Bronco's going to try to snap a two-game skid this Sunday. The Atlanta Falcons come to town at Empower Field at Mile High. And joining us now on the K-Wade Common Spirit Health Studio to talk more about it is Bronco's radio color analyst and host of the Rick Lewis Show, on her sister's station 1035 The Fox. It's Rick Lewis. Okay, Rick. Last time you gave Tom Muston compliment on his hair, Marty now has a new haircut. So now do we have the best hair in the studio? Or did Tom take the cake? Do you think I didn't notice that haircut, Marty? God. I mean, I like it. And I think we're certainly in the conversation for best hair and morning radio in Denver. Between the three of us. Yeah. Well, your hair is always pretty. I mean, between me and you're on point. Yeah. But yeah. Sometimes yours looks like you just rolled out of bed. Makes. Usually is. Usually. I don't want to wait until I get to the studio here, because I don't want to wait until my wife's been traveling, but I don't want to wake up people in the house with the lights that looks good. You have. Thank you. You have news anchor here. Thank you. Thank you. Falcons Broncos this Sunday. Rick, it kind of seems like both teams struggled with Mr. blocked field goals last weekend. What are we expecting? Come Sunday. Yeah. The Falcons missed three field goals last week. And then of course, the Broncos blocked field goal thing. I'm still trying to shake that one off. That was a tough one to swallow. Probably the toughest loss that any game that I've called with the Denver Broncos, which is eight seasons of some pretty bad games and pretty bad losses this week. The Falcons come in really beat up. Once again, the Broncos are playing a team that has a mass unit on the injury report. They have 16 players on the injury report, including some key guys. Looks like both starting defensive linemen are going to be out going to be playing a lot of backups in the defensive line. And keep in mind, this is a defense that's not very good to begin with. They're really good offensively. That's the strength of the football team Kirk cousins, one of the best quarterbacks in the league. They have great wide receivers, a great running back. So the Broncos defense going to have to be on their game speaking of defense, at least for the Falcons, probably their best defenders, a former Bronco Justin Simmons returning home, if you will, to Denver. I'm sure he's going to get a nice round of applause. I know that he was a fan favorite when he was here and he talked glowingly about playing for the Broncos as well. Absolutely. Yeah. Justin Simmons, one of my favorite Denver Broncos players, I'm sure he was really hard to get rid of. In fact, Sean Payton talked about that this week. And Justin, not only a great player, but just great in the community, great in the locker room. That's a guy you want on your team and he's been a good addition to that Falcons defense. He talked about how challenging it is for yourself to shake off the Chiefs loss last weekend. How are the Broncos doing it? How long are you able to dwell in it before you have to look ahead and eyeball the next game? That's a good question. You, you have 24 hours, basically. So Monday they look at the film, relive the nightmare, and then you have to put it behind you. You have to have a short memory, get ready for the next game. And I believe that's what they've done. They have a veteran coaching staff that will help them do that. And this, this young football team seems to be resilient. Remember they opened the season, Oh, and two, and they really turned things around since then. I do think they'll bounce back and listen, they have to. I'm not saying this is a must win game, but it's pretty close, but they, they really have to win this game if they want to go to the, the postseason. Okay. So the rest of the NFL is starting to see what we've seen for bone X. He was just named NFL rookie of the week because of his play last week. And when you get praise from Travis Kelsey and from Patrick Mahomes, guys that know, guys that have rings talking about how good he is or how good he could be that that. We found the right guy is just making sure the rest of the cohesion around him is good. I think there's no doubt about it at this point. He was rookie of the week. He was rookie of the month in October. He may end up being rookie of the year, the way this is going. I think he's just about caught up with Jaden Daniels. And we may be looking at the next rookie of the year. When I was in Casey, a Marty, you know, at halftime, you run to the bathroom because you got like two minutes to go to the bathroom before we know nothing about that here. And yeah, I was listening to, you know, all these old veteran Casey chiefs, media people in the restroom talking. And this was right after the first half and these guys were saying, man, this is a good club. This is a good club and man, that kid can really spin it. They were really impressed with the Broncos and with bonyx, which says a lot. I mean, these guys have been covering football for a long time and they've been covering the Super Bowl champs. And for them to say that about bonyx and the Broncos, I thought that was notable. Broncos Falcons Sunday afternoon, K away coverage will begin at eight o'clock Sunday morning with kickoff at 205 Rick before we let you go. The field is going to be looking pretty nice come Sunday too. This ownership group is amazing. You know what? I mean, they spare no expense easy to be amazing and spare no expense when you have more money than the Lord almighty. Okay. Well, that sure that's true, but they don't have to spend this, you know, and there's usually a reason why people are that wealthy, you know, they're pretty tight with money. They know they know how to manage money and spend it wisely, but they're trying to make this the, the crown jewel franchise in the NFL and this is going to be a place where free agents are going to want to come play because of what the Broncos owners did. They replaced the field again. They did it last year for one game, cost them 400 grand last year to do it for one game. That's the type of ownership we have here in Denver and quickly to no dead rockers, not anybody even on the sick list. I know you look, you were up really late last night scouring the internet looking for somebody who's even sick and on their death bed. Wow. Well, yes, so far so good today. Yeah. Good. You did exactly. All right. We'll see. Come on. Broncos color analyst, host of the Rick Lewis show on one oh three five the Fox Rick Lewis. Thank you so much as always. All right guys.
