God says don’t touch my anointed, and don’t harm my prophets. He is a perfect judge, and he will bring your enemies to justice.
Morning Prayer with Pastor Sean Pinder
It's Over For Your Enemies
(dramatic music) - Good morning to you. I want to read something to you from 1st Samuel, chapter 30, verse eight. And David inquired at the Lord saying, shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, pursue, for thou shall surely overtake them, and without fail, recover all. This is what I want to talk about this morning. God has heard your prayers. God, we pray against every foe. We pray against every enemy that have risen up against your people that's being used in the hands of the devil to frustrate your people. We pray that you shut them down. Lord, your words as an Isaiah 41, 10, fair thou not. For I am with you, I will help you, I will strengthen you. I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And all those who were angry and incense against you should be ashamed and as a thing of none. You will look for them and will not be able to find them. Shut down our enemies, shut them down, God. Put a stop to the enemy of our souls in the name of Jesus Christ. Bring the victory in the lives of your people. Bring victory in their lives, in the name of Jesus. Somebody say, amen. On this morning, that's what I wanna talk about as we continue our series overcoming adversity. It's over for your enemies, it's over for them. You know there comes a time when God brings your enemy to an end, God knows how to stop your enemy better than anyone else. This is why he said, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay." We saw how David almost took matters in his own hands and dealing with wicked navel. And because David refrained himself such a temptation, he was so close to blowing it in that spot. He refrained himself, he listened to Abigail and God chudged navel. Well, now we about to see the end of King Saul. Every enemy has an ending saints. The Bible says now the Philistines fought against Israel. The man of Israel fled from before the Philistines and fell down slain in Mount Gilbore. And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons. Now watch this, Saul is being paid back. Remember, he was following hard after David. He had David on the run. But whatever your enemy showed, they're gonna reap. And now because he chased David and had David on the run, now he himself is having to run from the enemy. You will reap what you sow. This is why your enemies that's coming against you and trying to take you out, you may think they're getting away and they may get away for awhile. But there is coming a damn reckoning. Are you listening to me? And now it's Saul on the run. And the Philistines, this was a bittersweet victory for David. This was a bittersweet victory because the Philistines slew Jonathan and Abinadab and Melkishwa Saul sons. So David's best friend, the one who had a covenant with David. Jonathan died. This was a bittersweet victory for David. Have you ever had a bittersweet victory? Watch this. And the battle went Saul against Saul and the archers hid him. And he was Saul wounded of the archers. Then said Saul unto his armor bearer. Draw thy sword and thrust me through their way. Lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through and abuse me. But his armor bearer would not. For he was so afraid. Therefore, Saul took a sword and fell upon it. And when his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword and died with him. So Saul died and his three sons and his armor bearer and all his men that see him day together. What a sad situation Saul, who was once anointed, the mighty warrior, gave into a demon of jealousy, became disobedient to Samuel, opened himself up to the demonic, allowed the spirit of jealousy to get ahold of him and he began to chase David and wanted to kill David. And now Saul met his end. Had he stayed connected to David, had he stayed true, David would have been here to help him win this battle. But there comes a time when your enemy will have to face the music. They will have to deal with the consequences of the way they have dealt with you. And now Saul met his end. He died, God ought to bring, God ought to shut him down. David said it, David said, I'm gonna let God judge me to win us. David said one day, this man's gonna die in a battle and he's sure enough dead, he died. As though David said, as though he had not been anointed with oil, but I'm telling you, it's over for your enemies. I said, it's over for your enemies. God knows how to stop them. God knows how to shut them down. This is why you can't cave into your flesh and dealing with your enemies. And when the men of Israel, that were on the other side of the valley and they that were on the other side, Jordan saw that the men of Israel fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities and fled. And the Philistines came and dwell in them. And they came to pass on the morrow when the Philistines came to strip the slain that they found Saul and his three sons fallen in Mount Gilbore. And they cut off his head and stripped off his armor and set into the land of the Philistines round about to publish it in the house of the idols and among the people. What David did to Goliath, the Philistines did it to Saul. Touch not my anointed. And do my prophets no harm, just God will get you. Come on, sing it on me on this morning. Sing with me 'cause this is how I fight my battles. Sing it again, this is how, 'cause this is how I fight my battles. This is how I fight my battles. This is how I fight my battles. This is how, tell 'em it may look like I'm surrounded. It may look like I'm surrounded but I'm surrounded by you, my God. It may look like I'm surrounded but I'm surrounded by you 'cause this is how I fight my battles. This is how I fight my battles. This is how I fight my battles. This is how, it may look, come on. It may look like I'm surrounded but I'm surrounded by you, my God. It may look like I'm surrounded. Listen, I wanna say this. David refused two different opportunities presented itself. And the last time one of his men said, "Let me pin him to the ground with my spare." David say, "You can't touch the laws anointed. "You don't do it, let God do it." And there came a time when God allowed Saul to be put to an end. You ain't gotta do it, Saints. Don't fight your own battle. Let God do it for you. It's over for your enemies. I prophesied by the Holy Ghost, it's over for your enemies. It's over for 'em. I said it's over for 'em. Judas betrayed Jesus and what did he do? He went and hung himself. It's over for your enemies.
