AP News. I'm Ed Donohue. The Arizona Supreme Court ruled the state can enforce a law passed in 1864 that criminalizes almost all abortions. The exception is when a mother's life is at stake. Enforcement can take effect in 14 days. It could lead to prosecutions in Arizona of doctors who perform abortions. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says Israel has not told the U.S. of any specific date for the start of a major offensive into the southern Gaza city of Rafa. Blinken says the goal is to avoid real harm to civilians. The AP's Joseph Fetterman is in Jerusalem. Israel also has ordered 40,000 tents for what it says will be used to provide shelter to people who are displaced and evacuated ahead of this operation. For the time being, the invasion of Rafa does not appear imminent. Netanyahu has not announced what this date is. There are no signs of Israeli ground troops preparing to move in, and the tents haven't arrived. Another attempt to delay former President Donald Trump's Hush Money trial in New York has been rejected. Barring further court action, Donald Trump's Hush Money criminal case will begin April 15 with jury selection in a Manhattan courthouse. Trump's lawyers wanted the trial postponed indefinitely while he continues to try and fight a gag order in the case. This would be the first of his four criminal cases to go to trial. The former president pleaded not guilty to charges of falsifying business records to hide the nature of payments to Michael Cohen in connection with two women he's alleged to have cheated on his wife with. One of them Stormy Daniels. Trump also tried to get the trial postponed by moving the venue. But that did not work. Julie Walker, New York. The parents of a Michigan school shooter have each been sentenced to at least 10 years in prison for failing to take steps that could have prevented the killing of four students in 2021. John Calipari is stepping down as Kentucky's men's basketball coach. This is AP news. A bill will be filed to rebuild the collapsed key bridge in Baltimore. Democratic Senator Ben Cardin from Maryland said he plans to bring legislation to fund the rebuilding of the key bridge. This will be 100% federal funds in regards to the costs related to the destruction and replacement of the Francis Scott key bridge. Crews are still working to clean up the debris from the collapse, but some fall in pieces weigh tons. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said the federal government is allocating funds for both recovery and rebuilding the bridge. Already we have released $60 million in emergency relief funding that is going toward immediate uses both related to the record removal and to the preparation for the building of the new bridge. The Army Corps of Engineers still hopes to reopen a limited access channel, barge container ships in some vessels by the end of April, and then return normal capacity to Baltimore's port by May 31st.
