Welcome to the Professional Podcast Network where brilliance meets business, elevate your brand, and supercharge your revenue with inspiring insights and innovation. Hey there everyone, and welcome back to the show. This is your host Phil, and our next guest here today is Frankie Leiva, based at a Red Rock, Arizona with his business called Rooted Spirit Yoga Sanctuary. How are you doing today, Frankie? Hi, I'm doing well, thank you. Alright, I'm glad to hear it. So Frankie, tell us a little bit more here about your business, and what services you offer to everyone? Yeah, of course, so the name of the business is Rooted Spirit Yoga Sanctuary. My husband, Ocean, and I, we started the Yoga Sanctuary about a year ago, we incorporated. We offer yoga classes, guided meditation classes. We also offer some Reiki services and some Thai massage with a focus on providing these services for men, and people who identify as males. Ok, excellent, how long have you guys been doing this all for? So overall, I've been teaching yoga since 2019. I was teaching out of a space in Phoenix, and it was a men's program that we were running there, teaching weekly classes and monthly events. My husband and I have been doing this together for about a year and a half now, and became official last year when we started the business and formed the website and everything. Excellent. So tell us a little bit more here about what you're doing, so is this mostly just classes for people, or how many people do you help usually? Yeah, so right now we're online. We did start teaching in-person classes again, and that was out of a place in Tucson called Karita Center for Health. It's a really nice little center that offers different type of modalities like Tai Chi and Yoga therapy and other things there. And so what we do is offer these classes, you know, depending on who can come, you know, it can be anywhere from one to 30 people per class. Same kind of thing, we do weekly Zoom classes where we switch it up on Saturdays and do a Yen style of practice, which is more meditative and slow and relaxing style of practice. And on Sundays we offer a Vinyasa style class, which is more moving and, you know, heat building and kind of more of that workout yoga than you would see at a gym. And so yeah, we do these classes right now online and once a month in person, the idea is to be able to grow and open up a physical space and not just in Tucson, but one in Phoenix as well. And throughout Arizona just trying to offer our services and yoga for men out there. All right, sounds wonderful. So have you always enjoyed doing yoga and rake here? What first got you started for all this? So no, so the yoga kind of came to me at a time where I was in really bad physical shape. And I was exploring different options. I was looking at a surgery, a surgical procedure, and then I kind of explored other options of what you might go to do to prevent something like that was the type of repair surgery on my ankle until I started practicing yoga out of necessity and really out of desperation. I was desperate to try to do anything to avoid the surgery. And so I signed up at a studio and started practicing, you know, when I could a couple times a week and then really started committing to a daily practice and that's when I signed up for yoga teacher training. It was honestly just for my personal practice to be able to, you know, understand what I was doing and to safely guide myself through a yoga practice and adapt it to my body. And then from there, when they were able to kind of realize that this was something that other people who were like me and, you know, who were dealing with ailments or physical limitations and stuff, I have a short arthritis. And so at the time I had it, you know, going through a huge flare-up with my body and it was not cooperating, I needed something. And yoga really helped with not only my ankle and the physical, you know, part of it, but it also helped with me mentally and overall physically, which was something I had no idea getting into. And so that's kind of how I got into it and from there just started teaching and, you know, sharing it with whoever would come around. All right, sounds good. So Frankie, if our listeners here or anyone else would like to reach out to you or find out some more information about these classes you offer, how do we contact you? Yeah, if you can find my husband and I online, we're at RootedSpiritYoga.com and our email is hello@rootedspirityoga.com. You can find us there and that's where we have all of our information for our weekly Zoom classes and our in-person classes that we're starting to offer, as well as the private classes that we offer, we both offer private instructional classes online via Zoom or we can do them in person too if you're local or we do travel right now to the Tucson area, you know, but looking to expand that as well as wherever the need is, we kind of go. All right. Well, Frankie, thank you again so much for joining us here today. It's been a pleasure chatting with you. Thank you and thanks for having me. I really appreciate it. You're welcome. Have a great day. Thank you, too. Thanks a lot. For the rest of our listeners, stay right here. We'll be right back after the short break.
