead to some success. So I will take Joe Walt here at number seven overall. Yeah, success is what they want. And this is how they build it through the trenches and with a guy like Joe old. You guys are up eight overall with the Atlanta Falcons and I am all ears. Let's go punter. We're just going to best punter. Now we're going to you got to you got to go pass rush here. You got your quarterback for at least a year. All the weapons you have. You got to go best pass rush here. My honest opinion is Dallas Turner. I mean, I don't know about you, Mr. Pulla. Could be Jared first right here as well. So take your pick because, you know, you have the crème de la crème. You take the number one pass rush right here. Yeah, I think I think Dallas Turner is probably going to be it. Ritter, I know with the mock drafts and what you've kind of been talking about Falcons trading back, I really think they're a prime team for the trade back and to try and pick up some extra draft picks. And so and again, I think right with having Jared verse or Dallas Turner there, if they can trade back a couple picks and still pick up one of those guys, I'm with you. I think it's a home run, but Dallas Turner is on the board. We're not doing trade back. So yeah, give me Dallas Turner. Let's let's get an Alabama boy in there and see what what he can wreck. I mean, he's they have an itch for it. I would love it. I mean, and Kirk O'Bane's too. You talk about all the weapons. Exactly. Make your strength, strengthen your strength. Ambusion. That's a lot of my first things first. We were muted because Bubba, the dog that appears next door, the German Shepherd, he likes to sometimes chime in. He doesn't agree with one of our draft picks or something like that. He definitely lets us know. He'll let us know. And he was doing just that. So we were muted whenever we were the punter reference to the day. Terry actually was speaking to himself. We were be like, yeah, so that was unfortunate. Dallas, I wouldn't be mad. You know, I understand I'm especially considering this is the first defensive player off the board. You're getting the, you know, your pick of the litter that comes with defensive players. I guess I'm just kind of, you know, I would be open first guy. Yes. Well, I mean, no, because we run a three, four, I think versus more of like a four, three defensive in. That's the main reason why I'm so leaning towards Dallas Turner. If we do go edge rusher right there at eight, now if we traded back, like you mentioned, I think that that would be good to just being able to still get one of those guys and, you know, pick up an extra third round pick, maybe a second round pick depending on how far you go back. But I'm with you guys. I mean, Dallas Turner here, I think it's a, I think it's a, it's a popular pick that I've seen here lately. I am curious, though, how the new defense values, edge rushers like that compared to corners, because since AJ Terrell has been our starting corner, it's been a rotating door opposite side. Hey, I feel pretty safe that we're about to sign into a long-term contract. In fact, he just got a Falcons logo tattoo on him. Oh, you know, not that long ago. So I feel like that is pretty, pretty safe. He feels good about getting a deal done. Now if we were to get a first round talented corner in there, because sometimes I feel like defensive coordinators feel like it's easier to create pressure than it is to create coverage in the back end, like rather than having a really good corner in that presence back there, you can somewhat manipulate pressure with, you know, all types of stunts and all that. But yeah, I mean, I've been pounding the table for an edge rusher for years. And we just always happens that even if we've had a top 10 pick for three years in a row, there's never seemed to be an edge rusher whenever, or at the top of the draft. But you know, I'll take Dallas Turner without a doubt. And you know, I'll just, hopefully he hits his ceiling. That's what you're banking on with him. You're banking on the traits. But another team here, they got Caleb Williams, number one overall, is picking again here at number nine, because of all the wide receivers being gone, because I would love to take Roman Dune's a I would love to take, you know, Malik neighbors somehow if they landed here. But Brian Thomas, Brian doesn't always work out like that. Yeah, it's not worth it. We're definitely going to go on the defensive side of the ball here and obviously I'm considering brought our towers just like, you know, see him mentioned, that would be a hell of a pick. But I think getting an edge rusher, opposite side, Montez sweat, would be a smart move for them. So, I mean, what do you think about Jared verse going off the board here? Well, I'd absolutely love, you know, layout too. And maybe in this situation, I feel like for the Bears, I think he would help them out a lot more. But yeah, Jared versus, you know, it's preference in this situation. I mean, if you wanted to go lock you, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to that. You already know how I feel about him this early in the draft. But very rarely do I get it right. Yeah, same right. I'm 99% wrong. So I feel like because I'm necessarily, you know, not high on layout, you lost you that he'll probably end up being the Falcons. And number eight overall, I've had this accepted that kind of how it goes for me. But yeah, I'll let you, I'll let you decide which edge rusher here goes to the Bears. You're wearing the Bears hat literally right now, so I'll let you make this big. Okay, it's literally between those two. And honestly, I feel like, you know, with his experience, I feel like he could come in day one and really help the defensive line for the Bears really help Montez White and really take some pressure off of him. Adding some more pressures coming off the left side. So give me layout too. Lot too right here, man. I want him to show the world that, you know, he's been medically cleared. He's ready to ball out. Let him go into a team that really could humble him and make him bring him up nurture him as one of their own and not give up on him. I feel like that culture is set in stone now with them wanting Kate Williams to start over for the offense. Now they want a guy that could take on that pressure for the defensive side. So I feel like Lot too is perfect for this. Layout too Lot too is the pick that takes us to number 10 overall New York Jets. Let's go now with you guys turn. Let's get it. Let's go. Okay. I just got a rebuttal for Chicago at nine. I think you got to protect Kayla Williams. So I think if this happened like that, they're going to get the next best tackle because you don't want to have the whole Justin Fields think again, Justin Fields running for his life. But you know, I like the way this works because the offensive tackle position hasn't really been robbed as best. I mean, I like all of the Shanu right here for the Jets. But I mean Brock Bowers. This is another spot for him. This is what it starts getting tricky, Mr. Pull. What do you think? And do you protect Mr. Rogers, Mr. Achilles? Or do you give him another weapon to play with? All right, man. You and I are very much on the same as far as kind of getting down to like, it's it's either going to be offensive tackle or I man. Yeah, Brock Bowers feels like a good fit here. And again, you got you give Aaron Rogers another person to throw to man. But yeah, it's a difficult one because they picked up correct me if I'm wrong. They picked up Morgan Moses. And was it Trent Brown? Troy Smith. Troy Smith. Oh, is that okay? Yeah, so tyrants. Tyrone. Tyrone Smith. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So. Oh, let's do it. Let's go for the guest on there. Yeah, let's let's make a little splash. Let's I really think. And I mean, you still got Brock then can come in and can kind of block on the edge a bit as well. So that gives you that. And this is a good deep offensive tackle class. So I think they could with having, you know, their second, a high second, they could still address this. So very deep tackle class. Yeah. So I think I think it's good. You're right. Let's get it. Yeah. You guys want to hear me complain about that and you give Brock Bowers Aaron Rogers that was fucking awesome. That's going to benefit him the way he felt. That's like Kade going to fucking go see. That's a little bit. That's a little bit of a sore subject because obviously the Stefan Diggs move. I traded away Dalton Kincaid in a dynasty league. And now he's probably going to, you know, be getting so many targets with Josh Jones. I'm kicking myself. I also trade away CD lamb last year. Yeah. As soon as I traded him away, he like below literally next. Yeah. He was unguardable and he was just the best wide receiver in football. But sounds better. Yikes. Anyways, we're up here 11 overall Minnesota Vikings. We feel like they will definitely trade up. If we were in the war room, we would be calling in as soon as Drake may have felt a three overall. I would be calling the Patriots saying, look, we got two first round picks this year. We got one next year. Let's go ahead and make something happen. But they get to just stand, you know, stand pad number 11 roll. Let a quarterback fall to him. JJ McCarthy, we feel pretty safe here with this pig. Oh, yeah. They every mock that I've seen, you know, has these guys trading up for JJ McCarthy at this point. I've seen enough of JJ McCarthy in this offseason process where I am starting to grow more like fond of him. Yeah. He's very, very young. He does have some good things to offer. Honestly, I've seen some good things just watching his games. Yeah. And if you're talking about not trading up, not picking your number two overall, like Washington commanders, you get him here at number 11. I think that's a lot more of a value pick most of what you're getting. And I think that, yeah, you get JJ McCarthy going in immediately as wide receivers like Jordan Addison, Justin Jefferson, TJ Hawkins, and as you're tied in, I think he'll be in a good spot. Obviously, Kevin O'Connell is the head coach too, having an offensive minded guy like that that you're already paired with right out the gate comes from the McVay system. Replacing Kirk Cousins, obviously, Kirk Cousins went down to the NFC soft. Yeah, you did. But I'm definitely, you know, I'm pulling from McCarthy wherever he lands, unless it's with New Orleans or something. Yeah, of course, definitely not the same. But yeah, I'm right there with you. Everything that I see of this kid, you know, national champ, he's just, he's just grows on you, really. Everything he does is the right thing. Now he does have a lot of cons. Everybody is quick to point out how he's not utilized as much as like a bow nicks or Michael Pintex Jr. how they took control of the offense. It was a heavy run game offense, which a lot of teams in the NFL do. But this is a guy who could be a pro at the next level at a very high level. I think he's a lead player that we won't be talking in a couple of years about a bus. I think he has enough in him. Like everybody's been accustomed saying he's got that dog in him. So I don't see him failing in the league, especially here with the Vikings. You know, speaking of Screw Orleans, Sean Payton is probably punching the air right now because he probably won in the car with a fault in number 12. Now the Broncos are stuck. And I'm curious now where see him and how we're poor going to go with Sean Payton's squad. All right, I'll let you go first. And then I'm going to rip up. Okay. The first thing I want to say is J.J. McCarthy going in the first round, I think is ridiculous, but thank you. Everyone's bought into this. I think he's, I think he's Matt Jones 2.0. I'm sitting right now. I'm sitting right now. I'm good. I'm going to call Kenny Pickett 2.0. All right. So on to the Broncos who were saved from J.J. McCarthy. Man, I tell you it's and that's the problem though. Like I think that's part of the reason that J.J. McCarthy is going to get taken so high. Denver is in need of a quarterback. I don't even know who's their slated starter at this point. I think it's Jared Stidham. I think that's. So they're taking somebody here. I mean, so my next, my next highest rated quarterback and right that they need it is Bownecks. And again, C.M. and I are going to agree on this. We've talked about this quite a bit. We're both big fans of Bownecks. I think he is, I think he's a hidden weapon in this draft. So, you know, I'm going to give Denver Bownecks. It seems a little high, but I think they're going to, he's going to be successful with them. I completely agree. I think he, I have him ranked very, very high. I think he is Drew Brees 2.0. He can run that Sean Faiton style offense. He doesn't have to do too much. And him and Sean Faiton are going to be very good friends. I promise you, because Bownecks can run that style of offense that the Broncos love to run. I'm telling you, Bownecks is my, my guy. I mean, he can be Drew Brees 2.0 as long as he doesn't do the pregame forced huddles where he's doing those chants and things like that. Yeah, he's just Drew Brees on the field. And yeah, I think the Broncos are getting a, you know, a massive upgrade at the position from what they've had pretty much since Peyton Manning left. Now another AFC West team, Las Vegas Raiders here, number 13 overall. I mean, Olu Vishani is sitting right here. I mean, we can really just, whoever's going to eventually come be our quarterback, he can already have a left tackle sitting there waiting for him. We kind of saw that payoff for the Texans. As soon as he got CJ Stroud, it wasn't like, Oh man, what are they going to do? No, the Texans spent years building that offensive line for to Sean Watson. He demands a trade. Well, now they kind of had this bad ass offensive line that's blocking for what was his name, Davis Mills, you know, so now we get CJ Stroud behind a phenomenal offensive line. They just trade for Stefan Diggs. We're not going to get into the Texans right now, but I'm just saying, man, if you're going to start following a blueprint, they got it. You might want to start with step one here, getting a nice offensive tackle that's going to be a pillar on your offensive line for the long haul, phenomenal pass blocker. He is probably the best pure pass blocker in this entire class. We'll just talk about that specific category. So yeah, the Raiders need that. Give me Olu Vishani here. You find what that big? Oh, yeah. I am totally fine with this freaking refrigerator blocking for whoever we have back there. No, no, Josh Jacobs. Who do we have back there? I don't even know. No quarterback that we know of. No running back shit. They've got to start it over right now. So this is a perfect pick to rebuild new, new coaching staff. They've got the right momentum. They've got the right trajectory from last year. So I love for Sonny. He's just a amped up guy. He's got the size, the eliteness of quick feet and he's just a body mover. He was his Raiders, so it's a perfect pick. It's a mere why is the Raiders running back. Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. That's right. You know, picking for Shawn, you prevents him from going to the Saints here at number 14 overall. So you guys are handling all these picks that I don't want to make. And I thank you for that. That's what we're here at 14 overall. But just real quick on the Raiders, I think the Raiders ran a really good spot because they can take BPA with that pick at 13, you know, because they kind of need quarterback help. You know, they need some offensive line help. They could get a corner back there as well. But I could see them moving back, but I can see Las Vegas moving up as well. So I think Las Vegas is in a really good position. I know they need a lot of help, but the Fachano pick is a great pick. But the Saints, shit, I hate to give away. Like I just recorded a, you know, a mock draft off too long ago. And there's somebody that kind of fits, you know, kind of the New Orleans style thing. I know they need a tackle and they might want to run the ball a little bit more this coming up season, of course, with AK. And let's get the best run blocking tackle out there. And it's longer, longer. What do you think? Beautiful. Again, on the same page. That's what to me. Yeah, like, let's get, let's get a big boy in there to, you know, really shore up that blocking. Yeah, I mean, the Saints, I, the Saints, I think are in the same position as the Raiders best player available. They've got some talented people all around. Like, so, you know, if you get the best guy that's still on the board, he's just going to be another great playmaker for him. But yeah, this is great fit, great pick. Yeah, that one hurt. I really did. I know. Trust me, you think you think I want for longer to play for the fucking Saints, man? I want to. Yeah, I get it. It sucks. But you got to do every team justice. You got to be bipartisan. Now everybody, the best chance. I don't know how you feel about the Colts here at 15, Terry. You know, obviously, they need some wide receiver help to, you know, help out Anthony Richardson. They would have loved to block in two hours. Yeah, they would have loved to block Bowers to be here. Oh, yeah, definitely. You know, but if there's no offensive players you feel are worth this number 15 overall pick for the positions that you need, you can't turn over to the defensive side of the ball. I think that's where I'm going. I think there's a few names here. And one of them in particular now, I will ultimately defer to you with this pick, no matter what. But I will say, I would like to slide a Quignon Mitchell's name into the table here as being the first cornerback selected in this draft, just because what you see from the senior ball, honestly, I saw it with Aaron Donald, whenever he came out, just dominated the senior ball. I seen Quignon Mitchell, things that I was like, man, that's a fucking amazing. And it's crazy because you ask yourself, am I taking the corner from Toledo or am I taking the corner from Alabama? Yeah, that's ultimately a big question right there. And I think the culture is going to be wild with and I'm going to go ahead and throw the throw the name out there. But I will let you, like I said, I will defer to you and I will let you make the pick ultimately. But I did want to at least make that suggestion. I'm glad you slid that pick in there because I am one of those guys kind of is like, all right, there wasn't that much talent in that in that specific region of his school or whatever. And now we're sitting here looking at a Alabama Crimson Tide corner who played three years underneath the Nick Saban system. I don't know, man, this is a guy who battled in the SEC, seen every type of receiver at the highest level. So he's a willing tackler. He's a big time playmaker. I know the interceptions really aren't there. The ball skills aren't there like a receiver or like a, uh, uh, uh, the gene in this class, you know. But I really like what he brings. His upside is, is, is, is more than what I could see. Quignon Mitchell can bring to the table. I think he could guard every level that you can ask him. You want him to guard a Tyrek Hill. He can do that. You want to guard, you want him to guard a big body type person. He could do that as well. So I'm leaning more towards the, the bigger name guys. So to speak in this one, um, you know, give me Arnold, but if you really feel strong about young Mitchell here, we'll throw his name out there in the ballot. We'll, we'll, uh, we'll draft that kid if you want. We'll go with Tyre. Oh, like I said, because there's a good chance this actually ends up being what happens. You know, I could see either one of these corners going as high as eight overall for sure when we make our pig. But yeah, we'll go with Arnold. I'm a big fan of his game as well. I just personally, I've, the more I've watched the corner class, because that's the next episode we're going to talk about is the corners. The more I've watched Mitchell, I've just, I've, what I expect Terri on to be towards, you know, week 11, week, week 12 in this rookie season, I'm pretty much already seen with Mitchell. And that's, you know, obviously we'll see if it translates. That's the biggest thing. Cornerbacks can look great at the senior bowl. They could look great in college. I look at it from Chris Ballot's perspective, who, you know, we've seen him go get guys like Darius Leonard, who came from who knows where, you know, I don't even remember what college he came from, but it was a small school. He's from the town that has like 20 people or something like that. Now, uh, all of a sudden, you know, obviously injuries caught up with him. A back injury is something that, you know, a lot of people are, it's, it's taking many names, you know, like, there's not a lot of people that can just bounce back immediately from, you know, a back injury, like Darius Leonard had. So clearly it's going to affect the way he played football. Yes, we will take Terri and Arnold off the board here, cornerback for Alabama. And, you know, we're going to roll with that. That leaves the Seahawks up at number 16. And these guys are on the board. A lot of guys on the board, actually. Damn. That was, that was such a good pick because I think Arnold's the best man on man quarterback in this draft. And then you have to think of it you're going against the Houston Texans who now have one of the best why I received the course in, you know, that division. So you have to have the sauce gardener. So don't get me wrong, Quinn, your Mitchell is, is my number two best all around corner. He can, he plays a lot better coverage that Terri on Arnold does, but you need a man shut down corner and Terri on Arnold is that dude. Sorry. Mr. Pull Seattle, I think we're going defense right here. And there's a player that's just screaming Seattle Seahawks. What do you think? But let's say, let's say we meet what we're thinking. I'm thinking defense too, but man, I'm thinking probably a little bit different than you. What are you thinking? Man, I tell you, I'm looking at, I don't know how to say his first name, Jerzan Newton, defensive tackle three technique. Okay. And so, you know, Seahawks run a three, four. So you know, Jared verse, I Jared verse just he's more of a four, three guys. So, depending on how things fall, I might have a good home for him here soon. But, yeah, like, Jerzan Newton's from everything I've been seeing reading from what I've seen from him. You know, I think he he fits the defense. And I think he there's a chance he goes this high. So, I think so too. I mean, he's a really good pick. I take, I take Gevondre sweat, just a little bit ahead of him. He plays that nose technique just a little bit better. Oh, yeah, not a bat. Yeah, good choice to as well. Yeah, but they picked up Leonard Williams as well during the free agency period. So their defensive lines a little depth wise. I think they're okay right now with that. So, this is this is a tough pick, man. You go ahead, you have, I'll make the next pick. You take this one, brother. I just gave you my input. I'll let you kind of coax into what you what you're thinking. Man, I tell you, because the only thing is to with them not taking Quinnian Mitchell, man, I don't know if maybe you get a corner here, because who are they who they run in that corner, they have tree equivalent and bond with a school. And yeah, that's that gives him a formidable bull back end. Yeah, I mean, you're not wrong, dude. I'm telling you not wrong with that pick either. Yeah, I'm saying I'm saying they go Quinnian Mitchell. Let's go Quinnian Mitchell. Nice fucking pig. That that one's a good it's a good fit because of like, I mean, this dude has six interceptions, 37 PBU just in the past two years, a ball hawk, like this is someone that plays Seattle Seahawks style football from what we've seen from their corners when they were at their best. I just think it might be a little crowded now, obviously, because they do have tree cool and they do have Devan Witherspoon, but I think that tree cool and obviously he had a little bit of like a rookie year peak damn near like I know that here in the second year, there were a lot of people that weren't necessarily too thrilled with his performance. So if anybody's getting kicked out, it's going to be him. And I think that Quinnian Mitchell and Devan Witherspoon going forward, probably be their two outside corners and that'd be a phenomenal pairing. Up next here with the Jacksonville Jaguars, they also need cornerback help. They need a wider seaver help defensive tackle, offensive tackle. I mean, the list goes on and on. This is a team that got Trevor Lawrence number one overall didn't have to trade up. And then the following year earned the number one overall pick. And somehow, like, there's still like, what, like, what are we doing here? Like that is criminally like what the, you know, I don't understand how it happens. Obviously, some people could say, well, that's what happens when you hire Urban Meyer. Yeah. Definitely was your head because he sent them back. And now they're trying to recover. And it did obviously stunt Trevor Lawrence's development. But I'm looking at who's available here. Are they going to try to get out of Cam Robinson's contract that they gave him? They can move on from him, draft somebody like Troy Fontenot. They could draft Marius Mims, JC Latham here. You could fill that tackle hole. You can make your defensive line a little bit stronger. They decided to pass on Johnny Newton from Illinois. And I will say, this is someone consensus all American. Like he is with that about the best defensive tackle right now, other than maybe Byron Murphy from Texas, Byron Murphy the second to Vondre Swett. I feel like it's really just positional when it comes to him. Like you don't draft or an oath tackle that high because they don't get a second contract usually. There's a reason why you can go out pretty much on the market and sign those guys pretty much year in Europe because they're always available. Now, some obviously are different than others really get vida veya. Someone has had like a phenomenal career doing that exact same thing. But they are few and far between and Johnny Newton, I feel like just I mean, because what are they known for in the Big Ten? Or at least back in the day, you know, really good offensive line. National football. And you look at some of the offensive linemen that are there in the Big Ten, Johnny Newton kicked all their ass. Like that's why I feel like get him to the AFC South in a division that yes, you need corner help. You need to stop the passing game through the air, you know, obviously in the secondary. But another way to affect the passing game is collapsing that pocket there in the middle of getting Johnny Newton on the Jaguars defense alongside guys like Josh Allen, Trevon Walker. I think this is just going to make that unit better as a whole. They have good linebackers too. It's a pretty good defense. It's just their offense really hasn't gotten a chance to develop like they should have. Yeah, with Devin Lloyd back there. And I can't remember who the other guy is. I feel like this kid would just fall in perfectly with the Jaguars. It's what he needs or what they need. So I feel like a lot of answers, questions would be answered with this kid. Love it. Pass rusher could be here too as well. I wouldn't be surprised. You guys were up with Cincinnati here number 18 overall. Woof. Okay, let's see here. Cincinnati, I have wide receiver office of tackle tight and a little bit of defensive line help. Wide receiver, I would say let's not reach on that two Higgins still there. They got some tight end help with the sicky sack Moss. I think we're going to go offensive line here. Let's go ahead and get one of the best left tackles or right tackles. Yeah, let's go ahead and go get tackled for sure. I'm thinking either MIMS or Latham, which one you think? I think JC Latham, I mean, they're both Latham and MIMS are both young, but I think JC Latham probably offers a little bit more of what they're wanting. Love it. Oh, let's see 19 overall. So JC Latham is the pick here. I don't get his name off the board. Sometimes my computer likes to make me earn it. But here we go Los Angeles Rams. The Rams. Picking in the first round? What is this 2015 or something like that? This is new to them. It's been so many years since they've actually made a first round pick. And let's see, they obviously had a little bit of a loss in talent. You could say, Aaron Donald retired. Jalen Ramsey is no longer there. He's been gone for a little bit now. Then he'll lose Raheem Morris. Who knows how big of a deal that's going to be, but cornerback edge, big needs for this team. And I'm thinking Jared verse here. Me too. It's time that this fall stops. And we get Jared verse off the board here going to the Los Angeles Rams. Yeah, you talk about a person that can come in and help your defense tremendously right out the gates. A guy who can kind of give you that impact that you will be missing from AD Pittsburgh Steelers up next 20 overall. I'm curious where Howard goes here with his Steelers. Come on. Come on, Mr. Poole. There is. Come on, man. Get get him. You know who I'm thinking of just fucking draft him. Yeah. I mean, I'm talking to me. It's the most obvious pick because if you look at our roster, we don't have a center. Like we don't, we don't have a center right now. And I mean, Jackson Powers, Johnson, baby. We have made the mistake of not drafting Creed Humphrey. We've made the mistake of not drafting Tyler Lindenbaum. Let's go get JPJ baby all the way. Let's do it. Hey, okay, Mr. Poole. But you'd be mad at Cooper Dijin right here. I wouldn't Cooper. I mean, besides the fact that Cooper is already wearing black and yellow. Yeah. I mean, Cooper fits kind of what we're doing. I like, you know, I like him. But man, it's just we don't have a. Yes, I completely agree. That's exactly what I was getting at you. Just letting you know, it was like the Cooper could fit that little defensive scheme and look at a nickel and rough. Joey Porter Jr. But anyways, number 21, I do like that. Hey, JPJ, man, I'm with you. I am all bored. The Jackson Powers, Johnson, Train. I think that the Cowboys are probably going to be pretty pissed because they need a center as well. So this would just be you guys just, you know, getting the better than one more time here. Number 21 overall, Miami Dolphins. I think that this could be, you know, we seem to happen all the time, whether it was whenever the Tennessee Titans traded A.J. Brown and then immediately drafted Trailenburgs, excuse me, or whenever the Minnesota Vikings traded Stefan Diggs and then immediately drafted Justin Jefferson, like whenever you lose a Pro Bowl talent and you have a first round pick, sometimes like, all right, well, let's just try to replace that player, get another high profile player in here. And I think that's what they can do after losing Christian Wilkins to the Raiders. They could try to get Byron Murphy here and come in and be a three technique, be a disrupter. They have Ed Drushers. I mean, they have Bradley Chubb. Obviously, who's the one that they drafted just a couple of years ago? Jalen Phillips, another Ed Drusher there. They have plenty, you know, players around. Obviously, their secondary is loaded. So Byron Murphy here, I think that he would be a good enough disruptor to make an impact very early on this team. Oh, that just makes too much sense too with Wilkins being gone to the Raiders. I feel like that's a huge need for them. So this fits Byron Murphy. He's going to feel like a glove there. What about the Philadelphia Eagles number 22 overall? Well, go ahead. Go ahead. Mine, Howard, you're about to be in Philadelphia. So you might not want to. I was going to say, I'll let you go first and then I'll rebel. Man, I guess I can't, I don't know if I'm pronounced his last name, right? So I hate to do that. But Fatanu, he's still on the board, right? Yes, and that is how you pronounce this. And if it is. Yeah, possibly him. I know they're projecting him kind of as a guard at the next level, potentially. And so I tell you, I'm just kind of looking at my list here. I got to tell you, I am probably going to go with Cooper Dijin here. They need some secondary help and yeah, I think, I think this point defense is needed more than an offensive line. Yeah, I completely agree. That's who I have. I have them taking corner back first is exactly what they need. A slot corner, exactly what they need. They could use another man-style corner. Cooley McKenzie would fit. You know, kind of like a guy like Megan's is a good fit too as well. But yeah, I love it. Cooper Dijin right there. I personally think that's a great pick. They need a corner back. They need a safety. You get kind of a two for one here with, you know, with Cooper Dijin and the role that he can play. Kind of a three for this guy's amazing and special team as well. So yeah, so I mean, Iowa players, just look at Caitlin Clark for crying out loud. You're getting the school that has it going right now. And I think that, you know, you don't see too many Caucasian cornerbacks, any more. And Cooper Dijin could be someone who, you know, puts on for the brand. Yeah, yeah, he's going to change that. That he is. Well, all right. So now 23 overall, the Minnesota Vikings, we picked for them 11. We got JJ McCarthy wasn't a popular pick on the panel. And I don't necessarily disagree. I just kind of know how the draft is going to go. Like, obviously, whenever they were talking about JJ McCarthy coming to us before we signed Kirk Cousins, I was you were about to talk me off of a ledge. So luckily that ended up not happening. But I think that, you know, with what JJ McCarthy has put on tape at this point, the Vikings would probably be thrilled getting him there because, you know, you talk about Kirk Cousins and the type of quarterback he was just not really mobile, kind of just standing. That could pretty much be the ceiling of JJ McCarthy. Who knows, you know, what he's going to end up being, but now looking at where they could go since they already got a quarterback. They do need interior offensive line help. So I think getting Troy Fatanu, what you guys were going to do, not too long ago, would be a safer pick for the Minnesota Vikings because no matter who's going to be playing quarterback, you need to protect him. And with what they already have on the outside, just given how the board fell, obviously, they would love to get another Ed Drusher to replace Daniel Hunter. I was thinking about Chop Robinson here as well as other guys. But, I mean, you get a say so here. Yes. What do you think? I mean, I guess the conversation between Chop Robinson and Troy Fatanu. So where would you go? Well, I was actually going to throw in a corner back here as well. So I mean, maybe Kool-Aid here. I was going to wonder if you're drinking the Kool-Aid. I was drinking a lot of Kool-Aid, you know, growing up. So I'm just kidding. This is, I mean, Kool-Aid is a high value person that could fall realistically to these guys. I hear at 23, I think he's first around talent. He's a guy that could come in and start. Obviously, day one, I don't think he needs to fall behind anybody. You know, he's been in this system, a pro system, a pro style defense for a long time, I think two or three years or something like that. So I don't know. I think Kool-Aid could be thrown in the mix here, but obviously with the new Hunter being gone, I think that defensive line should be bolstered up a little bit. If we're going, if we're going D-line, I want Chop on my team. All right. We'll take Chop off the board. Let go. Let go. Try to revamp that pass rush there in Minnesota so they can get after guys like Jared Goff, that's Gordon Love, and obviously Caleb Williams coming to time. But now you have the Dallas Cowboys, and I know they see a massive Dallas Cowboys supporter, so he's going to be very excited to take this bit. Let's see where he goes. Oh, so y'all took Chop, not Fontano, right? Yes, we took Chop. I was going to take my fault, but I got a little bit ahead of the wagon. Okay, yeah, no worries. Okay, I got to fix. Mr. Seannell, big supporter of the show. Mr. Shake, my cousin, big supporter of the show. He wants offensive line in the draft, so we got to give him some tackle help, and I do believe, let's see here, was it? Latham got picked earlier, so we got to go with the next best available, and I do believe I have MEMS next up on my tackle list, but I'd love to hear what Mr. Howard pull things. Yeah, I think as far as a true tackle goes, the MEMS is also there, and yeah, I mean, I'm agreeing with the Cowboys fans, you know, Terence Smith's gone, you know, you got to find a replacement for him. The Cowboys, I think, were at their most lethal and kind of people took them the most serious when that few kind of years stretch when they had an amazing offensive line. I think they want to get back to that. It's not a sexy pick, but I think it's probably the one that makes the most sense for him at this point. All right, Green Bay Packers, they're up now. There was the pick I can't, I don't know, I'm various men, I'm going to tackle from Georgia. So not looking at the Green Bay Packers, they need linebacker help, obviously, they lost some guys in free agency. We've seen the cornerback position kind of get taken advantage of in San Francisco when they were on the cusp of beating the 49ers and going to the NFC Championship game. The thing about linebacker though, man, it's I mean, think about how many good linebackers NFL, like you can name four, right? And then it's like, I mean, they're okay, you know, their average is not big, you know, difference between them and what the next gap, I think what you're out, you're about to ask is what happened, right? Well, I think that it's the change in the game. Like, because when you look at quick, you used to be able to just be a big guy that can tackle be like Lance Briggs, you know, one of those big linebackers and just, you know, get guys to the ground. And that was really, you can make a career and be a phenomenal player. Now, if you can't cover, if you're not able to be an asset and pass coverage, you're pretty much a liability. So it takes away a lot of the linebackers who were good at just one thing. And that allowed them to be great at the next level. And now it's more so, like, you got to be these bread Warner, you know, when you think that versatile linebacker, when you think that that would be more valuable to a team than to like draft them higher, it is, but they're not like, because it's such a specific role. Yeah, it's harder to be that good, like, bread warners and these guys don't grow on trees. Like, so that and they're the ones that are worthy of, you know, getting these high picks. But when you look at the draft class, because not all the players, especially in the last few draft classes are capable of being elite in coverage, great at stopping the run, you have to be able to communicate, have the green dot on your helmet, like, those guys are damn near cash rush. It's such a rare breed. Like, it's such a rare breed these days to have the complete linebackers. That's why I feel like just the way that the game has gone has kind of devalued what was once, you know, you know, important part of the deeds. And now, the Packers are sitting here with that being their number one need, but not going to take one here overall. So that turns you to the cornerback issue. And I'm thinking Wiggins from, obviously, like, once I agree, but clearly, this is someone that could fit in on that defense with what they need can play alongside Jair Alexander is not having to guard wide receiver ones on a weekly basis. So I feel like he would have time to grow. Are you with me on this or their other name? No, this is the pick that I wanted from the time we figured out that we were drafting for the Packers. Nate Williams or Wiggins is what the Packers really need to fill in that left side and take pressure with off. Like, like you said, Jair is not going to be following number ones around. He could rely on Nate Wiggins and actually rely on him. I know that there was some time, I can't, savage, Donald Savage, wasn't that the he's gone? Yeah, he got toast a couple times. And I know that played a big factor in how Jair was playing his game. Now he's got a guy that he could groom from day one, show him how the ropes are and, you know, could really emulate what he brings to the table. So this is a great pick, I think. And now our counterparts are going to pick for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and number 26 overall, they complete the NFC South trifecta because, obviously, I'm not going to say that a lot of one of the teams doesn't have a first one. Yeah, I appreciate. I appreciate that. Mr. Salton, Mr. Wood, appreciate it. Tampa Bay. Okay, Mr. Poole. I did, I did Dallas. I let you know what I was thinking. I want to know what you're thinking about the Bucks and then I'll kind of chip in afterwards. Yeah, I think Bucks, it's really coming down to probably somewhere in the trenches, whether you're looking on defensive or offensive side. You know, you could take Kool Aid McInstery here. I don't think that's a bad pick. But let's, I'm thinking it's Troy Fatano. Like I said, they're projecting him kind of to move inside to guard. I think he's got some versatility to him as well. So that's kind of where I'm, he's, and right now he's really my highest player left on the board. So kind of a, kind of a win-win for Tampa here. Okay, so you want to go center guard? Oh, yeah. Looking at kind of guard. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I got Cooper BB. I got Cooper BB as my number one. He's more of a past blocking guy. I know he's probably not going to hear his name day one. But I think they can go past Russia here as well. It's kind of thinned out a little bit, but Tampa Bay has a lot of needs. I know, you know, you know, re-signing the Monte David and Baker and Evans and Winfield, they could go BPA right here. And yeah, let's go. I like the Fontenote pick, man. I really do. I like the Fontenote pick. Let's go Fontenote. All right. Well, that takes us to the Arizona Cardinals who looked into Marvin Harrison, Jr. At this point, in real time, like whenever you're talking about the actual draft going on from pick number four all the way to pick number 27, Marvin Harrison, Jr. is already going to be on a plane to Phoenix. He's already going to have a Jersey stitch with the number eight team. He's going to already be ready to have that, you know, that press conference. He's got the playbook. While the war room in the front office of the Arizona Cardinals is going to work trying to get another playmaker to go alongside him in this draft class and really take it over the top. Now, I think that they got a, you know, a player from a big name school, a powerhouse with their first pick. I think they're going to double dip and they're really going to try to swing for the fences here. They need corner help. Let's do it. Kool-Aid, McKinstry, right here off the board. I love it. He gets to keep a little bit of a shade. Obviously, they wear crimson in Alabama. But Arizona, it's not that blood red, you know, it's a little bit of a darker red. Or at least how it should be if you could go back to the early cardinal days, obviously, with, you know, Emmett Smith, whenever Anquan Bolden was just drafted there. That era of the Cardinals, that's kind of the era that I got introduced to them. And then they switched their jerseys up to the Larry Fitzgerald era, which was a phenomenal look at first and it kind of ran its course there, looked a little bit video game-ish. And now they have a pretty nice look. And I think that Kool-Aid, McKinstry, would be another player that would look great in those uniforms. Let's take his name off the board. Yeah, I'm totally pair McKinstry up with Marvin Harrison, with their young careers battling each other throughout their careers. Oh my gosh, man, this is a complete turnaround for the Cardinals. If the board fell out this way, I think they'd be lucky. Only five-pick remaining here, starting with the Buffalo Bills, number 28, who just created a massive, you know, Wider Seaver was already a whole flip team. But now it's like, you know, I'm not sure, I mean, I don't want to spoil anything for Breaking Bad, but you guys know, Gustavo Fringe, whenever he walked out of that room, the old home, you know, there was a hole. I feel like that's about what the, come on, man, you spun it for the Buffalo Bills, Wider Seaver room looks like at this point. So, you know, take that for what it's worth, guys. Yeah, love, man. So, I mean, yeah, why receiver was a problem up until, was it yesterday? Do you believe Stefan Diggs, of course, going to Houston, they would have needed a complimentary receiver for Stefan Diggs, seeing as they last, you know, Gabe Davis, too, and the free agency. So, I'm real curious about Mr. Fool, like, who is your next best receiver, because they would have to be a number one guy? He'd have to be on the outside by himself. And is there a number one receiver left that you think is worthy enough to be wearing that Buffalo Bills uniform? Um, I mean, I guess the long and short of it is, do I think there is a true stud number one left? I don't think so either. I don't think so either. I mean, do like, and at the same time, though, are they almost forced to still go wide receiver? Probably. Like, yeah, I think they're forcing them. Right. I think Buffalo is going to look riot if, if the Bills wouldn't take a wide receiver at this point. So, who I've got, I've got Brian Thomas Jr. is one of my top guys still available. I also, just because he is a physical specimen, uh, Keon Coleman. Yeah. Damn, we are, I was thinking, he could play the one. He's got that one, go up and get the ball, love his game. I mean, he's got it, man. I love his game. Yeah, I really think they go Keon Coleman here just for the fact. Brian Thomas, even in college, can break it as the, and I know, I mean, he's playing behind someone who's a superstar. Absolutely. But man, I tell you, I would, I think they go for the athletic freak here. Yeah, I love Keon Coleman, dude. So both of you guys are sold at this has to be a receiver pit. Yes, this, yeah, this is a guarantee. Yeah. Quite a receiver. And actually, I'm trying to buy full of trades up now. Exactly. Yeah. I hope that we can get a receiver that's sitting there. I hope so. Oh, yeah. Okay. All right. We're up here with the Detroit Lions. Oh, man, this is a team that really, I mean, they're already a rich team, you know, like, they don't really need a whole lot of like a rich gear. Whatever they take here is going to ultimately be like, man, like they've, they've really put themselves in a position where they can truly go BPA. Yeah, honestly. And they've got a lot of big guys. Oh, man. To find very slim. I was literally thinking that exact same thing. I'm not a big fan of taking the position this high, obviously. But whenever you're in a position like the Detroit Lions, then you just say screw it. We're going to win in the trenches. And good luck moving the line of scrimmage. Yes, we could agree there. That's right here. 29 overall. That's the only thing that was going to my mind is that we talk about it all the time, how teams want to build from the trenches up and how they've been doing it. So that's just the only fit that excites me with the way that the boy fell like a cornerback fell. Cool. I would have been all over that. But, yeah, obviously, I think sweats a sweats a nice spot for the Detroit Lions fits their mold. If you will, number 30 overall, the number one seed in the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens, you guys going to help out Lamar here? What are we doing? I think they fit with everything they did in the free agency period. I think they signed one of the best free agency signings throughout this period, getting Agilor. I know he's not everybody's cup of tea, getting Derek Henry, helping out that offensive backfield, signing Metabooky, reassuring their defensive line. They don't have a lot of holes. All I'm seeing is some back-end health, cornerback health, or edge is what I'm thinking. I don't think they need a whole lot of help on the offense. What do you think of cool? Yeah, I'm probably going with cornerback or edge too. I wouldn't be shocked if they went offensive line, because obviously, you invested in Derek Henry, you brought him in, and of course, you want to protect Lamar Jackson as well. All offensive line wouldn't shock me at this point, but I'm looking at who's still available. Tyler Geitens on the board, but I don't know if maybe this is too early for him. Way too early for him. I think me and Mike both agree he shouldn't be drafted in the first round. That's it. I'm not as familiar with his game, but I know just kind of from the research I've been doing there. I mean, he's been projected kind of towards the bottom of the first, top of the second. I think they're going defense, man. I really do, but I just don't think what they really want is not there. I really think that they were hoping for one of these quarterbacks to kind of fall to him, maybe an edge. I think a guy like Lotu, Lotu, I don't think he's going to get drafted that high, kind of like what the guys drafted him earlier. This would be a good spot for him, but shit, man. You guys aren't a little bit of a pickle here. Hey, do you want, you know, we can go, who wants to be? Can I have some ideas on some ideas? Yeah, I would love to think what kind of what y'all are, what y'all think. Just looking at what their wide receiver core has right now, you know, obviously they have the field stretcher was a flower. I have the very consistent threat across the middle of Mark Andrews. Rashad Bateman still kind of, you know, we're still waiting, the jury's still halfway. Yeah, he's a half way. But someone that I do think and come in and try to fill that X wide receiver role. Now hear me out here. I would love to hear it. A.D. Mitchell from the University of Texas, six, two, two, two, two, two, two, five pounds. Very long lean. Very out of it as well. Very exposed. He's my, he's my next guy, him or Brian Thomas, I have them at a 1A, 1B best wide receiver available right now. And I think it's not a bad pick. The Ravens defense has always been good with whatever groceries they're giving. Just recycling. They have been ramen noodles and they're going to cook up a five star mill. But when you look at the offense, when you look at what the offense goes, you know, has going on, that's what they get like in the city and that conference championship to that holds them back, not only in their own, you know, division, which they won their division, they got the number one overall seat. But look at the other wide receiver cores that are in that division now. Like they're looking pretty game. But obviously, you know, Mark Cooper, who also the Browns just get, they got Jerry Judy to pair with a bunch of more who's already there. Like the bounce have a good wide receiver core. The Bengals obviously have one of the best wide receiver cores in the league. The Steelers, they're on the way up. Hey, Johnson, how are you? Yeah, I was going to say, I like to get with that Divo Samuel style. The pig is ultimately you guys, I just wanted to chime in. If you guys were in a little bit of a hole, there is one that I would do in this situation. But yeah, who ever? Yes. Like I said, I'm like Brian Thomas. I love Adam and Mitchell. He would fit in, give him that deep field threat. Fuck man. This is tough. Like I said, the wide receiver group hasn't even been rated. And we are towards the end of the first round. And honestly, not even three quarters of my wide receiver list hasn't even been touched. So man, it's right. Oh, dude. Yeah, exactly. Dude. Yeah, what do you think? What do you think? Let's pull and trigger on a receiver. What do you think? Yeah, I mean, I think I think I don't think wide receiver if like if the draft would fall this way, I really don't think wide receiver is out of the realm of possibility. And yeah, I like AD Mitchell as well. I think, yeah, I think that's a home run hit. And that's what I'm looking at the other wide receivers. And yeah, he's about one of the top ones I have left as well. So let's do it. Let's get that long horn home in Baltimore. All right, AD Mitchell goes to Baltimore. I guess that was a successful phone. It was a good phone and we'll see. Yeah, he was. Yeah, he was definitely in my consideration. Let's see those San Francisco 49ers. It says they could use an offensive tackle here. Obviously, Trent Williams, no spring chicken. They're offensive. They're offensive line is a big part of why they're why they're so successful because of how well they can run block and pass block and everything that they're able to do just with that scheme in general, Kyle Shanahan, scheming it up. But are you spinning a first round pick on Tyler Gaiden? Who's probably Tyler Gaiden? I'm sitting in a first round pick a Jordan Morgan. Okay. Well, on the same page there, but I would plug him off the board immediately through your starter for the University of Arizona. He's got some great feet, great hands. I thought like learning from Trent Williams for however long is going to eventually, you know, be the left tackle of the future, but maybe put him on the right side. That's what we drafted Jake Matthews for back in 2014. He was supposed to be our right tackle. Literally, the second preseason game, our left tackle towards ACL and the rest is history. Jake Matthews has the longest active like start streak in franchise history, a left tackle. So sometimes you just look into these picks and I think Jordan Morgan could be one of them. We on the same page with that. It is our final pick here. Yeah, I am on the board with that. He's such a plug and play guy that really, if you want him sitting behind somebody, this is the perfect opportunity for him to just sit back, learn from the best and wait his turn to shine because this kid's amazing. So perfect place for him. Super Bowl champion, Kansas City Chiefs. Where are they going here? Now keep in mind Rishi Rice maybe. But I mean, with that, I mean, it's some news that you don't want to hear going into the car register to him like he's it's all he's going to get in trouble. Maybe he ran away. It's for a year. He's not going to play next year. That's a fact. The reason why is that don't let Brian Thomas Jr. fall to the Chiefs because they just got more and he's like pretty much exactly what they need is just that big I'd receive had the production. This isn't our pick, but this would scare the living shit out of like the other AFC teams if like actually like they were able to get like another infinity stone, you know. Honestly, dude, there's so many receivers that it doesn't matter. You know, I was positioned. It's like Patrick Mahomes makes, you know, five star meals out of, you know, what he has in the cabinet. He's done it over and over again. Guys like Xavier Laguette, he would love to have Brian Thomas Jr. Lad and my God. Oh, dude, don't even that's the thing. That's the thing. What I will say is people will ask you who's your favorite wide receiver in this class? Who's the best one on my favorite? Who's going to have the best water? Who's going to have the best career? You know what the honest answer is? Whoever gets up with Mahomes. Whoever gets drafted by the Chiefs, that's he's going to have the best career. That's what sucks is because I just recorded a mock draft a couple of days ago. And this was like my plum crazy pick was don't let Lad Makonki go to Patrick Mahomes and be that slot receiver sure handed. That's what the Kansas City Chiefs problem was. Guys that couldn't catch the ball didn't run the right routes. Lad Makonki is a stand up guy. You know, he won the man of the year in the college year. You know, he is like a dude and runs Chris routes. He's a hundred room for 2.0. He's a West Wilker 2.0, Danny Amadola 2.0. And look what Tom Brady did with those guys. Give him Lad Makonki and guess what happens? Yeah, I'm glad to hear that like I wasn't sure like how people were feeling on Lad Makonki. I'm glad to see that other people are big fans of him. I really like him. I didn't I don't think he'd go in the first and if Brian Thomas Jr is there on the board, I mean Andy Reed and them, they're going to have some big decisions to make. But man, I tell you, I do I really like him as well. And I mean, he's a Georgia guy and the Georgia guys that lately just they've been producing at the next level. Yeah, I mean, look at what the Eagles do. They draft Georgia guys every single year. Andy Reed is still a Philadelphia Eagle at heart. So you know, he probably feel pretty comfortable taking a University of Georgia guy that tried taking me Cole Hardman a few years back. You know, Georgia guy, he actually scored the game winning touchdown in the Super Bowl. So it's clearly worked out for him in the past. Lad Makonki will be a great pick. So did you guys make that pick? No, let's just go ahead and go Brian Thomas Jr. I mean, my next best guy. I just hated to do that. It's safer. That's coming out. Yeah, exactly. I mean, it's a safer pick, but you know, who knows what could actually happen? Because there were a lot of people that were saying so and so was a safer pick than Cooper Cup back in the right. Really never know, because if you look at some of the cornerbacks in this draft class, whenever you're studying them, or studying them, one note that you'll see next to a lot of their names is quote unquote struggled with Makonki and these cooks, like he's a tough guy to guard one. But Brian Thomas Jr. has an upside and I think that whichever wide receiver ends up in Kansas City could very well end up being the best one out of the whole bunch. Besides like Martin Harrison Jr. obviously, he's where he goes. We're talking about the guys that need a landing spot. And you know, whenever you're talking about putting all these guys in a specific tier, you know, landing spot has a lot to do with their success. But that does do it for us here on this tag team edition mock draft on the football function podcast episode 500. It's a long one. We're creeping up right here on a minute 20 or an hour 20. So we definitely want to let our guests go enjoy the rest of their evening. It's pretty late where they are. Obviously they all have things to do. So I did just want to give you guys a shout out. I appreciate you taking the time. It's a long episode. I do not take that for granted. I really appreciate you guys being willing to come on for episode 500 anyway. But the fact that it was a little bit of a late start and we ran kind of late, you know, obviously credit to you guys for doing your thing and having a damn good mock draft because it was a hell of an experience, a hell of an exercise. And we liked bouncing our thoughts off of you guys and seeing your, you know, your school of thought when it comes to some of these picks. And obviously that's the best way to do mock drafts is whenever you have more people. So once again, thank you guys so much. Is there any, you know, any shout outs and plugs, anything like that before we let you guys go? Oh, no, just it's a pleasure to be on 500. Like you said, definitely got a couple episodes coming your way, Mike. You're pretty soon. And like I said, breaking down position by position in my own way, what I think, because like I said, you know, like you said, meeting different heads, a lot of different opinions on who's like your best, you know, so-and-so position is all great. And like I said, I got a mock draft that I recorded a couple of days ago. And some of these picks is actually exactly what I did. So it means a bunch of good guys that know their stuff is very good. So big shout outs to you guys. Thank you all so much. Cheers to another 500 more. Thank you guys so much for this ride. And big shout outs to Harkpool, everybody else out there that's listening, just keep doing your thing from old us because we wouldn't be anywhere with that. God bless. Yeah, I guess I'll jump in right there. I don't know if this is going to speak to our preparedness or not. But you know, CM and I didn't get a chance to text them before this evening. I meant to, but I just didn't get a chance to. But I mean, you saw other than like maybe like two picks, three picks tops. Him and I were very much on the same wavelength. And I 100% believe, know that a part of that is because I listen to CM, I listen to the shows, you know, and you know, I know kind of how he picks, but also he's very knowledgeable. So, you know, being able to kind of follow through with that, it makes it easier to see where the team needs are and how these college guys have been doing kind of coming along. But yeah, man, I was very surprised. I thought for sure, like after pick like six, I was like, Oh yeah, CM and I were going to disagree. Like, I'm going to be picking some dumb people. And like, sure enough, man, see, we were on the same page. So yeah, no, but shout outs to you, man, always love being on here with you. Appreciate you guys for having me on for episode 500. Mike, when you met, when you texted me and said about, Hey, we want you on here. It was definitely a good feeling. I love being on here with you, fellas. And glad to be along for the ride. Oh, hey, you guys are always welcome. That's one thing that we definitely want to make clear. You guys can always come on the show and you definitely add to it whenever you come. It's not just, you know, feeling a space here and having another voice on a microphone. Like there's listeners who enjoy when you guys are on and obviously you guys, I mean, you mentioned it, the chemistry was there. Like, I was like, damn, man, like me and Teri are sitting here two feet away from you guys and you guys are just over there in sync, like a, like a true war. I was like, I asked myself, I was like, damn, like, I texted these guys early enough in the day, did they message each other and I like a draft plan? It sort of looked like, I will, I can complete, I will put that on my mama and say, me and our poll have not talked at all today at all. I promise you, we didn't even know the draft order either. So even if we didn't, we didn't know the draft order, so there was no way we could possibly have been, no eye to eye. Well, you know what they say, great minds think alike and that's definitely the case here. But thank you guys so much, Teri. Thank you for everything you've done for the show. Obviously, glad that you were here and healthy for the episode 500. Thanks brother. Means a lot. It means a lot for all the listeners too. You know, I appreciate you guys who come back, you know, day in, day out, week in, week out. Anytime there's an episode available, I appreciate those of you that make sure that you make it part of your day or your week, you know, it goes a long way, spreading the word, following the show on whatever social media, you know, just getting the eyes and the grill of marketing is really, you know, what helps us out. But as long as it reaches one person and they're like, man, I enjoyed that episode, then I consider it a success. So thank you guys so much, all of you out there, any listener from, you know, any country CM likes to name them off. There's a very long, very long list and I'm sure they appreciate, you know, they appreciate the shout out. It's getting longer and longer. It's a very long list. You know, we appreciate the international listeners as well. Guys are awesome. I'm going to let these guys go. It's very late. They have things that they would like to do and I want them to relax, enjoy the rest of their evening. So one more time, guys. Thank you so much. Thank you to the listeners. Have a damn good weekend. HP, enjoy WrestleMania. Know that millions of people literally are jealous of you for what you're going to get to experience this weekend. Yeah. Hell yeah, baby. We're going for day one and day two. So you know, I'm going to be enjoying some drinks. I'm going to be yelling at some Cody Rhodes fans. It's going to be fantastic. One thing I will say, you have to, I'm not sure where it's going to be located, but you have to get tickets for the WrestleMania access. It's just, it makes the whole experience 10 times better. And that's not an exaggeration. Is that the world? Is that the WWE world? Is that what you're talking about? It's like a super store where they have so many different things you can do in there. Like we literally, me and my girlfriend, Ash, we got to literally sit in a like WWE chairs with a WWE microphone as pretty much like we were like on the Kevin Ellen show and then, you know, Miz TV and things like that. So there's, there's just a lot of different things you can do. There are wrestlers there who like, if you pay, you know, I think you're like 50 bucks or something like that, you could actually go take a picture with them. So there's a lot of, there's a lot of opportunities there. But yeah, WWE access or WrestleMania access. I think there's like two Xs. It's like a X, X, E, S, S or something like that. I know, I know you got to be careful entering in those letters on a website. But if you do type them in, you should be able to find it's only like, I think like 20 bucks to get in. But once you get in, I mean, it's it's literally like walking into as if WWE shop was a physical store. And like, there's a man, that's it. So those tickets have been secured. And as part of that experience, that's part of the reason we're leaving tomorrow morning. The Pat McAfee show is recording live there. And so we're hoping to get there. I don't like I'm, we're not going super early, but hoping to get there in enough time that we can kind of get in the background crowd of the Pat McAfee show. So yeah, I mean, we're like, yeah, tickets that we got. I got us tickets for the whole weekend for that. So, yeah, because like you can get a general pass for the whole weekend. So yeah, we're going out there going to try and see Pat and, you know, you know, trying to see if I can get on the show, you know, even if I just got to break down the barricade. You got to have a sign. No doubt, no doubt. As someone who went to WrestleMania just two years ago, one thing I will say, take pictures as many as you possibly can. Because I like to go back and look at mine and I'm always telling myself, man, I wish I would have taken more because I know that the actual experience was so much better than what like my pictures do at Justice. So that's all the advice I could get, soak it up, enjoy it, have a damn good time, buddy. Obviously, this is something that does not happen every day. But one more time since we're here, thank you to all the listeners. Have a damn good weekend. Walk passionately in the direction of your dreams and we'll talk to you soon. [BLANK_AUDIO]
