Between your dwarves and a lot, like 27 goblins and then a bunch of orcs and other baddies from the Dierlord tribe. Correct. And you re- took the whole level of the halls of how Galleglar and Yund correct in the stronghold of Runondark. So that was good. We brought you from dungeon time to real time and we just said that over those six weeks or whatever it would have been that there was just kind of a stalemate standoff. Right. Then in chat this week, I let you know that there had been some skirmishes. We weren't going to really track those but that you had become aware that there was at least one troll involved on their site. I felt like that would be knowledge you would have gained. Troll in the dungeon. Just so you want to know. So before we jump into a mission brief, are there things anyone wants to talk about with the rooms and teams or with the domains? Where'd he go? I have a new bazaar in Fort Hartwood. Yeah. You've really moved towards the druidic and commercial. Although it's still a big military fort. Yeah. Nobody died in Lork. That's a big deal. Is a big deal. Like at all or? Everyone is immortal. And if you were there at the time. Except you think. The domain. We had some issues from squatters which makes sense. They're the former workers from perfection trying to figure themselves out. So we bought those in tenements and already chased down and took care of the last of the cult. For now. With that cult. Yeah. Well, asters. Yeah. There's probably more. I haven't taken my turns yet but I did gain the master smelter. Right. Yeah. Gumga Arnskull, bearded dwarf who parent was sad to see go. Very sad. And Svetla, the half-orc smelter, are now at Axhole. Right. But they do have their own setup. So yeah. Nice. And then you sent the band. Yeah. So I sent the spell singer and Knoll. Is his name? Yeah. Knoll. It's a fierbold. Yeah. And his band. The Brewstone Troubadours. That's right. The Brewstone Troubadours. And alongside the mountain skirmishers who are a skirmisher team. And a mixture of Goliath dwarf human and other. Yeah. I think they're individually detailed for some reason. Yeah. That sounds right. Yeah. I think because they were one of the first two. Yeah. And so, yeah. So yeah. So I've, so they have now arrived at Axhole. So we now have, no, they've arrived at Roodedark. I mean Roodedark. Sorry. So just as point of reference, we have a team of archers, a team of soldiers, a team of saffers, a sergeant, camp followers, just this year, a team of skirmishers, a spell singer, and then the band. I think you have two teams of soldiers. I think that's right. I think that's one of those Gallagnaurs and one of those. Yes. That's correct. Yeah. You two teams of soldiers. So, yeah. So we have some things covered. And then you have some NPCs there as well. And when we get in the commission brief, Corinne probably wants to be involved. Yeah. As I mentioned that game. Yeah. All right. So, mission brief. We have some brief. Okay. So last time we essentially took hold of the Hall of Gallagord and we have pushed the Dire Lord back. And we anticipate that we have fairly severely weakened their strength by eliminating all that we eliminated last time. There are, I believe, two ways that we can get to what we think is the Dire Lord kind of their Dire Lord stronghold. So we think it could be either in the Art Crown. What is the name? It's the Art Crown. Art Crown's quarters? Art Crown's quarters. You don't have a way up and down. But we don't have a way up and down. But we don't have a way. But there's a, sorry, I didn't mean to skip it. Yeah. No, no, yeah. So, I'll say it. We think it could be Art Crown's quarters, Longbeard or Longbeard Halls. We know that there's a stairwell to go to Longbeard Halls. Yeah. The other and the Ork entrance from the exterior is, goes into Longbeard. That's right. Okay. You haven't necessarily sussed that out, I don't think? No, we did when we went to the top. We, we know. Or no, when we talked to him, I think. You've seen, you've seen where you think it could be, but you haven't seen the opening. Okay. That's how we went out of it and then went back in our little thing. That was what we call main entrance. That was the main entrance. That was the main entrance. Yeah. Yeah. There's at least, well, you know of at least three or four ways into the mountain. Right. And then the halls of hammered stone, we have not yet cleared all the way, correct? I think that's true. I can verify that. Give me a second. Do you know what the water was? That's off of the halls of hammering. The aquifers are down below that. Yeah. So, halls of hammered stone was up the stairs from that, right? That's, we still consider that disputed. So, which means they send the patrols there sometimes. Right. And that's where some of these skirmishes have taken place. Right. But we don't think that that's where the direlord kind of, he doesn't see a new headquarter there. Right. Because we've gotten through most of it, just not all of it, correct? You've explored from the ramp to the entrance. Okay. No, no. You've explored from the stairs that came up and had that secret door, right? You explored from there to the entrance and saw where it went down to the ramp as well. So, you know, two ways up into it and one way out of it. But you haven't, I don't think, been in all the rooms there. That's, yeah. I know we haven't been in all the rooms there. Okay. So, a pause of hammer stone. But you did discover the staircase there that was the direlord staircase right up to Longbeard Halls, right? No, that was up to the bottom corner of Galgar Yand, if you haven't mapped there, it was over there. Oh, yeah, this one, this one. Yeah. If you look kind of bottom left-hand corner, there's some stairs. It was those stairs, because you came up those and then, yeah, you came up those and fought your way west that night. Okay. Along that lower corridor, remember? Yeah. And that's where you first killed some orcs, two sessions, two or three sessions ago. And then this is where we had our big battle right here. Correct. And so. And so, those, those, those pink circle stairs are disputed. Okay. That's where, that's where some skirmishes have happened. And we think those stairs go to... Now, pink ones? Yeah. Go up to Longbeard. Those go up to Longbeard. Okay. All right. So, because, yeah, because this doesn't have, I mean, but again, this doesn't have a direct connection from Halls of Hammer stone up to Longbeard. No, no, this is Galgar Yand. Okay. Okay. All right. I think you'll find the denotional map still that has a hammered stone to Galgar Yand. Correct. In the dotted line circled of direlord controls this. Okay. Okay. All right. All right. So, I think, I think our plan is what makes the most sense is to work our way, is to just go back to where we were in that room to fight and just push up those stairs into Longbeard Halls. And so, this, because this is the key push against the direlord, and we think there's trolls about, we're going to bring some fairly heavy reinforcements. And that may or shall include NPCs who... So, Cournard Axe and any of those folks who want to join us. Okay. So, yeah, we have Gorn the Runecaster, Kalya the Lucky, who's a Justishiar, Cournard Axe is a lieutenant, Beldas Arnax. Yeah. Yeah. So, he's not going to commit everybody, because he needs people to defend the ways that they may come, you know, try to attack what he's already taken, right? But Corin will come with you. He's effectively a lieutenant. Can somebody pull up lieutenant? Is he a navy lieutenant or an army lieutenant? He's an R&T lieutenant. And Kalya the Lucky of Tercil Talk, who's another Justishiar, wants to count. Gorn the Runecaster will take command of the Home Troops. I think the Iron Axe's are going to hang back as well, but even the Scorcher can come. All right, that was a ask. It's in the Scorcher, because, you know, it's, it's, yeah, thematically interesting to you right now, yeah. Even the Scorcher, though, counts only as an apprentice wizard. Well, we've got to figure who's going to take them. That's going to be the big thing. So, it's going to be Iven, the Scorcher, Corn Iron Axe, and you said Kalya of Torcil Talk. Yeah, I think we will bring probably Galaglar, the Justishiar, and then I kind of almost want John to be able to take. Well, now we're just going to leave this bell singer behind. Anyway, I was gonna like, maybe cast sanctuary on myself and just heal, heal, heal, heal, something like that. Is sanctuary concentration? No. Okay. So you could cast sanctuary and have spirit guardians up or something like that. Well, no, no. Then you're doing damage. Yeah. Spirit guardians is damage. You can't do damage while you're in sanctuary. Correct. Okay. All right. Yeah. Yeah. I was just, so I don't want to say like, take myself out of the fight, but like, I wouldn't be like, I, my spell loadout right now is not, there's no damage. Well, I'm glad you offered that because, but you'll probably need to be super heal bot. Yeah. So that's that and honestly, and then Corin likes the idea. Yeah. So level four, um, uh, boars is now, what does that change anything? You have a little two spells. I mean, I did before. So I'm basically the same as last time, except I got my feet. Okay. I did the heavy armor master, so I take three less damage. Nice. Normal attacks. Speaking of that, um, I, in super heal bot, um, I was going to cat, I was going to propose to cast on you, warding bond. It, it joins us. We have rings. We have besties. Uh, you get a plus one to AC, and then we split in half all damage that happens to you. So you would be on front. I'd be right behind you. Yeah. No, that's, that's, that's kind of, that's, so that was, um, all right, that sounds good. What spells are you taking with you? So half damage delta, who would go to you? Yes. Okay. But, doesn't that sound kind of risky for you? Well, if, if he gets the plus one, he's worried about losing the super heal bot. He, he gets the plus one AC out of it. Yeah. Um, but what if you're targeted? Corin wants to know. I mean, if I have sanctuary on me, that would be difficult. Not impossible, but difficult. I mean, I could, I could still heal myself. Uh, cure wounds. Guiding bolt. Healing word. Identify because that's going to be really important. Uh, sanctuary, searing smite, shield of faith, heat metal, lesser restoration, magic weapon, and the prayer of healing. Can, can you cast shield of faith on someone else in a 2014 edition? Yeah. Thank you. Okay. And yeah. So it takes your concentration concentration. Yeah. So tactics wide. So if we are, and, and the idea here is for kind of everybody to be within 10 feet of me. Right. Um, because concentration, it's a saving throw, correct? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's considered a saving throw. So tactics wise, Jack, go big. And, uh, and then, uh, and then boars. So this is, this is a tactic. I would like us to think about. Jack go big, get boars, casts, shield of faith on Jake. I cast shield of faith on me. Uh, we have in the mid row, um, or even at the back is, right, because everything you have is that you're, you're great at range and you're going to have people behind you, archers and et cetera. And then you two guys are kind of meshed in there staying within that 10 foot bubble. And you're hitting stuff with, um, you're hitting stuff with, uh, with told the dead or, um, or those kinds of things as needed. Yeah, guiding bullet, like, but you're can tripping to try to and staying kind of out of range. And you're kind of, and then, you know, you two are staying there. So you're helping to maintain your concentration spells, yeah, all that kind of stuff. Um, and then, um, and then we're going to have, uh, like, as far as the, the NPCs, um, I think we just kind of are going to hold them. They're going to go with us. And then, um, like when we come into rooms, we're going to try to push into rooms. If it's, you know, if it's available, we're going to try to push into rooms to like kind of to the wall kind of thing and then let the archers and all maintain doorways. Um, and so, uh, you know what I'm saying? Like, like, if we were to come into this room, we're going to push on the wall. The archers are going to be here providing a counter fire. And then that should allow some of the NPC melee's to come in. So generally speaking, it's PCs, soldiers, and then skirmishers and archers. I think PCs, NPCs, like, like named NPCs, like managers, NPC managers, right? So the five that, that we got from, and then, um, probably like, uh, I almost think archers, skirmishers, soldiers at the back, because the soldiers could dash forward, um, and help with stuff. That's kind of what I'm thinking, but, um, since we're going to play on one, from one, it's, you know, it's. Now, the, the, when I go big, I get like the strength advantages, but really, it's the extra D6 return. Is that worth it? I'm going to be blocking everything? Like, would you rather be not go big? What does the strength advantage do for you? But I have advantage on strength checks and saving throws. I don't see that as being a big advantage. Right. So it's mostly just the D6, blaming the damage. Like, yeah, once, once per turn, I can add a D6 to my damage when I hit. I think it might be better to manage some of the other runes. Yeah. And, and, and maybe go big as a later. Yeah. Because I, I don't want to like block us that nobody can shoot past you and get three quarters covered every one. Right. Right. Like, uh, unless they're all shooting at us, then you could. Yeah. And then at any point, you can say, jank, go big and jank go big. Right. Um, but yeah, I think one of the lessons learned from last time is maybe we, we save the envisioning a little bit until. I mean, it hasn't been a run out problem, but like, but I would like for you to be able to, to like, especially even if you're, if you have shield of faith from bores, uh, if you're able to do that and do like some of those runes where you use all the reactions, you know, like, like do that. And then you can pop out of that and go big. Like, I think that's a valid option. Also, I was thinking earlier, if we want it, it's, you know, if I'm being super healed by my concentration, it's kind of mostly taken by that, uh, bores has blessed if we're having trouble with ACs and stuff. I don't know. Um, you bring in bless. That's probably what I switched to. What's your future? Okay. How's well? Okay. Oh, also we need to talk about how we're going to do fire damage with the trolls show up. Right. Well, we know they're down here. So that was, uh, item number two on that, uh, so bores, you've been making miracles? I got one large medical set. Do tell something about that situation. So if we run into a troll and we need to do some fire damage to it, somebody can get the manacles on it. What do you think the rules are better? Yeah, you probably have to grapple with it. Yeah. Something is big and grapples it. So yeah, this is why it's here. Yeah. I know you have a short rest. I have a fire room. Yes. And then you are your, your sorcerer, the princess wizard is a fire fire guy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But the backup to all of those things is if we can get some metal on it and they can't get off of it, I can heat the metal and hit up with some fire every turn. Yeah. Yeah. Here's a forum post on manacles. Okay. So to facilitate this, just to help understand something, uh, when all of these people, all of these doors have gotten together and discussed their knowledge of trolls, is it that they think that like, can I just tell you the metagame question and yeah, the metagame question is do trolls regenerate hit points at the end of their turn or at like, like, where in the sequence of events do they regenerate hit points? Because that does have a strategic roll a lore check with a D20. 16. Okay. So after some discussion and argument, because dwarves, right, everybody seems to think that they regenerate at the start of their turn. Oh, interesting. In the, in the combat stack. Okay. So, and that if they take fire damage, and some people say acid damage, and some people say magical weapons, but that's unclear. Right. Uh, then, then they don't always regenerate the following turn on their turn. They don't. Right. So we would mark that with a marker turn here. That's how that would have been drowned. Uh, then they drowned. But did they, did they come back to life and drown again? I think that's what he's saying. Well, drowning works differently. Okay. Drowning's not a hit point problem. Drowning's a different problem. We fight placing water on our head when they're passed out. Oh, you're talking about shaping water? Yeah. How much water are you carrying? It's, I'm, if we find them, like, we fight trolls. And we fire water. And we knock down trolls by water, can't trip. No, no, no. We'll cross, we'll cross that there to the top bridge you say. That's right. To some indicate water. Yeah. And water. See, it's all coming together. Trolls wouldn't hang out under bridges if they were so prone to drowning as you think. But maybe they don't know they're fine. Nobody would use it. They would use fire, right? The jet, the legs, the water would have been caught on fire. Josh. They might live. I didn't know I had such a, I didn't know. I didn't know. I didn't know. I didn't know. You hear it. You hear it. You're bridging. You're bridging. We're on the class of like 20 minutes into the kindergartner in the brittle that I was in. Okay. So a troll strategy could be. We do, we do everything we can to get fire damage as a type or we comes out of nowhere. Right. We kick him out. The strategy is Jimwin dies and he asking it. Let me put him away. That's strategy part the third. So, yeah. So we do a modicum of fire damage and then we concentrate archer, skirmisher, fire on there on that troll in betwixt the turns with the hopes that we can just blast him enough. Yeah, just blast him down. And we see a troll as target number one. Yeah, but I'm saying like like whatever we have that has fire damage of any type. So like the wizard, yeah, Evan, the scorcher doing that kind of damage or if there is, I don't think that's not a clear spell where you can do the, oh, it's magic. You can turn the, you can create up something into a magical item, like five arrows or whatever. A fire damage. Fire damage. Yeah. So you can do fire damage. You can. I wonder what fire was with my fire ring. Yeah. I forgot. I just have, I have sacred flame too. That's radiant. That's radiant. Is it? It's sacred thing. Yeah. So I guess the question is there anything, there's nothing else on the cleric spell list that would do fire damage. They're not real fire building. So, so if you pick it, there's a, there's like continual flame. Yeah. That's what I was saying. Like, is there a, continual flame is just for life. It doesn't do any heat. So that's the energy to pick it in. We don't have any. Do we have the capacity to light our arrows on fire? If we make, if you wrap them in tar, which no one has discussed at all. Oh, it creates no heat. Well, what if we heard, I mean, if we heard, tell that there were, that there were trolls about in these discussions, could he have, because I think he's the only one with a short bow, could he have an X number of arrows that could be lit on fire? I thought you meant all your archers. You're just talking about John's character? Yeah, just as like, some crafting, right? Yeah. Take a turn to light it. Yeah. And then fire it. Okay. Yeah. Action to light. Yeah. I feel like all of our archery guys should have it just anyway. I literally just said that wasn't an option. Right. I literally, yeah. Yeah. That's, that's, yeah. Well, yeah. So, okay. So good. So we have that. So, we will just say that there is a torchbearer with you. One of your, one of your NPCs is holding a torch. Like, okay. I mean, you can stand next to edit and light it off his head. Yeah. I mean, yeah, you know, like, so you can be there next to end. So then you'll do, take an action to light and then fire. So just keep that true. Okay. Anything else? I'm not super happy that we don't have a ton of fire sources in the party, but it is what it is. It's good. I mean, that's why I tried to be like, you guys have noticed the thing, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and then do my best for you. And then look, that's why I'm talking, I mean, really, the meta game of it at all is like, if you can do some fire game in some way, it's going to prevent the regeneration and so that we can like, and I get the trolls are dangerous and all that kind of stuff. But like, are we, are we expecting like a dozen or more trolls? No, I think it's going to be optimal. So, I think with the fire cancer, it's going to be fine. Okay. And I do think it may be, well, I mean, there's no facing rules. So I was going to be like, oh, spread out, but it doesn't really, really matter. Unless he has some sort of sweeping attack.
