This is not nom, this is bowling, they're a rule. (laughing) - Hey Junior, America! (upbeat music) - Stake. - Oh, fastest! - So stand by! (upbeat music) - All right everybody, welcome back to the "Stake for Breakfast" podcast. If you're a first time listener over on the show, if you're a long time listener, welcome back to America's fastest growing. And quickly becoming favorite political podcast. On a busy news Friday, I'm here, and I'm Roan. I've got Noah with me as well, Noah. - Yo. - Hey. - Let's go. - Before you get into let's going, if you're hearing this episode for the first time, don't worry, we'll see you in a bit. Press pause and go check out episode 490. It featured our Stake's exclusive interview with incoming borders are Tom Holman. You're welcome. And the return of Arizona Congressman, Mr. America First Himself, Eli Crane. We talked about Donald Trump's selection of Pete Higgseth as the defense secretary incoming for the Trump administration, as well as the formation of the Doge Agency, and what that means for America. In addition, Donald Trump's illustrious return to Washington, D.C., and what at least optically that means for America, organizationally, what it means for the Trump admin, and all things encircling that. Don't worry, we're not missing a beat with this episode as well, we're gonna continue to talk about Donald Trump's cabinet selections and agency head nominations moving forward. Tulsi Gabbert, Matt Gates, R.F.K. Jr., just to name a few. In addition to that, we'll be catching up at the end of this segment with Minnesota Congressman Tom Tiffany. We'll round out the show today talking about South Dakota Senator John Thune's ascension to Senate Majority Leader, what it means for the party and for the upcoming Trump administration and their legislative agenda. In addition to that, we'll round out today's show with a man that's never shy to wear a maggot tie up to Capitol Hill and that's Texas Representative Troy now. So let's jump right into this here. Tulsi Gabbert, tapped to be the director of national intelligence. Noah, the mainstream media is already making up all the stories of her sympathy towards countries like Russia, the fact that she was a Democrat and campaigned against a lot of the stuff administratively that Donald Trump wants to get done throughout the course of his administration, especially in regards to national intelligence. But here's the deal. In the time when we've seen so much transition, Tulsi Gabbert has made a complete 180 turn. She's left the party, she's accepted the fact that she's become a Republican and she was critical. In the 2024 presidential election cycle, running alongside Donald Trump, not just out on the campaign trail with him, but doing virtual events, town halls with other guests, et cetera, leading up to the massive and historic victory that Donald Trump came to realize last Tuesday night. Now, we've been hyper critical of Tulsi Gabbert. During a Senate confirmation, one of the biggest things that we said will never be able to escape her and that's her legislative voting record as a Democrat. But here's the deal. I've talked to a lot of people directly associated with the Trump campaign, especially some who were very close friends to Tulsi Gabbert. And when they talk about the turn and transformation that she's gone through over the course of the last couple of years, especially the last six months, they feel very confident that she is ready to roll for Team Trump come January of next year. What do you think about her nomination? What it means for the national intelligence apparatus? And just overall, what are your feelings on Tulsi Gabbert heading into being a critical component of the next Trump administration? - I mean, I was actually really surprised that her politics were what her politics were initially, just in general, just coming from the military, somebody that served in conflict and all that other stuff. And I feel like this is more of her showing her true face. Like maybe whatever the motivations were for her to be the way she was, I feel like this is her coming into herself. - I mean, this is someone who ran for president as a Democrat in 2020 and then once out of the race endorsed Bernie Sanders, and now is 100% America first, where we must go in with the cautious eye. I think when you talk about how Donald Trump's ability to be able to personally vet these people has changed. And I think when you're talking about the people that are ensuring him that she's going to be way more productive than she will be counterproductive, I think has risen greatly as well. - You know, the best part about these picks. And again, if people are just trying to make like pot shot jokes about them, for instance, in our first episode when we talked about Pete Headset, 20 year, decorated vet, two bronze stars, Princeton and Harvard degree holder, the guy did about half a decade of like really consequential work for veterans advocacy before getting into broadcasting. If all they've got against him is broadcasting, then you know, it's okay. But when they really come out and talk about threats democracy and compromising national security, as we're gonna hear with a couple of these picks in this segment here, starting off with Tulsi, then you know it's the right pick for the job because she's gonna go in there and fire every single person that's not working for America, and then get those agencies doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing, and what they haven't done for 12 out of the last 16 years. Best example that I saw yesterday was of course on MSDNC contributor there, one of the proprietors of the Russiade Investigation, John Brennan, former CIA director, was saying just that, let's listen. - Dr. Brennan, your thoughts about Tulsi Gabbard? - Well, Nicole, I think you and Tom Nichols have done a great job just underscoring all the concerns that people have about this appointment. Clearly, Tulsi Gabbard has taken actions and made statements over the past several years that really raised serious questions about her common sense, her judgment, as well as her political sympathies, cozying up to Putin as well as to meeting with the Bashar Assad. I think it really does show that she doesn't have the type of perspective that is needed for somebody who's going to head up these 18 thousands agencies. And as Tom Nichols said, she doesn't have any qualifications. The Director of National Intelligence, that's a really serious position and a very complex and complicated one that requires somebody who actually has an understanding of the intelligence community. It's like an orchestra conductor of all the different agencies and departments that are involved in the intelligence process. And I don't think she understands even the instruments that are involved in this orchestra, nor has she had any experience at the strategic level of running and leading a large complex organization. And the Director of National Intelligence is, according to legislation, the president's principal intelligence advisor, the person who is responsible for making sure that the president's daily brief is put together in a very sound and forthright manner. The person who puts together the budget and the priorities of the intelligence community. So I know that this appointment is sending shockwaves here in the United States, but also around the globe in terms of, is this really somebody who Donald Trump is going to entrust with the care and the leadership of the intelligence community an unserious pick for a serious position? I'm just so tired of all these fucking people and pundits or whatever you want to call them. It's literally like if you were going to find somebody like this who has an ability to speak and just fucking rattle off bullshit and you could like pull them aside in a mall. Like, well, they're walking around shopping at their family and be like, all right, we're having a little game show right now. You're just going to talk shit about this person and invalidate them. Just this person here, his name's Charles, go, go. And he's like, well, you know, Charles, you know, obviously he doesn't have the upper body strength in order to carry all these bags for his family. And he's, you know, it just seems like he's, did you notice that when that girl walked by, he just looked at her ass and I mean, yes, it was a nice ass, but I mean, come on, blah, blah, blah, blah. If they just rattle off all this fucking horseshit. And that's, that is what's probably the problem with our media right now. It's just, it's just people that are just, this is my team, this is the side that I'm on. I'm just going to make up all these fallacies about these people and try to just disrupt their ability to be successful just by leading all these mouth breathing idiots that are just holding on to his fucking every word. - You know, shortly after Tulsi Gabbard came out for President Trump in this past election cycle that she was added to a list by some of the security agencies for a little bit. - Yeah, she got on the fucking like no fly list basically, right? - A little bit of extra scrutiny at the airports, if you know what I mean. You know what it sounds like, no, this is a clear cut case of. - I think the TSA guys just wanted to check, you know. - Hey, just check her out. - Exactly, they hate us because they ain't us. - Oh man, yeah, I think we're there. But sticking in the same thread and lowering the IQ quite several bars here. Former bartender from the great state of New York, believe it or not, graduate from the University of Boston that just tells how bad the institutions fundamentally have flushed their standards in the toilets over the years and current congresswoman from the Empire State, Andrea Ocasio, Sandy Cortez. Jumped on MSDNC later that evening to not only heavily scrutinize Tulsi's pick to head the Department of National Intelligence, but begin taking shots at, I believe, Matt Gaetz as well, a tear. - And we have gotten to Tulsi Gabbard potentially having access to national security information and Russia loves it, loves her. - And I actually think almost more than Matt Gaetz, Tulsi Gabbard's appointment is devastating. And Tulsi Gabbard's nomination, as much as she says that she's an anti-war person, she's not, she supports very pro-war individuals. - Including in Syria. - And let's be very clear. Tulsi Gabbard nomination is a pro-war nomination globally. Point blank period. - As is Donald Trump as president of the United States. Listen, they bring out all the best ones. Like I said, you're gonna see the most pushback on the agency heads and cabinet members that they know are going to make a real difference instead of just being picks that are gonna go in there and kind of go with the flow. I think Donald Trump probably said it best himself. - Up, silly, get up, silly woman. - When it comes into, AOC has always been one of the people that over the years he's targeted and he's always called, he's called her a beaut and he's called her a real smart one over the years. And it's just one of those things you have to understand here. Some of the picks that look like they're going to be easily thrown in to the Senate and confirmed are ones that Democrats are gonna be going after as well. And you have to take a look at, so again, when you talk about just standard Senate confirmation, here's the tale of the tape. There are 20 Republican senators who voted yes on Merrick Garland and Alejandro Mayorkas. Nine are up for reelection in the upcoming midterm elections. I go, that's in 2026. Five are up in 2028 and six are no longer going to be there. They're leaving now or announcing at the end of their term, some in 2026 or some in 2028, they'll be leaving Congress. Here's the list. 2026 class, capitol, Cassidy, Collins, Cornyn, Ernst, Graham, Langford, Rounds and Tillis. Again, these are people that confirmed on the Republican side, Merrick Garland and Alejandro Mayorkas. The class of 2028, Chuck Grassley, if he makes it, Johnson, Moran, Murkowski and Thune. And then you have who's gonna be retiring, retired or leaving, I guess in 2026, that'll be Mitch McConnell. The rest of the class is Blunt Burr in O'Fray, Portman and Romney. So people who are gonna have input on these confirmations, and again, Donald Trump's got a three-way path to get these people into his administration. Traditional confirmation with Senate hearings, recess appointment, which is a little bit of streamline, or if it just looks like that the Senate is going to fail him, and even though we have a 53-seat majority, 54, with JD Vance once he becomes the vice president, he can just acting a point, these people to be the Attorney General of the United States, the Director of the CIA, et cetera, and they will operate in the same context that people like Matt Whitaker did during a portion of Donald Trump's last term in office. So that's who you have to look at. And again, by the time we get to the end of this segment, you'll see how some of the most America-first senators are looking at Senate confirmations and what they say they're gonna do to help out. President Trump and these confirmations get through first time around. But Elizabeth Warren, Ms. Pocahontas herself, decided to weigh in on people like Matt Gates and Tulsi Gabbard wanted to play the clip from her. Let's hear it. I disagree with Marco Rubio on, and I haven't decided yet about voting for him, but he is qualified. He has experience. We may have differences that would cause me to say, I don't think that he should be Secretary of State, and we'll go through that, we'll listen to the hearings, I wanna hear very carefully from him. But what we're talking about with people like Matt Gates is very different from what we're talking about with people like Marco Rubio, and we just have to keep that in mind. But do understand with Matt Gates, and you've already made this point, he's not the only one out there who is unqualified and who raises whole questions like Tulsi Gabbard does. You really want her to have all of the secrets of the United States and our defense intelligence agencies. When she has so clearly been in Putin's pocket, that just has to be a hard no. - You're a nasty person. - That's literally... - Quantum retardery. - Being in Putin's pocket is the new year racist for disagreeing with me. - Yep, yep. And again, Tulsi Gabbard who was a party darling as recently back as 2020, if she wouldn't have changed sides and walked away from the Democrat party and aligned herself with President Trump and then flipped to come over to the Republican side, they more than likely would have tapped her to be a top nominee. - Yeah, she would have been a next presidential candidate probably. - 100%. And they are kicking themselves in the ass for a lot of things, but when it comes to all things, Tulsi Gabbard, I think they're definitely kicking themselves in the ass for that. - And she's a machine too. Have you seen her doing the freaking crossfit fucking shooting workout things? I was like, wow, this chick is a beast. - Yeah, she makes some of our America first ladies out there who are big time two A advocates look like they're in preschool compared to some of the work that she's... She's put in the work, she's put in the time. And again, there's reasons why these people are all gonna be working together in a lot of contexts as well. DNI is gonna be working with the Department of Homeland Security, they're gonna be working with the State Department, the Department of Defense as well, obviously the CIA. And it's these people that have gone out and really got to know each other. Remember Donald Trump closed the ranks and decided whoever was standing with him after the assassination attempt up in Butler is what he would be considering his family. And it was at that point you saw a lot of people just risking every single thing they had, whether it be money, whether it be livelihood, whether it be the potentiality of going to prison if Donald Trump didn't win this election. And those are the people that he wants to bring to Washington DC as part of the mandate that America sent with a message last Tuesday. Namely which, and one that nobody had on their 2024 presidential election post fantasy team draft, was the nomination of Matt Gaetz for the Attorney General of the United States. This is set literally Washington DC ablaze figuratively as we won't be seeing any of that in a future Trump administration. But to do so and accept the nomination, Congressman Gaetz had to, well, not be a congressman anymore. He wrote, and I love you letter to everyone in the House of Representatives which was read by the outgoing Keeper of the Time and Switcher of the Speakers up on Capitol Hill on Wednesday. Let's hear it. - The honorable, the speaker, the House of Representatives, sir. I hereby resign as a United States representative for Florida's first congressional district, effective immediately, and I do not intend to take the oath of office for the same office in the 119th Congress to pursue the position of Attorney General in the Trump administration. Signs sincerely, Matt Gaetz, member of Congress. - I'm gonna miss him. Yeah, I texted him, and I said, listen, there are a lot of people that are happy. I could tell you, I'm one of the happiest ones out there. Loved your contributions to the show over the years, gonna continue to be supporting and praying for you here on the show. I got the read and the heart emoji for the message, and if that's all I get, I'm good with it. You know, I couldn't be happier for him and his wife, Ginger. And I look forward to doing a lot of extensive coverage as we provided it here for Congressman Gaetz, 'cause listen, he stood in the breach administratively. He's not one of these people that comes in and talks about being a veteran or has seen the theater of war, or, you know, know what it's like to work on the border, or all those other stuff that some of these great congressmen and women bring to the table, but you wanna know what? They're gonna say that Matt Gaetz is a lawyer that's never been a prosecutor. They're gonna say that Matt Gaetz has been someone that's been a scandalwarding throughout the course of his career, but when you talk about someone who's 100% prepared to go into every piece of work that he's done up on Capitol Hill, in addition to supporting President Trump, and then you talk about the S tier level of committee work that he's done over the years, good luck trying to find a better congressman, and I know this makes so many different people cope and see, like I was listening to the ruthless podcast the other day, three out of four of those host, absolutely hate Matt Gaetz guts, and when they have to talk about how much they love his nomination to be in the attorney general of the United States, it's like the same way they've walked back the narrative that Donald Trump was a 40 to 43% national level candidate, and he'll never hit the 50% ceiling, which would have gave him the popular vote, which he did last Tuesday. So again, they have been wrong on a lot of things. They obviously are very closely tied to former Speaker McCarthy, and didn't like the fact that he was vacated at the behest of Matt Gaetz as well, and to watch him go ahead and get ready to shine for the American people, I absolutely can't wait to watch it. No, what about you? - Yeah, I'm very excited to see what the next months bring. - Well, I just want everybody to be nailed down, and I want to know what's going on. - I can give you a little bit of a preview if you want, and some of the reactions to Matt Gaetz nomination. Here's a, soon to be probably Republican, because he probably forgot what party he ran for originally. Senator from Pennsylvania, John Federman had to say about it. - What do you think about these Trump picks, including Matt Gaetz? - Well, I put out a tweet about it. I mean, clearly, clearly, it's just kind of like a God tier kind of trolling, just to trigger a meltdown. But really the Dems' opinions on Gaetz, that's not really what's interesting. What to me is interesting is, those are the good ones are gonna combine my colleagues on the other side, the GOP, on how they can justify voting for that jerk-off. (laughing) - Johnny Boy, Johnny Boy. - I'm starting to like that guy more and more. - Yeah, speaking of which, it's been in the threat of John's. John Bolton, who, you know, was one of Trump's pitfalls, and he fired him when he was done using them. - He had some less than nice things to say about the incoming Attorney General of the United States. Let's hear him. - As an Elect Trump, intends to nominate Matt Gaetz to run the Department of Justice. What was your immediate reaction when you heard that? - Well, it must be the worst nomination for a cabinet position in American history. I think this is something that falls well outside the scope of deference that should be given to a president in nominating members of his senior team. Gaetz is not only totally incompetent for this job. He doesn't have the character. He is a person of moral turpitude, and notwithstanding how difficult it may be politically, this is a nomination the Republican party should oppose. - Judge your bitch ass up. - I fucking hate John Bolton. - And so much as one of the people who helped push that whole suckers and losers narratives over the years, you know, I've got a lot of disdain for that ass hat. I don't care how much of a pit bull he was when he walked into the room and had I ran at the other end of the negotiating table, speaking about people that did absolutely nothing for our country during his terms of service here besides bringing shit tons of money and spending on America last candidates. Former Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, who's no ally in any context to outgoing Congressman, Matt Gaetz had this to say about his candidacy in nomination, let's hear it. - This is a very good except one, right? Look, Gaetz won't get confirmed. Everybody knows that. But when you look at a Rubio, just the knowledge that he has being in the Intel Committee, I was on the Gang of Eight and his understanding, even when you listen to the other side of the aisle, they say, he'll make a great Secretary of State. So that's strong for me. A waltz just his background from a green beret and others being done. But John Radcliffe at CIA, former DNI, that's very strong. And the difference is to what was eight years ago today, President Trump understands the job. He knows the people that he needs around him to get there. And I think he's going to be much better prepared because he only has one term. But he'll hit the ground running this time. - You say, Gaetz. - And he doesn't have people like you running against him behind closed doors. Let's hear the end of that as she's going to ask a follow up about Matt Gaetz. - This will not be confirmed. Why bother with the nomination then? - You can talk to President, but it's a good deflection from others, but it also gives, I'll let it stand with that. - No. - Fuck you. I hate you. - And listen, we're wondering, what is the America First delegation of those in the House and Senate thinking about this whole thing? You know, and I have to remind you, Noah, Barack Obama at one point put out on Twitter his own account while he was President of the United States that he was considering Robert Kennedy Jr. for a high ranking position within his administration, which would have been the second term. - In addition, correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't Eric Holder able to pass through Senate confirmation to become the Attorney General of the United States? The guy that was behind the Russiagate conspiracy, the guy that was behind Fast and Furious, the guy that ran ground ops and time magazines, way we save the country from Donald Trump during the 2020 presidential election? That Eric Holder? Yeah. - That's amazing. - It's amazing. Like when you're attached to Fast and Furious, holy shit. - Well, great friend of the show, the coach himself, Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville, jumped on Fox Business yesterday, and had this to say about his senatorial counterparts who might be having second thoughts about some of the people that Donald Trump is nominating because again, America gave him a mandate. Here's what he had to say, let's check it out. - Gates, get the votes in the Senate. I don't know, you're finding all the swamp creatures coming out right now. Everybody's got an opinion up here, but at the end of the day, President Trump was elected by an enormous vote, and he deserves a team around him that he wants. It's not us to determine that. We've got 53 votes in the Senate. We can confirm with 51. I've already seen where a couple of them says, "I'm not voting for him." Wait a minute. You are not the United States of America. You have one vote in the US Senate. You did not get elected President. Vote with President Trump. This is the last chance we're going to have is saving this country. And if you want to get in the way, fine. But we're going to try to get you out of the Senate too, if you try to do that. - What parts of-- - Like to hear that. - Yeah, no shit. - Let them eat each other. Listen, and here's the only argument you have to make to some of these rhino, never-trumper virtue-singling senators on the Republican side. What fucking state are you from? How did that state go in this election? Oh, he won the state, he won the city that you live in. He won all of the districts around you. He sent multi-members of the House of Representatives up to Capitol Hill from the state that you represent. Fine, shut your fucking mouth and vote yes, or we're going to recess appointments. Now, I kind of want to get into this briefly, Noah. I do have, it's really hard to explain, and for someone who, you know, usually could explain a lot in regards to the way Congress works or elections and stuff like this. I had a hard time wrapping my brain around it, but it's one of the other avenues Donald Trump has to be able to get these people through and work in the administration moving forward, and that's the adjournment of Congress, and, you know, this is something. So, under Article II, Section III of the US Constitution, the president has the authority to adjourn Congress in a case of disagreement between the House and Senate over the time of adjournment. It's a power that has never been used, and its scope remains relatively untested, but here's a quick summary of the conditions that would be needed. One House guest must request adjournment. One of the chambers, in this case likely, the House of Representatives led by Speaker Johnson would formally seek to adjourn. Other House must refuse. So, other chambers in this scenario of the Senate then must refuse to agree to the request. So, Johnson's like, okay, if you guys are having a hard time confirming these picks, I'm gonna adjourn. And they're gonna be like, no, you can't do that. We're doing this traditional way. Mike Johnson says, nope, adjourning. And at this point, and if the condition is met, it opens the door for the president to step in and resolve the disagreement by adjourning both chambers. And President Trump's gonna be like, here we go. It's day one, and you guys are already working for me. Both of you guys go home and figure it out. Once Congress is adjourned, the president could then use recess to make recess appointments under section two of article two of the Constitution. This would allow Trump to install his preferred cabinet members without Senate confirmation. So, what are you gonna do with the right way? We're gonna do it-- - And then that's like official official, like they're in. - That's it. We're gonna do it the non-traditional way, or we're gonna do it by acting appointments. And one way or another, and everybody-- - It doesn't really matter if they're acting, they're acting, it's the same shit. - Yeah, shake your heads, not like the picks. Like you didn't want Tulsi there, you wanted this person there, Matt Gaetz is a joke. These are going to be your cabinet members and administration heads in the United States starting in January of next year, whether you like it or not. - Yeah, too fucking bad. - Cry more. - Yeah, cry more and cry harder. So, that's kind of the way I'm looking at it, and I'll have to give credit where credit is, do Amuse, put out that post, which Elon Musk shared, and I wanted to pick it up on social media. You'll never miss out on all the great stuff going on down here in the show, like our incoming interview with the Minnesota man himself, Congressman Tom Tiffany. So, a lot of questions are now opening up as we're seeing, well, at least-- - I didn't know Minnesota had a man, like Florida man, Minnesota man. - I love Tom Tiffany. Man, watching that guy introduced Donald Trump by the Trump rally, the only thing that's missing is him ripping his shirt open, like Hulk Hogan, and he gets so fired up for it. And his district in the state of Minnesota and flipping back to America for-- Listen, such awesome jobs up in this upcoming election, you know, that we just went through, and it's just amazing to see everyone work together. And again, where people are starting to already have their philosophical disagreements up on Capitol Hill, just close your eyes and think back 10, 12 days ago about how awesome it was when we all willed ourselves over the finish line and on the coattails of Donald Trump's candidacy, because we've never seen politics work in that fashion. It was so impressive, and it was really heartwarming. I don't know what other word to use for it to see everybody just kind of cast their egos aside and be like, I'm going all in, because I know on the other side of this, the country might not survive. So if you're worried about something administratively, like thinking it's gonna come back and bite you on the ass, remember, there's all these people up in the Senate who confirmed Alejandro Mayorkas and Merrick Garland. So how bad can pick in a Matt Gaetz or Tulsi Gabbard or Marco Rubio really be? - And Merrickas was confirmed to be corrupt, right? - He had to leave, see all his after purposes. - Multiple investigations, ethic wise, much like the same way Matt Gaetz has been scrutinized over the years, and one of the things that they're trying to hold over his nominations head. So it's gonna be interesting to see, but this goes back to, again, we're gonna have special elections for all the House representatives, the congressmen and women who are leaving, their seats in the lower chamber and heading up into the Trump administration. That's the Elise Stefanics, that's the Mike Waltzes, people of that nature, okay? When it comes to a Senate seat, you have the governor of the state able to appoint a new senator to fill out the rest of the term. We'll see it in the case in the state of Ohio, where Mike DeWine will have to appoint somebody to JD Vance's soon to be vacant Senate seat, because he will be elevated to the position of vice president of the United States. We're now going to see it in the state of Florida as well, with the ascension of Marco Rubio into the secretary of state. I saw on Boomer Sweatt's Sean Hannity show on Thursday night, RNC co-chair Laura Trump was on, she was talking about this, and over the door for this possibility, I'd check it out. - To be able to serve in this role has really been the honor of a lifetime. Likewise, if I am able to serve, I would love to serve the people of Florida. This is my home state now, and has been for three years. This is where Eric and I live, and truly to have that opportunity, I think would be incredible. And no one knows better than I do, the America First Agenda, or the goals of Donald Trump in the coming four years. So if I am asked, I would love to consider it, but I have yet to have a conversation with Governor DeSantis, so we will have to see. - Wouldn't hate it. I'd actually love it, but here's the deal. She did mention the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, who kind of remained on the sidelines after milk toastedly endorsing Donald Trump after he got out of the presidential election cycle. You know, did a little phone banking, did what meatballs do, but he wasn't out there like some of these people who we all covered here on the show. Down the stretch for the president, and it'd be interesting to see, I wouldn't be surprised if Ron DeSantis stepped down from the governorship and appointed himself to the Senate, as that's the only other possible career advancement I see from him coming out of the Sunshine State, because he will never be elected into the office of president in any different plane of the multiverse moving forward. Like his political career is essentially over after his governorship, he'll probably go into broadcasting as a lot of people have hypothesized, but much in the case like Governor DeWine, Ron DeSantis really doesn't see eye-to-eye with Donald Trump, so he's gonna have some suggestions to fill that seat. I would love Laura Trump. I would love even more Congressman Byron Donalds being elevated to Senator to fill out that term and then continue his extension into political aspirations, but we'll have to see what happens. And there's a lot of different things and moving parts going on right now, so people throwing their name in the hat at least puts pressure on everybody in regards to what they're gonna be doing in the next immediate future. So, no, you saw that Donald Trump had been rounding out part of his administrative staff, it was announced that Stephen Chong is gonna be the communications director for the Trump White House. I like that pic, what do you think? - Yeah, it's not bad, he's pretty solid. - Yeah. I have some of the other ones that were picked throughout the course of the week. I just wanna go through the names, they're all very familiar ones here on the show. This came from the Office of the President, obviously it came out yesterday. President Trump announced the four top advisors for his historic presidential campaign will be joining him and serving the White House as senior staff. First one, Dan Scavino. Don't really have anything negative to say about that, it's one of Donald Trump's best friends. Stephen Miller, obviously we know is gonna be the deputy chief of staff and Yang to Susie Wiles-Yin. James Blair, who's been a great guest of the show, someone that worked both at the RNC and for the Trump campaign throughout the course of the campaign, he's made multiple appearances here, talking about poll numbers, work they were doing. In battleground states, how much different this election cycle was than in years past and that really did materialize on November 5th, a couple weeks ago. Taylor Budewich, who we've been friends with for a long time on the show, got a nice text from him. Not too long ago after I said, you know, congratulations for getting elevated to the White House staff. And, you know, he's gonna keep adding parts and components here to what's going on and who's gonna be joining him in Washington, D.C. So, you know, you talk about everything that's going on with these nominations and everybody continues to lose it. I'd like to check in on the Democrats right now as we're getting ready to pretty much wrap here and jump in with Tom Tiffany. Here's House Minority Leader, again, entitled only even though he is a black dude. Hakeem Jeffries crying to Jake Tapper yesterday on CNN. - Sent it to do when it comes to some of these more, some of the more controversial appointees, whether your former colleague, Tulsi Gabbard, as Director of National Intelligence, Matt Gates as Attorney General, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at HHS, Fox News Co-host and decorated veteran Pete H.F. at the Pentagon. - At least he said both. - Do you expect that they're all gonna be confirmed? - Well, certainly would be surprised if that, in fact, was the case based on some of the reaction from some of the moderate Republican senators to several of these selections. But at the end of the day, what's gonna be most important is that both the House and the Senate commit to functioning as a separate and co-equal branch of government and that we elevate the principle of being a check and balance on a potentially out-of-control executive branch. That is the vision of James Madison and the framers of the Constitution as to what we should be doing in the House and in the Senate and how's Democrats-- - He probably had to look up in James Madison was. - Just solving the problems that the American people want us to solve, which first and foremost, relates to lowering costs and making sure that we can help everyday Americans who are struggling to live paycheck to paycheck get ahead and not simply get by. And all of this that we're seeing over the last few days seems to me to be a distraction from the mission that all of us should be focused on in this whole. - I forgot that the nomination processor, the people that are gonna be the problem solvers, come January of next year, is now a distraction from getting to work for the American people, something that physically can't be done until January of next year. We, as so much, proved that. In our last edition of the podcast, when Queen Jean Pierre was asked about Donald Trump and Joe Biden's historic meeting at the White House earlier this week, that they had talked about legislative items to present to this now lame duck session of Congress as with Joe Biden being a sitting president until January of next year, they literally cannot pass anything besides a CR that's gonna be a band-aid into the next session. Brokana, who at times has collaborated with Congressman like Matt Gates on pushing bipartisan legislation through that makes sense, says MAGA voters don't like all of the appointments that Donald Trump is making to his future cabinet because they don't move towards the center enough. You think I'm bullshitting you, even after Donald Trump won the popular vote last Tuesday? Here's to California, Congressman. - Look, people voted for Donald Trump to have lower prices in a secure border. I don't think they voted for the appointments that they're getting. I've worked as colleagues with both Tulsi Gabbard and Matt Gates. I'll let the Senate make their determination, but it's an indication, including of Tom Harmon and also Steven Mueller of just where this president's gonna go. I mean, he is not moving to the center, he's going to his MAGA base, and we'll see if he's overreaching on the mandate that he had from the American people. - I think the only reason Donald Trump or one of the major reasons that Donald Trump did so good last Tuesday outside of the electorate and talking about the popular vote was because of the MAGA Avengers that were with him on the campaign trail in the last couple of months leading up to the election. You think such a broad and diverse Elon, Tucker, Tulsi, RFK Jr., all of these people outside, and then all of the superstars people within our own conference, the Byron Donald, the Matt Gates, and everyone in between that. He brought along with him on the campaign trail. I think it was Doug Burgum. You have to mention him as he was appointed to be Interior Secretary yesterday. Oh, we'll get to that in our next new segment. But in the last clip I've got here, and this is on some back-end commentary following Donald Trump's visit to DC and hearing all the Democrats go and cry about it on the news. Speaker Johnson was on last night talking about, listen, they can say whatever they want. Everybody in America knows that we can't start working on the economy or closing the border until January. I'm anyway, so we just want to remind everybody that this Republican Party is more unified and energized than ever holds here. - Let's fear here on the Hill is one of euphoria. I mean, the Republican Party is united and energized. Like, I've never seen it, Sean. I did, we had a great time with President Trump. This morning he came and visited with the House Republican Conference, as you saw, and he gave a ringing endorsement of me and our leadership team. And that's very helpful. The unity aspect of this is very important because we have to work together. I did call Leader Thune today and congratulate him on his victory. We talked for a short period of time about the agenda going forward and how we have to do this in a bicameral fashion. We need the House Republicans and the Senate Republicans to be in lockstep on exactly the same page, and we will be. And he's excited about that. He's committed to the America First Agenda as well. - You know, lockstep was a word that we heard from two out of three congressmen who have appeared on the show today. All have been, or were in attendance when Donald Trump was up on the Hill. All retired and went back, not from their seats, to conference to have meetings behind closed doors. After that, and all have kind of come out using the same kind of vocabulary in the media that Republicans as a complete and total entity are gonna be moving in lockstep with President Trump's legislative agenda to get things started. Listen, we've got to deal with reconciliation and revisiting some of these pieces of legislation that we're gonna wanna dust off and use. H.R.1, H.R.2, the Lake and Riley Act, deregulations in regards to the attack on the energy industry, especially when it comes to liquid natural gas, looking to get new pipelines open, looking into reinvesting in the contracts that it expired, or were destroyed under Joe Biden, like the border wall and the XL pipeline, et cetera. There's a lot of things that need to be looked at that they can behind closed doors at least line up legislatively between now and January 20th of next year. We'll see if it's just all hyperbole or if they're really ready to get to work for the American people. And we'll leave it as that as we're getting ready to jump in with Minnesota Congressman Tom Tiffany, but before we do, here's another check-in with one of our partners. It's an unpleasant truth that 42% of Americans are obese and 79% of Americans are overweight. That's practically one in every two Americans living day to day with every minute counting down to the end of an unhealthy existence. It's time to change that and make Americans healthy again. Make America healthy again. - All right, joining us next on the show today, this is Big Friday edition of the State for Breakfast podcast. He's the Congressman who represents Wisconsin's seventh congressional district. We're always glad to catch up and have a great conversation with Representative Tom Tiffany. Welcome back to the show. - It's good to have state for breakfast. - And great to be sharing it with you. Listen, the congratulations is due. Awesome job retaining your house seat. House Republicans maintain the majority. We might extend it just a little bit. And then to the next session, we flip the Senate into Republican control and Donald Trump is heading back to the White House after his historic return for a little visit yesterday afternoon with Joe Biden. Congressman is someone who's been very closely aligned with President Trump. You definitely are out there promoting the America First agenda for all of the people in this great country of the USA. And to see such a historic landslide mandated victory come in the form of election night just a week and a half ago. What is some back end commentary you have? You know, as you guys reconvene on the Hill this week and had a couple meetings heading into the weekend now. - Yeah, so it was months ago that I thought we had a real opportunity to get the trifecta. And I was saying that to people now, I wasn't predicting 100% that we're gonna do that, but I thought there was a real chance. And fortunately that did happen. And we'd like to have a couple more seats, but you know, we'll take the majority as is. Now the big part is coming to, are we going to govern? And are we going to implement the America First agenda? I do want to comment specifically about Wisconsin. The rural areas of Wisconsin outvoted Madison and Milwaukee in this election. My home County, on Ida County, which would be Rhinelander, Monaco, Wisconsin, 94% turnout. - Wow. - Violence County, 91% turnout. Traditionally we've got 80, 85% turnout, which is really good. - Sure. - But Dane County and Madison had been getting in the 90s, and we needed to match their intensity. And those low propensity voters that everybody's talked about through this election, that's been the buzzword, those low propensity voters showed up in my district and across rural Wisconsin, they were the difference makers in this election, in the state of Wisconsin. They certainly were and we saw that trend, trending red across the country as Donald Trump picked up Pennsylvania and Georgia in the early parts of election night eve. And then when we got across the country, Michigan, Wisconsin fell into line and then we saw Arizona and Nevada even into the win column for the first time, picking up all the battlegrounds and the swing states in this election. It was worlds that came out in record numbers, first time voters, people coming under the MAGA tent, maybe even changing party affiliations for the first time. As you mentioned, low propensity voters, people that kind of want to stay low key and not really be involved in the political system saw that there were a lot of problems with this country and spoke with their votes in a very historic fashion. - By the way, this is what's rocked the left back on their heels now after this election, is that as you were saying, this is consistent across the country 'cause like in California where you're at, what did it move like 12 percentage points? - Over 40% of the-- - Over 40% of the vote. - Yeah, over 40% of the vote. Yeah, yeah, I mean it moves. So you had, this was nationwide that people were moving in the America first direction and that is what has really rocked the Democrat Party to its core. - I can't agree with you more. The knives are out, the finger pointing's out. They don't know what to do. Honestly, a lot of these prominent Democrats should go and take a long, hard look in the mirror, think about the words that have been coming out of their mouth, talking about Republicans and the, you know, calling them fascists and Nazis, likening President Trump to Hitler over the course of the last couple of years, saying that he's a threat to democracy. So much so that people have literally tried to take the President's lives and the forms of would-be assassins and then telling you that the, you know, the economy's fine, the border's secure and the wars that are going on around the planet, they're not gonna affect us anyway but we'll keep sending all of your taxpayer dollars there. I think America pretty much saw everything in this country was going in the wrong direction and they gave you guys a mandate which is where I wanna go next. This is something like maybe once in a generation that Congress, its totality, the Office of the President, even with the way that the Supreme Court bench is leaning towards Republicans right now, it is a historic time for House Republicans. I was glad to see Donald Trump return to Washington DC yesterday and kind of leave it in the Republicans' hands on what they're gonna do with Speaker Mike Johnson. Looks like he will be the speaker moving forward. They took quickly care of what's going on with the new Senate Majority Leader and Senator Thune. And when you guys now see the streamline set up and the only thing that's gonna be waiting at the end of the congressional pass is Donald Trump and his desk with a pen to sign laws. How exciting is it to be heading back to Capitol Hill in January with that mandate that the American people gave you? - Yeah, I have to say Tuesday when I flew out here from Wisconsin, I couldn't help but notice, I did have a bit more of a bounce in my step coming out here 'cause it is truly an exciting time and thank you to the American people for giving us this privilege to be able to have full control, trifecta control. Now the real challenges do start and we need really strong leadership. I mean, you think about Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden and crew, when they had the trifecta, previous session in Congress, they got stuff done with extremely narrow majorities. We need to do the same here because the American people have made it very clear that they want to see change and it is up to us now to fulfill that. And I'm just caution people, it's gonna be a little bit bumpy at times. But I would urge your listeners, you gotta pay attention to what's going on here because there's some people that are on our side that are still not gonna wanna go full America first and you're going to need to remind them that you want them to go in that direction. Just don't forget about this and let some of the same old stuff, same old same old that goes on in Washington DC. This is not a time for there to be, what would be the word that I use. Complacency, we need real change here to come out of Washington DC. - It's got time to be bold and brave. I think a lot of people check their egos at the door, heading into the back end and down the stretch of this election cycle. I think anybody that had a lot of inhibitions and maybe getting behind President Trump or underneath the America first tent, really kind of just let those go heading into, seeing the red waves start to crest across this country as it transpired into the form of votes on election night. I think when you look at it, I mean, you guys definitely have the momentum and like you said, it's gonna be the people who might be complacent or at times squishy. They might be a little tentative on some of the nominees, which is where I wanna go next. Donald Trump looks like he's putting a hell of a cabinet together. I mean, Tom Holman is the borders are. He's gonna have Christie Noem, the South Dakota governor to compliment him there. Lee Zeldin's gonna be joining the administration. I mean, honestly, Donald Trump brought back a lot of his administrative staff to make up his White House team, the historic appointment of Susie Wiles. You've got Pete Hegsek, that's gonna be running the Department of Defense. It just looks like the top to bottom right now, and there's a lot of great picks going on and kind of want your, you know, as someone watching, this is like a fantasy football draft right here. And when you talk about the America first mandate, Donald Trump seems to be putting the right people in the right places. - Yeah, you know, to use your metaphor, some people would say, well, hold it. I didn't have him ranked until the seventh round. And here he's the first round pick. So, yeah, it's very much an America first cabinet and, but it's sending a clear message, don't you think, to the swamp, to Washington, DC? It is a new era here. This has been so self-serving where you people believe the American people serve you. That is not how it works. You are supposed to serve the American people. And that's the clear message. Let's take the Hegsek nomination. You know, this is a guy who is not a general, but he's got significant combat experience, got broad knowledge, you know, a really good background. I think it's a clear message to those rank and file soldiers in the military saying, we now have your back. Those generals that are playing their parlor games in the Pentagon, we're gonna call them to task now. It's enough of the Woke DEI stuff. We want a lethal fighting force. And that is what the United States military should be. And I think that's what the Hegsek picked us all about. And certainly the Holman pick is very clear. 'Cause Tom Holman, as you well know, is not gonna mince any words. No. If you're a sanctuary city or whatever, we don't care. We're coming. When people are here illegally in this country, they need to go back home. That's exactly what he said earlier in the show today, amongst other things, was it kind of a, eye opener to see one of your former House Republicans, Matt Gaetz, being nominated for the Attorney General of the United States. I know you guys share some committee work time together as well. And, you know, for someone who's always called out the deep state, whether it was legislating on the house floor, fighting on things that are going on within the government, or, you know, the work he's done in committee, it seems like he's been up to the task to stand in the face of people, like Alejandro Mayorkas, Merrick Garland, the Department of Defense, Christopher Ray and others. But when you look at, you know, Matt's resume collectively, his extensive law background, and what he might take to the Attorney General's seat, how did that move kind of open up in real time for you just a day or two ago? - Yeah, you know, I was certainly surprised, but as I look back, I shouldn't have been surprised, looking at the people that he has been naming, the president has been naming to his cabinet, and he is going to shake things up. I would caution people that simply look at Matt Gaetz as his role as an elected official. This is different now. You're now in an administrative position. Now, as Matt up to that, I sure hope so. The president obviously thinks he can be, but this is a much different role that he's going to have, and I think people should give him some latitude. He knows he's no longer a congressman, and we all throw bombs every now and then. We want to get people's attention on certain issues. That's what you do as a congressman. Now he's going to be in an administrative role, and I think Matt understands that, that it will be a different process that I'm going to use to carry out my job. The other thing that I would say to the Democrats that listen to your show, they should go back and look at some of the initiatives that he's put forward. Matt Gaetz is an antitrust fighter. I've seen him team up with Democrats on issues like that. He believes in privacy. There's a lot of Democrats that still believe that there should be privacy, even though the leadership of the Democrat party has been horrible on that over the last number of years. There's still a lot of Democrats that believe in privacy issues. Matt Gaetz is your guy. And so, to a certain extent, he's typecast. I think people should give him an opportunity as an administrator to do the job because, my God, the FBI and the Department of Justice need reform. They certainly do. They certainly do. That's a great point you make there, Congressman. Just want to kind of ask you, going back to a little bit earlier in the week. Now, President Trump came back to DC. He had his formal, a little piece of publicity with Joe Biden before they went behind closed doors and for nearly two hours talked about all the things that are happening during the transition. But he did meet with the House Republicans in the conference first. What was some of the messaging? I mean, I know that the news popped in. They saw him take the stage. All leadership was happy to see him. And he said, it's really good to be winning again. But what was some of the messaging that he had for you guys? Some of them may be the task he's putting forward as you guys are going through the transition period. You guys are going to be sworn in a couple weeks before President Trump will coming in January as well. And I know there's things like reconciliation, maybe getting the five families together in the meantime and getting on the same page. So because when you look at it legislatively in the 118 sessions of Congress and what we should be previewing in the 119, there were some amazing pieces of legislation that were shelled by Chuck Schumer, HR1, HR2, deregulatory stuff when it comes to the energy. A whole bunch of acts that had been passed through the House and moved up to the Senate that weren't pushed up to the President's desk as well. And it seems like if you have a base based off the mandate of what America is giving you guys that mandate for, it seems like you guys should be able to get off and running come January. But just a little bit of insight on what President Trump had to say. And then maybe a little preview 119th. - Yeah, I think it's primarily a thank you that he came to see the House. Thank you for working with me. We look forward to working with you as we go forward. He certainly gave kind words to our leadership and we're gonna come back with the same leadership. He introduced his staff that was there, including Suzy Wilde, Stephen Miller, others that were there, Elon Musk was there. And of course, talk about him. And that's, if I could just do a little bit of a sidebar here. - Sure. - I am most excited about this department of government efficiency of all the stuff that's come up. There's gonna be a public database that's gonna be put out there with all the ridiculous spending that goes on with stuff. You know, whether it's a transgender queen project in Ecuador, you know, and I'm using hyperbole here, but you know, stuff like that. - Sure. - And there's so much ridiculous spending that goes on. And they're gonna put it in a publicly available database. And I hope Musk and Rama Swami tour the country and tell the American people about the ridiculous ways that their money is being spent. I think that is where there's a real opportunity to get control of some of this spending. - Oh, it's the absolute truth. And I think once we start to pull the curtain back, you know, it's always talked about, especially when it's time for the budget or to pass a CR or a gaffer bid, and I'm gonna bust, hopefully something we'll never have to hear of again, or at least anytime in the short term. It's always this ridiculous spending. You know, you've always had Senator Rand Paul, who comes out and does this Christmas list of all the government waste and stuff like that. And it's always gotten, you know, delivered to the American constituents as kind of like a teaser, but now we're really gonna see this thing stripped down to the bare bones like stuff that he's done at Twitter, also the way he's built up all of his multi-billion dollar companies over the years. He's done it extremely efficiency. I saw his dad doing a news hit yesterday and said that he was one of the most frugal billionaires, soon to be trillionaire that you'll ever meet. And I'm glad he's on our side, and I'm glad him and Vivek Rama Swami are gonna be working for us. In closing today, Congressman, I wanna ask, you know, as we are getting ready to preview the 119th session here in the next couple of weeks on the show heading into the holidays, you did a lot of extensive work, not just on judiciary and some of the other communities you're on, but really blowing the lid open on the U.S. Southern border. You know, when you look at a team border wise that Donald Trump is putting together, and it starts with his White House staff and the deep, vast wealth of knowledge that Stephen Miller brings to the table, and then you have Christy Noem and Tom Holman, who are gonna be the borders are, and DHS Secretary. I mean, we've talked about everything from how the immigration system is broken to the way we don't track people once they're released under certain administrations like under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris over the years, all the way down to, you know, all of the things that are going on in this country right now that need to be repaired. Are you gonna continue to keep a heavy emphasis on this? And are you really looking forward to work in collaborative view, not just with the other agencies, but members within the conference as well, to get this border finally secure for the American people, and then start to look at the immigration system and how we can fix it. - Yeah, I believe this is three steps. One, secure the border. Two, there's about five to 10 million Americans who are able-bodied Americans that are not working. They need to work. And let's make sure we're filling all positions that we can with Americans that are able-bodied. And then third, you have a legal immigration system that benefits the American people, because we believe in legal immigration. And 10 million people jumping in front of people that are trying to do it the right way. That's the wrong way. And so I look forward to working on that. I believe we should bring back HR2. I helped write the parole part of it. Let's bring back HR2, pass it through the house, pass it through the Senate, and let's get that in statute so the president can exercise his authority and we can finally have a secure border and a sane immigration system here in America. - Yeah, that'd be a hell of a foundation to build on. And as always, a rock solid interview with you, Congressman, listen, we've got your congressional websites and you're back up on the hill, live linked in the show description today. Where can we find out social media? Check out all the great work you're doing. - Gonna have Rep Tiffany. You can find us there. By the way, we have one of the best weekly newsletters that goes out, the Tiffany telegram, every Friday, you can sign up. We have nearly 50,000 subscribers go to our website. You can find a link to sign up. - Well, we're looking at a couple thousand more today after we sat down with the congressman who represents Wisconsin seven and is fighting for all of America first out there. Representative Tiffany, thanks for joining us on the show. Sir, have a great weekend. - It's good to join you guys. (audience applauds) - We have the team assembled, good afternoon. And thank you all for being here. It's a new day in the United States Senate and it's a new day in America. The American people have loudly rejected the failed policies of the Biden-Harris Schumer agenda. And this Republican team is united. We are on one team. We are excited to reclaim the majority and to get to work with our colleagues in the House to enact President Trump's agenda. We have a mandate from the American people. A mandate not only to clean up the mess left by the Biden-Harris Schumer agenda, but also to deliver on President Trump's priorities. We will make sure that the president and his team have the tools and the support that they need to enforce border security laws and to remove the violent criminals who are wreaking havoc in every one of our states. We will work to make America prosperous again by streamlining the bureaucratic machine and overturning costly Biden-Harris regulations. And we will work to restore American energy dominance, not just our energy security, but energy dominance, which will lower costs and bolster our national security. I'm excited to get to work with this team right away. And I want to thank my colleagues who place their faith in me to serve as leader and to those who were supporting another candidate. I promise to be a leader who serves the entire Republican conference. All right, Jim Beckett and the news portion of the show here. Last new segment on the back end of two huge Friday editions of "Stake for Breakfast." Noah, that was newly minted Senate majority leader, the South Dakota Senator John Thune. What do you think about hearing his initial pitch to the American public? And for those who may have supported Florida Senator Rick Scott, as he seemed like he was a more America-first choice, but we got to run with, you know, the cards were dealt. And here we are. Well, hopefully it isn't backfire on us, but I mean, it doesn't take much for people to say the right things. It takes a lot more for them to do the right things. And we are going to be going through some growing pains in the upper chamber, especially getting through these confirmations to say the least. An official statement from Senator Thune's office accompanied him going to the mic. I'm going to read it briefly. I'm extremely honored to have earned the support of my colleagues and to lead the Senate in the 119th session of Congress. I am beyond proud of the work we have done to secure our majority in the White House. This Republican team is united behind President Trump's agenda, and our work starts today. One of the only questions he fielded after talking about leadership positions within the upcoming Republican Senate and how it's going to change, I don't know what positions they're going to get because they really don't care about who's whipping and who's going to be in charge of senatorial fundraising in the next election cycle. Tim Scott, Tom Barrasso, Tom Cotton, those are the people that are going to be working alongside. I mean, when you look at just the numbers, Tom Cotton's been a pretty big advocate of President Trump during this election cycle. Tim Scott actually ran for president, abandoned his campaign and supported President Trump down the stretch. He didn't have the urge or the want to be in the administration. He thinks he can get a lot more work done than just relatively in the Senate, as that will be part of his legacy moving forward. So hopefully, better days-- - I just can't believe you don't care who's going to whip. - We'll figure it out later. Here's the deal though. The one question he obviously fielded was about recess appointments, traditional appointments, or what a German possibly could mean. Let's hear it. (people chattering) - Well, what we're going to do is make sure that we are processing his nominees in a way that gets them into those positions so they can implement his agenda. How that happens remains to be seen. You know, obviously, we want to make sure our committees have confirmation hearings like they typically do. And that these nominees reported out the floor. But I've said this, and I mean it, that we expect a level of cooperation from the Democrats to work with us to get these folks installed. And obviously, we're going to look at, explore all options to make sure that they get better than that they get moved quickly. - So there it is. That is not a suggestion. That is literally a threat to the Democrats. Going up to the point of so adjourning Congress to be able to have them appointed to be permanent positions in the incoming Trump administration. We're going to play nice on day one. And we saw that on the Senate floor as both now leader Thune and minority leader Chuck Schumer took to the floor to give their pitches and spills on the nomination and ascension for the South Dakota Senator into the Senate majority leader role. We're going to hear Schumer first talk a whole bunch of bullshit about things that we know aren't true because we actually were living and paying attention to it for the last four years. Let's check it out. - Now let me turn to my colleagues on the other side of the aisle. Another closely contested election now comes to an end. To my Republican colleagues, I offer a word of caution in good faith. Take care not to misread the will of the people and do not abandon the need for bipartisanship. After winning an election, the temptation may be to go to the extreme. We've seen that happen over the decades and it's consistently backfired on the party in power. So instead of going to the extremes, I remind my colleagues that this body is most effective when it's bipartisan. If we want in the next four years to send it to be as productive as the last four, the only way that will happen is through bipartisan cooperation. Democrats will be ready to do what we have consistently done. Work with both sides when the opportunity arises. Democrats will never abandon our values, but neither will we reject an opportunity to move the ball forward to make people's lives better when we can. The question is now whether or not Republicans are willing to do the same. To my colleagues on the other side, once again, do not abandon bipartisanship. It's the best and most effective way to get things done. It was true in the last four years and will be true in the years to-- Shut up, bitch! No, please. You heard him, but do you believe it? No. Bipartisanship is the only way to get things done. Not being tempted to go to the extreme measures of let's just say prosecuting your political opponents, tabling every single piece of legislation you sent up to the Senate, having a cabinet member for the first time in the history of our republic impeached and then ignoring it as now former Senate majority leader and all of the other shit in between that Chuck Schumer is allowed to happen on his watch against not only just Republicans, but every single person in this country right now. Now he just wants to bury the hatchet, guys. Did I say we're not impeaching my workist? What are we gonna worry about it? He's leaving anyway. Let's just bury the hatchet and let bygones be bygones. How do you feel about that? It sounds like somebody who's afraid that they're going to be punished and they're trying to make good with the, well, I mean, for all lack of a better example, the bully. I can't wait for Matt Gates to be the Attorney General of the United States. Well, the bullying's gonna be astronomical. Yeah, speaking of which, you might be able to see it from space on the back end of an Elon Musk rocket heading up there. Leader Thune was next to take to the floor and to the podium. This was his pitch to both Democrat and Republican senators, let's hear it. In action, via reconciliation, to preserve the tax relief Republicans delivered for Americans during the first Trump administration. It's also time to check the bureaucratic machine here in Washington, D.C. A key element of making America prosperous again is taking a hatchet to the regulatory apparatus, choking our economy, starting with the 1,000 Biden-Harris regulations that have already cost Americans nearly $2 trillion. And of course, a major focus of both the Trump administration and the Republican Congress will be restoring American strength to promote peace at home and abroad. That includes restoring American energy dominance for the sake of both economic growth and our national security. This president yesterday, my colleagues chose me to lead Republicans here in the Senate during the 119th Congress. I'm honored by the trust they've placed in me and I will work every day here in the Senate to serve my colleagues and to advance President Trump's agenda. My philosophy of leadership is inspired by my dad. Some of you know that I play... You say it? I like it. You better mean it. Or... Listen, you're going to have the wrath of Donald Trump to deal with. And Mitch McConnell is out the door in less than two years, Guy. You know, just build your own legacy. And if it's one that's going to redirect this country back onto the right track, more power to you. And God bless you. If it's going to be one that caters to the establishment and the rhinos and Wall Street and K Street and every industrial complex East, ever known to this country, you'll probably suffer the same faith that Mitch McConnell did on the back end of his. And that's having your whole family pretty much embarrassed by Donald Trump on a tweet by tweet basis. Guys, wherever you're listening to the show today, last call, thanks for listening. You'll never miss out on all the great stuff going on down here at the show. Like our incoming interview with Texas Congressman, one of the best dressed in the Maga Caucus, Mr. Troy Nels himself. So they had a John Thune on Sean Hannity's show last night. As we're getting ready to cut with this coverage and jump into a little bit more of a festive event. And, you know, he was asked a lot of questions in regards to his leadership, his philosophy, his ability to work with the Democrats or lack thereof depending on how coping and seizing they still are after the election, which seems to be at all time highs. But was asked specifically about the appointments, the Matt Gaetz's, the Tulsi Gabbards, et cetera. And maybe even looking at recess appointments or the nuclear option figuratively, of course, the journey in Congress, let's hear it. - So you've said that you would do recess appointments. If it came to that, what's the threshold for getting to that point for recess appointments? - Well, what I said is, Brett, and I think that all options are on the table, including recess appointments. Hopefully it doesn't get to that, but we'll find out fairly quickly whether the Democrats want to play ball or not. And I think part of it is getting these folks, we'll start having confirmation hearing as soon as the new Senate is sworn in in January. President takes the oath of office January 20th. By the time you take the oath of office, hopefully a lot of those nominees will be through their confirmation hearings and will be ready to act on them on the Senate floor. And then it's a question of how much do the Democrats resist or object or try to block those nominations from going forward? And we're gonna grind them out. I mean, we're just gonna keep consistently moving and we'll see what kind of cooperation we get. And then we'll, you know, like I said, we'll make decisions about where do we go from there. - And the thing is, it's like when you already have Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, who dare I say it, are Republican senators. (groans) Coming out and saying like, Matt Yates is a joke. Pete Hicks says joke. Tulsi Gabbard's not qualified, et cetera. They keep asking about the Democrats. What is the threshold for Republicans right now? Tommy Tumberville alluded in our last new segment that if you're going to continue to publicly interfere with the Senate confirmations ahead of the actual hearings, well, you can expect to get a primary challenger as early as 2026. He was straight up asked the question about Matt Yates and wanted to be able to play that clip for you guys right now. Let's check it out. - And finally, just back to those appointments. Do you think Matt Gates can get through? - Well, I don't know the answer to that just yet. I mean, obviously, as you point out, there certainly are some skeptics, but he deserves a process. - R.K. Junior, you think he can get through? - They deserve a process. - They deserve a process, yeah. I mean, there are nominees that the President has made put forward and, you know, the Senate has the role of advice and consent under the Constitution. So, they deserve a hearing and will proceed accordingly if these are-- - And if you were to vat, would you have to do recess appointments? You're saying yes or no? Would you say-- - Well, I hate to say yes or no because I think that's still an open question. My view is we want to do this the regular way and see, give the Democrats a chance to work with us on getting people in place. And-- - What do you think, though? It sounds like he's, I don't think the way he's bringing this to the table. I mean, it's a very complex issue. You're going to be dealing with, you know, a couple dozen cabinet level or administration head appointments. And everybody's got a different opinion than everybody. It's not like everybody's on the same page about Marco Rubio or Tulsi Gabbard or RFK, et cetera. But when you look at, you know, what could possibly be going on here? It seems like he's at least ready to-- I don't know, do the work that needs to get done? - Jump on board with the winning team? - Yeah. I mean, if everybody could just remember how great it was during the election and what it felt like in the hours after that, you know, when you look at it, you've got to think about it. - Sorry, I was just taking a second to reflect there. I also got the breaking news coming across the wire right now. The United States is going to have a new surgeon general come January of 2025. And I am wholeheartedly ecstatic to announce that it's going to be former HUD secretary, great friend of stake for breakfast, Dr. Ben Carson. - Nice. - Yeah. - Yeah, Ben, good job, Ben. - I told you that RFK Jr. and Ben Carson wanted to work together in some context. And now they're going to be working side-in-side as the director of health and human services and collaborating with the surgeon general of the United States. What a culmination to an incredible career. And, you know, it goes from like, oh yeah, let me just jump right in here and separate these conjoined twins who are locked at the brainstem to making America great again, literally. As will be the, you know, we call all of these federal agencies like the FBI, the AG, and the top cop of the land. This is the top surgeon, essentially in the world right now. And nobody more deserving of the spot than Dr. Ben Carson, really happy for his nomination and soon to be appointment. So we're going to segue here and get ready to wrap the show. So no, they had a large America First Policy Institute. You know, like fundraiser, gala dinner down at Mar-a-Lago last night. And Donald Trump was in attendance, as were many, if not all, of the people that are with him right now. And, you know, before he was called up on stage, I was pretty pleased to see that he was introduced to the audience by none other than the Italian stallion himself, Sylvester Stallone. Oh, nice. Sly's brother, who's been a longtime follower of "Stake for Breakfast" and frequently shares our content on places like Instagram is one thing. But to have the, well, undisputed, heavyweight champion of the world at one point and current Tulsa King, introduce and endorse President Trump at an event like this. - A good show, by the way. - It's a great show. It's like one of my absolute favorites. I just, I'm up to the, you know, I watched episode nine last night. I'm not doing any spoilers, but I'm like, how is that not the end of the season? But apparently there's another episode that comes out on the 17th. So I wasn't really as shocked with the way this season of Tulsa King is wrapping up much in the same sense I was with the end of the Penguin show. Have you seen that one, Noah? - Mm-hmm. - Okay, if you have the opportunity, it's like a standalone pseudo-origin story for the Penguin. It's in like the Twilight Batman universe, but Colin Farrell, believe it or not, plays the Penguin. - Oh, I actually, I saw, I saw something about like him going through his regimen for putting on all the makeup, but I hadn't seen the actual show. - Listen, it was a great show, but the way it ended, it literally made me wanna throw up. And it has nothing to do with gore. If you know you know, if you don't, and you have the opportunity to check it out, check it out. But getting back to this here, I'm gonna play the clip of the Tulsa King introducing the incoming 47th president of the United States. Let's check it out. - Didn't expect this, but I'll just keep it short, sweet, 'cause there's no such a thing as a speech too short. When I did Rocky, if you remember the first image was a picture of Jesus, it says Resurrection AC Club. I found a church that had been converted to a boxy ring. So the image pans down from Jesus onto Rocky being hit. And at that moment, he was a chosen person, and that's how I began the journey. Something was gonna happen. This man was gonna go through a metamorphosis and change lives, just like President Trump. (audience applauding) We are in the presence of a really mythical character. I love mythology. And this individual does not exist on this planet. Nobody in the world could have pulled off when he pulled off, so I'm in awe. (audience applauding) And I'll just say this, and I mean it. When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was gonna change the world, 'cause without him, you can imagine what the world would look like. - I love this. - Guess what? We got the second George Washington. Congratulations. (audience applauding) - Nice. - You good? Bye. (audience applauding) - It was pretty funny. He said bye, and walked off stage left, and then the girl standing there, and she's like, "Hey, can you hang on a second?" Then they start playing, "God bless the USA." And he's like, "Oh, I guess I'm gonna actually introduce him." So let me introduce the 45th, soon to be 47th in the President of the United States. Then they came up and did a bro hug, and a handshake, and it's literally the muscle-y black arm handshaking the muscle-y white arm. And yeah, it was just great to see, great to hear. Man, second coming of George Washington, Noah, how do you feel about that? - That's a bold statement. I like it. - Yeah, looks how it's doing pretty good working out for us. Donald Trump had a couple bouquets to pass out, during this speaking event at Mar-a-Lago last night. The first one was, and we've joked about it, how Elon Musk has kind of moved into Mar-a-Lago, and well, we like it, but he won't go home. Donald Trump kind of brought up that thread during this. Let's hear it. - So, of course, millions of dollars. Elon Musk, Elon. (audience cheering) What a job, what a job he does. And he happens to be a really good guy. You know, he likes this place. I can't get him out of here, he just likes this place. (audience laughing) And you know what I like having him here, too, he's good. He's done a fantastic job. He's really an incredible mind, and he's an unbelievable entrepreneur, sort of everything. I'm asking him, what do you do best? And we were not able to figure it out, but it's a lot of things. - It's quite a compliment. And I like the fact that Elon Musk is sticking around and won't go away. I didn't want this to just be something leading up to the election. And listen, there's a lot of work. He, we're talking about going back to the moon, going to Mars, all the stuff going on with Starlink. He's obviously got a whole bunch of new stuff coming out with, you know, Tesla and things of that nature. All this business is plus the Doge Agency, which is going to be set to roll by the time Donald Trump takes the oath of office on January 20th of 2025. Lots of stuff to do, and he's there. I've heard that he's had some input on some of the incoming cabinet members and picks, and the agency heads and things of that nature, and I think good, because the guy's got a big brain. He thinks kind of in the same thread of Donald Trump. Socially, he's a little bit more, got the anxiety side than Donald Trump does as the showman. But if you look at it as much as people that are just absolutely loved by America first, Elon Musk is out there, and he feels our energy, he feels all our prayers, and he's going to continue to do a good job, I think, moving forward. Last thing I've got, and in our final, audio clip of the week, Donald Trump had a cabinet announcement to make last night about not someone who's been compared to as a George Washington, but someone who actually looks like him. And that's current North Dakota governor, Doug Burgum. Let's hear it. - We have a big announcement, and I won't tell you, it's, I won't tell you the name of his, the exact name. I think he's an incredible person. He's got an unbelievably wonderful wife named Catherine. So I won't tell you his name. Might be something like Burgum, Burgum. He's from North Dakota. He's going to be announced tomorrow for a very big position. So everybody's waiting, there he is. Hi, Doug. (audience cheering) He's gonna be announced tomorrow, and we have somebody else that's probably coming up with him to be announced, who's a big one. And we're gonna do things with energy and with land, interior, that is going to be incredible. And so I look forward to doing the formal announcement, although this is a pretty big announcement right now. Actually, he's going to head the Department of Interior, and he's gonna be fantastic. - You can't even keep his secret for 12 hours. (audience laughing) - Congratulations, Catherine. But we'll make the formal announcement tomorrow. - And that's the thing. You know, we haven't heard who's going to be the energy secretary yet. We probably will hear it by the end of the business day heading to the weekend, but expect more announcements to come throughout the weekend as Donald Trump's not taking a day off, and he shouldn't be because he knows the task at hand. He lined it out for us over the course of the last two years on the campaign trail. And listen, for as much as this is an exciting and fun time for the United States right now, as we're really continuing to bask in the glow of that historical election last week, the actual hard work begins now, and it's not going to stop with Donald Trump's four years in office. If we're really gonna get this country going in the right direction, it needs to be. You know what do you think? - Absolutely, let's get this train on the tracks and on down the road, well down the tracks, as soon as possible. Because I don't think any, a lot of people didn't think we were gonna get here, but we're here now, so let's just fucking get it over with and make America what it can be, which is great again. - Live up to its potential again, I think that's a great point. And we'll leave it at that as we're getting ready to jump in with Texas Congressman Troy Nells, but before we do, a final check in with one of our partners. Friends, I wanna take a minute and talk to you about cigars. Whether you're on the golf course, fishing on the lake or doing some yard work on the house, our friend Alan has got you covered. He's launched the Patriot Cigar Company. The tobacco is handpicked in the fields in Nicaragua, right next to where Mike Lindell picks his coffee beans. Cigars are hand rolled each three years. Mypatriot cigars.com, that's mypatriot cigars.com, a premium smoke for freedom loving patriots. All right, joining us next on the show today, this is Big Friday edition of the State of Breakfast podcast. He's the Congressman who represents Texas's 22nd congressional district, and we're always glad to catch up with the best-dressed man in the House of Representatives. Congressman Troy Nells, welcome back. - Thank you, Ron, good to be with you. What a great day it is, what a great week we had last week. We saved America, Donald Trump has saved America. - Oh, we certainly did. And listen, big wins for Republicans across the board. So let's talk about that. Donald Trump's win was historic, not just electorally, but winning the popular vote is something that not a lot of people thought, or even was a reality in happening. We all knew it could and it certainly did. America spoke up and gave him a mandate. But when you look at what happens when someone like Donald Trump, a caliber of a candidate is at the top of the list. House of Representatives was retained and the Senate was slipped into Republican control. Now the streamline is set up ahead of some leadership battles and things that have to go on within reconciliation over the course of the next couple of weeks. But listen, as someone who tells it as real as it is, Congressman, you have to be more than optimistic. - I am. We have a unified government. And what I mean by that is we have both chambers in Congress, the United States House of Representatives, the Senate, and we have the White House. So nothing should get in our way of ensuring that we get Donald Trump's agenda. And that means all of it, all of it through Congress, so he can sign it into law. Immigration, everything. Donald Trump's mission statement. Whatever that is, we should embrace every word. We, Congress, need to embrace every word of it and not deviate it from it at all. 'Cause this was a mandate. We wouldn't have won the House of Representatives. We wouldn't have kept it if it weren't for Donald J. Trump. So the American people have spoken loud and clear, Donald Trump's a leader of our party. Now let's get behind him 100%. That's an excellent point you make. And then getting into the congressional, just a bit, Congressman. We have to look at the fact that it is a mandate. So the popular vote is, I mean, a president has elected every four years, regardless of if they win the popular vote. That's what the electoral college is for. But the way America spoke up and pushed back, I mean, a Republican candidate or any candidate getting over 75 million votes now and back-to-back cycles is something that we meant never see again. And that's the kind of politician and person for this country that Donald Trump has been over the years. I think the way that he got out on the ground in the final months leading up to the election. And it was outside of the retail politicking, the thing at McDonald's, obviously, the garbage truck. But the way he was really able to get out there and talk to the American people and his campaign staff set him up to be successful to where the messaging that was going across was not all the stuff that was being provided in the mainstream media, like women's reproductive rights or, you know, mass deportations are gonna be so sad and things of that nature. It was inflation, it was border security, it was re-establishing our geopolitical footing. And it was getting this country back on the right track. And as Donald Trump continued to listen, his messaging changed. And I think it evolved into the fact that we saw such a historic win last Tuesday. But now for House Republicans, you know, I don't see much changes coming in the form of leadership. I mean, obviously committee chairs are gonna be up for grabs. We obviously have some people like Rep. Stefanik and Congressman Walz who are gonna be leaving and to serve in a greater context than the Trump administration. But when you see you guys getting ready to head back to work right now, do you think we're going to finally get to see what the Republicans can do with the three way of having the Senate and the presidency as well and getting to work for the American people? - We need to because, you know, everybody talks about the first 100 days. So we need to get out there and get out there right away immediately and start supporting President Trump and his agenda. And we know what those issues are as it relates to the economy, as it relates to the border. I mean, all the issues that he discussed during his campaign, we in the House of Representatives of the Senate need to act on those things. And we need to do it right away. We need to, the Senate needs to get his appointments, his nominations confirmed as quickly as possible. So on January 20, when Donald Trump gets sworn in, we should have a stack of papers, a stack of legislation, HR1, HR2, everything that we've done to help him complete his agenda. And his agenda is very, very clear. Everybody knows it. It's an America first agenda. And the American people love it. The 74 million people that are out there, they say, what the hell's the matter with putting America first? Nothing. And that's what Donald J. Trump is all about. So my Johnson's gonna be our speaker. We'll have leadership elections here coming up and this and that. My Johnson is going to be the speaker. Donald Trump supports him. I support him. We shouldn't get in the way of that. We got to stop the little bickering and infighting we have here with some members in this net and support Donald J. Trump 100%. - And the point you make is exactly where we're gonna go with next. You know, we heard all for the last session of Congress that Mike Johnson was the most conservative speaker ever to wield a gavel in the House of Representatives. However, the way the power structure was set up with Chuck Schumer leading the Senate in Democrat control and obviously Joe Biden and Kamala Harris up in the White House, it was almost impossible to do anything except slow down the legislation, which we did on the back end and after Kevin McCarthy was vacated. Do you think now there's a possibility or maybe even the opportunity here for Mike Johnson to really show what he got to fall back on some of his convictions and if he supposedly lines up ideologically with President Trump and the law of this legislation, him leading that push to get the mandate and the agenda, like you just said, across the board and in those first 100 days, even leading up to it as you guys are sworn in a couple of weeks before President Trump will be. It's critical juncture for this country and it's going to get this, you know, 119th session off to a good start. - Yeah, great point. If he supports Donald Trump and his agenda to the T, to every single letter, to the every word to the T, Mike Johnson's going to be a very successful speaker. Now understand, last session here, we had a one or two seat majority most likely. Not at least we'll have four, maybe, yeah, probably three or four. So we have a little bit of wiggle room there. We're losing a couple of members, as you mentioned with Elise and Michael going over to the administration, but I think we'll be okay because we've got the greatest leader in my lifetime, Donald J. Trump coming back as a 47 president and every member of the House of Representatives should understand the reason we kept the majority, the American people gave us the majority and we kept it now, is because of Donald J. Trump. If we wouldn't have Donald J. Trump at the top of the ticket, I don't think we would have kept the House of Representatives. So we owe him some gratitude and we need to follow his leadership and his guidance. And if he tells us to jump off the ground three feet high and scratch your head, jump three feet high and scratch your head, period. We don't need to deviate from any of it. And we'll make America great again, again. - No, that's exactly the way I saw it too. I mean, I think that, you know, congressmen like yourself would have been able to retain your housing, but when you look at some of the inroads Donald Trump made in traditionally blue states like New York, New Jersey, California as well. And how many people came out and voted for Donald Trump, popular vote wise, it did make a difference. And I think we were able to retain and maybe extend the House majority by a little bit, much like you just said, in the next section of Congress as well. So let's talk about how the rest of the Trump administration is gonna be getting to work for the American people. There are a lot of familiar faces, not only that America, but you yourself personally, know who's gonna be helping to make America great again, come January 20th of next year. We had Tom Holman on the show, right before we jumped in with you today. You know, we saw Governor Christie Noem who's going to be leading the Department of Homeland Security, Lee Zeldin, who's a former congressman, I'm sure congressional counterpart of yours and many, many others who are gonna be joining. What are some of the picks right now that Donald Trump has been making? It's very diverse and very innovative, going with younger, especially in the case of Pete Headstock, who's a 20-year Army vet as well, you know. And I think that when you look at this administration, the way it's getting put together, it's not just gonna be the status quo, old good boys, DC, swamp, K Street, whatever, it's going to be new people who go in and are taking that mandate that Donald Trump has seriously, much like the House of Representatives and the Senate will be and they're gonna be looking to make those agencies great again as well. - Yeah, I trust Donald J. Trump in his selections 'cause he's right all the time. You know, he, remember everybody had concerns about J.D. early on and look at how he turned out. - Fantastic. - He's gonna be a president. You don't want to debate him, don't debate J.D. Vance. That guy is just, he's got a 10-pound brain. And the point I'm trying to make is, is you got to trust Donald Trump. It's up to him of who he wants to serve in his cabinet and whatever name he comes out of his mouth, we support it, period. That's the way it's got to be done. You got to support the president 'cause the American people spoke loud clear. And those that he have nominated so far with some of the names of Lee Zeldin's and Alista Farnick and Michael Walz and Christy Nomena, you got to support him. I think they're fantastic picks. They're America's first patriots and they support the president's agenda. And that's very, very important. We don't need any more turicopes in there. We don't need any turicopes. We need people loyalist, so to speak, that understand what Donald Trump's goal and objectives are. And that is an America first agenda and putting the American people first, not last. - Yeah, I mean, you're trying to see the mainstream media demonize that word loyalist. But when you looked at Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, when they took back the White House and they're bringing in people like Xavier Becerra to head an agency as no experience with Pete Buttigieg, who's heading an agency that he had no experience with. The list goes on and on. You want to talk about all the military brass that was able to move up into high ranking positions as well throughout the course of the Biden administration. And there's a bunch of people who have done less of a job taking care of their troops and more of a job kissing their ass the way up the chain. And it looks like in at least the Trump presidency, you have people who have not only getting ready to go out and reform these agencies and get them actually working for the American people in the same fashion that Donald Trump campaigned on, but they've actually invested a lot into this thing. You know, I go back to Governor Noem, you know, she's not from a border state, but she's been down to the border dozens of times over the years to shoulder to shoulder with Donald Trump in policy and has even sent her own national guard down there to help secure the border during the last Trump administration. So like you said, it's the people that show loyalty to President Trump that are going to be the ones that I think get out of the gate fastest. And when you look at the people that Donald Trump is dominating right now, we're still waiting on picks at the FBI and the AG as of this point of the week. But it looks like he's setting up a team that's just going to be absolutely phenomenal for this country. - That's right. I met a lot of these individuals. There's some that he's considering. I think Cash Patel would be a great selection for whatever, just a smart gifted talented individual. - Agreed. - He's got a lot of smart people around him. Elon Musk was in conference this morning. A lot of great things to say about Elon. And you want to talk about a smart guy. I mean, obviously very successful, wealthiest man in the world. And obviously having him part of the team to help make America great again is a very, very good choice, Vivek. I mean, just come on, that guy. There's just, there's so many gifted and talented people, men and women around Donald J. Trump. He's got a team, he's got an A team that will help him bring this country back from the brink of disaster. He'll do it. He's going to save this to the country and he'll save the world. - Yeah, no, it's the truth. And then just talk about that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswami angle a little bit. Congressman, before we cut with you today, you know they're going to be running the doge, the department of government and efficiency. Outside looking in, I mean House Republicans for the entire last session said that the Democrats spending was out of control, adding billions to the budget, adding billions to the deficit, adding billions to the national debt. And now it's like billions and trillions of dollars every hundred days now are getting thrown on the shoulders of the American taxpayer. So when you see someone that's been able to do what he's done with his companies like Elon Musk has, you see Vivek Ramaswami also come in from the private sector. He's another big brain appointee that Donald Trump is looking to help make America great again. You put those two guys together and they really want to look at trimming the government fat. I mean, this should have you guys like froth and the mouth when it comes to getting back to fiscal responsibility and getting that national debt down. - It does, I couldn't be more excited to pick two very, very experienced proven leaders in their industries to help Donald Trump with his agenda. So I think it's a brilliant move. The president owes a lot to Elon Musk, you know, because Elon he, you know, with X and everything he went out there. He put himself out there and said, we cannot put too far left socialist in the White House. It will destroy the world. It really would. It would certainly destroy our country and destroy the world. So Elon Musk put himself out there. So I think president Trump understands the significance that Elon Musk had in this campaign. And as long as they work together and with others like Vivek and stuff, I think Donald Trump cannot, he won't fail 'cause he's put the best people around him. And Donald Trump is the leader. He's got all of his lieutenants and everybody else, all the foot soldiers. Now we all march in lockstep with the leader of our party, the greatest president in my lifetime, Donald J. Trump. - Couldn't agree more. I mean, you had mentioned Cash Patel. We're still looking for people like Matt Whitaker. There's also the possibility of so many others. R.F.K. Jr. and Tulsi who helped out want to be involved down the stretch in the campaign trail. So I think when you look at the team that's getting formulated now, House Republicans retaining that majority in the Senate flipping. Congressmen, you laid it out today. We've got a blueprint for success. Now we have to execute it. Starting in the House of Representatives and all the way up to the Resolute Dashware, Donald Trump. It's hopefully going to be signed in lots of pieces of legislation. Come January 20th of this year. It's always great catching up with you. We've got everything live linked in the show description today, including a link to your congressional website.
