Welcome to Fred Wing's podcast where Smashville and Hockey Town Clyde and now your hosts Rhett and Ron White and Dila Dandloff's. Welcome to Fred Wing's podcast episode 98. I spent so long and I almost forgot what number here was. Yeah, it's been nothing to blame. It has been a terrible November for the second year. What a heck of a month. And so I hear you tried to, I don't know if you were trying to put an elevator in your bathroom or you just decided to, oh dude, that was just the start of it. No, I tripped over the existing plumbing that I was just about to take out and put my foot right through the ceiling in my kitchen. So that, that was, that was pleasant and I'm just, I'm, I'm demoing and remodeling my bathroom. And yeah, that just started this whole debacle. And then I had to get some sub flooring for my bathroom floor, loading it up at home depot and I pop something in my arm. I thought I dislocated my elbow, but instead I tore my bicep and that put me out for a while. And yeah, that's, that's about it. And then I'm just traveling quite a bit for work lately too. So well, I wasn't at the court, not quite like me with my phone incident there. So I guess when you do things, you do a lot more. If I do it, I'm all in, man. Although, although I did, let me tell you, I did have only one of the worst pains I've ever felt in my life. At least what I injured myself, I do it on the ice. Yeah, this, this was bad, man. Like as soon as I like, I felt a pop, my arm just went, went limp. I couldn't move it. I couldn't move anything. My fingers wouldn't move. I mean, it was, it was a wild experience. But obviously it came to and it is so painful. Like I have shoulder issues. I would take my shoulder issues over that again. I mean, it was just, it was, it was tough. It hurt. Yeah, well, let's see, you are social media, Pradwink's podcast on Facebook, Instagram, and acts in YouTube were at Pradwink's pod. And you can also listen to follows on pod being emails at Pradwink's podcast at gmail.com. So usually, usually it's me that has that little small talk, before we had in the beer league minute. But you actually, you actually had a kind of exciting month. Although it wasn't exciting. It was not a good way. Exciting at least. I think you'd probably rather have another dull month. But so yeah, we're finally recording. It's November. We haven't had an episode this October, but no, it's what it is. So let's roll right in the beer league minutes can be really quick. So going back, we had no game on October 31st. So that's been that nice. We recorded. Probably a good thing. I wouldn't remember. I don't know. I did write it down. So, but so we're game November 7th. We actually had a decent game. We won, we won at seven to six. Although it wasn't that close. We actually had a big lead. Yeah. I mean, it was, we were in control of the whole game. It was like, they scored like two or three goals like in the last two minutes. It wasn't, I mean, it wasn't really that close. I mean, it was basically a seven, two game. Probably should have had three to six goals, but a lot of the couple will break away is just one of that kind of, that kind of a game at the end of the game. We're had way had and team kind of like things to have in the bag and it's barely cocky. And so that moving on to last week was the 14th. I just had a terrible game. It was the third fourth place team. I believe we would have won the game. We would tie them. I just I think it was like eight to four, say to five or something like that. I don't remember what to say. I know I deal up like seven or eight. It was a bad game. I just, just got to move on. We got another, another, and matter of fact, that game, that game, the team that we played that we just lost to. That's a toy different team now, but their first ever team going back to, I think it was like 2015 or whatever when they started 2016, maybe 2018. I can't remember the exact year. I was skating now at the time. It was a summer league. I actually had a hat trick against that team. I think it was the same goal way too. I'm not sure. I can't remember. It's been so long, but my only hat trick, I just want to mention that it was it. It's the team. It was their first season, the first year. Obviously, things change. It's a totally different team. They go different players. There might be a few who's the same players, but it's barely. We got a game coming up this week. We got two games left. This week, we got another top 14. Hopefully, we can bunch back and get a win. Then we have a week off for Thanksgiving. That's coming up. Then our last game is we actually play the team on week one. Our fall season is coming to a close. Just briefly, I did happen that earlier tonight. Not my team. I just saw being in that Tuesday at D minus league. I didn't do two. We lost five to one. First period kind of bad. Three goals in that first period and one second, one third. There were a couple goals. I don't know how the heck he scored it. He was at the boards. Great on top of the icing line near the corner. Somehow, he got it between me and the net. I don't know. This is D minus league. That's something you see in the NHL. Maybe not against integer goalies. I was kind of cheating away from that. I wasn't really hugging the post like I should have. But it's barely hockey. Players will tempt that shot and they'll go behind in that or go wide. Then the last goal, it hit the post and went in. It was a top shelf. I heard it hit the ding. I heard it hit the post. I was like, oh boy. I don't know how good the shots were, but the score board said 32 shots. The one, at least one, was a post hit. Not the one that went in. Five goals on 32 shots. It's probably not that good. That's all I got for the really big minute. I just had fun. I mean, it was a team and not my regular team. I guess we can just jump. We had a lot of recap. I know mine every really quick and I want to roll into another topic. We'll start with the wings. It's just been a disaster. Since we last met, the wings have gone three and six and their only wins have come against Buffalo, which they barely squeaked out. That was a two to one win and they beat Chicago, which you know, that was a good, that was a good game. They have been, they have been and they squeaked one out against a God awful Pittsburgh penguins trying to find themselves team. And yes, they've got some some players, but Crosby's getting older. Yes, he's still good. Malkin same thing. Like they've got some guys, but they're just, they haven't happened, you know, to that point had not been playing good hockey and Detroit just fell flat on their West Coast on their West Coast trip. I mean, Detroit is like dead last for their penalty kill. They cannot kill a penalty to save their life. And I'm not sure what it is, but that is costing them games. That is a huge Achilles heel for them right now. And Tange is got to get this figured out because it's just not working. And, you know, like they overtime loss, you know, just last night to San Jose. Detroit just did not look good. They didn't, they haven't looked good at all in any of their games, even their wins. They look sluggish. They're not playing, you know, just just the fundamentals, like the back check, you know, they're letting cherry pickers get open and you just, you can't do those things. I mean, this is the NHL. And I think we have to start questioning Lalonde with all this, like, yes, our power play is great. We're like third in the NHL right now. But that's the only time we can score goals. We're not producing shots. It's just, it's, it's a struggle. I mean, the games are, you know, I watch them because I want to be able to talk about them. I enjoy watching hockey. But Detroit games are so boring. There are hardly any penalties, maybe a few here or there, but nothing, nothing crazy. Like they played almost an entire period without a penalty or an entire game, rather. Yeah, there was one. There were actually, there was a couple games I was actually watching when exactly I remember which game, but I remember saying to you during the guess, like, this is a boring game. Yeah, they don't shoot. There's no goals. There's no checking. There's no fighting. I mean, it's just literally 10 guys skating around the ice. I mean, this is going on a whole other tangent there, D law, but I mean, this, this is a Batman issue. This is why people don't watch hockey. This is why people are tuning into soccer. That's why people are starting to watch women's basketball. I mean, all these sports are taking over the place and ranking of the NHL. And it's because games are boring. That P W H L. That's getting some traction. But all I'm saying is the games are boring. You don't see, you don't see the fights like you used to. I mean, even the last year, I feel like the fights are down. I'd have to look that up and see, but there's just not much physicality. There's just not much rivalry. There's not much excitement. It's just speed. But you can't even tell the speed anymore from the TV because it's just normal. So, and I know that might sound ridiculous and the guys are very talented. Like these kids are are tremendous athletes. I won't take that away from them. They're just boring to watch. They're just, they're fast. And Detroit's got, you know, it's just defensive breakdowns getting back to the red wings. You know, they just, they just cannot back check. They cannot keep guys out of the slot. They cannot clean pucks up. They are struggling so bad in the defensive zone that it's just it's killing them. I mean, it's absolutely destroying them. And I just, I don't know, have you watched many of their games at all, D law? Well, there was a couple I saw in the entire evening. There's some that the ones they played the same night as the predators, which actually lately there has been a lot of what seemed like the first period or whatever. And yeah, they just, I didn't really take notes on any of them. But I just, I just remember they just didn't seem to do not playing like I know it's a toy different team. But I remember, you know, back in the day when the wings were really good. I mean, obviously they're different players, but they just it the system. I mean, I mean, obviously this is a change with coaches, but it just when do we start? I mean, we're going to we're going to lose another coach in such a short period of time. Like, that just doesn't seem. I don't know. I don't know. I just I don't, I mean, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still ain't beautiful. And I just I don't feel like the Isaac plan is coming together like it should. I'm not. I know it's still early. I know he's only four years in I get all that. But we're starting to we're starting to see the fruits of his labor come into the NHL level. And you know, we're just not I mean, we have Marco Casper up. And instead of getting some of our other guys who yeah, they're probably not ready. But when will they be ready? We anticipated seeing, you know, a few more guys up this year. And it's just not happening. I mean, Jonathan Bergren, you know, he's he's struggling. He's not terrible, but he's just he's not producing like you would want him to. I mean, granted, the wings aren't entirely either. But Larkin's doing okay. You know, Cain's had a couple of big goals. Casper, you know, he's he could be a bright spot. He's been playing some pretty good hockey. He's got a couple goals in his last couple of games. And I think his first one came against Anaheim, then he had one last night. But he's he's starting to he's starting to break out a little bit. He got some second second line time last night, little alone shuffling things up. So I'm excited to see what he does. But he is essentially the bright spot. I mean, you are seeing some of some of these guys that I was put out there. But looking down is just I don't know. I don't know if the plan is to keep bringing in veterans that are older that we can afford and just ride this out. I mean, I feel like we're going to have to pay at some point. I don't know if that's all down the road. But looking at this D law looks like every single one of their losses, they gave up a number of power play goals. The other one I take it back was LA. That was the only game in the span that we just talked about that they did not give up a power play goal. Their penalty kill is just straight up atrocious. Terrible. Yeah. I mean, that's that's all I'm getting into for the wings. I mean, I just I really hope they can pick it up here. I mean, Detroit really, really, really needs to have a, you know, a little bit of a a life to them. They got to find a spark and just, you know, run with that momentum. You know, we get it. You're not, you're not in a Stanley Cup champion caliber team this year, but at least give the fans something to watch. I mean, if you're hell, if you're not going to score and win games, like, find somebody's little fight, bring Watson and tell them to fight everybody. He's not even one of the league's biggest tough guys, but just tell them to go at it and give us give us fans something to enjoy. I wasn't just so cute. So he does. He's been, you know what though? I'll give him this. Well, I don't like him for his off ice antics. We've already discussed that on a show probably a couple years ago. My mind has not been changed on that. I think he's a scumbag for what he did, but watching him play like he's not taking liberties on players like he had in the past. Maybe it's because he's older. Maybe it's because he can't hang in this in this league that just increasingly gets faster every year. I'm not sure, but I mean, he throws his body, but he's not being stupid about it, begins with calls. It is a young person's league and it's getting younger and younger, even though they're still older players. And I mean, but then again, you look at some of these older players that are really excelling right now on non-preters, but so I don't know. I mean, I guess, I guess this depends on the older elite versus the older like veterans like like Watson. But plain and simple, the Red Wings need to find a, you know, they got to find a way to pick it up on the penalty kill. I mean, that is literally costing them games. They could, they could potentially be winning, you know, instead of being three and six, it could have gone six and three looking at these games if they had just played better on their special teams. So that that's an area of concern that Detroit definitely needs to address. I'm not quite sure how the loaned or Iserman or Tang is going to do that, but they got to put their heads together and figure this out because I don't know if it's just the guys aren't ready. I mean, who knows, but something's got to give here and we got to stop giving up those easy, you know, I shouldn't say we, we can't kill off penalties, but we aren't killing off any, we are dead last, like we're terrible. So we got to figure out how to get, you know, get around that and start killing off some of these penalties. On the flip side, they're number third best power play. Yeah, I mean, they do. They move the puck very well on the, on the power play, but I mean, you can't just rely on power plays to win. Because I mean, look at that one game we were talking about where it went almost three periods without a penalty. Well, you need to figure out how to score when you've got a five on five scenario. So yeah, I mean, that's, that's good. I'm happy for that because that'll come in big time when Detroit starts, you know, showing that they want to be a contender of any sort. So that will help them. But for now, they just, they got to start putting pucks on net and they got to figure out how to put the puck in the net right up there along the lead as far as 30, 30 percent. And I mean, and now I mean, 30 percent power play is very elite because it's, you know, you got four teams that are above 30 percent power play. And they're all, well, there's other four or two more elite, well, I would say three would be elite even on one struggling. And I don't want to call any trade elite yet. No, they're just, they were, you know, years ago, but they're, they're still, they're still building. But it's kind of like the flip with Nashville is like their power play is struggling. I mean, they're under 10th, but it's, they're, the, the, the power play is actually getting coming around. I don't want to get too much in the predators right now. But, you know, they know the predators do have the number one penalty killing. So I mean, a lot of that has to do with the gold hunters. I mean, yeah, it does, but as far as like, because, because you see last last when you're showing it. But I mean, a lot of that is, you know, they're getting the puck out in that Latin other teams setting up. So yeah, I don't know what the, what the wings had to do to, to get their propelling killing back on track. I don't know if it's just confidence or goaltending. I haven't really watched their political very much. Yeah, they're just, they're, they're not able to, they're just not able to get the puck out. They can't, you know, they don't, they swarm the puck and they're just not, they can't clear it. They are weak on the puck. But anyway, enough of this red wings debacle. Let's talk about some Nashville predators. What do we got? Pretty much the same old, I mean, since we last, our last show, they were still bad. I mean, they were, I mean, they're still bad now, but you know, going back to the end of log October, Edmonton, that game, I mean, in that game, Edmonton played their backup, which is kind of kind of an insult, really. And I don't, I don't, I don't want to get too much to do. I mean, yeah, your starter can't play 80 games, but I mean, and they, and at that time, they did not have a bad, I mean, I could have seen if you have like a back to back, but at that time, they had like two days off before and they had like two days off after. So that was plenty of time to get their starter. You know, there was no reason not to play the starter. And they were in Nashville two days before. So yeah, I just, I don't, I don't understand that situation as far as that. But, you know, I don't know if the refs or NHL, you know, kind of colluding, you know, with getting out and because they didn't seem to, they did not call any penalties on Edmonton. And same thing goes with Colorado. And this is not just against the predators. I was going to watch the few Colorado games against our teams. And there was a lot of, a lot of calls that they did not call for Colorado. And, you know, it just, I don't want a game in particular Colorado, Philadelphia, don't want to talk about the predators. But they just, they didn't, they just weren't calling felonies against Colorado and Edmonton. I don't know if it's the NHL. It's telling them that or, or if it's a, the referees just just, they get, you know, they get certain referees. It just won't call penalties on, on teams. I don't know. But it's just, you know, turnovers for the predators. And I mentioned how boring, you know, some of the Red Wings games was that I was watching. It's just, it was kind of a boring game. It's just not the predator style. They just weren't, they, they were, they weren't fighting themselves. And it was just, it ended up being a bad loss. And then, you know, then, then they got, then they had, like I mentioned Colorado, the power play just was not very good at the time. I mean, Sam, and the OC had part-play goals in that game. Um, but Sarah, Sarah was, uh, he saved them in this game. Even though I believe they lost, uh, uh, they actually won that game. Um, but it was because of Sarah's, um, he was remarkable. And not, and he can't, they can't rely on him. Um, moving on, you know, the King's game, there's more inconsistency. It's just like from game to game, shift to shift. They're just, they were just inconsistent. Um, and, you know, they were just absolutely, and it's just like, you know, I just don't understand how they can be that bad. Like, they'll be good and they'll be bad and not just in games, but inside the game, like it, the, the shift to shift. They'll have a good shift and then all of a sudden have another, a bad shift. I mean, and yeah, they might be playing against another different line, but it's just, during these players like Sam Close and Forzberg and O'Reilly and March is so, I don't understand if they just take the shift off. I, I, I don't, I don't, I don't understand it. Um, a forward predator, Fiala, he ends up scoring for the Kings. Um, you know, in, in that game, uh, Seros was a broken record. He was their best player in this game. Um, even though, you know, that it was a loss and then the Washington game, it was just a pathetic, um, just another pathetic game. I, I want to go, you know, I'm going to jump. It has just some other games. Uh, because I, I want to really did die down there as a play in this Washington game that, uh, you know, and then, you know, then it was back to back against Florida at, at Washington at Florida between the Washington and Florida games. They had 13 penalties and, I mean, yeah, they had the number one, they got the number one penalty killing, but you're playing with fire. If you take that many penalties in two games, I mean, yeah, you might have a good penalty killing, but eventually teams are going to, you know, they're going to put, put a couple part by goals. And next, you know, your, your percentage in it, you know, you're probably going percentage will drop a lot faster than your part by presidential race. Just because it, that's just the way it works. I mean, you, you give up a part by goal or yeah, you give up a part by goal and your opponent killing goes way down. Um, so I mean, luckily, Sarah was just playing on top of his game right now. That's pretty much saving, saving their season, even though they're still at the bottom. Um, but they just didn't look, they just didn't look like, I mean, Florida was just having their way. I mean, they were just totally just totally different. I mean, the Panthers just showed, showed them what an elite team is. And I mean, they were just all over them. I mean, Utah game, they bounced back with it with a nice win. And then they, they'll after that Utah game, they go on there. Like I had mentioned a few weeks ago, they're, they're annual CMA trip and it's been pretty pathetic. I mean, three losses in a row. I mean, yeah, I created two more overtime losses, but they're still losses. They, they're starting to play a little better. Um, but at the, the Calgary game, they just, they, they got, they just couldn't score. And then they did, they did end up with, um, a Vancouver, a Vancouver, they end up with, they actually played pretty good in that game. They actually had a lead. But I don't think they actually don't even think the trail in that game. They did, they believe they did actually was my quest had a, um, in that goal. It seemed like, he, it seemed like Nyquist only scores long range in that goals. He had a chance of ending that goal, like inside our, inside the blue, inside the zone. Inside the offensive zone. And he, he missed a lot somehow, but he shoots it from his defensive zone and it goes dead center than that. So I, it's just, and I mean, that's just, you know, Nyquist, just, he, he just, I don't know, he, he, he's a master of those long range shots. I don't know if he, if he did that when he was a Detroit or not, but I just thought that was kind of funny. Yeah. I mean, he's, he's obviously lost a little pep in the step, but yeah, he's always been a pretty decent support player. He's been able to, he's a smart player. He's easy. I mean, when you, I assume he was really good when he was younger. I mean, you know, fast, everything, but I assume, you know, a smart player isn't just going to, I mean, maybe, maybe over the years, you'll get smarter, but I'm thinking he's the type of player that's was smart even when he was younger. So yeah, but he just, he makes smart plays and, and that's what you need with that veteran. But yeah, there was, but go, but go kind of backtracking a little bit and I kind of want to, I kind of want to leave this at the end because I kind of want to roll into the, into this topic. There was a, a goal review challenge in the Washington game for goalie interference. And if I can remember exactly what happened, kind of refresh my memory, because it's been a while ago, I believe it should not have been a review or not. It shouldn't, it shouldn't have been goalie interference. This was in Washington. I don't remember, I think it was Forestburg. Looking at the video, he was pushed in to the goaltender. And I was watching from a couple different videos or angles and they called it interference, but it looked to me like he was pushed in by one of Washington players. Rule 69 of the NHL rulebook for goaltender interference. It states, goal should be disallowed only if an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact in pairs of goal to the ability to move freely with this crease or defender. A technical player initiates intentional delivery contract, which in this case, it was I think from the video, it sure looked like it was pushed in by the app of the team. And it also states that contact for purposes, rule of contact says incidental or otherwise, shall mean any contact as made between or among a goal keeper and attacking player, whether that means of a stick or part of the body. Now it says, it also says here, if an attacking player has been pushed, shoved or followed by a defending player, which to me would be the Washington player. So as a cousin to come into contact with the goal keeper, such contact will be will not be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player provided the tech players made a reasonable effort to avoid such contract, which he in my watch in this video, it didn't look like he was even going to the net. I mean, he was going to the net, but it didn't look like he was actually going to go into the goaltender if he wanted to have pushed. And it also says if a defending player has been pushed, shoved or followed by an attacking player, in this case, he was. So as the cause of defending player to come into contact with his own goal keeper, such contract such context shall be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player, no penalty. Obviously, no assessing this towards no penalty. And a goal is scored would be disallowed. I just don't understand how they can call that interference. I'm not sure how it's going interference. I'd have to see it again, because if you're pushed into him, that's not your fault. And they don't usually call that. And I've seen it. I've seen it in other other games. And it's like the calls, the call goal or the, and it's like, I mean, I can't understand if the goal, if the player initiates contact, yes. But there's been situations where it looks like the other, like he was pushed into them or knocked into them. And in some cases, they'll call a goal. In some cases, they won't call it a goal. And it's like, I mean, if the rules stated right there and you got the video evidence, how can you have a couple of different, like, it's, it's to me, I mean, obviously, it's not black and white, because they're every situation is different. But I mean, you're either pushed or you're not pushed. Right. And there's the video evidence should clearly show that you either pushed it now. Now, I don't know. I mean, you could argue if he was really if he was pushed hard or soft or I mean, I guess it doesn't really matter. As far as how hard or soft you push him in the goaltender, it's still the put you still push him in there. I mean, I just don't understand. It seems to me inconsistent. I mean, obviously, you're going to different rest, but they do have it. Most of the time, the reviews will go to Toronto or the goal to goal situation room. It's usually the same people I think. So I just don't understand. I'm just kind of flustered it as far as it's inconsistent to me. And I don't understand why. I mean, I mean, we just have to monitor it. We got to see because that's the only instance that I've seen of it. So we just got to keep an eye and see if it is consistent and not consistent. I've seen it in a couple of games, but I didn't really mark it down, but I mean, it's just, yeah, I don't understand. But you know, it's just, you know, the predators, they're starting to play better. Basically, I guess I just want to get out of the recaps. The first part of my recaps, you know, they were so struggling and they just not playing well. I mean, yeah, they're losing games, but at least most of those games that they lose other than the Florida and Washington games or the Edmonton game, they're actually playing good. I mean, they're getting, they're getting leads and they've actually had, they've actually had, you know, two nothing leads at time. A lot of different times I saw in the last game and I didn't write it down. It was something like eight or nine games they've trailed two to nothing. And I mean, you can't, they are getting better at that, but they just, I mean, they're still in last place. And I mean, maybe, maybe if they can put together a win streak coming up, this road trip is almost over. They got one more game on the road trip in Seattle, which kind of a struggling team right now. So maybe they can build on that win against Vancouver and then, you know, then they return home to play Winnipeg coming up on Saturday. So, they do have a couple of games up before that. So, you know, and then they're going to have some home games coming up, you know, and they do, they do have some road games, but, you know, get this five game, six game road trip out of the way, you know, they're going to start have some home games, you know, maybe they can start putting some wins together. Maybe this road trip, you know, got the team together. Stan Gross had a couple of nice power play goals against Vancouver. So it's nice to see him, you know, their power play is starting to click. And got interesting thing. Yeah, I'm kind of looking back on it. I'm kind of kind of upset that they did not sign lanking in, but they didn't sign in because of the deal with Sarah's. They added to the game. I mean, in his age, the gold titles are getting a lot of money now. And, and, and yes, Sarah, he is, he, he's played a lot of games, a lot of, you know, he's cut the president a lot of these games, even losses. He was a couple losses. He was their best player in my opinion, even though he lost. But lanking in goes to Vancouver. And he, that's what he wanted. He, when he left for a phrase he wanted a chance to be a starter. And I mean, you can't fault him. That's everybody wants to be. Every goalie wants to be a starter in NHL. I mean, obviously, dumb goes injured, probably for another month or so, they're saying, but lanking and actually leading in goes against. And he, he actually, he was playing in that, obviously he's a starter for Vancouver right now, but dumb go out. So he, he faced Sarah's and the president managed to get four goals against them because one was didn't do that. So they, they, I mean, it was nice to see. I mean, there's a, I think, uh, three part two, at least two part big goals. Same cause they had two part big goals in the game. There might have been a third, I think, uh, YOC or Forestburg, and they're probably goal, but, um, so it was just kind of nice to see him actually be the former team, former goalie because usually, usually when the predators face the former goalie, they usually can't even score a goal. Like, like with, um, Connor Ingram in Utah, they, they usually can't score it. They usually, usually can't score in him. Although they did, uh, they, they did, uh, this past time when they play Utah at home. But, um, I also forget too much on the previous show, uh, Stan Coase before, before my recap, this was the last show, uh, back on October 28th. He was the one that predator, predators, busy at Tampa Bay. Um, that was his first regular season game in, in, in Tampa Bay had honored him, and I, I, I totally slipped my mind. I forgot to mention that. So, I mean, obviously, that happens. So, I mean, it was nice to see. And, you know, they had the, um, the NHL had the Hall of Fame, uh, induction, uh, Poyle and Weber were one. And I believe, uh, Detroit had somebody go into, like, I think, and, um, there was a couple of women, uh, um, at least, at least one, um, the women, women's haiku player that was inducted. So, um, it was nice to see Poyle and Weber, uh, actually get inducted, uh, for the predators. Um, so that, that's all I have. Oh, yeah. Um, I know going back, I don't know if you wanted to mention this or not, uh, Detroit sent, uh, Hoemata to Utah. This is going back. Um, send them packing. Yeah. That was what land of October that it was. Yeah. Um, but he is, yeah, I've watched a couple of Utah games and he's, that might be a good fit. I don't know how it's going to go for Detroit, uh, because he just got detro front of draft, but I mean, I don't know. Okay. You know what I, you know, thinking about something else, you know, who, who I would love to see behind the bench of the Red Wings, who's had a pretty successful career coaching himself, Sergey Federoff. I think that would be an interesting, somebody had mentioned that and I had read about it. I, I've been thinking about this for about a day and a half since I read it. And it just makes sense. I mean, you have Lidstrom back in the, in the front office. I mean, Draper Maltby, um, I mean, it would just make sense to bring Federoff and he's got a pretty successful career. I mean, I think he won a couple of championships in the KHL or back-to-back finalists or something like that. And this year he fell short and they cut his contract. So I mean, it's just the timing could be perfect. I don't know. It'd be interesting. I think it'd be cool. I think he's a good coach and I think maybe he could give them something that they, they need in the locker room. I don't know. Well, I don't know. I don't think it's getting to that point where they need or they turn into further coach. Maybe, maybe watch the other games like maybe a couple, maybe a couple months if things don't do it. I mean, I don't think so now that Montgomery's gone, I think that just opens the door to do it sooner. Yeah, I was excited. The Bruins just fired their coach. I mean, Columbus, you know, they had a bad loss against Columbus yesterday. I don't know if that's leading up to it, but I just want to say Columbus got acquired. I mean, yeah, we always, yeah, we say that just because there's last scene to beat him. Um, you know, Columbus is in last division. I mean, Boston. I mean, they're not their fourth. I mean, they're not really at all that bad. I mean, they're only two points. Grand Tampa Bay. I mean, and so, I mean, I, but I have watched a couple Boston games here and there and they didn't look all that good. I mean, and Joe Sacco was, I think he was just, I think he's just an internal. I think he was an assistant coach under my memory. If I believe or, or I think so, I don't, I don't know if he's, I think, I think they just labeled an interim. I don't know if they actually replaced them. You've got, I haven't really seen it yet. Too much into this. I just want to mention Seattle, you know, they're kind of struggling, but they're the goalie. I don't remember what, um, who they're playing. Uh, I don't remember who they're playing now. Um, but they, they go, the goalie covered a puck and, oh, as a cousin. So whoever he couldn't get cousins playing for. Is there Florida? Who over Nick? Yeah. Yeah. He, he the goalie, the goal had it covered and cousins. I mean, he plays out style, which, I mean, and he did that in Nashville and I liked it. And he, yeah, I mean, I, yeah, that's what you want to do. But the goal had to cover and he just kept jamming a stick and, and it didn't, I can't believe the whistle. He didn't, I didn't, I can't lose. And then they have a score. And they did challenge the goal, but they did counter the goal. But I mean, I don't want to know what a whistle was, but I mean, I guess that some referees will let him play. I mean, yeah, I mean, what do you got to do? I mean, as a goalie, and I'm going to covered and somebody's coming in jabbing me. I don't like that. I mean, yeah, where was the sale defense to get cousins out of there? I mean, if it was that bad, then the refs would have blown the whistle. Yeah, I guess. I always play to the whistle always. And, um, you know, Minnesota has been playing really well, you know, but, you know, L.A. came in, they, the Minnesota, actually, they, they were, Minnesota was playing really well at home. They had not lost at home before L.A. did. I think this was a couple weeks ago, actually. Um, so, um, it really had been what really, I haven't really been paying attention to Minnesota. Uh, but, you know, um, there is a game. Um, and, and this kind of goes back to the Washington. Yeah, I don't think it was go to interference. Um, but it was, there was a goal review in the, in a Colorado Seattle game. I didn't think it was actually the goal of this one goal. It was, they called, they had two reviews on it. I thought you call it a review at once. The one, you don't know anything about that. One was reversed and one was called a goal. Now they reviewed it. I don't remember what the initial call was. But they reviewed it and they reversed it. And then they reviewed it again. I don't, maybe it was a challenge. I don't know, but I didn't think you could do that. And then they call it a goal. And as they call it, I end up winning that game. But I just thought that was kind of, kind of weird that they reviewed it twice. I didn't think you could do that. But it is what it is. I mean, yeah, Colorado, they don't, they started, they started as best as predators and they flipped it around. So maybe the predators can just, you know, maybe they can find their stride. Um, but there is another game. Um, you know, San Jose, as bad as they are, I know they just beat. It was an overtime though. Detroit did get a point. So, um, but Columbus had 51 shots on goal, 51 shots on goal and San Jose won the game in overtime, two to one. So that goalie, I mean, 50 saves, 50 saves for that goal. Yeah, that's astounding. So, um, but that game in overtime, I mean, it was just, I mean, and I know of previous, previous years, I would complain about the three and three overtime and seeing, you know, this, but that overtime was very exciting. I mean, it was just, and then I don't think there was, there's maybe a couple whistles. It was just constant action. I mean, it was just, it was just exciting. You know, we're so exciting, even the end of their period, but especially the overtime. Um, but, you know, I, you know, I, I know I had mentioned previously on our show is that, you know, how, how I didn't like the overtime and, you know, I still, I still don't like, I don't like the format as far as the points, because it takes away the third, the late, late in the third period, especially was tied because teams know they're going to get a point so they kind of play safe. I want to see them, you know, I don't know the answer. I want to see that the end of the third period, like they want to go for it. You know, and get that. You always see that more in division games and especially in the season where they don't want their team to get points because, you know, the extra points so they're going to try to go hard and take that point away from them. So, I don't, you know, I guess, I don't know, maybe teams just need to not sit back. You know, maybe that's more of a coaching thing and I don't know that they seem to play safe, kind of like kind of like football away. But I tried to play their game all game long. Um, and then there was, um, but there was a couple scary instances. I mean, he is, he did come back. He was hit. Hit with a puck. Oh, yeah, I saw that. They actually left the, he got hit with a puck. And then he wants to bench. And then they ended up taking off on a stretcher. I didn't actually see wasn't actually watching the game, but I was watching another network and they showed it. They didn't show how we got hit. Um, and then the, another one of referee. Um, I didn't see this one. No, that was in the car. I thought off the game. He collided with Josh Manson. I don't know how Manson didn't see him. I mean, I'm not saying really not see him. I didn't see the video how they collided. So I can't skate right up behind him and almost like checked him. But the puck was down deep. Was that the blue line? I mean, I don't know. I mean, it's a fast game. I'm sure it wasn't intentional because he went up in small deep times. They did. They did in a penalty to referee office. So that's two in the last week that had to leave the game and such and don't. I don't want to see that. But I think obviously how he's played since then. So that's a good thing. And I believe the referee. I don't think he's skating yet, but I think he's doing a lot better. Um, as far as the injuries, you know, the last show. Worked. We had mentioned McDade was got injured and he was out against that. The first Edmonton game. Yeah, he's out. Two to three. He was, but he was he came back. So that he's been skating lately. Well, he's actually he's actually played. Oh, did he? Okay. And it showed me to look like he had a great game. We had a goal in the SES minus three 24 minutes. So I wouldn't exactly call that great. He would know the NHL app. The NHL was saying, I'll agree. He said he shined. I mean, 2.9 is always, but he had three points. He had three points in the against the oil. The senators. Okay. But, um, so yeah, he's he was out for a couple of weeks. He was out against the Edmonton. Yeah, the predators game in Nashville. He was even in Nashville for that trip. Um, but he did. I think he had a goal in the game. But yeah, like when the press played at Edmonton. So he's back and firing on all cylinders. No, he's out now. No, he's he's day to day. Um, I don't know if he's playing. He could return next week. Um, but a batch can, he's actually leading. He's really, he's really lightening up. Um, so he's, he's actually leading leading with 15 leading us lead with 15 goals. Yeah. So he's got 868 career goals are in now. So he's like 26. So he probably, if he keeps this pace, he's not only 26. He's much older than that. No, it's 26 goals. That's what I was getting at. Yeah. Uh, 26 to tie. Um, but the only thing is he's right now. He's got a leg injury. Happened the other game. The other day, he did score that game. Um, but so he's week to week. So hopefully he can keep that pace up. Um, and he is leading record. He is leading the league with 15 goals right now. Yeah. I think you can do it. I think that's all the injuries that I've seen so far. Oh, the big ones. We were touched on Montgomery getting fired. Um, you know, I don't know how many more of a suspension. So I'm only one I've seen. Uh, I know how much you and you know, was a pass in that LA natural game. And I just remember. They kind of upsets me, man. He plays on the edge, but yeah, I don't know. I mean, I would like to see him in the show, but they got other players. So I don't know. Maybe he's going to move on, but he was suspended three games for an illegal check that I had. Uh, I don't remember who play who it was against. Um, and he had no, no prior history was suspensions, which, and he plays on the edge like that. He was fine once once. Um, yeah, I think when he was a preachers, but and they don't. And, uh, so that's, I think that's all the, how the fines, res suspended five games for a check to the head. Yeah, I don't know what happened Saturday. He's a big guy. Well, five games. So nice to see that he's starting to give some lengthy because he's, he's had a history to. I don't know. I don't know if Nurse got injured in that play. Let's see. Oh, it's, uh, the, you know, the, you know, it was against Vancouver's. Besser as I see any besser. So that was, that was on the seventh. No, number seven. He was, he was. He did get a match penalty. Reeves had did end up with a match penalty in that game too. There's a check to the head. Um, but as it gets all the, all the fines that I didn't talk about. Uh, Neil John. Oh, yeah. Okay. Did he get suspended? He did. For clipping. Oh, fine. The fine for, okay. For clip, for when he clips. Okay, he must not be, must not have any, uh, any, um, history. So that's all the fines and suspensions. Um, they're other than the trade, the only mud a trade that we just talked about yet. San Jose got Timothy little Jigren from Toronto for Matt Benning and the third run pick and the sixth on pick and that's actually that turned out. I'm not so much for Toronto, but it's really paid dividends. San Jose. I mean, little Jigren has been playing really well for San Jose. Not sure what he did with Detroit, but I mean, this, I mean, and not saying as far as points, but as far as defense. Um, yeah, I think that's what certainly needs to, you know, he's a steady defenseman. That could be a huge, huge pick for a huge pick up for for San Jose. Um, I believe, um, career is still a GM with San Jose. That could be a huge, huge trade for that that he made for that. Just briefly, the spread brings 10. Um, it's kind of the same for me. Um, I know when Florida just had a huge statement when it gets Winnipeg, find nothing but then Winnipeg just came back and beat him six or two. But I got Winnipeg one, Florida, and then I got Washington three just because they were, they've been red hat riding, you know, Vashkin, Carolina, they had that seven game one streak. Actually, I think they had a nine. I think it ended up being like a eight or nine for Colorado beat him. And then Colorado five New Jersey, they're still sitting pretty good Vancouver Minnesota, the Kings and Tampa Bay. And of course, I mean, it's not surprise. I got Utah, drop it out and then Vegas and Dallas dropping out. I think it seems to be a mess Dallas. I mean, they're still a good team. I, I just, I just not sure what's going on with Dallas. I mean, they're sent third in the division. But as far as Vegas, I mean, yeah, they're still first in the Pacific, but I mean, the guy in Calgary right behind them and admitted. But I mean, they've, they've lost some games that they probably should have won. I had Washington at number two, but with, of Vashkin going down. I, I think I'm going to have to bump them down a little bit. I think I'm going to have to go Winnipeg Carolina Washington. I'm sorry, Winnipeg Carolina, Minnesota. Probably throw Florida in the mix. Throw Washington in there. Probably Vegas, New York, Toronto, Rangers, that is. And I'm probably the Kings. The Kings are playing some pretty good hockey right now. Yeah, I just felt that, I mean, float overall. I mean, before they just lost in Winnipeg, which I mean, Winnipeg, I mean, granted, you're probably not going to beat them twice. Um, and, and that showed a lot of time, especially after knocking them flat and they bought, find nothing. You know, Winnipeg had a little chip on their shoulder and wanted to show the Florida, they're still good. But, you know, Florida's, they're showing their, they're defending champions and. That's why I, you know, they're, that's why I cut down at number two. And, you know, I had to keep Colorado in five, even though they just, their start is just, I mean, they started all in five and, I mean, we tend not 20 games in now, but just really quick. Um, before we get into our weekly picks. Um, the end rules. I don't want, I'm not going to spend too much time. They're sitting at nine, three on one. They just had, and it really haven't been paid pay attention to walk lately. They've been kind of busy, but they just, they dropped one last weekend at home to the griffins for a two. I'm going to see you's back on the griffins, by the way. Oh, I throw that out there. Okay. Hey, yeah. And as far as I know about the griffins. Let's see. Well, they lost the Milwaukee also lost him back in October. So. They haven't been able to beat him yet. This year, we'll see what happens. I mean, the Milwaukee is 71 on the road. So they need to get their homes, homes figured out. So, you know, they're, they're, they're winning on the road. So that's, that's a good, the good sign, but heading into our picks. So, let's see, going back to where we really love the 30th for the predators. Let's see. I was, you actually got the Edmonton one correct, the national Edmonton one correct and I was wrong. And then you have got the car. I was wrong. And I was wrong. Three in a row Colorado L.A. And you were correct and Colorado about wrong on the L.A. So we both got the king's presence. One wrong. And then what did I get a little streak here. I got one, two, three, five in a row. Right. Washington, Florida, Utah. Colorado Edmonton. I got that one. They're all them right and you got them all wrong except for Florida. And then the Calgary, I was wrong. You were right. And then Vancouver, I was right in your wrong. And then on the, on the Detroit side, was it Winnipeg? Winnipeg Buffalo. I was wrong. You're right. And then we're both right on Chicago Toronto. I was right. You're wrong. And then we're both right on Rangers and Pittsburgh. And then we're both wrong. And then the Kings were both right. And then the San Jose were both wrong. Right. I wouldn't, I would not ever get. I would not have thought they would lose the San Jose. I mean, yeah, it was in San Jose, but. And I'm going for the next upcoming games here, the Islanders on the 21st. I'm going with a win. Boston. I'm going with a loss. And the Islanders again, I'm going with a win. If we get up to Calgary, 27th, a little street here. 27th, this is a day before Thanksgiving. And they are, they're a home to site to predators. So. Before we switch over to the private side, I'm going to say a loss. The Islanders. They're not playing that bad. The Islanders are there. They do tend to be inconsistent. But it isn't Detroit though. Boston, they're kind of a mess, even though they just, but they just got new coach. So they might spark a win. They might spark Boston to win, but I'm going to go with a win for Detroit. And then they got at the Islanders again. Gee. Is that a division game? They seem to play them a lot. So I'm going to say a win at New York. And then the categories, the day before Thanksgiving, I'm going to say that a loss. So I'm going to see it, I'm moving to the predators. They got one more road game trip on this CMA trip, which CMA is coming up and actually in the same day as they play Seattle. I'm going with a win. And they got Winnipeg back home Saturday. I'm going to call out a loss. And then they got New Jersey at New Jersey. I'm going to go with a loss. And then the day before Thanksgiving is fed off, I'm going with a win. And hopefully we should hopefully will be able to record again next week. I got nothing going on next week. Rolling into the Thanksgiving holiday. So what do you, what, what about your friends? I'm going for the preds. I'm going to go Seattle loss Winnipeg loss, New Jersey loss in a Pittsburgh win. You know, I was much faith in the present. The way you do. Yeah. No, I just think that the preds have made a turn and the red wings need to put your count through at a four losses. I do. I think they're going to regress in this little stretch because they're playing some very difficult teams. So yeah, I do have three losses and then you're not changing my mind. And then I got two out of four. So, so I mean, you're right there. I don't see at all. It's going to be the Seattle game. Seattle. I mean, they're coming off that one against Vancouver. I mean, Seattle. I mean, they're playing kind of funny, but I just think. I just think the preds will find a way. I just, I just had that feeling. They'll find a way to beat them. That's all we got for this coming week. Hopefully, we won't go another month of with any shows. I don't know if I can start one piece. Our one other episode is coming up fast to get some clips caught for them. So we'll be playing some some clips from our previous month, like season one and season two. So kind of looking back on our first 100 episodes. Well, we'll stay tuned and we'll hear some pretty pretty interesting things. Things that we kind of maybe forgot, you know, but to get back into the indoor prior season one season two stuff. So that's the bottle I got for tonight. Yeah, me too.
