It’s Beaver Moon time!
November's full moon is the beaver. All are busy in a fever. For the winter we must get ready. Keep on working very steady. The full moon this November is called the beaver moon and it will occur on Friday November 15th. It will be the fourth and final super moon of 2024 so make sure to look up to see that huge disc in the sky. Now according to the old farmers almanac, both early Native American tribes and American colonists gave this full moon its name. They observed that beavers began sheltering in their lodges after gathering and storing enough food to last the winter. Not so good for the beavers however were the fur trappers who hunted the fattened up beavers for their pelts. Other names for November's full moon include the frosty moon. If you live up north you'll know why. The digging moon went animals' forage. Deer-redding moon when mating occurs and the white fish moon when they fish spawn. Shortcast Club
