Here's what's trending in the Middle East and around the world. Today, tens of thousands of energy experts, business figures, national leaders, scientists and policy specialists have gathered in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, for the COP 29 UN Climate Summit. While there's a lot on the agenda, Indian climate gurus at Guru says more climate finance must be invested towards small farmers so they can focus on improving soil health, restoring biodiversity, boosting food security and generating profits. Paris Police announced that 4,000 officers and 1,600 stadium staff will be deployed to secure a France-Israel football match, focusing on safety in the stadium and public transportation. This heightened security comes days after Israeli fans clashed, with protesters in Amsterdam. Authorities have also advised Israeli fans to avoid attending to reduce the risk of violence. The tensions began when fans of Makabi Tel Aviv reportedly removed a Palestinian flag and chanted anti-Arab slogans. The Amsterdam police have also arrested dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters who ignored the government ban on demonstrations following the incident. Arab and Islamic leaders will meet in Riyadh today to discuss regional de-escalation efforts. Focusing on the Israel War in Gaza and Lebanon, amid uncertainty surrounding Donald Trump's presidency, which could reshape the Middle East political landscape, political sources in the Middle East have also told the national that the primary focus of the discussions would be to develop a common strategy in preparation for the new U.S. administration starting in January.
