Consistent, regular income. That’s the goal for our businesses, isn’t it?

Especially for those of us used to a regular, making the leap into working for yourself is a brave jump. And sure, we can hold on to that uncertainty for a while, but ultimately we would like to find an island of safety.

The island of consistent revenue.

The best way to create a reality is to shift into it and hold the vibration long enough within us so that we can soon see it as a reality.

But what if we don’t know exactly what that vibration feels like?

With this in mind, I wanted to really understand what the energy feels like, how we can connect to it, and what it has to say to us.

I really love today’s pod episode, and I feel it will be super supportive in your business.

Come ready with a notebook, because I’m sure you’ll receive your downloads.

(upbeat music) - Hello and welcome to "Soul Lead Living," a podcast dedicated to helping you live your soul's true path so you can create the dream life you know you're meant to live. I'm Nicki Novo, your spiritual mentor, a fiery Latina, mom of three, and an advocate for living soul lead. You're here because you're meant to be here, so let's do this. Hello my friends, welcome to another episode of "Soul Lead Living," business edition. Today we are talking about the holy grail of working for yourself, which is the energy of consistent regular income, right? When you work for yourself, that's what I feel like you're looking for at some point, or might be the beginning of the journey for you that you're trying to get there, but also I think that in business in general, like when you're trying to increase, right? I've been in business for, I think, I wanna say over 12 years, I'm not really sure. I feel like I started when I was 30, but even increasing those numbers, like, okay, at first it's like I'm looking forward to making 5,000 a month, 10,000 a month, and there's this constant shift into, you know, increasing that income or that profit, or just, you know, whatever, not even the profit, but just like bringing in more income. And I think it's important to know how we shift into there. I personally shifted into like my first big consistent run was when I first hit $20,000 a month, and I was consistent with that forever. Like almost like I never went back, and that was like such an exciting thing for me. And I remember like starting out and only making $2,000 a month and all that. So I remember that big shift from like $7,000 a month to 20. Like I just like made this leap. Amanda Francis, if you guys follow her or listen or read her book, she's like a money manifesting teacher, and she calls them energetic minimums, which I think is like such a great way to say it. And it's really like getting to that place where you like expect the $20,000. And I remember like getting, that was like a really big manifesting moment for me because it was truly something I manifested. Like I was, yeah, making the, you know, $7,000 which was great, like that was like a study, but I was very much a practitioner and I wanted to know how to like leap. And that leap was very important because that leap like allowed my family to completely transform and be able to move here and get Benny to like close up his business and all that. So I needed to like kind of go from practitioner, I guess, to like true, you know, entrepreneur or business owner where there was like money being made in other ways than just like these one-on-one readings that I was doing. And I manifested it, like I would sit every night while I was putting the kids to sleep, you know? And I still do this because like, you know, I still sit with the kids while they fall asleep. Who knows how long they'll make me do that. But as I'm doing that, I just kind of like shift into feeling what it would feel like to have, you know, the $20,000. And I was working on that for a few months and really trying to like hold that vibration. I had no idea where that money was gonna come from. And I was pretty like open. I wanted it to come through my business, but I was open to how it would come to me. And man, like it worked. I remember calling one of my best friends, Gatto. And she like, she remembers it too, like coming over and being like, you're not gonna believe this. Like I made $20,000 this month. Yeah, it was such a big deal. And I kind of just like set that energetic minimum. And I think that is the definition of consistent regular income and started from the bottom now I'm here guys. So I like truly believe in this. Obviously we've got to put in the work, we got to work on our talent, all that kind of stuff. But I think that there's a place where you can get to that consistent regular income and you can increase it when you want to. I'm always trying to increase that regular income, right? So I might have a regular income, let's say the 20, but let's say I want to get to the 40. It's not really regular income because maybe I'm not in the 40 and that's like really what I want, right? So I'm constantly using these practices. So today I wanted to just tap into like, what does that feel like? What is the energy of it? I call it the energy 'cause I feel like we need to kind of understand how it feels to be able to get there. But I think there's messages here as well. So I want you to hold in your heart, in your mind's eye. I see so many of you manifesting. Like I was closing my eyes and I was like, whoa, everybody is using their third eye. Like your third eyes are really lit up, which is exciting. I think that's how you manifested this episode. And I think you're dreaming and you're visualizing and you're imagining a better way of making regular income. So I felt like there was also this feeling that some of you are leaving a way of making regular income and moving into another way. So it might even be like, I'm leaving a job to start my business or I used to make regular income. Like in this season now I'm in another season of life and I need to make regular income in this season but it's totally different. It almost looks like some of you are manifesting a way of making that regular income but with ease and like where there's not as much of a hustle where it really works around your schedule. So it looks like you're not necessarily a stranger to regular income. You're just trying to do it better this time in many ways. So I see it. (laughs) Yeah, I want you to hold in your heart perhaps either the number that you're thinking of if there is a number or even like kind of what it looks like. I want you to hold in your minds I also like the way in which you would like it to be done so that you can really start to hear the messages that are truly for you because we have seven messages today but some of them might not all be for you but kind of just set the intention of what this means to you so that you can hear what is for you. So as I was starting to like meditate and feel into this one, like I said, I saw so many of you with your little red I mean sorry, your little purple, third eyes, open, ready to go. Maybe I said red because red is the root and that's money and how we're like starting to feel comfortable and secure. But I saw like you like really visioning this but I would say that I feel like the action you're doing might not be it. Like I feel like the action is a bit wrong or that there is a lack of action. I feel like you understand manifesting and you're working with it but there's this feeling that you're gonna attract it that it's gonna show up. That like, you know, like it'll come kind of out of nowhere which I think there's a time and a place for those kind of manifestations for sure. Like for sure, for sure. I'm not saying like don't believe in that but when I'm getting about this manifestation of regular consistent income, it feels to me that it's a new tide. So what that means is that the universe is giving you things through one tide. Like there's a door that's open and the things that you're manifesting are coming through like that door, through that vessel. And it makes me feel like where you're going is a totally different door and a different stream. So because it's a different stream and because it's not really like gonna come from the stream that is currently open, it does require some action to build the momentum in this new stream. So that is why there's like more action needed in this one than other manifestations. For example, I did an awesome manifestation recently. I think it was like six months ago or something my laptop was dying. And I was like, oh man, I need a new laptop and whatever, I was open to buying it but I kept being like, oh, this laptop's gonna die. I need a new one. I was even talking to some friends who had bought the new, I'm a Mac girl. So I was like asking about the new MacBook Air. Like if I could have that because I had a MacBook Pro and I was just doing the research, all this stuff. And I was just like, you know, I knew that a MacBook was gonna show up in my life. Like I just knew either I was gonna purchase it or I could already see it. Like I could see that I was gonna have a new MacBook. And lo and behold you guys, Apple reaches out to me. I don't know where saying that they're like working with Latina creators and you know, they want to start to get buzzed out about their new MacBook Airs and that they were gonna gift me one. I was like, what? It was the best experience ever. So yes, I have my MacBook Air and I would say I run my entire podcast on it which, so with the MacBook Pro, I needed all the space because I do so many heavy videos, so many heavy podcast episodes, all that kind of stuff. And I was thinking like, oh, I have to buy the Pro again but I did not. I am totally fine with their new MacBook Air because it is so good. So anyways, that was my recent manifestation. And the reason that I didn't have to like shift anything really because I had like some doors open in my current business and in the current way that I receive that that MacBook was able to come in through that door. But I feel like this new consistent regular income is gonna come through a regular stream. It's like going to be done differently. It is a new lifestyle, it's a new season. It's a new way of doing it, a new way of making money. And for that reason, there is going to be action and there's an emphasis on action and inspired action. Not a push, we're gonna talk about that, but action. So let's get into these seven messages about bringing in consistent regular income. All right, message number one. I'm really feeling like you're pitching. You are pitching a proposal, a package, and it feels like it's like almost like B2B. Like you're going to a hotel, you're going to a restaurant. Like you are brokering some sort of deal or deals between like your business and another business. So there's a B2B thing here. And it just reminds me of like, I have a good friend that owns a chain of bakeries in Miami, Cuban bakeries are delicious, cow bakery if you guys go. And she has a few like big accounts. Like one of them is like at a hospital. She provides for like, you know, different schools, things like that, right? And they can count on that. Like they're counting on these, you know, accounts. And obviously like you don't put all your eggs in one basket 'cause you can lose an account every once in a while, but it looks like, I'm feeling that some of this consistent regular income comes from these like accounts, these like retainers, but they come from a pitching. And my sense is that you are going to pitch and it's not always going to work. So like one thing here is that I definitely see you getting some nose. You're not gonna get like all yeses, but you're still meant to pitch. I'm also going to kind of share some of the blocks. Like within each of these messages, I can see the blocks. And with this block, it's like, if you're not pitching and you're not proposing these like services, these packages, these something, you're not doing anything new. 'Cause it feels like pitching is synonymous with new. And this regular income is a new experience. It's a new reality. It's a new stream. And it comes from new business in many ways. You can use the word pitching in other ways, right? Like I can pitch podcast episodes. I could pitch like people to be on their podcast. I'm not being paid for that, but I am maybe getting new clients from that. I'm pitching myself for like talks or whatever. Like the pitching means newness, if that makes sense. And if there is no newness, like if you are not bringing in like a newness, like these new opportunities basically, it's like consistent income doesn't come with that. Like it's not in alignment with that. So the alignment is the pitching of these proposals, of these packages and a bit of B2B. Number two, this regular income comes from a few solid relationships. A little different than B2B. This felt more like personalities. This felt like influencers is what this felt like for sure. These were partnerships, collaborations. Like almost the two of us are serving each other. Or the other one felt like I'm providing a service for like somebody else and what I get in exchange is money. This feels like you need me, I need you. It reminds me of like my husband, he owned a really big tree business in Miami and had a lot of big contracts. But a lot of those contracts came from like a couple big construction companies that he worked with. Like with a couple big contacts and that was it. But they needed him as much as he needed them. If that makes any sense. So there was like this relationship between the two that they were supporting him of course, but he was also supporting them because like they needed a good person to contract out to. He was a small minority owned business, a woman owned 'cause I was part owner. And they needed that as much as like he needed, you know, the solid contract or whatever. So this is what this feels like to me. Like it's a relationship where both parties are getting something out of it. I would say different than the first message where it's like pitching something new. This feels like you're not pitching this person anything new. I don't know how to explain this. It's almost like you are going to serve a need in this person's business that already exists. Don't try to introduce something that they like don't really need. This is something like almost, I used to have a social media agency and now I need a new social media agency. Not that like I'm looking at what you do. And I think you would super benefit from this completely new AI technology. Like that's not what this is. This feels like I'm replacing or I am filling the need of a void that exists in this person's business already. It's not a new idea. They're businesses in need of this space. Going back to Benny's businesses, like those bigger companies, they need to contract a certain amount of contracts out to minority owned businesses. This is nothing new. Like they have to fill that spot. And that's what this feels like that like you're not really introducing anything new but you're filling a spot. These partners are super important. They look like either they have an influx of business and need to hands some off or they are just like connectors. Like they just know a lot of people. They're in some sort of community. Maybe they have a following and they have a different expertise in you. It feels like so that's why there is a collaboration where it's like maybe I don't do hypnotherapy but I love sending Adriana, my hypnotherapist, people that I know need hypnotherapy. So I kind of need her because I don't do it but I know my clients need it. So it's super important that she's there. So I can pass it on. Referrals, I guess is the word, right? This comes, the shift comes from a few solid relationships. You might already know them and maybe start really paying more attention to them and giving them like some more love. Maybe making some ask, even if it's not time for them to give you like a yes. And then also if you don't have these solid relationships really like looking for those solid relationships and trying to build them. And when I felt about conversations, I was like, there is money, like there is money out there. Like this, I just got this feeling of like, if you don't talk about it or if you don't ask, you're never gonna see how much money there is actually out there. So this felt like there is money out there but it needs to be spoken about. It might even be just like you're talking to your cousin about it, you're talking about your friends. It even just feels like people within your circle. This is not really about networking or people outside of your circle. This feels like using actually the circle that you currently have. Like calling that friend that works in marketing or calling whatever that has this corporate job but picking her brain, asking her questions, telling her what you're doing. I see like conversations, like having to talk about what you're doing in your business, what you're looking for, what you're hoping for. Even like not the problems that you're having but not like, oh, I don't know how I'm gonna do this or not that. It's more just like, man, I would really love for this and this but I have like nowhere to look. I have no idea where to look yet. And you're just kind of like throwing these things out there and it looks like through these conversations, come money. Like there's money, like funding is almost like the way that I was seeing it as well but you're like needing to have these conversations. So a little different than pitching because pitching it feels like, you know exactly what you're pitching and you're like providing a service or a package or something. This seems like I'm just talking about it and it's a type of manifesting. This is actually one of Benny who's an amazing business manifester. This is like his, I think one of his greatest skills. Like he just converses about his work or you know about like kind of what he's working on, what he wants and all of a sudden like all these people come up to support him and just, you know to like make things happen. So it's conversations. Number four, I feel like some of you are gonna know this but consistent regular income is gonna come from safety. And not just any safety, it's this inner safety, this feeling that like I can safely sustain this offer. I can safely sustain the way I make money. I can safely sustain this beast, this rhythm, this way of working. And this is actually a very, it looks like this is a big block for some of you that there is like no abundance coming through because of like holding myself back because it's almost like this feeling like I'm not sure I can keep up the schedule. I'm not sure, you know I can do this with like my schedule or that I can work this hard or that I can work these many hours. So there's this fear that like you won't be able to keep it up and that does not make you feel safe. And since like you don't feel safe, it's like you're not putting it out there. So the answer really is asking yourself truly what can you maintain? And that is gonna work. You know like you don't have to be like, oh well I have to work at seven o'clock at night because I work with like corporate people and they're only available at seven. And you know even though I don't wanna work at seven and I'm super tired, but you are never gonna grow the business knowing that like you're tired at seven like that's not really what you want but thinking that like you have to maintain that it's you're not gonna grow because you're not gonna feel like you can maintain it. And it looks like there's this block about like not like feeling safe enough to be able to sustain the work. So if you're feeling that if this is like whoa yes, this is me a few things. First kind of okay, what is an ideal schedule for me? Like what can I actually maintain? How much can I actually work or how much do I wanna work, right? Being completely honest with myself. This is your business, like you are the boss, like you could create anything. So create something that works for you truly. And then also playing with systems. So is there something in my business? Is there like a workflow that's happening that is too high touch for me that is taking too much of my time? Yes it needs to happen, but am I too involved with some of the workflows or some of the work systems? And they're like slowing me down and yeah, I cannot maintain. For example, I record this podcast by myself, I turn the camera on, I upload the videos, all that stuff. Lately I've been having a huge problem uploading all these videos. And that's probably like the worst part of doing what I do. I have a team that handles everything after that, but silly enough, like currently this stuff that I'm doing myself recording actually holds me back a little bit and we're actually working on the workflow with my team to see how we can remove some of this from me because if I want to keep doing more episodes and doing them with enough time, doing them well, I'm going to feel like, oh no, I can't because look how much time it's taking for me, but it's actually like something in my system. So it's two things like really asking yourself about your schedule, what's possible for you? How do you really want to work? What is the ideal? And are there some systems antiquated in the way that I'm working? Can I make some of them more efficient? Where can I bring in either technology or support so that these systems are more sustainable? So there's like this safety feeling that comes with consistency. Like I feel safe with what I'm doing, I can hold this. It's kind of like, yes, I'm holding up a few balls, but I have the strength for it. I'm not pushing myself to hold them. I'm not also sitting back. It's just a perfect amount of weight for me. It's a perfect setup and I can keep this going. I can keep this going in a way that I'm not going to get exhausted or I set it up in a way that I can actually take some days off and it's a good rhythm for me and I can maintain this. Number five, no surprise here. And this is a weird word, I never use this word, but it feels like very juicy, like a juicy passion. And I think that's part of being able to maintain it. There's like almost like if you would let yourself go to a place of guilty pleasure. Like almost you feel kind of guilty about wanting this thing or wanting it to look this way. Like for example, maybe like a guilty pleasure of mine, let's say with my work would be, oh my God, if I could just show up to a studio, sit down, like record a really beautiful studio with like people that I love, record my pod, the videos, all that in a day and be out, right? Like, I mean, I do do that with my social media and it almost feels like an indulgence, you know, like to have so much taking care of for me, right? It feels like what I really want, right? Like it's like, oh no, like this is truly like what I would love, what I would want. And it looks like your consistent regular income comes from that place, that desire. Like it's almost like a hidden, almost guilty. I feel a little ashamed to mention it this way. I feel a little embarrassed to like say this is what I want or to say this is how I would love for it to go or to say like, I only wanna do this in the business. And I know that that's not always possible, right? Like I still have to get up at my, look at my desk and look at my books and do certain things. But I don't think it's so much like eliminating the things that we don't want. But I feel like it's like really leaning in to what would be ideal, like almost like to the parts that I really love. Like if there's a part in your business that feels like eating a cookie, like, or eating a delicious cake, it's kind of like elevating and expanding that. Like doing more of that looks like that is actually what it feels like to have consistent regular income to actually, because you can sustain it because it's a joy, because it's something you love. It's a setup that like, it's a dream. Like it's a dream setup. So of course you can maintain this. And I guess it's also from a place of high energy, there's just something about being around somebody who's living like that and doing that that ultimately, I guess is like pretty contagious and almost, it looks like from that place you can sell anything. Like it's easy to sell that. I don't know, it's like attracts people, it's kind of the way I see it. Like there's eyeballs because you're in that place. So yeah, like finding what that is, I think you find it, like if nobody would judge you, if you could say and have a setup, like the way you would want it to be set up and you could do what you really wanna do, like in the business end get paid for it. What would be that thing? And how can I do more of that? How can I like stay in that energy a little bit more and try to push the boundaries into like making your setup look like that, if that makes sense? Yeah, it felt yummy. Message number six, this one made a lot of sense to me and it's funny how so much of the energy of consistent regular income comes from a safety and a trust, like an expectation. It's just this place of being able to sit here and not worry and be comfortable. You know, that's really what it feels like. And I know that that's probably, we probably have the opposite of that and that was we're trying to feel that way. And that's why we're like trying to manifest consistent regular income, but this message number six is about trusting in a system. Like it feels like almost the business is in a place that there are some systematic things that work and that I can trust in it. It's like when I do this and then I do this, the outcome is this and it brings this money in. So I have a friend that owns clothing company and she works with a few influencers that are just solid. Like it's just like a solid setup and it's part of her system. Like she always works with like a couple influencers and these influencers bring in a certain amount of income into the business, a certain amount of revenue. And it's like a system that she can trust. Like she feels very comfortable that as long as she keeps doing what she's doing with these influencers, that her business will continue to grow. So it's like a trust in this system. I have some trust in my system too. I'm like, if I continue to do, you know, the podcast interviews that I go on and I continue to send out emails and I do my podcast. Like it brings me a certain amount of people and a certain amount of people purchase and that's just like the system, it works. So there's this expectation. There's this trust in the system and expectation of, of course, when I do this, it brings me this. So you may not have that yet. Like that may not really be like in the setup in the business yet, but it's like the things you actually want to look for. It's like, what are some things that I can do that I'm like, oh, I've done this like two or three times and it always works every time I do that. That needs to become part of the system. Or even if you look at how money comes in to the company, what are the steps that make the system difficult or that like don't make it work? And then also in this message is expectation. So this is the part that I was telling you that I would, I sit at night, I still do this and I sit when I'm putting the kids to sleep and I'm just like sitting in the expectation of whatever money or consistent income I'm hoping my business comes into. So I go into my business, I wake up, I go to my office and of course it works this way. Of course this amount of money comes in. I expect for this to come in. I expect for these opportunities to come in. I'm not surprised that I get this opportunity. I'm not surprised that this kind of money comes in. So it's an expectation, it's an energy that I sit in because there's some sort of system and it doesn't even have to be like an actual system in the business. It could also be like when I do these three things in my manifestation process, it always pans and I always get this outcome. So it could also even be something like energetic, something within you. It doesn't have to be like a physical system within the company, but finding those systems and trusting in the systems. Like something that you can lean on, something that you can trust in and seeing how much I can multiply that, how more efficient can I make that, how can I trust in it more? How can I hold that vibration of trust and expectation in my body longer? And what are the practices that do that? So for me, I know if I just like put my kids asleep and just hold that vibration at night that you know, whatever I'm working on manifestation wise, I just know it's gonna work. And I know I have to put my kids asleep every night and I know I'm gonna sit with them. So I can trust in that system. So trusting in the system. Lastly, message number seven is I allow myself to be seen, I allow myself to be known. I actually felt right away when I was closing my eyes on this one, I saw my husband wearing a hat with a logo on it. He loves to have everything logoed. Like his last business, it was like everything needed to be logoed, his hat, his shirt. He's one of those kids that like, you know, when you go to college and like some of those college kids, like all they do is like wear their schools, logos or the names or like that's the only clothes they wear, that's totally Benny. Like if Benny could live in a uniform, like he loves it. He loves other people's logos too. Like he wears his friends, logos and stuff like that. But I was getting this because it's just like, it's out there, right? It's like the guy who like wraps his car with the logo of his company. And that might seem silly, right? Or it might seem cheesy or whatever. But no, like it's like this type of branding that it's super available or like that realtor that always wears the shirt or the pin that says their name and like kind of what, you know, realty company they work for. So it feels like it's out there. Like it is very much out there. So maybe I'm like walking around wearing a T-shirt that says soul-led living. So that when I talk to people they maybe they ask me about it and I'm like, oh yeah, I have this podcast. You should listen to it. Like it feels like it's out there and it might be connected to the branding as well. Like a very, like using your branding and being almost like cheesy about it, you know? Like how much branded it is in order to like let people know you are completely available. This really felt I'm open for business. I'm completely available to opportunities and I can trust myself. And I think that you can't really get into the energy of number seven if we don't get into that, if we don't deal with like the sustainability of, can I handle this? Can I hold this? Can I maintain this? I feel like number seven would be hard to get to if we're, if we don't address the sustainability because number seven is really like this last message is really like I can handle more than enough. I can handle more than enough offers. I can handle more than enough people that like want to work with me because I'm strong enough to say yes and I'm strong enough to say no. Like I can trust in myself to have boundaries and be like, oh no, that doesn't work for my schedule. That does work for my schedule. And know that like nobody's going to get mad at me. Then nothing's going to fall apart. I don't have to say yes to everything. And when I have that safety within myself, then I am open to an abundance of business. So I feel like it's funny. I know that we're talking about the energy of the consistent regular income, but I was really getting a lot of the blocks. Like, and that is the block like almost like not being able to hold more than you think you can. And you need to know that like you're strong enough and that you'll handle it when it comes. And knowing that yes, when an influx comes, you are going to make a ton of mistakes. It's happened to me. It's happened to me in my own business, me with Benny's business. It is natural, but I wouldn't not want the influx just because I need it to be perfect. So this feels like if you allow yourself and know that you are going to make mistakes, then I can feel like a wave come through like a real like abundance and a consistency come through. But it's not if you're holding yourself back. You know, not if you're not trusting yourself, not if you have like expectations for yourself to be perfect, then I feel like this cannot come through because this is messy and it has a life of its own. Like the way that it comes and it flows. It's not controlled, I guess, if that is like the word. So measures to me, number seven is like, I'm kind of existing everywhere being very available, being very open to business. And just because I'm available doesn't mean I say yes to everything. And that even reminds me of like dating, you know? Like sometimes we're like afraid of like all these people coming at us and it's like, we don't have to be afraid of all these options if we know how to say no. And we know what we're really looking for. And we know what we are really available for, what we're able to handle, what we're able to hold. So it's kind of like this idea of like universe like bring it all to me and I'm strong enough to decipher. I'm strong enough to use my intuition to know like what's for me, what's not. I know my values, I know my boundaries. So therefore you can bring me a ton and I'll know what to do with it. And that's it. That's what I got guys. I hope this was helpful. I cannot wait for you to shift into that just as a little practice. I love the everyday practice of holding the vibration. Like I said, that little thing that I do at night, but you can do it in the morning. And the whole idea is to like stay in the energy of consistent regular income and getting your body comfortable with it. So introducing to it like holding it for five minutes every day and then seeing if you can increase it and ultimately it becomes more the default. And today's messages were really giving you some ideas of what it actually feels like to have that consistent regular income. And I think the big message I got was safety, sustainability. Strong, I can hold this. I'm a big cup. I can hold all this. So maybe practicing that energy every day for the next few months and see what comes of it. All right, my friends, I hope that was helpful. I love you so much. And I will see you in the next episode. Oh, and please share this with a friend. Thank you.
