morning everybody Texas Homer here with Ian Boyd we're gonna look at some schematics as we do on the Wednesday show we'll look at some tape should be fun so the big question did Florida expose the Texas run defense we will find out here shortly and the Texas pass game improvement versus Florida especially in the deep game we'll also look at some of the concepts we used to score touchdowns and then we'll hear Ian's wisdom on the latest the ball playoff rankings it's always fun never a boring take from Ian when it comes to the playoffs always enjoy discussing that it's always fun all right first things first let's talk the run defense we pull this up so to give you guys contracts we're kind of looking at the fan narrative here right we had a fan narrative of i don't think that's the run defense no it's not i have to pull it up right here okay all right so the fan narrative kind of was man florida was able to run all over us is that a harbinger of of bad things to come and Ian went and did some study for us and found that it does not appear to be that dire is that fair yeah did you happen to did you happen to watch it with that kind of perspective in mind uh i didn't your articles perspective or the fan perspective did you happen to did you did you rewatch the game with an eye towards like was the run defense bad no i really didn't um i was actually more looking at the offense it was your article that i didn't look like how you realized it was during passing downs or second string um that kind of stuff no i didn't i didn't look at the run defense okay with that lens so you just got to take my word for it i got to take your word for it right and then the film study uh that's behind it uh that i looked at it went oh yes it is it is a passing down on my perfect examples all right as far as you know i'm right that's right you just cherry picked it they're going for like 50 every other play though all right so this should be against backup defensive tackles here uh yes i'm right out of half yeah so they have um sit here mitchell it knows and then on his right is alex january and on his left is uh i don't remember your main low lay maybe i don't remember maybe you brought and they brought me to get in the game sit here gets turned immediately yeah sit here did a did a bad thing on this play the ball goes exactly into his gap yeah so they get a deer call-ins yeah okay fans will often be like well the linebackers fit the wrong gaps when they see these plays well yes and no if it's outside zone and the other team is able to get the backside guard on the nose that quickly and turn him and release the center up the field there's not a lot you can do as a linebacker because the initial gap you're looking to fill is change is changing and the new gap that you have to fill they have amazing leverage against you so i can know how they're doing it that's why they're doing it but you also see like people don't all often think about the gap replacement too whenever you you're inserting a tight end or you're pulling on power or whatever because it looks like you have a little bit of a outside zone is the worst for this as a defender because unlike a power or lead play or counter the offense moves the gaps right by moving they pull they pull a lineman they pull a tight end and add him somewhere and they create new gaps and it's a defense you have to react to fit those gaps right but you can see where they're trying to create the gaps and so you can just go there if you recognize it you can just go there and there's and you can be sound outside zone the gaps get created like ad hoc right they get moved and changed all over the place and there's not even necessarily an intention to it from the offense they just let it happen as it happens and so adjusting and fitting it as a defense is really really freaking hard that's a lot of the value to outside zone for the offense yeah and you just have your running back kind of pressing towards that tight end or the left tackle and then you stay on that path and then once you see the cutback you can take it yeah jaden bah yeah he's a good player this is a really bad it's a really bad snap for sit here mitchell because he's lined up across from the center the line moves to his right if he were too gapping he would need to move with them to stay on the center's right he's not too gapping he's lagging which is great that's fine so as the center goes right he just needs to stay to the center's left and stop the next guy from reaching in so that he stays in an egg gap sit here mitchell we see how he gets turned immediately he gets turned immediately and then he gets reached by the guard so he's not in the frontside gap that's okay but he needs to stay in the backside gap egg gap he gets turned out of that too so he ends up all the way back in the backside b-gap and so both of the gaps to either side of the center are undefended and lefau has to get over there and fill one or both of them and he has to do it with the center coming off exactly scott pre-apprent essentially it's impossible it's impossible yeah um does lefau do an amazing job it doesn't matter but no but it doesn't matter you can't get you can't get reached as a nose and then your defense be in good sound position against outside zone january actually did pretty good uh whoever the backside end is it is lolay lolay lolay lolay got reached too i don't think the design was for him to be in the c-gap he needs to try to get into the b-b-gap not that it matters because satyr ends up there so yeah you want him in the b-gap and then you want baron on the c-gap kind of doing that surf technique like he's doing right there yeah sarell is not really getting down the line quickly enough either um that ball could have cut back inside of him and i'm not sure he would have been able to make the tackle if it were not a great it's not a great it's not a great rep like everyone's kind of struggling there yep and then he'll he go back to hill so hill is initially like uh he's got to go with the tight ends because there's all sorts of new gaps being created over there correct yeah so he needs to get over there and he needs to be pretty downhill about it and it seems like he did a good job he did a solid job there but yeah who's our edge who's this edge uh i haven't written down in the notes i think it's blackwell okay he actually does okay he does good it's setting the edge now if 89 wants he can drive him out of the play he did get a little bit of feel actually yeah but for his size and role like i'm like all right that's setting the edge enough right you're not a defensive end but yeah just not a good rep there drew kelson pull up drew pull up drew's comment oh i didn't even see this one press the center's hip and stay square he gets reached and the sea parts yeah when they when that center's moving cedar needs to be looking to get hands on the next guy if you get hands on the next guy you can hold him at bay and you can hold your position uh go to the next drew comment sometimes when you get reached effort consolidated to back door can allow you to back door is what he's corrected sometimes you get reached effort can allow you to back door for the podcast listeners that are not able to see the tape but can listen there's not enough sense of urgency at all great coaching reps though this is a this is still going to be a terrible podcast listen even with that but but the point is like so so the guard reaches you your cedar and the guard reaches you and now you're like two gaps back okay if you just drive into that guard and start shoving him the direction he's already going you could potentially close all those gaps you accidentally gave up right yeah well cedar gets reached and then he just kind of says rep over doesn't get pancaked at the end of this i have no idea what he he tries to learn sort of yeah he tries to lunge for the tackle which is something and then he just ends up getting pancaked so not great yeah it's not a good rep all around but you also see too like when the nose gets reached how it just throws everything out of whack immediately this is what um if you look at georgia of like if you look at georgia year over year their defensive lineman usually don't put up very good stats but you watch them and stuff like this never happens what makes them great is that they're always in the right position and somebody else gets to make the play but they control the point of attack and they control where the offense is allowed to go and it makes the linebackers look really good and edge guys giving up on the play if the play is away is not good if you ever watch logan wilson he's hustling on every play a lot of jogging at midplay well i think serrel is trying to maintain a square position but he's definitely not he's definitely not moving quickly enough yeah like in the beginning he's doing a surf technique he's purposely kind of staying wide and shuffling his feet this one of those plays where i think everyone just thinks the other guy is going to make the play and then the fouls really got no shot there with the center able to come up on him that quickly and he has a two-way go if the full foul goes towards the top of the screen then he cuts back so the only one i like here is the safety the foul at least committed to what he was doing and box the ball back in so the safe so the safety is it taff that's coming up with nakuba is that makuba makuba i think the safety has a really clear uh is the the running back he knows where the running back is going to be so he has a very clear sight line to the ball and where to be that's makuba and mcdonald i think yeah so not a good rip but also we can see it starts to get out of whack with sardir in there and sardir is not a starter right yes that's the main point of that but still are we do you have the other outside zone on or no i have every i've every clip including your article okay i had two clips of outside zone and they're both exactly the same thing it's like sardir gets reached on both of them yes it's the same one or it's it's the other play but it's the exact same thing happens yeah yeah yeah he fights it off a little bit but he's trying to battle the center and he needs to be battling the guard that's trying to reach him it doesn't understand yeah the center's the one that's going to climb into the linebacker he's but that that's fine like you can't you can't get turned like just make sure the guard doesn't reach you like if the center climbs past you that's not great but what's worse is if you get reached and he gets reached so i don't i don't know exactly what they're teaching him but i can't imagine that that's right no they're not teaching him to get turned on outside zone that's the opposite of what you want to happen on outside zone i don't think they teach him to prioritize the center either yeah but you have to check something the ball goes into the vacated agap again and uh mcdonald has to clean up yeah these are safeties are doing good job yeah he was down in the box this time too right yeah mcdonald is right here but i'll tell you what mcdonald didn't really get over that quickly considering that they just rotated the tight ends over yeah let's look at the front it's the same deal when they start with like two wing tight ends but then they motion one oh he's coming from deep that's not really his fault yeah he's coming backside and deep yeah yeah he's he's fine his positioning is pretty good but see i like the secondary here right safety comes down but also corner gets blocked but he's still like very aware and paying attention then he's able to get off of it so there's not a threat of them like breaking a long long run of course you don't want him to get eight or whatever they got here but the secondaries at least the safeties are doing the safety part of their job this has been all year there's like that against michigan too he's not even for us uh calx January okay yeah so this is svedere in january um in the michigan game this is true too we're like the very few times that michigan got anything past the front the safeties were always in good position and just cleaned it up before they could really do any real damage yeah our secondary is good man all right so outside zone they get a nice run here but they're also up against al x january and svedere mitchell who you know are young guys january mmm pretty good decent yeah svedere just can't keep getting reached right there that's the tricky part yeah now woodyard asks did svedere have any good reps i'm hopeful for his development he had great reps when they ran like inside zone at him because inside zone the offensive line instead of trying to reach you they're just trying to combo and drive you off the ball and you're not you can't go downhill on svedere and move him off the ball he's too big and powerful as long as he has any breath you know if he gets winded you could probably push him around a little more but he did he did great um when they tried to run downhill on him but on these outside zone plays where he had to move laterally not good not good at all just qualifyingly bad yeah what is it what is it year two it's year two right actually i don't know i just know that our guys that we get excited about Collins broughton or whatever they're all fourth and fifth of your guys he is a second year player yeah so like the curve on these guys like to expect them to come and be dominant like biron murphy like he biron murphy is the weird anomaly here um these guys should theoretically i mean we should be seeing them in their fourth year um so i would be i would be surprised if they were absolutely killing it right now um so these are good reps they're teaching points for the young guys correct yeah he did stuff wrong but they're able to coach it up he'll have to kind of figure it out so maybe it's a recognition problem yeah just that is definitely a component here the recognition is uh is certainly a problem i don't know if it's the only problem but it's definitely a big part of the problem yeah guys are coming like biron murphy get drafted like biron murphy yeah dude yep that mental eval on him was just um insane so but yeah he's the exception not the rule right third year is pretty normal for these guys to click third year um i'm i have uh uh george's roster in front of me because i'm writing on them and well they're all miss game for the sub stack america's war game dot sub stack dot com and their uh their main tackles they have a couple fifth year guys who were not amazing last year and are a lot better this year and then they're like best young up-and-coming guy is probably kristan miller who's a third year player so even georgia these guys i year three i think is when you would want to see it and sometimes longer before they they really get it yeah and this is why you put them in games like florida and you know they have some bad reps okay that's not the end of the world that's how you develop them they need these game reps they need to know what they're doing wrong kind of thing my bad fellas work break anyone know why jacwin and jackson didn't just stay and switch to running back like roshan johnson um so he didn't want to be a running back that's all i knew early on and then utah was able to convince him later on uh you know he's not beating out cam rising so that's all i thought it was he wanted to be a quarterback ironic yeah yeah i know right cam also from us but um they just wanted to be a quarterback and utah was able to convince him to be a running back after he got beat out again at quarterback whenever he showed up at utah i remember when he was coming to texas and i was like oh i think this guy's ever going to play quarterback no and people were so mad and i got a direct message from somebody who was concerned on my behalf and they were like you need to be careful the way you talk about jacwin and jackson people feel very strongly about this kid and if you are too loose you're going to get yourself into real trouble and i was like well that's not even me dude i was like he doesn't read anything like what i'm not i'm just telling it like it is and they're like i'm just telling you like he was he was seen as like uh uh almost a messianic figure in in some in some parts of texas yeah it's in dallas um so yeah you did you feel that up in dinton or was that did that not get to north dallas that yeah no i mean i only felt it like on twitter um but it was a special athlete but like you said it was more athlete than quarterback and that came to fruition by him not playing quarterback at multiple places told him conflict he was he was also like people got so excited because he was so good he was amazing in high school but it's like guys he's playing like he's playing like wildcat quarterback on a stacked team with a huge older line blocking in front of him like that's not really a good barometer for college quarterbacking success you want to see you want to see quarterbacks with whatever offensive lines you know like what can they do with kind of middle of the road offensive line sometimes because those good offensive lines can trick you all right before we keep going he's plus one on every run correct yeah he has the box out number all right for a quick going or keep going guys let's hear a word from our sponsor i'm just gonna say guys you probably need a fiduciary financial advisor and i've got the guy for you his name is david mcclellan with forum financial he works broadly and deeply with his clients as a financial life coach and he should know consultation is available so just give him a call the number is 312-933-8823 that's 312-933-8823 his email is also in the description below all right the next part of your thesis on the texas run game uh where you know some of their good runs came on passing downs so this is second and ten texas of course is likely anticipating pass here that wide receiver motion though whenever you see teams do that a lot of times it means run because they want you to they want your linebackers to change the strength and then they're hoping that they can hit a gap because you got everybody doesn't adjust the right way yeah they're widening the box yep and then they draw the nickel into the run fit on the bottom or whatever Anthony Hill it's not like a terrible rap it's like five yards they had a they had a lot of these runs where they just like picked up five four to seven yards which is winning rushing attack right yeah but you watch it it's not like it's really bad it's not like everyone just failed utterly um they just kind of caught them like the linebackers are way off the ball and uh is this one with erin bryant you watched the nose just got pile driven who's 53 is that erin bryant yeah erin bryant yeah so whereas sedir has problems with outside zone and getting moving laterally erin bryant is too small or not strong enough yet to play these double teams like look at that this is what it used to look like when verne and broaden would get double teamed inside it just gets put just gets put on skates and goes backwards well especially like watching tavondre sweat there would have just like thrown those guys on the ground you know it's crazy what we've had there Blake bryant says their line got great push on that rep it's not even uh uh it's not even on the line in general like uh they got burk on bottom playing as a four i and he holds his point the edge is fine the three technique if you can play it the three technique out pushed a little bit as well but it was it was really like bryant just gets washed out the three tech is not the three tech is not doing too bad is that call-ins or lily i think it's a little a it's hard to tell it's hard to tell uh lily is he lily is hit or miss against double teams he's not bad but sometimes he does get moved a little bit but you see how he sets his feet at least like he posts that back leg like right there so he's like he's he's at least trying to stop them from moving forward we don't have that technique with bryant right there no he just gets so and i guess our linebackers aren't taught to fill fill i guess they're kind of doing the Georgia thing right where they what's the point of filling you want to end up kind of just curby smart told thing was like whenever you teach linebackers to fire directly to fill the gap you end up taking away the advantage of why they're second level players so his argument was you make everyone first layer our first level at that point and when you do that if there's a gap open they're going to score if they can juke your safety so like curby's philosophy is like don't fire them straight into that gap because you that's the point of having a second level a second tier of defense and to me it looks like we're not trying to fire straight into the gap based on double teams right here interesting all right next one third and five kind of in the middle here but still i consider passing down yeah here comes third and five here comes counter boom tight inch should wrap up he does who is this ball for them no this is uh the covid jackson jackson yeah this is a good counter rep so that's on alpha colin serrell hill these are the starters right yeah train more they have they're they're at an advantage because they're running at uh they're running at an open bubble they they get they get to double team colins with the left guard in the center and then they can send the left tackle up for a linebacker well and it's also right like the advantage of counters is down block so you have these you have the leverages to wash these guys down too yep the way that you would stuff this is serrell meeting that guard very physically and then just squeezing it way down to where they can't run the ball inside so when this guard connects his serrell right here he would slam him where this tight end is going to go and completely shut out that rock but on the flip side i guess if you do it too much well we have force players we're good so yeah he can squeeze because five's coming down three's coming down so yeah his point is just shove that that guard is coming right in that gap that that line are that running backs gonna go right there you want to close that gap yeah it's not terrible that he didn't because well that's just the perfect world of if we could get it normally normally there'd be like a 2i or a 3 technique in there and there wouldn't be so much space for them to run downhill through but texas is not really in a ideal front for this situation they're thinking it's going to be a pass yeah so what i what i noticed and what i tried to capture in a lot of these is that when florida had success in the run game by moving people it was usually against the third string guys and when florida had success in the run game against the starters it was usually like a favor a traditional a favorable play call they beat texas a couple times but a lot of times it was like like one of their first runs of the game florida had was a really good inside run that went for like eight yards and they caught texas in a slant or low lay slanted into a double team and then he got just rocked off the ball and then the running back ran behind it for like seven yards to do something so not great but just not like you're not getting beat straight up you just got beat because your call was bad your guys weren't in the ideal spots what i saw was a good rushing i think florida is a legitimately good rushing attack and i think georgia would tell you the same thing and when they beat or caught texas i just don't think it was i don't think it was something that was like uh some systemic flaw in the long horns i think it's just like yeah you're gonna get beat now and then if you play a running game like that and texas never got beat for big explosive runs and a lot of it was in garbage time against backups so so your final verdict was texas exposed in the run game against florida no all right good that's exactly i'm not making these titles like whenever you're making the title on the video i have to put texas is exposed in the run game because i can't put a question mark because then it's screwed up to flow it looks like the the rest of the topics are answers to that question so texas fund you can expose question mark texas deep passing game it looks like i'm answering that so you end up having to put these statements in the title that are not actually the belief because it's just how it works but yeah texas not exposed now is the question is is texas as elite as pet as last year in the run game which i feel like fans are asking no we're not but we're still like sixteenth in the country in yards for carry on defense so it's not an elite rushing defense like last year but it doesn't matter it's still a top 20 rushing defense and that's really kind of all you need especially with a number one rated passing defense yeah elite run defense is overrated i agree it's not it's not that it's it's really helpful for like stacking up wins in the regular season but when you play the great teams in the postseason your elite run defense will not save you as we all saw against washington last year when michael penics had was averaging like 19 and a half yards per pass attempt yeah it's like oh but our big massive defensive tackle is that everybody's afraid to run on congrats useless well it backfired on us so many times because we would completely shut teams down they wouldn't be able to run and so they'd be like oh we're forced to pass and turns out you can pass on us right now elite number one run defense paired with the number one pass defense let's go because now you're in a predictable situation and we have the pass defense but if your pass defense is weaker than your run defense then you end up forcing them to make more efficient plays it's kind of a weird concept i would i would put it this way i would rather have the best pass defense and the 25th best run defense than the 25th best pass defense and the first best run defense i agree with this running the ball is just not as efficient like a great a great passing attack will tear you up in ways that the running game won't yeah because it will even if you look at it like you know rushing yards per carry you'll look and there'll be some like four yards right and then you'll see teams average you know eight yards per pass so i mean it's twice as effective to run i was telling Paul it's like the difference between like taking a skateboard in a car or skateboard in a bike you know running is just not efficient running to me is more of a jab like in boxing it's a jab you're not going to knock someone out with the run but you can hide things behind it play action that kind of stuff and coaches still have this very macho way of viewing the run like you will not run on me so sometimes it has some value there because you can decoy and do cooler things in the past game because of the run but as far as it being like super effective and critical it's just not what it was i'll tell you the the proof and the putting on this is that Boise State whoever if they make the playoffs whoever they play in the playoffs will have a game plan to stop Ashton janti or whatever how you say his name well yeah yeah their ability to score in that game it's not just going to be run with janti and he's great if they play anyone with a pulse that has a month to prepare they will figure out how to stop that run game and then Boise State will live and die with whether or not Maddox Mattson or whatever the quarterback's name is can punish it yeah whenever you're going up again like if you're going up against a special running back sure sell out but that's the thing is you can sell out to stop the run and you can't really like teams trying to sell out the stop 2019 LSE would stop the pass and they still got rocked yeah all right let's look at the passing the deep passing game i think that's going to be pretty interesting before we do that though guess what sponsor time this video is brought to you by luxe kitchen and bath luxe has been trend all right so we have Matthew golden they hit post-wheel against Vanderbilt yes oh that rpo yeah yeah and that i think it was on the corner blitz they hit it yeah that was the rp that was the rpo though all right so number two golden is in the slot number five wingo is down at the bottom of your screen this is so they are what this is such a good it's just a really good play design good that is i wanted to have to go what's going to happen is ryan wingo is going to go up the field and he's going to hit a post and then golden's going to switch release and come run at the bottom of your screen here what sark does it's really interesting here is he has a swing pass but he's able to get jaden blue out in front as a lead blocker and you're going to see this totally screws with the uh for the secondary particularly the uh kind of for the safety it's going to be a lot of fun jaden blue comes out to lead block quin fakes the screen here which is credible because we throw a lot of screens so a lot of the sark screen game that i can even get frustrated with the over utilization of it so he can build on things later right fake this screen try to get people to buy it and then go over the top okay so we see that the corner number seven here at the bottom of the screen stays with ryan wingo this nickel right here expands with blue and wisener the linebacker here also expands and then we'll have another view of this it'll make it a little bit clearer downfield what occurs golden wide open florida was in great position to stop the swing pass yep and could steal the safety not feeling happy with himself okay so sark overloads aside here with four players to one side which is going to stress a defense i don't need your drawings all right blue comes out as a lead blocker and sark's been doing that a lot lately he's been putting these lead blockers on screens um and he's doing it in really creative ways on checkdowns yeah on checkdowns yeah so quin fakes here right like he's going to throw the screen then you're going to see this linebacker here at the top right here he's going to give a push alert to the nickel he's saying expand expand because they're going we're widening out the defense here ryan wingo still has this corner on him he's taking him on a switch route the corner is sticking with him the safety here you can see this is golden he's coming out for that wheel the safety here i don't know you know whose rules are what i just know that the corner sticks on the safety or a corner sticks on wingo the safety looks like he's going to take golden here over the top expand over the top he doesn't he speed turns decides to go with ryan wingo at the last second golden wide open and then you can see number 14 could steal here um clearly frustrated and confused on the what even kind of happen there shucks sark was able to produce the shucks fun play interesting play nice design as usual from sark and most importantly taking shots down the field baby uh getting that a dot up that's a really tough the way that they get they go from it from and they're being too removed to that side with a third in the backfield to three removed with a fourth in the backfield i've been trying to me and me and connor were trying to figure out like what how's florida even supposed to defend this by rule right and uh it was tricky to figure out um well the parallons switch release right because if they just stayed in their spots it'd be very it'd be simple you'd have the nickel expand out the linebacker also expand out the number one the corner would take number one if they didn't switch and just go vertically with them and then number two on the the number two receiver on the safety but because it because it becomes trips late with a fourth you wonder if the nickel is actually supposed to uh carry the switch or not well i wonder too if like he's like well who's the new number one who's the number two because i guess the argument here is like the safety you can say like i'm supposed to take number two ryan becomes the number two at that point the corner here should should go off onto the number one no they never do it that way though because like like i like i like i told you all last week florida always plays just man outside for theoretically for simplicity this safety did just completely blows it then i don't know what the value is here and also if the corner is mag man everywhere he goes uh wingles got leverage too on this post if this backside safety you can get there in time but theoretically an nfl quarterback can fit this post here too how they played it yeah yes but uh let's say that let's say it it becomes trips at the last minute and then let's say florida's adjustment to that is like a normal like a special kind of coverage where the nickel plays man on number two then the nickel on that case needed to carry golden and the safety would still be like in a support spot i don't i don't think the safety is i mean he doesn't really guard anything he's not in position that's what i'm saying he does everything wrong here so he's wrong but i'm not sure if he's the only guy that's wrong or not that's that's really hard to do well the confidence on the other three players is sound you know like the linebackers like push alert he expands the nickel here's the push alert expands eyes on him the whole time the number one corner that takes wingo looks you know he's posted up on him the only person here that seems like they're experiencing doubt is the safety yeah you know what i'm saying like he's the only one second guessing themselves they expanded correctly both with with both backs they did good there you know he's he's he's wrong i just don't know exactly how he's wrong yeah same man points out quince feet weren't said again yeah so i pointed this out to Ian before when we were looking at the tape before the show started okay so here we go so he fakes it drops back base is set here right there we go right so he's he's looking to throw and for some reason at the last second he just completely splazes feet out like that and throws across his body like that where it's there's i mean it looks cool dude looks sick but there's just no there's not a ton of reason for it on this one though he the placement was perfect right it was good so i mean there's no safety over the top of me you can put it anywhere yeah right you know he backs shoulders but there's no one on top of them yeah yeah there's not you can throw it right here right it's this this is going to come up in a more obvious way on the next one yeah on the next play it's getting his base way too wide yeah that's a thing skating by an arm talent i mean a lot of that is yeah looks awkward this you is it's like this is just so non-repeatable like as a quarterback coach what do you do because right here your base is good enough throw the ball and then he just decides to completely open up it looks cool it's kind of like uh when i take when i take jump shots in basketball i need to set my left foot first before i shoot and i can't shoot on balance if i don't do that or as well and it's almost like it's almost like he wants to take that step for balance or something and it's not a proper form loves how uf stop blitzing after helms td they did a lot of simulated kind of replacement fire zony stuff in the beginning i would have to watch with more of an eye how much they quit doing that but it did seem like the heat ended more okay i almost picked him once but that was certainly they almost picked him early in the game but that was certainly before the helm touchdown there's no way Ena's good at basketball all right did put a hundred on and out the court meet him at la fitness and you'll find out james yeah i i don't think that i have uh let me guess fundamentals player i don't think i have up and down the court uh cardio anymore at 38 it's your spot up three shooter when i when i in my in my prime which was like uh probably in college i was uh three and d i was just caught up and just weighed on the perimeter for superior back really quick on defense but here's the thing no well theoretically i guess yeah but i could get i could get hot from three so i had a couple of games where i like dominated the game but all i did was wait on the perimeter for someone better to pass me the ball and then but when you play ones and twos if you can actually hit open threes you can do real damage so i i had my moments where i where i did some uh who's a good cop for that somebody that had to watch you heating up it did happen a few times but i um the other skills of the game i did not really possess even as adam sandler baggy shorts and and cooking folks on the court no james you're a you're talking to a former jv westlight player here that's true back it up james james gonna need the the strapped-on glasses i won't almost definitely get destroyed although i do because i uh because i need this step on the left foot for balance on my shot i can actually do the dirk fade away within like 15 feet or so or maybe 18 feet i don't know yeah but that i can actually hit some turnarounds that are really hard to stop but um everything else is lacking so i imagine you imagine you can take away your one play uh it would be tricky able to rather watch oklahoma film to play basketball man eons had one of his best seasons ever Ian Abdul Jabbar been able to just deal with Ian just rained on the hook shots all right the hook shots now so great that would be a real fundamental thing dude if you could non-stoppable hook shots spinning left turn around fade away off one foot like dirk that's in the wide open free that's pretty much it hell yeah brother all right so we got home coming across the formation here we're going to end up post-wheeling again oh yeah this one what's interesting is with helm on the post right that's a slow post when again baby peter pat open up slang do it and make sure you jump while you throw it too y'all make sure you jump used to used to clown kasey for this but the the differences that kasey's throw would have like end up in the stands or unlike we would have made it to maybe the five-yard line yeah all right let's watch our number two again golden he is going to run the wheel and has the nice commentators are drawing for us right now gunner helm is going to run the post let's see if this corner takes helm again and we'll know if it's just mega yeah he he doesn't i don't think i don't i guess we'll see we'll see I mean it's really easy if they don't switch no he takes corner takes golden here yeah this is the weird thing where the corner sits flat like he thinks the safety is going to be over top and he goes into the trail technique for no reason he's expecting this safety to be over here the corner kind of looks like yeah he doesn't know what to do because he's sinking one thing and then he's like the safety's not even looking over here yeah and so we have quinn that looks off the safety right here a little bit up front gets the safety to open his hips towards the post which is good good work by quinn so he got the play fake he looks for a second see right now right now he's looking to the bottom part of the field this safety top is reading that and he's working towards the post but he has no idea he's not paying any attention to the concept that's coming his way so he has no idea what he's going to be facing is it castile again i'll have to see if it's 14 it looks like 10 let me see 10 i think it's like a sophomore well 10 might be how are their their linebackers i might just be seeing the number wrong um and then quinfos yeah the safety like or this corner like squats he thinks he has safety help he doesn't and even i mean if you have a faster safety there's some chance but not even close golden once again back shoulders it but post wheel is we're having a lot of success with post wheel yes but other teams are going to see it and that's probably going to degrade our success on it well with that attitude they also they also ran a couple versions with the running back on the wheel yeah we'll show those next got some okay and they didn't work they didn't work they did not work and it was a little bit concerning watching how they executed it yeah Texas golden again um good play once again quin thrown a touchdown but like we said golden has hands i'm really liking golden in um in the red zone i've been touched on catches yeah i'm i'm impressed with him in the red zone he's clearly becoming the red zone guy nobody there is going to get the hands on bolden corner not getting nearly deep enough depth what do you guys think Texas record is with Georgia schedule Texas playing Georgia instead of the other way around yeah Texas playing at Georgia the other way around who's Georgia play Ole Miss us i got it for you ready yeah Clemson Tennessee where'd be cleanse been where'd be Tennessee Tech at Kentucky we'll see next week we'll likely be Kentucky at Alabama uh toss up uh Auburn we'll be Auburn Mississippi State beat Mississippi State at Texas we would smash Texas Texas sucks by Florida cocktail party at Ole Miss yeah we beat Florida Ole Miss i don't know um i think we'll play Alabama for this these championships we'll see you there i i think we have more than one loss at that point what do you think uh yeah i think i think it would be hard to win all three of Bama Georgia and Ole Miss whether i don't have Texas to go two and one or one and two in that slate it would depend on where uh Quinn's injury fell right in that timeline well i think if we're going hypothetical we can't we're we're allowing Quinn to be healthy the whole time too well okay if Quinn's like that got to be healthy right so if we're playing Georgia schedule we get the situation Georgia gets in my opinion in this uh mythical world we've created Georgia has the tougher schedule i think we can yeah 100 percent but i think we do get Quinn but i still don't like i still don't think it matters i still think we drop one more at least okay not only do his deep throws not have no zip they begin to die halfway down the field yeah so it's like he here's here's a he's not trying to put zip on it yeah like true zip he's trying to arc it um so i can't judge him i have to see plays where he's really trying to throw down hill see right there that's not someone that's trying to put zip on a ball he's fade away jump ring he jumps he literally jumps as he throws it so that's not somebody trying to put zip on it but even doing that i mean the look at the ball i mean it's moving it's not a moonshot like Alabama like he has arm strength there's no question it's just he doesn't like to throw down hill it's not it's not a lot of fastball he likes to fade away and go like that across his body just whatever his preference is yeah you know and i'll hear fans are like you know when is that going to get fixed it's not going to get fixed like that's quin is quin is who quin is for texas well i mean we'll see three years later in the NFL what happens but this is what nothing's changing guys we're almost we're in november of his third year like this is this is quin this is how he plays okay here's the post-wheel concept except with um running back the running back yeah his mechanics are creating an accuracy downfield yes yeah correct yeah because these are not repeatable actions right this mechanics have created an accuracy down the field for three years yeah correct all right same concept we're going to motion uh ryan we can go in see if we got some man here too trying to take that safety as well with this corner that would be nice they can get man why they want to know if they can get man they can get the wheel out immediately ball um because see they have no they've lost their containment they've lost their force to the edge now there's no one there quin is looking at the deeper concept whatever that is let's see the post yeah it's a post but i'm soon with their running underneath too uh mesh rail yeah yeah so it in the mesh rail it would go uh the rail route the wheel and then the shallow running to the same side as the wheel and then the curl in the middle of the field and then last the shallow to the other side yeah instead instead they have that poster out so he's going post wheel and then the shallow would be like number three six two seven and then quin just laughs up here the thing i don't like here is that so like the corner takes the uh post right number one recibria and then he sees that and maybe the reaction of the safety and then he just lets the wheel route fly but it's covered if this were just mesh rail and he were looking mesh and he were looking at the wheel first he would say not open but the but the shallow is going to be wide open and then he would throw and then he would throw the shallow but because he's reading it post wheel instead he's like okay the wheel is one on one i'm going to throw it yeah so what he insane here y'all so um in the the first radio like he's saying is this rail the linebacker expands with him takes it away well with this linebacker expanding this drag right here i think it's bold and is going to be open so right here at number 11 in the middle of the field you have a route there but quin is not interested in that he basically throws an incompletion you're not completing that ball at that angle that's a weird angle maybe a receiver but a running back to make that that's tricky and the running back was not like he threw it he threw it like right here like the like like the running back is really running it and the running back is running this more like i'm covered give it to bolden i'm covered this isn't coming to me yeah which is not great but i i don't understand this but they also understand the concepts too they know where the ball's supposed to go so he's like give it to bolden man this this to me feels like another example of quin being kind of a one-read guy yeah and the and the other wheel with the running back that you can pull up next is the exact same thing let me see these comments it's not even backfoot throwing it's weird front foot hopping all arm throwing it causes the shoulder to open up too much i don't think we'll see the sarc offense we were all expecting until next year what's the offense we were all expecting like the mac jones bombs yeah bombs baby yeah that'll be next year yep which is funny to say since they're averaging 30 a game yeah this is i mean this is this can this is a scaled down sarc offense in some ways which is pretty interesting well this you're always going to change it based on your quarterback let's give quin credit also he throws the swing pass as well as anyone i've ever seen in my life he does that's not like yeah it's not everybody throws at that as good as quin does and they have awesome targets for swing passes so we'd love to see a breakdown of throwing mechanics between yours and arch arch has repeatable mechanics we did this go look up our deep dive with paul in the off season and paul gets into this um it may be two different deep dives there's one on quins mechanics throwing down the field and throwing and throwing quick i think we have one called like every arch touchdown or something like that and that's where we examine arches mechanics mmm that's the thumbnail i think it says every arch we're in the summer too but yeah we did i think it's um we were examining spring game mechanics i can't remember yeah i think that's what we were doing maybe we can uh maybe we can put them in we can find them and post them in the comments on the on the board where this where this is pinned later all right arch arch has good mechanics yeah whoops they jumped and year three when i hope as we'd see some back shoulder throws from quin that would crush on these will concepts i mean he ends up in back shoulder on a couple of these that's the only problem is that he's he's hitting back i don't think he's throwing back shoulder i think he's just hitting back shoulder correct correct because there's no safety is over the top they he yeah i i don't think we're the the lack of back shoulder throws in the texas offense is a really clear indictment of quins lack of mechanics and timing yeah the lack of repeatability in in the throwing all right so trips right what do we got here okay so we're looking at the backside here jane blue is going to run the wheel which i like better right blues a faster back so if we're going to do post-wheel i'd prefer to do it to blue personnel wise gunner helm again so i don't like gunner helm running these posts it's a i call these distracto routes they are distracto routes and they're like i love it because quin never throws the post anyway that's true have the have the slowest guy run the post yeah but i'd also like i'd like a faster guy to clear it out faster that would make the read quicker for quin but also quin's just kind of throwing this like we've seen a couple times there's not a lot of like see does that look like he's open he's no he's not open he's really so quin's just throwing it so it's like it doesn't really even matter if they clear it out he's he's reading um he's reading the corner i guess the corner follows the post so he's like wheels one on one i gotta throw it and again it's like hey you've got other concepts to work to you don't just have to fling it out there you can like work to your third read and he doesn't he doesn't do that he has time too right the pocket is like totally clean but it's showing you that like we're becoming he's becoming binary and sark was talking about that he's he's a progression offense there's one two three four but it's quin's picking a side of the field here and it's binary if this then that if this then that yeah like we said he's not throwing this ball based on him being open he's just throwing it on based on the the corner taking the post with no not even a look to the trip side and there is something coming into his vision later on right number two golden is coming on a shallow so there is something that will become into his vision if you would just hold for a second that would have been risky but the drag yeah why because of this uh mike linebacker walls up number three and then turns and then if you throw that drag you if golden were sprinting and you threw that drag you might beat that mic for a huge gain but you might also just lead golden into a bad time yeah potentially but also i don't i don't even care about the huge gain i just want to get like three yards here opposed to nothing yes and if you lead them like so like if you let them up field you're going to lead them to that mic but if you lead them on his path you know hit the mic won't get him that's why it's so good but like you said golden is not running this route golden you know jog in the route um somebody asked on one of my uh what the article wrote about this i think on monday somebody said uh it seems like the season kind of hinges on how far Quinn can take Texas and i said i think it hinges on how well sark can draw stuff up correct because as long as for three years for three years in a game in a game where sark had a bag of fresh ideas that they'd rehearsed with Quinn where it's like one reed shot play kind of deals yeah Quinn's gonna go hit it and they're gonna win if you go in there like they're against Georgia or other games where they don't have a bag of fresh tricks then they lose it it is sark uh well look at my hair man i'm crazy um i haven't even noticed that all show but i agree it's sark's ability to scheme defenses sark wins us the game yeah and so that's tough right i mean which i feel that feels a little harsh on Quinn like Quinn is Quinn is hitting a ton of throws he's protecting the ball really really well for three years he's protected the ball really well there he's a good shot he's a pretty good shot quarterback but it's not it you're limited by your play calls the abilities of your receivers to get open on the shots and it's not gonna there's there's he's gonna there's gonna be some analyst or another that's gonna shred him in a couple months when they're talking draft correct yeah yeah the NFL and i've already heard like the NFL is is pretty split there's two camps kind of there on yours so i can fix him right and then there's it's the same as it ever was there's there's two camps on every quarterback there's that we can coach it up this guy has traits he can't find other places and then there are the people that are smart exactly the NFL has this incredible arrogance to them they'll be like um i heard uh stealer said coach tomas and he he was like we only look at pedigree that's all we look at i'm like why would you only look at ability you need to understand the background you need to watch that watch them through high school and college if you could fix his mechanics easily sark would have fixed his mechanics um and then also on top of that NFL aren't waiting on quarterbacks anymore they're destroying quarterbacks repeatedly so unless you're cj shroud and you can come in and do magic what you think they're gonna give you four years to fix your feet not happening i would i would note that uh for a lot of positions with the Pittsburgh Steelers that works and they develop guys really well but they've had exactly one good quarterback in like 30 or 40 years so doesn't seem to be working so well at that position best bet is go to a franchise with an older experienced QB where you can sit yeah but that depends on where he's getting drafted right especially in a week quarterback class that we're having right now everyone's getting overdrafted and so they're going to get forced to play before they should play his fate will be like every other quarterback almost these days if he gets drafted to a shana hand system a good shana hand system then he could he could be good he could have even maybe some early success because he can throw on the move he'd have play action he'd just have a new quarter you just have a new coach drawing up stuff for a lot of starks scheme has that kind of element running through it the roll outs that kind of stuff the back screens it would just be even more of that it would be a good fit for him and he would have a chance to be a good quarterback someday like i'm gonna if there are any Texans fans in the chat it's not CJ Stroud it's the offense CJ Stroud is not the savior of Houston football it's that same shana hand system and whether they can adjust it yeah the tricky part like if you're asking Quinn to be like put in a bright young situation like Quinn doesn't handle pressure especially well so if they're lighting them up that's going to be a huge problem he's not he doesn't have repeatable throwing motion so it's like it has to be very systematic and like we're seeing Sark has to design this system around Quinn and Quinn can really shine within a system but it's not improv and hey go go win with your heart bud type stuff all right we're going super long but we're going to keep going longer we're at hour 10 but we still need to get to the playoff projections hope you guys will hang out with us for a little bit longer so we can hear some Ian takes baby Ian they were getting on you they were getting on you for your Miami pick yesterday on the live that I was doing with Paul I was uh you weren't there to defend yourself but I think your argument still holds you know what that offense or not yeah you don't want to play that offense yeah and uh seeing Miami lose I don't I don't think that was also out of your rationale either you said yeah they're a sketchy team but if they have a hot day do you want to play Miami's offense when they're hot I think the answer's still kind of no all right yeah the Georgia Tech ran Haynes king 20 times for three yards a carry they just like set on the ball the whole game you don't want to play Miami yeah all right let's look at these Texas wins the SEC in this thought process and they get a buy and are rewarded with Alabama in the first game I know that's brutal um thanks yeah I would much rather have Penn State Notre Dame Boise State can we stop with this g5 not get them out of my playoffs this is nonsense so what do you think about Indiana I literally have not watched them so anything I'd say it would be totally uneducated Indiana's quarterback is wildly underrated I do remember you saying that earlier in the season that he's a smart guy he's smart he has good footwork he gets the ball out quick he's great um the last two games they played the two Michigan schools back to back I think and they couldn't run the ball we can see there of him and he just made enough throws to beat him and they play they play great defense they have shockingly good defense at Indiana but against Alabama the talent disparity would be so massive I uh I don't know Cinderella story ends there maybe I'd need to see a little more of the Indiana passing game because Alabama's secondary is a little bit sus as the kids say so maybe but I would worry that Alabama maybe maybe you it's one of those games where you you'd be like I really think Indiana can do it and then you watch and then the first play they like double team Indiana's D line like five yards back and jail and millerow is just like running in circles out of boredom before he crosses the goal line and you're like oh no no no yeah yeah this is not gonna work they haven't played anyone right that's the knock against Indiana supposedly I've played Michigan so if they played nobody if they played nobody in either is Texas well I am in the Texas hasn't played anybody camp okay well you're safe yeah so unfortunately fans I am in that camp but so Indiana played Michigan but they also struggle Michigan right yes it was I think it was 20 to 15 okay that's interesting data because Michigan's a 500 team right now aren't they I think they are now yeah yeah and Will Johnson was out yeah well yeah that's interesting to the best corners out so yeah Indiana to me without having watched in this such an ignorant take literally the definition of ignorance but I would just go on off of that I feel like they're gonna get beat the first time they play up high quality team we'll see we'll see if I'm proved wrong I think it depends on the team uh are you uh are you buying Penn State at number four in the country they went up yes they have moved up because to Miami and Georgia went down remember that's such a joke it's crazy Penn State you get a lot of Texas's fraud allegations we have we have several frauds amongst this CFP Penn State is no I don't know Notre Dame all miss would kill Penn State Notre Dame I haven't watched them in a while but it seems like they're coasting on run game and defense I would short Notre Dame too neither anything is there anything in the new world of a disqualifying loss apparently not yeah but like can you lose to what NIU or whatever can you apparently you can yeah I mean even even the first year of the 14 playoffs Ohio State got wrecked by Virginia Tech and it was like you know not your not your Virginia Tech is at least power four it was not your uncle's Virginia Tech though and Virginia Tech played like a cover zero bare front and Barrett couldn't throw the ball against him and they shut him down and then they and then Ohio State ended up winning the whole Shabang with the conference what conference is Northern Illinois that's who they got beat by right I think they're a Mac team yeah I don't you can't lose that game I don't know what to say apparently you can but you shouldn't be able to lose that game that to me is disqualifying let's see if they beat army then let me make this let me make this academic yeah Ohio State what do you think about their run someone asked can Ward or Will Howard who you think was at Miami Ohio State well on the right day can't board beats them on the wrong day Ohio State scores too much and it doesn't matter it's just is can Ward hot and engaged that week or not and if he's not then Miami becomes pretty pretty mediocre out of Pinnox right Pinnox versus us versus Pinnox in the championship game two different quarterbacks yeah output wise output wise I don't super love that comp but I'm talking about when they were hot yeah like you they could not be destroyed and then the next week looked like a scrub yeah the difference though of course is that Michigan played them differently I don't know if playing cam or differently makes a difference it's just like yields different results he figures it out or he doesn't I don't know you think Oregon's the best team in the country it's that's very hard for me to believe Connor I keep being like I have like two like the angel on either shoulder right yeah one of them is like Stetson Bennett is a back-to-back champion and then the other one is Dylan Gabriel is going to fold like a tent when Oregon has to play in cold weather outdoor games or when he plays like a team that gets pressure in his face and man coverage and they keep going back and forth and it's like well Bennett figured it out and Bennett was okay it's like yeah but Gabriel really and I just don't I need to see I don't know I don't know I only watch them versus Ohio State so I don't really know that they're that also like the SEC is better right I don't know what it would look like if Oregon we're playing you know Ole Miss one week and then Alabama the next week and then Georgia and then Texas and then Tennessee well that's the funny part is you can see four of the top five are big 10 into a layman you'd be like well the big 10 is clearly better it's actually the opposite if you have that many players in the top right there it's meaning that you guys aren't beating each other and there's less parity and you're probably less good so it is crazy I mean great for the big 10 but they're gonna have to have their championships and so like the argument is like if you lose the SEC championship you shouldn't get punished I see that argument but for me the big 10 loser does need to get punished so it's like I can't be of like two different minds of it you know it's it's unbelievable that Georgia is out in this of course they're favored by like 10 points against Tennessee so yeah it is crazy because to say that Georgia is not a a top 12 team is silly even though they're a sketchy team besides when they play Texas and then they're elite they haven't they have an elite defense and then their offense they can have an elite defense when they played it when they max out but they they're sketchy dude I thought they played good defense against Ole Miss I thought Kiffin just had a lot in the bag for him dude I think I think Ole Miss might be the best team in the country so I was saying that yesterday dude like I think if they can I'm not surprised if Ole Miss goes on a run and wins this day if they because they like they slaughtered Arkansas and normally teams would get kind of flat after that and they came out and beat up Georgia and it wasn't just cute Kiffin scheme to like they were dominating lines there was a lot of cute scheme in it too though which you guys can read about in my sub stack later today yeah but they're still on the line of the scrimmage we're doing their job against Georgia so I know you're good but Ole Miss if Ole Miss right now man really hot and I think they could go on a run Ole Miss so hot right now I don't know I need to study them at corner back a little bit well dude especially if you're going Penn State to BYU oh yeah that's a kick walk dude that's they'll they'll be fine there they'll get into the semis Franklin will find a way to lose that game guaranteed and then BYU is just gets stomped yeah yeah they needed a lot of help versus Utah yeah how does the 11 seed have the best this is the stupidest bracket no that's what I'm saying it doesn't the whole point is the higher the seed is the better the situation you that's how you reward the regular season but they haven't rewarded the regular season here because the 11 seed gets to play a false Penn State and then BYU which was not power five two years ago if I believed that the playoff rankings committee was real and then it wasn't all just a Kabuki theater before Big Mouse tells everyone what the right answer is at the very end then I would be very concerned about this bracket and what it foretold about the eventual playoffs but I'm not because I believe that this is all fake Kabuki theater and that the TV executives tell them the right answer at the last minute so I'm not as conspiratorial as Ian but uh they uh and I have a background in film um I do think they're gonna end up picking matchups that are more beneficial I'm not that naive but I don't think it's without losses and stuff like that it's going to be a significant change to what we're seeing here um because an old miss Penn State game is a good matchup Alabama Indiana I mean you can maximize a lot of different ways here Notre Dame Tennessee is good is good ball I feel like the first round is going to be kind of mismatched that's just the nature of it because you have higher ranks playing lower ranks but like getting into the quarter finals I think should be fun because you potentially have Texas Alabama old miss BYU whatever Oregon Tennessee no but I feel like Tennessee's not even going to be that seven spots I feel like Georgia is going to beat Tennessee this week yeah anyways um and then Miami Ohio State would be a fun matchup I feel like it gets more fun I feel like the first round it's always going to be a little lopsided Ryan Nelson he and you got Kansas over BYU this week Jayland Daniels is playing much better now Ryan I don't care about the B12 that much anymore I can give you much better analysis of the flag football league I've just played in there's coached in in the big 12 and it's not even close it's funny how I switched up because like whenever I was in the big 12 I'd be like guys there's actually some good coaching going on here it's really fun yeah there's some mechanics and I was like I'm definitely going to watch the big 12 when we leave and I have barely watched it at all and I and I look at them with disdain like anytime I see them in the playoffs I'm like get out of here BYU is BYU their only playoff team right now currently yeah so they're only getting in strictly off a conference champion yes and I don't know if that's going to be BYU or not it could be Colorado right is that what everyone's murmuring about that would be incredible for television it could also be Iowa State that's pretty good would not be it's fun for television but if you could get Dion in here baby I mean it's their only school that's pulling like two million viewers as soon as prime leaves Colorado I mean the big 12 can't even pull she too the big 12 can't even pull two million it's crazy crazy they are going to be fun the moves here that are going to be interesting is Ohio State and Oregon they don't have how are they doing it they're they don't have divisions anymore on big 10 right so it would be Oregon Ohio State championship again yeah which is why they gave Oregon the nod because it's just like 31 so yeah so okay Oregon Ohio State are going to play Tennessee and Georgia I think Georgia wins that match up anybody else here starts to play Texas you think of Texas lose the A&M they get kicked out of the playoffs I have no idea there's like 30 other variables that have to everything stays constant they won't so well I'm saying the media is already setting up the here's what I'm saying our week schedule might come back to bite us here sure and you already hear the you even heard the college football playoff show they were like who's Texas best win Vandy so they're already kind of priming that they're laying that they're conditioning they always do that just to troll and so then to drum up interest in Texas versus Texas A&M if Texas is a 10 and 2 I think that they would have a very good chance and somebody asks Texas yes Texas A&M 2 would be the worst of all the 10 and 2 SEC teams okay but how many 10 and 2 SEC teams are they're going to be there could potentially be like seven yeah where there could be three or two well most likely though no like so Tennessee let's let's say you agree that Georgia's most I can be Tennessee yes okay so Tennessee is going to be a two lost team Georgia is going to be a two lost team who is not playing anyone good besides Tennessee going forward who else does Tennessee play though let's see I'll pull up the SEC calculator don't pull up calculator I'm pulling it up so I can see the matchups Tennessee just plays Georgia Utah I wonder about and then play Vandy correct so Tennessee's likely going to lose out two lost team or they or they could lose or they could lose at Vanderbilt they could but let's let's take betting favorites here and the favorites usually do win so Tennessee will be a two lost team Ole Miss would be a two lost team LSU would remain a two lost team LSU is just playing Oklahoma and Vandy Texas would be a two lost team in that situation Mississippi State has at Florida and Mississippi State at home yeah so you would have somebody's gonna you would have Bama old Miss Tennessee Georgia and potentially Texas all 10 and 2 yeah but they but you won't because somebody's gonna blow it yeah but that would change it from four four five teams to four teams that's still a huge pile up and then at that point Texas still has the weakest schedule because Texas has the weakest schedule right now of anybody yeah but four SEC teams probably get in so then they're the 11th seed and they're playing they're the 11th seed and then they get like some crappy big 10 school and round one and then they advance to play hopefully not Miami and round two and then they're and they have the golden path yeah it'll be interesting it's possible they could get left out of 10 and 2 I'm not saying it's impossible but I just think that every year we do this where we play this game and then something crazy and unexpected happens and then something else crazy and unexpected happens and then it all sorts itself out but I think the crazy unexpected thing is that the parodies existing like the crazy unexpected thing has already occurred not that it's going to occur you know what I'm saying no this situation in the first place is already trippy with this much parity honor you got the lights back on the power is back on but you forgot the velociraptors are still running loose yeah I just I don't see a lot of upsets left here like I think Tennessee meets George or Georgia beats Tennessee but that's on an upset I feel like the favorites went out I feel like there's nothing really that crazy going on here that's why I think it'll be interesting but also with the favorites winning out I think Texas will be a favorite right verse A and M and you don't even have to deal with it hold on to that Connor I mean we only got three weeks not not crazy and there's november 16th week is nonsense dude because everyone's playing their fcs there's only four there's only four games so really you only have two actual weeks of match-ups that are current it's gonna be interesting one week for content yeah exactly all right that was fun we went long today but hope you guys enjoyed it fans thank you guys for hanging out Ian thank you for your knowledge and then tomorrow guys
