Member FDIC. Big win for the Broncos, as Denver throttled the Atlanta Falcons yesterday, 38-6 at Empowerfield at Mile High. Joining us now in the KOA Comic Spirit Health Hotline voice in the Broncos, and Dave Logan, Dave, good morning. Not that we might be surprised with the win, are you surprised with the way the Broncos won and how they dominated? Good morning, guys. Yes. Yes, I am. I thought that, I mean, I certainly thought Denver could win that game, but I thought Atlanta with the offense and how productive that offense has been, both running and throwing. I mean, they've got a really balanced offense of attack, would present some issues. And I think that, I think this was the best game of the year for the Broncos on both sides of the ball. And you know what, they've got a lot of things to really be positive about and get ready for the last six game stretch. Big day for Bonex as well. What were some of the highlights we saw that we like from our rookie quarterback going forward? And what are still some of the pieces that you think we need to just iron out the kinks when it comes to our quarterback? Well, you know, Gina, I think he's really, I mean, I think it's pretty obvious. He's settled in and feels really good about what Sean and the staff have created and what they've dialed up. And when you stop and think about it, I mean, after the first two games, he had zero touchdown passes and four interceptions. And since the game two ended and the Broncos were 0-2, he's had 14 touchdown passes and two interceptions. And so he's, I mean, he's a confident young guy. He's poised. He's got great composure in the pocket. He obviously can run around, he can extend plays. And I think, no great surprise here, but I think just based on his play that he is right now, one of the two leading candidates to be the rookie of the year for the entire league. How about the defense yesterday? Coming in, that stat Atlanta runs the ball well, 140 yards on the ground. We held him to 54. What, I guess, what else can we say about this defense? Yeah. Well, I think, Marty, when you look at some of the additions we've talked about them, John Franklin, Myers, Malcolm Roach, Jordan Jackson is playing well, DJ's playing well up front. Zach Allen's having his best year, I think, in the NFL. And the interior part of the defense really does a good job and it frees up some excellent pass-rushers. Right. I think the addition to Cody Barton has been very, very positive. I think Justin Strannad, inside, taking over for Alex Singleton, has played well. You didn't even have Brandon Jones, who came over from Miami and has really solidified the back end, especially at safety. He didn't even play yesterday. So I think it's a mindset. I think it's an expectation and they've been really that for most of the year. Next up for the Broncos is a not-so-great two-and-eight Raiders team in Vegas coming up on Sunday. Dave, what can we expect when it comes up to that matchup? Well, for Denver, it's a game that you can't overlook. I think they're better than the Raiders, obviously. But the margin of air, again, for the Broncos while it has increased some during the course of the first 11 games, it's still, to me at least, thin. So you've got to go out and play, you know, play excellent football, do everything that we saw them do yesterday, and beat a team that you should find a way to beat because they not only are having an excellent sort of bounce-back season, but right now, they're in the thick of things in terms of a wildcard berth. Final question from us, Dave. Are you impressed with the way that Bonix and this team can put away, and we've talked about this all week, almost even too much, a tough loss like the Chiefs. Then, and you asked Bonix yesterday, he's already saying, "Forget this, I'm already looking ahead to Vegas and being able to move forward." Is that a sign of a level of maturity we haven't seen necessarily from a quarterback like this, but from a team in a while? I think so. I mean, I think that you know, getting the chance to get to know him, you know he's a very mature kid. He's 24 years old, he's the son of a coach, the high school coach, I mean, he's a foot ball wiper, which I think was one of the things that attracted Sean Payton and the organization to him. I mean, he can play, but he's a guy that he's everything you want in terms of getting there early and staying late and being a leader and not making things off the field too big, keeping the main thing the main thing, which is finding a way to win a game every single week. So, yeah, I've been impressed with him the more I've gotten to know him. Voice of the Broncos, it's Dave Logan. Thanks, Dave. All right, guys.
