We got an exciting commit. Top 100 player Grayson Littleton out of Tampa Florida, right? Wiregrass ranch. Oh, you did the Longhorns and much needed position, right? We needed some, uh, some more guys at corner. So what's the latest Justin? Yeah, so Texas needed four corners or three, four corners rather. They needed another corner back in this class and, uh, they got it. Grayson Littleton, six foot, six foot one. Why are we kid out of Tampa? Um, actually, you know, Texas has been in the mix for a little while, but when he committed to Clemson, people kind of just sort of backed off of it a little bit. Then on November 1st, he decommitted and reopened his recruitment. And it was really down to two schools that he had felt comfortable with Michigan and Texas. He took an official visit to Ann Arbor a couple of weeks ago, really enjoyed it, really liked it. Came off of that trip kind of with a, with an Ann Arbor buzz. Then he comes to Texas last weekend and actually in absolutely gets blown away. Uh, he watches Texas Thump, Florida, really found a good, a good fit. He feels like this is a cultural fit. He thinks it's a developmental fit. He thinks he's making the best decision possible joining this group. He's joining Caleb Chester in the class of 2025. The thing about Littleton, man, he, he's good. He, he's that stereotypical long lean corner who can add some functional mass. He can, he can add a lot to the game. But at the end of the day, you know, this is a, another top 100 overall player. In the country that Texas is getting as they climb closer to that number three. Ranking and national ranking. And they're going to be hovering around that for the next three weeks up until an early national signing day. They're at number five today. We'll, we'll get a, a more accurate view here in just a few minutes kind of where exactly Texas is going to be right now. But grabbing kids like this is going to put you even higher. And, and I think Texas is going to have around that top three ranking now. Yeah, absolutely top 100. That's nice too. Because I think when we first started heard about on the thing was like, Oh, are these just kind of depth got, not realizing how talented they are. So we're able to pull a top 100 corner from Tampa. That's important. When did he first come into the circle of, of even understanding that he was around? And back in the spring, Eric actually saw him in seven on seven down in Houston and really liked him and made a note about him. It's like, Hey, this, this kid's really standing out. Texas had kind of started that relationship. But like I said, once he committed to Clemson, it got kind of quiet. I think Texas revved it up a couple months ago. They knew they needed to add another corner in this cycle. And they missed on a few end state targets. Kobe Sellers, who they're still talking to. Cortland Guillory out of Kain Kane. They're still talking to him a little bit as well. And then Doreen Brew, obviously out of Conroe. And so I think they felt the urgency that, Hey, there's a dude down here in Tampa that can ball out. And as soon as he decommitted from, from Clemson, I think the writing was on the wall. It was going to be Ann Arbor or Austin. The horns just blew that, that official visit away. His family absolutely loved it. And now Texas has two corners. When they take another corner, it depends. If his name's Devin Sanchez, yes, they would. If his name's Kobe Sellers, probably so, probably would. But this really kind of shores up that, that secondary. They got four really good guys back there right now joining Chester, Jonah Williams and tell us six as safeties. This kid is fantastic. I love his stuff on special teams. I love his stuff on the, when he flips his hips and turns and burns. You know, this is a great get and it's to the, to the detriment of Clemson. So thank you. Absolutely. And he, what is he at 175 right now? Yeah, he's skinny. He's real skinny, but he can get to 195 without losing any, I mean, just adding functional mass without losing any quickness, any speed. He's also, you know, this is a kid that can do a lot of everything. But I think 195 is probably maybe even 200 would probably be his threshold. And this is a kid that's going to, has the frame to do that. Cool. Grayson Littleton seems to have very good ball skills and the ability to run in the open field on kick and punt returns. He doesn't seem to be a burner though. How fast is he in coverage? He's fast enough in coverage. What he runs on the track, who knows, we'll figure that out soon enough, but there's track speed and then there's game speed. And Littleton has game speed. He's a kid that, that can go. And listen, when you get taller, these taller kids, sometimes you substitute a four, four, four, four, five, but you still get that length. You get that quickness. You get a Ryan Watts type guy. And I think that's kind of what Littleton is. And if you look at the guys, Texas has been recruiting over the last couple of years, they kind of fit this mold. Kobe Black is another one that's like that. Manny Muhammad is very much like that. And I think Littleton kind of falls into that category with those guys. Yeah, we don't have a ton of pure emphasis on just turn and run guys. And also on one of those slants I just saw from his tape, he was able to close pretty quickly. So we'll have to kind of understand leverage. He understands footwork. He understands the basics. Jade Baron isn't going to run a four or four, but he's going to get drafted April and he's going to play in the league for 10 years. That's what matters. Track speed is important. Game speed. More important. Yeah. Money. Muhammad isn't a burner either, but he plays faster because of his football knowledge. Amen. Give Ryan up. Yeah. All right. So you were saying this kind of, of course, we were looking at other corners if they want to jump in the class. But as of right now, you feel good about the secondary. I feel a lot better about the secondary this morning than I did yesterday. Littleton is a kid. You know, I like Chester a lot. I think he's versatile, but Littleton's a guy that is probably going to start out on the island. But I think he's got some nickel traits as well. It really does make the corner class feel better. Now Terry Joseph and PK can go out and cherry pick one more guy if they want to bring one more in. And Eric and I understand that they're probably going to bring one more DB in. They can cherry pick a Devin Sanchez or a Kobe sellers, you know, are Dory and Brew. Then it gets fun because you've got your floor. Now let's raise the ceiling or in this case, raise the roof. Yeah. And you were just then Houston. Did you bump, you bumped into some of the corners down there, didn't you? I did. I did. I didn't want to saw Kobe sellers on, whoo. Days are bulling together, buddy. Tuesday. I saw him on Tuesday, I wanted to hang out with Chris Stewart, see some other guys and caught up with Kobe. We reported it inside Texas on Tuesday night that the horns talk to him multiple times a week. Terry Joseph and Kobe still talk on a regular basis. He seems like he's happy with his Texas A&M commitment. He's going to be in college station on November 30th for the big Texas, Texas A&M game. But I just know Texas is not giving up. They're not letting up on sellers for a good reason. One of the smartest kids I've ever covered. One of the lightest kids and light is a feather out there. I mean, just natural, natural athlete, really, really just a stud all the way around. Definite program culture type kid. They're going to keep, they're going to keep fighting Joseph and Sellers when they call and talk. They don't talk about football. They talk about life. They answer each other's questions. And that's how you sort of build it out over that last three weeks until early national signing day. Texas wants another one. They want a Sanchez. They want to Sellers. They want a brew. And the waste SARC operates in November, December. I'm not doubting it. Good stuff. Just keep putting guys in the league and the elite prospects will continue to come to Austin. Yeah, whenever you get your quotes. Yeah. Well, I'll say whenever you get your quotes from Littleton, let us know whatever he thinks about how impressive this, this secondary has been this year. Do you think that's playing a factor or do you think this is just good old-fashioned recruiting like where you should go? No, he's told, he said it's the development. He's seeing the guys get developed. You know, a Manning, Muhammad comes in as a freshman, starts as a freshman. Now he's putting together an all SEC season. He knows that Jaday Bering comes in as a nickel and then plays some safety and then plays some corner. Now he's getting developed. He's a Thorpe semifinalist, likely a Thorpe finalist here in the next few weeks. To him, I think the development was the biggest thing. And we actually reported that last weekend when we got to catch up with him. It's like, hey, two major factors here. Development and NIL. Texas does both very well. And I think that's why they secured his commitment today. You have any other ideas if he plays any other sports? Is he a multi-sport guy? Do you know? You know what? I feel terrible, Connor. I'm not positive. I'm not sure. I wouldn't be surprised if he runs track because he does have kind of that long gate. He's kind of a glider type kid. Especially when he's going punt returns and kick returns. Yeah, let's say his special team stuff tells me a lot about what he is athletically. Yeah. Yeah, that's exciting. And that was a quick turnaround, man. That was the RPM came in this morning. I think there was some buzz this weekend over the Florida game. But that was a fairly quick close for Sarkeesian company, right? Yeah, Littleton didn't want to drag that out. I think he had a good idea when he before he decommitted to Clemson where he was going to go. It was going to be Texas or Michigan. And he was giving them both a chance, took OV's to both. It was a very pragmatic process at the end of the day. And that to me shows a maturity that shows, and this kid's going to be another end early and early, like most of the kids in the class of 2025 cycle. I think that mattered to him as well. We thought it could be a national signing day deal. But at the end of the day, he wanted to get this over with so he can focus now. And we do have a grace in Littleton out of Tampa with a verified 10 9 100 meters. So I'd assume that's similar, but I don't know on the on the track website. Miles splits. Okay. I'll take a 10 a 10 9 kid. Like I said, he's a technician. He plays leverage. He understands the position. And that in and of itself, most kids don't bring that to college. You have to develop that. You have to learn that in college. Usually in high school, it's cat coverage is cover that cat do the best you can in college. It's got to be a lot more technical. Littleton's one of those smart guys like a Kobe sellers that uses his brain as much as his athleticism. Yeah. And he had deliberate feet on his tape. Like you said, he was able to close on the concepts he was seeing. It wasn't just purely out-athting. I got to be just a man guy. So, you know, everyone wants more speed. I don't really care about it, especially in in our defense, man. Speed is not a huge requirement there. I think this is a great pickup top 100 player. That's awesome. And like we said, quick close. We like those too. Whenever we hear about them and then it's done. That's nice. Right. And people need to understand there's four three speed and then there's four five speed. Well, what's the difference? Well, obviously, let me do the math. 0.2% difference. If the math checks out. 0.2% difference. It's about game speed. It's about miles per hour on the field in the moment. And actually, Texas does that pretty well. If you look at their miles per hour and a lot of their DBs, they can turn and burn. They got some guys that can go. But it's like you said, this defense, you don't have to have that fourth regal on the outside. The Travis Hunter, which is the anomaly. Manny Muhammad is a freak. Travis Hunter, Williams David, is the anomaly. I just got to let you know that. He's the one that's going to be in the league for ten years holding it down on the island. He's a freak. And so, but Littleton uses his mind. He uses his athleticism. And it doesn't have to necessarily be a four or three type kid, especially the longer. The longer they are guys, the slower they're going to be. You got to understand that. But it also gives them more length. It gives them more reach. It gives them more PVU potential, more high top potential whenever someone's trying to go over their head. This kid just, he just makes it work. Yep. Yeah, watch the tape again. He's been a fun prospect. And it's going to be a nice add to the room. Any final things just before we get out of here? I know you're the busiest man in the world right now.
