Craig is usually a fan of water cooler talk, but it's draft season and that's all anyone wants to talk about. The athletic has loads of articles about this year's draft, but Craig doesn't have the athletic, so now he's filling up his water bottle in the bathroom sink, which to remind you is the sink people use after they use the bathroom. Get the athletic and get the info you need to speak draft fluently. Meal time will be a breeze this spring when you shop at Family Dollar, where there's deals for every meal, only at Family Dollar, helping you do more. Hello Hello, hello, hello. How you going? How you doing? What did you do? You know that banger would be by now, right? You know that is the intro, the theme, the sound, the introduction to the college football function. You know the voice by now, right? It is CM. It is the host that knows the most about that college football action. You know, AKA CM Funk, AKA Mrs. Grandma, AKA Mr. Perfect. Not too long ago, a little over a month ago. I should say I finally checked something off my bucket list that I've been trying to do for well over 15 years. I finally bolded my 300. I finally bolded my perfect game after years and years and years of trying. I finally did it a little over a month ago. I totally forgot to share that information with some of you Funkeys out there. I probably some of you don't really give a fuck. I don't really care, but I am a bowler. You know, I boldly got bold. You know, most of the time in the fall, just one, and then the summertime, sometimes I'll do a summer league, but I've been doing this since I was probably about 20 years old or so and I'm in my mid 30s. So, you know, you do the math of how long I've been bowling. So, finally got that, you know, monkey off my back. You know, I can at least say now that I'm perfect in one aspect of my life. During a short span of my life, I was perfect. So, yes, I got my 300. I should be getting my ring very, very soon. Definitely going to be a great night when I get my ring. My brother will be there, my pops will be there, and a lot of family and friends will be there as well. So, big shout outs to me, I guess, you know, I know it's kind of a shitty thing to do is patch yourself on the back, but when you love bowling like I do, and a lot of people don't really think it's a sport, go out there with a 16-pound ball and throw three games in the span of about an hour and a half, two hours. See how your shoulders, your arms, your legs feel, and then if you kind of feel confident in your game, sign up for a tournament. Sign up for a 16-18-36 game tournament spanning over about two days. See how you feel after you throw a 16-15-pound ball over and over and over again. It is cardio. It is, you know, you get some mass, some muscle mass. It's a very cerebral game too. It's a lot like pool. If you play pool, you know it's all about angles. It's all about speed. It's about where to put that cue on that cue ball. You know, it's sometimes it's putting it a little high and outside to that ball can move to the right and do this with the ball because you want to hit the two ball into that corner pocket by hitting this little section of that ball. It's the same way with bowling. You know, you have a ball in your hand and there's these little markings if you ever pay attention to the lanes. There's arrows and dots and stuff and where is your ball at that point of the lane? How fast is it going? Can you see the axis rotation? Is it moving in the right direction? Is it snapping too late? Is it snapping too fast too early? Are you completely missing the pocket? There's a lot of different things that go into bowling and it's very very hard. It's a very complex sport as well. Different oil conditions, different balls. You got ASIM balls. You got solid reactive balls. You got hybrid balls. You've got urethane balls. And it's all different lanes too. You got synthetic lanes, wood lanes. And then there's all the different oil patterns that can be put on a set of lanes. But everybody just thinks, oh they just put oil out there. No, you watch some of these big boys on the weekends on, you know, one of these, you know, channels not gonna promote them, not gonna say who they are. But turn on some pro-balling and watch some of these guys and some of these oil patterns that they throw on. It's very complex and it's very hard. These guys go out there and bowl it. You know, that's their job. You know, they bowl probably five or six days a week. You know, probably bowl over a hundred games a week, you know, and that's just what they do. They're athletes in their own opinion. A lot of people don't think that it takes an athlete to be a bowler because you think of a bowler. You think of a 40, 50 something year old, 300 pound dude. Chook a data chili dog and drink it a beer. Look at some of the pro bowlers that, you know, this is what they do for for money. You know, this is what they do for a job and they're not prototypically who you think they would look at. There are a lot of them are young but a lot of these guys are in pretty good shape. I'm not gonna say I'm in the best of shape. I definitely don't have the athlete body that I used to have but this keeps my my sport itch, you know, scratched like Mike and Terry do with their volleyball. This is something extra, you know, this is something to keep the mind fresh to keep the body going. Something to keep that competitive edge flowing because as an athlete and myself playing, you know, multiple sports from football to baseball to basketball, you have that competitive driving you. You want it to be the best at everything you possibly do and it could be into your work life. It could be in your professional life. It could be in your relationship. You want to be the best person that you could possibly be at any given time and when it comes to it being an athlete like, you know, I was. You got to scratch that itch. You got to find something to, you know, get that feeling again, you know, of winning and competing and, you know, things like that and Boeing's definitely one thing that I've learned to love. You know, I grew up in a bowling alley. My dad is a bowlers been bowling for a very long time and got me into it. So, you know, it's definitely a second-generational type thing and I suggest, you know, and it's actually a cheap date. It's a cheap thing to do. If you get a couple of people together, you know, throw a couple of bucks together, you know, you and your buddies, you and your girlfriends, so on and so forth, go to a bowling alley, have some fun. Throw some balls around, try to score as many pins as you possibly can. Try to get that 300. Not a lot of people can get and that do have. So, like I said, not going to talk anymore about that. This is a football show, but I thought I'd let you guys in just a little bit on CM's life. You know, this isn't just my life, you know, putting out these episodes and talking about these prospects and talking about the big 10 and the big 12 and the SEC and cosmopolitan playoffs and heismans and, you know, all these things that I do for, you know, this podcast and this show is sometimes I just want to shed a little light and to see him life, you know what I'm saying? Just to let you peak behind the curtain of, you know, the Oz, you know, the guy who runs the show, the guy who puts out hopefully quality stuff for you people out there to listen to, so just makes me feel a little more human for you guys to know just a little bit more about me. I'm not going to tell you everything about me, but just, you know, like I said, let you peek behind the curtain and let you just, you know, let you guys know a CM is a person, you know, he is a levering, breathing, bleeding person. I'm just a man just like anybody else. I just happen to love football, college football, NFL, so on and so forth. I have been watching a little bit of that UFL that's been going on and of course NBA and NHL playoffs are starting, so definitely going to be getting into that very very soon. Not going to talk about it, but in my own personal life because I do like to scratch my different itches because I have a lot of different loves too as well when it comes to sports, but we're not talking about that. Like I said, we are here to do some more prospect discussion. We're breaking down position by position and I got a big juicy nice one for you guys today. Going to do the edge position and I'm going to do the running back position. Didn't get to do the edge one. Oh sorry about that. It came out of nowhere. Of course with Mike and Terry because I didn't have my own work done on that position yet. Some positions aren't as juicy and I'm not as excited to do as I am others. Of course you sign up to do cornerbacks and wide receivers and quarterbacks and sometimes the edge position during certain years of drafts, it's very juicy. There's four different one A's. You have one A through one C, one D. There's just really great prospects. It's just the edge prospect division. I thought this year was a little lackluster. It's very very top driven. It's very very good at the very top and then it just kind of falls off and maybe there might be two guys drafted from this position in the first round. There might be three, but four is it's it's it's a possibility. I'm not going to say that at all. Maybe there's somebody out there that just that's what they absolutely need. They need a pass rusher and that's just one of the last positions that they need to be covered. To be a formidable foe, go and enter their next divisional series season. Of course going into 2024 to 2025 season to possibly win the division. Of course hold up that Lombardi trophy, but running back position. I'm gonna do that one second today. Definitely another one that's not really lackluster. It's definitely a position that's kind of fallen off the map when it comes to the NFL game the past 10-15 years. When you think about the NFL in the early 2000s, it was a very respectable running back class every single year. You had guys like Adrian Peterson, Todd Gurley, and you know, Ladani and Thomas, and I know he's been around for a while, but you think about how the game has slowly moved away from you know running the ball 20-30 times to you know having a running back that you don't necessarily need to give him the ball 30 times. You know give it to him 15-20 times, but this guy needs to also be a threat in the receiving game. He also knows needs to pass protect because I hate to say it, but the NFL game has gone to a more past style, past happy type of league, especially the past five or ten years. Is it a undervalued position they running back? I would say no. You absolutely need a competent running back. Does he need to be the focal point of your offense anymore? That is definitely a no. It's definitely more quarterback driven now, but not to say that a guy like Benjamin Robinson can kind of tilt the favors or tip the scales a little bit more towards the running back position. I will definitely talk more about that because you saw what he did for the Atlanta Falcons, him being a very high draft pick you know being a top 10 pick you know from the Falcons last year. They took a gamble on the guy and did it pay off? Absolutely and I'm thinking maybe with this new batch of running backs that there might be a running back drafted in the first round this year. I'm going to say no, but of course with the draft coming up and I'm not going to say what date it is by the way because I am just putting out episodes left and right and I'm sending them to Mike and he can publish them and get them up whenever he deems right. Of course with Grimm's schedule and him and Terry's schedule he can kind of pick in place where he wants to put these episodes so I'm not going to say what date it is, but let's just say the the draft is less than double digits away. That's all I'm going to say. It's not in double digits before the draft and I still have a couple more episodes and hopefully another mock draft so this should be a fast and furious next month not month, sorry. Week and a half you know it could be a week and a day you just never know. Let's just say the draft is around so it's right around the corner. I can smell it you know the the the bread is baking it's not quite done but you can smell that it's starting to get close and it's starting to be you know it's starting to make your mouth water you can almost taste that bread in your mouth and you can almost taste that draft night one of my favorite nights of the year but with all due respect I'm talking too much already. Let's get into this position but break down first like I said edge and running back. Let's start off with the edge position and just like you guys know I don't want to go in complete depth especially with some of these top tier guys. I'm just going to tell you certain names certain characteristics certain just single word things that I think of when I watch these guys on tape whether it was last year whether it was the combine whether it was a senior bowl I want to be short fast and in the hurry. I want to give you just the key words that I think of about these guys and then move on to the next one. I want to give you more quantity and quality if that makes any sense tell you enough about the guys that you already kind of know about but I want to talk about guys that you probably don't know about and give you just a little insight on them. Guys that are might not even get drafted that's what I love to do about this you know draft process is I go deep I go more than 10 sometimes 15 guys in every certain position and I do believe I'm going to give away this but I'm thinking by wide receiver I'm thinking I'm going to do 20 guys on that wide receiver because it's it's one of the last ones I'm working on and it's one I've already worked on a couple of times I keep going back to the wide receiver position because guys are jumping guys are falling the more I watch certain guys the more they creep up my board and the more I watch guys sometimes I have to drop them just because I don't like what's you know I see more often times than one other guys so real quick go through all these guys and towards the end of the last guys these are always going to be probably you're not draftable guys but I'm not saying you shouldn't take a risk on them I'm saying this is a guy that I would love on my team to pick up in free agency or pick them up and with you know the last pick overall in the draft these are guys I like Dallas Turner of course coming in this is my number one edge prospect out of Bama of course I ran a 4 4 6 40 super fast 6 3 2 47 he has that great balance between size and speed this is an athlete he has a great first step quickness his frame and arm length are exactly NFL ready he goes speed to power better than anybody else in this whole prospect division I honestly think bad things about him is his hand technique he can definitely work on that but that is again something I will say over and over again with a lot of these guys weaknesses and downfalls is a lot of this can be fixed with coaching and snaps it can be fixed his hand technique where he needs to put his hands so on and so forth and he just kind of needs to bulk up a little bit I still see he's not maxed out he's not like a lot of these prospects that that I've seen and I would talk about that you know they're completely done growing I can see him putting on another 10 maybe 15 pounds in the right places of course it's going to sacrifice his speed but in order for him to be an elite pass rusher in the NFL game I think he could bulk up just a little bit my next guy Jared verse Florida State this could be a lot of guys one A as well he's my one B I love the guy I'm not saying he's not a little bit better than Jared verse I ran a 4 540 another guy that's very very fast 6 4 2 54 love his size he reminds me a lot of cave on tibido craig is usually a fan of water cooler talk but it's draft season and that's all anyone wants to talk about the athletic has loads of articles about this year's draft but Greg doesn't have the athletic so now he's filling up his water bottle in the bathroom sink which to remind you is the sink people use after they use the bathroom get the athletic and get the info you need to speak draft fluently like I say I'm going to do this a lot with some guys it's not all guys it's just I see characteristics and and players in the NFL right now compare them to these guys coming out cave on tibido I think he's going into a second or third year and the pros you know not doing a bad job down there in New York for the football Giants definitely a guy that has still hasn't scratched his potential yet he's still not even lived up to everything he can possibly be I think pass freshers need a year to it's not every day that you see a pass rusher get drafted and turn around and then their rookie year have just phenomenal seasons it doesn't happen very often of course it does every once in a while Aiden Hutchinson top of my head is a guy that just come in you know day one and have a sensational rookie season I think that was probably more of the team around him kind of helped him that you know have a standout rookie season but it's harder for edge prospects to come in day one get used to the NFL game learn the NFL game and be productive in the NFL game so cave on tibido I do believe is his his scene he hadn't hit his ceiling yet this is a guy that his potential is yet to be you know found this guy reminds me of him that's Jared verse uh great first step this is another freak athlete he has great bend he's flexible uh you know he you know he you see his name a lot you know when he's trying to get past you that's always a scary thing within it comes to edge guys bend and flexible and fluidity you'll definitely hear a lot about those you know characteristics when I talk about this position this is a guy has another high motor it's very explosive uh downside about him is his tackling definitely needs to work on that uh and his run defense uh he can overshoot at times sometimes you know that tackle just wants that edge guy to go out as far as he can you know he's getting him away from that quarterback he's getting him away from the play and that's is definitely something that Jared verse does every once in a while he just overshoots you know he takes the long way around to try to get a quarterback and sometimes that is all the time you need for that quarterback to you know count to three and get that ball out or you know run a draw someone and so forth takes him out of the play he is one guy that's one guy you got to worry about making the tackle for sure uh moving on latu latu uh ucla brewing uh ready for six six five two fifty nine i agree with tarry mr minifield in every aspect of this dude he's a dog he is my favorite you know prospect in this whole uh position sorry i think he'd be number one if it wasn't for his injuries i'm sorry but injuries do you have to take into effect if they've had serious injuries if they've had injury problems if it's been certain injuries especially for certain positions you have to take that into effect i love this guy's game you know he won patra show the year in the nca game you know he won an award for that uh do believe it is the butters can't really remember off the top of my head but top defensive end in the country latu latu does it translate to the nfl not always but like i said this is an injury thing let's go through his good things though he reminds me a lot of george carloftis in his tape and then watching him of course play for ucla dude's got a lot of game george carloftis is another guy that you know a formidable foe another guy kind of like cave on he's coming into his own he's kind of you know been in the game just for a little while and has yet to scratch his potential uh great burst quickness his set of moves is better than everybody else in this whole thing he is very instinctual and his high motor makes me love him he's just a guy he's a dog he's a guy you want on your team uh downsides arm length yeah it doesn't have the ideal arm link you would want any pass rusher run defense has you know yet to be admired he definitely needs to work on that he is a you know tunnel vision type kind of guy he thinks quarterback he's not always thinking about you know stopping the d the running back in the back field or disrupting a run zone or a path you know so on and so forth he's got one thing on his vine that's quarterback and that sometimes is a bad thing when it comes to a pass rusher and of course like i said before the reason why he is not my number one guy is because of his medical history uh can he possibly never have an injury ever again in the NFL game that's good that's a complete possibility but when you have it before uh the chances are it will happen again so that's why i have him at number three and that's not a bad thing i still think this guy could be drafted in the first round like uh terry did terry has him drafted very high and uh one of his mock drafts that we did uh i could see it you never know there's high risk high reward i see i i see the detroit lines in this guy this is a guy that would fit that scheme he would fit that team to a tee love lot two lot two moving on chop robin since my next guy at a pin state ran a four four eight forty six three two fifty four this is a three down energy player this is a guy who's going to play every single snap he's another freak athlete very powerful his first step is up there with some of these other guys just top notch he anchored to the edge with the run game he is not just uh go and get the passer he can set the edge he can make sure that that running bad doesn't go around him that there's not a a sweep going around him he can anchor that side of the ball nobody gets around him or gets through him gets you know between him so on and so forth this is a guy that is very good at the run this is definitely one of his strengths one of the weaknesses though is a set of moves he definitely needs to work on that he gets a little predictable but the things that he likes to use that is very successful for him that he's used in the past and his length is yet to be admired but at the same time length it's not one of the deal breakers for me it's uh you can see different sizes of of guys do great things when it comes to nfl i know and length is something he can't fix you know he ain't gonna grow you know two or three inches you know between now and the draft and his arms he ain't gonna get no longer from here to the draft he's just going to have to work that much harder to get his skills honed you know iron sharpens iron he's going to have to get better in the things that he's already good at because what he's bad at can be fixed or it's it's impossible fix like his length but like i said a set of moves he can learn job bromison's a dude and you know uh i'm not going to compare him to to mica but he played he played for pin state pin state puts out dudes they put out pass rushers and if anything he's anything like that dude in dallas that they got even close to that dude in dallas that played for pin state you know i'm talking about mica uh he could be a baller man another guy creeping up on my list job robinson at pin state uh next guy darius robinson um i don't have who he's from i think he's from michigan um i can't believe i didn't write some of the damn players where they came from all some of them sorry ran a four nine forty uh stand six five two eighty five love his size um this guy reminds me of kian white last year from uh george attack he puts a lot of the same things on tape that i saw from kian white it's just you know different jersey pretty much um he's a run disruptor this is definitely a guy that's just not straight patch dependent he's very unpredictable unpredictable with his in and out moves he has very heavy hands and he moves tackles that's definitely something you want to see when an edge type defensive end he's more of a defensive end than an edge he's he's got a more repertoire in his game you know he doesn't straight think about just going to get the quarterback he can play defensive end and a lot of people say what's the difference between defensive in an edge edge goes and gets the passer defensive end sets the edge defensive ends can stop the run defense events can sack you know but that's uh it's a multifaceted outside linebackers what a defense event pretty much is i played both of them you know i played both positions and uh sometimes i'll uh outside linebackers slash edges you got to learn how to do coverage you know you have to be able to not just go forward you have to be able to get on your back you know back pedal cover you know cover a tight end you know sit in his own so on and so forth but same thing with that a defensive ends it just really depends on your skill set you know where and what kind of defensive schemes that some teams like to run is what they're going to put you as a true defensive end a true you know five seven uh technique or you know you're just going to be a pass rusher but this is more of a more rounded defensive end and i think and Darius Robinson uh sorry bad things about him his set of moves you can definitely be predictable at times you'd definitely see a lot of the weaknesses in some of these guys uh first step he's not very quick with this first step uh that's why i think he's more of a true defensive end and his play recognition definitely as you have to be admired uh he's got to know what's coming he's going to have to you know be more instinctual uh he's definitely going to have to work on that but that's some things that he can be fixed with snaps the right coaching so on and so forth darius robinson i want to say he's out of michigan i i could be wrong i'm so sorry mazoo uh sorry i screwed that up but just remember the name darius robinson good good player uh chris broswell at abama ran a four six forty stand six three two sixty one coverage this is a coverage outside linebacker not just an edge guy has barely violent hands has great speed to power combo very unpredictable he has a great first step he has elite athleticism and his work ethic is barn on one of the best and this whole position uh this is a guy though his weaknesses is he has very limited snaps uh and his play recognition you know it definitely needs to work on that but like i said this is a guy it's a little raw this is going to be a guy's second day maybe even third fourth round you just don't know chris broswell uh those limited snaps thing is a good thing for some coaches and it's a bad thing for some coaches uh sometimes they like a guy with a lot of experience you know three four-year starters they like those guys me on the other hand i lean more a little bit towards the guys are a little bit more raw especially if i have some veterans around i might want a raw guy that you know he hasn't even gotten close to what his potential could be but it also could be a bad thing you know he could get to his potential and his potential is not as great as his ceiling was you know i'm saying he's closer to the floor than he is a ceiling but still a good guy chris broswell out of bammo adisa icick yet again another guy i did not write where he's from i am sorry ran a four seven forty six four two forty seven this is a versatile tile guy he is good in a two-point stance and a three-point stance what you think uh you're probably seeing cm what's the difference between two-point stance and a three-point stance points in the ground if there's a two-point stance obviously you are on your feet if you're a three-point stance you're putting one foot on the ground it's three points in the ground that's where two and three point stances come from hand technique is very very good love that about him very high iq's is definitely a guy that is very very smart and he has a very high motor bad things about him he's not as good in the run he's definitely a pass rusher through and through um he's laid off the ball sometimes uh definitely needs to anticipate snap counts definitely needs to get his uh his first step worked on he's just this is just a guy that's just going to need a little bit more work as i go as i go on some of these players and this is a guy who abandoned the assignments this is definitely a red fly for me uh i don't like guys who just it always bait go on their instincts always go on uh you you are assigned a certain assignment every single play you have to be here you have to be there so on and so forth when there's guys that abandoned assignments that's too much of a look at me look at me quality as a playmaker i get it but you're also hanging out you know a quarterback a safety you're hanging out your defensive tackle you're hanging somebody else out the dry and going up against a really good quarterback slash options coordinator so on and so forth they will use that against you they will find your Achilles heel and they will use it against you especially guys that abandoned their assignments you will that has to get taught out of him that is definitely very bad thing about him doesn't happen a whole lot but it is something i've seen before uh braid and trice out of washington i love this guy ready four seven forty six four two forty five i have a comp to him to uh will mcdonald the fourth last year i do believe the jets picked him up uh uh solid player this yet again this is a guy that kind of disappeared you know didn't really have that great of a year pretty quiet of course i don't pay attention to the jets as much as i probably should uh you know big shout out to end your fun but um i see a lot of will mcdonald and use a great player out out of the state a guy that has a very high ceiling uh you have to be you know potential you have to be scratched very mobile this guy is a block beater he has a great counter this guy is relentless agile and finesse he has a good anchor yet again another guy that could set the edge bad thing about him his run defense is yet to be admired this is more of a traditional defensive end he's not a true straight-up passion usher he is more of a defensive end and another guy who needs needs to work on his first step uh you know anticipation you know things like that he's got to be quicker off the ball but like i said some of these guys these things are can be fixed with snaps and coaching in a heartbeat next guy austin booker uh kansas a jhock ran a four seven forty stand six four or two forty this is a guy with an explosive first step huge wingspan and arm length he has a wide array of moves this is in every down a player he's going he's good in coverage too this is a guy that just doesn't just put his you know his hand in the ground and gets tunnel vision this is a guy that can get back pedal could do some coverage if he needs to that is definitely something that could be very useful with a lot of good defensive schemes and a good defensive coordinator for sure high motor and he has great pursuit bad thing about him is his experience this is a guy that's going to be very raw and his size and weight or yet to be admired but that again that can be fixed his weight can be fixed you know how tall he gets that can be fixed but he can always put on a little bit pounds you know be more of a traditional defensive end which is nothing wrong with that not all defensive ends are pass rushers and then all pass rushers are defensive ends uh it is what it is some some guys play better when you know they're battling with the tackle instead of always going to get the quarterback it's it's just a more of a 25 percent of the time go get the quarterback or 50 percent of the time get the quarterback play your assignments sometimes back up get that tied in that's running across or cover a running back you know out of the back field there is a lot of things that go into being a defensive end and an outside linebacker in the pros for sure all right moving on martian cakeland i want to say that's what his name is western michigan ran a four seven forty stand six three two sixty seven this is a guy who's got that nfl frame very high motor this is a bull rusher he can put tackles on their ass his run defense is very good he's definitely not one of his weaknesses relentless pursuit this is a guy that just gots the nose for the ball love his work ethic as well this is a versatile guy um adaptable in schemes this is going to be a guy you draft and you don't really have to change what you're doing to fit his game he's going to fit your game that is definitely the reason why i have him on my list uh his burst definitely needs to be worked on he's more of a bigger guy his hand ushers could be worked on and his tackling can be polished those are all things that can be fixed with coaching and snaps love the guy out of western michigan look out for him uh jona ellis out of utah ranny four seven forty stand six two two forty eight i got a comp to this guy he reminds me a lot of bj ojallari uh yet again another good player uh is he a great player yet uh that it's yet to be admired uh has he reached his ceiling yet either no but i see a lot of bj ojallari in this guy this is a guy with a very explosive first step he sets the edge very well he sheds blocks easily he has an array of moves not just you know one move dependent he's a backfill threat he always ends up in the backfill a lot i see with his tape another high iq player the bad thing about him is his size six two two forty eight is not an ideal size definitely he can bulk up for sure he can be pushed around at times against you know especially with bigger long armed tackles he kind of gets manipulated uh sometimes injuries this is a guy that's you know had some injuries in his past and this is just not a three down player you know he can only maybe play on a second or third maybe in third and long coming in he's not a three down player that is definitely something that's going to hurt him in the next level um let's see here this is my last guy of course this is my guy that uh more than likely he's not going to get drafted he's more than likely not going to hear his name but don't mean i don't see you know potential in this guy goes by the name of Gabriel Murphy uh ran a four six forty six two two seventeen very high motor love this guy he's athletic his swim move is top notch he is uh it's counters his counter moves are good he's very versatile as well this is another guy that could fit defensive schemes don't have to fit around him uh the hand technique is one of these bad things this definitely used to learn how to use his hands better block shedding another thing he gets covered up too many times and this is a guy that just gets pushed around too often but i see potential in this guy puts on a little bit of weight gets some snaps gets the right coaching do you believe Gabriel Murphy could be a stud in the NFL for sure all right let's move on to the other side of the ball let's go to the running backs and let's go through these guys shall we uh start with my number one guy uh it's changed uh Braylon Allen was my number one guy i just like Braylon Allen's style of running i love the old school just ran it run it down your throat give me the ball thirty five forty times a game and just let me work i love that style of running back not gonna lie but nowadays that style of running game is just gone away even Derek Henry you know god love him he's gonna have a great year in Baltimore how much tread does that big dude have on his tires just that physical style run game is just not proficient in the NFL anymore you gotta have a running back to catch the ball you gotta have a running back to pass protect it's changing that's why Braylon Allen kind of fell down a little bit on my list not to say that i would not love him and i care a lot of panthers uniform and if you end up with Braylon Allen please be excited i'm not saying he's not a good player it's just based on today's offenses and how the NFL is working that style of running back is just a dying breed Craig is usually a fan of water cooler talk but it's draft season and that's all anyone wants to talk about the athletic has loads of articles about this year's draft but Greg doesn't have the athletic so now he's filling up his water bottle in the bathroom sink which to remind you is the sink people use after they use the bathroom get the athletic and get the info you need to speak draft fluently not to say Braylon Allen can't succeed not saying that at all but you kind of want these other guys with more qualities and more things to be admired all right we'll start with our number one guy yet again another Texas running back year you know back-to-back years having the number one running back prospect in the country going into the draft Jonathan Brooks stands six foot 216 of course being a Longhorn this is a guy who manipulates tacklers hard to contain very elusive he has great hands shows great agility and vision and very versatile who does that sound like does that sound like Bijon Robinson yes it does because he has a lot of the same traits i wanted to say he reminds me of Bijon Robinson but they play together of course he's going to look like Bijon Robinson Bijon Robinson gets drafted to the Atlanta Falcons last year 2023 do you think Jonathan Brooks took that and went oh well i want to be more like Jonathan Brooks and not more like Bijon Robinson no he's going to study Bijon's tape he's going to he worked with the guy he saw his work ethic he saw how he played and he tried to be the next Bijon Robinson sorry imitations the finest form of flattery right why not be the next Bijon Robinson get drafted top 10 why not Jonathan Brooks has all the traits you like of course with that style of a running back now downsides to Jonathan Brooks was his limited snaps this was his first year at being a number one uh with running backs that's a good thing and it's a bad thing you know could it translate into the NFL absolutely you never know this is a guy that's a gambler in the backfield you know does he take off his helmet you know and uh play some Texas hold them no this is a guy that just you know relies on the big play too much instead of doing the small things right and taking those two-yard gains and you know sometimes you know a two-yard loss instead of a five-yard loss is is admirable it is what it is this guy just gambles too much goes to the right scheme right coach that can get fixed for sure next guy Jaylen Wright out of Tennessee ran a four or three forty super fast uh stands five ten two ten uh guy reminds me of Kenneth Walker the third uh definitely great comp the guy's doing his damn thing in Seattle a great player for sure this guy just you know Walker 3.03 you know whatever you want to call it this is a guy that runs with violence this is a freak athlete very patient in his running style he gets low he keeps his pad levels down his he is a receiving threat you know he's you know he's dependable there uh he's a playmaker for sure zone style run system this guy would thrive in um dangerous acceleration this is a guy that just get him in the in free free field he's gone for sure uh bad things about him he's just building his frame of course you know being five ten two ten uh it's as yet to be admired but like again he could build up he could bulk up just a little bit and he's run route you know his route running refinement needs to be touched up definitely a guy that you know just needs a wider route tree needs to learn more things if he goes out for a pass it was usually always the same route and sometimes that bit him in the ass sometimes a bit his quarterback in the ass because going up against good defense and running back goes out and you kind of know it's one of two or one of three routes that he's going to run you can gamble and bam pick six hallelujah halle back moving on blake quorum michigan running back ran a four five forty stands five eight two oh five he possesses great vision he has a great jump cut this is a guy that just finds daylight a great stout frame he has home run ability as you've seen of course if you watched any of the michigan wolverines tape from the past two years for sure very explosive he has a great wiggle he is a mismatch this is deuce Vaughn 2.0 this is a guy that just creates mismatch problems all day when he's on the field but that is also his downside is of course his size can he stand up to the nfl speed the nfl power the you know all those things i do believe he can uh you know he's in my top five for a reason blake quorum is a guy as he had every down back i don't think so but you know he's definitely a guy that you know has championship style iq2 and intelligence you know you want to get a national champion on your team you know you definitely learn a lot you can always teach a couple of veterans on an nfl team if you won you know at the highest level in college too you definitely walk in there and you know tend to be a leader for sure these guys that have won rings in the NCAA uh tree Benson my next guy Florida state ran a four three forty stands six foot two sixteen he's got long speed he's got home run speed his burst is great he has a good strength and balance combination past catching skills he's very dependable out there with his hands this is a guy who evades defenders easily bad sides about him though it's his past protection definitely needs to be worked on especially in the nfl game his routes he's definitely going to need to get a better route tree learn to run better routes as well and his injury history uh this is just a guy that's just a banger uh you know he seeks out hits you know he's gotten injured before uh he's gonna have to learn to be smarter runner for sure in the next level bucky Irving one of my favorite guys out of Oregon stands ran a four five forty sorry it stands five nine one ninety two guy reminds me of tai j spears i know a guy that's you know hasn't really done a whole lot in the nfl game but had a great college career and i think tai j still has got you know some tread on stars i think believe you could still be a great player in the next level this is a playmaker man elite speed good vision dependable in the past game love that about him his light frame is definitely going to hurt him his passing pass blocking is definitely yet to be admired and he is a mostly a short pass and screen receiver running back very predictable uh he didn't have a wide range of moves not a wide range of route trees so on and so forth this is a guy that's just going to need to broaden his horizons especially goes to a more complex you know running back system or scheme in the nfl for sure but i still believe this guy going to the right place is just going to thrive bucky Irving at Oregon marshall Lloyd at USC you're ending four four six forty stands five nine two twenty great combination of acceleration and burst he is a threat explosive evasive enzyme uh inside zone scheme run that is where he thrives he goes to an inside run zones type uh scheme offense he will thrive um bad sides about him he runs too high and upright sometimes he doesn't keep his pad pad level down make himself small you like to hear that a lot when it comes to running backs definitely needs to work on his vision you know definitely needs to learn where to hit the whole window hole you know work on his patience so on and so forth his pass protection is definitely yet to be admired USC was just one of those teams last year that wing it around quick throw it you know bam down the i mean their offense is something else and his pass protection it it can translate to the nfl he didn't have to do it very much that's what i think is going to be the problem is what they're you know broadcasting for him is that he didn't maybe didn't get enough pass protection so he's going to have to learn that and he's gonna have to learn it fast especially in the nfl game and his ball security this is just a guy that uh hollywood man you think of usc you think of hollywood man it's it carries it like a loaf of bread he doesn't carry it high and tight like he's supposed to this is a guy that's had fumbles in his past definitely want to end up on the pine pony uh on the coach's shit list give the ball away and you will find yourself in big time trouble especially with the right coaches i should say all coaches in general i should say that for real all right next guy audrick steamer love this guy at an order dame running four seven forty five eleven two twenty one this guy reminds me a little bit of tyler algier uh take it with a grain of salt i just see a lot of algier and audrick steamer i watched a lot of Notre Dame football last couple years runs with great strength he's very patient with his running he has great power his lateral um moves are very very good and his past protection is definitely one of his drinks moon on that thing is he's overly patient at times that could be just as dangerous you know i i know you want to uh running back this patient sometimes overly patient is a weakness i know is it's one of those downsides but he's got to find that i always got to be yeah he's got to be more enforceful with it man he's got to know when to hit it and hit it hard for sure um ball security another guy that uh he's got to hold the ball high and tight man he can't be giving the ball put the ball on the carpet and definitely he needs to work on his route running and his pass catching for sure uh and be a three down back man uh he's just he's a ball in his hands kind of guy he's not a ball uh go and catch it type guy uh he's going to have to work on that side of the ball for him for sure if he wants to thrive in the afro game that's catch the ball for sure uh next guy of course this is my one of my guys i love this guy to death uh look up pictures of this guy this guy is your prototypical just nasty looking guy of course and he played for wisconsin that's brian allen ran a four four forty stand six one two thirty five freak freak athlete he has great size and strength combination he is a lane finder love that about him he sees a lane and he goes and he gets it very agile his pass protection and his check downs this is a guy that you know does not mind catching the ball and he does not mind picking up a blitzing linebacker you know someone coming off the edge this is a guy that is good at that time of thing this is a chain moving physical runner this is a guy you want in the goal line situations this is a guy that just has a nose for the goal line love that about him that thing about him is his receiving uh yeah of course he has it in his game but he desilinese will work on that get better route trees learn do just do better and work harder so on and so forth and his ball carrying technique is definitely yet to be admired does he have the ball security problems as you know like a audrick or an mr shawn i would say no it's just he's gonna his technique just a little off it doesn't translate you know like i said it's gonna be something that nfl coaches are going to want to work on for sure next guy will shipley at a clamson run a four three nine forty stands five eleven two oh six open field eater this is a open field killer very skilled receiver very elusive this is a special teamer love that about will shipley this guy plays d third side of the ball love that about players for sure downside his size and mass this is definitely a guy that just needs to bulk up for sure this is a guy that's quick not fast there is a difference ball security another bad side about him definitely needs to work on that and this is another guy kind of like audrick his team a he is too patient at times he needs to make up his damn mind and know when to hit it and how hard to hit it this is a guy that's just going to have to learn how to do that and sometimes the nfo game you sink or swim right you know it is what it is and like i said this is probably the eighth or ninth you know running back i've talked about he's you know i late rounder you know will shipley might not even be drafted you never know but like i said these guys uh more more to be worked on for sure but i'm not saying they're bad prospects these are all guys i would love on my team for show ray ray davis at a kentucky run a five two forty stands five eight two eleven this is a power runner this guy has good vision and patience love that about him he's a reliable pass catcher very versatile in his schemes you know this is yet again another guy you don't have to change your scheme change how you run things he fits he's not going to be a puzzle piece that you have to kind of round off and cut this is a guy that will fit whatever you are running very durable very resilient this is a guy that just bounces back this is a three down back this is just a guy that you just want a work a blue collar guy you know i bring his pale and go to work clock in clock out type guy i love that about him for sure bad side about him is his speed uh of course he's not a fast guy he's more of a power guy and his blitz recognition and pass protection is definitely something he's going to need to work on in the nfl game he's going to have to determine when and where guys are coming from unless he wants to get like i said on the pine pony and get on his coach is shitless because there's nothing worse than a running back who can't pick up a blitz in the nfl game because it is a throwing game it is a more quarterback driven throw the ball down the field type game and guess what what does the defense need to do they got to get the quarterback on the ground so this is a guy that's got to learn how to pass block for sure at least blitz recognition at least for sure like i said this is a blue collar guy this is a guy that's not going he's not super special but you know he reminds me of a nick chub type of runner uh type of player he's not a look at me type guy he's a clock in clock out nose to the grind get the job done you know not going to pat myself on the back type guy nick chub style all day love that about mr ray ray davis out of kentucky is it gorindo out of louisville hope i pronounce his name night gorindel gorindel ran a four three forty stand six foot two twenty one um rishan white i got a comp for him i do believe that it's the running back out of temp of bath i'm not mistaken i hope i got the right white yeah uh yeah rishard white right yeah uh acceleration very good he goes zero to sixty really fast great blocker definitely not one of his weaknesses he is a playmaker he's got an nfl build he's got an nfl body already he is a dependable receiver and his speed is definitely one of his you know highlights for sure uh bad thing is is he relies on his speed too much he's definitely one of those guys that uh he bounces his runs outside too often he depends on his speed and sorry ask regi bush uh about that in the nfl remember there's that one play that he should have cut in you know he should have hit the four five gap or something like that and he bounced it outside he got ran down by a defense event your speed in the in the college game and your speed in nfl is two completely different things you got to learn not to always bounce outside you've got to be assignment driven you have to hit that whole regardless if it's open or not you know two-yard loss or a one-yard game you know it's better than you know getting hit you know by a blitzing linebacker on the outside or a corner of safety and losing the ball and getting your ass on the sideline for sure sitting next to the old ball coach like i say but like i said this yet again a guy that you know goes to the right team right scheme can be a baller uh taro Tracy jr at a perdue red a 4 4 8 40 stands 5 11 2 0 9 this is the north and south runner loved that about him very agile very quick directional changes love that about him this is a kick returner this is another guy he plays the third side of the ball loved that experience in the passing game he's not you know definitely a guy that you cannot where you won't worry about when it comes to that very good patience and vision love that about him his past protection is very good it's very it's his inexperience is his downside uh this is a guy that hasn't been been playing you know uh the running back position very long uh he's definitely wrong and this is another guy that just depends on his beat too much and he bounces outside too often he needs to be have more integrity he's going to have to be more dependent on what he needs to do hit his assignments and hit him hard next guy Isaiah Davis South Dakota State 4 5 stands 6 foot 2 18 sorry this guy navigates between tackles love that about them he's got that Blake quorum in him ball security this is a guy that's only had three fumbles in four years got to love that about him that is definitely a bonus he has great vision great patience this is a work horse he is a capable receiver and he is a one cut slash runner this is a guy like I said north to south he's not a dancer he ain't gonna try to juke your shoes he's gonna make one move and he's gonna put you on yes bad thing about him it is his speed of course is as long speed he doesn't have it he's not going to break away you're not going to see no ADR 75 yard run you know touchdown runs from this guy he doesn't have that long speed and this is again another guy gets too dependent he wants to bounce outside he wants to make a play instead of you know that integrity that assignment that he needs to do and run what he's supposed to I definitely got it could brush up on his past protection his route abilities are just a little underdeveloped definitely a guy that could work on that with more snaps better coaching so on and so forth and definitely needs to lower his level of play this is a guy that just plays too damn high I don't like that about running backs get little I mean unless you're you know huge which he's not you're gonna have to run small you know make it aim small hit small you know like I said aim small miss small when you're big you you're giving these guys way more opportunity to hit you you've got definitely have to learn how to run a little bit better one of my other guys Cody Schrader I don't have a lot on him guy from mazoo watch the lot of mazoo this is a team that really over performed last year and this is a guy that you know he probably not going to hear his name but I love him you go you gotta give love to the white to the white running backs man definitely dying breed I know a lot of people say hey white guys you have one of the best running backs in the game and that don't come very often you know I'm saying uh christian mcafry is definitely unicorn for sure is Cody Schrader unicorn I don't think so you guys got to remember cmc got you out there pretty high you know back in the day of course for my Carolina Panthers but Cody Schrader is definitely a guy I've been I'm gonna keep my eye on maybe he hears his name but I doubt it but uh I love the guy skill set I love his demeanor his vision his leadership uh he's got a lot of good qualities but then he's got a lot of bad quality he's just like all these other guys that I've been talking about but they can be fixed Cody Schrader item is zoo now you want a real long shot a guy that's probably not going to hear his name kamani vidal but this is a guy I am an absolute love with he comes out of Troy smaller school and as Malik neighbors was the NCA receiving leader you ask who was the NCA running back no yards runner last year his name is kamani vidal out of Troy this was the nation's leading rusher sometimes that translates sometimes it don't but this is a guy who can get yards man I love his game he ran a 4 4 6 40 stands 5 8 2 13 kind of got a good little mixture he's kind of got a little Blake quorum in him size wise very compact runner this is a downhill runner this is a north south runner his passing game is very strong he is not you know that's not one of his weaknesses and his burst this is a guy that's a match up nightmare this is a Swiss army knife this is a beach on Robinson this is a Blake quorum douche Vaughn this is a guy that you put him in different positions he's not a liability he's not just you know just kind of bluffing you know say some people do that some teams actually do do that they'll kind of put somebody somewhere just to kind of go okay you know we don't need to worry about him did wherever this guy lines up you need to pay attention to him for sure now Kamani Vidal's bad side is his size and durability size of course you know he's kind of got the Blake quorum size you know about the same size and then durable this is a guy that just was a three down back at Troy got so many snaps but he also got so many yards like I said this could be a guy that's got a lot of experience you take the experience route however way you want to take it when it comes to the NFL some of these prospects going into of course the second level do you like a guy it's got a lot of tread and that's how played a lot of snaps like guys like maybe like a Kamani Vidal or even a brave an Allen or do you want a guy that's just a little bit raw and you don't really know how high their ceiling can get it's a tricky situation of course when it comes down to the running back position but there you go guys there was a whole bunch of both guys edge position and running back you know some of my favorite players and my lists are different than other guys you know it is what it is like I said my quarterbacks are going to be different my wide receivers are going to be pretty close to what a lot of experts think but I'm also having guys that are a little higher on other people's lists aren't as high on mine so you know it is what it is it's it's it's all in the eye of the beholder and it's time will tell on who's going to be right but that's what also makes it fun it's going with your gut and going through all this stuff and looking through tape and you know combine and senior bowls and so on and so forth and just writing stuff down that I saw last year and during the year this year things that stuck out to me maybe the combine guys didn't see you never know I am I going to be wrong on probably half of these guys probably but I want to nail as many as I possibly can and give you some diamonds and rough you know if Kamani Vidal ends up on Los Angeles Rams you know this year in your Rams fan be happy because this is going to be a guy I think that can may not come in day one but this is a guy that can put some game out there man he can play just because they don't get drafted just because they don't hear their name that Thursday you know Friday Saturday I don't mean they can't play undrafted people go become all the famers every single day it is what it is but you got to learn how to pick them and I'm saying I know how to pick them hell no I'm just dabbling at this stuff I I'm just a fan of college football and it translates the NFL because I want to see these guys in college translate into the NFL be big ballers and straight up playmakers in the next level but coming in again a little over an hour college these episodes are so damn long right you're probably going to see him you talk to them much you're probably right but now is the time to promote the patreon app right little over 64 minutes get the patreon app you don't want to hear the ads you know I'm talking about Braylon Allen or you know some of these other guys and the ad comes up for you know some something got or whatever who knows what it is it comes up get the patreon app pay that dollar it dollar a month and you know you get all these ads uninterrupted you get on a little earlier too than some of these other you know streaming sites and like I said unedited unfiltered and no ads you know well how else would you like to listen to see him right as God intended right Jack exactly right so big shots all the countries out there Portugal Canada India Ireland Morocco Poland you got to take the good with the bad right you know but like I said I am I'm just different and you don't want to listen there's just some average Joe you know or or a big-time broadcaster right that you know from one of these major sports broadcasts because that's what they get paid to do I don't I'm doing this for the fun it's for the love of the game straight up the love of the game is why I do this because it is fun to me I love talking to my people's I love talking to you funky's and I hope you enjoy it and like I said if you enjoy it please spread the word that is all I can ever ask of
