Princesses symbolize grace, beauty, kindness and, of course, bravery. They inspire us with their stories of courage and resilience, but being a princess isn't just about the crowns and gowns. It's about the strength of character and the willingness to do what's right when no one is looking. On Princess Day, let's celebrate the princess inside each of us. Remember, a true princess is defined by her heart, not by her tiara. Me? A princess? Shut up! I'm really curious. I do have a tiara. I do have a tiara, but it isn't mine. It's my daughter's. I just wear it every now. They're kind of helping her remember who's the queen of the house. That's funny. I love that. This iconic mouse with his cheerful personality unmistakable attire has been bringing joy to people of all ages since his debut in 1928. His timeless charm inspires laughter, fun and a sense of adventure. So, on Mickey Mouse's birthday, let's join the global celebration. Watch a classic Mickey Mouse cartoon, or simply don the famous mouse ears for a day of fun and celebration. Don't ask. All right, I have a pair of Mickey Mouse ears somewhere in a closet. Okay, so when's the last time you wore them? You know, not that long ago. I actually get to Disney World probably once every other year and on a Disney boat occasionally. So, sometimes you just wear them because. Okay, so I'm going to go to Disneyland, you go to Disney World and let's compare. That sounds like a plan to me. All right, let's go. I'm Latoya Johnson. I'm one of the letters. Thank you for joining us on our journey to celebrate every day on Destination Celebration. Until next time, keep celebrating. Raise your hands, please, if you used to watch the Mickey Mouse show. Oh yeah, yeah, me too. Wasn't that great? That was a whole different tie back then, wasn't it? Wow. Okay, let's get current now with the birthday club for Sunday and Monday, the 17th Happy Birthday to Josh Ammons, Cheryl Yoder, Barbara Y. Tysinger, and Nick Thacker all for 17th. For the 18th, Missy Snyder in Stonewall, Debbie Moose, Rhonda Donathan in Reevesville, Mamie Michelle Hirston, and Dr. Nigel Buist. I just saw him in the grocery store the other day. All right, so that starts the week. Here we go. One more time for the 17th, Barbara Y. Tysinger, Cheryl Yoder, Nick Thacker, and Josh Ammons. And for the 18th, Mamie Michelle Hirston, we used to work together way way way back. Dr. Nigel Buist, Rhonda Donathan, Debbie Moose, and Missy Snyder. Hope it's a great birthday for you. I need to know who's celebrating birthdays for the rest of November. That would be the 19th through 30th. And I'm taking December birthdays also. You can text them to me anytime at 336-932-1881. Get in on the Birthday Club and our weekly giveaway. Let's see. I've got some big name birthdays for today as usual. Owen Wilson, 56, Linda Evans, 82, Denny Hamlin, 43, Kevin Nielin, 71. Okay, now right to today's music spotlight, we remember singer, songwriter, Scott English. He died this week in 2018. He wrote a lot of good songs and this number one hit for Barry Manilow. Bringing down his cold eyes, shadows of a man, of your face through a window, crying in the night, the night goes into morning just another day. Happy people pass my way. Looking in their eyes, I see your memory. I never realized how happy you made me old man. When you came and you gave, well I'll take it. But I set you away, old man. When you kissed me and stopped me from shaking, and I need you today, old man, dear. I'm standing on the edge of time. I walked away when love was mine, caught up in a world of uphill climate. The tears are in my mind, and nothing is rhyming, old man. When you came and you gave, well I'll take it. But I set you away, old man. When you kissed me and stopped me from shaking, and I need you today, old man. When you came and you gave, well I'll take it. But I set you away, old man. When you kissed me and stopped me from shaking, and I need you today, old man. When you kissed me and stopped me from shaking, and I need you today, old man. When you came and you gave, well I'll take it. But I set you away, old man. When you kissed me and stopped me from shaking, and I need you. Yep, that's Mandy, originally a little trivia for you here, originally titled Brandy. It was changed because the looking glass had a hit with the same name at the same time. I wish we had time for that song. I'm sorry, I'd love that song Brandy. I'm sorry, we don't have time for that today. But Scott English actually recorded Brandy before it was changed to Mandy. That is on YouTube, and I've watched that, tried to. He's not that great. A singer, honestly, a better songwriter than a singer just doesn't sound right. Just be glad Barry Manilow got that song instead of Scott English. But thank you for writing that song, it was very nice. Okay, now a PS before we finish up here this morning. First, let's see, I was working on that Eden Rescue Squad story, and I really wanted to put the founding date of that when the Eden Rescue Squad actually started, and I was unable to get that until just now. And Jason Wood, the chief, has just texted to me, so founded in 1957. Okay, so we'll add that to that story here is a little PS, and thank you. They've been around a long time. I remember grief Jones and I used to talk a lot about when he was working for us in sales a long time ago in radio, and grief was very involved. I think one of the founding members of the Eden Rescue Squad and lots of people have been involved in that over the years, so thanks to them for all the people involved in their service, all of our rescue squads and first responders for being there for us for the great job they do. Thank you so much. Okay, now a PS kind of personally speaking to our program before we finish up today. I want to take a moment right now to thank Prophet Brenda Roberts, our friend for the special recognition and meal in our honor yesterday. Another surprise Annette and I never saw coming, just like our daughter putting together that 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Wow, that was, that was wonderful. Thank you. Thank you, Laurie, and that yesterday, what a blessing for both of us. We just got that royal treatment there, so I don't feel like we deserve all of that. But thank you, Brenda, for your kind words and your friendship and your fellowship through the years, and Victoria, and Mindy, and everyone. Yeah, that was very, very unexpected, but very nice. This is going to be a short work week for us, only three days. We're taking some time off with our family for Thanksgiving and no programming next week as well, so I'll tell you a little bit more about that as we get through the next couple of days. But right now, time for today's motivational moment. Thanks to Livingstone Well to Management, Raymond James and Madison. Start each day, let's say start each week with a positive thought and a grateful heart. Certainly I'm grateful for a good friends and our family and our good advertisers. Wow, that yesterday, sorry, that was so emotional. Okay, now let me remind you as always friends. Thank you for listening again, and I hope you have a good start to the week. Happy Monday, everyone, and I remind you as always, be sure to count your blessings today. [BLANK_AUDIO]
