Welcome everybody to the the Monday live the live where you get to talk to us and ask some really fun questions We invite those questions. We are inside Texas. Welcome Join us at inside Texas calm We are running a special right now. We'd love for you to join us if you get two months of All of our content for one American dollar and we would love for you to to join us there Just use the promo code it one you're gonna get two months for one American dollar. All right guys I haven't had the opportunity to talk to you Since this last game. I'd love to just get your Shoot from the hip impressions. What were your thoughts Eric after Saturday? Sort of relief I guess just you know just to see the offense bounce back and play well that was the main takeaway for me You know, I've mentioned this before but we were pretty excited in the in the group text message Just seeing like new wrinkles on offense and seeing Quinn become more confident That was that was my main takeaway, you know The defense has been such a mainstay this entire season You know, they were pitching a shutout and they probably would have pitched a shutout had the game been in doubt Or at least come close to it But yeah, you know defense did their thing it was It was more relief, right? I think October this past October was reminiscent in the last October where they hit a bit of a malaise or maybe a wall And then they kind of you know got rejuvenated in November. I think we're seeing something similar now What did you did you see everything you want to see their young Ian? You know if they would hit some post routes That would feel really good they Teams are trying to take those away, but They did hit a couple deep shots and Quinn actually threw Like what two or three they were pretty good that weren't caught So that was actually pretty encouraging watching live. It kind of felt like it was more in the same with a lot of Perimeter throws and Florida just couldn't keep up But on rewatch they actually tested them down the field and did it pretty effectively Maybe a little more than it felt like live For me, I don't know why that Being in the stadium it was easier to see that they were going more vertical and like you said DeAndre Morphe It becomes up with either one of those catches You know Quinn was an inch away from having five touchdown passes in the first half more was bobbling out of bounds And then that that drive finished with a running touchdown That first ball of more was pretty pretty well thrown Yeah, I like what I saw I was Again just relieved They're they were definitely rearmed with new wrinkles and quick read shot plays that Quinn is always dangerous on and that he's for the last three years they've been able to get him to be pretty effective on so I think they've got I Think they'll have enough momentum to get through the end of the year and Then the SEC Championship and playoffs be some a different beast and we'll see if they have one more gear for that or not Drew what were your I know you were on the you're on the post game there. What were your takeaways? It was just good to see everything feel like it was back in sync You know quam was playing clean Sark his plate calling was just fine. He had some things dialed up one thing I know if Sark can find if you if your DB's are not good at communicating or if you have a tendency Or there's a chance you can you can let just let a guy loose This is not the team you want to play against so Sark will find a few of those plays and he found enough to actually Hit on and like I mean, we just we missed a few of those passes So I just feel good to see the offense being seeing if the defense continue to do what they're doing One thing I wish we would see more of I'd like to see more of and then this has nothing to do with how well Jaden Blue and End up and and Trey Wiesner played but be nice if Jared Gibson didn't drop the ball The ball and put it on the turf. He's someone. I think we just want to see a little bit more of His pads are always square. He's always coming downhill. I just I'd like the way see I'm up to see him I see him run the ball. It's just If you're not wanting more of him in just a little bit, we've seen I Don't know what you're saying, but also know there's a process to this and yeah I mean, he's he's the guy we put in when we know we're running and the other team knows we're running and he seems Like he does just fine doing it. So Maybe we should start having to do it earlier in the games on the known running downs to see how it works out Roaster is thrown in there. He says hey Drew, remember I joked about Gibson carrying the ball around campus Just like they did on the program. I don't know if you saw Sork's presser today But he's he's got he's got Gibson carrying the ball around campus today, which Is great. Really happy to see that. I will say the thing that's really at least for me just from a pure fan perspective is just how allergic Gibson is to avoid in contact man does he just seek it out and just love to hit and Obviously I talked to coach about this a little bit on Sunday during our live show That's you know as a young player. This is obviously something that was he was perfectly capable of doing in high school I think the wear and tear is gonna be a little bit more significant at the college level and Getting him to understand the advantages of maybe making a guy miss every now and again Isn't that's a really a bad thing but from a fan perspective. I'm with you Drew I just I'd love to see him down there on known and just let him go because I mean everybody knows he's doing it The thing is I don't even think he's like a battering ram or anything like that He's just you know, he's gonna slip through on tackles. He'll make guys who are reaching for it miss and I do think he plays he leverages his his he has great contact balance, but he's good at Just seeing leverage seeing blocks and just making sure he makes just subtle enough of a move for you know to miss on tackles. So Well, maybe we'll see more Think like Sark has a plan on building him in over the next Back after the season So hopefully get some more reps for him in the next couple weeks before we really load up I'd I'd love to hear your thoughts on this Eric Just being in the stadium, but Sark commented on this today and this is one of those things This one of those wrinkles in a game that is most evident I think in the rewatch, but Just the downfield blocking. I mean having you know having majors downfield finding work is Really really encouraging and I'm just curious how evident that was in the stadium what you're seeing Yeah, the perimeter blocking was really good guys getting out in front. We saw that a lot in the swing passes Kevin Banks did great Ryan Wingo did great downfield. Yeah, that's there. It's you guys. You know, it's what Sark talks about, you know These guys playing unselfishly You know because it's gonna be your turn next you might be the guy benefiting from it But if you make the block next time the guy's gonna block for you Down the road, so we saw a lot of good good play on the perimeter and a lot of talking about subtle moves There's a lot of little subtle moves, you know Jayden blue bless some guys on the carpet. There was a lot of athletes making plays and it was great great great to see Isaiah Bond back You know we could tell that the offense was lacking some firepower with him out And you know he showed out he didn't have a lot of touches, but he made the most of what he did get We are I'm sorry interrupt. Go ahead. I'll see I have a Gibson take Go on then they and keeping with my the run game doesn't matter There are times when you want to be able to run the ball like the red zone or third and two or the end of the game when you just want to run out the clock and I actually I'm starting to think that all the throwing to the running backs is great teams are most teams don't have good answers for it and Quinn throws the swing pass extremely well, but they will need Gibson for those moments when When you when you got a run and everybody knows you got to run and those are there's a lot of situations like that What about fourth and one from their own 24 and on their second drive exactly exactly yeah But I don't think that they need him to like be running for a hundred yards a game or anything he just needs to be running for 25 yards in the moments. They really matter, you know See he's the type of player you may not have a plan for him to get an under yards, but if they're not tackling him He's finding those chunk yards. You just you keep feeding him. I don't think the intention will be that I'm with you Ian but I do think he has that type of ability It's to just create chunk plays in the run game that can exhaust a defense So it may not be what we want to do what we want to lead with but Regardless of the situation if you put a man on first and 10 and he's getting seven yards. Oh, let's try to see what happens the next time I think Stark would disagree with Ian some where he would start definitely wants to use a run game to be more balanced You know, that's kind of just was his mo and Alabama Tried to be a demo with Bijon and Roshan didn't always work out the passing game couldn't always deliver on the promise of the running game But I think Sarkis I Think Sarkis has found a way to replace the running game with the perimeter passing some degree and in some games We see more RPO's than others But you know, I think an ideal situation. He's gonna want to see more of Gibson getting 5 10 yards Relatively consistently and then start hitting over the top more often Maybe that's a year away. I think he'll do that when he can But my point is just that I don't think it I don't think it matters that they can't it hasn't mattered. Yeah You know as help me out remind me Eric is he his absence been was he nicked up at all? Or is this just he wasn't ready? Well, he was nicked up, but he also wasn't playing As consistently as they would like right, you know, they knew they knew going in this week They're gonna try to feed him the ball. They didn't know exactly how the game would play out Could have been one of those things where you get five carries or hand it up with I think 16 So because he was earning him who's playing well They didn't really have to run the ball in the first half either So it kind of worked out perfectly that he got carries in the second half We got some really good Some super chess coming in here and obviously people are wanting to talk about Quinn in this game before we do I would love to hear from one of our sponsors This video is brought to you by Luxe kitchen and bath Luxe has been offering high-end kitchen and bathroom remodels for three generations throughout the greater Austin area With five-star review after five-star review on Google and Facebook and an a+ rating from the Better Business Bureau You can put your faith in Luxe kitchen and Baths award-winning designers and skilled craft people to bring to life that dream vision of your special home But that's not all Luxe's all-star team provides full remodels large additions and even commercial buildouts as well So call Luxe kitchen and Bath at 833-358 luxe today Or visit Luxe kitchen bath calm to discover where quality meets luxury and begin the process of transforming your home Get a free quote today by calling 833-358 luxe That's L-U-X-E Or by visiting Luxe kitchen bath calm link in the description The patron saint of super chats Brett Nelson has won for us and we are going to get to that Brett But I just since we're on this floor to game I'm just Brett is asking is how much does Quinn's performance have to do with University of Florida and for those of you that don't know a heavily depleted University of Florida in terms of their injuries versus Quinn himself being fully healthy. What are your thoughts on that Ian? I Mean I think it's both. I thought he was He looked pretty healthy to me against Vanderbilt. I think he was better still this week But I I agree with Sark that against Vanderbilt He looked like he'd mostly shaken it off and he was stepping up in the pocket and making good decisions I think there was he was healthier against Florida I think that they had reloaded to playbook with some fresh ideas So teams couldn't just sit on the plays that they'd already shown on tape as easily And then obviously Florida was totally overmatched like that was if they if they had played that same game against You know in a rematch with Georgia or against I'm struggling to think of a good defensive team off the top of my head Tennessee It wouldn't they wouldn't have thrown for 333 yards and five touchdowns. I don't think But it was still a good performance. It wasn't just that Florida sucked That seemed to drive with you guys Yeah, yeah, I agree with that Yeah, it's confidence confidence has been the big issue. I think more so than the ab strain I'm tired of hearing about that abstract. I think confidence was as big as this you You never really gained it after the injury until we started to see signs of it again and in Vanderbilt and start design I think start had that game plan designed intentionally to instill confidence in them and regain it and I think we're gonna see it more and more And I'm expecting Quinn to have a big big big November, you know I wrote last week that you know the team that is gonna win the national championship It's probably gonna be the one that emerges with the best quarterback and right now the number one team in the country probably has the best College quarterback in Dylan Gabriel But you know there's a lot of room for yours to show more consistency and improvement to where Texas ends up November with the best quarterback and therefore the best chance at to win the national championship Still a ways to go work in progress. They gotta you know, they're gonna be an interesting game this weekend They're gonna have a good game plan for Texas I'm not sure they can execute the game plan, but Arkansas is gonna have an interesting game plan that makes Sark and yours think on their feet, and then you know Kentucky's okay, and then you know got A&M But I think We're seeing we're seeing a stair step for for yours that I think is going to just you know Keep going up and pretends good things for how the rest of the season is gonna play out and potentially the playoffs What I think one of the things I don't know if you guys did this today And I I tried to listen to Sam Pittman's press conference I have you guys ever listened to one of those if you're ever curious what your might sound like on koyludes I highly recommend it it is I've got that in the queue for tomorrow to write up some thoughts on that I didn't have a chance to watch that that's okay if you need something to fall asleep to I highly recommend it There's there's some monotone going on there that is honestly difficult to achieve so it's all I care all I care about is that they're easy to transcribe You know somebody It's gonna be easy to transcribe. I'm not sure there's any inflection, so it should be pretty straightforward good Those words sounds like lieutenant Aldo rain Heroes some of these guys are Hicks, and it's just one complete giant sentence a block of text that I'm like what do I? There's zero punctuation. I mean it's just it's pretty impressive, but let's So let's talk about this. This is a this is a rivalry game. Obviously. This is a game that That probably I think even Sark himself has admitted opened his eyes in 2021 as to the needs and maybe a stark reminder of what he had in his arsenal at that time And there's been massive change since then I don't I don't think there's any any question as to how different this team is than they were in 2021, but You know, we're going to fill to Fayetteville, and this is a this is a tough a tough place to play especially with With the history there, and I'm just curious what your thoughts are on this game drew moving Moving back into a southwestern conference rival. Obviously, this is you did not play in the south of your conference, but but a rivalry game nonetheless I Don't know man. I saw Arkansas play Ole Miss. I saw Arkansas play Texas A&M so From my perspective, I expect to see the best version of them Which is a physical version of them Version of them that I mean whether they want to control the clock or not I mean they know they can lead with that If they can get the run game going so I expected to be a really Challenging game if for no other reason for our defense. I mean They want to play a physical brand. They they're fine playing that they're comfortable playing that way So I do think this is a game where if our offense can get going earlier and put some pressure on them Earlier, it puts us in a nice spot, but more than anything else isn't this is not everyone keeps skipping ahead to two other games down the line I'm not assuming we're going to get the Arkansas that just went on three road games they played Georgia Kentucky and They play three role games back to back in Mizzou. Yeah, they played Mizzou all three games back to back You know, and then came back and lost to you know Vandy. So at the end of the day I'm sorry. I'm looking at the wrong schedule. I'm looking at Auburn's schedule I'm getting all my schedules mixed up Arkansas Arkansas you have to assume you're gonna get their best output Not what we've seen when they haven't been so great. So And if that's if that's the case I expect the physical game in the game We're gonna have to fight for four quarters regardless of how we looked last week this game this upcoming week is going to have a confident Arkansas team that's ready to be physical and We're gonna have to play them. I don't care what anybody says. We're gonna have to play them for four quarters. I Don't think there's there's anybody on this particular This four-square quadrant here that isn't of a certain vintage and doesn't take games for granted with Texas Right, I know I'm speaking for myself here. This is not something I'm Writing off as an immediate win. I'm just curious Drew Is there anything unique about playing in Fayetteville? Cuz I mean you were on that last in 2004 one of the last teams to go there and win The hate is palpable or this the crowd is palpable You you can sense like you feel it when you're in the stadium that there's something to it I mean we played on the road at Ohio State and that just felt like a loud stadium Arkansas felt like and that was at night So that that was a little bit different than I think these guys they're gonna have to deal with but playing in that stadium at night Yeah, it's it's a different Sarcle circle hopefully get his chance to do that again one day soon But yeah, this game being at 11. It's helpful cuz yeah that those fans at night It's loud stadium is right there on you It's actually really cool It was that was probably one of those my first that was my first road game. That was actually my first road game at Texas was Was that it was in Fayetteville? Readably cool environment. I'm glad I only got three snaps that game cuz yeah, I would have not been ready true, how does it compare to Lubbock are still water Lubbock It's not even a thought as far as routing this goes. I mean Get a few batteries thrown at you some tortillas, but they've kind of cracked down at stuff But the crowd itself when you're playing isn't rowdy Oklahoma State There are more Synchronized fan base like they have chats together, you know, and there's a first now like they really connect as a fan base And then their stadium I mean their their stands are right behind our bench and so they have those paddles and they were hitting on the wall I mean they were you felt the present too And hey, we went there. I mean all four years. I was at Texas I think we were losing to them early. I think each of the four years I think we were losing to them early in the game and had to come back and win so Yeah, Oklahoma State and that yeah, that was another place that it wasn't loud It's just the crowd in and of itself. You feel it was palpable that the hate the engagement all of that was really palpable There and Arkansas won't be any different Yeah, I've got a friend that's been to every game this this season all the road games all the home games And I asked him if he's going to Fayetteville and yeah, because I've heard of the reactions from the 2021 game He's like hell no, I'm going there again So that kind of aligns with what Drew's saying It is It is one of those those things I think that Really makes college football college football. I was talking about this on Sunday, you know with obviously we had some top five losses Some absolutely crazy finishes and it's it's the chaos right that this is what the NFL doesn't have the NFL is Buttoned up. They've got their act together. They don't have the chaos and to me the chaos is the juice I think that's that's where it's at and I'm really really happy that as a fan base as a Texas fan We actually get games like this. I think it's it's awesome for the sport And you are obviously gonna be breaking this down with Homer this week Would you care to give us a little preview of what your expectations are going into this game What do you want to see from both the Texas offense and the Texas defense? The run game is going to be really interesting the Texas run game. They have not really gotten it on track The blocking has not really been there and Arkansas has big physical defensive lineman So that's gonna be I mean they I wouldn't be surprised if they went back to the flyover To throw that back at Sark The SARC should be anticipating that if he's not already and if they do that then they have to trust their Defensive line to hold up a little more without as much help so that could be tricky for them, but They have big guys isn't land in it's land in Jackson. Right is the defensive isn't his like little brother committed to Texas Yeah, yeah, yeah, SARC was SARC was throwing out a compliment in the presser. He was like landed is like a first-round draft pick Maybe he is but I wondered if that was maybe also a little bit of a nod to the family since they're sending the other one to Texas I think that was a little bit of both but landing has you know I don't I haven't seen the latest in walks on landing, but he was talked about as a first-round draft pick throughout the offseason He's definitely good. Yeah. Yeah, he's getting you know, he had it coming out party last year. Yeah, he's a good player You know, the one game I really focused on Arkansas was the the win over Tennessee and their physicality really stood out in that game To me, but the question to me is, you know, they're really balanced on offense This is gonna be a very this is gonna be a tough game for the Texas defense more so than we've seen previously there They run the ball well. They throw the ball well They do have trouble in the red zone red zone defense would be big for Texas But they're gonna try to run it. I know they've got some injury issues with jacquainted Jackson former Texas long-home quarterback who went to Utah highly productive runner for Arkansas, but they've That you know patrinos got got got them moving the ball tailing green Of course Boise State quarterback transfer who is a little bit erratic a little bit inconsistent We'll turn the ball over, but he's also talented and can run so he's you know He's gonna the defense is gonna have to be on the same page like we've seen they're just gonna have to play to that same level and you know They've got they've got good receivers to that's it's gonna be a fun test. I'm looking forward to this game I haven't scouted the I haven't scouted the Arkansas interior run defense But Texas proved against Vanderbilt that they are very good at keeping the ball contained in the box Yeah, they're not gonna let tail and green run wild in the perimeter This is just pk doesn't allow that. That's like a starting point for him. Don't let that happen and Tried to mirror that with my flag football strategies, but Got a little get a little bit away from us in the last game. No, was that a personnel issue or what do you think? No? No Didn't blame the kids last time exactly. I'm not gonna blame them again. Okay. I'm gonna catch you doing that We we did not have that team scout it I'll tell you that I want to hear one from our last sponsor for tonight And then we're gonna talk get back to this the superchats because there's some really good questions in here I'm just gonna say guys You probably need a fiduciary financial advisor and I've got the guy for you. His name is David McClellan with forum Financial he works broadly and deeply with his clients as a financial life coach And he should know something about coaches and because he won several national championships as a swimmer for the University of Texas He specializes in financial planning and has contributed numerous articles to Kipling on the topic of retirement tax bombs So contact David today to be your fiduciary financial planner and schedule a one-hour Consultation to assess your financial situations. The free consultation is available. So just give him a call The number is 312-933-8823. That's 312-933-8823. His email is also in the description below This is You'll have to do all those commercials. I keep expecting you to end with a so easy a caveman can do it Wow, okay. All right. Well, not I get it. It's a this is shot at my looks. I understand. Thank you for that Let's just get to the Super Chat. Sowy Ian. All right, thank you Brett you shook me Brett Nelson is asking how are we feeling about A&M in a few weeks? So we are in the home stretch. We've got three games left. That's it It sounds like a lot, but we are it's gonna go by very very fast Obviously, we have a very hard test our last two of three games are on the road In as Drew has pointed out hostile environments So what are our thoughts on this? We'll start with you Eric. I know this is we're getting a little cart in front of the horse here But what are your thoughts? Yeah, I'm definitely focused on Arkansas But you know, it's we don't have to play the game. We can look ahead You know, I don't see freshmen running on a quarterback beating Texas putting enough points on the board to beat Texas I just have a trouble trouble seeing that. I don't think he's as refined in the passing game is only to be to To lead his team to victory But there's a lot of other variables in that context the crowd's gonna be crazy You know, you sometimes you'll see a team You know if Quinn doesn't take care of the ball early He's had trouble with that normally his picks happen early when they do do occur And you know, there's gonna be momentum swings probably if that occurs So it's gonna be I think it's gonna be a tough hard fought game I don't think Texas is gonna blow them out the last time we saw and in play they got handled Relatively easy easily but not in a way that Texas can replicate necessarily You know, they're gonna blitz the crap out of Texas. You know, Texas is gonna have to be sound up front including the running backs Including Gunner home But I you know, Texas just has the the town advantage the depth advantage They've got continuity advantage for years in the same systems. Where as opposed, you know, this is year one for Elko They've got the experience at quarterback. I like Texas, Texas will be favored in that game But it's it's it's a loseable game just for the you know, the external factors of you know that crowd is gonna be bonkers And they'll be into it You know, I saw that that that crowd. I think that crowd does live up to the hype, you know that reference the What was that 2021 where they beat Alabama at Kyle field that was uh, they beat the beat Alabama with Zack Zack, Calzada at quarterback Who I think is that incarnate word right now. So yeah, I'm not ruling out the Aggies, but you know the advantages point towards Texas Let's let's jump over to our If I don't know if we want to have any comedy today, but I would like to hear Ian's thoughts on the Oklahoma's sooner performance this week And what the next three years may look like presumably for them in the floor is yours. I Actually watched a good deal of that game Because I knew or I could tell early on that LSU was not up for it against Alabama They were just getting shoved around so had an excuse to flip over to the game. I really wanted to watch And it was it just was a tremendous game very satisfying I don't know who all saw it Extremely entertaining. It was close enough to make you wonder the whole time. It's like it was like a it's like a Really well-done Marvel movie like you know the good guys are gonna win But the way it got there there were some twists and turns that just Had you guessing made you feel a little bit for a moment and then it was just the big satisfying conclusion And the promise was more to come also the teaser at the end. You know, there's more weapons to be administered, Oklahoma It sounds like they are gonna stay with Brent Venables for next year at least and I think That is going to make for a very difficult Transition back to greatness for them To me, I don't think I don't see how you can believe that this is the right guy for them They just look so disorganized They make terrible mistakes. You keep hearing like well, you know He made a really bad offensive coordinator higher and they just have to get over that problem For one, that's a pretty big mistake to make as a head coach for another Just how did he not see for the full year how bad this was gonna be, you know It does doesn't seem like he's he's got a good top of the program Mindset and skill set well look look no further than who starting quarterback is And look at Oregon's is That's a fair point. Yeah The official story that he gave was that they had no idea. There was even a chance Gabriel could be back When you okay, that's that's a hundred percent mishandled All right, yeah, it's just not come up in conversation like obviously they were all in on Jackson Arnold and moving on Arnold right They made a massive tactical air they probably thought it was they probably knew it was gonna be a bit of a rebuilding year They knew that because they're gonna lose the offensive line and they said all right Let's rip the Band-Aid off this year, but You know Dylan could have kept the Band-Aid on and they might have had a chance of going 8 and 4 if they would have kept And they've already had they also had a lot of injury issues at wide receivers. Well, it didn't help but Yeah, I don't know so Ian What do you think they should hire as offensive coordinator? Maybe not a name But what sort of style that would fit their personnel or maybe can bring Jackson Arnold around at least make him serviceable next year well, I think they they usually default to an air raid guy and I actually think they should do that because I think if you throw in the towel on Bill Beatenbow Now you might as well just fire vinnables too, right? So and Beatenbow has worked with air raid guy Lincoln Riley I want to say Dana Holger Center the guy before that for a little bit West Virginia I would want to get an air raid guy Ideally one that could bring in a transfer quarterback and some wide receivers keep Beatenbow try to keep Fazuzi if they can and I think that gives them vinnables his best shot at like a Good enough record to survive Which is almost what you want as a Texas fan You almost want vinnables to show just enough life next year. Yeah to keep this thing rolling for three years of mid Well, who would be the best Head coach hire if if they did, I mean, it's not gonna happen, but let's say they were in the market this year That's that's kind of always a consideration too. What what does the market have? You know Matt Campbell. I mean would he he might leave Ames for Norm Norman. I would think the word Climbing obviously I feel like those are both unsexy hires that don't It wouldn't feel like they're hiring their next national championship coach and maybe they wouldn't be but at least you get like grounded in Something solid for a while. Yeah, and those guys can punch above their weight Which Oklahoma needs to realize that they need somebody who can punch above the recruiting weight? Because the days of being far and away the most talented team and their conference are long over. That's never coming back, right? You hate to see it LC I know it's I I think you handled that with a lot of restraint and I appreciate that You know, all I caught in that game was the last minute and you know, it seems like I had pretty good timing. Oh So when I talk about chaos that to me is fantastic I mean that was just I I turned over for the many of the same reasons that Ian did and That was just an absolute cluster cuss. It was fantastic. I enjoyed every second of that Well, I like seeing LSU get work, too. You know, since we join on three. We've been treated to some quite the cast of characters at both sooner scoop and The 24th on three LSU site, I'm sure it has a name So yeah, I that took great glee in that night. It was a great day. Yeah, I mean I think It's really I was a coach and I were talking about this mill row is just at least for me He's a really easy kid to root for I I'm really especially that that game You know, he worked LSU like a summer internship and that was he's a great kid or you know, he's a full grown man No, he's a great dude What are so moving? Oh, yeah, let's not forget about that Miami's out. So this is you know, obviously as Sarc pointed out today We we kind of hold our destiny in our hands here a little bit We've we've got to if we went out. We have a very good chance of being into the in the SEC championship with a lot of a lot of two lost teams currently obviously because we do not play every team and league that is going to Create some some issues with this but Texas wins out there. They're controlling their own destiny there a little bit But I'm I'm curious moving forward if you had to see if you had to guess right now Drew I'll put I'll have you start, but I'd love to hear from all three of you or y'all three of you If you had a guess right now, who are the two teams in the SEC championship game? I Mean Texas run I mean, I haven't looked at the tie-breakers or who who does what so I can't tell you who should be too, but the Texas And if you just asked me who I thought was the other best team or the second best team in the league right now I'd say it's Ole Miss now Are they set up to get there? I'm not sure. I think Bama has a Tennessee Tennessee Tennessee Tennessee has to get past Georgia And then you have to imagine that Kirby Smart is gonna lose two games in a row Which doesn't seem likely but did you see him throw that player into the bus today? He went harder on that player that was celebrating with friends after the game, which you know, you're not supposed to do that Then he did on these guys that are racking up, you know, criminal driving charges and stuff. I Thought wonder about Georgia long-term, but that's hard for me to see them losing two in a row and one at home I just don't know if Tennessee. I don't know if Niko's healthy or but I know the Tennessee defense the way they play they should have They should have a good night. So that'll give them a shot regardless I mean the you have to say at least the way I feel about this coach and I were talking about this again on Sunday like the Sark Kiffin bowl Would really make me happy. I'm not saying we match up great against them But the that would be a that would bring me a lot of joy. What what are your thoughts here Ian? I'm just trying to pull up all their schedules because that's always the thing, right? Yeah, Alabama's gonna win out But they have two losses. I don't I'm agreeing. I think with Homer That Georgia is gonna beat Tennessee But I don't feel Super confident about that Tennessee is they are vulnerable at quarterback. I don't I didn't see what happened in Niko. I saw that he left the game So I I don't know if that that's probably a low scoring game and It's does Carson met back make a few big throws like you made in DKR Or does he make a few big interceptions like you did in DKR? I'm not so I'm not sure Man, I think Texas will make it in and I think Oh miss out of the cakewalk. Yeah, I think old I'm a grandma with Drew. I think old miss might be the Might be the best team in the league or one of the top two teams in the league It's weird that they have managed to find ways to lose games But their path, I don't know what it seems like their tiebreaker scenario can't be that great Yeah, we need to look at the tiebreakers. There's a thread on it about it I'm gonna see what they're saying. I'm all did a really good job of breaking those down. They are they are not They're not as straightforward as you might hope them to be Because it's so imbalanced and yeah, and you're gonna have like, you know several eight and two teams It's very conceivable So I can't make it in how it's set up if Tennessee or Bama went out Okay, so Bama Lord's work I will take Tennessee or Bama then as the other team and Wow, I really want to say I really want to pick Tennessee to Lose to Georgia, but I just don't I just don't know if Georgia can pull that off Because they just seem Broken Yeah, Alabama's got a cakewalk Mercer Oh you and Auburn. I mean Auburn Auburn played a very close last year. They could have lost that game of almost mr playoffs, so I shouldn't say cakewalk, but man Auburn can't score Yeah, none of those three teams will score on Alabama No Should we talk about oh you finish? Yeah, yeah, let's that this is this is what we talked about preseason and how brutal This fire run is for oh you Yeah, well, we just lost the Missouri, which was part of it They lost to Ole Miss, which was part of the they had Maine they played hockey and then Alabama on the 23rd and LSU on the 30th, so LSU in Baton Rouge, right? Yeah They get Alabama at home, which is the better you'd rather have Alabama going there so that means they're gonna be They're gonna be five and six with both eligibility and both practices on the line And they have to get out of Baton Rouge with the win. Yeah now I I almost think they could beat LSU like it on one off Like they beat Auburn somehow they could maybe put together LSU is I don't know what's wrong with them I mean their defensive line is not good, but they got some other issues too But I just can't see them beating in bet beating them in Baton Rouge in the last game of the year After Kelly's been just on his team all week, so Gonna miss the ball game That's too bad. That's really I think we want Tennessee to beat Georgia. I you know, I guess I don't care if they play Alabama Alabama was probably the second best team in the SEC right now where Maybe as good as Texas, Georgia's You got it. We got to throw that Georgia game out. That's what I mean. Yeah, they beat Texas They kick Texas's butt fair and square, but that just is not indicative of who Georgia has been this year for Texas for Texas, right? Yeah The only thing that oh you would benefit from not being bow eligible is the same thing Sark benefited his first year You know five and seven and you get to just go focus on recruiting Yeah, yeah, I mean, yeah, a lot of time selling your story as opposed to preparing for games Now it's different for First Sark because that was Sarks first year. He knew his staff was staying together, but oh you Who knows? I mean they we got it. I mean, we know they're gonna have to find an OC. So Maybe They'll get a head start. I mean, I wish they could win one of these games so they can be distracted while they're trying to sort Through all this, but it sounds like everyone's schedules are wide open Yeah, yeah, it's great Figure some stuff out. Yeah They're gonna have to hit the portal heart. Yeah Well, I uh I want to again throw this out there.
