They've let us loose again. Kev, what's going on? It's a lot better, is it? No, no. How do things make you all right? Yeah, it was too bad, not too bad. It was a Champions League game tomorrow, did you know? Do you know what? I was really chilled out about that already. Oh, no, don't start. Oh, you're bad now? I'm sorry, you've been intrigued. No, I was literally saying, I've got to get a haircut, man. Look at the state of this bar, no. No, I was quite chilled out about tomorrow night. I know it was Madrid and I know it was a big game. The press conference. I know the press conference has got up your go, didn't it? Yeah, I come home from work a half-three, and it's like, Rob was on, and I was watching a bit of it. I was like, yeah, yeah, Madrid. I know it's a group game, and we're safe enough. We'll get into the top, but we should do. We're all right. But, and then it's just like, listen, it's a slot. And it's like, yeah, okay, I'm getting a bit of a buzz now for tomorrow night though. And then I was watching Sky Sports News and the Belling & Fawning show started. And then the Belling & Press conference started, and it all came back in floods. It all came back in floods. How much I hate this club so much. Everything about them, reeks of arrogance. It reeks of everything that you hate about football, is wrapped up in a ball with that lot. I fucking detest them with an absolute passion. So I just hope we're going to tomorrow night, and it's steamroll, absolutely molarum. Probably won't happen, but look, I hope it does. But now I'm really looking forward to it. Well, it would be nice. We haven't actually beaten Madrid since 2009. We've lost the last six in a row against them, which is, honestly, they are our kryptonite. We're there a bunny at the minute. Bar, one chap in his league. It's like they've got the wood over us in a big, big way, and it's whether it's a mental thing or what, because we've battered them and lost. Yeah, we've battered them in the final. We've got beat one, it was just one of those days, or no, fortunately. Exactly. But the five two lost, it was just that they were level up. They didn't panic at 2-0-0-0, because we're all surprised we were 2-0-0-0. But they didn't panic, and that was it, though. They just didn't control them. I remember that. I remember that game for different reasons. Oh, yeah, yeah, the whole cat gate still will worth it. I still wait for that to appear on the memories. Oh, I drove with this. It's going to say Belligan Presso got me fired up. Yeah, it was pretty sad that stuff. Asked him about trends, and he kind of did the straight bat of, "Yeah, he's been there. I'll see him for England. I'm not going to talk about him in any other way." Sort of let slip that he didn't enjoy the criticism he got during the oros from the press, which I was like, "I'll not be funny, but you're in Madrid." I can't imagine the barrel laughs in Madrid with their press. If you're not playing well, I mean, the Spanish press aren't exactly relaxed when Madrid don't play well, or Barcelona. So, you know, it's kind of comes of a territory, really, doesn't it? Be an interest again, okay? Because they've got quite a few missing as of week, which Slott rightly pointed out. You know, so for us, you know, Alison didn't train today, but I don't think he was ever expected to. I don't think he'll start at the weekend either. My gut feeling is, I don't think he's backed on Newcastle, which to ask is fine because Cal has to be fine. Cost has been out for a couple of weeks, there's a bit of a blow to the squad rotation, because I think cost us what it started tonight. All he would have started out. I think cost us would have got one of these three games. So, are we going to have to rob her to do three in a week? Or are we going to use a bit of Joe Gomez? I mean, the fact Rob did the press, says he's starting. I don't know about that. Yeah, no, I don't know about that. I think he'll have it in his head, the next three fixtures, and two of them are at home. I think he'll want to use Trent in some way, shape, or form, even if it's off the bench to try to take the minutes, to try to shoulder some of the minutes for Bradley, because Bradley had the two games from Northern Ireland. Plus, I think it's underestimated the amount of energy that we put into that Southampton game. We did an awful lot of pressing in that game. And by the end of it, there was a few of them. Dominic Zabazla, especially, was running on fumes and running through treacle. Robert looked at his leg for a gamma 20 minutes ago. I think, irrespective of the cost, I think really, I expect Joe Gomez to be really involved over the next few fixtures, and given... Yeah, which is... The point you need in power, isn't it, isn't it? Yeah, but I think we're going to find out an awful lot about kind of Bradley tomorrow night and how the clubs see him, because there's two ways, two schools of thought for me. Do you start him knowing that Killeen Abape has probably been playing off the left wing and say, "Here you go." I'll handle one of the best left wingers in the world at the moment, who's an absolute speed demon, and see how you get on, or you protect them a little bit, and use Joe Gomez as your more experienced defender, and play Madrid a kind of a different way, where we try to... We soak it up and draw them in to play them on the break. We've tried so many different ways playing Madrid, but it seems like the bigger the opposition that we've played so far this season, we've been more than happy to give them the ball, and say, "Yeah, we'll go at you when we can go at you, when we feel secure enough to go at you." You get me, it's like... I don't think we'll go... Yeah, no, I just don't... No, I don't think we'll go at them, like we have done in the past. I think it might be a bit more of a patient approach, and I think right back is the question, because I think I do think Robo is going to start, wouldn't do in the press, but I suppose it's how fit is Trent, because if he's only going to do five, 10 minutes at this game, he's unlikely to start City then, so I would say you're probably going to start Bradley again City, so maybe this is the game to put Gomez right back, to protect Bradley's leg a little bit and give Bradley City. Yeah, it seems to me the decisions we've got to make now is almost... I think we've earned, slot has earned the right to have one-iron man City with tomorrow night's fixture, and irrespective of the fact that it's Reimadred, it's a group game, and it's a group where we're comfortable enough in at the minute. They have to come and try, they have to come and get a win really, but they have to at least leave with a fourth. We're not in the position of the chase or at the minute, so for me the biggest fixture is the one of the weekend, and our injuries, while everyone else is dramatising about their own injuries and other clubs, ours are slowly, we should be creeping up that, and the options to be able to rotate ain't there at the minute. Yeah, I mean, the hope is, of a look is probably over side of City, like Newcastle Everton, it's probably when you would expect to see jotterback, probably Kiaza, probably Alison, and Simicast, they said a couple of weeks, so he might make the Everton... he might make the Everton game, so if you go and down that route, it's only two more games, touchwood, nobody else gets a knock. And maybe it'll be interesting, because I expect McAllister to come straight back in, because I think that's the reason, probably because of this long travel, partly because, I think this sort of game you want McAllister to grab on Virtual Start, I think that it's a bit of a flip for Koi, but the other one. Because Supper's like, was effective against Simon, took his goal well, his off-the-ball running was really good, and Jones was quietly efficient, again, pressed, I do want this Jones to go to the start, because that's why you took off first. I think Jones started the situation. I think Jones started mainly because of the amount of minutes that Saba's life he's been asked to play over the last, over the international break. And genuinely, it was so clear that even the Sky commentators didn't miss it. You know what I mean? The way he was moving towards the end. But yeah, I think that he would probably be the one to maybe come use off the bench, but also you still have Harvey Elliot as a bench option as well. But I don't know. Yes, we know Harvey's not going to start, because he's already said Trenton Harvey already, but they're off the bench options. I've had an attack. I think Sal and Diaz definitely start, and that is, do you go with Darwin through the middle? Because they've got a very young centre back. So do we go with his physicality? He's got a couple of goals. He gets rounded. Or do we go back to Diaz's false down and try and get them with movements if we're going to sit deep, use his pace in the break? I'll be honest. I'm more likely to be an option, to be honest. But that's how I do it. Yeah, that's how I do it. I don't get on the wing. Diaz through the middle, basically like a floating forward. You know, he's very good on the ball. He's very good at taking the ball in the half turn and running with it and getting you up the pitch 20 yards. You know, and he's very good at taking players on. You know, I think we might need that. They're midfield options. Well, I think there's an undoubted quality in their midfield. And what's the Dortmund game, especially in the first half? And Dortmund ripped them to shreds at times. But I know Madrid came back and won a comfortable in the end. But they were really easy to play through. I think it seems like I'll add a bit of the field there with them as well off the ball. Press the life out of them. But it'll be interesting because I think Darwin starts one of these two games, but maybe with City's lack of defensive cover and apparently John Stone might have got a finish again. I think that's a good game. But Ruben Deers has done the bench tonight. I was a walker. I was arrested. But Claudia doesn't like playing Ruben Deers again. He's a little bit away. He always needs to take him out, for some reason. He's got this thing in his head about Ruben Deers, play that out. Yeah, I just don't think he's got much of a choice. I don't know. Yeah. So it's just them. That's for another day. Yeah, look. So it's just had a cool, sorry. It'll be far and gone. Oh, and you're from the same, go. Well, this is kind of similar to the team that they put out at the weekend, where for some god knows reason, the play at Valverde is a right bet. But they're playing against the side where you're not really going to be defending too much. So he kind of ended up in midfield all the time. And they left Rudiger and Accentio at the back. To just patrol the back, really. But the way they've got him lined up here is Ferlin Mendy, who didn't play at the weekend. Rudiger, Accentio and Valverde again, right back. But you're saying to me that, what's his name? Lucas Vasquez might be available. So he's one option. Core to us, Hall of a Keeper, we know that he'll play. But it's the rest of the side that he's got quality. No doubt about it. All right, Guler, where his future is up in the air at the minute, there's a talk of him maybe going on low, following very similar lines to what Odiger has done. Yeah, Camabinga on doubt of quality. Madrich, despite his age, you'll get in our 70 minutes out of Madrich. And that's worth it, you know. But in this case, what did he do with Bellingham? I think they'll play midfield three. Then he'll be Guler, Camabinga, and Madrich in the middle. With Bellingham in the fall of his turn. Yeah, basically, falls nine, you know. Which second strike could tell you? Well, the Champions League, that's where he... But when they were the Champions League, that's where he played his best football for them. Yeah, Mbappe will almost definitely be coming up the way. Ibram Diaz will be the other one, you know. But they've got a list of long injuries as well. You're talking Carbajal, Alba, Milletal, Churmani, Rodrigo, Venetius. You know, they're missing serious players as we are. But... It's one of them, you know. It's one of those games. They are, I think, looking at the table. You just have a quick look at the table, where they are in the middle. As it stands now, would fixtures going on tonight? We've dropped down to third, within to Milan and Barcelona both win in. Because as it stands at the minute, for those who are watching it back late, it's 9.15 at the minute, so the second halves are going on. Madrid at the minute are in 20th on four points. Sorry, on six points with four games played, with four games left to play, you know. So, you know, even if they don't get a win tomorrow night, they will qualify for the playoffs. But with this way, the Spanish winter break tends to work. They'll come back to a massive fixture pilot in January. They won't want that. But at the minute, 8th is sat on 10 points. So, they'll come back to the table. Future U faces some big expectations, work out more, go to bed earlier, and most importantly, make smart money decisions. And also with their winter break as well, they've got a similar problem. So, which is why I asked the winnings big for that, because they need to get those back in the top eight, sorry. Yeah, exactly. It's all really condensed, because it's only an eight-game sprint, really. You know, a couple of wins or a couple of losses makes a massive difference. You know, it's not really until you get down to two games to go, and you can see worst-case scenario, where you're going to finish, and best-case scenario where you could finish, you really know where you are. At the halfway stage, anything could still happen. But yeah, I think, with them sat at six points after four games, scored nine, conceded seven. With that forward lineup that they have available to them, it's just really below par. It's unlike them in, you know, many ways. But they're going to win tomorrow night. That pushes them up on the same point, so it was Milan, Atletico Madrid, Villa, Bayern Munich, Brussey Dortmund. So, you know, it's all back on for them. So it's all really on for them. Whereas if we win tomorrow, we jump back to the top on 15 points, and then we really know we're settled. You know, so it's a big thing. Yeah, if we win tomorrow, you probably need one point from the last couple of games, and then, because we always think 16, they'll do it. So, yeah, they might be better side. You're right. We're out for this year, but I mean, that's what you use them for. They use them to cheat, to stay up, if you know what I mean. Bit like we do with Salah. So obviously, there was Salah Chat in the press. Yeah, do you want to say a general chat about it? Yeah, because it. Yeah, we may as well. Partly Cruz comments, but to be honest, if you don't get any comments, there's still one of his Salah Chat. There's going to be Salah Chat until a decision if made either way. My general gist of it is, now I've got over the annoyance of it, is it's part of the game. I don't like it. It's done in public, but the interesting was listening to the Anfield rap, and they spoke to Louis Steele, isn't it, from the mail? Yeah, I lose it. Who's that one, the newer journalist. Yeah, Heat Beatty said, Salah sought them out and went to it, and actually caught them on the hop. They're like, "Oh, you want to talk to us?" And he said, he looked at you, what he wanted to say, he said it. So when Virgil came and spoke to him, they don't know what to ask Virgil, because they're all a bit caught off guard. But he chose his words very carefully. You know, I'm disappointed. I'm not going to be given an official. I'm more out than in. Well, you are more than you are more out than in when you're not starting a contract, because you've only got six months left. You know, says to me, whatever the preliminary talk says, he wants to hurry him up, and he's trying to hurry the club up to get a deal done. Now, my gut feeling is, there's nothing to do with wages. I think it's all about contract length. I've seen Caragut saying, you know, he's disappointed in Salah, and you know, he should just keep his mouth shut. Caragut also was known to all those players. I've done this with the contract renewal. So it's part of the game. I would prefer not to do it this week, when it's when we've got Madrid, we've got City, they should be the story, not this. But, at the same, on the other side, the club I've left themselves open to this. There are a bit of games there, because that's where we can give reasons why we're delayed and things like that. But you've left three key players with six months left in the contract. This is always going to be the conversation. They need to nip it in the board soon, before it becomes a distraction. What we don't want is another longer bike, like we entered the club. Yeah, and Dan J there, I 100% agree with what Caragut said. So do I. There's a time and a place for these conversations, and I guarantee you that press conference today doesn't get a mention of more Salah's contract. Without more Salah seeking out a journalist to make a point after he'd won a game at Southampton. He could have made the same point if we'd have beaten Man City at the weekend, but he can't take that risk. Because there's every chance that we could go into tomorrow night's game and possibly lose. And there's every chance that we could go into the weekend's fixtures against Man City and Loops. Two possibilities that are real. They're real possible. But he decided to use a platform to go out and say what he wanted to say. And that's the game. You're right, it is the game. I don't like that. It's football. I've never liked that aspect of football. And to say that the journalist didn't know what to ask Virgil bullshit. There was a press officer stood behind Virgil. So there was a press officer stood behind Mo. Mo just went and spoke to them. The press officer was behind Virgil and I guarantee you that press officer told the journalist or Virgil told him, "Don't ask me about contracts. I'm not talking about them." Guarantees, they've already done it. Yeah, because they wouldn't be doing their job. But they wouldn't be doing their job. Well, if they wouldn't be doing their job, if they didn't turn around, by the way, Mo just said this. What's your reaction? And by the way, what's your contract situation going on like as well? They wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't told beforehand. Don't talk about this, because I'm not talking about it. So Mo made a point after winning the game, to go and say what he had to say. And look, he's perfectly within his rights. And I think there's a deal there to be done for all parties concerned. But the deal has to be right for all parties. It can't just be right for Mo Salah to cover calling like, "No, we're being bullied and blackmailed into this." Yes, the situation is what the situation is. But at the same time, I don't believe that the club, I think they'll be flexible with what they're prepared to offer and it is the contract they're prepared to offer. But I don't think they're going to shoot themselves on the foot and write checks that down the line could prevent us being able to go and strengthen when we need to strengthen as well. Because these contracts, yes, they're renewals, but they will cost money. They're not going to be free. I don't know. The press conference then, he's slotted brilliantly as he usually does. He's become the master deflector now. He turned around and basically turned it around. I thought Robert deflected it as well, because he was the first question he got asked. He said, "I could have bought money on this being the first question." And he said, "Well, I thought you could bounce it." He's like, "What we're going to..." Because I think players are like, "What we're going to say?" I don't care when the contract's done, but I wonder about that in the summer. I think if he was actually the bollocks in training, I think then they'd have something to say about it. But there's no sound of that. No, and the other side of it is, look, I'd be honest. I'd be amazed if the players themselves didn't know. I'd be amazed if the squad didn't know. I'd not the squad so much, but the senior players will have inklings. Yeah, they'll have inklings of what they want to do. They might not have come out and said, "By the way, I'm signing, I'm staying." But they will have a feeling about how this is going. I mean, look, I hope all three stay. I genuinely do. But I'll be honest, up to three, Trent's doing one, I think it's the most ambiguous part that goes to his age. I can see who his age was and the Madrid move would appeal to him. And, you can only breathe social media rumours. But there is a feeling and the way certain journalists so you feel like there's a deal to be done for Salah and Bandaiq. And you kind of feel like it's, you know, not close, but, you know, you can't, they're probably in the ballpark and it's just like ironing it out. Yeah, I mean, there's no real talk about. There's no real talk about either. There's no talk that he's declined. There's no talk that they're close to good. That's the one that's probably interesting. And I'm assuming he'll probably, it'll be a fight. It'll be a fight between him and Salah who's last because they'll be the two biggest deals. I think the Bandaiq won't be probably around what he is now. I can't believe we understand how a deal for Trent Alexander Aaronos. It can be seen in the same life as the deal with Mo Salah. They're not going to get anywhere near close to the same ballpark way choice. Not a hope. There is no way in God's green earth, you're paying a right back. The bonds are 300 grand a week. It's just never going to happen in a month or so on this. Madrid won't do it either way. I think. Madrid will never do it. He might do, but that's nowhere near. Yeah, but I think that's what I wonder if he's waiting for Virgil to get his deals. And he says, I want, he might say, I don't want Mo's money, but I want to be. Maybe he wants to be second, because he thinks he's there. It says the captaincy. That may be the case, but he's never. Carver Hall at remedied, arguably their best player last year. One of their longest club servants, one of the best right backs that ever played the game in Spain is on 200 grand, 200,000 euro a week plus bonuses and incentives, what have you. There is not a hope and help that Madrid are going to offer Trent Alexander-Arnold more than that. They might nudge it a little bit. No, but I suppose he will get. He'll get a side again. That's fine. That's fine, non-faith. Well, mate, he's got to get a side again on Madrid as well. He's got it for Liverpool as well. Yeah, yeah. So the money that's going to be under table for Trent, between what he's going to get at Madrid and what he's getting at Liverpool, is ballpark going to be in and around the same? So the question really is, do you want to stay at Liverpool? Do you see actually the question really is, do you see a future at Liverpool where you can compete for major honors with Aaron Aslott, with Richard Hughes at the helm and with the state of the club at the minute? Do you have trust in the hierarchy of the club to keep investing in bringing in the right players to keep us competitive? Now, if he does, then he'll stay inside. If he doesn't, then he'll go to Madrid where it's going to be, one of two teams is going to be competing to win the title. And they'll be knocking around last four of the Champions League every year, because they just did. And that's it. I mean, for me, it comes down to that. Does he want to stay and basically challenge and be like Jamie Carragher, play 7-800 games for the club and go down, or, you know, be remembered in 50 years time as the best right back to play for the club? Or does he want to go to Steve McMahon and Michael Owen route? Yeah, I had a really good time at Liverpool, I did what I did, and I went for pastures new and probably about it in 10 years time when the fans don't look at him the same way, as Michael Owen did today. Yeah. Yeah. And that's his choice. Yeah. Yeah, I read some of the Michael Owen piece. Some of the headlines may talk a little bit about our context saying you should go in playing, oh, he said he should go to Madrid. He basically said he did it, he did the challenge, and he regrets it, because it didn't work out and actually he's a bit of a prior. I think also the fact he went to Man United probably made you more of a prior than it does. That was the only thing that made. Yeah. In hindsight, I think if he knocked on to Man United, I think he might have got a bit more of a fair crack of the way to beat the doctor. The Man United move killed it. Oh, that ended for me, totally. I mean, I understand the scenario where he wanted to come back to Liverpool, the door was closed to him, Newcastle was there, Newcastle were a big club. You know, go to me, he went to Newcastle. I don't, I'm looking back in hindsight, I have no problem with that. You know, but for him to turn around and say the only afterwards that I wanted to leave, wanted to leave Newcastle was I moved to Manchester United, or I moved down to down the league to the likes of Fulham. Hang on a minute, mate. You telling me that Manchester United were interested in you in not any other club? Bullshit. You know, you went to Man United because Fulham was the other club that won to the robotics. I don't believe that for a second. But if that's the story he wants to stick with, then stick with it. I don't really care. John Summers makes a quick point there. Hi guys, Thalston, how much we can get for Kelleher if we sell him? He's been brilliant this season, I think, 35 to 40 million. I do too, if he had four years or five years left in his contract. I think he's got contract, I think so, you probably look at it. I think you're looking at the moment, Magnus. That'll help. You won't get that. I think we're two years left in this deal. It depends. I think the club will do him a solid end. Yeah. I think if an English could try to go for it, I think the price will hike up. If he was going up. Yeah. I don't think that price, I don't think that price would have been moved. I could definitely see him doing a job at a top club in Germany, a top club in France, or a top club in Italy. There's a fair few British and Irish players making that be right now. I think so, but there's a fair few British and Irish players making the track to Italy. It's definitely an area where I think he could do really well there. Especially the way Italian football is starting to evolve with playing from the back. They want keepers to be footballers as well as top quality keepers. But I think, yeah, I think you'll be looking to get it, but I think we get it 15 million pounds. But it's now against the thing now, when you get an Italian side in Europe now, you're like, "Oh, for fucks sake." It's like this is going to be a grind this now. We're going for a good 5-10 years. For a good 5-10 years, it's kind of like, yeah, it's tricky one, but it's just like going to a lower Premier League side, you'll see them off. Whereas now you go in like, "Oh no, you have to take me seriously." You know, I mean, listen, look at Asil Antidin to Liverpool and to Bayley, because they're not even the best team in Italy. You know, that's what they do. No, that even goes. Nice and moderate over ready. Asilom, I'll just turn Madrid over comfortably, instead of turned Arsenal over. You know, Italy's a no joke, really, so... Come on, how do you see this game going then? Because, you know, too good, look, Madrid are good side. They've had a good mistake. You run in Europe, but domestically, they've been doing okay. I think... Four points off top, aren't they? Something like that? Yeah. No, I think Barcelona did a job on them. You know, Barcelona did a job on them in Casco. But other than that, they've been churning out wins. And I don't think the front three, Agilati, has figured out a way to... Never quit. No, to get all three played together. But I think with Venetius not there, and Rodrigo not there, I think you could look at... I think Mbappe will look at tomorrow night as being, "I'm going to show you who I am and what I'm all about tomorrow night." You know, you're coming up against his, you know, a French colleague, teammate, guy who's taken on the captaincy of France. He was dropped for the last few games. So, you know, I think tomorrow is a serious test, just a savage test, no doubt. This episode is brought to you by Progressive Commercial Insurance. Business owners meet Progressive Insurance. Order yours in the app. Yeah, yeah, um, rarely I, I fancy as a Miss Madrid. Normally, Miss Madrid, I'm always a bit, its more the hope, it's more hope than anything else, but I just think the form would in, you know, and because it's at home, if it's at the bird about it'll be more worried, but I would, I feel like it's going to be like a 2-1 or 3-1 of the book. I think most scores and I fancy kernelity from the corner. And if we get a third, it might be like a breakaway with like a downward or something like that, but I think they'll score because, well, they always score against the book. If it thinks the last six times, if we've done that, so, so I think it'll be tight game, but I think it'll be a good game though. Yeah, it's, I think it'll be tight, I think the first half will be tight. I can't see it being in twins, an in-twin tennis match. I think it'll be a bit of a tactical game, a technical first 20 minutes feeling out. It'll be interesting to see what the atmosphere is like, because look, there's definitely going to be no love lost in the crowd from Madrid. And they won't want to repeat of the last time that they came to Anfield. Well, we literally just made it. You know, we, we fell apart. But yeah, that's true. I mean, don't want to put a marker down for where we are in the season, and they won't want to be turned over at home. So I think it'll be, I think it'll be disciplined for maybe the first half, see how it evolves. You know, if we get, if we get something great, or whatever, they don't concede. I think that would be the mindset for the first half in our, maybe, sorry, first half, maybe the first 60 minutes, you know, and see how the game evolves. It'll be interesting. It'd be really, really want to watch is to see what we do it right back. And if we play a counter-bradley, how much help is he going to get on that side, likely from Curtis Jones, and how will he handle Mbappe when Mbappe is on full flight? Because I think it's the one thing that you can level up counter-bradley, he ate the quickest. You know, so, positionally, he's going to have to do right on it. Yeah, that's probably the thing he's still learning a little bit. That's probably like the forest goal. I think there's probably the Southampton breakaway that that was when he got caught out a little bit positionally. But look, was he 19, if not? On a rattler? You know. Yeah, 19-20? 19-20, yeah. Yeah, so he's on it. Yeah, so, you know, he's going to make these sort of mistakes of learning curves. They're just things of experience, and you've picked that off. It's a good test for him. But, and this is not me saying I'm all right, I was losing, because I don't want to lose because of what he's doing. He's 21. He's 21. Oh, God. Olden, you think? He's rubbish then, to get rid of him. He's finished. He's 21. That's it. Done. Because of how well we've done the first four games, we've put ourselves in a nice position now where this game now isn't the be all and end on, and the must win. I'll be honest, you will, though, start season, that week's over horrendous. That's going to be that must win, must win, must win. We've given ourselves a cushion where, you know, we don't have to chase the game, if you know what I mean. We don't have to go, we've got to win this game at all costs, which, every time we've played Madrid, it's been a final, or it's been a second like I feel where we're chasing it. So, that has helped us a little bit. It might play as well, hands, because they've got to chase it. So, they've got to be a bit more adventurous than Madrid normally liked to be. Madrid normally liked to soak it up and then wear you out. So, it'll be an interesting battle. We'll see who he does like. The benches could be important, could be important, I think, tomorrow. Big time. And I can imagine their bench is going to be two-week irrespective of whether we know many of the names that are on there or not. Player that we haven't even talked about is Fettie Valverde. I mean, the guy is actually top-top. I wish he played for the top-top. I wish he played for the fourth. I do, too. I think he's one of those players in World Football. If I had a pick of any player out there at the minute, he'd be top of the list. He's absolute quality. The other thing you've got to look at as well, we've got to resolve tomorrow night and the confidence that you take from that going into Sunday is huge. At the minute, Man City or 3 won up, he's fine with 10 minutes to go. They're going to have broken that back of that thing where they've lost five games on the bench. They massively needed to do that. But at the same time, from what I looked at the stats in the first half of that game, they dominated the ball completely and it was a late hal and penalty in the first half of that game. I think the confidence that we could take from beating Madrid, depending on how we beat them, but beating Madrid, the confidence you could take from that, I think you're flying into Sunday's game. I think the worst thing that could happen, you go into tomorrow night, you don't get the result you want. For more importantly, you don't get the performance you need. Do you know what I mean? You can always take as Madrid, they will lose. But if you go into play against Madrid, you don't turn up and they slap you around a bit and you're sat there. Confidence is a very fickle thing and I think confidence is a large reason, a large part of why we are where we are at the minute because we look like a side at the minute, who don't know how to lose and who don't accept losing. So the confidence that you can take from that alone rolls you into the next fixture, the next fixture. And Slap made the point of it, his press conference, what he was talking about with the way Madrid, when he was talking to 49ers players about where Madrid attacked games and the way they never know they're beaten, something he wanted to instill. Something he's trying to instill in us as well, is I could never say that I never know do you beat, never give up. Which Liverpool had probably till about mid-March of last year and then the combination of injuries, catch or go out of it, you could just see the confidence go out with players completely. I think the only thing I had killed Liverpool that last season was all the players that came back from injury took too long to get back to fall. You know, look, you can't guarantee where players come back from injury, hit the ground run and the sound again. You know, most sellers are usually off, you know, which led to talk of his demise being rather overrated and now you look to go and he's absolutely fine. It was just his funny first big hamstring injury, took him long and then expected to recover, you know. So but listen, if you get a win tomorrow, it's just to start to a big run of fixes because I mean, this is our December now, it's City at home, Newcastle away, last Derby at Goodison Park and it's Gerona away, full of my home, Southampton away in the court, top of away Christmas and then you have, you know, so it's non-style, it's a difficult run, but it's exciting though, because that's what you want. Of course, it's exciting. So look at this run of fiction and going. I'm not worried about the picture of excitement going, we're playing well and this is actually this could be an opportunity to extend the lead or maintain the lead. You're not looking at going, we need to win these games just to get full. That was, you know, that's always the fear you had. Oh, 3-2, City game, told you it's going to be 3-3. This is going to test our mentality now, but it's literally, I'm not worried about the fixtures. If they draw 3-3, Harlan's going to chin someone, probably bad. Well, see, I'm not, I'm looking at the fixtures and the fixtures don't bother me. I just need hope that we can get as many players back as possible just so we can manage the squad through this. You know, if we can manage the squad through this, we know, we know you've got to get pick up niggly injuries at this time of year, you're always going to get niggly injuries this time of year, where some of my missing game, they might, you know, miss a couple of games here and there. But if we can manage the bulk of our squad through this group of fixtures, we'll be absolutely fine. But I think we need the likes of Jotterback, we need Kiazaa to be available. You know, Addison coming back is a big bonus. You know, get Trent back and available and cost us. You know, it's, it's literally getting them all backing in around. So we look at the bench and you go, yeah, there's real strength in depth there. The game changes there that can really make a difference. We get back to that, we'll be absolutely fine. But I don't want to be a master of that either. You want to go back to where we went with three, after the first three games, where you're looking at someone like a Harvard yelling going, I can't even get him on the pitch. Not because he's a bad player, just because, you know, there's no space. You know, you want to get back to that world where you're looking at good players going, these might not, these might not get on the pitch today, which quite, which is a nice place to be. You know, we haven't been in that position too many times. So, you know, that's what we need. It would be nice to see Kaze, I get himself. I mean, look, he's back running. I think he's involved in two or three of the sessions now. So he must become at the end of this preseason thing that putting him through, which, look, it's sensible. Someone has had a long term injury, getting up to the demands of the Premier League. And I'm also worried about that because you sounded to be your sixth choice attacker. If we sounded to be one of the main attackers, as in a regular starter, alla after mellow, which wants to do the main midfielder, then you panic because you don't fucking know where he is. So, and, like I said, we're going to have thinking back soon. I think you would think the big thing of the December got to worry about his suspensions. There's no way Karath is not picking up a bit of a bucket between now and mid-January. So we know he's going to miss it. I'd say now in 6-30pm on Demet. You know what I mean? I think he's nailed on. I think the Newcastle, it's got to be who plays centre-by. Quons are all Gomez. Yeah. And it might be Quons are now because Gomez might be needing to do a bit of all-backing. Exactly, yeah. And I don't mind that. That's fine. So, you know. I don't mind it. I did actually, if the four-backs were fit, I'd have liked to have seen Gomez get another go at centre-half because he was really good when he came on against. Oh, did he come on? What did he come on for at half-time? He was four more. Brilliant. Yeah. Both of all Bryson, Bryson. He came on for Kanata when he thought he broke his arms. And he was brilliant. So you're like, "Oh, I forgot Joe." You have to do Joe when he goes to centre-backs for ages. You go, "Oh, yeah, I forgot how brilliant he is." This is it. And the thing is, I think, look, for me, I think he needed to play before now. Joe and me, I would have played on the weekend because I think he's desperately going to be needed and I think he's going to be so short of match fitness. But look, we'll see how it goes tomorrow night. But anyway, look, it's going to be a short show. It has to be a short show. We're going to have to go on a minute. Has to be, yeah, because Gabs on at 10 o'clock we've filled. And that definitely won't be any football chat in that. So those are randomness in which you can all enjoy. So what score are you going, Kev? Two, one, Liverpool. Salud. Salud. Salud. Salud. Salud. Salud. Salud. Salud. Salud as well. Yeah, I think the S starts as well. Who scores for them? Yes. I think I've got to feel it'd be really good from the corner. He likes a gold big game, really good. Yeah, he's good player as well. Dan J's gone three-nil Virgil Salud Jones. I've been much happy with that. I don't see us doing that. I mean, listen, if we do, great. So don't forget our charity partners. So the Lighthouse Cafe and fans supporting food banks in Liverpool. So time of year, we know what it's like. It's the early December. It's getting cold. This is when these charities need our support and our money, because being homeless and doubling is no joke, especially when it's this cold. So anything that can help that and gain helping families and people get food in them over the cold winter time. So if you can donate, please donate. If not, please share it round. Look, you don't know who will touch, and hopefully that will get people there. And another sponsor is Football Prizes, who have still got care of, isn't it? Ticket available for, I think it's... Champions League program. No, it's 295. Champions League program is fully signed by all the squad. And there's loads of other spot prizes, as well as the prizes, gifts for Christmas. All that lovely good stuff. All that lovely good stuff, yeah. How are you getting all the Christmas shop with your wife, Kev? Yeah, it's a work in progress, man. It's a work in progress. Is she subscribe? Thank fuck, no. Get the token call subscription to be made up. Are we? Yeah, them as well. I'll let you into a bit of virus slag, right? When someone says, I will, yeah. I will, yeah. Oh, I know. Do you start raising me many times, and I know that's not positive. That's why I do it. Cool. So listen, we're going to make, we're, me and Kev are going to jump. We'll be, Gab and Phil will be on at 10. Tomorrow, it'll be post-match reaction, so it'll be all two lovely faces again. And actually, Ashley. That's not unless she makes it to Oklahoma. Yes, yes, because she's, you know, jet set, you know, she clearly got the battle contract, I would say, Kev. We need to work on this. We need to do a mock seller. I think we need to do a bit of press conference and, you know, get ourselves a bet. No, no, no, no. We're like, what do we, we're like the Curtis Jones and Endo of the team. No one gives a shit about us. Go on, let's go. Listen, take it out for a speech soon. See you later, guys. Ta-da. This podcast is part of the Sports Social Podcast Network.
