So, yeah, like you said the title, this video is, we were, we were, we were, we were, we were, we were demonetized and how we got our channel to be monetized back again. So if you are going through that, that's why you probably clicked. You're about to find out how we got ourselves out of that and how it happened. Okay. So, this is what happened. So while we're taking our mental break, boom! And Emo comes in and he says, "Dear Chaplain, to us." No, dear, tune in with the Chaplain. We have been demonetized, blah, blah, blah, blah. We'll attach the letter. We've been demonetized. And we're like, "What? We haven't even been posted, like, we are on a mental break. What the mess?" We posted one video. Maybe one, I think two. We were posting a few shows. Two shows, yeah. And, God, that was just happening to us. Like, I mean, we've been really trying, because even with our videos, the music, which is what gets people mostly to be copyrighted or demonetized or whatever. We have been really looking for music that either we have bought or that is for free on the YouTube series. It's just two years. Yeah. And so how did it happen? Because we've been so careful, even like the words that we use, you know, for the community guidelines, we've been trying not to use words that will trigger the algorithm. The algorithmic and stuff like that. And, but it did. So we went back to our channel because, unfortunately, it doesn't tell you what causes, what's the cause of your demonetization. It just, it just gives you a vague reason, you know. And so we were like, "Okay, how are we going to figure this out?" Because we can't just do our channel. It has, you know, over 1,500 subscribers. And grown. And all the hard work we've put in people who know there are some channels, especially channels like ours, which is not a gossip channel. It takes time to grow. And it's hard to just get loyal subscribers. So we're not going to just leave you hanging like that. So we had to figure out how, while we were on our mental break, get it back on to being monetized again. It wasn't really about the big monetized getting the money because we haven't been really making much money. It's the hardest thing. We haven't actually made it anyway. Okay. Well, we've made, but we haven't even passed out. Yeah, no, no, it's not enough. It's not enough. Okay, we just let it, letting it live there. One day we'll make a video on how much we've made this one. Yeah, it's a joke. And so we're just letting it sit there until it builds up to a decent amount. Okay. Until they force us. Oh, until they force us. Yeah. Or apply some as a decent amount. Yeah. And we need it. Yes. So while contemplating that we were like, okay, we've got to get ourselves monetized again. We're given two options. Yes. Two options. Yes. Okay. One of the options was you could just start over. Yeah. And just rebuild it. Yeah. One of the options was you could submit an appeal. Yeah. Me actual appeal process. I'm like, we're going to do it because it's not hard. We're going to. And we know that we want that wrong. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. We were thinking, okay, maybe there's one show that we put out that was done by AI. Yes. And then there's one that we did. They could have been the music, but that could have been just a copyright. Yes. You know, when we did that. It's not really a copyright strife for music. Yeah. They just, they just. In an legible form. Yes. For monetization. Yes. But no, sometimes it is a copyright strike. Some of these music companies will copyright strike it. Then we thought, okay, we're going to go with appealing. Yes. We're going to go with appeal. Yeah. Yeah. So when would that appeal? And there was quite a lot that they wanted from this appeal. And it looked like that a lot. It makes you scared to go for it. Yes. You know, they would rather you start over because at least they're not paying anything. Yes. Yeah. And I'm like, no, that little coin that we do have, we're not losing it. Right. And they say like deletes every, like the videos that you think could cause your demonetization. Yeah. But they're not telling you which ones, you know. And so when you, when you, when you appealing, you just tell them that, I don't see why you wanting me to appeal. I mean, wanting me demonetizing it because I've been following the committee guidelines. I have not used anybody's content, you know, um, because even the, just the reuse could get into trouble of people's contents. If you're not using within, um, the guidelines. Yes. And most of our videos, it is us talking and we, you know, we only have one video that was a guy would have, and now Google taking them into AI and, and yeah, we've thought everything. So yeah. Yeah. So having said that, then we decided to appeal and we're going to touch that video right now for you guys to see. Okay. Hello. Um, reviewer team. My name is, uh, we are the chaplains. Oh God. I just wanted to put out, um, an appeal on our channel being demonetized. Um, we just want to show you how we record and, um, what our channel is about. We mostly speak about our life experiences and, um, in terms of business. Mental health. Ministry and, um, the different countries, South African America. And then here and there with our show, we would have some, um, information that is trendy or things that we see that the two cultures can relate to. We, um, we use our iPad to record, which is usually on a tripod stand in front of us. Um, and we use. The role passed the process pro and these microphones. For the audio. For audio. We said a clip here when we editing to show you how we do it because we don't know how to do the one while we're recording a video for you. And, um, throughout all our videos, we realized that yes, there's only one video. Um, on, in our channel that. That's in the shorts. Um, that is. Here's why we use AI. Um, we'll show you when we editing because right now that I want to look at you in the face. I don't think able to do it properly before. So we use AI for that. Um, it was just a short clip. Um, we'll work it on. So this is the video that we use AI. But the rest of the videos is just us speaking and we use open clips. Of those clips. We have like the narration. We started using open clips. For the narration of the words that we're speaking into, cut it into shorts. From a long form version. I think that's, that's really about it. So we would really love for you guys to consider our appeal. Um, this YouTube channel just helps us to reconnect as a couple and to people. To our audience who are both in the United States and South Africa. And, uh, we are very discouraged by the fact that you've, um, you have demonetized us. Um, and we hope that our appeal is received. Well, thank you. Thank you. You've seen for yourself. It's, it's just a three minute video. They say it mustn't be long, I believe, then three or five minutes. Yeah, no longer in three minutes. Three minutes or five minutes. It was three minutes. Three minutes. Okay. Yeah. I wish I put up the email. Three thousand. Yeah. Anyways. And so, um, we did that. And within a couple of days, they don't even say anything to you to say, oh, you've been, uh, uh, monetized again. You just see like on your channel, they've removed the demonetization part. Either way, that video is unlisted. It's unlisted. So it's just for them to see. You tell them, um, what, what's, why they, because they give you the requirements of what, um, what they want to see in that video. One of the things is they want to see your link within the first thirty seconds of the video. Like your, your, your channel link and they want you to tell them, um, which equipment are you using to record your videos and even possibly show them the equipment. What you did. They want you to tell them, I believe, what, what you guys are, what, what's your channel about? And, um, that's it. Yeah. And what, what we use to edit as well. Oh yeah. Our editing tool. What we use to edit is what we use to edit as well as what we use to record. Yeah. So, you know, we show the iPad, you know, it takes like, and now most likely because we eventually, you're going to see it with the new phone. And that you're going to see that one of the videos that we are going to do, uh, unbosses. So we definitely going to use our phone with the new Apple 16. Because we are about to get our Apple 16 and we're excited. Yeah. So, um, yeah. So that's, that's basically it. So I'm sure you've seen from the video that it's not Einstein crazy thing that they need. Yeah. But they, their letter comes out so formal. It makes you think, Oh my God, I would, I would not. Yeah. You would choose the first option. So if you choose the first option, I would always say to people, just appeal. Yeah. And then if they say no to the appeal, then you, you then go for options. So don't just go for option. One, the first one. The easy way out. Don't go. That's the easy way out. Yeah. You're deleting videos that you think. Yeah. In fact, I think the video that made it an out, made it, made them think that we were doing something wrong. We have a video I think 10,000. Yeah. It's short. Yes. So that was like an outlier because our videos are not that great. I'm hoping with this. As since we're reinventing ourselves and starting over, maybe you guys are going to want. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So we just wanted to share that so that it's not like something that scares people off to say, Hey, I've been demonetized. So what am I going to do? Should I start a new channel? No. Should I delete my videos? But we just say, just go for option two, which says appeal. If you know that you've been honest with your videos, it's just you. Even if it's like you're a commentary channel. I mean, you're doing commentary. You are allowed to do that. Yes. And that's okay. So besides from that, I believe you. Listen, you got this. Yes. All right. So on that note, if there's anything else you'd like to add to the chat. Oh, no. I think that's pretty much it. Yeah. So we don't go for the easy way out. Yeah. And so yeah. Don't go for the easy way out, because sometimes things could look as easy. What the day is to be easy as what they look. Yeah. I think it just messed up things. Things may look hard. Yes. They may look harder than what they had. They're how they look. And Nelson Mandela would always say, well, not always, but say this is a quote. It always seems impossible until it's done. Until it's done. Yes. Oh, you know, we thought it was an impossible situation. Part of me was like, you know what, this is delicious. And it literally is like no way. No way. I ain't doing that. No. We are going to give it a try. Yes. And if we fail option two, then we'll go back to option one. Yeah. Could I believe like simple? I know because our content, it wasn't as with. It's mostly common. And most of you talking about education or edutainment or whatever. Yeah. And just us. So what they were talking about. We had a chance. Yeah. We had a chance. I actually know that you're seeing people's stuff there. Yeah. You might have a problem on your hands. Yes. Yes. But because of that, like, no, let's do option. You know, we built it up at this point. We're just not going to just pull it away. Yes. Yeah. So you got, so go out there. If you got that sign that says demonetize, go out there. Do your research.
