(upbeat music) (upbeat music) - Hello, good evening, and welcome to the Talking Cup. It's Friday night. It's the weekend before, or it's a couple of days before a Liverpool phase Manchester City in the Premier League, at Anfield, in what is a massive, massive game already in this season. And I say, already, Kev, but what, this is league game number 14. I think it's number 14. - Yeah, I think it's like 14. - That's even the reason I enjoy it done. But, Kev, before we go into players, teams, injuries, managers, wherever else comes up, as we go through this, it is a massive game, Kev. You know, like, man sitting in the pool are always massive games, because most of the time, we're fighting each other for whatever we're fighting for. And this one feels a bit like, this one feels like it could be a marker for the season, a precursor for how the rest of the season goes. It's that big, isn't it? - It's huge. I mean, we're at the stage already, because of the run we've been on. We're at the stage where everyone behind us now can't afford any more slip-ups. And yeah, we've built up a bit of a cushion, but at the same time, we've seen it before where a couple of results can shake confidence and you can get dragged back. So for a multitude of reasons, for all to sound for them, this weekend is definitely the biggest game of the season. But you say that, it's always the biggest game of the season. The last eight years, nine years, Liverpool, Man City, well, I suppose for the last seven years, Liverpool, Man City, a respective of whether Arsenal or not are men united or not. The yardstick is Liverpool, Man City. You know, if Man City beat us or take points off us and beat us at their place, they generally go on to win the league. And credit whereas due, our record against them in the last few years is poor. They've managed to have the wood over us comprehensively. And it's also a game, I think, form can go out the window. I mean, I ask you, you haven't been, I haven't seen you on the show since before, I've been drinking, you know? When we'd done the post-match, it was still fresh, you know, it was like, but I watched it back the next day. That was the best I've seen this season around this life. Well, but how did you see it? Yeah, look, I'm back at Madrid. And it's nearly the perfect performance, Clef. When you give, when you look at the opposition, and I know, look, you've had all these, it seems to be a season of narratives around Liverpool and you just make up a narrative around Liverpool to put Liverpool down, you know? You know, whether it's a day and really that good or there is an injuries or there out of form or, you know, such an, I've seen fucking nonsense from Arsenal fan saying, "Oh, Liverpool are running on adrenaline and emotion." And, you know, I was saying one quote saying that Liverpool are running on adrenaline and emotion and it reminds them of Arsenal from two years ago. Liverpool are not in luck, Arsenal are two years ago. Because Arsenal do run on adrenaline and emotion every fucking day of the week. I think it's the exact opposite, to be fair. I think of Liverpool running on adrenaline and emotion. I'd be worried because I'd be kind of going, "You know, we're winning games, but it's way too emotional "and it's last ditch stuff everywhere." And it's not that, for me, it's not that. And that's why I say it's nearly the perfect performance. And I have to give huge, huge credit to the players, but the manager, especially. You know, I watched that game on Wednesday night. And I'm guessing again, because I'm going on my lower place with days, I always am. But I watched it live, I watched it with my daughter, who was, for the last six months, has gone just a mile into Liverpool as every day as in the year, about players and news and different things. And she was, I suppose, as emotional as well. Then I watched the back, because I did like watching games back. And for me, with that game, we came out. We're playing a really good ram as well. Let's not be around the bush here, you know? - Once we're left, it was very good. - It was really fucking good. No, don't get me wrong, they're missing Rodrigo, but I'm missing Vinicius, and I'm missing... - They probably are sent to that. - Yeah, he sent them back. - Military, and you're looking and you're saying to yourself, you know, are they missing sure many as well? - Yeah, but I don't think he would have started. - No, I think that, the only thing that would have... - Carva Hall would have started. - Yeah, so Carva Hall is there as well, right? But according to the looked, right, I'm saying to myself, right, I'm missing players. I'm wearing missing the goalkeeper, even though we're goalkeeper at the minute, it's phenomenal. We're missing Jate, we're missing Trent, we're missing low, you know, we're missing players as well. It's not like a straightforward team for Liverpool. And when I watched the game, I thought first half, it was a really good game, nearly spoiled by the referee. I'm going to be honest, you know, he gives a couple of bookings, in particular, grabbing birds, which was crazy. And then he doesn't book Marjorie Jr., I kind of go, "Ah, this fellas a bit." It fells to me a bit like the game against Bologna when I was at the game, and it was a bit like... This referee is not seeing things the way everybody else has seen them. But it was kind of a feeling in the whole process. I felt for the fourth half, you know, they had a goal, we had a goal that we were on the break of it, they were on the break of it, and not a lot was... Overall, not a huge amount was happening, you know what I mean? Although it was a really intense game. But second half, I have to give huge credit to the manager, because the movie makes to tell Bradley not to stay awarded as a fallback was huge, because in the fourth half, he was staying wide and he was staying up a bit deeper. But what was happening was it was leaving a space in that area, which he filled in the second half, where Bellingham and Marjorie, in particular, were just drifting into those spaces and then looking to link with Mbappe. So it meant that when Bellingham and Marjorie could get into that space, can actually have two things to worry about. Does he help where Mbappe or does he stick with the goal that's on the ball? And I really... I talked, Gravimbert was really good at covering spaces as well, but when they move them in their second half, Remers don't know what to do, because they're so used to leaving players up, like Mbappe, but they're kind of going, "Hold on, we can't actually get the ball to them," because look at the amount of times, Bradley caught up the ball from that position or wins the ball in that position. And second half, I thought we were excellent. Really excellent. We give away a penalty. Robertson's pore for it. Kellinger's great saving it. Salah misses one. Miss hits the ball. But it's excellent in getting the penalty. It's a really good goal for Boima Callister when you look at the amount of damage to players that are around their own box at the time of that goal and where he actually starts from and finishes it to get into that space with Brilliant. Gray had up with Gakpo. Could have been more. Korta was brilliant. But settling down after the game, Kev, I just thought, "It's anything but adrenaline and emotion." And I try to ignore it. Well, I do try to ignore these narratives, because a lot of people are talking Liverpool down, but talking enough a lot about Liverpool. And I think it's important for them. And this is only for more than one of you. I think they're shocked. Yeah, I think they're a bit, and that's OK. But I think as Liverpool find this season looking out for me, I'm looking at what I'm saying. Not even about keeping our heads or not getting too emotional. Enjoy. I think the enjoyment factor is massive. And I've said a lot of the women's shows. I'm probably boring people at this stage. But enjoying the learning experience that they're going through. And I'm not saying that Klopp didn't teach the man anything because you have to caveat everything, going back to Klopp. But they're learning something new around the slot. They're learning how he walks, they're learning how he wants to play. He says it's very similar to Klopp. He's slightly disagreeable with that. But once they're enjoying this, I just feel like even if they get some of the bloodies down the house, they go, let's learn from it. And we go again. I think the forest one really bloodies down the house. But they've learned from it. They don't beat him since. You know, they start the way he's on. It was really, really impressive on wens, you know? And it wasn't like, we put an awful lot of energy into it. But we controlled so much in our game, Kef. Like, when we had the ball, there was one stage, Kody Gacko, could have ran and ran and ran. He didn't, he just torn back and went, "This is what we'll all on to it." And let's hold on to our two or three minutes and let's. And they were so confident in themselves to say, "Let's rearrange and reset. "We'll pick the Roy ball. "We'll pick the Roy ball." And that's actually what's done in this season when we rushed ourselves and not picked it and over complicated things and had people running back towards us. I just thought it was really go wins. And I can't have a happy honest with you. It was one of those where I look at it and you get so much satisfaction of everything that was done. For me, it's the one thing that you got to take into the game on Sunday. When you watch the first half, when I watched it back, the distances between the players, we were so close together. We were so compact on the ball, playing one touch passing. You could tell it was like, you're watching the drills they do, the close touch passing drills in training. That's the purpose of it, is you're only passing the ball, you're passing it quick enough. You're only passing it a few feet and you're going. You're not leaving it. There's no danger of someone nicking it. There's no danger of... Well, the only thing that Madrid or hopefully Man City that we can't do is pull someone out of position, then you can go around them. You're forcing them into making lunges and making rash decisions, thinking they can get something when it's not on. That was the difference in, from me looking on as watching a slot side, a watchier club side, is the distance between the players. The amount of risk that's being taken on the ball is dramatically reduced. And that's largely... That's contributed in large parts to how we're conceding less chances. We're conceding less good quality chances, as opposed to the last few years, where the chances that we were giving up were guilt-edged, because we were trying to play too many star passes, too many 15-yard passes when they were probably on, but you were giving the other side a chance to nick it. And that's, if you can take that into the Man City game, bear in mind how Man City have been playing over the last, well, no, over the entirety of this season, because it's not just the six games that they have been won in. They've been doing, this has been on the cards all season long. And if you can keep that kind of control on the ball in the middle of the park, you can open this side up because they're not used to it. They don't like playing against it, and they don't know how to deal with it. Because they haven't had to deal with it. No, and it's been weird watching Man City this season to be fair. You know, they bring going, they come back, and they bring in I call him Savio, but people call him Savino. I don't know, he calls by ball names, I think. And he brought that him in, and it's very much the same squad as last year. And the accusation you've controlled him is, look what you do, you've done far and a row, it's the hunger there to go again. I don't even think it's a case of hunger with them. You know, I want to get into them a little bit more later. I think it's, I think it's just an awful lot of miles and an awful lot of the ex-kef. And that's where I feel it is. And Rodriguez, a massive loss, when we granted him in the Bayport, just going back to Liverpool quickly. And why I emphasise the idea of enjoying things, on the other side of it, I think they're setting themselves standards here that they have to keep. And if they don't keep the enjoyment stops, I think they need, while they're enjoying this, I think the standards that they've set, they need to keep them too. Like, let's talk about, like, I really want to talk about Cortis Jones, where I want to crowbar him in here wherever I can, because I'm watching, and this is not me going, "Oh, Cortis Jones is fucking great. "These are all fucking wrong." It's not that tall. For me, Cortis Jones showed a level of maturity there, didn't he? That, I'm not saying he hadn't got it in him, but I don't think he's shown enough, you know? And, you know, early in the season, even in pre-season, I was looking around and going, "Cortis, you're a bit too slow on it. "And you're a bit too lethargic. "And you're probably a bit too cocky on the ball." And that's killing you. And where you're picking up the ball, and then when they're soil, if you're going to be like that, it is going to kill you. Like, what nearly lost me, marbles went very deep on the right path, so straight to one of the players and the four staff. After standing on the thing for about 24 seconds, I was like, "Will you just move with the ball?" Stop standing, I understand the standing still thing, and I'm waiting. But don't stand still and they're moving to a spot and then just pass when they're there. Just go back to the goalkeeper and start again if you need to. You know the start of the way, and a little things like that, but Cortis Johnson, he didn't know he was one of me, oil out of the game in the second half, where the ball came in, and he looked one way, and a remedy went and he just dropped the shot, went to the way, and then two seconds there, done the exact same thing to another guy, and just took off of the pitch. But the thing about it was the maturity came in for me where, when he broke there, it would have been very easy for him to look and go, "I'm going to trigger in soil," and a slow drill pass, or "I'm going to try to hit one," and I'm going to do something along the end lines. But he didn't. He broke with the ball, and what did he do? He gave it out to the wing. He let us fall back, go by him, and then he just dropped into the hole, and if he's needing me, I'm here, and he gets up back and he plays it. And what does that do to a remedy? Another opposition, it held you. He can break away from you, right? But then he can just control again from there. Control, a control, a control. And I've had to run 40 yards back, because this prick has gone past halvers. And then he's going to get the ball back, and he's going to make me run around for another 90 seconds. And he's never going to lose the ball. I just thought the maturity of him was fantastic. I think loads has been said about Bradley and Roy at least so. But just some of the performance there, I just thought so much maturity. But they look like they're learning, they look like they're enjoying it. And they're at a standard now. I possibly can go a little bit more, because I think there's more in this Liverpool soil in certain areas. But when they go to that level, you have to stay there, do you know what I mean? Because if they don't stay there, they'll have big regrets over the season come the end of it. But the soils are outstanding. And I might surprise you a little bit later about the season as what I think is coming in this season. I think it's coming in this game, but Liverpool are in a fantastic spot at the minute, not just positioning it within leagues and champions leagues. I just think in a mindset, they're in a brilliant position at the minute. Yeah, I think the acid test comes at the weekend. This last seven days has come at a heavy price. Justin, you think you're getting to the parapet or getting players back. You bang, you lose three in a week. And they have to deal with that. And above all sides, to be coming up against. Irrespective of mentality results over recent weeks, they're creating bucket loads of chances. That Spurs game could have finished 4-4. If, you know, on another day, they take those chances. The Spurs keeper made some heroic saves on the day. And I think every keeper that plays against Man City irrespective of where they are and what they're doing this season, their keepers have had to play really, really well, because they have been creating chances. So when you talk about the standards, you're right, but the standards have to be maintained by the players who are going to be coming in, be that Kwanzaa, Gomez, Robertson, whoever plays in the state of the ones who are injured now for a while, then that's the squad I have to step up. Because I think it's the only probably thing that you could level at Arnislav is there is a serious lack of rotation in starting 11 in league games. The fact that I think Kwanzaa and Joe Gomez have played in the region about 100-0 minutes combined in the Premier League this season, and when you got Virgil Venterar, sorry, Mo Sala has played over 1,000. Yeah, I don't know, it is a thing, don't get me wrong. My only reading into this is that, and you've mentioned there a few minutes ago. The distance between players, I'd love to see the stats on how much we're running in games. I'm not saying we're not running, but I watch games, Kevin, and I think to myself, like, there could be genuine pieces of games, or periods in games, where Liverpool literally take 90 seconds, 120 seconds, 150 seconds of rest, where they just turn around and go, right, that's enough. Right, it's enough. I don't think we're sprinting as much. No, we might be sprinting the same amount, but what I'm saying is that instead of you sprinting all the way there to run all the way back to another, you're doing four sprints in a minute, right? Or four sprints in two minutes. You might be, it feels like we're running less distance at a time, if that makes sense. It's just, that's the UI. That's the UI, look, there's no deal with those stats guys out there that say, no, we're actually running more than we did last season, we're doing more sprints to be the last season, but I just think it's not even a lull in the game, I think it's just, when Liverpool get hold of the ball, right? Instead of, you know, Connor Bradley dancing 60 yards, right, I'll use him as an example. He's probably taking a touch, and he's running five yards right and passing the back, and he's moving five yards up the pitch, and then the next time he gets it, you know, he's moved toward the yards up the pitch, and two touches are at a decent speed, rather than a full pelt. You notice, it's just with the UI, that that's where it feels, and it feels to me like, it's, there's a double, there's a double way, and there's, according to your elements, it is. One, I think we are getting more rest on the ball and more more controlled. So even when we don't have the ball, we're in better positions to recover, and when we do have the ball, we have the ability to, A, take this thing of any momentum from the opposition, if you had any momentum over the last minute or two in the game, and make them run around while you're not running the hell out of the lot. And I think that's, I think that's where, I think that's where Liverpool have changed for me. We're regards to how we have the ball, and how we don't have the ball. And I get your point that the lack, as opposed of rotation in the start and 11 is minimal, and the majority that come from those individuals, they give up, but it feels like they're managing it really well, Kev. Like, there's one or two where I go, yeah, he probably needs to come out with that. He can't deal with it, you know what I mean? Or he's, like Robertson, from me, just has played too much football after an injury, way too much football after an injury. But I think he can manage him as a Liverpool player. I think that's when everyone else gets a break, or gets looked after on international duty, look average, like Robertson's out there playing 94 minutes at the game. Do you know what I'm saying? And then I look at, I still think Sarvazly is getting used to this pace, and also getting used to the fact that he's no winter break. So I think they're trying to, I think they've seen it last year, and I think they're trying to stagger him into what'll be a huge period from me, December 14th or 18th onwards. So I just think, I just think that I can't, I can't get any head that are in a really good spot, and I don't go into any game thinking, we might be tired after that one, nah. 'Cause I think they're both going to turn around on Sunday at some stage and go, we're keeping this bar between minutes, and you can run around after if you want, and if you don't want it fair enough, you'll notice right away. I just think the way he has them, it's really impressive, it's just really impressive. - It is. - It's impressive. - All right, there's look, nobody saw this coming, and anyone who says they did is, I'll just call them a note in their face, because we knew that there was going to be changes, we knew they'd start at a different style of play, but the fact of the buy-in from all of the players, from the whole squad, is, yeah, I think, who's interviewers are watching? See, it might have been Andy Robertson when he was doing a CBS one post-match in Madrid, and he was asked about the changes, and you could tell the enthusiasm in his answer, when he was talking about the positivity of embracing all of the new changes that the new coaches are bringing in, the new voices, the new analysts are looking at different things, different aspects, they're showing them different things individually. So if you have a manager who's been at the club, it's not a slight un-club, so, you know, when I say this, but when you have a manager who's been at a club for a long time, and the coaching staff don't change, players hear the same voices, they have the same drills, yes, they change them up a little bit, but it's the same, it's the comfort blanket. The comfort blanket's off, and you'd go back, Keith was talking about it with an interview, he saw with a fine-ard fan, not long ago, actually, said that Slat will be ruthless, and when it comes time in the transfer, when you might see big names, unexpected names, go, because he wants to bring someone else in, who suits his style better, and we might be shocked by that, but he knows what he's doing, he was going on like, we haven't seen anything of how it's going to end up like, and if it's like this, now, waiting till it, you know, it kicks on and it's 18 months in, and he's two, three transfer winners, that. - How do you think of? - Anything's possible with this? - Yeah, anything is possible. - I just think he's been so impressed and it's a lot so far, and this is like, he's passed every test, really, that's been put before him, and this is another huge one, you know, this is against, this is the, these are the, these are the goals you measure up against, everyone have measures up against every season, and you know, I have new, I have huge issues with Manchester City, everyone knows that, I have had it for a long time, I have huge issues with Manchester City, but, you know, taking all that away, these are the ones that, you know, they're the yardstick. - That's standard. - Yeah, the yard is standard, even if it's extremely tainted, standard in my opinion, but it still is the standard, as it's being allowed to happen. I still think of the argument comes that, you know, people, you know, people are saying there, you know, when, you know, I think Richard said, in the chat, he said, when, when, when Slock gets his players he wants, and boy, he was talking about Saba's life. You know, he gets the players he wants behind him, he feels that, you know, that player could go on a level and wake up a level. - Oh, you actually do, I think the way we're playing at the moment, I think it, like, when you're playing really well, people think, what do we need? Do we need anything? I think the better we play here, I think it lends more to the argument that yes, you bring in another main failure. And the reason being is it's not a anyone, it's not a turnaround and go, right, grab and birch, McAllister, Saba's Lloyd Jones, if you want to show Ellie in their end, though it's not a L, any of them. But what it is to do is, it's to allow us to up the amount of work we're doing on a regular basis in games, rather than trying to rest players in games, you know. And we like resting in game, but it means then that we need to go the extra 10%. We've got extra body there that you can go, listen, you know, McAllister, you're at 100% on Wednesday night. We probably need you at 90% on Sunday, do you get me? But don't worry about it. Go at your 90%, go at everything you have, because you're not going to play during the week, we're going to bring in player C. And he's going to play. So it means he can leave more out there, you know, the sort of way. But the way that managing things is being brilliant. Look, the game itself, it's a huge game. Liverpool's currently set eight points clear to Manchester City, nine points clear of Arsenal, not a couple of soils around there as well, but they're the two you're going to be looking at, you know, and Arsenal play West Ham on Saturday even, I think the way I have for you. - Oh, I expect the wind. - Yeah, I expect the winder, I think. - Yeah, I think West Ham are the really good win away, and they will pass away, I think West Ham are poor. I think the manager is terrible, to be fair. And I think Arsenal have a good record there, barely a cup to see. They have a decent record against West Ham. Although last season, did they draw on the West Ham, did they only show on the West Ham? Maybe they did. - But it's, I was more impressed with Arsenal mid-week, and how they played on the ball, down the wing, with Audegard Saka, that link up play, it's clinical, it's ruthless. And when they're on that, the more that they have them on the pitch, they'll pick up wins. They should be going to West Ham and win it. - Yeah, I do expect them to win on Saturday, so it makes Sunday a big game, but... - Yeah. - What way do you think both sides approach this one, Kev? Because I'm gonna be honest with you. I've seen Pep wear the old, at the height of his parallel Manchester City, come to Liverpool and go, you know what? If we get a draw here, wear the gap, because they haven't got a great record at Liverpool, they've won once in about 24 years, and I'm feel maybe more, and that was in the... - Twice, I think. - They have two wins in Anfield. We're only one in the league. - They've won in the COVID. - Yeah. - They've won in the COVID, you know? And I can't remember another one. On the club, I think the only last ones are home to them. But what I'm saying is, is that, he, like, if he's three points behind Liverpool there, on Sunday, he comes in there and he says, "Let's take a point." We beat him at home, we're level on points, and we back ourselves to win more games over the last 17 games of the season, or 18, 20 games, whatever it is, right? But this one, Kev, just a man, see. They have to win this, Kev. - They have to. - Or is it a must not, Lewis? Do you think he's right? - No, look, we're sat on 31 points. They're sat on 23. There's an 11 goal difference at the minute. Now, one thing that you can say under Arnus Lop is comparing to previous Liverpool sites. We don't score as many goals, but we aren't conceding as many, all right? So our goal difference is okay. It's, we're, we're, we're, and I know you hate XG, but we're where our XG says we should be over the season so far. We aren't over performing it, we aren't under performing it. We are where we should be. Man City, strangely enough, are the same. If you look at their XG over the season, they're bang on where they're supposed to be. Chances conceded, chances scored. You could almost say that goal difference. You could look at it as an extra point. So the room for maneuver for the sites below us now is evaporated. It's gone. Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, anyone else think you're chasing, cannot drop games anymore. So the games that they play against each other, one of them is losing ground on us. So, for Man City, they have to pick up six points against those two seasons. And that even, that even that isn't enough at the minute. They still need us to drop at least two games on what they achieve. So anything less than three points from Man City is disastrous. And they'll have that in their head. They know all this, their experience side. You know, you talk earlier about the, you know, about the age of the site. When the age comes experience, the players know how important this game's going to be. And the players talk. You know what I'm saying? They're strange just to each other. You know, versus Van Dyke and Kevin DeBroyne are in each other's ear all the time. - Yeah. - So, it's like the likes of Kevin DeBroyne, Ilkite Gundagant, Bernardo Silva. - Start your electric journey right here, right now. It's another humiliation and coupled that with how they threw away a three-goal lead at the weekend. Mentally, there must be really fragile at them and they have to be. It's bad enough being on a run that they're on, I mean, losing to Spurs the way they lost, but throwing a three-goal lead away to fine art in the manner that they did, that must be crushing for them. And any adversity that they face on Sunday, go behind one, can't get ahead in the game. Anything, it could be anything and they could crumble. We don't know how they're gonna react 'cause they've never, as a squad, they've never been in this situation. They've lost a few games, they've lost two, I think the most they ever lost with three games back-to-back across different competitions. They've never been in this situation and they haven't had to deal with it. A lot of these players haven't had to deal with it ever. You know, so how they react to Sunday is massive. We need to just be ourselves, do our job, play our game, play the way we have been playing and I'm not saying play within ourselves, but play the game on its merits, play who you're, play your opponent, look for where the spaces are gonna be because there will be spaces and exploit the spaces that are left. Man City, you have to look at us and say, Christ, they've conceded eight goals in the league. We have to, and we've an average of scoring two. Over 12 games, we've scored an average two goals again. So, and we're at home, where we don't generally lose and they don't generally win. All of the, all things I've just said say, we should be winning this Sunday, but it's Man City, you'd never know. You'd never know how these games could go. - Yeah, it's like Lucio says, there are 26 games to go, it is 26 games to go, but the thing about this league is, it's just one consistency about this league is, if the top team or the top two teams get ahead of Steam, very little stops. And that's what you're seeing 100 points, 99 points, 97, 8 points, 97 points, 94 points. And teams drop on less 20 points. 20 points are less in a season. That's where it is, and I completely understand Lucio's point with the 78 points to play for a long way to go. There is a long way to go, but you see what happens, because you're in such an elite level of football, even the most elite players, even if they're nine, 12 points behind, they coined the no, that they're going on the other side. He's elite as well, and they'll absolutely roll on that nine points clear, and they'll hammer on it. You know what I mean? I'm Wendy Hammer on it, it's very fucking hard to stop them. For me, with City, as I said, it's been weird watching, I think they're still a fantastic soil, the goalkeeper is excellent. I think the huge question marks are of a coil walker, because he looks like he's a yard off, and people would say, "He's a yard off, a coil walker's still learning fast." It's not so much the pace. It's that take off. And when, I don't care how fast you are, have you ever felt like, look, the incident last week for me was a killer for coil walker. Team Overna puts his head down, pushes a pass, coil walker asks for it, and Team Overna, you know, obliges and pushes a boy, and he's four yards past coil walker before coil walker, and he's running with a football. And coil walker never makes that ground up. He never makes that ground up. And the problem is, if he has to go really soon to make that ground up, and what happens then is, in a player's mind is, fuck, do we need to drop a yard deep by here? Do we need to get a bit taller here? Do we have to, and then the defensive line suffers? But when you look at it, like a kanji's being brilliant for them, Ruben, Diaz being excellent, gradiol is probably being the best player of the season, but he looks a bit ropey in the last couple of games. Kevin De Bruyne comes on last Sunday, wherever it was, and Kevin De Bruyne looks like he's blown out of his arse after 10 minutes in game. He looks, and I'm not saying the fella isn't professional, anything like that, don't we, he just doesn't look fit. It looks like they're running him. It looks like they're running him through a pre-season boy playing him. And that's what it feels like. And it's telling that a trainee'll down, he's brought on with 20 minutes to go. You know what I mean? He should have went Kev, listen, there's no point here, he could get injured, he could leave, but he don't, you know. - They need you, they need you. - Really? And I miss, I miss some players, but let, I'm the miss some players though, right? And look, we're gonna talk about one of Liverpool's missing, couple of miss some players for Liverpool in a minute. I'll stand by this argument, I'll stand by it for Mansey, for Arsenal, Andy for Liverpool, 'cause Liverpool have got players out, probably will have more at the end of the season. If you wanna win a league, Toyo, Kev, you don't go through a season where they'll have an injuries, suspensions, losses, a farm, and be able to deal with. And whoever deals with a best win today, that's my opinion, right? - Yeah, you're not right. - And I think it's a fairly watery opinion, right? Liverpool lose players and sometimes adapt really well, sometimes don't adapt at all, yeah? Man, that's the big thing for me when Mansey, I don't think they've adapted to, I think they've nearly felt themselves, they've got a bow of having to adapt because they're missing players. When in truth, when you lose Rodriguez, these should be saying that, we have the looks, no, we're no docu-syringer, but we have docu, we've fallen, we've hound, we've fucking, if we can get the bro in the back game for half an hour again, we have, we've greenish, we have players that can absolutely destroy teams on the break because not only are they fast, but they're very quick thinking. And just take your medicine for four or four weeks and go, listen, let them have a little bit more at the ball and let us then exploit the spaces, 'cause they're brilliant, are they? And I think they haven't, I think they've gone out and tried to be front for all the time and teams have went, they've no legs in my field. We're gonna play through my field here, I'm gonna hurt them and they seem like they're a bit out at the back and for me, I think it's the most we can ever see, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was glad he all, if I was glad he all I'd go into Anfield and something, go, don't lose. Where are you trying? - I'm trying Nicky. - Well, but no, look, what I'm thinking is, don't lose the game. If you get a one-on-all drawer, two-on-all drawer and they'll all drawer, you're eight points behind them, but let's, let's kind of see our way through these choppy waters at the minute. And if we can come out of it with players coming back and they're not gonna get rude to you, but if you can get other players back and you're going eight points to drag in, they'll point to Liverpool being 12s toward the in-boying them two seasons ago. You know what I mean, two or three seasons ago. And they'll point to that and go, we can do, we can do what they don't. You're not a sort of way. The only thing I think a man sees head is if it was anybody else will Liverpool, 'cause I think man's C.E. look and go, they go 11 points clear of us. It's over. 'Cause Liverpool will just run on momentum and it's not adrenaline and it's not a motion, they just run on momentum and the crowd gets up and they just go and they have this thing about them. But for me, the approach for C.E. Might be, might be, don't lose on Sunday, but I think they have to win. I think they have to get this back to 40 points. If you don't get it back to 40 points, if it stays L.A. or goes to 11, I can see them pulling back against us. I simply can't. - No, I can't either. I mean, look, to say it can't happen, it can, obviously it's happened before. But you can count on one hand the amount of times it's happened before. And they are missing, arguably, the best player of the last two years in the world. Roger is the linchpin of that side. Roger is the kind of player who allows Man City to play the way Pep wants to play because he's so good at reading the play, intercepting the ball. I watched a video of, it was just a camera that was on him and he was talking it through what he was thinking or what he was doing with someone else. And his head was on a swivel all the time. He sees everything around him. You go back to Prime Busquets, that's why he was like the absolute best number sixers in the world, bronze sides. And he is that without a question. And he facilitates the likes of Kevin DeBroyda to be able to play at 75% fitness. He allows Bernardo Silva to have the freedom of the pitch and in what Man City did in the summer in their biggest mistake of the summer. In allowing Alvarez to go to Eleticon Madrid and not replace him with a forward, he allowed everybody to be able to supplement talent and to be able to help talent. Once that was gone, Carvecic is the next one in line. He's nowhere near that level. He's a good player. He's a good Premier League player, top six player, but he's not special. And he doesn't allow the others to do what they need to do. And the problem that they have is coupled that with losing Ruben Diaz at the back and only having talent as a striker, he's the only one at the club. They're not able to maintain what they need to do on a consistent basis. So you might have to soak up pressure for 20 minutes at the start of a game against Man City, but you know the space will come in midfield. Gundgen can't run, you know. Bernardo Silva can't cover the accuracy he used to cover five years ago. So you factor all of this up. Sides have realized very quickly you survive for the first 20 minutes, half an hour. And then you exploit the space. Every site in the Premier League has runners in midfield. Every single site has wingers that are quick, you know. And they've all looked at how City are playing and how easy it was for sides to get at them and to get your Man City of last few years don't give up this many chances. And they don't give up this many quality chances either. So even if they come and get a result against us, they're not showing anything this season to show that they had the ability to be consistent, to maintain the levels that they have been used to over previous years. And that's the difference between us and everyone else over the season. We've maintained a consistency in results. Not so much performance is because some of it, we've had a few ropey performances, but our results have been absolutely consistent. You know, we've been picking up wins when we've played badly. We've been securing wins and comfortable in wins when we've been good. And then you get a knight like Madrid that shows you what's possible. And if you can back that up against the Man City side and go more points clear, that will send shivers down the spine of everyone else chasing. Other sides we're looking at and start thinking, okay, first is gone, we're looking at two, three and four. Can we now jump above city and make them sweat? That's how it could play out. - Yeah, it's interesting because like, you know, looking from a Liverpool point of view, Liverpool have picked up two injuries this week, Parnar Bradley. I don't think there's been an update on Parnar Bradley. I might be wrong. I know Evil Canante, it looks like four over six weeks. He has taken the social media to say he's very frustrated at the injury. Literally the last second of the game, but he said he's gonna walk as hard as he possibly can to get back him when he gets back. He's gonna come back as strong as he possibly can. It was very, very unfortunate as to what happened to him. But this is case in point, Kat. This is where Liverpool have picked up two injuries this week. They have a Roy back that's only coming back from an injury in Trent. We have another one that's gone out injured. We have a cent I have now that's gone out before it this week. We've just got it out, we have Alison Hill, and there's somebody else in there, definitely, as well. Awesome. Second, we have Kiaiza that hasn't come into the squad yet. We've got Herby, Elia, who broke us, broke our fracture foot. So we've got loads going on, but there's not an awful lot made of that, whereas if it was other clubs, you know, who they are, everything would be a fucking week long documentary on it, you know, Parnar? I might be doing something on it. But I don't like bringing that up because I'd like to see what are the solutions, you know. It's unfortunate for Canate, but I think now is the time for Joe. I think it might be Joe Gomez, where is the time for him to step up. And Kwanzaa is ready to go, as well. You know, there is concern over Robertson because he's playing a lot again. But I think he's OK. I think he'd be managed by Liverpool. I think it's OK. I think it's the international stuff that's killing him. But Liverpool going into this for me. They don't. I don't think they should make it. I don't think they should try make it as big as people think it is. I think Liverpool should continue on. There are merry way here of going into games and going. Let's go. Let's play our game. If it's not going right, let's learn from it. Let's adjust and let's win the game. And I think Liverpool have a really fucking tough game. You know, it could go anyway. It could genuinely go anyway because let's not talk as a man so you don't have 11 really fucking really good footballers around the pitch on Sunday at four o'clock. But for me, where everything going on around the waist that you're playing, the results are getting, that one I'm choosing would have killed them. I think it's a real opportunity for Liverpool to lay down another America. And I think it's a real opportunity for Liverpool fans in that ground to lay down another America and keep their good rule of farm going, if that's OK to say. Because I think the stadium's been excellent for the last half dozen games anyway. And I just think, don't make too much of it. Don't overthink it. That's what I want Liverpool to do. Not overthink it. Go and play it. If Joe Gomez has come in the center half, he's played low the center half average Van Duyck. He's played against, you know, he's played against Mansey loads of times. Do you want to play as? Do you want to play as against Mansey? Last season with the average Van Duyck in that game when we beat the Monilla? I think it is last season. You know, it's absolutely OK. I understand people go more down to so many bodies. We are, but there's more coming back. They're coming back. They'll be steadily back. It's all about managing games. And I think that's where Liverpool should approach it. Go and play again. And whatever happens happens. If you draw, you draw. If you win, brilliant. If you lose the game, look, you take it on the chin. That's what happens. You're not going to go all the season. Beaten every team in the top six are unbeaten against every team. The top six. But what John also says there, you should be smelling blood. And I agree with him. I think, yeah, I'd love to. I'd love to put one on city in the four, 15 minutes ago. Right. Yeah, one nail down there. What are you going to do? See, I think Kwanza starts. And I think Kwanza starts if Bradley wasn't injured, and Costas wasn't injured. I think Gomez starts. I think the problem you've got now is you've got two full back. We've got three fit full backs at the club. But one of them is only coming back. And Joe Gomez will have to be used to cover both. Because they can't play every game. And the games have got to start coming, thinking fast now. There's no more international breaks. There's three games a week for the foreseeable future. And this is almost like a case. So Sla's going to have to learn how to manage the squad as well. Because all of this is new to him with the volume of fixtures. They don't have this volume of fixtures in the Netherlands. So this is the first time he's him and his coaching staff are coming up against this as well. So it's literally there have to be a metronomic about this. So OK, we play Man City. We get a huge game analyzer. Give your team talk to the players. Tell them how you want to play. Players won't play. Forget about it. What coming Monday session for the next game. And that's how they have to be about it. They almost have to be very analytical about how we approach games then. Love to see us go at City early, get the crowd right up. But I don't think we will. I think we'll see how City want to play. And that's how we've pretty much played most games. So we started the Madrid game really well. Darwin had a really good chance early on, pulled a good save afterwards. I think that's how we'll approach it. If the space is there to exploit, we'll exploit it. But it's going to be the first 20 minutes. Keep the door closed. And the more the pressure builds on City then, you have to do something. You have to do something different because you can't get through. Holland can't get the two or three good chances of game. But do you see? You normally get. Just come back to City and it's probably a mirror Liverpool's approach or have some sort of talk and Liverpool's approach. Do City look to come and get out with these blocks early? Because a lot of people in the chat there, I mentioned in City's lack of running power. You know, I think my apologies. Sorry, in the same comment that John was talking about, Smell and Bloody says, we kind of need an old-scale club toy performance. City cannot cope with teams who can run. They look all slow and they're brittle, in his opinion. So do City come out here and go, lads. The longer this goes on and the more tempo gets to it and the longer the game goes on, we don't feel that we can keep up with this in a running sense. And we don't feel we have the players off the bench to affect that as much as probably they do. Do City look to come out with the traps quick here, get a goal and then go, really, we're going to put it all down to the fender and if we can hit them on the break, so be it. Massively, they have to. You know, it's the one thing that they do have. They have a striker who, if he gets good chances, will put them away. They have quick winners. In Phil Foden, on his day, they have the best player in the league. On his day, he is technically brilliant. When we first saw him coming on to the scene, we all said, like, this kid's going to be a fucking nightmare for a decade and he is an absolute world-class player, if you give him space to play in. So I think City have no choice but to come out at us for the first 20 minutes because that's when they're fresh. They know that if this game is tight and you're at 70 minutes, you're looking to affect the off the bench. Even with the injuries that we have, I think we have players who can affect the game off the bench more than what they do. And they won't be, they won't fancy the running that we will be able to put on them on the 70th, 80th minute. So their best chance is really, truly get a lead, get two goals if you can. Sit back, soak it up, play a highland off on the break with Doku or with Savinio, and try to hurt us that way. Or they'll play more likely be Foden and Savinio. The only thing about Savinio, Savinio doesn't score much. - Yeah. - He doesn't score a really good player. - Yeah, quick. Really quick, good dribbler, a good provider. But he's not gonna track back, he's not defensively minded in any way, shape or form. So I think they have to attack the first 20 minutes. Try to get something on that, and then look to be smart on them all after that. Even if they gotta do that for 45 minutes, and we gotta live with it for 45 minutes, that's fine. I don't think they can do that for 95. I don't think they could live with us for 95 minutes in the same way that we can live with what they'll bring. Yeah, CT is 11, you know, as much as you talk about, you know, injuries or whatever else. And I don't kind of sit halfway in, just 'cause everyone has them, and you know, I could give you a staring at 11 where I was-- - But they are important. - In this game, they are important. - But they are important, okay. Bro, he could give you an 11 where I could say Alison should play, and Jotty should play, and you know, Trent's not really fit, so Bradley should really play, you know, Robertson's played too much for both. And so maybe Simma could really play Calate's out, he should really play, you know, the sort of way. And we'd love to have a new-- - It's just where they are in respect to their fitness. If Ruben Diaz comes back in at the weekend, I think he will. Ruben Diaz started the weekend. Ruben Diaz hasn't kicked the ball and anger in a good way. - Yeah. - You know, he ain't gotta be a match fit. - Which I'll probably, which I'll look at that. Here we look at it. - Here we look at it. We're looking at it. - Edison's go-go, carwalker, a kanji. - Ruben Diaz and Gavadio, that's back. - Vadio, it's stones not around, no? - No, it doesn't look like he's gonna make it. And if he did, I think he'd wanna use stones in the middle of the pack. - Okay. - So middle of the pack, I think that-- - Who's he looking at? - Will be Bernardo Silva going to go in, and he's gotta flip the coin. Does he play Matias-- - Oh, you know. - The broiler that Matias, Matias Nunez, one of those two. - Oh, what's the name, Ricole Lewis? - Ricole Lewis, he won't. He won't play Ricole Lewis. If he plays Ricole Lewis in this, Curtis Jones will have a field there. 'Cause Ricole Lewis, I mean, Chris is constantly saying it. He doesn't see what it is about. I think he's a tidy footballer against sides who are beneath their level, you know, against sides where City are gonna dominate the ball, and he can look good in those games. I watched him for England, and he looked so far out of his depth. You know, and that's an international football. This is a level up from that. You know, I don't think he's anywhere near-- - So we're not Edison. - We're at Edison Walker, a kanji. Diaz, Vadiol. - Yeah. - And then you're looking at going to-- - Bernardo Silva. - Bernardo Silva. - Bernardo Silva. - More than likely, the broiler. I think he'll have to risk the broiler, even if you can get an hour out of him. - So the broiler, and then he's looking at a frontry of Grilish Foughton-Hallett. - Grilish Foughton-Hallett, or maybe he-- One of the other options he could do is drop Foughton into midfield eight. - Yeah. - If he's got Savino's play with-- - Grilish-Hallett. - So it's still plenty of players there. - No, it's so quality. - Yeah, yeah. On the Liverpool side then, you're looking at Calhoun-Gull. You're looking at, I think Trent will come back in and play. - Yeah. - Trent, I think he'll go Gomez. I think he'll go Van Dijk, I think he'll go Robertson. And I get the point about Gomez having to cover, but the thing for me is that, if we're in the game and anything that happened to Trent or Robertson, he can just bring on Quanta for the input, Quanta in and move Gomez, or it or so. But I think, at the moment, just the way the season's gone, with Quanta, I think it's a massive learning curve from. I think he was excellent in pre-season, and I'm so upset after the year switch game, but he just hasn't got to look in because Quanta has been excellent. But that's how to say Quanta hasn't been brilliant in training. It's not like he's becoming a little bit cold, but I think he's sort of had a really confident in himself, so, but I think he'll go Gomez. That's what I think he'll do. And he'll do Robertson. I think he'll do Graff and Burch, McAllister Jones again. And I think he'll do Diaz, known as Salah. But maybe Gatbo has an argument there. No, I think it'll be... The only way I think he starts Gatbo is if he plays Lewis Diaz through the middle. Chris Bracks is awesome. Sorry, Chris Bracks is supposed to be fit. Stone's is 50-50, and Docker was due to be back. Yeah, but you're talking injury pro, or coming back from injury, coming back from injury, coming back from injury. He might throw the kitchen sink at it and play all of them. But even if he did, I don't think Akke gets into their best back four at the moment. Or maybe what he does is if he's in the game on 70, he can say to a docu in particular. Come on on there for 20 minutes, yeah. I mean, you have me playing in the last couple of weeks. But having said that, you know, I think all these players have been in this side when they've been not good this season. When they haven't been their convincing man city this season, that's what they say they won't come out around feeling and be fucking warbeaters because we've seen it before. And where you think city are kind of it's a bit row, be here and see you go, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. But it's an intriguing one. It really is an intriguing one. But it'd be interesting if he does start with Lewis Diaz as a false line, because there will be space in that area between the center backs because they don't have a sitting six. The only thing I'd say to that is, Kev, if he plays Gondigan, right? Yeah, I don't think Gondigan wants to be caught high up the pitch. 'Cause the big thing for me on Gondigan is, Gondigan, it's season before, whenever it was, like the season before I last, he was fucking unbelievable, he was everywhere, right? He won the label and see him, right? He was unbelievable, right? But the big thing for me was Tottenham Hotsports got out of the far goal there. It might be, no, the toward goal last Sunday. And I don't know who it is in the midfield, it goes past Gondigan. - Sorry. - It was just past him. It might have been sorry, it might be whoever it was, whatever it was, whoever was playing. But see, I'm at one of them, right? And what happens is, when the player takes off at the ball, Gondigan instead is chasing. You can see Gondigan flailing after him. I'm pointing to other players to say, "Well, you come and get this fella," because he knew he was there with the game. So I think if he plays Gondigan, I think he might say, "Gondigan, you're either going to play "the highest of the training failures. "Are you going to play the deepest? "I'm not pointing you in that middle of the parrot part." Because I think you'll see, see, we're at a four, I think Bernardo Silva is a model to go into that middle of the field, but I think he might actually play Bernardo Silva and Gondigan be sorry to each other. I think he might actually play them right beside each other and two. And then he'll say to himself, "Right, I'll be folding them in front of them." And that'll be me, too, but I have to keep, I either have to keep Gondigan close, there I go, or close to where's a camper in the middle of the pitch, because I think Gondigan is a killer. And I think even Jones is a killer. And that's just for me watching a game where it's C.E.A. chasing, and next thing, Spore's break. And it's only about 10 minutes in a second now. And honest to God, he's pointing at anybody. He's pointing at anyone he can to try to come and fill this gap that he's left. And that's where I think it is. It's such an intriguing game. Stephen Foreman says, "How do we come, remember?" And what's this telegram talker here I go, "If you want to become a member, "there is a join button, if you are watching. "I believe it's different than Android and Apple. "I think on Apple you have to hear a join button "and then log in somewhere. "And then they'll put on Android, "you can just hit join, pay up for the month, "and you can come along." Telegram, when you do join, if you join, you email us to say, "I'm a member now, "we double check it and we get you into Telegram group." It's like a chat group. It's a bit of crack. We have a couple of members join. That way our members put the soil to join the telegram and they got absolutely grilled for 24 hours. And because of our ourselves in the group, let's be fair. But the group is, if you have tin skin, don't go into the group. Just gonna say that here. Do not go into the group 'cause everyone gets absolutely hammered about everything 24 hours a day. But it's a really-- - They want an audience to know it's a dog size. - It's really good crack, but it's, just don't take anything anyone says seriously. That's the only thing I would say to you. And if you are watching-- - It is good. - Yeah, if you're ever watching, hit subscribe, hit like, please leave us a comment in the live chat. I won afterwards. If you want to join and become a member, please do so. It's $3.99 a month. And we lash on. Do you know what? We probably don't do enough member shows 'cause we like to give a lot back to people that are watching. But I've drawn up a plan, Kev, starting them. Yeah, I've drawn up a plan starting on Monday, which will give more back to the members in terms of shows. But we'll also give an awful lot more to people that follow us on the likes of TikTok, on the likes of YouTube shorts and stuff. I've drawn up a plan and I'm hoping to put it in place from Monday. So you're going to see probably a little bit more of the talking cop from Monday. We're regards to stuff throughout the day and little bonus bits here and there. So there you go. John also says we cannot let our hustle win this league. Absolutely delusional fan base. Seeing their fan say that we're not just born. Who just lost our mind. Joe is better than us destroying ramen. Yeah, I've seen that from, what's his name? I don't know if I have something to do. Robbie, who did say that. But listen, there's two things to that. He either believes and for him or he doesn't and he's got all of you to interact with just the game. Yeah, and that's probably the game. Exactly. Whatever way it was, the best to look to him or if no fucking interested in what him or any other fan of him, any other team has to say where it's to be fair. But Kev, prediction. Before I rush those truths, the last question, I don't know, prediction. Tuna Liverpool, Salah and Darwin score. I think Darwin's been threatening for the last few games that he's played. Yeah. And Kourtwa made a really good save early against. He'll go save as he makes against him. Yeah. And I just think he's borderline about to get-- Darwin's a streaky striker. Oh, and I think he's borderline ready to go on one. Right. Here's my tag on Darwin and he says, I fucking love him. Right? I'll stand up from the-- and listen, I don't die on hills. I don't go on hills and go, I don't care. He's fucking brilliant, or he's fucking true, and he's going to keep saying as he leaves the globe. I'm not that person. But I'm virgin and I will be with Darwin and it's because I'm not even-- I watch things that I don't like have. And I think it's a brilliant save from Kourtwa early. Gets down so well, right? And from what's a really good attempt. And it's a really good build-up. You know, it's a really good running makes everything else. The one that falls in the box, he's going after it. Kourtwa's out like a fucking lie. Where else he meant to put the ball? He's brilliant. Yeah, exactly. But he's walked right to that lie. Running defenders in the channels. Challenging-- he leaves the head a little bit. And you're worrying, Jesus Christ, this fella's going to get sent off. And-- but I think he's-- I don't-- I'm nearly fucking tempted not to say this because people are like, oh, that's a fucking excuse for him. But it's not-- we're talking about learning on the job here. And I think he's one of the main ones that's learning on the job. Because if you look at the amount of chances we actually made for a center forward, it's not that many. It's actually not that many, right? But you have to take the chances when they come. And he's being guilty of not taking some chances, OK? That's absolutely fine. And I'm never going to argue that point because it's right in front here that he's had chances of having taken. But I think he's learning more and more about the link or play, little positions to take up when we have the ball and when we don't. And I think it's progressing nicely. We can add some goals. Brilliant. But when I look at-- when I look at Jotter in the team, I think Jotter on his three goals this season. But Jotter feels like, oh, Jesus, Jotter's there with the team. Because Jotter's walking so hard for the team and linking stuff up as well. So I think I really want them to do well. And as we say on a Sunday night, and I'm going to say it on a Friday night, the tart are down when you're in a scar. And if you only win here, it does make you horny. There's no doubt about it, right? 100%. Oh, you think it's a scar draw? I think it's a scar draw. And I can't decide between one arm and two arm. Steak-ma-season is back at Outback Steakhouse. I, I, listen, if this was Man City gone up, I know this was back to Arsenal or Chelsea or anybody. If Man City were going to the Emirates or Stanford Bridge, eight points behind it, I think they torn around and they take themselves, take the draw. Yeah, I think we beat them at home. It'll bring it down the foyer. We only need them to slip up one more time and we're on their necks. You know, like, see if you're looking at a gone, right? It's Christmas period. We were eight behind. We have to beat them at home. That gets us down the foyer. Christmas period is horrible. We need to be really good through it. If they falter once, we're down, we're down to, we're down to four, eight points, two, three points. And we're on their neck for the second half of the season. But not with Liverpool. The mentality of Liverpool is different. They know who Liverpool will walk. And they know when Liverpool get ahead of steam. You know, the walls are always there. And even when a new manager, the walls are always there, because it actually affects them less because it's a new manager, I think. Because I think the enjoyment I get, the new experience at all feels new, fresh. I'm a fucking having a great time here. For a lot of these players, it is. For an awful lot of players who are in the squad, they're experiencing all of this for the first time. I get that, but for an awful lot of them in the squad, it's not, it's muscle memory, right? And there's key ones in the squad that it's muscle memory for. Oh, yeah, that's a bit of a hard one. And I think, I think the fact that it's fresh and stuff like that, even if you get, like I said, you get your nose bullied somewhere, I think Slaw has been so measured in what he's done. He hasn't talked to him and went, "Yeah, we're fucking great." You know, and he could have easily been doing because he's a new manager going, "I'm gonna hammer me fucking me. "I'm ahead of the game here. "I'm gonna have to, you know, my head on points here. "I'm gonna hammer this home because we've been really good." But he hasn't, he's been so level headed that the fee leaves him level headed. You know what I mean? - Yeah. - But I think it's a score draw. I genuinely think it's a score draw. And I don't think it's the worst thing in the world. I don't think it's the worst thing in the world. I think it's gonna be a really good game. I think the narrative's in the game itself. There's loads of, there's absolutely loads of them. They don't get me wrong. I'd level up a lot more to come out and tell me, "Yeah, I'll have to 24 minutes to level up here." I'd love not more than that. I just feel that... - These games don't tend to do that. - No. - And I think it'll be in a bad, it feels like a game that's in a balance. And I think, I think, see, you have to go for broke. And I think, if they go for broke, they have to attack. I mean, they attack that really fucking go, Kev. But when the attack remains, it means they have to defend it away. And I don't think they're the best at that. - I don't think they're the best at that. - That's where they see goals. - That's where they see goals. - Yeah. - Let's see how it is. Last question, Kev. - Go on. - And this is what I'm trying at you. And it's probably not fair to try at you, right? But I was looking at, I was looking at fixtures today. And I'm gonna be honest with you. I was looking around because, I know it was Manchester City and everything. And I remember the thing from the Blue Room last week, where they were going, it's an awful fucking run of games we have. And I looked up evidence on the games and they're like, it's a fucking awful run of games. They have right to the middle of January. We are looking on, there's an argument here. They might pick up less than 6.2 between now and the middle of January, right? - There is an argument on that 'cause the run is madness. But live up here, we'll have a run of new castle away. Everton away, they've spores away, right before Christmas, they've lost their home. There's a load of games thrown in there, right? Question to you is, Kev. Where do you expect Liverpool to be? Come before us to January. - Come first, January, expect us to be top of the table. - Okay. - I expect us to have a double digit lead at the top of the table as well. - Right. - 'Cause... - Are you expecting that? - I expect that, and it's not an arrogance in saying that, it's literally a case of I see how consistent we are and how inconsistent everyone else is. And when you look at the Premier League table, like tonight's fixture, Brighton, - So Southampton, finish it. Yeah, finish one more. - Apparently those are seven men of VIR review. - I gotta see this. Gotta have to see why you make sure you book them. - Make sure you book them a minute of time to yourself because then I don't know when I'm... - I don't know, the feeling of the van, most of the girl, over the smoke, I forgot to fucking get back to them. I don't, seven minutes is a fucking horrendous amount of time to make a decision. - I just, I'm just looking at how we're playing and how everyone else is playing. Everyone is taking points out for everyone else. And it always seems to be the case that normally the table by now has spread apart. You know, you're usually seeing the gaps. - You might see top five. - You see one and two, and then you see maybe a break. - Four, five, six, yeah. - Four, five, five, and then a bit of a break, and then six to 10, and then the rest. - The rest, yeah. - It's not that way. This season, this season. - Sorry, Kevin. - Abraham, Abraham says. Seven minutes, I guess, well, the decision was very wrong. (laughing) - Yeah, or what did you expect? - Absolutely fantastic. - Good luck. (laughing) - Well, no, I just think that out of just unsure consistency alone, I mean, I think if we can, if we be man sitting here the weekend, a new castle always a tough one, always is, usually a good game. Well, I watched their game against West End, and they were too close up front, and they were leaky. So, last time, last Derby at Goodison is gonna be huge. - Yeah. - I don't think Slop gets emotional about fixtures. - Yeah. - He hasn't been here long enough, too. So, you'll just look at it as a game, players have to manage that themselves. And then it's like, you know, going to travel, I think, a way to full them? - No, home to full them on the, so we have-- - Full to full them. - Yeah, it's tough, you know? - I think it's the next one. Wednesday, we play new castle away. - New castle. - Which is the, which is the tour of December, is it? - Fair enough. No, the 4th of December, I think. - Yeah. - 29, 24, yeah, yeah, the 4th. And then three days they are early kick-off, I think, against Everton, which would be the 7th. And then we, the follow and Saturday, we play full of my home. Then we're a way to Southampton, the League Cup on the 18th. A way to spores on the 22nd, home to Leicester on the 26th. And then I can't remember who we're a way to between Boston, Day, Stevens' Day. No, Leicester are home on the 26th, sorry. - Yeah. - And then I don't know who we have taken over. - Yeah, I don't know who we have between the 26th and New Year. There's obviously an away game here somewhere. - Yeah. - But I just, I mean, I'm trying to think who we have in play, to be honest with you, Kat. - Yeah, I think, I have, you have to be honest and just say, look, it's not an arrogance thing by saying, I think we'll have a double digit lead by then. - The only thing, the reason I say that is, because I think we'll consistently just knock off three points. I fully expect us to be out of the League Cup against Southampton away. Purely and simply because that's the one game in the middle of all the chaos where you're either going to bring in players who need minutes or rest a large portion of the squad. - Yeah, I don't, I wouldn't be saying, I wouldn't be saying I fully expect to go out because I think Southampton are in that bit of an issue where they're going into a busy Christmas. And they're not cut or drift, do you know what I mean? - No. - Because Southampton were sitting on three points and say 17 to the League were on an 11 point, you're going, they're eight points after fucking their fault. But I don't think it is, Kat, but I think they might go. - No, it isn't. - Three or four points of safety, you know? And so they'd be looking at that League Cup going on, as we began on the fucking 22nd and the 26th and the 29th and the 2nd, we need our players. So I think it'll be one of those where I know it's a League Cup quarter final, but right, it feels an awful lot. Like that'll be two largely second teams, string, so they don't ever want to interfere. - Well, fantastic, whatever happens to happen. But it's, I just can see us looking at that game as the reset for the next block of fixtures before third round of the FA Cup. I mean, this weekend, coming up now as the second round of the FA Cup. - Yeah. - And it's like, so if you look at, this block of fixtures up to the League Cup, the League Cup quarter final, and then the next block of fixtures up to the third round of the FA Cup. That's how he's gonna break this down. - Yeah, sorry, I just got the fixtures up there to help us really. So we have City of Home, New Castle Away on Wednesday. The Saturday early kickoff is so everything away. Then we go away to Jerome on the Tuesday. Then we have Fulham on the following Saturday. Then we have the Southampton game away to spores on the 22nd. Home to Leicester on the 26th. Away to West Ham on the 29th. Home to Manchester, you know, you're down on the fifth of January. - Yeah, I mean. - And then I'm presuming, I'm presuming the Paul and the FA Cup in somewhere. So there's probably a League game, but there's no weekend there. That has, oh no, there is just the weekend of the 11, 12, and that must be the total round of the FA Cup. - Almost, yeah. - Yeah. - So you expect us to be top of the League? - I expect us to be top of the League at that stage. - Right, I probably phrased the question wrong. You expect to be top of the League double-digit League, right? I'm looking, and that's fun, 'cause I look around and I think to myself, I think we can beat Man City. Although I've said the draw, but I think it's very possible we could be there. The New Castle one you never know what you're gonna get. They gotta have the steam up there to contemplate again, sorry. The other thing I think people are playing down too much, the last goal is there are goals and there's gonna be after Walmart, I think, right? - Yeah. I don't care how bad everything they are, they'll come out like fucking lunatics in that one, right? So you have to be careful. - That's the game you hope you get players that come out with that healthy. - Yeah, and the thing for me is that I think Slap maybe does go in and go, listen, these aren't very good. They're gonna be all fucking blah, blah, blah, but listen, just gonna beat them. And I think the local camp should beat them because I think they're gonna pour. Did your own one, I think you might see a bit of a resting. You have Fulham, I think you can go and be Fulham. You have this at hand, then you've got spores, you've got Leicester, you've got West Ham. And spores, you don't know what you're gonna get. They win a man's seat last week, they lost him a little bit, which two weeks ago. So you don't know what you're gonna get with them. I think spores looked really good against C, but it's hard to see, you were a bismal after the first 10 minutes. That's my idea, you want to? That's what you would expect, right? What, what, that's what you would expect from them? What would you accept going into the first journey? A lead with at least a game advantage over the side in second. So at least a four point gap to the side that was in second. You would accept that. That would be the best, I'd accept that. I'd take that into second after the season. Okay, I think that's extremely fair. I think that's extremely fair. I think that's worst case scenario, intrude. Intrude, yeah, but that's one way you're looking, you're gone. Yeah, but you know, this can happen back in the morning. I get you, my thing on, my thing on this is that I stick boy. I think the pressure's on asking to win this toil. - And I, I didn't know. - Where are they now? There are no end points behind us. - Okay. - All right. I think the pressure's on asking to win this toil because, you know, Taurus is there. I actually need to go a 2.6 points per game that will be historically good for them. It's not happening in his opinion, right? My thing on this is that, I asked someone to never have a better chance to win this toil than this season because of the Rodriguez, right? That's the first thing. The second thing is, when all's said and done, we talk about Liverpool's consistency and different things and they've had injury, we've had injury power. They are going up against the soil that has literally farmed into what they're trying to do. Okay? And in part, they're inexperienced at this sort of running and stuff like that. Having said that, you went through Liverpool's soil. There's a lot of experience in different ways, you know? Alexis McAllister's never been in the toilet running but Alexis McAllister's I think we want to walk up. He has, right? So just these things, but my thing on it is that if you base it over a period of time, all things being equal, I asked someone should be the ones that everyone's looking at to win this toil. And even at nine points behind Liverpool, I think there's another one you need to look at because, you know, they've had a difficult start to the season, I think it's all played a little bit. I think Liverpool have had it as, you know, not as difficult, but have had difficult games. Chelsea are there also, says Bankers, that's a very fair point. Chelsea feel a little bit of a work hard in all this. But what do we see happening? I see Liverpool leading the league table going into the second half of the season, which will be after the game on the 29th, I think that might bring us up to 18 games. I do see us, you know, being ahead. But I'm absolutely comfortable. I'm absolutely comfortable. If you tell me that Liverpool are level are we in a point of action and see you go into the second half of the season. And that's not me saying, I expect us to be sure and expect them to be excellent. I just think, no matter what way this goes in the next four weeks, right? That pressure on them is never going to drop. It's never going to lay off because of the way they've spoken themselves up. Whereas I think Liverpool could take a little bit of a beating here and here and come out of a gun. That's fucking second half of the season. What a point to head or a level or two point to head or a point ball in. This is fucking great. You know the sort of way? No one expected, we've taken a rough ensemble and no one expected us to be this close to this and walk after, do you know what I mean? That's not me being the featest in any way. I'm just, I think, it's just marrying up with learning, enjoying it and going on, right? And sometimes, you're going to be, sometimes, Kev, I could be sitting here for a week on lads. We've beaten Mansey. We've torn down our Fulham, Everton, fucking Newcastle, Spores, Leicester, West Ham, and we're going to again and again, you know? And now I'm our fucking... We're in cruise control. You know, we're coping. What I'm saying is, in order to enjoy learning, keep going, I'll actually not keep too much pressure in yourself, right? You have to remember that that pressure on Arsenal, in particular, is going to stay there for the whole of the season. And it could be the one... Someone made the point in the chapter on your run. The amount of money Arsenal have spent on this squad over the last three, four years, they have to achieve something this season, because they're on the verge of that side, I think, facing a bit of a break-up. Because they can't maintain the level of spending that they're at at the minute and keep that squad together. You know, every summer, they're adding 100, 120, 130 million pounds, and they're running out of youth players to be able to sell. You know, the only other side that's in this at the minute that you look at, and they are in a non-quantity, is Chelsea. You know, because Chelsea are, I think, over-achieving and where everyone thought they'd be. I don't think anyone had them level-pegging with Arsenal and Man City at this point in the season. No, it's a case that those Chelsea and Man City have dropped down a bit of a level. Chelsea have come up, but they are where they are now, and they are where they are now, and Merritt, they're at it. Identical points with Arsenal, same number of wins, draws, losses, same goal difference, everything. You know, and yeah, they've spent a shed load of money, but they're also a very young squad who are completely inexperienced in any of this, and are all doing this for the first time, with a brand-new manager, trying to bring his style of play into it as well. So they're in a non-quantity in all of this. Are those two capable of chasing us down where we are in the form that we're in at the moment? No, they're not. They're just simply not. Yeah, and I think it's probably, like, you bring up a good point there. It's probably a fair point to look at. I'm going to ask and say, "Oh, you know, we'll do this and we'll do that." You're calling to looking, going, "Yeah, but Chelsea were appalling last season, "David, new manager as well, and your level with them." You know, so it's not like, you know, it's not like you're way ahead of your Chelsea's and your man, you know, then your sports, and your level with C.E. and we just happen to be a fluke. It's not really that, is it? You know, like, Chelsea lost on the fourth day of the season, the man C. He's lost today. Do you know what I mean? They've played her as well, haven't they? Yeah, they haven't. You've drawn there. So, you know, there's an awful lot to be said for what? When you marry them up, I say, "Okay, you might be able to go up in trajectory, "but when you're looking around the teams around you, you know..." Are you good notes? See, the other side of it is you reeled off our fixtures there. If you went and reeled off man Citi's fixtures, Chelsea's fixtures, Arsenal, Spurs. You know, and I bet you some of them still have to play each other. So, there's natural gaps going to come in the table anyway. But as long as we keep winning the games that we're expected to win. I mean, it's an old adage. You beat, you know, the bottom ten sides home and away. That's 60 points in the back, straight away. You only got to pick up another 30 points off the other nine sides. We're way ahead of that target already. You see, the thing is, how many points are we? We're on 31, 12. We're on 31 from a possible 36. So, we've 26 games left. Yeah. If we ever put one 80 in the damn games, they'd be on 86 points. Yeah. And I think 86 points by winning this season. You know? I think it could because of where everyone else is now. Yeah. And everyone's tracking upwards a little bit. Are the people around you that you'd expect it stands there are tracking upwards slowly. The big thing for me in all of this is, if Liverpool got on beatman's seat yet on Sunday, right? I put 11 points on seat and still knowing on Ursula. If Ursula dropped points before Liverpool, whatever that happens, I think they're done as well. Yeah. I mean, I said this a few weeks ago, I think they've done now purely and simply because I don't think that Arsenal side is good enough to put the kind of run that was being talked about earlier, together, together. I don't think they're good enough to average 2.6 points per game from now until the end of the season to try to put anything on where we are. And that's not to say they might not get close. I just don't think they're at that squad is at that level, you know? Yeah. And we saw the damage that was done in just losing all the guard. Yeah. You know, you go and lose – I know he's a frustrating player, but you take a tight habitat in that situation. That means everyone else has to step off. You lose Boccaya Sacco for a couple of weeks. Do you want me to point Ranga? It would leave us an 84 points tank. Yeah. I was just good. Good psalms gaff. Sorry. What the one of course is 84th, but I think 84th – I think the real chance of season 84th points. But considering this, considering this, Arsenal are currently on 22 points for the season, Murray. 22, yeah. If they win every game, they get 100 points. Every single game, they get 100 points. Have you lose two – if you lose two in drachery, right? Which is like – you've dropped 12 points, back out your 88 points. Exactly. I think if you hit 90 points this season, you'll win. Yeah. And the weightings are at Liverpool near 59 points. 59 points. So you can send them from 70 – from 78. Which means you can drop 90 points in the end of the season, which is way for it. Five defeats and two draws. Yeah. And that's why I understand people's optimism, but I think in my mind, I'm on this kind of – I'm on this thing where – what I say is a non-proression of a powerful park club, right? Our players are like, none of them fucking this thing, I'm just a fucking idiot, I'm a full player. But it's a mental thing that we've got. It's a mental thing for me to say, if I can't affect it, but if I want Liverpool to enjoy themselves and learn from it, and it's all breezy and it's all good, I think I have to be the same, don't I? I should be the same, and that's where I am, and I'm kind of going where it'll be will be. That's, you know? So. I'm at the stage at the minute where it's every game. You just look at every game in isolation, not so – because we always look at it with the line-ups and stuff, okay, if you rest this guy here, he'd be fresh up for this. But the players will look at it, okay, it's Man City next, that game, chalk it off, next Newcastle, chalk that off, and next, I think it's probably the best thing in the club ever instilled on this squad, was every game on it, you know, just one game at a time. Yeah. And chalk come off, and just mark them off. It's like a tick box at the end of the season, you know, you look back and you go, oh, that was the run we were in. No, no, no, no. I don't remember that. I just remember that game, that game, that game, that game. And they'll chalk it off that way. That's the way they'll project. Yeah. Right. Well, listen, we're meant to do an hour – we're an hour and an hour and twenty-four minutes in. Yeah. So we better get out of here. We're going to show us, we will be loyal from about six, six, fifteen on Sunday. What time is that game you can have, actually, half or isn't it? Four. You know, half three? I know. I think it might be. I think it might be four o'clock this Sunday, to be honest, I'll just double check there. I always remember the main four, it is four o'clock. Yeah. It is four o'clock. It is four o'clock. It is right. Six o'clock slash six, fifteen. On Sunday, we will have instant match reaction. I think Chris actually and my role available for that. And then myself, Emma, Shawnee and Keith will be with you from ten p.m. on Sunday night. And then from Monday, we will have all the shows you're used to and of course, games will come and take them fast and then make sure that you have Emmett's doing an awful lot of work with the TikTok account or, you know, nothing about. So I'll leave him to that. And cares having a look at the blues going for us, Chris is looking after Twitter for us. And I'm going to go and look at the more video stuff and get it out there for you. So we will be doing that from Monday. So set all your fuckin' applications on, let your firm absolutely hop off the table because we're acting the megapot and loads of stuff out. But if it is one more stuff, just tell us what you want and we'll try our best. That's how we roll. Thanks a million to Kev. Thanks a million to myself.
