I think like what's going on right here should never be happening. It's a very, very sad day in America. I can tell you that. The AP's Julie Walker is also at the courthouse. Donald Trump's Hush Money case is underway. Lots of barricades and police. Police on the lookout for anyone or anything that could become an issue. Opening statements lay out the prosecution's case against the former president and his defense. Trump denies falsifying business records to keep stories of his sex life quiet during the 2016 campaign and calls the case election interference. At Court in Manhattan, I'm Julie Walker. Tomorrow, that aid package for Ukraine could pass the Senate. President Biden has said he'd signed it immediately. But experts warned this has to happen fast if it's going to help Ukraine and its war with Russia. The AP's Charles D'Oledesma. Saturday's passage by the House of Representatives of a much-awaited $61 billion package for Ukraine puts the country a step closer to an infusion of new firepower. That will be rushed to the front line to fight Moscow's latest attacks. But the clock is ticking. Pope Francis has renewed his calls for peace in the Middle East and in Ukraine. Speaking to a gathered audience in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City, Francis said he was following the situation in the Middle East with concern and sorrow. He added, "I renew my appeal not to give in to the logic of claiming war. Let us instead prevail in the ways of dialogue and diplomacy that can do so much." The pontiff added his concerns for Ukraine, which is now in its third year of war. He told the audience, "I don't even think I am going to marry Korea.
