You're not even in town this weekend. What kind of invite is that? Oh, what? You guys want to come? Is it like fate? No, it's not made. What? Is it for this weekend? It's actually next weekend. Next Friday. But you guys are in here. You guys are another 10. Where are we going? To Salt Lake. No, we're leaving on Saturday. This Saturday? Yes. Saturday morning. I have five in the morning, Eddie. Oh, this Saturday? No, no, no. So, tomorrow's Friday. Is your event tomorrow? No. Okay. So, this weekend, I'm going to a wedding in Dallas. But that's just the wife you and I. This weekend. But the next weekend. The next weekend, we got to go. Eddie and I are going to Salt Lake City for an event. I'm going to a Friday night. I'm going to a party. How do you know? Maybe I do want to go this with Larme and then be all tore up the next day in Salt Lake City. No, it's with Tilo the Musica. What is it? Is it rock? No, it's kind of like it's reggae country. Loki is a song that boy. I'm supposed to be in Chile. Rion. Me too. Oh, sure. My bad. Yeah. I mean, it's me. Me too. We'll show it to me. Don't say nothing. What the hell cares. I'm trying to recreate or just mutual is the only one who was down in Palab and the song of the artist that I'm going to go seeing is the song that boy didn't get into me from Hawaii. So, that's so cute. What the hell? So, I have to replace the bottle. Anyways, but the code works. Fun. Twenty dollars off. There you go on a segue. All right. Speaking of a prima van. We tried a little experiment with you and for those of you that have a difficult time getting it up. I mean, getting up. That was a show boy's own mind slipping. Getting up in the morning and you hit the snooze button on your alarm like five to six times como prima van. We told prima van that that's actually more like torture and it makes you more tired because you're tricking your body into thinking that you're going back to sleeping. You're not every five minutes. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. It's the alarm. So, prima van. We asked you to try it this morning. Yeah. That when your alarm went off to just get up. Yeah. As soon as you hear it. Normally, what time is your alarm? The first one? It's like three, ten. Three, ten in the morning. Three, ten in the morning. Okay. And then you hit the snooze button every five minutes. So, six times for 30 minutes. Yes. So, today, what time did you set the first alarm? I kept it at three, ten. Three, ten. Yes. But instead of hitting snooze, que se state, y que paso. I didn't hit snooze. I did lay in my bed for a little bit, but then I was like, okay, let me pray. I was just kind of like, and I have, I don't have my title on the alarm and says, "Chase your dreams, look out." Oh. So, I kind of read that and I'm just like, okay. Chase your dreams, that's stupid. Chase your dreams, but it's not just kidding. So, I just kind of was in bed. I laid there for a little bit. I didn't hit snooze, though. Prima van is like, "Let me go chase my dreams back to sleep." Yeah. I'm on my dreams to go to sleep. No, I'm just gonna, but yeah. And then I, I just got up. I was, I was gonna just, like, because I have other alarm sets. I was just gonna not hit snooze and just wait for my second alarm to get up, but then I'm like, okay, girl, get up. Like, if you want things to change, you have to do, like, make changes or make the changes, little, little changes that it'll create bigger things. That's powerful right there. If you want things to change, then you gotta change yourself. Like, it's, things don't change your life just to change. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? You gotta make the effort for behavior change. And how did you feel? Oh, tired a little bit. Oh, you're struggling, you said no? Yeah, I was struggling a little bit, but I do know, like, I, I technically don't need that much time to get ready in the morning, but I feel like I get, I get up just because, again, like, I, which I shared in yesterday's podcast that I work a lot. I have a lot of, I do a lot. Yeah. So I feel that that's kind of like my me time where I'm just like chilling and, or I don't know if I shared it in the podcast, but I think I just was talking to you about it your way. But I, it's just, I kind of just like chill, you know, right when you wake up in the morning, it's like time where it's quiet and sunny. Or even like, I'll go, I'll jump in the shower, but then I'm like, chill in in bed, scrolling, or literally doing nothing, because I do a lot of stuff. Yeah, because you're constantly always doing something. Right. Cool. So do you think you're going to continue this way? Because today you were actually pretty early to work. Yeah, you were. I know. And we appreciate that. Things that you weren't rushing in last minute. And like, and I think actually, because you were even early, you got here earlier than you're supposed to. So I think you can even sleep a little bit longer. So you think that visit, that is, yes, put it to like halfway to the 30 minutes that usually hit the snooze. So maybe like 325 and then get up right there. No, that's, I'd rather just get up at three. Cool. Do you think you're going to continue doing it or not? Yeah, because I want to better myself. So, and that's just being on time and respecting people's time. That's, you know, a good quality to have. And I feel like that's a quality that I definitely can work on for myself. I mean, but I'm Latina. So Latina time, you know, great time. But I am, I am working on it. So I, I hope that y'all saw it. We definitely saw it. You actually walked in and said, don't make a big deal about it. And I was like, don't make a big deal. Okay. That's what you say. Don't make a big deal for 10, it's 550. Because my jaw dropped. I know. You got your hand early, like super early. Yeah. And I didn't really, I didn't, and yeah, thank you. I appreciate you guys too. We're, we're making the work. Even if say I come in and if I'm doing my makeup, like compromise is okay, we're going to, you're going to have to make it work. Yeah. Sometimes it takes me a while to do my makeup too. So Eddie, do you hit the snooze? No, I don't. I try to go up, get up the first time. Have you ever hit snooze? Yeah. Yeah. I have. Do you feel it's better just to get up? Oh, yeah. Definitely. Because you keep on hearing that alarm and then hear it in your dream and then just messes up everything. Oh, dude, I'll be dancing to my alarm. No, the worst is when it just, you thought you put on alarms and then it happened to me recently. How you know you're super tired? Yeah, it was, it's the worst because you're like, what the hell like I thought, or you, you turn off like sleepwalking or whatever. Yeah, you turned it off without even knowing that's how tired you were too. Yeah, Eddie left me hanging there actually. I'll tell you how coming up next. Oh, what? I think that day you and I were going to carpool to work because Janet and my daughters were going to pick me up at work and then we were going to go up north to my in-laws house. I was like, "It's perfect. Eddie brings me to work and then my wife drives up, pulls up, and he's like, "I don't remember that day." I remember that day. Yeah, yeah. So, I was just chilling waiting for Eddie. What? At the pad, do, do, do, do, do, do. Melejos mestido y el borro dal. Oh, that's the word. Legit. I've been there. What did I end up doing that day? You took... You drove. You drove. That's right. I ended up just driving my car. Right. And you left it there. And you left it because you asked me if you can leave it because I've left mine. And I parked it here at the studios in our parking lot. And I asked Preamalani because you left it here when you went to Hawaii. Yeah, like a week. I'm like, "Yo, was it cool? Like, is that Wheaton? Was that parking lot or no?" So I just, we made it work. That's it. But yeah, I didn't... Did I call you eventually? Yeah, yeah, you called me, but I was already, like, trying to get ready. I was like... You already were late at that point? Yeah. Late, but not late late. Eddie, so you see your boys call coming in right? What goes through your mind? Could you know your ass got off hella late? What goes through your mind? Like, it's the way I come home. No, no, no. I'll just, like... You're gonna boot? Because I hate when that happens. Oh, yeah. Um... But yeah, I was like, "Oh, damn. Like, he's ready to call in. Like, I have to hurry up." But I was not gonna make it. Like, he knows... He was already what? It was like... I had to be there at a certain time. And when he called that, it was when I had to be there, you know? And you were still, had to drive. Yeah, it's hard to drive. I had no gas. Like, yeah. It was like... Keep the 20! Where is the bloody... Especially when you're running late and you look at the tank and you're like, "Dang, I cannot even play with fumes today because you have nothing to play with, Paz." And it's not even like you can press the gas to go faster because you're like, "Cheens him, I'll come out of gas." And you're like turning off the radio, like if the radio burns gas. What is true, allegedly, is if you turn off your AC or heater, supposedly it conserves gasoline. Is that true? That's a rumor. I don't know. Google it. But Eddie, so yeah, I called you at the time you were supposed to be at my house. And you were still at your house getting ready. Yeah, and I texted you instead because I was like, "I don't want to..." I thought you were going to give me like... Oh, no, no, no! You didn't even answer Eddie! No, I didn't answer. I was like, "I know I'm going to get here." And then, "No, I couldn't face her right then." I was trying to get ready. And then I texted him and I was like, "I'm late." Let's go into this. Hear what, though, because our list was probably thinking like, "Yo, your boys are straight off." Ben is always a sort of penis. Sometimes. No, I'm just like, "I don't want to..." Guys, I swear, I'm not. No, it's because you guys don't understand when your boys upset. Like, it's not your regular upsetness. Like... You may see... I don't know what, like, guilt tees. Yes, it makes it worse! But it is your fault. It is your fault at the end of the day. It's just like... Do I know? But like, give us like... Like, if we need that on top of already being late. Guys, I'm just having a conversation with you guys. But I'm only just waiting. Like, you already know we're late? We're just like, "That's it." I think at graduate, I'm literally becoming my dad with the guilt trips. You know, Latino parents put us through those guilt trips all day every day? No, but I don't try to make you guys feel guilty. I literally have a conversation with you guys. Out of love, I never, like, raise my voice or yell. That's worse. I think that's worse. Do you want me to yell? Well, I grew up being yelled at and having people hit me. Well, you know, not like that. Oh, yeah. But in the Manasieado, there's little backhands and stuff. Like, so... You know, backhands. Like, you're just nothing? No, that's terrible. No, that's terrible. Oh, you know, I just got backhanded. That's it. Nothing major. Yeah, that's good. The manasieado. It's okay, it's okay. But yeah, I think it's worse. Because it's like, dude, this is how you're probably supposed to talk to humans. Like, I'm just... You're not used to it? I'm not used to it. I'm not used to the trauma. I'm like, me dramatic. Getting us into this. So, Eddie, you just texted me, I think. Yeah, I texted you. Nice move. And then you're like... You texted me, like, I don't know, like three times. Eddie, answer your phone. Oh, no! And... Because I don't make a decision. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, how, like... Is he... Is he on his way? Is he still at his house? Is he stuck? Does he need help? Because I'm doing the maths, we can still probably make it to work on time, you know? Because I'm thinking, like, "What?" "Come on, where I said?" But Eddie wouldn't answer. Yeah. Did you end up answering? Uh, no, I didn't. But then I called him back. And he was already on his way. You waited? Gave him a great experience. Did you know what he was gonna ask you when he was like, "And he called me back?" Or no? Yeah, like, what? Like... Where are you? I'm happy. Where are you anyway? Yeah. But I apologize right away because it was like my fault. Eddie called me. And he said, "Hey, I'm sorry, bro." What would he say? I don't know. What did I say? You appreciated it. Because sometimes when I'm wrong, I don't like to admit that I'm wrong right away. So... But I think this was one of the first signs where I'm like, "Hey, this is my fault. I'm sorry." And he's like, "Oh, hey, thank you." Thank you for saying this. No, he... No, that's a boy. You were pissed. Be for real. Mask, bro. Or were you ready to... No, no, because at that point, I'm just like... You were a little upset before real. No. Like, guys, I don't get upset. I get disappointed. There you go. That's... Oh, let's see. This is an example right here. I don't get upset. I get disappointed. Like, come on. I got too much on my mind. There's too many things going on that I got to do. Like, for me to get upset. You see, now you make us feel bad. No. Like, go with the guilt trick. No, I'm not a guilt trick. My dad! No, just kidding. No, let me tell you something. I really appreciated that, Eddie. He called me. Yeah. And he's like, hey, man, I'm just really, really sorry that I didn't show up. Like, on time. Oh, sure. Like, I forgot to put an alarm on. I don't know what you said. And I don't really even care what the reason was. I just genuinely was like, oh, there's such a power in just saying sorry, guys. To the person that you did wrong. No, I'm not. I'm not. It can be any level of issue, right? But when you start off with just admitting and apologizing, sincerely, you disarm the other person. Because they're already like on the defense. Because the other person's thinking, I got to make them see that they did something wrong. Right. And they're going to fight me on it or create some BS excuse. But when you already come in and be like, yo, I'm sorry. I messed up, bro. La Neta, Tata. You just disarmed the other person? That's powerful. And I immediately told Eddie, I wasn't like going to go on load on him or anything. I just, I said, hey, man, thank you so much. I appreciated that since dear apology. It's all good. I think I don't know what I said after that. I was like, it's all good. Love you. Drive safe. Yeah, drive safe. See you at work. Get some coffee. Yeah, I think you have time. You've got us so coffee all the way. Yeah, but. I don't know. I'm not guys. I'm not mean at all. No, he's not mean. He's just kind. And in this mean world, we're not used to kindness that it's interpreted as a mean. It's like reverse psychology. Psychology. Come on. Psychology. Yes, sir. It's not like it's a choice. Reverse psychology. Can I study as a choice? Speaking of. Yeah, I did. I have a degree in psychology. Thank you, which I appreciate on all of our phone calls. And also, you know what really helped me? I have a master's in leadership as well. And a lot of people are like, bro, why did you study so much if you just ended up in radio? Like, Bake, where you wasted time, money. And I actually didn't, bro, because I feel like it's prepared me so much to do what we're doing today. Even just communicating with you guys, the team or our listeners, because I had this false narrative of what quote unquote a leader is supposed to be. I remember being asked in one of my first classes in my master's program, I'm like, hey, what's leadership? Raise your hand. Yeah, I got it right here. I'm like, yeah, just a leader. You got to make people follow you, you know, to reach the goal. And then professors like, that's incorrect. And I was like, what? Literally leader like people are following you. He's like, no, man, a leader's purpose is to serve others. First, talk about it. Servant leadership, just how Jesus led. Exactly. Walked around, serving people, talking to people, not judging, but asking, having conversations. And because he led like that, people wanted to follow and accepted and wanted to support the dream and so on and so forth. So that helped me out tremendously. And you can, you listening right now, you can also lead like that in your home, in your relationship with your kids at work, like seek to serve first. And then, you know, the rest should come along sometimes, because then people don't give a F and then like, I don't care. I'm gonna try that. You're a great servant leader, do you want to? Yeah, but sometimes I'm not. What do you mean? Like, have my other job? Let's be for real. Yeah, but I guess one day, we'll dive deeper into that because that's not all on you. Like, I know that work environment is really bad. But you know what I will, that is a very good point right there, because I feel like in the space that I'm in right now, regardless if it's not the ideal place, like workspace or whatever, I feel like it is building me to be a better leader. And also just, you know, taking account the type of leaders that I'm observing. And if or if when I'm ever in that point of leadership, I know how to not move, if that makes sense. I love that. And that is so true, because we can learn from great leaders and we can learn from terrible leaders. Yeah. At the same time, you're talking about for one day, when you're in a leadership role. Piranha, you're already in a leadership role. Like, you don't have to be the head person of whatever to be a leader. You're a leader in your space, in your realm, every day where you show up to work. You know what I'm saying? Ooh. And on top of that, like all the awesome stuff you've done, your second job for the community. Oh, yeah. Like the backpack drives, the backpack giveaways. If people only knew that you organize all of that, all of that year after year, you know how much effort and leadership and vision that takes to organize so many organizations, by Alaras Unancia, to be able to complete that mission. And all your events come out super amazing. Thank you. Oh, thanks. And maybe your leader in your space as well. No, he's a great servant to Kim. Oh, yes. A leader. And to your-- Your servant. Your servant. Your servant. There's no leader there. Your clove that quid was? Oh, the soccer team. I see you on your soccer team. Your leader there. Yeah. And with your brother. Your brother. Your brother. Your little bro. Your King's little brother. And here at work, your great leader, bro. You got us, Eddie. Where would it be without you? Heck no, repurpose. I don't know. No. All the above, dealing with all the affiliates. Grazadios. That's not even saying. How about me, too? Okay. We got to go real. Let me tell you. No. How about we lead ourselves out of this, John? How about that? Do someone say? Joy? Yawaves. You think people want to hear a podcast like this? Oh, hell. It's called an after part. And you guys are here. I'm at work. Giving class. You ceremony? What topic would you talk about? I'm on this. What would you talk about? What topic would you talk about? I don't. I just want to leave. Oh, you don't want to do the podcast. Not no more today. Yawaves. Can we go? Yeah. Let's go. Let's go. Yeah. Since we're only on a positive note. Thanks, Mitro. For your leadership. Not possible. We love y'all. Wherever you're at. You're a leader in that space. Believe it. Serve others. Seek to serve and love and celebrate others. So, the kid in which. I don't know. Why are you whispering? This Mother's Day.
