AP News, I'm Ed Donoghue, for the last 30 years of his life. O.J. Simpson has had to spend some time defending himself. I was accused of a crime. I feel vindicated in the court of law. I shouldn't be calling anything but O.J. Simpson at this time. I didn't kill anybody. I could not kill anybody. His family says Simpson died of cancer. He was 76. He was a star football player at USC, and in the NFL, mostly with the Buffalo Bills. But Simpson is also remembered for his murder trial. He was acquitted of stabbing his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman. Charles Rosenberg wrote the book, The Trial of O.J. Simpson. He's going to be remembered as a person who, by many people, who was guilty but got away with it. And by other people who think that there was a police conspiracy, and it was appropriate that he was acquitted. Simpson spent nine years in prison in Nevada in an unrelated case, armed robbery involving sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas. Ipe Misuhara, the former longtime interpreter for Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Otani, is accused of racking up big gambling debts and stealing millions of dollars from Otani. Martin Estrada is the US attorney in Los Angeles. Mr. Misuhara faces a charge of bank fraud. Bank fraud carries a statutory of maximum penalty of 30 years imprisonment. But the ultimate sentence that he would receive, if convicted, would be based on the determination by the judge. Estrada says Misuhara stole more than $16 million from Otani's bank accounts to pay for his own sports betting and lied to the bank to access the account. FBI Director Chris Ray is urging Congress to pass a bill that would reauthorize a crucial national security surveillance program that was blocked by a conservative revolt. The social media company announced in a blog post that it's trying to fight sexual scams and other forms of image abuse to try and stop criminals from contacting teenagers. That includes a new nudity protection feature for direct messages that blurs any images with nudity and quote encourages people to think twice before sending nude images, unquote. The feature will be turned on by default globally for teens under 18 and adult users will get a notification encouraging people to activate it. Instagram says they'll also be testing new ways to hide teens from criminal accounts. I'm Hyappen Joani. Federal investigators say the driver of a Ford electric SUV involved in a February fatal crash in Texas was using the company's partially automated driving system before the wreck.
