Od chvíle, kdy se princ Harry s manželkou Meghan rozhodli přesídlit za oceán, Karel III. svá mladší vnoučata, čtyřletého Archieho a dvouletou Lilibet, viděl maximálně na videu. Naposledy se s nimi setkal v červnu 2022 při příležitosti platinového výročí vlády zesnulé královny Alžběty II. Podle zpráv z jeho okolí se mu po nich velmi stýská.
