AP News, I'm Kappan Joani. All in the sit down with President Joe Biden, the leader of Iraq, traveled for a meeting through to Michigan, with the state's large Iraqi community. AP correspondent Norman Hall reports. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani's trip to both Washington and Michigan had been planned well before current escalated media extensions. Michigan has one of the largest population of Iraqis in the nation, and many local Democrats have pushed back against U.S. support for Israel's war in Gaza following the Hamas attack on October 7. Michigan has the largest concentration of Arab Americans in the country. I'm Norman Hall. Iran has fired air defense batteries across several provinces after reports of explosions near the city of Istahan. AP correspondent Ben Thomas has more. That word from the state-run news agency. One government official suggests science may have been targeted by drones. The Israeli military did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Iran also grounded commercial flights in Tehran and across areas of its western and central regions. The reports come amid high tensions following Iran's unprecedented missile and drone attack on Israel. Istahan is home to a major airbase for Iran's military, as well as sites associated with its nuclear program. I'm Ben Thomas. Speaking to reporters following jury selection at his criminal trial for his Hushmani case, former President Donald Trump says the trial lacks credibility. The whole world is watching this hummus. You've got a DA that's out of control. You have a judge that's highly conflicted. The whole thing is a mess, and you have the leading candidate and the leading group that you'll buy by a lot. He's the one that should be in trial. He's a crook. You've got a crooked precedent. Trump faces 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. He could get up to four years in prison if convicted, though it's not clear that the judge would opt to put him behind bars. This is AP News. The United States vetoed a widely backed UN resolution yesterday that would have paved the way for a full United Nations membership for the state of Palestine. David Mian, the man who blew the lid off decades of abuse allegations at what was then called the Youth Development Center in New Hampshire, became emotional as the trial continues in the first case to be filed. Mian says that the real turning point was the first of many assaults by his youth counselor. I'm forced to try to hold myself together somehow and show, as a man, everything that these people did to this little boy. In the seven years since David Mian went to police, the state has set up a $100 million for fund, for former residents and brought criminal charges against 11 former state workers, including four accused of abusing Mian. I'm Lisa Dwyer. I'm Haya Punjwani, AP News.
