Trump nominates Middle East special envoy and Gaza ‘unfit for human survival’ according to UN - Trending
Here's what's trending in the Middle East and around the world. In more appointments, US President-elect Donald Trump nominated Steven Wittkof, who is a real state investor and is not known to have experience in the Middle East, a special envoy to the region. Mr. Trump also announced that Elon Musk and businessman Vivek Ramzwami will lead a new Department of Government Efficiency tasked with cutting federal waste. In Azza, the world is witnessing acts reminiscent of the gravest international crimes, where conditions are unfit for human survival, a U.N. official told the Security Council. Most of Raza is now a wasteland of rubble, said Joyce Emsuya, an interim chief of the U.N. office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs. Hunger experts warned that the North of Raza may already be experiencing famine. The US said that more needs to be done as it confirmed Israel has not fully met its demands to boost a Tauraza, with a 30-day deadline for addressing the humanitarian crisis now expired. However, there has been no mention of limiting arms transfers to Israel. Humanitarian groups highlighted that Israel has partially complied with only four of Washington's 19 demands. In the UAE, work has started on Dubai's first flying taxi station. The Verte port is said to be near Dubai International Airport and will handle 170,000 passengers annually. The initial phase will feature stations in downtown Dubai Marina and Palm Jumera with services launching in 2026. That's all for me, Thrayya Abdullahi, thanks for listening more same time tomorrow.
