Look, man, it's tough, man. I mean, hey. All right, I'll never forget. It's hard out here. Hey, sometimes if you want to hear the message or you want to listen to the message and what you do with it will take you a little way or a far, or a long way. I will never forget Austin. I had-- so I played as a rookie, kind of just get in when I can. Second year, mainly special teams-- oh, let me get this right. Then I start and finish good. So next year-- so that's my-- right now, then I have won a really good year. My fourth year is when Greg Williams came in. So mind you, I had started already. But I was the linebacker that started the least. Right, so we had Sam Coward/John Hollister, Keith Newman. They had been starting for like three years, not only had been starting for equivalent just of a season. So I was the guy that-- you know, they could-- you know, they drafted Corey and Paul. Expendable. Draft-- you know, Corey Moore and all this other stuff. And Kenyatta Wright, who's the lead at Hokey alone. Man, he already-- he already gone. I love Corey. You beat. You won. No, no, no. Corey was great because they actually knew that Corey could rush the passer. So he ended up-- Mel Kuiper thought he was coming in to play linebacker. They was bringing him in to pass rush. But-- so we're about to-- we're playing Pittsburgh Steelers. Third preseason game. I was the starter, so we only played in those two previous preseason games. I only played 12 plays. Because I only-- at that time, I wasn't a third. I wasn't only a first and second down, so I wasn't playing that much. Played four plays against Eagles, eight against whoever else. Mayor Miles Argers comes up to me. This was going in the locker room before we're about to play. He said, either-- hey, he's like, hey, you either have a good game or you don't. And if you don't, I'm going to tell him to cut you. Straight up. You got 12 plays to have a good game. No, I know I was going to play that list game. Third preseason game. Oh, OK. I mean, of course, you know, you hear it and then you like-- you think it's the coach like, OK, cool, man. You know what I'm saying? No. I heard him, but I'm more listening to him because I looked at, OK, I'm listening. But I'm going to show you though. Like, I'm going to show you. I'm going to shut you up. And then when I have to do it, I'm going to tell you. I'm going to tell you about it and rest his history. Sometimes you got to be deal with friction and deal with a straight message. I was-- you know, I don't know whether they was-- it was all impending on that game or whatever. Or they-- You don't just try to spook you? Maybe. I mean, he's a young coach. He didn't know better. I mean, for whatever it is, I took it as like, OK, we'll see. If you think this dude is better than me. Isn't that the way-- But I'm going to show you. The process is that, like, knowing that you're a person who would work from that. That's not a competition, it's good. Like, not everybody is built that. Yep, switching and saving with Geico feels just like that. Get more with Geico. Well, but let me show you though, like if it comes down to an even competition, I'm willing to go against anybody. I mean, hey, Coach Osborne, I think is the greatest coach that I've ever played for, right? Happy Birthday Coach McBride, by the way. Yeah, I already got him already, you know what I mean? But so Coach Mc-- so here's an example. I started with 95. I started every single game. Beat everybody out, whether it's in production, your factor percentage, all that. But I was splitting time. So I was starting and I was playing like three series to one and then like two and two. It's kind of weird and I wanted to play the whole game. But whatever, that's fine. I didn't like it or whatever. Well, he said something in this-- he said something slick in the paper. I mean, he did. I was the new starter. I was the only one that wasn't on the black shirt poster, right? So it was slick. I know it was going-- like, you know, he said something like all jobs open. Okay, let's cool with this. Then let's go. Let's see. You hear the octave of this voice change. That's the same. Yeah. Like I could-- All right, listen. So not only did I start, I started the game off against Florida with like two or three tackles in a row, then he said something slick again in the spring, right? Because, you know, by that time I was 225 and I think Jamel might have been 195 and he's like, well, Jamel is faster. You'd like to think, you know, probably 25, 30 pounds is different. Was Jamel faster though? Yeah. He was fast. He was fast at that point. Yeah, he was fast. But then I, you know, I laid down that, you know, when I was like 231, I laid that out down that 4, 5, 3, I asked him how he like that. Then before he can answer, I'm out. Wouldn't he say that he was right in pushing and poking the bear? Yeah. Yeah. He would. Right. But what I'm saying is most kids would crumble under that. Yeah. Me, I'm going to show you. Yeah. Right. I can tell you after Florida, I was probably one. So I've, I wear size 14. So I was for sure one foot out the door. You do not wear size 14. You meet before me. Hey, listen, and then I had the other half of the foot out there as well. So I know what they're thinking that many, any time that they're like, any time that you face like a verse that that's generally your natural, like that could be initial, your natural reaction, but your main reaction after you gain some composure needs to be, I'm going to show you and I'm going to prove myself right all while in a weird way, making you look wrong. There it is. That man is not J for me. You are a size 15, stop lying to people. You are a size 15 shoe. I am after ankle surgery, generally, and I'm, and I'm going to hold on a time out. I'm going to say this and I'm going to say I'm going to give a, I'm going to give a last warning. Yeah. If I hear another person on this station talk, talk junk live about my ankles. I am. We're going to break. How do you feel when you switch to Geico and save on your car insurance?
